Following a successful run of TV shows and films this year, Zendaya will be part of an upcoming A24 sci-fi film written and directed by Alex Garland.

Although the title and plot details remain under wraps, Garland will begin filming next year, Deadline reported. This isn’t the first time A24 has worked with Zendaya and Garland. Earlier this year, Zendaya starred alongside Robert Pattinson in A24’s The Drama, while Garland has worked on titles like Ex Machina and Civil War.

The announcement comes after a historic year for Zendaya. The actress co-starred alongside Tom Holland in Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which has since become the highest-grossing film in domestic box office history. She also co-starred in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey and will soon appear in Dune: Part Three.

Once Deadline posted about the upcoming film on Instagram, Zendaya’s fans quickly took to the comment section to share their thoughts on the project.

“Zendaya leading a sci-fi movie? We’ve been waiting for this [for real],” one user commented.

“This is perfect! Love the genre and can’t wait to see Zendaya,” another said.

“Say no more, I’m seated,” a fan said.

While promoting The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day in July, Zendaya said to Elle that this year and her press tours have been a “whirlwind.”

“You’re kind of like in a new place every second, and your brain is kind of all over the place, and it’s fun and I’m grateful, and I wouldn’t change a thing, but sometimes you need to just, you know, disappear for a little bit,” Zendaya said, saying she needs to take a break once her tours wrap up.

“[Though] as soon as I take a break, I start to go crazy,” Zendaya said. “And I’m like, ‘I need to work.’”

Decades before Abbey Road Studios became one of the most famous recording studios in the world, associated not only with the Beatles but Pink Floyd, Queen, Aretha Franklin, Kate Bush and many others, it was home to a mysterious couple…one of whom died under very mysterious circumstances.

The property in North London was originally built as a private residence in 1831, and a desirable one at that, according to a 1992 article in Studio Sound Magazine. In the 1920s, John Maundy Gregory moved into the home. Gregory was a bit of a colorful character, whose business was selling “honors” (such as a knighthood or a baronetcy) for large amounts of money. He was said to split the profits with Lloyd George‘s government.

Gregory and former music hall star Edith Rosse lived there together as husband and wife, though their relationship was actually platonic. Perhaps unsurprisingly, given the nature of his livelihood, Gregory was eventually sued by the estate of a baronet who died before receiving his title. Shortly thereafter, Gregory convinced Rosse to change her will to his advantage, according to the Telegraph. Within days, Rosse was dead.

Rumors spread that Gregory had Rosse poisoned, and they only got worse when he had her buried in an unsealed coffin in a graveyard next to the Thames that was known for flooding.

While the official cause of death was cerebral hemorrhage and chronic Bright’s disease, Scotland Yard’s Chief Inspector Arthur Askew was suspicious and ordered Rosse’s body exhumed. Unfortunately, Rosse’s body was so decomposed, they were unable to come to any conclusions. It’s safe to say no one was surprised when Gregory left the country and never came back.

The most well-known story of the “elegant lady ghost” appearing at Abbey Road goes back to just before the Beatles started recording there, in the early ’60s.

The commissionaire, an ex-Hong Kong policeman called Smythe, was making a security check late one night when he looked down a dark corridor and saw a woman in a long, flowing white dress approaching. As she drifted past him, the temperature dropped. Then, she vanished. Smythe resigned the next day.

Smythe wasn’t the only member of the night security staff to have an encounter with the White Lady, who is widely assumed to be Rosse. Other strange occurrences were reported over the years, too, including rooms filling with the scent of perfume suddenly and doors opening and closing by themselves. In one of the attic rooms is a bloodstain that’s said to change colors.

One thing’s for sure: Abbey Road would be an entertaining place to haunt, especially for someone who was once a music hall star.

A new season of Grey’s Anatomy is here, and big changes are coming to Grey Sloan! Season 23 begins with the opening of the hospital’s new VIP floor, made possible by funding from health-tech Seth Norton (James Wolk). The surgical staff has about 30 seconds to enjoy the swanky place before a plane crash on the Seattle airport runway sends everyone scurrying to the ambulance bay to handle the trauma.

Apparently, even a plane calamity at a hospital named after two plane-crash victims isn’t enough to keep Seth and Catherine (Debbie Allen) from promising Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) award-winning surgical talent to an insistent VIP patient. That instantly puts Seth on Meredith’s enemies list, and his name is underlined when Catherine and Richard (James Pickens Jr.) announce that Seth is the new Chief of Surgery.

And that’s just the tip of the drama iceberg. Jo (Camilla Luddington) quit after another day of being unable to look at critically ill patients. Link (Chris Carmack) is dealing with his wife’s PTSD with a burgeoning dependence on painkillers for his shoulder. Jules (Addelaide Kane) and Winston (Anthony Hill) were enjoying a blissful honeymoon period in their secret relationship, but it hit the skids when Winston accepted a position as residency director without disclosing that he’s intimately involved with a resident. Meanwhile, Simone (Alexis Floyd) discovers she’s pregnant, a bit of a miracle, but she isn’t sure whether the father is Wes (Trevor Jackson) or Lucas (Niko Terho).

Let’s start with the new VIP floor. Is it all bad news? How is it opening the door for potential stories you haven’t been able to tell before?
Meg Marinis: It’s not all bad news. It’s definitely opening the door to some cases that we haven’t seen before and different types of patients. Medicine is constantly changing. One of the things that has arrived in the last several years is this idea of concierge, or personalized, care. It’s popping up in private hospitals everywhere. I love the conflict that it can serve our characters, but you’re going to find some levity up there as well. 

Are you trying to turn the audience against James Wolk? That seems rude. 
Marinis: You know what? We are really good at those villains you come to love here on Grey’s Anatomy. Nobody can be turned against James Wolk. He’s fantastic, and he’s a fantastic Seth Norton. 

Last season Meredith said she wanted to be in town more to do more surgeries. How does having Seth as the new Chief of Surgery affect that?
Marinis: He’s definitely going to annoy her, but she always puts patient care first. I don’t think the presence of somebody, even if he’s a villain, would ever deter her from her mission of operating and saving lives.

Obviously, he and Meredith are going to have tension. Does anyone else have serious issues with Seth Norton this season?
Marinis: I’d keep my eyes on Richard. He’s been at Grey Sloan a long time. He has seen leadership come and go. He was leadership himself. It’s going to be really interesting to see how he feels about all of this going forward. 

Many a Grey Sloan resident has been fired for violating medical ethics. It almost feels like a rite of passage at this point, but what does Kwan’s path to redemption look like this season?
Marinis: It’s not as easy as some of the past residents. It was important to me that he doesn’t come back in the first episode. He comes back to the hospital, but he’s not back on staff because I wanted to show the reality of Richard being really serious. Blue did something very wrong. He might’ve had the right intention, but he still broke the rules. We’re seeing that fallout play out. He’s going to try and make amends, but he has a long road to go because he has to earn that trust back. 

Where does this screw up rank between medical insurance fraud and cutting an LVAD wire?
Marinis: It is definitely between there. He illegally injected a substance into a patient. For me, it ranks up there with Meredith tampering with the Alzheimer’s trial.

Blue wants to practice medicine, but isn’t allowed. Jo can practice medicine in multiple fields but can’t stand to be at the hospital. Tell me about her journey this season and what she needs to work through. 
Marinis: Her health scare really traumatized her. PTSD after birth trauma affects so many women, and it takes time to process. I wanted to play the reality of that. It’s not something that in a couple of episodes you can fix overnight. We’re going to watch her question her career and through it, how she chooses to parent. She’s definitely a fighter, but it’s going to be personal discovery for her. I also wanted to tell the story that this is a country that does not take care of its postpartum mothers. More attention needs to be paid to supporting them. 

She’s so caught up in her own stuff that she can’t see what’s going on with Link. How is Jo quitting adding more to his plate and preventing him from taking care of himself in a responsible way?
Marinis: He’s endured a lot, too, between the explosion and his shoulder injury, and the stress of her pregnancy with the complications. When you list it all out, it sounds kind of funny, but it only added to his stress load. He really hasn’t been able to come up for air, and as a result, he’s pushing his own health and well-being aside. We’ll see whether or not they can open up to each other truthfully about their different pain, and see if they can help each other heal. 

He’s really leaning on those painkillers to get him through the day. Why was it important to tell that story?
Marinis: It’s a slippery slope when you have a doctor who is dependent on painkillers, especially someone like Link who prides himself on being a strong guy, and obviously an ortho surgeon. Ortho surgery takes a lot of physical labor. He feels like he has to continue being that person for his patients, as well as being this strong, devoted husband and father to Jo and the kids. What’s interesting to me is that it’s so common for doctors to have a substance abuse issue, whether it’s alcohol, pills, or anything. What they see and have to do every day, they have to find ways to cope with that stress. Unfortunately, Link is dealing with it this way. Again, I want to play the reality of what it takes to come back from an injury this severe.

Sleeping with Cass was a very self-destructive move for Amelia. Was it a sign of her slipping back into old habits? What kind of wake-up call was that for her, even though she wins Toni back in the premiere?
Marinis: She is someone who does self-sabotage quite a bit. This is showing how much she’s grown, and how much Toni has made an impression on her. A lot of things that she struggled with in her relationship with Kai, she does not have those problems with Toni. She felt so deeply about Toni that she was hurt when she thought Toni was going back to her ex. That’s why she slept with Cass. It was a pain reflex. It wasn’t necessarily to mess up this relationship. It shows how far she’s come, the self-work that she’s done, and she’s just in love with Toni. 

Jules and Winston were also happy until he decided to accept the Residency Director position from Bailey. What does that do for their plans to publicly admit they are in a relationship?
Marinis: We’ve had couples with power dynamics before on this show. That’s how this show started. But this is 2026. Things are different now. Jules has mentioned out loud that she wants to be a cardiothoracic surgeon. So it’s not only a problem because he is her mentor in her career, but now he’s in a position of direct authority over her, and he never said anything to Bailey. He hasn’t come forward with either Bailey or Richard, so it’s going to be very messy. 

Across town, Simone is finding out she’s pregnant. What is freaking her out more: being a pregnant resident or that she doesn’t 100 percent know who the dad is?
Marinis: It’s also a little bit of shock. She was just told that having children would be very difficult for her. You can’t help but think that there’s another layer to this. Not only was she told that she’s not going to have children, but she also got pregnant. She doesn’t know whose it is, but as a woman and somebody who wanted to have children, it’s going to give her pause about what to do going forward.

Chmerkovskiy’s initial comment came as he was defending his wife, pro Jenna Johnson, after Inaba criticized her for her samba performance with Harry Shum Jr., specifically saying she needs to add more to the choreography. As a result, he wrote on his TikTok story, “You almost saw Fresh Prince enter the ballroom last night.”

That comment was in reference to the moment at the 2022 Oscars when Smith slapped Chris Rock during the show following a joke the comedian made about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. Taylor Lewis (Penny) is a single dad and holiday display expert who relocates to the charming town of Pineway with his two children just weeks before Christmas.  Despite the challenges of a new home, new school and a daughter who seems to be outgrowing their cherished holiday traditions he’s determined to make the season magical.  As Taylor takes charge of the town’s beloved Christmas Market revival, he finds himself unexpectedly partnered with Sophie Shaw (Hutton), a practical accountant hoping to prove she’s ready for a new leadership role.  Together, the unlikely duo brings fresh ideas, festive spirit and plenty of Christmas cheer to the community.  But when Taylor’s well-intentioned efforts to help his teenage daughter backfire, he begins to realize that yuletide can’t be forced, it has to be discovered.  As Taylor and Sophie grow closer, they learn that embracing change may be the key to creating new traditions and new memories.

When does Mr. & Mrs. Christmas premiere?

Mr. & Mrs. Christmas premieres on Sunday, Oct. 18 at 8 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel and can be viewed the next day on Hallmark+.

A Roomy Option for Sharing

The teapot holds two quarts, making it roomy enough to serve several cups at once. Its long spout and top handle make pouring easier, which could be useful for hosting guests, serving an after-dinner drink or simply refilling a favorite mug throughout the day.

At $24.99, it’s an accessible way to add a polished, old-fashioned touch to a kitchen. The teapot measures 9.72 inches high, 10.78 inches wide and 7.92 inches deep, and weighs 2.74 pounds.

A Vintage-Inspired Kitchen Accent

Chili’s is taking a crack at its own Italian fare.

Unlike rival chain Olive Garden where the ‘tour’ doesn’t require you to leave your seat, you will have to flock to one of three “Italian” cities to snag the first bite.

But that’s all part of the fun (err, clever marketing at least).

Chili’s launched the Chicken Parm Big Crispy Oct. 13 in a trio of U.S. cities that sound like you need a passport:

• Florence, Kentucky
• Rome, Georgia
• Venice, Florida

The good news is you don’t have to deal with the State Department or customs, but your tastebuds will be transported to Milan, Rome, or whatever Italian getaway your mind can conjure.

Of course, these aren’t exactly the European destinations their names suggest, but Chili’s renowned hospitality makes up for the lack of seaside bliss and timeless architecture.

The new launch has been so committed to the bit, in fact, Chili’s even lured “Jersey Shore” star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi away from fist-pumping the night away to promote the tasty sandwich in Florence.

The Chicken Parm Big Crispy is the latest addition to the Big Crispy lineup, though this one didn’t make the cut for the fan-favorite 3 For Me deal.

Topped with “fan-favorite Fried Mozz” and marinara, then served with an extra heap of marinara—where no one will judge you whether you decide to dip or spread it—along with white cheddar mac & cheese, fries and house-made ranch, the only thing left to do is try it for yourself Oct. 20 when the sandwich is slated for nationwide release.

Though it’s not on the little ones’ Pepper Pals menu, Chili’s latest entrée might be one of the few foods fun enough to get the kiddos off their screens nowadays, as the mozzarella is so stringy, you might be able to set a Guinness World Record for the longest cheese pull.

Apparently, Chiliheads have an appetite for more. Since the Big Crispy lineup debuted in April, Chili’s claims chicken sandwich orders have jumped 175%.

Pricing for the saucy sammy will vary by location.

And remember, maybe save the white shirt for another night. Labor Day is long gone anyway.
