'Scream' Star Reveals Which Death Was a Mistake, and Fans Agree

Thu, 02/26/2026 - 1:14pm

Killing off a beloved character is always risky, even in a horror franchise like Scream, where more cast members will die than survive throughout the now seven-film run.

No one knows that better than Neve Campbell, who has famously portrayed Sidney Prescott in six of those films—and now she is weighing in on which Scream death was a mistake (and which one is a very close second).

Campbell has been making the rounds lately, promoting the upcoming Scream 7, and recently shared her top tips for surviving a horror movie. Now, she's opening up about a character death that she wishes hadn't happened.

It all went down during a nostalgic set tour with Capital Radio, where she showed off Casey Becker's (Drew Barrymore) kitchen that famously caught fire after her stove popcorn sat too long while she tried, and failed, to outrun Ghostface and became his first on-screen victim.

Campbell also shared Stu Macher's (Matthew Lillard) living room, where Sidney supposedly killed him at the end of the first film. But with Lillard returning for Scream 7, we'll find out soon what really happened.

While in Stu's house, she turned to a bookcase that contained a photo of Dewey Riley (David Arquette), who died in Scream (2022) at the Woodsboro Community Hospital after being attacked by Ghostface while he was distracted by a phone call from Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox).

While reminiscing on Dewey's arguably untimely death, Campbell lovingly touched the photo and said, "Dewey... he shouldn't have died. I think that was a mistake."

View this post on Instagram 'Scream' Fans Agree with Neve Campbell About Dewey Riley's Death

While many Scream deaths can be debated as to whether they should have happened or not, Dewey's comes up often as one that perhaps should not have. With two more sequels made after Arquette's character was killed off, many franchise fans feel like he should have been kept around to pop up again at some point.

One fan was quick to agree with Campbell, writing, "(Dewey) getting offed still makes no sense to me."

Another chimed in, "Agree sheriff Riley was awesome."

"Agreed, Dewey shouldn’t have left," a third commenter wrote.

A fourth Scream fan shared, "I've held onto the trauma of Dewey for years."

Others argued that Randy (Jamie Kennedy) also should have been spared and brought back for future Scream films.

One commenter is still not over either, and wrote, "I told my husband I didn't get over Dewey's death yet and he said 'babe, you're not over Randy's death and it happened 30 years ago' lol."

While the debate over which Scream death shouldn't have happened continues, one thing is for sure: this horror franchise has some incredibly loyal fans with big opinions.

1976 Classic Was a No. 1 Hit 50 Years Ago Today

Thu, 02/26/2026 - 1:11pm

Fifty years ago today, Paul Simon of the iconic duo Simon and Garfunkel topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart with his classic hit "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover."

The song was originally released in 1975 on his two-time Grammy Award-winning fourth studio album, Still Crazy After All These Years. "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" was the second single on the album and his first and only solo chart topper—staying there for three consecutive weeks.

Immediately after its release the track garnered significant commercial success, earning a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling over one million copies just one month after hitting No. 1.

Produced by Phil Ramone via Columbia Records, "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" is recognizable for its distinctly unique drum riff—played by Steve Gadd—and backing vocals from legendary '70s artists, Patti Austin, Valerie Simpson and Phoebe Snow. In 1976, the single received a Grammy Award nomination for Record of the Year and earned a BMI Pop Award for its significant mainstream success and critical acclaim.

Simon, two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, wrote the upbeat breakup track in the wake of his divorce from his first wife Peggy Harper. The song spins the idea of the classic sad breakup ballad on its head, capturing a lighthearted and conversational tone regarding the end of a relationship. The catchy and humorous chorus lyrics—meant to represent a friend's advice to a person wanting to call off their relationship—were ironically inspired by a rhyming game Simon played with his son.

Despite being released over five decades ago, the song's catchy tune and witty lyricism still resonate with modern audiences. On Spotify alone, the track has accumulated over 326 million streams, living up to its status as one of Simon's most popular songs.

3,000 Drones Built Godzilla and Kong Over L.A. — and the Video Is Unreal

Thu, 02/26/2026 - 1:11pm

Apple TV staged a record-breaking drone show above Hollywood Forever Cemetery on the night of February 20 to promote Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2, and the scale of it was genuinely hard to process. Three thousand drones climbed nearly 500 feet into the Los Angeles sky, forming three-dimensional figures of Godzilla, Kong, and Titan X, the new monster at the center of the second season. For context: that's taller than the Statue of Liberty. The formations spread across a 1,000-by-1,000-foot footprint (roughly the size of three football fields) and were visible from three miles away in any direction.

The 12-minute show officially set a Guinness World Record for the tallest aerial display of a fictional character formed by drones, surpassing the previous record set by Marvel's Wolverine display at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2024. It was designed and executed by creative agency Heads in the Sky and scored by Monarch composer Leopold Ross, who wrote an original piece specifically for the event. Pyrotechnic-equipped drones were woven throughout the sequence, including a simulated atomic breath effect produced both in the air and on the ground.

Cast members Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anders Holm, Mari Yamamoto, and Joe Tippett were on the ground to watch it happen. The elder Russell was visibly impressed, according to those at the event. The show came one day after the cast walked the red carpet at the TCL Chinese Theatre for the Season 2 world premiere. At that event, Wyatt Russell spoke candidly about the weight of working alongside his father: there's extra pressure, he told reporters, because the result lives on permanently, and you can't go back and change it once it's done.

Related: Steven Spielberg and Morgan Freeman Team Up for New Dinosaur Project

The father and son dynamic of playing the same character across different decades is the hook that has kept Monarch in conversation since it premiered in November 2023. Kurt Russell plays aging Army officer Lee Shaw in the present-day timeline. Wyatt plays the younger version of Shaw in flashbacks. Neither has shared the screen yet, which is its own ongoing point of fascination for viewers. Season 1 earned an 87% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Season 2 picks up with the fate of Monarch (and the world) hanging in the balance, with the full returning cast joined by the newly introduced Titan X as the season's central antagonist. Ten episodes drop weekly on Apple TV+ beginning February 27, running through May 1. A spinoff series, a Young Lee Shaw prequel starring Wyatt Russell, is already in development, with production expected to begin this spring.

1975 Hit Ranked Among ‘Best Classic Rock Songs of All Time’ Became a Best-Selling Classic

Thu, 02/26/2026 - 1:10pm

Out of all the iconic classic rock songs that have been released in the past several decades, many have solidified legacies as having helped establish and transform the genre over the years — think Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain," or "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

But one classic rock song by an iconic band in particular has truly proven itself to be a rock anthem and has stood the test of time since it was first released in 1975. Collider ranked "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen as one of the 25 best classic rock songs of all time, reflecting on the legacy and cult following its created over the years. With over 2 billion views on YouTube, the song is genuinely one of the greats.

"The way 'Bohemian Rhapsody' shifts around and does daring stuff, all the while still being so approachable, does make it an undeniably impressive song," Collider writes.

Queen rock band, Roger Taylor, John Deacon, Brian May and Freddie Mercury (left to right), with silver, gold and platinum awards they received from the British Phonographic Institute, for the sales of Bohemian Rhapsody and two albums.

The six-minute song was released in 1975 as the lead single from Queen's fourth studio album A Night at the Opera. The track is best known for the way it seemingly combines several different musical genres into one song, including opera, hard rock and a traditional ballad. Written by the legendary Freddie Mercury, "Bohemian Rhapsody" quickly became Queen's signature song, securing the honor of being the U.K.'s best-selling song of the 1970s and the third best-selling song of all time.

"Bohemian Rhapsody" broke a lot of the songwriting rules when it was released, like how it omitted a real chorus and its alternating composition, but that played a huge role in why the song remains iconic over five decades later.

"It had a very big risk factor," Mercury once said in an interview. "The radios didn't really like it initially because it was too long and the record companies said you can't market it that way, and after me having virtually put the three songs together, they wanted me to sort of slice it up again, so I said no way. They said nobody would play it, it's too long and I just said it either goes out in its entirety or not at all. So it was a big risk, it was either going to be a big flop because nobody would play it or something would happen and luckily it became a major hit."

Today, you can find "Bohemian Rhapsody" on virtually ever listicle about the best and most influential rock songs of all time. Hundreds of covers of the song have been released over the years, with many other rock music icons praising the song for changing the genre forever, including The Beach Boys' Brian Wilson. In 2004, the song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, and has been preserved in the Library of Congress since 2022.

Leighton Meester Reveals the Real Reason She Barely Watched ‘Gossip Girl’

Thu, 02/26/2026 - 1:05pm

Actress Leighton Meester found mainstream success as Blair Waldorf, AKA Queen B, on the hit teen drama, Gossip Girl, which had a six-season run until 2012.

Meester reunited with her Gossip Girl co-star, Penn Badgley, for the final episode of his podcast, Podcrushed. During the February 2026 podcast episode, Meester asked Badgley, who played Dan Humphrey, if he had watched all of Gossip Girl. He replied, "No, definitely no," before explaining that he watched the show's first two seasons.

"I've watched at least 30 or 40 episodes of it probably, right? Which is a lot. That's a lot of hours," said Badgley.

He then said he intends to watch the hit series with his stepson.

"I think to show like my stepson and it would be kind of interesting. Maybe a little bit now that I really feel like a lot of time has passed and perspective and it doesn't feel like it would be hard to watch," said the You star, who is married to Domino Kirke.

Meester quipped that she does think revisiting Gossip Girl would be a hard watch. She then shared she's only seen a couple of episodes of the series. She explained that when the show was airing, it "was on TV on, like, Wednesday nights."

"We would work during those times. So unless you were recording it, you'd miss it. And so I think at some point I just missed it and just never caught up," said Meester.

She said while she "probably saw like a handful in the beginning," she's not against watching the full series at some point.

"I think I will someday," said Meester on the podcast.

Leighton Meester Shared Her Favorite Blair Waldorf Fashion Moments

While recording the Podcrushed episode, Meester mentioned that Blair was known for her fashion. She was then asked which of Blair's many iconic outfits she liked the most. Meester suggested that she enjoyed it when her character wore a headband.

"I think the thing about her is that she wore headbands and that was sort of like discussed early on as like her crown. You know, she's a queen," said Meester.

She also said that she liked when Blair was in "reimaginings of some old Hollywood movies," including a season 2 scene, wherein she was dressed like the My Fair Lady character, Eliza Doolittle.

"I thought that was kind of cool," said the actress.

Aldi's Chic 2-Piece Kitchen Jar Set Is a Stylish and Functional Mealtime Helper

Thu, 02/26/2026 - 1:05pm

If you watch enough Food Network, it's only natural to wish you had a production coordinator in your own kitchen to set up a flawless mise en place ahead of making a meal. On TV, every spice is already measured, every herb perfectly chopped, and every tiny bowl placed just so. Meanwhile, at home, I'm still digging through a cabinet trying to remember where I put the paprika.

Those little spice cellars in particular always catch my eye. They look so elegant lined up by the stove, lids perched just right, ready to offer a pinch of salt or a teaspoon of pepper at a moment's notice. It feels very chef-y.

Crofton 2 Pack Ceramic Spice Cellars, $9.99 at Aldi Aldi's Crofton 2 Pack of Ceramic Spice Cellars

Aldi

So imagine the way this 2-pack of Crofton Ceramic Spice Cellars caught my attention at Aldi this week. Each spice cellar is equipped with a lid and tiny spoon made of beechwood. No, they don’t come with that handy production coordinator but they do still make it a whole lot easier to grab that dash of salt or pepper.

It's just basic math that you'll use those spices more often if they're easier to reach. Just don't treat these cellars as long-term storage. Keep bulk spices in a cool, dark cabinet and refill cellars as you need them to keep their flavor as fresh as possible.

So for example, you'd probably use ceramic spice cellars for the most commonly used seasonings in your kitchen, which are likely salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. That way the contents will get used up quickly won't hang around in the cellar for too long.

If you haven't checked out the Aldi Finds aisle recently, there are so many good useful kitchen items lining its shelves right now, like foldable cutting boards people are loving. You'll also see some really stunning confetti glassware and the most clever 3-in-1 food prep ball that helps you chop and dice ingredients with ease.

Because, let's be real, making your kitchen a more convenient place to make a meal shouldn't have to cost a small fortune. And Aldi delivers some of the most helpful kitchen tools at budget-friendly prices.

Fine Dining v. Fast Food: The USA Women's and Men's Hockey Contrast That Has Everyone Talking

Thu, 02/26/2026 - 1:03pm

So, last week both the men’s and women’s hockey teams beat Team Canada to take home gold for the U.S. at the Winter Games in Milan. And, keeping with tradition, both teams were invited by the president of the United States to attend the State of the Union address and enjoy a meal at the White House. The boys accepted the invitation. The girls, however, did not.

Why the women turned down the invitation is up for debate: The team cited other commitments as their reason for declining. Others claim it’s because the women were slighted by the president, who sullied their victory in a phone call with the men’s team.

Following the men’s win and beer-fueled celebration with FBI Director Kash Patel, the president joked in a locker room phone call that he would be “impeached” if didn’t also invite the women’s team to the White House festivities.

“We’ll just have some fun, we have medals for you guys. And we have to — I must tell you — we’re going to have to bring the women’s team, you do know that,” President Trump said as he and the team laughed. “I do believe I probably would be impeached [if I didn’t].”

Either way, the internet is having a field day with a certain glaring contrast: the women dining on a gourmet Italian meal hosted by culinary legend Stanley Tucci, and the men chowing down on fast-food courtesy of McDonald’s and President Trump.

Clever posters online are having a field day. See for yourself.

How embarrassing. The gold medal–winning USA Hockey Team visits the White House, and Trump serves them McDonald’s.

'Bridgerton' Season 4 Ending Explained: Does Violet Bridgerton Remarry?

Thu, 02/26/2026 - 1:00pm

[WARNING! This article spoils the events of Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2, now available for streaming on Netflix. Please do not read further if you do not intend to know what happens in Episodes 5-8.]

The entire Bridgerton series has been built on the concept of true love and following one's heart, with Season 4 revealing if Lady Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell) takes the walk down the aisle. Part 1 of the season saw her give in to her desires to be with Lord Anderson (Daniel Francis), but does it lead to something more?

For a few seasons, fans watched as Lady Bridgerton focused on being a mother and guiding her children on what it means to find a love match. Bridgerton Season 4 shifted gears by giving her her own sizzling love story, with Part 2 questioning if that's what she truly wants amid the turmoil with her children's own lives.

Does Violet Bridgerton marry Lord Anderson?

No, and fans may be divided on what happens with their relationship. Part 2 continues their love affair, with both incredibly happy to be together. When the topic of marriage or an engagement is brought up, Lady Bridgerton is hesitant to even think about it. Near the end of Episode 6, she approaches Lord Anderson about resuming their conversation over tea.

Lord Anderson honestly reveals he didn't want to finalize the commitment over Lady Bridgerton's concern for her children. He goes on to say that he's aware of never being able to replace the late Lord Bridgerton and doesn't wish to tear apart the family, and would rather be a part of them.

By the end of his speech, he confesses his love to her and asks for her hand in marriage, to which Lady Bridgerton accepts. But turmoil ensues by the end of Part 2. In the wake of John's (Victor Alli) death, Lady Bridgerton asks if they can keep their engagement a secret until the appropriate time. Later on in the season, she has a heart-to-heart about love with Benedict (Luke Thompson) and another conversation, realizing he is just like her when she was young.

Related: ‘Bridgerton’ Season 4 Ending Explained: Does Penelope Give Up Being Lady Whistledown?

In the finale, everything works out for all the main characters, except for Lady Bridgerton. When Lord Anderson says it's the perfect time to announce their engagement and tell the children, she hesitates. Lady Bridgerton speaks honestly of having realized part of her hesitation comes from her having been a mother and wife a majority of her life.

She says she's "lost perspective" of who she was before that, her carefree spirit and individuality. Marriage, she fears, will hinder her new chance of refinding herself, but she doesn't want to lose Lord Anderson at the same time. Sadly, Lord Anderson reveals that he was willing to wait if she had plans to one day marry, but now believes it won't be her intention. He ends their relationship.

The post-credit scene shows Lady Bridgerton appearing somewhat saddened about it all when Francesca (Hannah Dodd) admits not wanting to remarry and having already had her one great love.

As Lillian (Kohan) prepares to leave for London to help her sister Grace (Hudon) through a difficult pregnancy, a lawyer (Cindy Busby) shows up at the orphanage with a surprising secret.

Lisa Rinna Claims Fentanyl Was Found in Her System After Alleged Drugging at ‘The Traitors’ Premiere Party

Thu, 02/26/2026 - 12:53pm

Lisa Rinna claims to have been drugged at the Los Angeles premiere party for The Traitors—and now she's saying fentanyl and amphetamines were found in her system.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star made the bold claim during a Thursday, Feb. 26 appearance on Good Day New York.

During her interview with hosts Jerry O'Connell and Rosanna Scotto, Rinna said she knows "for certain" she was roofied as she took a drug test that she claims detected “fentanyl, high levels of amphetamines and other things” in her system. She did not specify what the “other things” were or provide details about the type of test she underwent.

"I can't talk a lot about it because we're still dealing with it, it was leaked and my team is dealing with now," she added.

Rinna also thanked her husband, Harry Hamlin, for being there and getting her out of the party quickly and safely.

RELATED: Lisa Rinna Allegedly Roofied at ‘The Traitors’ Premiere Party

TMZ was the first to report the story of Rinna's alleged drugging on Monday Feb. 23. Sources close to the situation told the outlet that Rinna’s co-star Colton Underwood noticed she was “completely inebriated," despite the fact she had not had much to drink. He then let her team know his concerns, and they handled the situation from there.

On The Traitors, Rinna and Underwood were known adversaries—with Underwood being integral to Rinna's ousting on the show. After filming wrapped, Rinna made social media posts calling the former Bachelor a "stalker," seemingly referencing the stalking allegations made by Underwood’s ex-girlfriendCassie Randolph.

The premiere party took place in West Hollywood, Calif. on Jan. 8. It remains unclear if police are investigating this incident or if Rinna sought treatment at a hospital.

'Jury Duty' Season 2 Trailer Tricks Anthony Norman Into a Chaotic Work Retreat

Thu, 02/26/2026 - 12:47pm

The Amazon Prime prank show, Jury Duty is back for season 2, but with a completely new setting.

The trailer reveals this season's target is a temp named Anthony Norman, who believes he's on a company retreat, but everyone else is an actor. The trailer shows the unique situations he'll have to navigate.

Jury Duty Season 2 Premieres March 20

The trailer starts with Norman recording a video outside his new job's building. He forgot the name of the business called "Rockin' Grandmas", and has to look at the building. "I'm basically here to do whatever they need me to do," he told the camera. His job will be to help plan the company's retreat, which will involve motivational speakers and a talent contest.

The retreat will have actors playing employees in different divisions. Jerry Hauck from Saving Mr. Banks plays the CEO who plans to pass his position to his irresponsible son. Alex Bonfire from Kevin Can F**k Himselfplays the son with bleached hair who has returned from Jamaica.

There is a twist to this season's story. The CEO reveals he's considering selling the company to someone else. "If they think they could just come in and do whatever they feel like they want to do, they're in for a rude awakening," Norman said in a group interview. It looks like he gets emotionally tied to his fake coworkers.

Season 1 pranked Ronald Gladden by making him think he was serving jury duty on a ridiculous case.James Marsden also played an egotistical version of himself. The rest of the cast were also actors, but that wasn't noticed by Gladden.

The season 1 star told fans he is keeping season 2 spoilers under wraps. He posted earlier this month on Instagram that, "Before anyone tries to get information out of me, just know that I kept Jury Duty a secret for 14 months, even from my family, so you just gotta wait tune in March 20th."

'Full House' Stars Jodie Sweetin and John Stamos Dance to Taylor Swift In Fun Video: 'Love You Uncle J'

Thu, 02/26/2026 - 12:44pm

Full House stars John Stamos and Jodie Sweetin are the dancing duo we didn't know we needed.

In a fun video shared to Instagram this week, Stamos and his TV niece donned matching sweatsuits and danced to Taylor Swift's "Opalite," complete with the choreography from the song's recently released music video.

"If Uncle Jesse and Stephanie Tanner had social media today," read the video's caption, to which Stamos wrote, "I'd follow them."

View this post on Instagram

"Love you Uncle J and I hope you never take that sweatsuit off," Sweetin commented on the video.

"I’m sure @caitlinskybound agrees," she added, mentioning Stamos' wife Caitlyn McHugh Stamos.

And of course, fans, friends, and even a former co-star weighed in on the post's comments.

"Omg I love you guys so much," wrote Kelly Rizzo, who was married to the late Full House star Bob Saget until his death in 2022.

"Don't know what's happening but I love it," chimed Scott Weinger, who played, Steve Hale, the high school boyfriend of Candace Cameron Bure's character, DJ Tanner.

And those who just merely loved the show as viewers, also couldn't help but comment.

"THIS IS THE BEST," a fan added.

"How are you guys the cutest ever? This made me so happy," another said.

"Lord I didn't know how much I needed this video today," said a third.

The cast of the show, which ran from 1987 to 1995, has stayed close over the years with most reuniting or making appearances in the sitcom's Netflix reboot Fuller House, which aired from 2016-2020.

As for Sweetin, she's kept her ties to the show going as she hosts a podcast with co-star Andrea Barber entitled "How Rude, Tanneritos!" where the two reminisce about the show and interview fellow 90s actors and co-stars like Gail Edwards.

Stamos has mainly stayed in the spotlight and is slated to star in the next season of The Hunting Wives on Netflix. However, he's always shown love and support for his Full House family whether it's through fun social media posts or being there for co-star Dave Coulier amid his cancer journey.

Zach Braff on Directing 'Scrubs' Revival Pilot: 'I Felt a Lot of Pressure'

Thu, 02/26/2026 - 12:41pm

Zach Braff not only reprised his leading role as John "JD" Dorian in the revival of Scrubs, but he also took a seat in the director's chair.

The highly anticipated revival of the hit comedy series premiered on Wednesday, Feb. 25. Braff directed the first episode of the new series and spoke with People about the experience.

“I was nervous directing the pilot. I really wanted to get it right. I think that it was important to set the tone, the back-to-reality basics," Braff told People. "We're going to have our fantasies, there's definitely comedy, there's definitely drama, but I felt a lot of pressure to make sure that we nailed the tone for the fans, most importantly, and for ourselves, because that was going to really set us on the right course."

Braff continued, "When we finally locked the pilot and everyone was so excited about it, I felt a big exhale of relief because I knew we at least had a good base as a jumping off point."

The revival series also sees the return of Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, Judy Reyes, and John C. McGinley.

Referring to Faison and Chalke, Braff said, "I just feel so lucky. It's the best job. I love laughing with these two. I love revisiting these characters. I love finding a new way to tell the story in 2026, sort of re-grounding it, but based back in reality. We got a little crazy and surreal towards the end of the run of Scrubs."

Braff expressed that the cast and crew behind Scrubs wanted to bring the show back to fans when the time felt right.

"There were so many people that were asking for this, and I really feel like it took enough time for us to figure out how to do it right and get the right team on board, because it really was assembling the dream team," he said.

Scrubs airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and streaming next day on Hulu.

Jack Schlossberg Shares Adorable Throwback Photo Alongside His Late Uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr.

Thu, 02/26/2026 - 12:26pm

Jack Schlossberg is looking back on the people who helped shape him, and that includes his late uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr.

Schlossberg, 33, who is the son of Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg, made waves on social media as a Vogue columnist before announcing he was running as a Democrat for the U.S. House of Representatives in New York's 12th Congressional District. Now in the midst of a campaign, the rising politico took to Instagram on Thursday to share a touching, never-before-seen throwback photo of JFK Jr. sitting on a couch at Schlossberg's christening as the precious little one sits alongside him.

"I have the best Godparents 😇from my christening to the campaign, absolute legend @alstyron is always there for me — and yes, she BELIEVES IN SOMETHING AGAIN !" Schlossberg captioned the photo, honoring his godmother, Alexandra Styron. But it's JFK Jr., sporting a tie with his arms around his seatmates, that particularly caught our eye.

Losing His Beloved Sister, Tatiana Schlossberg

A political campaign comes at a challenging time for Schlossberg, whose sister, Tatiana Schlossberg, died on Dec. 30 after a battle with acute myeloid leukemia. A respected environmental journalist, her death came just one month after she publicly shared her diagnosis in a widely-read New Yorker essay.

Less than a week after her passing, Jack honored his sister on Instagram with a quote from her 2002 book, Inconspicuous Consumption: The Environmental Impact You Don't Know You Have. There were several other prominent quotes in the slides, including pieces from Herman Melville and Abraham Lincoln. But in the final side, Jack shared the most touching piece of all: a throwback photo of himself alongside his sister as they laughed together.

View this post on Instagram Schlossberg Has Voiced His Distaste for Love Story

Schlossberg has frequently voiced his concern about the new FX/Hulu series Love Story, which tells the story of JFK Jr.'s romance with his wife, Carolyn Bessette. In an Instagram Story, Schlossberg said his family was never consulted about the series, and he feels it's a violation of their privacy, PEOPLE reported.

"I hope those making these shows about him take seriously what he stood for in his life, all that he achieved in it. And that they donate some of the profits [that] they're making," Schlossberg shared. "For the record, I think admiration for my Uncle John is great. What I don't think is great is profiting off of it in a grotesque way."

Costco Recalls Popular Frozen Meals After Glass Reports Surface

Thu, 02/26/2026 - 12:25pm

Another week, another food safety alert that has shoppers checking their freezers. This time, a widely purchased frozen meal sold at Costco is at the center of a recall after reports of foreign material surfaced. While no injuries have been confirmed, the situation is serious enough that officials are urging customers not to eat the affected product.

The Costco recall involves frozen chicken fried rice products that may be contaminated with pieces of glass. The issue came to light after several consumer complaints reported finding glass fragments in the product. Out of caution, the company initiated a voluntary recall to prioritize food safety and prevent potential harm.

What We Know About the Costco Recall

Costco

The affected frozen meals were produced between September 8, 2025, and November 17, 2025. According to federal officials, the recall was triggered after the manufacturer received four consumer complaints about glass found in the product. Even though there have been no confirmed reports of injuries, glass fragments can pose a serious risk if consumed.

The recall includes frozen chicken fried rice sold at Costco locations, as well as similar products distributed to other retailers, like Trader Joe's. Food safety officials are concerned that some packages may still be stored in shoppers' freezers.

Consumers who purchased the impacted items are urged not to eat them. Instead, they should throw the product away or return it to Costco for a full refund. As with most Costco recall notices, members can bring the item back to their local warehouse without hassle.

Why Food Safety Officials Are Taking This Seriously

Foreign material contamination, especially glass, is considered a significant food safety concern. Even small fragments can cause internal injury. That's why this Costco recall is being treated with urgency, despite the absence of confirmed injuries so far.

Federal agencies routinely conduct recall effectiveness checks to ensure products are removed from shelves and that customers are properly notified. In situations like this, acting quickly helps reduce risk and protect consumers.

If you have recently purchased frozen chicken fried rice from Costco, it’s a good idea to double-check the packaging and production dates. When in doubt, do not consume the product. Food safety experts consistently advise that it is better to err on the side of caution.

Costco has built a reputation for responding quickly to recall situations, and this case appears to follow that pattern. The company is encouraging members to return affected items and reach out to the manufacturer with any questions.

While recalls can be unsettling, they are also part of a broader food safety system designed to protect shoppers. Staying informed and checking your freezer when alerts like this surface can help keep your household safe.

‘80s Hit Ranked ‘Top Album of 1986’ Marked a Controversial Comeback for Music Legend

Thu, 02/26/2026 - 12:23pm

In 1986, Paul Simon was at a turning point in his career. The legendary Simon and Garfunkel singer and guitarist had suffered a series of setbacks in both his personal and professional life, but a hit album release changed the game.

In February 2026, Ultimate Classic Rock ranked Simon’s Graceland the top album of 1986. The album beat out Metallica’s Master of Puppets, Peter Gabriel’s So,  and REM’s Life’s Rich Pageant for the top spot, as well as releases by ‘80s heavy hitters such as Prince, Madonna, and Bon Jovi.

UCR declared that the album "reignited Simon's career,” describing it as “a joyful celebration of cultural identity and music's ability to transcend continental lines.” "Decades later, it still sounds like a pivotal point in recording history, when the world became smaller and closer through the power of music,” the outlet noted.

Graceland featured the singles “You Can Call Me Al,” “The Boy in the Bubble,” and “Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes,” as well as the title track. While none of the songs were massive Billboard hits, the album as a whole was. Graceland won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year at the 29th Grammy Awards in 1987 and scored more trophies the following year.

The success of Graceland came after Simon experienced a rare commercial disappointment with his previous album, Hearts and Bones. It was also fresh off his divorce from actress Carrie Fisher. The album was inspired after Simon became interested in South African street music, and ultimately recorded with musicians in South Africa at a time when apartheid was a major concern in the country.

According to American Songwriter, Simon ignored the UN declaration of a cultural boycott to “prevent all cultural, academic, sporting and other exchanges” of South Africa. “ Not only was the singer accused of breaking a political boycott, but some felt he exploited the African musicians and engaged in cultural appropriation.

Simon knew there would be criticisms. “I knew I would be criticized if I went, even though I wasn’t going to record for the government … or to perform for segregated audiences. I was following my musical instincts in wanting to work with people whose music I greatly admired,” he told the New York Times in 1986.

In an interview with Uncut, Simon said he was never intimidated about recording in South Africa. “I don’t regret it,”  he added. “There was no boycott that applied to recording with South African musicians. It applied to performing in front of segregated audiences or sporting events or political events. But it didn’t apply to recording. Probably because it never occurred to them that anybody was going to do it.”

“The musicians voted whether they wanted me to come, and they wanted to know how much I was going to pay them," Simon explained. “I paid them double New York scale, which was something like $600 a session, and they were making $10 a session. So they were happy to come in and play. So the whole experience of making that record was very exciting and very pleasurable for everybody. Nothing bad happened until it was a hit.”

"We are about the intersection of politics and popular culture," Kennedy said to a caller into Larry King Live who asked why he chose Cindy Crawford as George's first cover model in September 1995. "Cindy Crawford is a symbol of American commercialism in a way. As well as being a very capable businesswoman."

"One of the things you have to understand is it's the opportunity to do an entrepreneurial idea and to take a risk, develop an idea and to nurture it," Kennedy added.
