1995 Film Named One of 'Best Comedies Ever' Returning 31 Years Later

Thu, 07/30/2026 - 12:29pm

Clueless is getting a sequel!

The 1995 comedy is known for the main character’s iconic yellow plaid Dolce & Gabbana outfit, her legendary computer-generated closet, and phrases like “As if!” is making its return with help from Paramount+.

Clueless has become a cult classic. It grossed over $56 million worldwide with an approximate production budget of $12 million. It has only grown in popularity since its initial release. It was named one of Marie Claire's “Best Comedy Movies Ever.”

The film was written and directed by AmyHeckerling. It starred AliciaSilverstone, StaceyDash, BrittanyMurphy, PaulRudd, and DonaldFaison. Silverstone will reprise her role as the lead, Cher Horowitz.

The sequel will be adapted as a television series. Paramount+ has ordered six episodes that will be set in the modern day.

According to Variety, the logline reads, “Beloved Beverly Hills icon Cher Horowitz (Silverstone) has figured out a lot: She’s successful in business and has mastered motherhood—that is, until her daughter’s high school years, and Cher finds that parenting a teenager makes her feel ‘clueless’ all over again.”

The project was originally being developed by Peacock in 2025, but the streamer decided to not continue with the series as of April 2026. Paramount+ recently picked up the series with plans to begin production in Los Angeles in 2027.

This change makes sense as the 1995 film was released by Paramount Pictures. The project is now able to be an in-house production rather than going to a competitor.

“Clueless is coming home,” JaneWiseman, head of Originals for Paramount+, told Variety. “Thirty-one years ago, Alicia Silverstone’s Cher Horowitz captivated audiences with her signature chic style, sharp wit and relentless optimism, helping make ‘Clueless’ a box office hit and instant pop culture classic. We’re especially proud to be filming this much-anticipated series in Los Angeles, honoring its starring role in the original film while investing in the city’s exceptional talent and crews.”

Country Pop Queen Shania Twain, 60, Opens Up About Body Image Battles

Thu, 07/30/2026 - 12:23pm

Shania Twain has had a phenomenal career, and even though her fame skyrocketed at 32 with her third album, Come On Over, that doesn't mean she wants to be that age anymore.

"I'm not trying to be 30, I'm not trying to be 25," Twain told People matter-of-factly. "And I won't be ever again."

A Shocking Menopausal Injury

The country singer has been honest about the fact that when she first entered menopause, she didn't understand the changes her body was going through. In 2019, she had to be carried off stage after tearing two muscles, which she later realized was partly due to menopause.

"I wasn’t drinking enough water, I was not eating enough protein, and I was really going through a raging period of menopause," she explained. "I was just getting this bloat that I didn’t understand."

Due to a decline in estrogen, the risk of tearing muscles and tendons increases with menopause. According to UCLA Health, muscle mass and strength also drop, so it's recommended that women strength-train and make sure they're getting enough protein to counteract it.

Adapting and Thriving at 60

After struggling with the changes her body was going through, Twain, 60, is now more gentle with her body, enjoying "every day for what it is."

"I’m just learning every phase that I go through, and I adapt," she said. "I can’t play tennis like a maniac the way I used to in my 30s because I’m going to break my body. My wrist started to go because I planted so many trees in my youth, and I’ve got this big carpal lump. The first thing to go for me in tennis was my backhand. So I’m like, 'It’s time to take on the double-handed backhand.' And it’s more wicked than my one-handed backhand!"

John Stamos Shares the Cringe-Worthy Comment He Made to Elizabeth Taylor on the 'General Hospital' Set

Thu, 07/30/2026 - 12:21pm

BeforeJohn Stamos became Uncle Jessie on Full House, he first starred on General Hospital during his early years, and recalls committing a faux pas with Elizabeth Taylor.

There's no denying that a lot of young actors who have made it big got their start in a soap opera. It's a chance to hone their skills and learn a thing or two, with Stamos having gotten recognition for his contract role as Blackie Perrish from 1982 to 1984. It's safe to say the role was a breakout success, as it landed him a nomination for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

Looking back at his time on General Hospital, Stamos recalls having accidentally used a new trick he learned on Taylor that ultimately landed as an insult. Taylor was also known for having appeared on the soap opera for three episodes as Helena Cassadine.

According to the Full House star, Taylor visited the set one day as a fan, and Stamos just couldn't get the emotions right for his scene. Unable to shed a tear, he used a line he learned from "an older actor" to buy him some time.

“He’d screw up his lines, he’d go, ‘Someone’s in my eyeline!’ Which I didn’t know what that meant,” Stamos recalled on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “Months later, I was doing a scene and my mom was dying in the scene and I couldn’t cry.”

A young Stamos had the idea in mind when he heard a popping noise off-camera. He had hoped to use the "eyeline bit" to cut the take. Unknown to him, the bit would work, but he had no idea it would end up disrespecting Taylor.

“Finally, I kind of see it in the shadow,” he said. “Some woman was — they were setting up a direction, and I said, ‘Get that old woman out of my eyeline!’ And it was Elizabeth Taylor.”

Taylor has never spoken of the incident before, with Stamos not divulging what happened next after calling the Hollywood starlet an "old woman." After her role on General Hospital, Taylor was in several TV works, including Between Friends, Hotel, and North and South.

During his interview, Stamos also recalled how the late Sammy Davis Jr. was responsible for him playing the drums on the soap opera. The soap opera "weren’t quite taking requests" concerning him playing the drums until Davis Jr. improved their scene together and led Stamos to play on TV.

Trace Adkins Isn't '100% Sure' He's Legally Married—Here's Why Blake Shelton's to Blame

Thu, 07/30/2026 - 12:16pm

Trace Adkins has one lingering question about his wedding day—and it involves his buddy Blake Shelton.

During an appearance on Theo Von's podcast on Tuesday, July 28, Adkins joked that because his longtime friend officiated the ceremony, there's still a tiny bit of uncertainty surrounding the paperwork.

"Blake married us, so we're not 100 percent sure if we're actually really married, but I think we are," Adkins, 64, said while raising his eyebrow.

The lighthearted comment is nothing new for the pair, who have spent decades poking fun at each other.

Adkins and actress Victoria Pratt tied the knot in October 2019 during an intimate ceremony at Maison Montegut in New Orleans' French Quarter. Shelton served as the officiant, standing between the couple as they exchanged vows. The wedding marked Adkins' fourth marriage after the pair met while working on the 2014 film The Virginian.

Although Adkins didn't elaborate on whether there was ever any real confusion about the legality of the ceremony, his tongue-in-cheek remark made Shelton the punchline.

Just last month, Shelton jokingly called out Adkins and his wife on Instagram after celebrating his 50th birthday, claiming his friend had forgotten to send birthday wishes.

"I just wanted to say thank you for all the birthday wishes yesterday," Shelton wrote on his Instagram Stories. "Also @traceadkins is the only one of my friends who didn't wish me a happy birthday. And his wife Victoria. Trace and Victoria did NOT wish me a happy birthday."

Of course, it's not all jokes between the longtime friends. Earlier this year, Adkins wrote a heartfelt letter honoring Shelton during a Grand Ole Opry appearance,  saying, "Blake and I have been friends for almost 25 years. I think of him as more of a brother than a friend." Adkins even gave Shelton another nod for officiating his wedding, adding, "He even officiated at Victoria and my wedding. I got him to include in our vows that I never have to eat salmon. Now that is friendship."

To hear the full conversation between Von and Adkins and hear what else the “Ladies Love Country Boys” singer has to say about Shelton, watch the episode here.

Celebrity Makeup Artist Reveals a Clever Concealer Trick for Mature Skin I Wish I'd Known About Sooner

Thu, 07/30/2026 - 12:10pm

It's so frustrating to apply concealer in the morning and watch it migrate into every fine line and wrinkle by noon. If this happens to you, it may be time to switch up your application techniques to account for your skin's changes.

As skin ages, it produces less oil and collagen, the under-eye area becomes thinner and more delicate and concealers that once worked well can start pooling in fine lines and texture. It turns out that the concealer formula didn't change; your skin did.

With a few targeted adjustments to your prep routine, your application technique and how much product you're actually using, you can solve these issues.

I spoke with Lisa Eldridge, one of the most respected makeup artists in the industry, whose clients include Keira Knightley and Lily Collins. She has been refining her approach to concealer on mature skin for decades, and she shares her techniques with Parade.

"Good skin prep prior to any complexion application is absolutely key," Eldridge tells Parade. "Gentle exfoliation and a well hydrated face—particularly if you have dry skin—is the secret to a good looking base."

Here's everything you need to know about her technique, and why it works so well.

The Clever Concealer Trick a Celebrity Makeup Artist Swears By

Eldridge's technique is called "pinpoint concealing," a targeted, less-is-more method that delivers better coverage with less product and virtually no creasing.

Instead of starting with a heavy concealer and blending outward, she begins with a lighter coverage foundation—applied sparingly in a light layer all over to even the skin tone. Then comes the precision work.

"Use a small brush and a concealer with intense coverage to address any areas that you think still need it," she tells Parade. "Pop the concealer directly on top of the blemish and lightly buff and blend edges to ensure a seamless finish—I think of it like digital retouching."

By evening out the skin with a lighter formula first, you reduce how much concealer you need to apply to any single spot. Less product means less to settle into fine lines, less to crease, less to catch in texture. The result is coverage that looks like skin rather than makeup sitting on top of it.

To set, "use a little translucent setting powder on a fluffy eyeshadow brush, and only powder over the area where you want to set the concealer or dispel shine—'pinpoint powdering!'" she says.

Why 'pinpoint powdering' works so well on mature skin

All-over powder is one of the most common concealer mistakes on mature skin—it flattens the complexion, settles into lines and strips the face of the natural luminosity that makes skin look healthy. Eldridge's solution is to treat powder the same way she treats concealer: with precision.

Using a small, fluffy brush, a light touch and powder only where it's actually needed, rather than dusted across the entire face, helps the complexion to stay natural. This approach almost always looks better on mature skin than a fully powdered finish.

Why Does Concealer Crease and Cake on Mature Skin?

Mature skin is drier, thinner and loses moisture faster, and most concealers are formulated without accounting for that. Eldridge recommends lightweight formulas "that don't settle into fine lines and accentuate them," she says.

Getty

How To Choose the Right Concealer for Mature Skin

"Concealer for mature skin will look different for everyone," Eldridge says. Some people find their skin drier as they age; others who always had normal skin suddenly find themselves more oily. Some develop rosacea. The formula that works is the one that fits your skin, now not the skin you had ten years ago.

How to choose the right concealer formula

That being said, she has some go-to tips.

"If you have dry skin, look for creams or liquids that are more hydrating—the formulas that even when they set down won't become dry or very matte," Eldridge tells Parade.

Avoid overly matte or full-coverage formulas that tend to cling to dry patches and emphasize texture rather than smooth it.

How to choose the right shade

Shade selection is more nuanced than most people realize—and Eldridge's approach varies depending on where on the face you're concealing.

"For under the eyes, avoid choosing a concealer that's too light," she says. "If you have blue or blue-red dark circles, a peach toned concealer is great. If your under-eye area is more pigmented, you may benefit from a slightly brighter concealer."

For blemishes, redness or other areas on the rest of the face, the goal is a seamless match. "Choose a shade that matches your skin tone as closely as possible," she explains. "The goal is for the concealer to blend seamlessly into your complexion so you can't see where it starts or finishes."

She advises that one concealer may not cover everything.

"If you have noticeable dark circles, it's often worth using a second shade under the eyes that's tailored to the specific color and depth of the darkness for the most natural-looking result," she says.

'Below Deck Med' Midseason Tease Brings Back Fan Favorites Before a Terrifying Emergency Rocks Captain Sandy's Crew (Exclusive)

Thu, 07/30/2026 - 12:00pm

Below Deck Mediterranean is pulling out all the stops for the second half of the season, bringing back familiar faces, reigniting crew drama, and building toward a terrifying emergency that leaves Chief Stew Aesha Scott warning, "I'm 10 years into my career, there's been an accident... and I have never seen anything like this."

The midseason trailer promises unfinished business, unexpected returns, and one of the most intense moments of the season yet. Deckhand Luke Brumer, whose controversial departure shook up the deck team, appears to make an unexpected comeback — though not exactly in the way fans might expect — while Max Salvador steps aboard as his replacement.

Meanwhile, longtime Below Deck Mediterranean fans get a major surprise when OG Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier makes an appearance, bringing a dose of nostalgia as the current crew faces a series of escalating challenges.

The danger appears to reach a boiling point when a crew member is heard asking, "So you're going to risk your life if the police are here?" as officers surround the vessel and instruct production to put cameras down.

But the drama isn't limited to emergencies. Akira One may be hosting its wildest charter yet, with Aesha teasing, "We've got a billionaire, his fiancé, and his five other boyfriends."

Off charter, relationships get complicated. Cooper Dawson and Katrina Johnston's romance appears to hit some turbulence, while Max and Chef Joy Lefaucheur bring a new level of French flair — and friction — to the boat.

The crew hierarchy also faces a shake-up as lead deckhand Joe Bradley steps up as bosun while Nathan Gallagher appears to be off the boat to handle a personal issue. Their tension reaches a breaking point when Nathan returns, forcing Captain Sandy Yawn to step in as the former friends' feud escalates. Joe asks, "Are you going to f—king hit me?" before Nathan fires back, "Do not tempt me."

With storms approaching, a guest suffering a head injury, and tensions boiling over among the crew, the rest of Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 looks anything but calm.

Below Deck Mediterranean is on Mondays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

1982 Film Inspired by a Novella Tops New Ranking of 'Perfect' Horror Movies

Thu, 07/30/2026 - 11:57am

Most horror fans will agree that the top films from the spooky genre don't only focus on scaring viewers. Now, obviously, horror movies do need to provide some scares. However, the impactful ones also tend to have well-crafted scripts with unique monsters and disturbing, yet purposeful imagery that cleverly represent real-life evils.

The publication Collider recently released a ranking of the "10 horror movies that are perfect from beginning to end," which showcased several critically acclaimed films that instill terror. According to Collider, some of the most perfect horror movies include 1980's The Shining, 1975's Jaws, Obsession from 2025, The Silence of the Lambs released in 1991, and 1979's Alien. Collider put the John Carpenter-directed The Thing, released in 1982 and inspired by the 1938 novella Who Goes There? by John W. Campbell, at the top of the list.

The Thing, starring Kurt Russell, who plays R. J. "Mac" MacReady, has a score of 85 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

John Carpenter Discussed the Creation of the Horrific Creature in 'The Thing'

While introducing a 70mm screening of The Thing in 2008 for the National Science and Media Museum, Carpenter noted that his 1982 film wasn't the first big-screen take on Who Goes There?. He noted that 1951's The Thing from Another World, which he said he was a fan of, also used Campbell's novella as inspiration. The filmmaker said, however, that The Thing is a closer adaptation to Campbell's text.

"I thought if we just ignore the first movie and ignore sort of the science fiction tropes of the time, and the dated nature of it, and go for a more literal reading of the novella, I thought we'd be in better shape," said Carpenter.

Carpenter also shared that fans can thank the film's special effects artist, Rob Bottin, for The Thing's titular horrific creator.

"There's this cliché about it's always better never to show the face of the devil. Never show the monster. Always suggest it. And I was struggling with that until I came on Rob Bottin, who did the special effects, and he suggested the kind of secret of the movie, which was the Thing can look like anything. It doesn't have to look like one creature. It could look like every life form it's imitated throughout the universe because it's been on its travels for a long, long time," said Carpenter while speaking about the film.

John Legend To Play 1950s Calypso Singer in Bill Condon’s Upcoming Apartheid-Era Biopic

Thu, 07/30/2026 - 11:52am

John Legend is set to star in the upcoming drama The Road Home as American singer, actor and civil rights activist Harry Belafonte. The Bill Condon-directed film will follow South African jazz musicians Hugh Masekela and Miriam “Mama Africa” Makeba on their Apartheid-era Graceland tour with Paul Simon.

The film is a dramatization of the lives of the real-life musicians who find themselves torn between two worlds. Set in the late 1980s, it will follow Masekela after fierce anti-Apartheid advocate Archbishop Trevor Huddleston (played by Guy Pearce), launches a boycott against Paul Simon (South African-born actor-musician Johnny Flynn), because of Graceland.

Huddleston's claims Paul Simon violated the United Nations’ Cultural Boycott with his township music-inspired album. In response, Masekela reunited with Makeba to create the Graceland band in an effort to bring the voice of South Africa to the world.

Wicked actor Cynthia Eribo will star as Makeba, while actor and producer Thabo Rametsi will play Hugh Masekela.

“I was honored to know Mr. Belafonte as my friend, mentor and collaborator in the struggle for justice,” John Legend said, per Variety. “He was an incredible human being who lived a monumental, revolutionary life. He was the epitome of an artist and activist who set a standard for me and so many others who stand on his shoulders. I count it a privilege to be entrusted with the role of Harry Belafonte in this special film.”

In 2008, Legend played Marcus Hooks in Soul Men and Keith in La La Land. He also played the lead role in Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert in 2018, which earned him an Emmy nomination.

Bill Condon is no stranger to music-themed projects, having directed Dreamgirls, Beauty and the Beast, and 2025's Kiss of the Spider Woman with Jennifer Lopez. He also worked on Chicago and The Greatest Showman as a writer.

1977 Rock Song, Written on a Piece of Newspaper, Became a Hit Power Ballad

Thu, 07/30/2026 - 11:45am

A track about burning desire became one of Neil Young's unforgettable hits in 1977, with the singer having penned "Like a Hurricane" during a crazy night out and when he couldn't even talk.

"Like a Hurricane" follows the same repertoire as some of Young's classics. Written on the fly in a spontaneous moment that would end up becoming a fan-favorite with a story to tell. While released in August 1977, the track was created years earlier in the summer of 1975 as Young was having the time of his life out with friends.

Young and his friends, including his neighbor Taylor Phelps, were bar-hopping in La Honda, California. At the time, the musician was recovering from vocal surgery and was ordered to be on vocal rest. That didn't stop Young from having a good time, and at the end of the night, they all ventured to a local scenic spot to do drugs.

"We were all really high, fucked up,” Young told Uncut. "Been out partying. I wrote it when I couldn't sing. I was on voice rest. It was nuts – I was whistling it. I wrote a lot of songs when I couldn't talk."

"Oh Well" was penned in that very moment on a piece of newspaper in the back of a 1950 DeSoto Suburban. The track is widely considered a slow-burn love song, and, according to SongFacts, wasn't about a particular girl. Young had broken up with actor Carrie Snodgress and still hadn't met his future wife.

"Neil, Jim Russell, David Cline and I went to Venturi's in La Honda. We were really f--ked up. Neil had this amazing intense attraction to this particular woman named Gail - it didn't happen, he didn't go home with her. We go back to the ranch and Neil started playing. Young was completely possessed, pacing around the room, hunched over a Stringman keyboard pounding out the song," explained Phelps in Young's biography Shakey by Jimmy McDonough.

The keyboard was mounted in an old pump organ in his front room, with Young revealing he developed the melody in five minutes. He also couldn't stop playing because of how wired he was from the drugs. The first few lines of the song were introduced to his Band Crazy Horse, but they would struggle with developing it for 10 days while on the ranch.

Crazy Horse guitarist Poncho Sampedro explained that it simply wasn't working, with no room for a solo and Young disliking the guitar rhythm. One day, Sampedro started fiddling with the Stringman and "just playing the chords simply" when it struck inspiration for Young.

"If you listen to the take on the record, there's no beginning, no count-off, it just goes woom! They just turned on the machines when they heard us playing again, 'cause we were done for the day. Neil goes, 'Yeah, I think that's how it goes. Just like that.' And that was the take. That's the only time we ever played it that way," he explained.

The song's bridge was taken from Del Shannon's 1961 song "Runaway," with the entire track lasting over eight minutes on the album version. "Oh Well" never entered the charts, as it was only released as part of the album American Stars 'n Bars.

The live show will air weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. CT, bringing listeners country music news, artist interviews, behind-the-scenes stories and audience interaction.

The announcement marks another milestone for Sutton, who made history when she became the first woman to serve as an official Grand Ole Opry announcer. Over the past five years, she has also become a familiar voice to WSM listeners as co-host of "Coffee, Country & Cody" alongside the late broadcasting legend Bill Cody.

"I am truly honored to be entrusted with carrying on the incredible legacy of WSM Radio," Sutton said in a statement.

"Being part of 'Coffee, Country & Cody' for the past five years has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. Bill Cody was so much more than a coworker, he was a dear friend, a mentor, and someone who helped shape both my career and my love for this audience."

Sutton added that WSM's listeners "have always felt like family" and said she's excited to create "a morning show that's filled with laughter, great music, and genuine connection."

Longtime WSM personality and Grand Ole Opry host Charlie Mattos will join Sutton as producer and co-host, alongside WSM Studio Director Annie Ney. WSM personality Amber Anderson will also contribute regularly, and portions of the program will be streamed across WSM's social media channels.

WSM General Manager Eric Marcum said Sutton's deep ties to the country music community made her the natural choice to lead the station's new flagship morning show.

"Kelly's personality, her passion for the music community, and the genuine relationships she's built with artists and fans is exactly what our listeners connect with," Marcum said. "'The Kelly Sutton Show' will carry on the authentic Nashville storytelling that have been at the heart of WSM and the Grand Ole Opry for more than 100 years."

Beyond her work with WSM and the Grand Ole Opry, Sutton will continue hosting the nationally syndicated "Y'all Access with Kelly Sutton," Amazon Music's "Country Heat Weekly" podcast and "The Nashville Show" on Absolute Radio Country in the United Kingdom.

"The Kelly Sutton Show" premieres Monday, Aug. 10, and will be available on 650 AM WSM, the WSM app, WSMRadio.com and iHeartRadio.

Henry Winkler Recalls the ‘Happy Days’ Actor Who Let Fame Go to His Head

Thu, 07/30/2026 - 11:33am

For decades, Henry Winkler has been known as one of Hollywood's nicest actors. But even he had his limits—especially during the height of his Happy Days fame as Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli in the 1970s and early 1980s.

In his 2023 memoir Being Henry…The Fonz and Beyond, Winkler shared a story of a fellow cast member who started to let fame go to his head. Winkler described the co-star as “a kid who joined the cast during the late seasons of the show.”

“And I won't say his name, but he had a moment,” Winkler added.

Winkler revealed that the actor started to get “kind of popular” and that it was great for the show. But when the new TV star started to get fan mail—and brag about it—that wasn’t as great.

“He began to flaunt his fan mail and started to talk about it a lot on the sound stage,” Winkler shared, noting that he took the actor aside and nicely warned him not to flaunt his mail in front of the ensemble cast.

“He kept doing it anyway, and I'm not saying it was because of that, but it wasn't long before his character got written out of Happy Days,” Winkler noted.

In July 2026, Winkler appeared on a Happy Days panel with co-stars Anson Williams and Don Most at Fanboy Expo and let slip the actor referenced in his book.

“One guy came on as a guest star, and then he was brought back a few times, and he would mention his fan mail, and I said, ‘You don't want to talk to me about fan mail, I get 50,000 letters a week,'" Winkler shared. "And I said, ‘We don't talk about that on the set. We are all here as one.’ And he kept doing it, and he was an a--back.”

ABC Photo Archives / Getty Images

When Most (Ralph Malph on Happy Days) admitted he didn’t remember who the actor was, Winkler told him, “He played Eugene. …Good reason you don't remember.”

While Winkler didn't mention the actor by name, the recurring character of Eugene Belvin was played byDenis Mandel in seasons 8 and 9 of Happy Days. Mandel appeared in 10 episodes of the ABCsitcom as the nerdy but handsome Jefferson High School student from 1980 to 1982 before seemingly stepping away from acting in the early ‘90s.

Scott Bernstein, who played Mandel’s character's twin brother Melvin Belvin, continued to appear on Happy Days through Season 10.

For years, fans speculated about who Winkler had been talking about with the “fan mail” story. In a Reddit thread, some fans wondered if it was Danny Butch, the young actor who played Fonzie’s nephew Spike in the early seasons of Happy Days and then disappeared without explanation.

“He was later replaced with Chachi (Scott Baio), who also received a ton of fan mail, but didn’t brag about it,” one fan noted.

In his book, Winkler wrote that Baio, who played Fonzie’s cousin Chachi Arcola, never got a big head on the Happy Days set.

“Scott was not like that,” Winkler wrote in Being Henry. “He was cute, young girls loved him—he could even sing!— and he got very popular right away. He got lots of fan mail, which he did not brag about. He didn't brag because he didn't have to.”

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard Reveals 'Controversial' Summer Plans

Thu, 07/30/2026 - 11:33am

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard is the latest public figure to come clean about cosmetic procedures.

The victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy posted a video on Instagram on Wednesday, July 29, sharing her unique summer plans.

“I wanted to let ya’ll know that part of my summer glow-up is actually a big thing coming up,” she said. “I am kind of nervous about it. I am actually going to be getting what is called GlowTox. And what it is is a professional-grade chemical peel and [Botox].”

Blanchard revealed she wants to get lip filler as well, even though she knows some might not approve of the decision.

“I know it’s controversial,” she said. “ ... I don’t want anything crazy, so I’m not gonna go insane with the filler, but just a little fuller. Just very natural, very subtle.”

The 35-year-old also spoke about having hyperpigmentation, acne, and “some fine lines and wrinkles coming through” that she wants to make less visible.

“I really typically don’t go in the sun a lot unless I go to like the beach or a vacation or something like that, so hopefully the skin peel will help with all that and clear that all up,” Blanchard said in the video.

Blanchard isn’t a stranger to cosmetic surgery. In 2024, she spoke to People about getting ready to have a rhinoplasty.

“I’m going through a personal transformation journey currently and that includes a physical one, too,” she told the outlet in a statement. “Wish me luck with my surgery and watch the whole thing this summer on Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up.”

Blanchard’s close friend NadiyaVizier revealed how she was feeling before the surgery.

"She said she's a bit nervous, but she's happy it's going to be done," Vizier said. "The main thing is that she wanted a more feminine looking nose. She just wants to fix it up and give it a more feminine look."

Founding Member of Iconic '70s Rock Band That Helped Pioneer Punk Turns 71

Thu, 07/30/2026 - 11:27am

In the mid-'70s, British rock band The Damned made history when it released a track that helped to pioneer a new sub-genre of music.

Rat Scabies is the band's drummer, forming the band alongside lead singer Dave Vanian, late guitarist Brian James, and bassist-turned-guitarist Captain Sensible, in 1976. Born on July 30, 1955, in Kingston upon Thames, England, Christopher John Millar earned the nickname and stage name Rat Scabies after he turned up to the band audition with the skin condition and, while he was auditioning, a rat ran across the floor.

Drumming from an early age, Rat got his first drum kit at 8 years old after "nagging" his parents for a set — and the rest is history. According to his website, once he’d picked up the drumsticks for the first time, he "never wanted to do anything else."

On Oct. 22, 1976, The Damned released its first single, "New Rose," making history as the first official punk single ever released by a British band.

"When I first got together with Rat, we were still in the stages of getting The Damned together – finding a bassist and singer and all that stuff," guitarist James explained to Classic Rock in 2015, remembering the moment the band tried out the song for the first time. "So I played him the ['New Rose'] riff and he just took to it like water. Bang! He was off. He just attacked it. It was perfect. Now I had something I could build a song around."

"New Rose," which was "recorded for about fifty quid," was part of the band's legendary debut album, Damned Damned Damned, released on Feb. 18, 1977, via Stiff Records. The album peaked at No. 34 on the U.K. Official Album Chart.

In the mid-'90s, Rat would leave the band temporarily, officially rejoining the original lineup in 2023 following a string of reunion shows in the U.K. a year prior. The band's 13th studio album, Not Like Everybody Else, was released on Jan. 23, 2026, and honors the late James.

Legendary Rock Drummer Turns 55

Thu, 07/30/2026 - 11:10am

Brad Hargreaves is the drummer from Third Eye Blind, a legendary rock band that released their first album in 1997. The band is known for their radio hits “Semi-Charmed Life,” “Jumper,” and “Never Let You Go.” They won a Billboard Music Award for Best Modern Rock Track in 1997 and were nominated for several American Music Awards and California Music Awards. Today, Hargreaves turns 55.

In addition to drumming, Hargreaves also enjoys spending time as a DJ. “I have always liked vinyl since I was a kid listening to my Dad’s records,” he told Highlight Magazine. “I have always loved beat making since I first heard Public Enemy and Dr Dre. I love getting a physical reaction from people by presenting them with music. The first mash-up I ever heard was of 'Back in Black' and 'Get Ur Freak On' and it really showed the creativity you can have mixing music. Mostly, I want people to hear the music I think is good. All of that supports my DJ hobby."

In an interview with Diffuser, Hargreaves spoke about whether the band’s old material being so beloved by fans makes it difficult to create new music. “You know, I don’t think about any of the old material. I mean, I think about the old material in terms of I want to make sure that we’re evolving musically and sonically, and I don’t want to tread over what we’ve done. You can get a little comfortable in terms of the sounds you use and where you go with songs.”

When it comes to performing a blend of new and old songs at concerts, he added, “Sometimes we play too many old songs, and sometimes we play too many new songs. The set list is secondary to the whole idea of the way we play concerts in that each song, regardless of what record it’s on, serves a purpose at that moment, whether it’s building the energy, releasing the energy or kind of plateauing the energy. The way we structure our set list is to control the emotion of the room, so over the course of the concert, you’ve experienced a real ebb and flow emotionally, and hopefully it builds up to a pretty good crescendo at the end.”

Third Eye Blind is currently working on their eighth studio album. Their last album, Our Bande Apart, was released in 2021.

2019 Comic Book Movie Jared Leto Reportedly Tried To Stop Out of Spite

Thu, 07/30/2026 - 11:08am

In 2019,The Hollywood Reporter published an article that indicated that Jared Leto was unhappy with Todd Phillips' Joker film and tried to get it shut down.

Leto, who played the Batmanvillain in Suicide Squad, apparently took umbrage with the version starring Joaquin Phoenix. He believed the Joker film, which won Phoenix his first Academy Award, stood in the way of him getting his own spin-off.

"He not only complained bitterly to his agents at CAA, who also represent Phillips," the piece reported, "but asked his music manager, Irving Azoff, to call the leader of Warners parent company."

A source in Leto’s camp denied to The Hollywood Reporter that the actor made this request, and Azoff declined to comment. Azoff and Leto did part ways not long after the rumors circulated. The Morbius actor also departed from his management at the Creative Artists Agency not long after.

Sources also told the outlet that the Dallas Buyers Club star felt his agents should have told him about the Phillips project earlier and fought harder to keep in the role. He also, apparently, felt that he wasn't being treated like the Academy Award winner he is.

A separate spin-off movie centered on Leto’s Joker was announced in June 2018, but never had a writer or director attached. This was a year after Phillips' project was announced and around the same time as Birds of Prey, which focused on Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn.

The Hollywood Reporter believed that Leto’s on-set behavior and unusual gifts caused friction between the actor and the studio. He reportedly set a live rat to Margot Robbie when making Suicide Squad.

When promoting the film, Leto also complained about how much he had been cut from the final version of David Ayer's film. “In his defense, it was never really his movie, but his attempt to ‘invent’ a place for himself in it backfired,” a source involved in the situation told The Hollywood Reporter at the time.

Joker made over a billion dollars at the box office, earned 11 Oscar nominations and won 2 for its lead actor and score.

Queen's 1979 Pop Song 'Don't Stop Me Now' Hits 1 Billion Views on YouTube: 'We Finally Did it, Guys'

Thu, 07/30/2026 - 10:57am

Welcome back to the 1 Billion Views Club, Queen!

It's official, Queen's beloved 1979 single, "Don't Stop Me Now," has just surpassed the 1 billion views marker on YouTube, marking the second time the British pop band has scored a billion views for their contributions to the music industry.

Previously, the band had managed to snag a billion views for their similarly influential 1975 single, "Bohemian Rhapsody," in July 2019. Since then, Queen's YouTube video for the song managed to secure over 2 billion views on YouTube by December 2025.

Recorded in 1978 and later released as a single on January 26, 1979, "Don't Stop Me Now" was also featured on Queen's influential 1978 album, Jazz.

Written by Queen front man Freddie Mercury, the song has often been described as one of the band's greatest musical achievements, with "Don't Stop Me Now" appearing in countless movies, TV shows and commercials since its release.

Looking at its larger success in the music industry, Rolling Stone later included the song in a readers' poll of the best Queen songs, ranking it number three on their list.

"Queen were on a pretty amazing run by the time their 1978 album Jazz came around," the outlet said of the song. "They'd gone from tiny clubs to stadiums during the past four runs, and every single song they released seemed to fly up the charts."

"'Don't Stop Me Now,' the lead single from the LP featuring the group's trademark multi-tracked harmonies, didn't quite live up to expectations, peaking at Number 86 in America," Rolling Stone continued. It was, however, a Top 10 hit in England. Time has also been very kind to it and it's widely seen now as one of the group's best works."

In the song's comments section on YouTube, multiple users chimed in with celebratory remarks about the video scoring a billion views.

"1 billion views. We finally did it, guys," one user wrote.

"We did it, 1 billion views. Godspeed, Mr. Fahrenheit!" added another account.

H&M Home’s New Pillow Offers Parisian Apartment Vibes for Less Than $20

Thu, 07/30/2026 - 10:52am

H&M Home has added a new minimalist linen-blend cushion cover featuring a romantic French phrase to its textile line for the summer season.

Priced at $19.99, the off-white square cover features black embroidered script spelling the words "L'amour" and "toujours", French for "love" and "always", arranged in a geometric square pattern across the front canvas.

From a distance, the design looks like a modern linear border. Up close, the cursive handwriting forms four outer edges surrounding an open square center. The piece includes a wide exterior border finished with black accent stitching along the rim and a concealed zipper closure across the back. The muted colors and pared back design make it suitable for almost any room and any palette.

The new pillow cover debuted as part of the retailer's Parisian Apartment line. According to company product specs, the fabric composition consists of 55% linen and 45% cotton. The cover measures standard accent size and fits square pillow inserts. It is sold exclusively as a cover, with inner cushion inserts sold separately through the retailer or third-party vendors.

The release reflects a broader retail trend of budget fast-fashion brands expanding into home textiles made with natural fabric blends. Swedish retail giant H&M launched its H&M Home division in 2009, initially selling through online channels before opening standalone home stores and dedicated shop-in-shop sections within existing retail locations.

In recent years, home decor products across major apparel retailers have leaned into minimalist graphic prints and typographic embroidery, often featuring romantic or inspirational sayings. Competitors in the fast-decor market, including Zara Home and Target's Threshold line, also cycle through similar European-inspired phrasing and natural linen blend materials at price points ranging from $15 to $35.

Linen-blend textiles generally command higher price points than standard polyester or pure cotton canvas due to the higher manufacturing cost of flax fibers. By blending linen with cotton, retailers maintain the textured, woven appearance of linen while keeping production costs lower for customers of mass market retail home decor.

The "L'amour toujours" cushion cover is currently available on H&M's official website and in selected brick-and-mortar locations nationwide while supplies last.

Tom Holland Makes Blunt Admission About His Fear of Hosting ‘SNL’

Thu, 07/30/2026 - 10:51am

Tom Holland is petrified of appearing on Saturday Night Live.

No, he’s not afraid of Lorne Michaels or the inevitable pranks. In a recent episode of the Good Hang podcast with Amy Poehler, Holland revealed that he’s “petrified” of having to read lines from cue cards on SNL due to his dyslexia.

“I’m heavily dyslexic, which is one of the reasons why—and I’d love to talk to you today about it, actually—is why I’ve never done SNL,” Holland said at the time. “I’m just so petrified at the concept of, like, trying to read something and they change.”

Holland continued, “It’s just that, for me, I can read fine. But when I have to read out loud, it just becomes a kind of… it’s like a mental block, and I can freeze.”

But just when the actor was ready to face his fears, Holland revealed in an interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers that SNL wasn’t ready for him.

“At the beginning of the [Spider-Man] press tour, I said to the Sony marketing team — who have done such an amazing job on this tour, I really am so grateful to them — I said, ‘I’m ready to host SNL,’” Holland said to Meyers. “And then, they were like, ‘They’re dark during the summer.’ So, thank God!”

During the show, Meyers introduced Holland to the person who handles the cue cards for both his show and SNL.

“He’d take good care of you,” Meyers said. “If the time comes, he’s the cue card guy. Whatever you need.”

Even though Holland told Poheler he was scared at the prospect of hosting, he loves SNL.

“I love the idea of having fun and making a fool of yourself in such a fun, creative way,” he said. “It’s just that thing of the cue cards.”

Gap Brings Back One of Its Most Iconic Products Nationwide After 32 Years

Thu, 07/30/2026 - 10:43am

Gap just officially revived one of its most iconic product lines after over three decades, and the launch is taking it back to the '90s — with a twist. Debuting the launch of Gap Beauty, the brand announced a reimagined fragrance collection, and it's already getting shoppers' attention.

The debut, "a new perspective on its most iconic scents," includes five fragrances that are a nostalgic callback to simpler times for Millennials: Dream, Heaven, Grass, Om, and Harmony. Thirty-two years later, "Gap is reenvisioning that legacy for a new generation, with the beloved fragrances elevated as eau de parfums and transformed for consumers who layer, curate and express their individuality through scent," the brand announced in a press release shared directly with Parade.

As for the scent notes, find descriptions, directly from the brand, below:

• Dream - Returning closest to its original form, it's a warm, woody scent with fresh notes of Italian bergamot, jasmine and cedarwood.

• Heaven - Softer and more sensual than the OG, this one's built around a proprietary amber molecule and brightened with crisp pear, Madagascar vanilla and patchouli.

• Grass - The new addition, it is the most playful of the five, bright and uplifting with notes of apricot nectar, gardenia and amber.

• Om - Undoubedtly an instantly recognizable cult favorite, it offers a deeper, grounded alternative, with rich notes of ginger, sandalwood and cedar.

• Grass - Light and restorative, with a clean freshness drawn from green mandarin, matcha and Virginia cedar.

Originally launched in 1994, Gap Fragrances became a defining scent of the era: clean, simple, effortless... yet elevated. They gained a cult following of users never relenting for their grand comeback, and now that moment has arrived. As stated by one relieved social media user, "Ohthankgod I can stop buying expired Om off eBay 😂😂."

“Gap has always created products that become part of how people express who they are, and fragrance is a natural extension of that,” said Mark Breitbard, CEO and President of Gap, in the release. “We’ve modernized Gap’s signature fragrances for the person who grew up with Gap and for those discovering it for the first time. It’s a deeply personal category and a powerful way for us to connect generations as we continue to evolve the brand.”

Gap Fragrance will be available in all Gap stores nationwide and online starting on July 30, available in three formats: a five-piece .05 oz Discovery Kit ($20), 10ml size ($20), and 50ml glass bottles ($52).

One commenter called it the "Best news ever! Dream and Heaven were my go-tos when I was a teen!!" while another said, "THIS CAN’T BE HAPPENING! (Grass! Dream! OM!) SCREEEEEEAMING! 😱😱😱."

The Millennials showed up full force. "This 90’s Gap Girl is absolutely SEATED. 🪑," one declared, with three more fans remembering times past with, "I wore Dream so much my college boyfriend thought that’s just how I naturally smelled 😍," "I still have my glass bottle of Grass from 30 years ago — I saved a tiny bit so I could always remember the smell of my teenhood. 🥹," and "As someone who worked at Gap during this era, my vote is Om but also Heaven."

"I’m gonna need OM to make a return. It was my signature scent for YEARRRRRRSSS," someone else added, as an additional person joked, "The way I can smell this Reel 😂."

More Instagram users dropped notes like, "I want dream so bad, seems the new reimagined one is more unisex, I cannot wait!!! As a child, the dream candle was EVERYTHING!!!!" "THIS MEANS SO MUCH TO ME," "Give me a Time Machine!" and "🤩 need."
