Joseph Duggar Makes First Court Appearance Since Child Molestation Arrest

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 10:02am

Joseph Duggar has made his first appearance in court since being arrested on Wednesday, Mar. 18.

On Friday, Mar. 20, the 31-year-old former reality star made a virtual appearance in court to address his extradition to Florida.

Joseph did not enter a plea and waived his right to an extradition hearing, meaning he agreed to be transferred to Florida to face charges. He is charged with Lewd and Lascivious Behavior, involving unlawful sexual activity with a minor.

According to People, the hearing started at 8:30 a.m. CT and lasted approximately one minute. Joseph was reportedly wearing a gray and white prison jumpsuit.

No family members were present during the court hearing.

According to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office Facebook, investigators were contacted on Mar. 18, by a police detective in Tontitown, Arkansas—where the Duggar family lives—about a report of past sexual abuse.

During a forensic interview, the 14-year-old victim disclosed incidents involving Duggar during a family vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida, when she was 9.

According to the sheriff’s office, the victim reported that Duggar “repeatedly asked her to sit on his lap, sit beside him on a couch, and cover them with a blanket.” Duggar then allegedly made inappropriate contact with the victim and rubbed his hands on her thighs.

The victim said that Duggar eventually apologized, and that the alleged misconduct stopped after the apology.

Investigators discovered the victim’s father confronted Duggar about these incidents on Mar. 17, 2026, with Duggar admitting his actions to the victim’s father and to Tontitown Detectives.

Duggar was arrested out of state and faces charges of Lewd and Lascivious Behavior, including Molestation of a victim under 12 and conduct by a person 18 or older.

This is not the first arrest for the Duggar family, either. Duggar’s older brother, Josh Duggar, was convicted of possessing child sexual abuse material in 2021 and sentenced to over 12 years in prison.

Iconic ‘80s Action Star Enjoys Some Family Time In These New Pics

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 10:00am

Arnold Schwarzenegger may have made a name for himself in iconic 1980s action movies like The Terminator, Predator, Conan the Barbarian and Commando (and of course, the Danny DeVito comedy Twins). But now the actor and former governor of California is enjoying some well-deserved family time with daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger, ex-wife Maria Shriver and the rest of their clan.

View this post on Instagram

Schwarzenegger’s eldest daughter recently revealed some candid pics of the group’s snow-filled vacation. In a March 16th Instagram post, the 36-year-old author and wife to Guardians of the Galaxy actor Chris Prattwrote, “Fam ski club.” The mom of three (Lyla, age 5, Eloise, age 3, and Ford, age 1) and stepmom to one (Pratt has a 13-year-old son, Jack, with his ex-wife, actress Anna Faris), her hubby, her three siblings, and parents all look like they’re having a ball on the slopes.

Along with a svelte selfie of herself in a trendy red snowsuit, Katherine also posted photos of the Schwarzenegger sibs in full ski gear, famous dad Arnold enjoying the winter sun, mom Maria dressed for the snow, and one of her cute kiddos (hidden by a hat) on a horse-drawn carriage.

The family’s fans may have enjoyed the montage just as much as the Schwarzeneggers enjoyed their snowy getaway. Comments included well wishes such as, “Love seeing you happy and living your best life, Katherine,” and, “Beautiful fam! Love a family who enjoys the sun and snow.”

In a separate, earlier post, Katherine adds a few more photos of the Schwarzeneggers’ adventures, writing, “The mountains were calling.” Even though her famous celebrity dad doesn’t make an appearance in this series, she does include a new pic of her toddler (from the back) and a sweet snowman, mom, Maria, looking fashionable as ever on the slopes, and some of the area’s gorgeous scenery. Adoring comments like, “Aww, special trip!” and “Such an incredible family” poured in.

While these are the newest family photos of the ‘80s action star’s family, Arnold Schwarzenegger also shows up in plenty of his daughter’s other Instagram posts. In February, Katherine added a carousel featuring Arnold doing something less movie-star-like and more grandpa-ish. Instead of showing off his muscles or battling world-dominating AI machines, he’s calmly seated at a table drawing pictures with his granddaughters. And as much as his admirers have enjoyed watching him on the big screen, we’re absolutely obsessed with the star’s aww-dorably sweet family side.

Joseph Duggar Arrest Video Emerges As He Waives Extradition

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 9:51am

New details about the arrest of former 19 Kids and Counting star Joseph Duggar have emerged.

Duggar was arrested on March 18 in Arkansas and he faces allegations of lewd and lascivious behavior in acts involving unlawful sexual activity with a minor.

After Duggar's arrest in Washington County, Arkansas, 5 News published a video of intake process via their YouTube page.

Duggar was wearing a baseball cap, a gray sweatshirt, black pants with a belt, and white sneakers as he was walked into the jail. His hands were initially handcuffed behind his back as the intake process began.

Much of the intake video shows Duggar sitting on a bench waiting as an officer works through the process. His hat, belt, and shoes were placed into a holding container, and after seemingly needing to read and sign something, Duggar was also instructed to remove his wedding ring.

He struggled slightly getting the ring off, but he handed that over as well as what appeared to perhaps be his phone.

At the end of the video, Duggar was instructed to walk with the officer down a hallway that took him out of view of the camera. Throughout the process, Duggar was calm and mostly quiet.

Joseph Duggar Is Awaiting Extradition to Florida

According to People, Duggar waived his right to an extradition hearing. He made his first court appearance via Zoom, and the media outlet noted that neither his wife, Kendra Caldwell Duggar, or any of his other family members were present.

Duggar wore a gray and white prison jumpsuit for the brief hearing, People detailed, and his hair was "slicked back." The hearing lasted only about one minute.

The alleged offense took place in Panama City, Florida, in 2020. Duggar is accused of "unlawful sexual activity" with a girl who was 9 years old at the time. The Bay County Sheriff's Office is expected to file charges.

People added that Duggar may also face additional charges in Arkansas. The media outlet indicated that according to Corey Jenison, the Tontitown Police Department Chief, "there is still an open investigation being conducted."

A statement posted by the Bay County Sheriff's Office on Facebook on March 18 indicated that the victim's father confronted Duggar about the incidents on March 17. "Duggar admitted his actions to the victim's father and to Tontitown Detectives," the statement noted.

Monk Fruit vs. Stevia: Which One's Better for You?

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 9:50am

Cutting back on sugar may be one of your long-standing health goals. But if you have a sweet tooth, this can be easier said than done. However, a calorie-free, plant-based sweetener, such as stevia or monk fruit, could offer a happy medium.

Using monk fruit or stevia instead of sugar or other sweeteners that are high in calories can help reduce the overall calories that you’re consuming, according to the Michigan State University Center for Research on Ingredient Safety. Studies suggest that these non-nutritive sweeteners are more in demand, as people are more concerned about diabetes, obesity and metabolic disorders—all health issues that may accompany a diet high in sugar.

“I recommend both monk fruit and stevia as sugar substitutes because they offer similar advantages over regular sugar while remaining safe and practical for most people,” says Laura Isaacson, RD, CDCES, SCOWM, FAND, CD, a senior director of clinical dietetics at Vida Health. Along with helping reduce your calorie intake, these sweeteners aren’t metabolized like sugar and generally don’t raise your blood sugar, she says.

Both are available in different forms, such as liquids, granules and powders, so you can use them in beverages, cooking and baking, Isaacson says. But they do taste differently than sugar, adds Dr. Charlotte Cervantes, Ph.D., CFS, RD,associate professor and Allied Health, Kinesiology, & Sport Sciences and Nutrition Program director at Southeast Missouri State University

“I would recommend experimenting with both to see if you have a flavor preference,” Dr. Cervantes says.

Here’s what to know about the health profiles of monk fruit and stevia, and which one dietitians consider to be better for you.

What To Know About Monk Fruit

Moussa81/Getty Images

Monk fruit is a small green melon derived from the Siraitia grosvenorii plant that has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine for colds, asthma and digestive problems.

Related: ‘I’m an Endocrinologist—This Popular Smoothie Ingredient Sends Blood Sugar Soaring’

Its sweetness comes from a compound called mogrosides, which is 100 to 250 times sweeter than table sugar. The sweetener is produced by extracting and concentrating the fruit’s mogrosides.

Mogrosides are not metabolized like regular sugar, so they don’t raise blood sugar, Isaacson says. These substances may also offer antioxidant benefits, helping reduce oxidative stress in the body.

Monk fruit may also support metabolic health. But Dr. Cervantes says more research is needed on its direct health benefits.

“Presently, I would say the benefit of monk fruit sweeteners is similar to that of other non-nutritive sweeteners: it can displace added sugars in the diet while still delivering food and beverage products that have appealing sensory qualities,” she notes.

What To Know About Stevia

Stevia is derived from the leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana plant and has been used medicinally and as a sweetener in South America for generations. It’s made by extracting and steeping steviol glycosides from the plant’s crushed leaves.

Related: ‘I’m an Endocrinologist—This Is the Worst Juice for Blood Sugar Spikes’

Stevia is about 200 to 400 times as sweet as sugar, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

So it can also help reduce calorie intake when it’s used in place of sugar, and it doesn’t raise blood sugar, Isaacson says. It also contains antioxidants

Some research suggests stevia may help prevent and manage some chronic diseases, such as kidney disease. But Dr. Cervantes notes that research is limited.

How Do Monk Fruit and Stevia Compare?

Stevia and monk fruit have similar health profiles, Isaacson says. For instance, both:

  • Are natural, plant-derived sweeteners
  • Have zero calories
  • Do not raise blood sugar, making them suitable options for people with diabetes or those following a low-carbohydrate diet
  • Can help reduce overall calorie intake when they’re used to replace traditional sugar
  • Offer antioxidant properties
  • Are considered safe when consumed in moderate amounts

However, it’s important to note that the sweeteners are typically chemically processed and may be blended with other ingredients, like dextrose or maltodextrin, according to CRIS

The main difference between the two is that stevia is sweeter. They also have different flavors—stevia can have a “slight bitter or licorice-like aftertaste,” while monk fruit is often described as “having a smoother, more sugar-like taste,” Isaacson says.

Do They Have Side Effects?

Stevia and monk fruit are generally recognized as safe by the FDA, Dr. Cervantes says.

Related: Endocrinologists Say This Is the Most Underrated Food for Blood Sugar After 50

In most instances, side effects are minimal when stevia or monk fruit is consumed in appropriate amounts, she adds.

However, stevia may affect gut health. And, both stevia and monk fruit are sometimes blended with other sweeteners or fillers, like erythritol, dextrose, maltodextrin or inulin, Isaacson says.

“Sugar alcohols like erythritol may cause digestive discomfort in some individuals, while dextrose and maltodextrin can contribute small amounts of carbohydrates,” she explains.

Monk Fruit vs. Stevia: Which One Is Better for You?

“I do not consider one to be more health-promoting,” Dr. Cervantes says. “They are both great options for individuals who would like to explore using non-nutritive sweeteners.”

Both stevia and monk fruit are “safe and effective sugar substitutes,” Isaacson says.

It really comes down to personal preference, she adds. Which do you like more?  “There is no strong evidence that one is significantly superior to the other for blood sugar control or weight management,” Isaacson says. “Ultimately, the best choice is the one you enjoy and can use consistently as part of a balanced diet.”

Chuck Norris to Star in a Posthumous Role Following His Death at 86

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 9:46am

Chuck Norris's family announced on March 20 that the famous martial artist and actor has died at the age of 86. With a career spanning decades in film and TV, the actor was still active, and his last role was playing himself in an unreleased film.

On March 19, it was announced that Norris was taken to a local hospital in Hawaii after a medical emergency. His cause of death has not been revealed yet, with his family having posted, "It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday [Thursday] morning. While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace."

Norris infamously became known in Hollywood for his martial arts skills rivalling those of actors likeSteven Seagal, Jackie Chan, and Jean-Claude Van Damme. Despite having kept a relatively low profile over the years, the actor was still active in his career, with his last role being in the Australian action comedy Zombie Plane.

The film is set to be released sometime in 2026 in Australia and will be Norris's only posthumous role since his death. He played himself as Zombie Plan focuses on a government organization hoping to stop a zombie outbreak using high-profile celebrities. Other stars included Vanilla Iceand Sophie Monk.

Before the Zombie Plane, Norris also starred as Captain Alastair in the 2024 film Agent Recon. The actor took a hiatus before appearing in the film, as his prior role was as Booker "The Line Wolf" in The Expendables 2 in 2012. During that time, Norris appeared in a few small-screen roles.

He played the cameo role of Sergeant Major Lee Phillips in the Hawaii Five-0 two-part series finale in the episode titled "A 'ohe ia e loa'a aku, he ulua kapapa no ka moana." Before that, his TV special Chuck Norris's Epic Guide to Military Vehicles was released in 2019 and had a voice role in a 2020 video game. When it comes to the small screen, he appeared as himself in "Boy Barry" for The Goldbergs in 2015.

Norris was a veteran of the United States Air Force and began training in martial arts competitions after fulfilling his service. He was a black belt in Karate, Taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and judo, and started training celebrities in Hollywood. He got his start after being asked to play a main villain in The Way of the Dragon by his close friend and fellow martial artist Bruce Lee.

Project Hail Mary Streaming Guide: When Will Ryan Gosling's Sci-Fi Hit Arrive on Prime Video?

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 9:44am

Ryan Gosling’s highly anticipated sci-fi adventure Project Hail Mary – an adaptation of Andy Weir’s novel – is shaping up to be Amazon MGM’s biggest opening ever, with an estimated $63 million to $65 million debut weekend.

While many will rush to theaters for the full cinematic experience (highly advisable), others would rather enjoy this mega-blockbuster from the comforts of the couch. And if you’re the kind who’d rather wait for it to hit streaming, you’re probably already asking: when is Project Hail Mary coming to Prime Video?

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 02: Ryan Gosling promotes the upcoming film "Project Hail Mary" at the Amazon MGM Studios presentation during CinemaCon, the official convention of Cinema United, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on April 02, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Ethan Miller/Getty Images)

Firstly, there’s no official streaming date for Gosling’s Hail Mary yet, but thanks to Amazon’s past release patterns, we can do some speculations.

Looking back, four films – The Beekeeper, Challengers, Blink Twice, and A Working Man – landed on Prime Video roughly 150 days after their theatrical release. Others arrived much sooner, within around 50 days:  Red One, The Accountant, Saltburn, Air.

Of that group, Red One, The Beekeeper, A Working Man, and Challengers were the only films that made a significant profit – and unsurprisingly, they also held the longest theatrical windows. Red One is a special case unto itself, grossing $185.9 million against a $97 million budget. Project Hail Mail, too, is expected to follow a similar big-box-office trajectory, hence likely following a longer theatrical window.

With a 45-to-90-day gap already becoming a standard industry norm, fans can reasonably expect Project Hail Mary to hit Prime Video sometime after June — likely by late summer.

‘The Bachelorette’: Taylor Frankie Paul Was An 'Honest Reality TV' Star Said Showrunner

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 9:36am

Social media has changed reality TV in multiple ways. The Bachelorette franchise famously wanted contestants solely there for love and not fame. By 2026, it was prepared to debut a woman who got a reality TV show because of a social media scandal.

ABC decided not to air Taylor Frankie Paul's season of The Bachelorette after a video of her being violent in 2023. Her Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast refused to film with her recently because of her behavior. A showrunner of the dating show revealed what set her apart from previous stars while filming.

New York Magazine had features writer Rebecca Jennings on set for one of the group dates. Seven men took the stage in Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood to perform as Chippendales for their leading star. Showrunner Scott Teti talked about Paul one week before the scheduled and now cancelled premiere.

"I realized, ‘Oh my God, this girl is one of the most honest reality TV stars that I’ve ever seen," Teti said. "As we talked more, I realized she has no ability to really lie. Everything is really authentic, all the truth just comes out."

The cancellation came after Cinnabon cut ties with The Bachelorette season since it no longer aligned with the brand's values, according to PEOPLE. There is an ongoing domestic violence investigation into Paul, 31, in Utah, according to TMZ.

New allegations of Paul violating her parole by getting violent with the father of her child, Dakota Mortensen, sparked the investigation. This is the same man she was seen throwing chairs at in the newly released video from 2023.

Paul's statement after the cancellation framed her as the victim of this situation. "After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm," read the statement given to Us Weekly.

Mortensen, 33, denied her claim of abuse. He filed for a restraining order against her and sole custody of their son, Ever.

Iconic ‘70s Rocker Admits Illegal Activity 55 Years Later

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 9:30am

Suzi Quatro cemented her name in the music industry by breaking barriers as a ‘70s glam rock icon, but behind her rebellious stage persona, she has also been an unexpected rule breaker.

The Detroit-born singer began her career at age 14 after launching the all-female garage rock band Cradle, formerly known as The Pleasure Seekers, with her sisters.

Years later, she began her solo career and moved to England in 1971 after signing a contract with British record producer Mickie Most.

Despite her debut album becoming a commercial failure, Quatro experienced her first breakthrough after releasing the smash hit "Can the Can."

Her continued success earned her iconic titles such as the "Godmother of Rock" and the "Queen of Glam Rock."

But even as her superstar status soared, her rule-breaking spirit remained just as strong offstage.

According to Quatro, she has been driving illegally for decades and only discovered it recently.

“I’m a pretty brave person,” she told Mirror, adding, “But being tested is terrifying. I was told when I started to drive in this country that my American license was fine. And over the years I was insured, I had speeding tickets.”

When she moved to the England in the ‘70s, her U.S. driver’s license was only valid for 12 months, after which she was required to get a proper U.K. license.

The "Devil Gate Drive" hitmaker admitted that she only realized that she needed a British driver’s license after failing to meet the requirements to renew her U.S. one.

“Can you believe it? I only found out in January because the U.S. laws changed too, and they won’t renew your American license unless you can prove you have been in the particular state your license is from for the last six months, and of course, I can’t,” she shared. “I live here. So I needed a British licence.”

According to her, she has been driving since she was 16 and was frustrated at having to drive around with “L plates” or learner signs at age 75 while driving her Mercedes.

“I’m hoping whoever tests me is a fan,” the music icon joked. “Wouldn’t it be great if I got someone testing me who hates my music?”

The chart-topping singer’s case shows that even a rock legend like Quatro isn’t above the rules, though in her case, it just took over 50 years to find out.

'80s Oscar-Winning Filmmaker and Actor Turns 69

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 9:27am

Shelton Jackson Lee, aka Spike Lee, celebrates his 69th birthday and an impressive career in Hollywood. The filmmaker and actor debuted his first film in the early '80s, and the rest was history, having been awarded with an Oscar, Emmys, and creating some of the most impactful movies about the African American experience.

After attending Morehouse College and New York University Tisch School of the Arts, and starting his own production company, Lee made his directorial debut with She's Gotta Have It in 1986. The low-budget film became a success, having won him the Award of Youth at Cannes, and was preserved by the Library of Congress for its cultural significance.

Three years later, Lee gained critical acclaim for his breakthrough film Do the Right Thing, which starred an ensemble cast of Hollywood icons like Danny Aiello, Ossie Davis, Giancarlo Esposito, Bill Nunn, John Turturro, John Savage, and the debut ofMartin Lawrence. His second major film led to two Oscar nominations and was also preserved by the Library of Congress.

Lee's films have often been regarded as some of the best in the 20th century, with his historical epic Malcolm X, starring Denzel Washington, having gained numerous accolades and preservation. It even had cameo appearances from those involved in the political movement, like Black Panther Party co-founder Bobby Seale.

It wasn't until 2018 that Lee won his first Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay with BlacKkKlansman, starring John David Washington. The film was nominated for six Oscars and four Golden Globes, and won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival. Lee's career has been full of profound hits, and he won an Oscar for his documentary film 4 Little Girls and two Emmys for the seriesWhen Leaves Broke.

Lee's films have often focused on the uncomfortable truths about America’s race struggles, politics, and more.

"I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to express the views of black people who otherwise don’t have access to power and the media. I have to take advantage of that while I’m still bankable," said Lee in a companion book of Do the Right Thing.

Five of his films have been preserved by the Library of Congress, with his films having been breakthroughs for A-list actors like Laurence Fishburne, Samuel L. Jackson, Rosie Perez, andDelroy Lindo, with Do the Right Thing having put many of its cast on the map in Hollywood.

Lindt Is Discontinuing This Popular Line of Lindor Truffles

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 9:12am

Lindt is discontinuing a popular line of Lindor Truffles and fans are devastated.

The cult-favorite chocolatier has had the pleasure of doing business for over 180 years, rising to become a globally adored brand that puts out unique and delicious flavor combinations loved around the world (like its Pistachio Lindor Truffles, which just arrived in U.S. stores). But sometimes, unfavorable changes are unavoidable.

In a statement shared via email with Parade, Lindt USA says it's discontinuing its beloved Lindor Oatmilk Truffles.

Lindt Discontinues Its Lindor Oatmilk Truffles, Scrapping 2 Popular Flavors

Lindt's nondairy Lindor Oatmilk Truffles debuted in 2024 in dark and "milk" chocolate varieties that surged to popularity among fans seeking dairy-free chocolate options. Its nondairy line also includes OatMilk Classic Recipe Chocolate Bars in three flavors (Original, Hazelnut, and Salted Caramel), and the future of those is unclear, though they will presumably fall to the same fate as the chocolate truffles.

"We've made the difficult decision to discontinue our Lindor Oatmilk Truffles," Lindt USA said, adding that it is "grateful for the enthusiastic community that embraced this product."

Unfortunately, in this moment, those fans are feeling anything but gratitude. Some are just searching for closure over what they once celebrated as a "10/10" treat.

"I'm so sad right now, these were my favorite candy!" one declared in the r/lactoseintolerant subreddit.

"Nooooo!" a second exclaimed. "I've given them to people who eat dairy and they were even impressed!"

"We can't have anything it seems. As a chocoholic I was bummed about Swiss Miss discontinuing their nondairy hot chocolate sometime last year and now this?" another wrote in r/vegan. "I don't get why these companies do this."

While no specific reason for discontinuing the item has been provided, the company is reminding fans that its Oatmilk Truffles were never the only made-without-milk option they had to enjoy. Lindt's Excellence Bars (available in 70%, 85%, 90%, 95% and 100% cocoa) as well as its Dark Chocolate Swiss Thins, Large Surfin Bittersweet Bar and the seasonal Dark Chocolate Bunny it offers in the spring are all made without dairy, according to an apparent customer email circulating online.

None of those are truffles, we know. They also come from the same facility that processes its regular chocolates and while the brand says it takes serious precautions to prevent cross-contamination, it notes that the recipes share some equipment, so it might still not be the best option for the most sensitive.

How Long Will Lindt Lindor Oatmilk Truffles Still Be Available?

And if you're one of the many wondering how long you have to stock up on either the dark or "milk" Lindor Oatmilk Truffles, unfortunately, there is no definitive answer.

"While no end date has been set," Lindt USA revealed, "we encourage fans to enjoy them while they're still available and look forward to sharing what's next from the Lindor family."

That said, it looks like the time to stock up is shrinking. Both flavors of the nondairy truffles and oatmilk chocolate bars are listed as "out of stock" on the Lindt website, and many shoppers suggest that stores that used to keep the items on shelves have not restocked in quite some time.

"I was looking for them for Valentine’s Day, and couldn’t even find them in the local Lindt store at the mall," one lamented. "So sad."

"My local Targets have not been restocking them," another added.

Fans' best bet is to check the stores that typically carry them (CVS, Hannaford, Target, Walmart, etc.) and hope for the best. Others can try to snag what's left of the stock on Amazon before it's gone.

Princess’ 2026 Alaska Season Will Be Its Biggest Ever

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 9:10am

If you’ve ever wanted to sip a warm drink while watching a tidewater glacier "calve" into the sea or pet a future Iditarod champion in the middle of a ship’s atrium, 2026 is officially your year.

Princess Cruises has just unveiled its most ambitious Alaska season to date, featuring a record-breaking expansion designed to bring the wilderness right onto the deck. The cruise line is deploying eight ships—including the debut of its newest Sphere-class vessel, Star Princess—to navigate 180 departures across 19 different destinations.

This "biggest ever" season isn't just about the number of berths; it’s about a massive evolution of the line's award-winning "North to Alaska" program. For the first time, guests will be able to experience “The Glacier Experience,” a signature day of scenic cruising that features Park Ranger presentations, live commentary, and dedicated warming stations serving hot chocolate and consommé on deck.

After a day of exploring, the new “Après Sea” lounge provides a chic, ski-resort-inspired vibe where you can unwind with panoramic views of the fjord.

For those who want to dive deeper into the local culture, the 2026 season introduces several "firsts" for the senses. Specialty restaurants like Crown Grill and Sabatini’s are rolling out elevated Alaska dining menus featuring "Wild King Salmon, Alaskan crab cakes and Halibut alla Mediterranea," while the new “Candlelight Concert Series: Fire & Ice” offers an intimate musical performance set against the glow of hundreds of candles. These new additions join long-standing fan favorites like "Puppies in the Piazza," where actual sled dogs in training visit the ship for meet-and-greets.

The scale of the 2026 season means more flexibility for travelers who want to see more than just the coastline. Princess continues to lead the region with over 20 cruisetour options, including the "15-night National Parks Tour" that visits five iconic parks: Glacier Bay, Denali, Wrangell-St. Elias, Kenai Fjords and Klondike Gold Rush.

With the arrival of the Star Princess, which features the stunning glass-enclosed "Dome" and "Sphere" Piazza, the view of the Great Land has literally never been more expansive. Whether you’re a first-timer or a "North to Alaska" veteran, the 2026 season proves that when it comes to the 49th state, Princess is ready to go bigger than ever.

'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' Cast Raised Concerns About Taylor Frankie Paul in Meeting with ABC Executives

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 9:00am

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast raised concerns about Taylor Frankie Paul's alleged domestic violence in a meeting with ABC executives, per a report from NBC News.

According to audio from a Zoom meeting obtained by the outlet, cast members from the Hulu reality show told ABC executives on Mar. 7 they had concerns about continuing the show if Paul—widely regarded as the group's leader—remained involved.

The roughly 30-minute Zoom meeting followed an alleged incident involving Paul and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. A spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department confirmed earlier this week that there is an open “domestic assault investigation” regarding the two.

The spokesperson confirmed “allegations have been made in both directions” and “contact was made with involved parties on [Feb] 24th and 25th,” but declined to share any further details.

During the call, the cast is said to have voiced concerns over the future of their careers, the show’s brand, and the allegations surrounding Paul and Mortensen.

One cast member said they did not feel comfortable filming while Paul is being investigated.

"It’s a dangerous situation, it’s a sad situation, and we don’t know how to navigate it, because Taylor is our friend," the cast member said during the meeting.

NBC reports that a source with knowledge of the situation told them, "The purpose of the March 7 Zoom was to tell The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast that we care about their safety, and they should not feel pressured to do press or film the show."

"The production company engaged a seasoned law firm to conduct an investigation of the competing and conflicting allegations that Taylor and Dakota had toward one another," the source continued. "It would have been inappropriate to engage in a dialogue regarding an ongoing investigation."

The person who shared the recording told NBC that three Disney executives attended the virtual meeting, including Rob Mills, the executive vice president of unscripted and alternative entertainment at Walt Disney Television.

According to NBC, per the audio, cast members provided accounts of Paul's alleged behavior.

Mills reportedly said on the call, "I don’t know a lot, nor do I want to know too much."

"This is not me putting my head in the sand, but it’s not me—you know, I don’t want to inquire, because I don’t know what that does," he allegedly added at a later time.

Several cast members referenced "distressing" and "upsetting" videos of Paul’s alleged conduct, but did not provide details. They did not play the recordings, either.

One cast member called it "concerning" that no one at Disney or Hulu seemed to want to know what was in the videos.

Another cast member also asked Mills if he’s "aware [Taylor] hurt a child?"

On Thursday, Mar. 19, TMZ released a never-before-seen video that appears to show Paul assaulting Mortensen in 2023. In the clip, Paul appears to throw a chair at Mortensen, inadvertently striking her daughter.

"I don’t think for us getting into it is right," Mills reportedly replied, before stressing that the company is "never going to hide anything that is wrong for the sake of business."

He is said to have encouraged cast members to voice their concerns while filming the show, but did not promise that what they said wouldn't be cut in editing.

Mills also denied that Paul was being paid more than the rest of the cast after they raised concerns.

In the end, the cast agreed to pause filming for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives until legal action plays out.

Mills suggested "staying close" with the cast as the investigation unfolds in hopes of continuing the conversation about the future of the hit reality show.

“I want this to continue, and I want everyone to continue really being successful, both with this show and beyond it,” Mills reportedly said. "But I think really, just navigating through this thing and taking care of each other is the most important thing right now."

Paul’s season of The Bachelorette was canceled on Mar. 19 amid the ongoing controversy.

A source familiar with the matter told Parade that the investigation remains ongoing, though no further details were provided.

1980 No. 1 Hit Was Shelved for 40 Years — Why Its Original Version Finally Resurfaced

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 8:51am

On March 21, 1980, the big-screen movie Little Darlings was released.  The coming-of-age comedy-drama film starred established teen queens Tatum O'Neal and Kristy McNichol as summer camp goers Ferris and Angel, as well as actor Armand Assante and newcomer Matt Dillon as the two guys they set their sights on.

The Ronald Maxwell-directed film was a hit during the spring of 1980, earning more than $34 million at the box office. In a video interview with Cinématographe, Maxwell, now 77, said, “When the picture was released, and they got behind it with marketing, etc., and the poster, everything was beautiful. The picture opened number one. My first Hollywood picture was the number one grossing picture.”

The film’s premise, about the two teen leads betting who would lose their virginity first, prompted movie critic Roger Ebert to write, “Little Darlings really wants to be two movies at once: A fairly serious film about teenagers and sex, but also a box-office winner like National Lampoon’s Animal House or Meatballs.”  Ebert added, “Little Darlings somehow does succeed in treating the awesome and scary subject of sexual initiation with some of the dignity it deserves.”

But for movie fans who didn’t see the movie during its first go-around in 1980, it would be decades before they would be able to see it in that original format.

A legal glitch held up the proper release of ‘Little Darlings’ on video

Like most movies of the era, Little Darlings was released in the early days of VHS. In another video posted to his YouTube page, Maxwell revealed that the release was ultimately pulled.

“About a year after the movie was released on VHS when it was with home video, it was pulled off," he shared. "I said, ‘What's going on?' And apparently, back when the movie was made, the rights were cleared in 1980, they just hadn't anticipated the VHS market or DVD market and the attorneys at Paramount—and it's astounding when you think about it—didn't buy the rights for those ancillary uses. They just bought him for like theatrical and broadcast.”

“And so for 40 years, this movie has not been available in the home video market,” Maxwell revealed.

The director added that ever since the film’s theatrical release, the movie had only been seen “in a pirated version, which is terrible."

“You know, fifth generation lousy color, lousy. Some pirated versions coming out of China or someplace,” he said. “Somebody called me, I forget whether it was in the 80s or the '90s, said, ‘Ron, your film was on television and it's not your film, you should look into it.'"

Maxwell explained that a movie director is supposed to be contacted through the Directors Guild of America if there will be edits to a film. “I was never contacted, which is inexcusable because I was always a member of the Directors Guild," he said.

Of the edits to a film, Maxwell added, “They say, ‘Well, the TV version, it can't be longer than this or the airplane version. And it's usually a question of time. But then what I didn't know until I knew was this question of the music rights.”

“And  I finally saw what they were doing, and I was absolutely appalled,” he recalled. “First of all, they couldn't use the needle drops that we had acquired. Every single one of those needle drops like John Lennonor Blondie, whatever it was, replaced by canned music out of some, you know, music library. It’s like taking a hammer to the film.  And they had added scenes that we'd cut out for story reasons.  And other stuff that was just rejected.”

Maxwell‘s options were to file a complaint with the Directors Guild, file a lawsuit, or do nothing.

“And I opted to do nothing,” he admitted. “I just didn't want to go down that road. And so that awful version knocked around broadcast for a while. I don't know how many thousands or millions of people saw it.”

The movie was fully restored in 2024

It took decades for the proper version of Little Darlings to be released.

“The worst part of it is the real version was not available anywhere until a year and a half or two years ago, when it's finally available in Paramount Plus,” Maxwell said. “You can actually see the real movie in all its glory. So just the lesson there is just try to live long enough, you'll see your correct version find the light of day.”

In January 2024, Sound and Vision annoiunced that Little Darlings was released by Cinématographe in a full 4K home video restoration "from the original camera negative.“ "This package restores the original soundtrack and includes extensive extras like audio commentary and an hour‑long interview with director Ron Maxwell,” the site noted.

In a December 2025 Facebook post, Maxwell also credited today’s streaming platforms for giving Little Darling a new life. “My movie Little Darlings was released in 1980,” he wrote. “Even though it opened at #1 on the box office charts, today thanks to streaming television it is being seen worldwide by more audiences than ever."

Colin Jost Spills ‘SNL’ Backstage Secrets—And Michael Che’s Response Is Everything

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 8:50am

Fans got an inside look at the chaos and laughs behind the scenes of Saturday Night Live when Colin Jost revealed the show’s wildest backstage secrets via Instagram, and Michael Che couldn’t help but react.

Jost discussed "The Rundown" of some of the best Cold Opens in the history of the NBC late-night comedy sketch series. After giving fans a history of the segment, which airs at the show's beginning, he discussed his small part in the show's success and his favorite Cold Open of all time.

However, it was his "Weekend Update" co-star Che's reaction that had fans reeling. The two were the series's head writers from 2017 through 2024.

"Shut up Jost," Che said in the comments section. His remarks prompted a flurry of fan responses.

"Oh this is an awesome series," responded a third Instagram user. A fourth noted, "This is sooo cool! Love this."

Jost admitted that he's probably written: "maybe 100 cold opens." He claimed its "cool to have been a part of this very strange, peculiar thing that is the Cold Open at SNL."

He said that before the live show, "There's a warm-up, everyone's ready to go. Then there's like ten minutes of jazz. It has been that way since the beginning. It is a true Cold Open."

"You are going from an ice-cold vibe in here. If you're good as a performer and you're good as a writer at being able to get that audience laughing early on, it is a feat, let me tell you."

"And when you were starting as a writer, it's so thrilling to see that your sketch got in, or so devastating to see if it was cut. The writing staff writes 45 to 50 sketches a week. Of that, maybe eight or nine make the show."

Jost revealed that of the Cold Opens he's written, he's particularly fond of a Season 33 Halloween reveal that was then-candidate Barack Obama. He also recalled Matt Damon as Brett Kavanaugh and the Sean Spicer cold opens with Melissa McCarthy.

In the end, Jost picked as his favorite Cold Open a Katie Couric, Sarah Palin interview from Season 34. "Its nostalgic for me because it was early on for me as a writer. Seth [Meyers] wrote it, and I'm sure that Tina [Fey] and Amy [Poehler] also helped out. That's my pick based on nostalgia, and I think it holds up in the whole history of the show as one of the best."

Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:35 p.m. ET live on NBC.

28 Years Ago, Steamy Thriller That Became a '90s Cult Classic, Was Released

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 8:42am

It's the 28th anniversary of one of the most wildly entertaining films of the late '90s.

On March 20, 1998, John McNaughton's erotic thriller Wild Things was released in theaters, delivering to audiences a campy portrayal of lust, crime and jaw-dropping twists and turns, all set against the humid Florida Everglades in the fictional town of Blue Bay.

Featuring an all-star cast, Wild Things famously stars Denise Richards and Neve Campbell as high school students Kelly and Suzie, plus Matt Dillonas guidance counselor Sam Lombardo, Kevin Bacon as police detective, Sgt. Ray Duquette and Bill Murray as personal injury lawyer Kenneth Bowden. Other stars in the cast include Daphne Rubin-Vega, Theresa Russell, Jennifer Taylor, Robert Wagner, Jeff Perry and more.

Back in 1998, Bacon recalled reading the Wild Things script for the first time, telling Entertainment Weekly at the time that he initially thought it was "the trashiest piece of crap [he 'd] ever read." But it was the script's shocking plot twists that kept him wanting more.

"Every few pages, I kept discovering that it wasn’t what it seemed," Bacon added. "Every few pages, there was another surprise."

In addition to the unexpected turns that the movie takes, its infamously steamy scenes have also helped make it so iconic, even almost 30 years later.

In 1999, Wild Things was nominated for the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss for the spicy three-way makeout session between Dillon, Richards and Campbell's characters. It didn't end up winning the award, which instead went to Gwyneth Paltrow and Joseph Fiennes for Shakespeare in Love.

With a 65% Rotten Tomatoes score, Wild Things has a 3.1 star average rating on Letterboxd, and it also earned spot on Rolling Stone's 2023 list of the 50 Best Erotic Thrillers of All Time, coming in at No. 5. (1996's Bound was ranked at No. 1.)
