Sweet Dog Wore a Tuxedo to His Parents' Wedding – and He Made Himself Comfortable in the Funniest Spot
Mambo may have shown up to his parents’ outdoor wedding in Spain looking dapper in a tuxedo, but it wasn’t long before he became the center of attention. As the couple exchanged vows, the beloved dog quietly settled into his mom’s gown, turning an already sweet moment into one guests will never forget.
The bride, groom, and their loved ones laughed as Mambo seemed totally unbothered by the fact that his chosen spot was also the pristine white train of his mom's dress. As far as Mambo was concerned, it was his wedding, too.
View this post on InstagramViewers of this video also couldn't get enough of Mambo's marriage antics:
"Isn’t that what the train is for?" asked one Mambo defender. "It’s a soft tulle doggy bed."
"The fanciest dog bed I’ve seen LOL," added another fan.
"Dogs really do make everything magical," summed up a third.
Magical, yes, but having canine members in a wedding party can also be a handful. While extremely amusing, Mambo's behavior was also a best-case scenario.

How to Include Your Dog in Your Wedding Without the ChaosAs adorable as it sounds to have your dog play a role in your wedding, experts say it’s important to consider your pet’s personality before making plans. A calm, social dog who enjoys meeting new people is much more likely to thrive in a wedding setting than one who becomes anxious around crowds, loud noises, or unfamiliar environments.
It’s also important to think through the logistics. Before inviting your pup, make sure your venue allows pets and consider factors like weather, especially for breeds that can struggle in the heat. Experts also recommend assigning a dedicated pet handler for the day—someone whose sole job is to make sure your dog is comfortable, exercised, fed, and supervised throughout the event.
Having a backup plan can help, too. Even the most well-behaved dog can become overwhelmed by all the excitement, so it’s wise to plan ahead for unexpected barking, distractions, or an early exit. Some couples even arrange for a pet sitter to take their dog home after the ceremony, allowing them to be part of the big moment without the stress of a long day.
If it turns out your dog isn’t the type to make a live appearance during the ceremony, there are plenty of lower-stress ways to make them part of the celebration. Many couples include their pet in pre-wedding photos, feature them on invitations or place cards, or incorporate them into custom details, such as naming a signature drink after them.
Judging by Mambo’s behavior, though, he handled the attention like a pro—even if he did decide the bride’s dress was the best seat in the house.

Huge Cane Corso Gets Evicted From His Own Bed by a Tiny Kitten
My dogs are similar in size, though my Pug mix is definitely more husky and muscular than his Dachshund sister. Still, despite her feminine frame, my Doxie is definitely the boss in their relationship. She commands a room and has an air of authority that my Puggie respects and doesn't cross.
Diesel is a massively large Cane Corso who seems to have the same compliant spirit regardless of size, where his little kitten brother easily gets his own way.
@lah.dee.dah.deeThese two 😅🥹 @lotti dotti #catsanddogs #bigdoglittlecat #kittenanddog #kittentok #awsocute
♬ Western Music: Arizona Dreaming - Piero PiccioniIn the TikTok from @lah.dee.dah.dee, Diesel sat in front of his dog bed with a look of defeat on his face. Apparently, the Cane Corso cutie wanted to take a nap, but his kitten brother beat him to the punch. Their mom tried to encourage the put-out pooch to stand up for himself.
"Diesel, that is your bed," she confirmed, as Diesel gave her a dejected stare. "That's your bed. You can tell him to move."
Still, Diesel didn't prompt his feline sibling to leave. The crestfallen canine seemed to just give up, like he couldn't be bothered with any sort of debate.
Finally, Diesel gently nudged the feline fur baby in the hopes of the cat going somewhere else, but to no avail. The Cane Corso looked at his mom for backup, almost like he was saying "Mommmm, he's not moving."
The video ended before any resolution was made. Followers commented on the major size differential between the two fur babies and considered Diesel a gentle giant:
- "100 pound dog being owned by a 3 pound kitty," one remarked.
- "The bigger the dog, the softer the heart," another shared.
- "He is saying 'mom please ask him for me — I’m nervous',” a follower commented.
- "He's like, I'm too nice mom I don't wanna hurt his feelings," someone posted.
The Cane Corso, or Italian Mastiff, can be translated from Latin as "guard dog of the courtyard". These dogs weigh well over 100 pounds and can stand 28 inches tall at the shoulders when they reach adulthood.

A muscular working breed, the Cane Corso is very intelligent, eager to please and extremely loyal to their loved ones. This breed comes in several coat colors including black, black brindle, chestnut brindle, fawn, gray, gray brindle and red.
And as Diesel beautifully illustrates, the Cane Corso has a very sweet and loving heart.

Orange Cat Spent 10 Years Waiting for a Home—His Freedom Ride Will Move You
Get ready to cry at this extremely emotional video about senior cat adoption, 10 years in the making.
In a new viral and heart-wrenching video, we meet a senior Orange Cat named Martin, who had been waiting to be adopted for 10 years.
When he had finally been chosen and was on his freedom ride to his forever home, the emotions ran high. As it turns out, this poor kitty had suffered from many health issues, and viewers everywhere are being moved by this sweet senior cat's beautiful journey.
@thelittlepawsissHe gently placed his little paw on my shoulder, as if he was asking, „Where are we going?“ 🥹 We found Martin in a small village where everyone knew each other. We were visiting family there for Orthodox Easter when we came across him. People in the village told us about his story. After a separation and divorce, his previous owners had left him behind more than ten years ago. Since then, Martin had been wandering through the village without a home for an entire decade. Thankfully, one kind woman fed him from time to time and put a collar around his neck for safety although it was actually very dangerous because it had no safety release and he could have strangled himself with it anywhere. After hearing about his situation, we didn’t hesitate for long. We picked him up and took him straight to the vet. There, we found out that he wasn’t chipped. After so many years without proper care, his teeth had to be completely cleaned, and he suffered from several chronic illnesses (Kidney failure, severe arthritis, and fractured bones in his back and a vertebra that should have been operated on). He had cataracts and was severely dehydrated… Even the vet told us that most people would never take in a cat that old and sick. But we already knew we were going to do it anyway. We cared for Martin for two years, until he became a completely different cat from the one we had first found. In the beginning, he was apathetic, distant, and didn’t even know how to play or cuddle anymore. Those were things he had to learn again over time. Taking him in was one of the best decisions of our lives. Had we not taken him in, he most likely would have passed away from kidney failure all alone in that village, with nobody by his side #rescue #rescueanimals #martin #orangecats
♬ Sand Drawing - Judah EarlIf you managed not to cry when you saw that little foot on his new parent's shoulder, you are very strong!
The comments on this video about this senior cat adoption were almost as emotional as the actual video!
"Omg… And he looks like he feels safe and is seeing the world for the first time," one person wrote.
"Thank you for saving him," another wrote.
"I’m crying. Thank you for saving that sweet boy. I wish you and Martin a wonderful life filled with love," another person said.

How To Help a Senior Cat Adjust to a New HomeBringing a senior cat home, like Martin, can be extremely rewarding but also challenging.
Senior cat adoption is very rare. According to 11pets.com, only 8% of senior or elderly cats (7 years or older) are adopted per year.
The number of senior dogs adopted is closer to 14%, so it's tough out there for senior kitties.
In the video caption, it says that Martin had a number of health problems, including kidney failure, arthritis, fractured bones in his back, cataracts, and dehydration.
Most people wouldn't take in a kitty that sick, but Martin's new forever family was different.
If you're thinking of adopting a senior cat, there are a few important things to keep in mind.
Unlike kittens, senior cats already have established routines, so coming into a new environment can be overwhelming for them.
They can act out or hide and be very shy before finding their footing.
What helps them feel safe is providing a comfortable space, establishing a consistent feeding schedule, and just giving them love and affection regularly.
It sounds like Martin had a bit of an adjustment period, as he had forgotten what it was like to have a caring family, but once he felt secure and had a place in his new home, he thrived.

7 Funny (and Adorable) Realities of Having a French Bulldog, Vets Say
There are so many dog breeds out there to love, but there’s one in particular that’s captured the hearts of Americans and held onto it tight for four years in a row: the French Bulldog. If you've always dreamed of having one, you're probably curious what it’s like having one. To give you an insight on what it's like living with a Frenchie, we rounded up 7 funny and adorable realities of having a French Bulldog, according to vets.
After all, a French Bulldog's personality is unlike any other pup's. Combine that with this petite pooch's sweet, squashed-in face and big eyes and it's easy to see why this small dog breed is hard to resist. In fact, they are so popular that they even recently displaced the Labrador Retriever as America’s favorite breed, despite three decades of being the top dog.
There’s so much to love about these cute dogs, but they do have some silly and cute quirks that you may not be aware of. So, if you’re considering getting a French Bulldog, it’s worth being well informed about what being their pet parent can actually involve. Here’s what vets want you to know before getting one.
7 Funny and Adorable French Bulldog Traits French Bulldogs are full of silly, expressive moments like this.French Bulldogs are full of personality, and it shows in the little things they do every day. From their silly habits to their affectionate nature, these French Bulldog traits are what make the breed so funny and lovable.
They Were Bred to Be Furry BestiesOf all the cute qualities French Bulldogs have, the fact that they fully commit to the role of your best friend whether you’re ready for it or not, is the the sweetest. These devoted dogs don’t just enjoy being around you, they genuinely want to be part of your everyday life.
“French Bulldogs see themselves as your best buddy,” says Chyrle Bonk, DVM, a veterinarian at Embrace Pet Insurance.
That deep, easy companionship didn’t happen by accident, though. “Frenchies were originally bred in the 1800s to be companion animals for lace workers in England and later became popular society pets in France,” says Garrett Schuilenberg, DVM, managing veterinarian at Small Door Vet. “Because they were engineered purely to be lapdogs and household companions rather than working or hunting dogs, their entire focus is interacting with humans."
And that’s exactly why life with a French Bulldog feels less like having a pet and more like having a tiny, opinionated best friend who always wants to be part of everything you do.
They Snore…LoudlyOne of the most surprisingly hilarious things about French Bulldogs is just how loudly they can sleep, especially for such a small dog.
Their compact airways and flat faces give them that signature snorting, snuffling, and snoring soundtrack that many owners come to find oddly comforting, even if it sounds like a tiny freight train at night.
Because of their brachycephalic (flat-faced) structure, French Bulldogs are more prone to noisy breathing and snoring, according to veterinarians. While it’s often normal for the breed, it can become more noticeable during sleep or after exercise.
Still, many pet parents say it’s just part of the charm, which is proof they’re getting a good, deep rest nearby.
They Think They’re Bigger Than They AreAnother funny personality trait of Frenchies? Despite their small size, these pups often carry themselves with a surprisingly bold, confident attitude. So even though French Bulldogs are smart enough to understand what’s being asked of them, they like to be stubborn and decide whether something is worth participating in. In other words, if your Frenchie decides now is not the time to sit, come, or move off the couch, it’s not confusion—it’s negotiation.
“Their intelligence makes them capable of learning and excelling at obedience and other training, but without proper motivation, they can be very independent and selective,” Bonk explains.
You Have to Clean Their WrinklesJust like people have a skincare routine and wash their face, a Frenchie's skin also needs to be pampered, which most new French Bulldog pet parents don't know.
"While their adorable, soft folds and wrinkles may give them their unmistakable expression, they can also trap moisture, creating the perfect environment for bacteria and fungi to grow," Bonk explains. "This can make their skin red, hot, and itchy."
So while it may seem silly, if you're a pet parent of a Frenchie it's your job to keep their wrinkles looking nice. “Frenchies frequently need their wrinkles cleaned,” advises Noe Galvan, DVM, lead emergency veterinarian.
They Follow You EverywhereDon’t be surprised if you suddenly have a new pal in the bathroom. French Bulldogs are famous for being little shadow dogs, always finding a way to be wherever their favorite human happens to be. “They want to be with their people and enjoy short play sessions as well as lounging on the couch.”
Schuilenberg calls French bulldogs the ultimate velcro dogs. "They have an innate biological drive to be close to their human pack,” he says. “While this makes them incredibly affectionate, it also means they are highly prone to separation anxiety if they aren't taught how to be alone from an early age. To a Frenchie, your personal space is their personal space.”
They Tend to Be GassyOne of the more funny (and slightly embarrassing) French Bulldog traits is that they’re not exactly subtle about passing gas. To be fair, bulldogs in general have a reputation for being little “gas factories,” and Frenchies are no exception. “Empirically speaking, they are gassy little creatures,” Galvan shares. “But they may just be less shy about letting off some gas than other breeds.”
Part of this comes down to their easygoing, relaxed personalities, but anatomy plays a role too. Schuilenberg explains that their flat-faced structure means French Bulldogs tend to swallow extra air while eating, drinking, or even getting excited. “All that trapped air has to go somewhere, resulting in a notorious amount of flatulence,” he says.
And while it might not be their most glamorous trait, most Frenchie owners will tell you it just comes with the territory of living with such a funny, lovable little companion.
They Are GoofballsOne of the most lovable French Bulldog traits is just how unapologetically silly they are. If you’re looking for a fun-loving pet, a Frenchie’s goofy personality won’t disappoint.
“These dogs are incredibly expressive, dramatic, and goofy,” says Schuilenberg. “As a result, French Bulldogs know exactly how to use their vocalizations and facial expressions to keep your attention.”
A French Bulldog's personality often turns everyday moments into comedy, with many pet parents describing them as little clowns packed into a compact body. “They are the comedic relief of any household,” adds Galvan.
And honestly, that sense of humor is a big part of what makes living with a French Bulldog so endlessly entertaining.

After a 7-Year Break, This California Zoo Has Welcomed a Rare New Resident
It’s always exciting to catch a new animal on exhibit at your local zoo. It’s even more special when it’s a newborn, as you get a chance to watch early behaviors up close and gain a better understanding of how they interact with the world from a young age.
Visitors at the Los Angeles Zoo have a lot to be excited about this week with the birth of a rare new resident, the first of its kind born there in seven years. Spending most of his days right now behind the scenes, the new baby Grevy’s zebra is bonding closely with his mother and getting comfortable with his new surroundings.

A Rare Grevy’s Zebra Foal Is Born at the L.A. Zoo Female Grevy's zebra with her male foalCarl Myers / courtesy of L.A. Zoo
Marking the first time since 2019 that the L.A. Zoo has welcomed a Grevy’s zebra, the new foal represents a meaningful milestone for the zoo's animal care team. And while the young zebra is still getting acclimated to the world around him, guests have already been able to catch brief glimpses of him as he learns to explore.
“This is an exciting birth for the Zoo and for the entire animal care team,” said Dominick Dorsa II, Director of Animal Care at L.A. Zoo. “It’s been quite some time since we’ve had a Grevy’s zebra foal at the Zoo, and now guests will be able to see the behaviors of a juvenile zebra that they may have not experienced before.”

What Makes Grevy’s Zebras So UniqueTrue to his roots, this handsome new foal features a stripe pattern that is as unique as your own fingerprint. Native to the semi-arid grasslands of southern Ethiopia and northern Kenya, Grevy’s zebras are the largest of the three zebra species, which include the Grevy’s zebra (Equus grevyi), the common zebra (Equus burchelli) and the mountain zebra (Equus zebra).
On average, adult males stand about 5 feet tall at the shoulders and can weigh up to a whopping 1,000 pounds. Females, on the other hand, are about 10 percent smaller than males, though still nothing to mess with. And while their life expectancy in the wild is usually around 12 to 13 years, Grevy’s zebras can live up to 30 years in zoo settings.
Why This Birth MattersThe new Grevy’s arrival doesn’t just mark a special moment for the L.A. Zoo, it also presents an opportunity to raise awareness of the species’ population decline. Grevy’s are classified as Endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and fewer than 2,000 remain in the wild today. Over the last 40 years, populations have declined by 54 percent due to things like habitat loss, unregulated hunting, diseases and predation.
“This birth not only helps support the Grevy’s zebra’s population in North America, but it will undoubtedly help educate guests about this important animal,” said Dorothy Belanger, Curator of Mammals at L.A. Zoo. “Guests visiting the Zoo will have the unique opportunity to observe this young animal and build a connection with the species. We’re thrilled for this new zebra and how it will help shape the minds of our guests and hopefully inspire them to be a part of the conservation of wildlife and nature.”
If you’re looking to get a peek at the newest L.A. Zoo resident, the little guy is expected to be regularly on exhibit beginning sometime next week, weather permitting. Gather the family, make a day of it and see up close what makes this beautiful species so special.

This Adorable Black Cat's Adoption Story Is Too Cute to Miss
In the world of animal shelters, there is no such thing as "I am just going to look around." One man made the mistake of taking a casual look at one shelter's website when a black cat caught his attention.
Then he made another "mistake." He drove to the shelter to meet her. Somehow, she was cuter in person, and now he is having the biggest debate of his life.

The Cat Was Not the ProblemFor this cat lover, the challenge was everything else. As he explained in a Reddit post on r/blackctas, he is not in the most stable financial situation. There is the chance of moving within the next year. On top of that, he has a 5-year-old cat at home.
Simple logic said to leave the cat, but the emotional side was too big to ignore. He has already fallen in love. He said, "It's really head vs heart here."
There Are No Mistakes, Just Happy IncidentsRedditors fell in love with the black cat as well. One person responded with a quote many recognize: "There are no mistakes, just happy little accidents," coined by the legendary Bob Ross.
Another added, "It's just a cat. It's just a black cat. And here's all of us losing our minds over little miss cutie pie!"
Related: 'Shut-Down' Black Cat Spent 899 Days in Shelter — Then One Moment Changed Everything
The Journey AheadThe man explained that adopting the cat was just the first step. Now comes the hard part. His cat at home and his new rescue need to learn to be friends. He also needs to solve his financial situation.
For the second challenge, one commenter offered a bright perspective, saying, "I think as long as you can provide the care and love she needs, you should do it. Voids are the best."
The first part will be a challenge as well. Both his adopted and first cat are 5 years old. They both don't like other cats, but in a passive way. OP doesn't believe there will be fighting, and eventually, they will find a way to live together.
After all, he drove to the shelter the same day he saw her photo and carried her around on his arm. The list of reasons not to adopt never really stood a chance.

Sweet Blind Pup Has the Best Reaction to 'Seeing' Beach Waves for the First Time
Anyone with a disabled fur baby can attest, they are just as full of life and new discoveries as their typically abled counterparts.
Take sweet baby Gus, an absolutely adorable blind dog whose mom shares his adventures with his brother, Gilligan, on TikTok. While exploring the beach in the Pacific Northwest, Gus got to "see" waves for the first time, and his reaction and joy is palpable and not to be missed.
@gilligan.and.gusSweet baby Gus 💙 #dog #blinddog #beach #outdoors #pnw
♬ original sound - bitterexwifechroniclesMany TikTok users pointed out the serenity and wonder of the moment between sweet baby Gus and the waves at the beach:
- "Nature saw a beautiful soul and ran to touch it."
- "Those waves or the perfect height for his size and confidence level. They were present enough for him to experience and interact with them, but not so large/strong that they overwhelmed him. he's so happy and silly"
- "Mother Earth playing with the baby"
Working with a blind dog requires patience, structure, and a little creativity. Surprisingly, it's often very similar to training their sighted counterparts, just relying a bit more on sound, smell and touch rather than visual indicators. It's also important to make sure your pup is in a stable, consistent environment and to always use positive reinforcement.
Some other tips to consider when working with a dog who is blind:
- Avoid rearranging furniture or putting them in a totally new environment when trying to work on other skills.
- Textures can be great aids for letting them know where they are in a space.
- "Luring" with treats can help them learn new body positions like "sit" and "down."
- Clear, direct sounds are key when training since your dog cannot see you.
- Always remember that you are their eyes!
With proper training and lots of love, blind dogs can live just as full lives as their sighted friends. And even if they can't see it, as evidenced by sweet Gus, they can still very much appreciate the world around them.

The initial meet-and-greet went well, but Diesel's mom wasn't surprised one bit. Known to fans as a real sweetheart, the adorable Cane Corso seems like he was made to be a big brother to the energetic, carefree bundle of cute kitten chaos!

As with many other big breeds, never judge a dog (book) by their cover. Diesel is nothing but pure mush when it comes to his kitten brother. Though there's no official post celebrating when Nimbus first joined the family, he's much bigger now and still just as wild and free.

Grumpy Orange Cat’s Ongoing Battle With the New Cat Flap Is Comedy Gold
Being a cat parent, you become aware very quickly that these animals run on their own rules, and they're pretty independent. They don't mind playing on their own, they'll come for cuddles when they want them, and they'll ignore you when they don't. They also don't need an escort to get some fresh air outside. Actually, they're happy to use a cat flap, so they don't even need a human to open the door for them.
In this video, we learn that there is a learning curve to using that cat flap for some kitties, and watching a grumpy Orange Cat try to figure it out is actually hilarious.
@magnus_the_orangeAny tips? 😅 #cat #orangecat #cats
♬ Welp, Didn't Expect That - Yu-Peng Chen & HOYO-MiXTikToker @mangus_the_orange shared a video of the charming Orange Cat, Mangus, who was having a funny moment with the cat flap on the door of his house. He has the funniest, grumpiest look on his face as the round-cheeked kitty pokes his head out the door flap, looking outside. His ears being held down by the door flap makes this even funnier because it makes him look so mad and annoyed.
Mangus doesn't even try to get out of the door; instead, he gives a grumpy look directly into the camera, then pops his head back in the door, seemingly giving up on trying to let himself out into the world. With his cheeks, Mangus looks like he could be a chubby Orange Cat, so maybe he was worried that he wouldn't fit, or he just wasn't interested in going outside to touch the grass.
In the comments, people had a lot to share about grumpy Mangus and his battle with the new cat flap.
One person wrote, "That is a porthole, and he is using it correctly."
Another shared, "Why use the cat flap when you have a door opener, i.e., you?"
Someone else added, "Yeah, use treats, some snacks, and hold the flip open with one hand."
Other comments included, "It looks a bit small for him," "You're going to need a bigger cat flap," "It's a viewing portal," "Too small for him," "He wants a bigger opening," "Thanks for the window," and "He will learn when he sees a pigeon outside."

How Cats Learn To Use Cat Flaps and Why Some Take Longer To Adjust Than OthersIt's really funny to watch this silly Orange Cat struggle with the door, but we have to give him some understanding, since there is a learning curve to using it.
According to PetPlanUK, some kitties take to the cat door and understand how to use it very quickly, while others take a little longer and might need extra incentive to try it out and start using it.
The site explains that installing a cat flap is a great way to give your feline access to both indoor and outdoor spaces. That door can be especially cool if the plan is to put it as an entrance into a catio. But whatever the use, getting your pet to use the door is the first goal, which starts with introduction, keeping the door open at first, using rewards, and taking it slowly.
If your cat is being extra reluctant, PetPlan UK explains that you can try feeding meals near or under the flap to encourage your kitty to see that space as a happy zone. You can also use familiar scents on the flap to help them feel safe, since cats use their sense of smell so much. Do your best to keep the routines predictable while you're training.

Certain Dachshund moments feel like a rite of passage, and watching one get trapped inside clothing is absolutely first on the list.
In the video, Kai, the Doxie, is fully stuck in the sleeve, and the situation is both very serious and deeply unserious. His mom explains in the post caption that he was only trying to snuggle her clothes, which is honestly the most Dachshund thing possible. He wasn't looking for trouble. He was seeking comfort, warmth, and maybe a little emotional support laundry.
@lifeofkai6he was just trying to snuggle my clothes😭😭😭 #dachshundsoftiktok #weeniedog #funnydachshund #dachshundlife #pigsinablanket
♬ original sound - NoahUnfortunately, Dachshund anatomy had other plans.
Kai's long, little body has somehow committed to the sleeve experience, and now the dog is wedged in like a very confused sausage in a fabric casing. You can see why one viewer basically took one look at the pup and declared that this was true sausage dog behavior. No notes. The nickname has never been more accurate.
The best part is Mom trying to help while also completely losing it. She's laughing, apologizing for laughing, and still doing her best to gently push Kai out of this accidental clothing tunnel. It's that very specific pet parent moment where you know you need to be useful, but your animal has done something so ridiculous that your nervous system simply chooses laughter first.
And really, who could blame her?
Kai looks like he entered the sleeve with confidence and then immediately regretted every decision that led him there. One minute thinking, "This smells like my person and looks cozy." The next was a tube dog with no clear exit strategy.
That's why Dachshunds are comedy gold. They're brave, dramatic, stubborn, snuggly, and built like they were designed by someone who wanted maximum personality in minimum clearance. They'll burrow into blankets, laundry piles, sleeves, couch cushions, and anything else that feels like a den. Then they'll act personally surprised when the den becomes a trap.
Still, the whole thing is incredibly precious. Kai wasn't being naughty. The sausage just wanted to be close to his mom's scent, and if that meant crawling into a sleeve like a tiny emotional support noodle, so be it.
Luckily, Mom was there to rescue him from his wardrobe crisis, even if she had to laugh through the mission. Kai may have lost the battle with the sleeve, but he definitely won the internet.
Every Dachshund parent knows this won't be the last time.
Why Dachshunds Love Burrowing Into ClothesIf your sausage loves crawling into blankets, laundry, or clothing, you're not alone. Many Doxies love tight, cozy spaces because they were originally bred to dig and go into dens. You can make that habit safer by offering soft blankets, supervised snuggle spots, and clothes-free zones when sleeves, strings, or tight openings could become a problem.
The American Kennel Club notes that Dachshunds were bred to hunt badgers, which helps explain their bold personality and natural love of burrowing. That instinct can be adorable, but it's still worth checking that your pup can always back out safely.
Kai's sleeve adventure is a perfect reminder that Dachshunds don't just find comfort. They commit to it with their whole long bodies.

Golden Retriever Puppy Thinks Printer Is a 'New Fetch Machine' and It's Hilarious
Puppies frequently get themselves into trouble, thanks to their insatiable curiosity and penchant for mischief. These fluffy fur babies consider everything a toy to be played with and freely explore areas that are supposed to be off-limits. Their antics can be a bit destructive yet hilarious.
Sally the Golden Retriever puppy recently discovered some office equipment and quickly made up her own little game.
@sally_thegoldenpupI discovered a new toy. And it is a 10/10 🖨️🐾😍 #goldenretrieverpuppy #goldenretriever #goldenretrieverlife #puppytiktok #dogsoftiktok
♬ original sound - SallyIn the TikTok from @sally_thegoldenpup, the precious puppy stared at her mom's printer, completely enraptured as paper magically appeared from the machine. Every time the printer produced a sheet, Sally grabbed the paper with her teeth and turned into a puppy paper shredder.
"I discovered a new toy. And it is a 10/10," the caption read.
Sally's mom reprimanded the canine cutie, but the pup was too excited over this fascinating item to listen. The camera panned over to show a pile of ripped-apart papers, making it clear that Sally had been having some fun for quite a while.
The gorgeous Golden was practically glued to the printer as she anxiously waited for another piece of paper to appear. Despite her mom's admonishments, Sally was too captivated to budge. The scene became a race of who could get to the printed paper first.
Followers got a kick out of the comical scene and chalked it up to puppy chaos:
- "It's a new fetch machine mom," one pointed out.
- "I'm just trying to help mom! This thing looks dangerous and it's noisy... I help, I protect you! So cute!" another posted.
- "Like a professional," a follower noted.
- "I hope those papers weren’t important!" someone remarked.
While a loud and active printer will certainly capture a puppy's attention, it's far from ideal as a toy. There are plenty of toy options to consider as fun items for your fur baby.
Teething rings made of durable nylon provide your pup with plenty of chew time and can be soothing for their gums. Baby Kongs offer a spot to hide a treat and are also excellent chewing toys.
Rope toys are great for getting between your puppy’s teeth and massaging their gums. They are also ideal for playing a mini tug-of-war game with your pup.
Other items include non-toxic, durable balls and dental bones. Choose toys carefully to make sure there is no chance of choking hazards.
Sally seems very creative and can probably turn almost anything into a fun toy, though hopefully she'll stick to those made specifically for puppies.

I Tried Amazon's Premium Wild Bird Food, And My Yard Became a Bird Hotspot
Parade Pets aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
If you're looking for a premium wild bird food that will attract new species to your yard, then you really need to give two specific flavors of suet a try: berry and peanut. The C&S Suet Variety Value Pack has both flavors for only $40 for a 24-pack on Amazon. That's less than $2 per suet block. And in my opinion, the price is more than worthwhile based on the results you'll see.
For the past year, I've been trying to get the wild birds in my backyard interested in suet, and it finally worked. But only because of these particular flavors! They're going wild for the Berry Treat and Peanut Delight suet cakes. All of a sudden, I'm seeing species I've never seen before, like woodpeckers and starlings. But I'm also seeing more of the beautiful old faithfuls too, like blue jays, goldfinches, titmice, and cardinals.
What's also great about the C&S brand of suet cakes is that they absolutely do not melt in the summer heat, just as advertised. I'm in Texas, where it's already getting into the 90s on some days. And these suet blocks have held up perfectly.

Shop it!On Amazon, these suet blocks have a high rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars overall, with more than 3,700 reviews. Buyers agree with me that this is an economical and fun buffet for fruit and nut-eating birds.
"The birds absolutely love this suet! It attracts a wide variety and keeps them coming back all day," writes one buyer who had the same experience as me.
"These are great suet cakes - my birds go crazy for them! Also great price," writes another reviewer.
"I recently purchased the C&S Peanut Delight No Melt Suet Dough, and it has quickly become a favorite among the backyard birds," says a third buyer.
In one pack, you'll get 12 blocks of C&S Peanut Delight and 12 blocks of C&S Berry. The blocks are formulated to have a higher melting point of at least 100 degrees Fahrenheit. So you will likely only need to change them out early on the very hottest days of the summer.

Adorably Sensitive German Shepherd's Response to New Puppy Is Peak Only-Child Energy
For eight full years, Molly had one job. Stay close to her favorite person, be his shadow dog, and watch his every move.
Then, her dad went out and got a young German shepherd mix puppy. Now, Molly, his senior German shepherd, refuses to make eye contact, will not come when called, and looks like she has filed a silent formal complaint.

Her dad was surprised by the new relationship; he went on r/germanshepherds to seek advice. He wrote, "Honestly, my feelings are hurt. I am worried I ruined our relationship."
The good news is he hasn't. The bad news is he will have to work on it.
The Relationship is Not BrokenOther pet parents responded to his honest confession. They encouraged him to work on his relationship with Molly.
One commenter went through the same experience and said, "I experienced the same with our 5-year-old in the back when we brought this new rascal home. I had to specifically give special attention to my 5 year old and she perked up again. It's one big happy family now."
Another chipped in, saying, "Puppy disrupts the whole household routine. GSDs can be pretty sensitive to routine disruptions."
Related: Rescue German Shepherd's Remarkable Transformation Proves the '3-3-3' Rule Really Works
Why Senior Dogs Go Cold After a New PuppyVelcro dogs like German shepherds build their world around one person and their routine. They were bred to be companion animals.
Puppies disrupt that routine. Right now, Molly is not rejecting her owner. She is under stress. She needs areas the puppy cannot reach.
How to Help Your First Baby Feel Secure AgainMany pet parents gave the same answer: more one-on-one attention with the senior dog. One commenter was specific, saying, "Not just attention but do things with her. You need to show her you need her."
That means dedicated time with your senior dog. Not quick pats between puppy interactions, no attention when the puppy is nearby. Make intentional one-on-one time a priority.
Familiar activities remind dogs that their place in the family hasn't changed.
Dogs Need ReassuranceIt is impossible to know what Molly is thinking. But parents with sensitive dogs know the feeling. One day your dog is your constant companion. Then there is a bouncy puppy getting plenty of attention and treats.
All dogs need is reassurance that you still love them. One commenter said, "She just loves you. She thinks maybe being your shadow is the puppy's job now."

Man's Daily Homecoming Has a Secret Admirer, and It's Not Who You'd Expect
There are friendly neighborhood dogs, but some take their job even more seriously. As one man posted on Reddit, his neighbor's dog has been waiting for him every day for six months.
The dog, which, by the pictures, looks like a Jack Russell terrier, does not wait at the door or on the porch. He waits through a hole in the shared wall, pushing his snout through and greeting him every time he comes back from work.

The dog has had his full attention from the start. He boops his snoot every time he comes. And sometimes, he gives him treats, or as he says, "bones."
My neighbor's dog has been peeping through a hole in our wall for about six months now, greeting me everyone I come back home.by u/OpportunityEasy5516 in aww Tiny Ritual People Cannot Stop Smiling About
As one commenter on the Reddit post said, "I love when the neighbor dogs learn my work schedule. They greet me in the AM and PM."
For some people, this tiny ritual might not mean a lot. But for this guy, who doesn't own a dog himself, that ritual is everything.
And the people in the thread cannot get enough of it. Neighborhood dogs are the best. One day, they notice you, and the next one, they wag their tail. Before you know it, they track your schedule better than your family.
This is another example of how dogs recognize routines and learn patterns. Whether that is feeding time, walks, or the favorite neighbor coming back from work, dogs notice.

The Internet Decided the Dog's IntentionsOne commenter said, "He loves you," to which the original poster replied, "I hope he does. Sometimes it just feels like he's there for the bones."
Others had more dramatic solutions for this relationship. One joked, "6 months now and you still haven't torn down the wall?!"
At the end of the day, this is a great relationship that exists through a tiny window into another dog's world.
Why Do We Love Stories Like TheseMany pet parents and pet lovers experience similar relationships with dogs. Sometimes, it is the dog down the street by the fence during your walks. Or the golden retriever who wants to say hello to everyone they meet. Or the senior dog who watches from the porch and probably knows everyone who passes by.
Those might be small relationships, but for some people, they become part of daily life. This dog might have another parent, but he has claimed partial ownership of his favorite neighbor as well.
Whether he is there for the friendship or the bones, he keeps showing up and improving one man's daily life.

Dachshund 'Chews Out Mom' for Leaving Him at Doggie Boarding—and the Sass Is Real
Dachshunds are tiny dogs, but that doesn't mean they can't pack a huge personality into those little bodies. Plenty of pups who belong to this breed are born with a lot of opinions, along with the need to share those opinions with anyone who will listen, animal or human.
And in the case of Moose the Dachshund, those opinions all revolve around going to doggie boarding — basically, that he really, really isn't into the idea of being left behind. Poor Moose!
@whimsiweensMoose is a spicy ween #dachshundsoftiktok #dogsoftiktok #dogs #dogmom
♬ original sound - WhimsWeensMoose's mom shared a video of her two Dachshunds sitting in their car seats after leaving doggie boarding, and let's just say Moose really isn't happy about the way things have played out here.
His brother, Archie, is trying so hard to mind his own business, but Moose just can't quiet down. He's barking at his mom to let her know that, in the future, wherever she's going, she needs to take them with her. Forget about this boarding thing!
Even when their mom says their names, Moose still refuses to dignify her with a response. She might be on the receiving end of a lot of attitude from him for the foreseeable future.

How to Choose the Right Doggie Boarding FacilityBoarding your dog can be really stressful. Even if you just need to find the right place for them to stay while you're off on a fun vacation, nothing is going to stop a pet parent from worrying about their dog's welfare while they're gone. How can we possibly have fun if they're miserable?
Fortunately, you do have control over where you board your dog, so doing research ahead of time is key.
As Fayetteville Veterinary points out, there are a few factors to consider when choosing a doggie boarding facility:
- The cleanliness of the facility
- The space and privacy they are able to offer your dog
- Daily exercise time and routines
- Safety protocols that are already put in place
- How experienced the staff are (especially when it comes to your dog's particular needs)
- Vaccination requirements for dogs who board there
You can never be too careful when it comes to ensuring your dog will be safe, happy, and well cared for when you're not around, so remember that the right facility will be open and honest in answering all your questions before you book. If they seem like they're dodging questions, look at that as a red flag for sure.
With any luck at all, your dog will have a blast while you're gone and be happy to see you when you get back. There's nothing better than that reunion!

Senior Pug Is the Sneakiest Thief—And We Support Her Crimes
If you're lucky enough to get to the twilight years with your pet, you're in for a real treat. New quirks come out, new habits, and sometimes, they even find new ways to commit crimes.
Take Wilma, for example. Wilma is a senior Pug whose human shares her antics and day to days via TikTok at @wilmatheseniorpug. Recently, her person took to social media to share their latest experiment: Pretending to fall asleep in front of Wilma while holding a cube of cheese.
The results, of course, are hilarious.

♬ original sound - user8276237552639Wilma does her best to secure the goods, but her floppy tongue and the cheddar's angle just don't do her justice in the end. The cheese ends up falling into the blankets and Wilma's hard work is for nothing.
Commenters got a huge kick out of the viral video saying:
"me trying to eat after a dentist appointment when my mouth is still numb"
"She was about as stealthy as a marching band."
"I’m pretty sure that if you give it to her directly, she’ll still miss it 😂"
Rest assured, Wilma did get her cheese in the end, her owner confirmed via the caption on the hysterical video.
Best Snacks for Senior Pets Photo by Benjamin Wong on UnsplashPhoto by Benjamin Wong on Unsplash
As your pup crosses from typical adulthood into their senior years, it's more important than ever to pay attention to their bodies and their diets. Diets for our older animals may require things like controlled calories to prevent weight gain, more easily digestible proteins to account for muscle mass, and added supplements like glucosamine and Omega-3s for joint and brain health.
Because of these factors, it's important to also be mindful of treats and snacks for your senior pet. Some good options might be:
- Treats specifically designed for joint health and brain health
- Soft chews that are easier on aging teeth and jaws
- Freeze dried raw treats that are packed with protein
- Blueberries that are rich in antioxidants
- Veggies like carrots that are high in fiber but low in calories
- Pumpkin which is great for gut health
However as with all things related to our fur babies, it's always best to consult with a veterinarian about any changes regarding your pet's lifestyle.

Polydactyl Maine Coon Kitten's Enormous Paws Look Just Like Hobbit Feet
No matter how tiny a kitten may be as a baby, it can be easy to predict just how big they'll grow to be as an adult cat just by looking at the size of their paws. And for the Maine Coon in this TikTok video, that means she's going to grow up to be one huge cat.
Meet Helga, the kitten whose giant paws are more like Hobbit feet:
@izskazki3Helga ✅🌹 Полидакт 6/6/6/6 Хельга в поисках семьи ❤️ К переезду будет готова в конце июля . Мы находимся на юге Франции 🌴 Буду рада передать вам эту красоту лично в руки.А так же ее может привести к вам домой наш водитель 🚘 🌍 #izskazki #веномята #mainecoonkitten #mainecoon #mainecoonfrance
♬ original sound - love1980songsOn June 14, @izskazki3 shared this video of their kitten, Helga, who is absolutely gorgeous — there are few cats out there who are more stunning than a Black Smoke Maine Coon like she is.
As Helga makes her way toward the camera to the tune of "Ice Ice Baby", we can see her gigantic paws in action. They seem pretty mismatched with her tiny body, but there's no doubt she will stay tiny for long. After all, Maine Coons are the biggest domestic breed of cats.
Still, people simply cannot get over these paws, as evidenced by the comments on the video.
"The feets are too much! I was not prepared!" one person wrote.
Another viewer commented, "I bet that baby would be a great swimmer with those flippers." (They might not actually be too far off with this prediction; many Maine Coons are known for loving the water, which is unusual for most cat breeds.)
I hope Helga's humans share more footage of her when she's fully grown, because I'm dying to know just how big she'll get!

Why Some Cats Are Born With Extra ToesIt seems like polydactyly wouldn't be all that common, but for cats, it's actually not that rare, and according to PetMD, it's even more common in Maine Coon cats, who are more likely to have extra toes.
But how does it happen? It all comes down to genetics, like all traits.
“When a polydactyl cat breeds with a non-polydactyl cat, the offspring have a 50% chance of inheriting the polydactyl gene,” veterinarian Alejandro R. Caos told PetMD. “If both parent cats are polydactyl, the likelihood of their offspring being polydactyl increases.”
For cats, being polydactyl usually means having just a couple of extra toe beans beyond the 18 that all kitties are born with. Some cats will end up having more than one or two extra toes, though, and that is actually considered rare.
The good news is that being polydactyl is basically just a fun fact of life for your cat. Those extra toes shouldn't impact their health or their mobility one bit, so don't worry if your cat happens to have Hobbit feet like Helga. It's no big deal!
