The Bourbon Fire Protection District board voted on July 11 to demote Daniel Whatley as the chief.

An Illinois woman was killed in a crash Monday when she lost control of her vehicle on Interstate 44 and was struck by another driver on the North Outer Road in Bourbon.

Bourbon High School is adding a boys and girls basketball tournament along with a girls softball tournament and Activities Director Devon Payne said he is hoping to have a tournament for each sport

Sullivan finished sixth place on Saturday at the Class 4 District 3 track and field meet at Washington High School.

D McReynolds drew a bases-loaded walk in the top of the sixth inning against Washington on Monday to help Sullivan past the Jays 6-5.

Sullivan endured their toughest loss of the season on Tuesday when they were wiped out by Lutheran South, 14-2.

The Lancers scored nine runs during a lengthy second inning.

This February, Missouri 4-H is partnering with Feeding Missouri in a first-of-its-kind statewide food drive.

Mr. James Edward Libhart, age 73, of South Hill, died Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was a  construction manager for M.B.

Baby Charlotte Grace Parker went to Heaven to be in the arms of Jesus, Saturday, June 29, 2019. 

Richard L. “Ricky” Roberts, age 65, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 at his home in Fenton, MO, surrounded by his loving family.

A Broadway Beginnings workshop was held Aug. 9 by Sullivan High School graduate and Tony Award nominee Taylor Louderman. The workshop was held at the SHS Performing Arts Theatre. 

Denny's in Sullivan has joined the Sullivan Area Chamber of Commerce. The restaurant has been open since 2010 at the Flying J Travel Plaza. It is open 24/7.

The fourth annual 5K-DEN on Sept. 9 raised more than 18,000 for three local children.
