Roy Harold Mattox, 74 of Bedford, Virginia passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019.

Jeanette I. Moss, age 89, of Sullivan, Mo, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis. 

Betty L. Busse, age 69, of Bourbon, MO, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her family and loyal dog, Dude.

A Broadway Beginnings workshop was held Aug. 9 by Sullivan High School graduate and Tony Award nominee Taylor Louderman. The workshop was held at the SHS Performing Arts Theatre. 

Denny's in Sullivan has joined the Sullivan Area Chamber of Commerce. The restaurant has been open since 2010 at the Flying J Travel Plaza. It is open 24/7.

The fourth annual 5K-DEN on Sept. 9 raised more than 18,000 for three local children.
