Beloved Country Artist ‘Barely Alive’ Following Severe Car Crash: ‘It’s a Tragedy’
A country music artist is fighting for his life in the ICU after his car was struck on the interstate in New Mexico earlier this week.
On Feb. 24, rising artist Jeremy Graham of Oklahoma was driving with his dog in tow when his vehicle was hit by a semi-truck, causing it to slam into another semi, according to a post shared by his daughter, Destiny, on his official Facebook page.
Graham’s daughter has set up a GoFundMe campaign to help alleviate some of the mounting medical bills. On the page, she shared more details about the horrific crash and Graham’s condition. The page reveals the singer/songwriter had to be “cut out” of his vehicle following the accident. He was then life-flighted to a nearby trauma center in Texas, where he is currently receiving treatment.
The Singer Has Suffered Multiple Broken BonesThough the full extent of his injuries remains unclear, it has been confirmed that Graham has suffered “a broken back, broken neck, and broken ribs.” He is lucky to be alive, but he faces a long road to recovery, including relearning how to walk and undergoing additional medical tests.
His Dog Was Killed in the AccidentOn Wednesday, Feb. 25, Graham took to Facebook, showing himself for the first time since the traumatic incident. He appeared to be in a hospital bed and visibly emotional as he spoke personally to his family, friends, and fans, updating them on his condition and on what had happened. In his post, he also revealed his dog, who had been in the car with him, had died.
“Hey folks. Here I sit,” Graham begins in his emotional video. “I’m barely alive here. Thank you, guys. I’m still discombobulated.”
“My daughter said that people are helping out with some things,” he added before sharing that he has “a broken back, broken ribs, broken heart, dog died that was in the car with me. It’s a tragedy. Thank you, guys, for the support, and I hope to see you guys soon.”
He Is Currently Unable to PerformGraham, who is unable to perform any of his upcoming shows, added that he is “not too worried about music stuff right now at all. I just got to get better. Just giving you guys an update. Later. Love you.”
The crash is even more heartbreaking as Graham’s wife, Amy, recently finished cancer treatment, according to the GoFundMe page that has so far raised over $50,000. The page states that Graham “has worked his tail off as a musician to carry them through her journey and chase his dreams at the same time. Now, he will need the love and support of others to carry him through. Please donate if you can, or share if you can't donate. Please continue to pray for him.”
Gwyneth Paltrow is Auctioning Off Fashion Highlights — Including an Oscars Dress
Gwyneth Paltrow made a wondrous return to cinema this awards season with Marty Supreme, which is currently nominated for a whopping nine Oscars going into next month's ceremony.
And now, the Academy Award winner, 53, is keeping busy with an all-new auction that just launched online courtesy of Julien's. "Bold Luxury: Gwyneth Paltrow Lexicon of Style & The Archival Edit" has a variety of Paltrow's fashion pieces available, including dazzling jewelry, furniture and even an award-show dress.
"Since the mid-1990s, Paltrow’s aesthetic has helped shape modern style," Julien's auction description reads online. "Her long-standing affinity for John Galliano, Dior, and Giorgio Armani, paired with her own contemporary vision through the goop brand, reflects a deep understanding of luxury living."
The description continues, "This auction explores her confident presence and refined sensibility, with each piece rooted in its house’s heritage and crafted with timeless fabrication. From fashion to interiors, Paltrow’s aesthetic is a consistent throughline: intentional, nuanced, and transcendent of trends."
Check out some of the auction highlights featured in Julien's Instagram clip below.
View this post on InstagramFans threw their support behind Paltrow's latest endeavor in the comments section of Julien's post on Wedneday, Feb. 25. "Love [this] idea Gwen! I hope I can get a little glam for my daughters up coming wedding 🫶🏻👏🏻🧿," wrote one Instagram user, while another person commented, "Great project to put energy into! 👏🏻."
Paltrow’s belongings will be auctioned at the Peninsula Beverly Hills and online March 24 and 25.
Vanity Fair reports that part of the proceeds will be donated to World Central Kitchen, a nonprofit that distributes chef-prepared meals to communities affected by natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
The goop founder recently opened up to Vogue about how her auction idea came about.
"I was sitting with one of my great old friends, Rashida Jones, and I said to her, 'I have all this great stuff that doesn’t go anywhere. I wish I could just have a huge garage sale," Paltrow told the magazine. "'Well, why don’t you call this place Julien's?' [Jones suggested]. I was like, 'Is that totally random?'"
Justin Bieber Rehearses for Coachella in the Most Random Spot
Justin Bieber doesn’t always need a studio to rehearse—sometimes, a mundane, everyday place like a furniture store will do.
Earlier this week, the singer was spotted inside Downtown L.A.’s Deep House Design Store, where what began as a casual shopping trip quickly turned into an impromptu rehearsal session. Video from inside the showroom obtained by TMZ shows Bieber, 31, hopping behind a piano and later testing out a drum kit, fully locked in as he played for the small crowd in attendance.
According to witnesses who spoke with the outlet, the pop star spent roughly 40 minutes inside the store, chatting with staff about potentially purchasing pieces while also putting on what amounted to a mini private concert for about three customers and employees. A crowd may have been small, but for Bieber, it seemed like the perfect low-key warmup, especially with Coachella on the horizon in just over a month.
The surprise performance comes at a time when the Grammy winner appears to be balancing music with family life. His wife Hailey Bieber recently shared updates about the couple’s 16-month-old son, Jack Blues Bieber, during an appearance on Jake Shane’sTherapuss podcast. “[Jack] has been saying, ‘Baby, oh baby, oh baby oh,’” she revealed—clearly a nod to her husband’s 2010 breakout hit “Baby.”
Hailey added that Jack frequently says “basketball,” recalling, “He talks a lot about basketball. He says ‘basketball’ all the time…I went to get him up from his nap today, and he was like, ‘Basketball.’ It’s insane. So funny.” The toddler has also started saying “please,” a word he first learned through sign language before verbalizing it. The couple keeps Jack largely out of the spotlight, mostly sharing photos with the toddler’s face hidden.
And as he gears up to take the Coachella stage on April 11 and April 18, it seems any room—even one filled with couches—can become part of the prep.
2 ’90s Country Icons Announced as Headliners of Major Summer Festival
Two of the most recognizable voices from country music’s 1990s boom are headed back to the festival circuit this summer.
Travis Tritt revealed on Instagram that he will headline Rock the Plains 2026, a two-day country music festival scheduled for August 7–8, 2026, in Alma, Kansas, just 15 minutes from Manhattan. Fellow ’90s hitmaker Mark Chesnutt is also billed as a featured headliner, giving the weekend lineup a strong dose of nostalgia for fans who grew up on country radio during the genre’s commercial peak.

According to the official lineup graphic shared online, the festival will feature:
Friday, August 7- Travis Tritt
- Ian Munsick
- Dylan Marlowe
- Lincoln Swanzey

Saturday, August 8- Mark Chesnutt
- Flatland Cavalry
- Josh Meloy
- Austin Williams
- Kristen Kelly
- Curtis Grimes
- DJ DU
The pairing brings together two distinct but complementary strands of ’90s country. Tritt built his career on a Southern rock edge layered over country storytelling, while Chesnutt became one of the era’s leading traditionalists, known for his honky-tonk lean and unmistakable Texas drawl. Together, they represent two of the defining sounds of the decade.

Rock the Plains is part of a newer wave of country festivals in the region following the relocation of long-running events from the Manhattan area in recent years. The event leans into Red Dirt and Texas country influences while blending established national names with rising acts.
Ticket sales are already underway. According to the official site, Tier 1 two-day general admission passes are priced at $139 for the first 1,000 tickets. Prices increase in stages beginning March 25, May 26, and July 27. Single-day general admission passes are listed at $99 per day.
With a lineup that bridges generations of country fans, Rock the Plains appears poised to draw both longtime followers of ’90s country and newer listeners discovering the era’s catalog for the first time.

The recently added dates and cities for 2026 include the following:

- April 13 - Ponte Vedre Beach, FL
- April 19 - Philadelphia, MS

- Lots more dates and cites on his website, too!
Whether you're already a Lukas Nelson fan or a loyal fan of his dad, the legendary Willie Nelson (can you believe he's 92 years young? Love you, Willie!), it would be so fun to see the younger Nelson live in concert on his solo tour. What's better than a spring or summertime country concert anyway? Not much.
Need more incentive to buy a concert ticket? How about Lukas shouting out to his fans via TikTok, "Can't wait to see you out there." Take a look.
Can’t wait to see you out there! Tickets go on sale this Friday, Feb 20 at 10AM local time on lukasnelson.com
♬ Born Runnin' Outta Time - Lukas Nelson View this post on InstagramLukas Nelson kicked off his first solo tour (without his former band Promise of the Real) in the fall of 2025, to support his debut solo album, American Romance. But lucky us, Nelson "Ain't Done" yet. The list of tour dates and cities continues to grow, and there are some excellent festivals in the mix, too.

In a past interview about his beloved father Willie, Lukas describes what sounds like a very tight-knit relationship. “Every second of every day, I am trying to be with my father if I can," he says.
This dedication to a parent is wonderful, but a country singer on the rise has gotta sing, and if anyone understands that kind of hard work and what it takes, it's the Willie Nelson.
Lukas adds, "I’ve always wanted to make [my father] proud by being a hard worker, being self-sufficient, and never needing to ask him for anything. And it takes me away from my dad sometimes, but I know that he knows why because he had to do the same thing when he was young.”
What a lucky son and what a lucky father.
The L.A. Transit System Just Dropped Some Surprisingly Naughty Merch
The Los Angeles Metro transit system announced the upcoming May 8 opening of their new D line on Feb. 26, and they celebrated the news with some surprisingly R-rated merch!
"Give the gift of the D before opening day 5.8.2026!" the public service shared on X beside a photo of their new "Ride The D" t-shirts. The cheeky look comes in two varieties: unisex heavyweight and crop top, and will set you back $21 and $20 respectively. Both are made of 100% cotton, and will help riders "commemorate this Los Angeles transit milestone," according to the website.
Citizens had mixed reactions to the drop, leaving some coveting the t-shirts and others outraged. "Gonna get odd looks in public, but 100% worth," said one, who shared a screenshot of their confirmed purchase, while another added, "Whichever of y'all decided to design this shirt needs a raise."

— Metro Los Angeles (@metrolosangeles) February 26, 2026A less-impressed follower wrote, "You guys can’t be serious," while another missed the joke entirely, writing, "Not to be a troll, but that reads like a raunchy pick up line. Who's doing your branding?"
The D line is an exciting addition to L.A.'s transit system, extending the existing D Line from Wilshire/Western to Wilshire/La Cienega and closing a major transit gap between Downtown Los Angeles and the Mid-Wilshire area. It will allow citizens easier access to culture hubs like the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, the Beverly Center, and the El Rey Theatre.
Why This Lodge Is the Ultimate Basecamp for Families Visiting Yosemite
Like millions of people both in the U.S. and abroad, experiencing the country’s most stunning treasures, its 63 national parks, is high on my travel bucket list. I’d made it to many of the biggies–the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Yellowstone, the Rockies, Mammoth Cave in Kentucky. I’ve even camped at Phantom Ranch in the Grand Canyon with an overloaded backpack (pro tip—never trust anyone, even your husband, with packing your pack), a journey that beat any of the 10 marathons I’ve run in my life for the most grueling.
But I had yet to visit Yosemite, the sixth most-visited national park in the country. So when I got the chance to take a quick 4-day trip to Northern California's home of giant sequoias, granite cliffs and stunning waterfalls, and stay at Tenaya at Yosemite—super-convenient to the park—I laced up my hiking boots and jumped on a plane.
I was mildly disappointed that our brief stay didn’t allow for more on-foot park exploration, but we were able to immerse ourselves in the Yosemite landscape and see many of the major sites via a luxury van tour (more on that later). Next time I visit—and I promise, I will return!—I'll be sure to book a guided hike directly with Tenaya. The resort offers treks to some of the most scenic spots in the park for guests of various fitness levels, from easy to advanced.

Location: How Close Is Tenaya at Yosemite to Yosemite National Park?Tenaya at Yosemite is a mere 2-mile drive to the South Entrance of Yosemite by private car, resort shuttle service or tour service. There are a handful of lodging options inside the park itself, but snagging a reservation is extremely competitive in the 6th most-visited National Park in the country. But for families and friend groups looking for a wide array of activities and lodging options, it may be better than the limited in-park alternatives.
There are four other entrances to the park, but the South Entrance offers easy access to iconic spots like the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, Glacier Point—which offers panoramic views of Half Dome—Bridalveil Falls and Yosemite Valley. Wawona, a historic area roughly 10 miles from the entrance, offers hiking trails to Chilnualna Falls.

Accommodations: Main Lodge, Cottages or Explorer Cabins?Unless you’re a camper at heart and consider a tent and sleeping bag essential to a prime National Park experience, it’s hard to imagine anyone who would not find the perfect lodging option at Tenaya at Yosemite.
The resort is anchored by the 244-room Main Lodge, a more traditional accommodations option for guests and the hub of activities for the entire resort. Its comfortable, spacious rooms were renovated in 2024, featuring warm wood tones, earthy colors and custom-designed, handcrafted and locally inspired furnishings inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement of the 1900s.
The stunning lobby with its souring cathedral ceiling, where you can find live music in the evenings, boasts a massive rock fireplace and multiple gatherings and conversation areas. Guests have easy access to dining options, hotel amenities like a spa and fitness center, and special features such as a game room and regular activities like S’mores Night.

The townhouse-style 53 Cottage Rooms & Suites offer a second option for park visitors. A close walk through the sugar pines and cedars from the lodge, the cottages are perfect for guests who want a little more space and privacy. Fireplaces, porches and outdoor areas give guests spots to relax and gather, making the Cottage Rooms & Suites ideal for multigenerational family groups or getaways with friends, as well as anyone preferring a more sedate, secluded vibe.

I was completely inspired by my stay in the spacious, 2-bedroom Explorer Cabin. A pleasant 10-minute wooded walk from the lodge, the 50 Explorer Cabins are a collection of 500-square-foot, sleek, modern spaces reminiscent of a tiny home community allowing for almost-independent living, with kitchenettes featuring ample refrigerator/freezers, microwaves and coffee makers and cozy living rooms with fireplaces. Options with bunk beds in the second bedroom and shower/tub combinations in the bathroom are optimal for families.
I was missing my husband and 20-something year old son during my solo stay in a premium Explorer Cabin with a king bed in the primary (plus an adjoining balcony overlooking a forest stream) and a comfy queen in the second bedroom. In fact, the floor plan was so inviting that I’m filing it away in the recesses of my mind in case we ever pull the trigger on buying a piece of lakeside property to build on—and certainly for a future family stay at Tenaya at Yosemite. We witnessed families enjoying downtime around some of the many firepits among the cabins.
Tenaya at Yosemite
While the Explorer Cabins are a bit of a hike from the lodge, guests can recreate and grab a snack or quick continental breakfast and coffee at the Explorer Clubhouse, centrally located among the cabins. (The clubhouse is now undergoing renovations but will reopen in April 2026, in time for the summer season.) Golf cart transportation is also available directly from the cabins to the lodge with a call to the front desk for those who want to skip the walk or who have mobility issues.

Amenities, Perks and ActivitiesWhile Yosemite is the highlight, there’s plenty of action for everyone on-resort, both indoors and outdoors. Adventuresome types can imagine they’re climbing Half-Dome while navigating the 18-foot climbing wall on the resort’s front lawn, take a turn attempting to hit a bullseye at the archery range out in the forest, or taking advantage of a guided nature walk with one of the many resort staff who are knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the area.
Guests can relax at one of the three outdoor pools, or take a dip in the indoor pool year round, where you can also take in a “dive-in movie” on occasion. We witnessed groups playing board games from a provided selection at rustic, long tables in the lodge lobby after our evening dinner. A can’t-miss tradition is the nightly campfire “S’morgasbord,” featuring the quintessential melty-gooey treat everyone loves.
Lisa Delaney
Bikes are available to rent for a fee—we took an e-bike right through the forest adjacent to the property—and you can arrange a special guided night hike for your group to see the stars. We weren’t able to experience the full splendor of the stars due to cloud cover, but the glimpses of the Big and Little Dipper we were able to catch made me determined to try again on a clear night next time I return.
Dining Options: From Fine Dining to PizzeriaTenaya at Yosemite offers a spot-on array of dining options for everyone from families with young kids to couples celebrating a special occasion.
Jackalope’s Bar & Grill has a casual vibe for a laid-back lunch or dinner. But I have to say, while the burgers, other handhelds and hearty lunch and dinner entrees such as Roasted Half Chicken and Herb Crusted Salmon are solid offerings, my favorite Jackalope’s meal was breakfast.
Because of our jam-packed itinerary, I relied on the grab-and-go options at the Explorer Clubhouse for a.m. eats until my final morning, when I faced a long day of travel home. I was able to fortify myself with scrambled eggs, gourmet cheeses and fresh fruit, along with the restaurant’s signature lavash flatbreads. Other options included make-your-own waffles, bacon and sausage, oatmeal and cold cereals, and of course a selection of bakery items. Shout-out to the Little Explorer dinner menu for kids not only for a great selection of choices (broccoli and beef and chicken teriyaki in addition to the usual burgers, pasta and chicken strips) but super-creative, interactive desserts like Paint-a-Bear (a Teddy-shaped Rice Krispies treat with chocolate, strawberry and peach “paint” sauces for the kids to apply as they wish) and a DIY-style Design-a-Cupcake, complete with frosting and sprinkles.
At Embers, the resort’s fine-dining restaurant, our group was treated to a selection of the restaurant’s favorites, served family style. The dinner was truly fabulous–from the Wild Mushroom & Truffle Flatbread (there’s a flatbread theme here) appetizer to the Pan-Seared Scallops, Shrimp Pappardelle and Wild Mushroom & Grilled Asparagus Risotto (I know … doubling up on the mushrooms but they were SO good), the selection was full of crowd pleasers. I’m not a meat-eater but my companions loved the New York strip steak, and despite our stretching stomachs, we all made room for at least a taste of the chef’s signature Warm English Sticky Toffee Pudding, a rich, gooey date cake with caramel sauce and whipped cream on the side.
The Lodge is home to Parkside Deli, where you can find grab-and-go coffees, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and an assortment of beverages, yogurt and other snacks. That made it easy for us to nosh on a little something before our packed days began.
Folks staying in the cottages have easy access to Timberland Pizzeria which, in addition to their cheesy pies, offers sandwiches, salads and pastas–perfect for a takeout night in after a long day of hiking, touring and other activities.
Ascent Spa & WellnessThere’s nothing I love more than an active vacation that allows you to work up a sweat, and then end your day with a bit of pampering in the form of a massage or facial. Ascent Spa & Wellness, tucked away in the Main Lodge, offers a long list of perks for guests seeking relaxation for no fee—including steam rooms and saunas, a relaxation room and fully equipped fitness center.
I ducked into a complementary yoga class with an obviously very experienced instructor who relocated to the area from Los Angeles. The experience was exactly what my body—and spirit—needed. In addition to traditional yoga asanas, we closed the session with a sound bowl meditation, which was so relaxing that I almost drifted off amid the soothing tones and vibrations.
For additional fees, guests can book a private yoga class or take advantage of relaxation and deep-tissue massages for individuals or couples, or a unique Immune-Boost Massage, featuring hot stone treatment (my favorite!) and essential oils that support the immune system. The limited facial menu includes the Eminence Custom Organic Facial, which uses the brand’s premium line of products. It was my introduction to the brand, and I loved the luxurious Lavender Age-Corrective Night Eye Cream and other products I sampled.

Touring the ParkWe navigated through Yosemite with the help of the Yosemite 360 Tours private tour service, available to book through the Tenaya concierge. As we neared the park, there was a brief wait at the gate before we could enter–nothing like the long lines that exist during the high-season months of June and July, according to our guide. (We visited in September, a relatively quiet time for tourism there.)
CLisa Delaney
Not only did the comfy Ford vans with oversized windows and a huge skylight for optimal tree-top and mountain viewing take the drive out of our hands, but our guide was an impressive source of information and entertainment during our ride to experience Yosemite highlights like Bridalveil Falls and Half Dome. She'd grown up in the park, the daughter of a a stunt rider in Westerns who relocated from LA to Yosemite after multiple visits and ended up running the stables that had housed 500 horses for recreational riding and Park Service monitoring in Yosemite Valley. She was able to show us the park through a true insider’s eyes, having even attended the elementary school smack dab in the middle of the park, which provides education for children of National Park Service and concessionaire employees.
Is Tenaya at Yosemite Pet-Friendly?As a proud pet parent myself, I was happy to see that Tenaya welcomes dogs for a flat fee, which covers up to two dogs. You can book a Fido-Friendly or Deluxe Pampered Pet package, which includes, among other amenities, the pet fee, lodging, poop bags, a lush dog bed for use during your stay and a toy for your fur baby.
The resort also offers pet-sitting and dog-walking services, as well as an off-leash play area. The resort’s Pet Concierge can help you plan pup-friendly activities on resort and in the park area.
The Verdict: Pros, Cons and Who It's Best ForI said it before and I'll say it again: It's tough to find any downsides to staying at Tenaya at Yosemite. But I'll go ahead and recap my honest assessment of the resort.
Pros- Incredible variety of lodging options, from the more traditional Lodge to the Explorer Cabins to the Cottage Rooms.
- Wide range of dining experiences, from grab-and-go and super-casual to special occasion, and everywhere in between.
- Availability and quality of on-resort amenities and activities, especially for families (including furry family members).
- Proximity to Yosemite National Park.
- Amazing attention to detail in everything from decor to little perks like s'mores at fireside, board games for use in the lobby area and extras for pets and their parents.
- The quality and enthusiasm of staff, including golf cart drivers, front desk attendees, waitstaff, yoga teachers, spa staff, hiking guides and tour guides.
- For guests staying in the Cottages and Explorer Cabins, it is a bit of a walk through to the Lodge to access most of the full-service dining options and the activities. Families with small children, and people with mobility issues—as well as anyone not up for a walk—can, though, arrange for golf cart transportation to and from. There can be a bit of a wait but if you plan ahead you won't have any trouble making your dinner reservations, spa appointments or tour pick ups.
- During the high season, lines to get into Yosemite's South Entrance can be as long as one to two hours—even longer on weekends and holidays. That, of course, is not something the Tenaya team can control. And our guide did suggest entering before 7:30 a.m. or after 4 p.m. for shorter waits. She also suggested visiting the park in May, when the valley is beginning to bloom and falls are flowing from the spring melt, before the high season of June-August.
- Anyone looking for comfortable, premium lodging in close proximity to the park
- Multigenerational family gatherings
- Friend groups who love active vacations with a bit of pampering on the side
- Families interested in instilling a love of nature, the outdoors and the environment in their children
I’ve made it to many of the most popular National Parks–backpacking in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, doing day trips in a handful of others. I’ve even camped at Phantom Ranch in the Grand Canyon after hiking down with an overloaded backpack, a more-grueling journey that any of the 10 marathons I’ve run in my life. As much as I'd never give up that experience, I'd much rather sleep with a roof over my head in a soft bed, and enjoy the kind of hospitality Tenaya at Yosemite offers. I'll return with my family—you can count on it.

'70s TV Star, Ranked Among ‘Greatest TV Characters of the 1970s,’ Became the King of Comebacks
Nearly four decades after his sitcom signed off, George Jefferson is still “movin’ on up” in television history.
This week, entertainment outlet Collider ranked George Jefferson from The Jeffersons among the greatest TV characters of the 1970s, placing the loud, ambitious businessman alongside icons from a decade that changed TV forever.
The recognition reminds fans why Sherman Hemsley’s performance remains one of the most unforgettable in prime-time history and why George Jefferson became the king of comebacks long after his original run ended.
George Jefferson first appeared on All in the Family before leading his own spinoff in 1975. Over 11 seasons and 253 episodes, The Jeffersons followed George and his wife Louise as they left Queens for a luxury high-rise in Manhattan after George’s dry-cleaning business became a success. The show aired its final episode on July 2, 1985, but the character never truly left television screens.
Sherman Hemsley as George Jefferson on "The Jeffersons," 1975.When The Jeffersons debuted, television was changing. The 1970s introduced more honest stories, bold humor and characters who reflected real social issues. George Jefferson stood out immediately.
He was brash. He was stubborn. He was loud. But he was also a proud, self-made Black entrepreneur who built a chain of seven dry-cleaning stores from the ground up. George challenged stereotypes. He argued. He bragged. He strutted. Yet audiences connected with him because his ambition was real.
As Time once described the character, he was “brash, arrogant, combative, swaggering, stubborn and refusing to suffer fools.” That sharp personality made him funny and unforgettable.
The sitcom, created by Norman Lear, tackled race and prejudice with humor. It also featured one of television’s first regular interracial couples, Helen and Tom Willis. Through it all, George’s energy powered the series.
Sherman Hemsley earned Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for the role and won an NAACP Image Award. Isabel Sanford, who played Louise “Weezy” Jefferson, made history in 1981 as the first Black actress to win the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
Even after CBS abruptly canceled the series without a proper finale, George Jefferson refused to fade away.
After The Jeffersons ended, Sherman Hemsley didn’t retire George Jefferson. He revived the character in guest spots on popular sitcoms, including The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Each time he returned, audiences welcomed him like an old friend.
Hemsley also starred in the hit sitcom Amen from 1986 to 1991, proving he could headline another successful series. He later appeared on shows such as Sister, Sister and Martin, while also lending his voice to animated projects.
The character’s influence also extended to his co-stars. Marla Gibbs, who played Florence, has continued acting for decades and is releasing her memoir, It’s Never Too Late, this year. The cast’s lasting careers reflect how powerful the show’s impact was.
Sherman Hemsley died in 2012 at age 74, but George Jefferson lives on in reruns and rankings like Collider’s latest list.
For viewers who grew up hearing the theme song “Movin’ On Up,” this new ranking feels like a victory lap. It confirms what fans have known for years: George Jefferson wasn’t just a sitcom character. He was a television milestone.

Tyson Apostol Says He Couldn't Handle Paul Abrahamian's 'Big Brother Energy' on 'House of Villains' (Exclusive)
If you're a huge reality TV fan like me and were hoping to see Survivor winner Tyson Apostol and Big Brother legend Paul Abrahamian team up on Season 3 of House of Villains, I have some bad news for you. As it turns out, they may actually be adversaries.
"First of all, Paul has very Big Brother-y energy, which really turns me off," Tyson exclusively tells Parade ahead of the premiere. "I don't know what it is about that loudness."
Tyson clocked a mutual distrust of each other pretty early on. "I know Paul's a gamer, and so when I am looking in his face, I can read that he's not buying my s--t, and I know that he can read me," he says. "And so I can read that he can read that I can read that he can read—it keeps going infinity, and it's like being in a hall of mirrors."
That "Big Brother energy" wasn't just about strategy either. "I live in a house of whispers," Tyson jokes. "So to go into a situation like this, where it's just like, there's one volume and it's 11—I have a hard time with that."
The three-time Survivor player also took issue with what he saw as a lack of basic social etiquette. "Paul also wore sunglasses more than he didn't and but not even cool ones," Tyson explains, adding that Paul would "keep pushing him down anytime you try to have a conversation." Apparently, the gesture was a dealbreaker: "I'm 46 I don't talk to people like that... that's a sign of disrespect is like tipping the glasses down."
For Paul, the "villain" label wasn't something he shied away from. "I feel like I had no choice but to feel like a villain," the two-time runner-up says of his time on the CBS reality show. "I got so much confusing feedback after my time on Big Brother that I was like, you know what, let's go. For sure, I could lean into the villain side, or I can lean out. So I chose to lean in."
In fact, he felt right at home in the House of Villains mansion. "I'm a huge fan of the fact that it's unserious and that I get to laugh at myself and be silly, and we can still compete for money, but nobody's gonna get their feelings hurt because we're all assholes," he tells Parade. "So I was like, Yeah, run it. Sign me up. Put me in there."
The divide in the house seems to fall between those playing logically and those playing emotionally. "I think in every game, it's it's petty or emotional, because you can't fully grasp what their next move is," Tyson notes. "When it's someone who's emotional or petty, you just it's so hard to navigate that… it nullifies the strategicness of all of it, because the strategic players can't move forward logically."
That's one thing they do seem to agree on. "Being petty is like kind of wild card-ish," Paul says. "At least you could some somewhat predict strategy, but somebody just being petty for the hell of it, no radar detected."
The first three episodes of House of Villains are now streaming on Peacock.

Betting Odds Just Revealed the Likely Winner of 'The Traitors' Season 4
As Season 4 of The Traitors barrels toward its finale, new betting odds are giving fans plenty to talk about, and they paint a very interesting picture of who may come out on top.
According to data from VegasInsider.com, Rob Rausch has emerged as the clear favorite to win the season. With odds sitting at -150, the implied probability suggests he has about a 60% chance of claiming victory.
Notably, Rob is also the only original Traitor still standing, which makes his path to the end all the more compelling for viewers who have watched the alliances shift week after week.
Trailing behind him is Eric Nam, who currently holds the second-best odds at +300, translating to a 25% implied probability. While not the frontrunner, Eric’s positioning signals that bettors believe he still has a realistic shot, especially given how unpredictable the game has proven to be.
Meanwhile, Maura Higgins sits further back with +900 odds and a 10% implied probability. Though those numbers are more modest, longtime fans of the show know that late-game twists can quickly reshape the outcome.
The odds also hint at a broader storyline: Team Traitors is favored to win overall, with odds of -200 and an implied probability of 67%. In a season filled with deception and dramatic banishments, that projection alone is enough to fuel speculation about how the final episodes may unfold.
One particularly intriguing prediction involves the season’s final "murder." Mark Ballas currently holds the highest odds of being the last contestant eliminated, at -120 (55% implied probability). Close behind is Johnny Weir, whose +185 odds give him a 35% implied probability. Fellow competitors Tara Lipinski and others trail further behind.
With loyalties constantly tested and suspicion running high, the only certainty is that fans shouldn’t expect a quiet finale.
Watch the season 4 final of The Traitors at 9 p.m. EST on Peacock.

'The Pitt' Actor's Behind-the-Scenes Look at Character's 'Gnarly Injury' Stuns Fans: 'That Took 2 Weeks?'
A guest-star on The Pittis giving fans a glimpse into how some of the magic is made on the Emmy-winning series that gives one of the most realistic looks at life in the emergency room.
Oliver Padre was featured in the seventh episode of season—aka, the 1 p.m. hour—last week, playing Hiro, the military police officer who was rushed in with off-duty Dr. Abbott after he was gravely injured during a "warehouse robbery gone sideways."
Hiro was dealing with a high-velocity gunshot to his neck, with his trachea, or airway, displaced through the open wound.
The actor took to TikTok in the days following his episode to share all of the off-camera work that went into make his character's storyline possible, which involved engineering an exact copy of himself and some expert makeup artistry from Academy Award-nominated makeup artist Thom Floutz, who applied, and then airbrushed and blended, a large prosthetic that made the actor seem like he had a giant hole in his neck.
The day-in-the-life style video began with the creative team making “a full-sized clone” of Padre by covering him in a green goop that formed a cast of his body. Several weeks later, a silicone manikin that “looked just like [him]” was ready for all of the gore of the trauma center.
Padre called his two weeks on set “seriously the best time of my life,” jokingly calling the faux body his stand-in—which, for all intents and purposes, it was!
@oliverpadreThat time my stand-in looked exactly like me!!! Haha shoutout to the one and only Thom Floutz for doing such an amazing job on me & my dummy! Such an Artist! “𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐢𝐭𝐭” Season 2 Ep7 “1:00pm” #ThePitt #Hiro #SpecialFX #specialfxmakeup #prostheticmakeup @warnerbrostv @HBO Max
♬ Music Instrument - Gerhard SiagianThe inside look at Padre's prosthetic process and the methodology for performing surgery on his character was eye-opening for fans who've "wondered how they did that," with one gushing, "How cool!" in the comments.
"Bro that is so dope!" someone else commended. "Thanks for sharing some bts of your time on the Pitt!"
"Your character had such a GNARLY injury," somebody else emphasized. "So cool to see how it came to be."
"Thank you for letting us see the magic," another agreed.
It also served as an unexpected insight into the filming timeline. Hiro didn't get too much screentime, but it took two weeks of filming for Padre and the team to pull it all together thanks to the prosthetics.
"That took two weeks??" one fan was surprised to hear, with Padre explaining, "anything that involves prosthetic make up will take longer and the director will always change things 😊."
Overall, he "had a blast" shooting the top-rated HBO Max series, despite how unsettling it was to see himself lying there—something another fan-favorite guest star can likely relate to. Ernest Harden Jr.made many emotional waves as Louie Cloverfield, a frequent flyer in the emergency room who died unexpectedly after completing his treatment. The actor's niece shared a video of him "casually watching himself die" after the episode aired, and we can only imagine the mind warp of watching yourself in such an unsettling scene.

‘Trashy’ ’80s Miniseries With TV’s Most Legendary Line Turns 42 Today
Back in 1983, people were obsessed with Michael Jackson’s Thriller, CBS’s Mash, and ABC’s Lace. But it’s the latter that’s making a lotta noise today.
A two-part miniseries, Lace stars a 19-year-old Phoebe Cates as Lili, a young actress whose search for her birth mother is narrowed to three women who were best friends in boarding school: One got pregnant, and the others made a pact to keep the baby secret for life. Co-stars include Bess Armstrong, Brooke Adams, Arielle Dombasle, and Angela Lansbury.
Two-part TV miniseries ‘Lace’ starring Phoebe Cates debuted on ABC 42 years ago today, February 26, 1984.

Based on the novel by Shirley Conran, Lace premiered on Feb. 26, 1983, on ABC, airing its second part the following night. The TV miniseries went on to become the highest-rated TV movie of the 1983-84 season, per The New York Times.
In 1993, TV Guide awarded the series’ iconic line, “Incidentally, which one of you b-tches is my mother?” the best line in television history.
Today, fans still can't get enough of the '80s glamour, soapy drama, scandalous plot, and two-part must-see TV format. Reliving it in its entirety, though, is a bit of a challenge. You can certainly find it unfolding via clips all over social media, but to watch the movie in full, you’ll have to drag out the DVD player after buying it on Amazon.
With Lace serving as Cates’ fifth screen project, the actress went on to star in Gremlins (1984), Heart of Dixie (1989), and Drop Dead Fred (1991). Following the success of Lace, a sequel was made and released in 1985. The next chapter sees Lili question the identity of her father.

HGTV Star Says Food Network Rejected Her Cooking Show Pitch — Here’s Why
HGTV personality Jenn Todryk, known for hosting No Reno Demo, revealed she wanted to be a Food Network star.
Entertainment Now reported that Todryk shared that she's had a deep desire to have a cooking show in a February 24 Instagram Story. According to Todryk, who began her career as an HGTV star when the first season of No Reno Demo premiered in 2021, she approached "the head of Food Network" to inquire about filming a series.
“Fun fact: I always wanted a cooking show. In fact, I went to the head of Food Network because I used to work with her when she was over at HGTV. I was like, ‘Girl, I want a cooking show.’ And I’m dead serious. And she was like, ‘Jenn, you’re not an expert. We cannot give you a Food Network show,'" shared Todryk in her Instagram video, per Entertainment Now.
She also said that she believes Food Network viewers would appreciate watching a non-professional chef.
“I was like, ‘Who wants an expert?! There’s so many of those!’ I don’t want an expert. I want to click on and I want to relate to the lady who worked today and is struggling to figure out what the heck to cook for dinner. The girl who loved cooking until she had a full family, who has very picky needs, and now she cooks because they have to live," said Todryk, who shares her three children, Von, Berkley, and Vivienne, with her husband, Mike Todryk.
Jenn Todryk Shared How She Got Her HGTV ShowIn a 2019 interview with DFW Child, Todryk explained how her viral blog, The Rambling Redhead, led her to getting an HGTV series. She shared that she started the blog around 2015 when she "was just kind of in a funk, a low point" after having her second child. She said after using the blog as "an outlet" for five weeks, one of her posts went "viral." She also suggested that she would share aspects of home design on her blog.
Todryk said that HGTV reached out to her in 2018 to offer her a show. According to Todryk, the network let her know that she wouldn't be responsible for finding clients or homes. Instead, she just had to host and show off her renovation skills.
"They came out to my house and shot right after that. It was from the very beginning quick, easy, painless. I just felt like God made it too easy. He was like, 'Here, dummy. I’m trying to get your attention.' It was a sign, and I did it, and it’s been great," said Todryk in the 2019 interview.
The third and most recent season of No Reno Demo ended in December 2023. Entertainment Now reported that Todryk stated her show has not been cancelled while recording a September 2025 episode of her podcast, You, Me, and Mike, co-hosted by her husband. According to Todryk, there's been a delay in filming because she wanted to "take a step back" while still having the show succeed.
“I basically had to come to the realization that I’m either all-in and I’m over everything or I don’t do it," said the 37-year-old social media star.
Martha Stewart Reveals She Feeds Her 7 Cats This Luxurious Treat
Martha Stewart’s pets live very well—and that includes what’s on the menu.
In an Instagram video shared Thursday, February 26, the lifestyle icon hosted luxe influencer Becca Bloom for what she described as a “nightcap.” The two sipped champagne and sampled caviar—something Bloom is known for indulging in her videos—while chatting about everything from skincare routines to their shared love of cats. But it was Stewart’s casual confession about her own feline household that caught viewers’ attention.
“Do your cats like caviar as much as my cats like caviar?” Stewart asked Bloom as she opened a tin of the delicacy.
View this post on InstagramBloom, known online as the “Queen of RichTok,” didn’t hesitate. “He would eat this entire plate if he was here,” she replied, referring to her Scottish Fold, Oscar.
Many fans expressed their joy about the crossover, leaving their thoughts in the comments.
“Love that the universe brought these two together,” one fan said, while another agreed, “A crossover I so didn’t expect 😍😍.”
Another begged, “Omg!!! Please have a show ❤️❤️❤️❤️Two of my favorite unapologetic woman living there best (smart) lives.”
“‘Do your cats like caviar as as much as my cats like caviar,’ Is the richest thing I’ve ever heard someone genuinely ask,” a third noted.
Stewart, a longtime animal lover, owns seven cats and five dogs—and apparently, her cats have developed a taste for the finer things, much like herself. Oscar is no stranger to luxury either. In previous videos, Bloom has documented elaborate meals for him featuring sushi-grade salmon, tuna bone broth, salmon roe caviar “for seasoning,” a soft-boiled quail egg and even edible flowers for presentation. It’s safe to say there’s no kibble involved for these felines.
The cat chat comes just after Stewart’s latest international gig. The homemaker was in Milan alongside longtime collaboratorSnoop Dogg, serving as special correspondents for NBC during the 2026 Winter Games. The pair have covered figure skating events, visited iconic sites like La Scala Opera House and dined at some of the city’s top restaurants.
“I trust Martha. Martha always tells me what to do and how to do it,” Snoop said on the TODAY Show. “She takes me to the next level. She brings me to the upper echelons of the world.”
And just one day after the gig, Stewart shared a photo of her and Snoop in front of the Duomo di Milano, rocking similar tracksuits.
So whether she’s covering the Olympics or hosting a nightcap at home, one thing is clear: Martha (and her cats) have impeccable taste.
Marty Supreme’s Odessa A’zion Reveals 3 Artists She Has on Repeat Right Now
Who doesn’t get excited when talking about music? During a new segment of Elle’s “Ask Me Anything,” the Marty Supreme actress was asked to name three artists that she has on repeat right now.
“Can I grab my phone?” A’zion, 25, replied. “I mean, I always have ABBA on repeat. All the time. And yes, I am aware that some people say ‘AB-AH,’ OK? It will always only ever be ‘AH-BAH.’
After listing her first artist, A’zion went a little off script and proceeded to name a whole host of musicians across various genres.
“Lou Reed, Led Zeppelin. Oh, been listening to a lot of Alex G., Elliot Smith, Cigarettes After Sex, Bee Gees, New Order, The Smiths, Nico, Suicide, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Sufjan Stevens — is it ‘Suf-yan’ or ‘Suf-jan’? A’zion listed.
She continued, “Bon Iver — does anyone say ‘Bon Eye-ver’? Beach House. Oh, Lana Del Rey. Oh, Funkadelic. When in Rome. Oh! Lily Allen. Smashed it with that last album. OK, I’ll stop. Sorry, sorry.”

(Photo by JC Olivera/Variety via Getty Images)Despite some hiccups with pronunciation, it’s very clear that A’zion loves a little bit of everything, and it didn’t take long for fans to notice.
“She’s got great taste in music,” one user commented via TikTok. “Some of these artists have changed my life,” added another.
“She named way more than three! But we’ll give her a pass for the good taste,” a third user chimed in, while a fourth echoed, “It’s impossible to name just three, I get it.”
Though A'zion, who is the daughter of award-winning actress Pamela Adlon, has been in Hollywood for some time, she’s stepped further into the spotlight in recent months after appearing in A24’s Marty Supreme alongside Timothée Chalamet and HBO’s I Love L.A. alongside Rachel Sennott.
Psychologist Reveals That People Who Always Let Dirty Dishes Pile Up Might Also Have These 7 Traits
Some argument-sparking tendencies are tales as old as time: Putting the cap back on the toothpaste, deciding which way the toilet paper roll should go (over or under) and whether or not it's OK to let dirty dishes pile up in the sink until you get around to washing them (or loading the dishwasher if you have one). Let's stick with the last one. Which team are you in: Pro-pile-up or anti-pile-up? Your answer may reveal a surprising amount about your personality, along with your current season and outlook on life.
"Our daily habits are tiny windows into our nervous system, stress levels and emotional bandwidth," points out Dr. Crystal Saidi, Psy.D., a licensed psychologist with Thriveworks. "The dishes are not just about cleanliness but often about capacity. When someone regularly lets dishes pile up, it does not necessarily mean they are lazy. It is usually indicative of a deeper issue, such as feeling overwhelmed."
Now, we're not aiming to shame or overstate what it says about you if you leave dirty dishes in the sink (or a partner or roommate does). As Dr. Saidi has explained, sometimes you can't help it. There are also times when you may need to keep this habit, and she shares a few of the circumstances below.
Instead, the goal of this piece is to use the habit of letting dishes pile up to reflect on what's going on for you now and whether you might benefit from making shifts, including seeking therapy, recalibrating the division of labor in your home or outsourcing help. Scroll on to see the seven traits of people who always let dirty dishes pile up in the sink.

7 Traits of People Who Always Let Dirty Dishes Pile Up, According to a Psychologist1. Mental overloadIf you leave dirty dishes in the sink all the time, it may not be a sign of laziness. You actually might have a lot going on at the moment, and it can go to your head.
"Your brain may be juggling too many tabs," Dr. Saidi states. "When this happens, even simple tasks can feel heavy because your nervous system is already maxed out."
Related: How To Deal With Burnout, According to a Psychologist
During a good season, doing the dishes may be easy-peasy. However, in the middle of what feels like an eternal winter—such as caring for a chronically ill child or parent—even easy choices can feel impossible.
"By the end of the day, your ability to make even tiny choices can feel depleted," Dr. Saidi reports.
It's possible that you actually despise having dirty dishes in the sink but can't bring yourself to deal with them. It's worth considering if you struggle to tackle stress head-on.
"The mere sight of dishes triggers guilt or shame, such as 'I should’ve done this sooner,'
Dr. Saidi states. "Your nervous system responds by avoiding the task altogether.
Related: 8 Signs You’re Actually Too Critical of Your Partner, Psychologists Warn
This one may surprise you because not cleaning plates and silverware can feel like a character flaw. Yet, Dr. Saidi suggests considering whether perfectionism is holding you back. A telltale sign?
"If you cannot do it 'perfectly'—all at once or the 'right way'—your brain says, 'don’t do it at all,” she notes. "Thus, nothing gets started."
Honestly, this trait is one of the most common—and, frankly, understandable—traits and reasons.
"If you spend all day caring for others, such as kids, patients, clients and elders, your internal tank may be empty by the time you get home," Dr. Saidi explains.
Related: 9 Subtle Signs of ‘Analysis Paralysis,’ According to a Harvard University Fellow
This one is more of a potential mental health diagnosis than a trait, but Dr. Saidi shares it's crucial to mention because letting go of household tasks is a potential sign of depression.
"You may be experiencing depression, which feels like quiet heaviness," she states. "The energy and motivation are just not there."
Related: 7 Signs of ‘High-Functioning Depression,’ According to a Columbia-Trained Psychiatrist
Mental overload and caregiving can all be in service of others (including bosses and colleagues who need you to "see about the catering" or dump last-minute tasks on you). As a result, chores can fall by the wayside.
"Your needs always fall to the bottom of the list, including your home environment," Dr. Saidi shares.
Related: 9 Things Children of Narcissistic Parents Often Struggle With as Adults, According to Psychologists
As mentioned before, just as there are traits or reasons why someone might put off doing dishes, sometimes there are valid reasons for dirty dishes to pile up. These are those instances:
1. IllnessPhysical health is draining (mentally as well), and you may not have the capacity to push dishes off your to-do list.
"When your body hurts, your brain tends to conserve energy," Dr. Saidi points out. "Dishes don’t quite seem as urgent when survival mode is activated."
Your mental health matters, too, and you deserve self-compassion when you see a skyscraper of plates in your sink.
"These are all life transitions and events that activate the nervous system," Dr. Saidi explains. "Your brain is adapting to huge emotional shifts, and daily functioning may temporarily dip."
Mobility issues can make it impossible to clean plates. Point, blank, period.
"Tasks that others may take for granted can become extremely taxing and difficult when dealing with chronic conditions or mobility issues," Dr. Saidi notes.
Treat yourself with kindness as you grapple with and hopefully accept your limitations. It's OK to rely on support for loved ones or outsource your chores without shame.

Maddox Jolie Drops Pitt From His Name, Following Siblings' Lead
Maddox, the eldest child of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has apparently become the latest member of the family to drop Pitt from their name. According to PEOPLE, Jolie's film, Couture, debuted in theaters in France on Feb. 18. When the credits rolled, the 24-year-old, who worked as the third assistant director on the film, was listed as Maddox Jolie.
It's unclear if he legally dropped Pitt from his name. When Couture premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in September 2025, the Press Materials showed his name as Maddox Jolie, as well. However, he is still listed as Maddox Jolie-Pitt under cast & crew on the film's IMDb page. He was also still listed as Jolie-Pitt when he worked as a production assistant on Jolie's 2024 Netflix film, Maria.
Maddox is the oldest of six siblings, and the fourth to drop Pitt from their name. In Nov. 2023, Zahara joined the sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha at Spelman College. During the ceremony, Essencefilmed the 21-year-old introducing herself as Zahara Marley Jolie.
In May 2024, Vivienne, along with Jolie, was one of the co-producers for the musical production of The Outsiders. The 17-year-old was listed in the program as Vivienne Jolie.
That same month, Shiloh turned 18. Just days after her birthday, she filed to legally change her name to Shiloh Jolie. While Pitt didn't personally respond to requests for comment, a source told Us Weekly that he wasn't ready to give up on them, "but knowing his children are dropping his last name is upsetting."
While Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, and Vivienne have all taken steps to distance themselves from their father's name, 22-year-old Pax and 17-year-old Knox still have the Jolie-Pitt moniker.
In 2024, Pax was involved in a pretty bad e-bike accident, which saw him end up in the ICU for about a week. Six months later, he got into another e-bike accident, crashing into the passenger side of a car. Most recently, he turned up at the Sundance Film Festival for a private screening of Self Custody with the film's directors.
Knox tends to stay out of the limelight, instead focusing on his Muay Thai. In 2016, he did get a part in his mom's film, Kung Fu Panda 3. He voiced Ku ku, one of the young pandas.
