Popular Protein-Packed Refrigerator Staple Is Being Recalled at Walmart Stores For a Serious Health Reason
Like it or not (and absolutely no one likes it), food recalls are a weekly, sometimes daily, occurrence. And with a new one making headlines, it's a good reminder to do that quick fridge sweep we all tend to put off. Before you plan tonight's dinner or scoop something into your lunch container tomorrow, take a second to double-check what's sitting on your shelves.
This time around, the recall involves select lots of cottage cheese produced by Saputo Cheese USA Inc. (SUSA) and sold under Walmart's Great Value label. It's the kind of everyday staple many of us grab without a second thought, which is exactly why it's worth paying attention to. Even if you only buy cottage cheese occasionally, now's the moment to glance at the container, check the details, and make sure you're in the clear to include it in your next meal.
Here's what's happening: On Feb. 24, SUSA put a voluntary recall in place for certain cottage cheese products after realizing some of the liquid dairy ingredients used in its production may not have been fully pasteurized to state standards. The good news? There haven't been any reported illnesses connected to the recall. Still, dairy that isn't fully pasteurized can pose real health risks. The issue was uncovered during a routine equipment inspection done in partnership with the California Department of Food and Agriculture.
FDA
As mentioned above, the affected products were sold under Walmart's Great Value label and shipped to Walmart stores and distribution centers across more than 20 states between Feb. 17 and Feb. 20, 2026. The states that received product include Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Tennessee, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

Which Great Value Cottage Cheese Is Included in the Recall?Cottage cheese comes in several different varieties, so what you have in your fridge may or may not be a part of this particular issue.
The recall covers a few different Great Value small curd cottage cheese types and sizes. That includes the 24-ounce Fat Free (zero percent milkfat) containers with UPC 078742373393 and "Best If Used By" dates of April 1 or April 3, 2026, as well as the 24-ounce Lowfat (2 percent milkfat) version, UPC 078742116730, dated April 1, 2 or 3, 2026.
Also affected are the 4 percent milkfat minimum small curd options: the 16-ounce container (UPC 078742372358) with a best-by date of April 2, 2026; the 24-ounce size (UPC 078742372365) dated April 2 or April 3, 2026; and the three-pound container (UPC 078742147970) with best-by dates of April 1 or April 2, 2026. If any of those details match what's in your fridge, it's best not to take any chances.
If you purchased a product that is listed in the recall, return it to Walmart for a full refund.

Pro Climber Alex Honnold Gets Uncomfortably Real About Pooping While 'Hanging'
Alex Honnold isn't scared to take on insane climbs like the 2,900-foot El Capitan with no ropes or safety gear or the 101-story Taipei 101 skyscraper in Taiwan, and he's not scared to talk bathroom habits while "hanging," either.
"How do you pee and poop when you climb?" comedian Hasan Minhaj asked on the Feb. 25 episode of his Hasan Minhaj Doesn't Know podcast, and he wasn't ready for the simple but surprising answer: "You just pee and poop," said the 40-year-old athlete.

"You s--t your pants?!" asked the horrified host. "I've never actually s--t in my pants, but I've had a lot of like serious emergencies while rock climbing," said the Free Solo star. "You just like, freaking go."
"But you're in nature, it doesn't matter. You just make sure you're not impacting other climbers," he added. Honnold explained that he's had "a couple" of seriously "dramatic" bowel movements on the cliffs, including during a bought with parasitic Giardia.
View this post on Instagram"There's been like, one-handed, hanging on the side of a cliff, taking a dump [moments ,]" he admitted. A stunned Minhaj couldn't help muttering "gross" in response. "When it happens, it happens," Honnold clapped back. "It's better than pooping your pants."
Fans had mixed reactions to the admission, while some were disgusted, others were impressed. "I hate this. Making light of violating Leave No Trace like this will send the wrong message to young climbers and have a seriously negative impact on our environment," said one frustrated follower, while a fan said, "He was honest and frank about it at least. He is unapologetically who he is. Love that." A third added, "This is a top 5 interview clip of all time."
Honnold is known for pushing the limits of free solo climbing, and in 2017, he made history with the first-ever free solo ascent of El Capitan’s Freerider route in Yosemite National Park, which many consider the among the greatest athletic achievements of all time. The climb was documented in the Academy Award–winning film Free Solo. He gripped the world again in January 2026, when he scaled the massive Taipei 101 building in the same manor, which took him an hour and a half and was livestreamed as a major event on Netflix.
Khloé Kardashian Reveals Her Kids ‘Don’t Have the Internet in Any Way’
In today’s digital age, it’s not uncommon for a lot of young kids to have access to the internet, cell phones, and social media. In Khloé Kardashian’s household, however, she’s not quite ready to have her kids, True and Tatum Thompson, surfing the web or scrolling through TikTok just yet.
“They should not be on social media, in my opinion,” Kardashian, 41, said during Wednesday, February 25, episode of her Khloé in Wonderland podcast. “They don’t need to know about the internet.”
Considering Tatum is 3 years old, he’s not exactly broaching those subjects with his mama. However, Kardashian’s daughter, True, is turning 8 years old this April, so she’s a bit more aware.
“I told her we can discuss her getting a phone on her 12th birthday. That doesn’t mean she’ll get social media. That means she gets a phone. I don’t think kids should have social media until, I mean, I would love 16 [or] 17, but a phone we’re discussing on her 12th birthday,” Kardashian explained.

The longtime reality star’s little ones “don’t have the internet in any way,” she said. “My kids don’t have Google. They don’t have anything like that.”
As a result, True and Tatum, whom Kardashian shares with ex Tristan Thompson, “don’t know” that she’s famous. “That’s because I’m not sitting at home being like, ‘I’m famous, everyone.’ I don’t talk about being famous. It’s not ever something we talk about.”
Kardashian also revealed that her kids have “never seen” The Kardashians, despite being a part of the show.

Certain kitchen habits feel a little controversial or awkward until you actually try them. Cutting a pizza with scissors is one of those things. It sounds odd, maybe even wrong, until you’re standing over a hot pizza with a dull knife or a missing pizza wheel, and very little patience.
In my house, pizza cutters have a mysterious habit of vanishing. We’ve lost at least seven over the past 14 years, and at this point, it’s become a running joke that I’m secretly hiding them. I’m not, but I do buy my husband a new one every Christmas as a gag, because somehow they never stick around. One night, when yet another cutter went missing, we grabbed a pair of kitchen scissors out of sheer necessity.
And I never went back.
My husband still uses a standard pizza wheel, but scissors are now my go-to, and I'm not alone. Lots of people, including content creator BigBeauBrown, prefer using scissors to cut pizza. If this seems like a controversial opinion, let me try and convince you that the next time you pull a pizza out of the oven, you should reach for scissors first.

Using scissors to slice through a pizza is simple. All you do is lift up the edge of the crust, slip the scissors under, and snip toward the center of the pie. If you're cutting a pizza with a puffy crust, some pizza purists suggest inserting the bottom blade into the middle of the crust, then snipping down through the crust so as not to crush it.
In my house, we have lots of hungry kids and are usually eating a frozen pizza, so we tend not to be particularly precise about our snipping technique. For us, it's all about speed.
Tip .n5 by #maestrovitoiacopelli This is how to properly cut with scissors ✂️ #howtodo #howtomake #how #howtomakepizza #pizza
♬ suono originale - Maestro Vito iacopelli 6 Reasons You Should Cut a Pizza With ScissorsMy switch to scissors started in a moment of desperation, but they soon became my go-to pizza tool. Why? Let me count the ways.
Courtesy Angel Albring
1. You have more controlFirst of all, scissors shine when it comes to control. You can cut straight down through the crust and toppings without pushing everything forward or tearing the cheese. This is especially helpful when you're cutting through thin crusts and pizzas with lots of toppings that tend to slide.
2. They make quick work of crispy crustsI often make gluten-free frozen pizzas, and the crust texture is different, usually crisper, sometimes tougher and not always pizza-cutter-friendly. Scissors handle that hearty texture with ease, without dragging the toppings or mangling the slices. If you're a fan of thin and crispy regular pizza, the same idea applies.
3. They're easy and efficientIf you've never used scissors to cut pizza, you might think it would be awkward, but it's surprisingly simple and efficient. You don't have to saw through slices or press down hard. Just snip, snip, snip and you're done!

@bigbeaubrownDo you use scissors to cut your pizza?
♬ original sound - BigBeauBrown 4. They're great for all types of pizzasFor rectangular or flatbread-style frozen pizzas, scissors are especially effortless. I recently used them to cut leftover pizza into cubes for pizza croutons and it was super simple!
5. They work better than a chef's knifeA sharp chef’s knife can work on almost any style of pizza, but it’s inconsistent because it may not be sharp or large enough. On thin or crispy frozen pizzas, knives often crush the crust before slicing through it, and that makes a mess. Plus, with a knife, slices aren’t always clean. Knives sometimes do better with thicker crusts than the scissors do, but even then, you’ll likely need a steady hand and multiple passes to get even slices.
6. They're sharper and sturdier than a pizza wheelPizza wheels are fast and familiar, but they’re not foolproof. If the blade isn’t razor-sharp, it can tear instead of cutting your pies, and you usually have to make more than one pass over the pizza. I have broken a number of them, as well, so that's also a concern. I've had neither of these issues when I've used scissors to cut my pizza.

What Scissors Are Best for Cutting Pizza?I always reach for my standard kitchen shears, but the folks who like to use scissors for cutting pizza are an enthusiastic bunch, so of course, there are scissors designed specifically for slicing through your pies.
You have lots of options, but the Loftern Pizza Scissors, which cost around $20, are a popular model on Amazon. People like the flat base and the high-set handles, which help make snipping simpler. The scissors are also good for cutting bread, bagels, fruit and more.

Aviation Gin Just Launched an 'Innovative' New Flavor That Fans Say They 'Definitely Need to Try'
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
Gin is officially having its moment. Although by and large, vodka, more specifically Tito's, holds the title of being the highest-grossing liquor of choice in the United States, gin is jockeying for its rightful place as a staple in your liquor cabinet. The herbaceous juniper-forward spirit is experiencing a "gin-aissance" of sorts, and everyone from Hendrick's and Boatyard Double Gin to Empress 1908 is cashing in on the surge.
While it's hard to pinpoint exactly what's driving the uptick, some research suggests that although people are drinking less on average, they're choosing more premium spirits with complex flavor profiles, like gin instead. It's a cornerstone of mixology and makes a great base for cocktails, whether you want a simple gin and tonic or something more involved like a Singapore sling. You can sip it on its own or take the time to highlight one of the many botanical tasting notes distilled into the crystal clear liquid. Truly, gin was made for this moment.

But beyond just shifting consumer behavior, what really seems to be driving gin's dazzling ascent is brands' decision to innovate the spirit in ways we've never seen before. The latest innovation comes to us from Ryan Reynolds' co-owned Aviation American Gin, and judging by the initial response from fans, you'll definitely want to snag a bottle of this one before it goes out of stock. In the most Ryan Reynolds way possible, the brand announced the release of its first-ever flavored gin, Aviation American Gin Cranberry & Blood Orange.

He then introduces AVO, "a state-of-the-art robotic humanoid engineered to be your home mixologist." Hilariously, AVO then begins to make a cocktail in shockingly abhorrent fashion before Ryan reveals that it "turned out to obviously be a person in a suit," prompting the brand to innovate again and create the new cranberry and blood orange flavor.

Fans immediately took to the comments to say that the new offering "looks and sounds absolutely delicious," and that it's definitely on their shopping list. Bias as a gin lover aside, I have to agree. The new ruby red liquid builds on Aviation's existing botanical profile by adding juicy cranberry and bold blood orange to create an expression that's practically begging to be made into a cocktail. It also marks the brand's first-ever foray into creating additional flavors since Aviation American Gin was first founded nearly 20 years ago.
Although it's the first-ever permanent addition to the Aviation Gin lineup, hopefully, it isn't the last. And maybe AVO will get an update, too. If you're interested in trying the bold new offering, you can use the store locator on the brand's website to find out where it's in stock near you. Now, if you'll excuse us, AVO is on the fritz again.

Shia LaBeouf Flees Courthouse Media After $100K Bond Set
Shia LaBeouf is not sticking around for questions.
Just moments after appearing in court in New Orleans on Thursday, February 26, the 39-year-old actor was seen jogging away from reporters gathered outside the courthouse. In video captured by local outlet WDSU, LaBeouf moved quickly down the street as members of the media attempted to follow him.
The hurried exit came after a judge set a $100,000 bond and ordered the actor back to drug and alcohol rehabilitation following his recent Mardi Gras arrest.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, officers responded around 12:45 a.m. to reports of a disturbance at a Royal Street business. Police said LaBeouf was “causing a disturbance and becoming increasingly aggressive at a Royal Street business,” per Associated Press.
When a staff member tried to remove him, authorities allege he used “his closed fists on the victim several times.” Officers further stated, “The victims reported that LaBeouf left, but then came back, acting even more aggressive.”

Upon release, he was arrested and charged with two counts of simple battery.”
The judge also ordered weekly drug testing as part of Thursday’s proceedings.
The day after his arrest, LaBeouf posted a brief message on X at approximately 2 a.m.: “Free me.” He was also spotted celebrating Mardi Gras hours earlier—and later seen getting close with a mystery brunette during a night out at a bar near Bourbon Street. The pair reportedly spent nearly an hour together on an upstairs balcony, where they stood hand in hand, leaned in to talk and shared several kisses.
LaBeouf has faced prior legal issues, including a 2020 misdemeanor battery and theft charge. His representatives have not commented on the latest case.
Oscar-Nominated ’80s Star to Lead ‘The Magnificent Seven’ TV Series
Matt Dillon is heading back to the frontier.
MGM+ announced that Dillon will star in and executive produce its upcoming eight-episode drama series The Magnificent Seven, a reimagining of the classic 1960 Western film. Production is targeted to begin in June 2026 in Calgary.
Dillon will reprise the iconic role of Chris Adams, originally played by Yul Brynner. In the new series, Adams becomes the leader of seven gunslingers who agree to protect a peaceful Quaker village after it is massacred by mercenaries working for a ruthless land baron intent on stealing their land.
Set in the turbulent 1880s American frontier, the series follows the seven mercenaries as they embed themselves in the village and prepare for an inevitable showdown. Along the way, they wrestle with a central moral question: Is violence acceptable to defend people whose faith is rooted in nonviolence?
The series is written and executive produced by Tim Kring, known for Heroes, alongside executive producers Donald De Line, Lawrence Mirisch, Bruce Kaufman and Dillon himself. MGM+ Studios and MGM Television Studios are producing.
“Matt Dillon brings extraordinary depth and gravitas to this iconic role,” said Michael Wright, global head of MGM+. “His ability to portray complex, morally conflicted characters makes him the perfect choice to lead our reimagining of The Magnificent Seven.”
Dillon’s career spans more than three decades, from his breakout in The Outsiders to an Oscar-nominated turn in Crash and his comedic role in There’s Something About Mary. He most recently appeared in Apple TV+’s High Desert.
The new The Magnificent Seven will stream on MGM+ in the United States, the United Kingdom and multiple international territories.

Is Sophie Pregnant in 'Bridgerton' Season 4? Her Relationship Timeline Explained
[WARNING! This article spoils the events of Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2, now available for streaming on Netflix. Please do not read further if you do not intend to know what happens in Episodes 5-8.]
So far, every Bridgerton couple has introduced a new child to the growing family, with fans questioning if Sophie (Yerin Ha) was supposedly pregnant during Season 4 Part 2. Looking back at the second half of the season may reveal certain clues on whether or not it's true.
Bridgerton Season 4 introduced more than a few welcome and adorable additions to the family. Not only did Penelope (Nicola Coughlin) and Colin (Luke Newton) have a son, but so did Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley) while they were away in India. With the series not lacking in steamy sex scenes, it begs the question of whether Sophie and Benedict (Luke Thompson) are awaiting an heir, and it's certainly a topic of conversation in Part 2.
Is Sophie pregnant with Benedict's child? The series does reveal and confirm that Sophie isn't pregnant in Part 2, but the possibility is heavily hinted at. While the series deviates from the novel, Sophie and Benedict do have their first intimate scene in Episode 5 after Benedict confesses his love for Sophie for the first time. The following morning, in a new episode, Sophie is hurrying to leave and tells Benedict that she hasn't agreed to be with him and could be pregnant with a child. To which she says she would then actually have to be his mistress.
Fans later see Sophie in her room, taking out her journal/calendar and marking the day she had intercourse with Benedict. It then reveals the following week and an "X" to signify her time of the month meant to arrive on the eighth. Sophie says to herself that she has eight days to know if she's pregnant and her future with Benedict.
Midway through Episode 6, Sophie realizes in her journal that she is well past eighth, hinting that she could be pregnant. Fans are then again to believe the possibility when she feels nauseous at the whiff of pigeon stew, and rubs her stomach while folding linens.

In the steamy bathtub scene, the idea of Sophie being pregnant is dangled in front of fans once again when she says she can't risk it. Is she? It becomes unlikely when the two engage in a jaw-dropping scene that leads to the idea of a child in her womb, a simple, fleeting thought.
It's also confirmed later in Episode 6 when the two are alone in the greenhouse, and Sophie tells Benedict is interviewing for the position at Penwood House. She reveals to him that "I am not with child. I never was apparently, my courses returned last night."
Was she telling the truth? It's more than likely, as the conversation isn't brought up again for the rest of Part 2, and the post-credit scene doesn't show her with a child. In the original novels, they do end up having four children, and even name one child Violet.
Emma Stone and Chris Pine Set To Star in New Rom-Com
Sources told Deadline on Thursday that Universal's upcoming romantic comedy titled The Catch will star Emma Stone and Chris Pine. The film will be directed by Dave McGary, Stone's husband, and the script was written by Patrick Kang and Michael Levin. Producers credited include Stone, McCary, Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, Michael H. Weber and Ali Herting.
As of now, plot details remain unknown, and the project is still in the very early stages of pre-production. If a deal does close, this would likely be the next film the La La Land actress shoots. Stone's most recent movie with director Yorgos Lanthimos, Bugonia, has been a success and earned four nominations at the 98th Academy Awards. Meanwhile, Pine recently starred in and produced the romantic drama Carousel, which was released last month.
Several high-profile actors were eyeing the opposite role once it got around that Stone would be working on it. The role ended up going to Pine, who landed it after many meetings with executive producers. This will be the first time the two actors will be working together.
Chris Pine and Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs announce Emma Stone as a nominee for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in the film 'Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)' at the 87th Academy Awards Nominations Announcement at the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater on January 15, 2015 in Beverly Hills, California.Stone grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona and started acting in local theater productions before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a professional career. In 2011, she starred in the rom-com Crazy, Stupid, Love and The Help, before gaining wider recognition as Gwen Stacy in Marc Webb's Spider-Man films alongside Andrew Garfield.
In the mid 2010s, Stone started playing more serious roles, including Sam Thomson, a recovering drug addict in Birdman (or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), which earned her first Oscar nomination in 2014, and Abigail Hill in the period film The Favourite. She has two Academy Awards for Best Actress, thanks to her roles in La La Land (2016) and Poor Things (2023), and is nominated for a third for Bugonia.

Kirk in the Star Trek films, which started in 2009. On This Day in 1983, a No. 66 Debut Sparked a Music Revolution
Before he became a legend, on February 26, 1983, Prince quietly debuted at number 66 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Within months, “Little Red Corvette” would become Prince's first Top 10 hit. It became one of the first videos by a Black artist to receive heavy rotation on MTV, helping transform the network’s early rock-heavy programming.
As Paisley Park noted on Facebook, "Little Red Corvette" was the second single from Prince's 1999 album. It was the first song of Prince's to climb to the Top 10 on the U.S. charts, and it eventually rose to number 6 on Billboard's Hot 100. In 1983, the song spent a total of 22 weeks on the chart.
Not only did "Little Red Corvette" become popular internationally at the time of its release, but the song popped back onto the charts again after Prince's April 2016 death.
At the time of the release of "Little Red Corvette," MTV typically focused on rock music and white artists. In a 1983 interview with MTV News, icon David Bowie made an observation that "Little Red Corvette" helped shift. Bowie stated, "I'm just floored by the fact that there's so few Black artists featured on it." He questioned, "Why is that?"
1999 was Prince's fifth album, but his previous releases only had moderate success beyond his hardcore fans. As Prince fans know, he embraced edgy lyrics that weren't necessarily a fit for mainstream radio.
"Little Red Corvette" still had sultry themes, but it became a breakthrough hit for Prince. It catapulted him to stardom and combined pop and R&B in a way that artists hadn't accomplished before.
In an interview with the BBC, Prince's former keyboard player Lisa Coleman shared the truth about the history of the song. For years, the story was that Prince thought of the opening lines of "Little Red Corvette" after he fell asleep in the back of Coleman's car.
Coleman told the media outlet that the story was somewhat true. However, the real story was far spicier. Coleman said that the car in question was a 1964 pink and white Mercury Montclair, not a red Corvette.
In addition, Coleman explained, the lines were inspired by Prince spending some intimate time with Denise Matthews (who became a star as Vanity) in the backseat of the Montclair. "I even found some of her hair wrapped around the handle that winds the window down," Coleman revealed.
"So I imagine they were making out, or doing whatever, in the back seat and they probably had a wonderful moment of afterglow, which is when he got the seed of the idea," she added.
Coleman also noted that she immediately knew "Little Red Corvette" would be special. "It was pure hit material," she shared.
What began as a quiet mid-list debut on the Billboard Hot 100 ultimately redefined Prince’s career and expanded what mainstream pop sounded like. More than four decades later, “Little Red Corvette” proves that even modest chart debuts can leave a lasting impact.
Alysa Liu's Hairstylist is Booked and Busy After Iconic Look Goes Viral
Winter Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu has garnered attention for her bold halo-dye hairstyle. Liu, an American figure skater, has become an overnight sensation for her Olympic win this month, stunning audiences with her fabulous routine and extroverted personality.
Her alternative look was brought to reality by hairstylist mastermind Kelsey Miller. In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, the hairdresser admits that ever since Liu's social media fame, her calendar has been booked with clients attempting to recreate the dye job.
"It's been so surreal right now, all the attention that I've gotten from doing this,” said Miller. "I have definitely been receiving lots of new clients right now. My books are filling up—they are booking even into the summer and fall time."

Miller, a cosmetologist at Thirteenth and Washington Salon went on to predict the start of a new trend. With countless DMs asking for tips on recreations, Miller suggests it's only a matter of time before we start seeing the hairstyle repeated.
"I think you're definitely going to start seeing more people wanting this,” Miller said. “It's obviously a unique clientele that can rock this type of a look … but I've gotten some DMs from people who are asking about it and even kind of wanted to switch up the colors of the halos that she did.”
An Instagram post showcasing Liu's appointment with Miller was posted last month, just weeks before she arrived in Milan for the games. Since Liu won gold, the reel has garnered nearly 1 million likes from Olympic fanatics. Fans took to the comments to rave about the Olympian's iconic look.

At $6.99 for an eight-count package, the value is hard to ignore, especially when a single coffee shop muffin can cost nearly as much. For family mornings, office breakfasts, or anyone who likes to keep something comforting on hand, the price makes it easy to justify picking up a pack during the weekly Costco run.
Costco’s New Coffee Cake Muffins Bring Familiar Comfort and Classic FlavorCoffee cake has long been a comfort staple, known for its tender crumb, warm cinnamon notes, and buttery streusel topping. That contrast between a soft interior and lightly crisp topping is part of what makes this classic breakfast favorite so enduring. Baking experts at King Arthur Baking Company highlight this balance of texture as key to its appeal, and the company knows the style well. Its Ultimate Coffee Cake was even named “Recipe of the Year” in 2023, underscoring just how beloved this cozy classic remains.
That same sense of familiarity helps explain why bakery-style muffins stay in steady rotation at Costco. The bakery has built a reputation for generous portions and quality, with seasonal flavors that remain familiar and easy to share.
