A Perfumer Says This Is the Best Place To Apply Fragrance

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 12:05pm

Ah, perfume. Some of us want to smell as if we just spent five hours in a Bath & Body Works and other want to smell like we walked by a bakery selling the most scrumptious tangerine tarts. Point is: perfume is so incredibly personal! But what are some of the universals? Well, knowing where to spritz it, as well as other tips and tricks to make your signature scent last. If that's you, you've come to the right place.

First things first: if you've been spraying perfume on your wrists and rubbing them together like you've seen in commercials, you're actually making your fragrance fade faster—and fragrance experts want you to stop that immediately.

Rubbing breaks down the delicate molecules that create the scent, essentially crushing your perfume before it has a chance to develop on your skin. What actually works is far simpler: spray, don't touch and let the fragrance sit and dry naturally on top of your skin.

Understanding where to apply fragrance changes how long it lasts and how strongly it projects throughout the day. But there's more to fragrance application than just hitting the correct spots. Skin hydration, how much you apply and even where you store your bottles all play important roles in whether your perfume lasts two hours or eight.

The frustrating reality is that your nose adjusts to your own scent within about 15 minutes, which means you might think your perfume has faded when everyone around you can still smell it perfectly. This is why so many people overspray—they literally can't smell themselves anymore and assume they need more. The key is trusting that if you applied it correctly—it's still there even if you can't detect it.

We consulted fragrance experts who formulate and sell perfumes professionally to find out the best application techniques for making your scent last. Here's what actually works. Happy sniffing!

Where To Spray Perfume: The Best Placement

Areas where blood vessels are closest to the skin—helps diffuse and amplify your scent.

Matt Moore, founder of EastWest Bottlers, tells Parade it's all about strategic placement.

"Apply to the pulse points—these areas are naturally 'hotter' and will help project, such as the chest, underside of wrists, inside elbows, back of the ears and knees," he explains.

Other Good Placements for Fragrance

Savannah Britt, founder at The Fragrance Affair, is all about maximizing your scent. "All over from your neck, to your clothes, to your feet. Don't be afraid to be generous all over!" she says.

However, if you're pairing your perfume with a perfume oil, she recommends applying the perfume oil to pulse points like your wrists and neck. "Unlike perfume, oils are more stable and don't evaporate," says Britt.

The most important instruction both experts agree on? "Whatever you do—don't rub it in," Moore shares. "Let the fragrance sit and dry on top of the skin."

Where To Avoid Applying Fragrance

Some areas are off-limits for safety and comfort reasons.

Britt keeps it simple, explaining, "Avoid applying fragrance near your eyes and intimate areas."

The delicate skin in these areas is sensitive to alcohol and fragrance compounds, which can cause irritation.

How Much Fragrance Should You Use?

Moore takes a conservative approach with an important caveat about olfactory adjustment. "A few dabs or a spritz at the pulse points should do the trick," he advises. "Remember that with time, your body and nose will also adjust."

If you've accidentally overdone it, Moore offers a fix. "If you feel like you've gone too far, simply wipe skin with a damp, warm cloth—it will not take off all of the fragrance, but it will reduce its concentration on the skin without greatly altering the scent."

The truth is, it comes down to what you're most comfortable with. Some people like a scent blast (Britt shares: "I'm an over-sprayer, and I like to pair my perfumes with body mists of similar accords"), and some prefer more subtly. Follow your fragrance dreams!

How Long Does Perfume Last?

Longevity depends primarily on concentration and formulation.

"Perfume's staying power is determined by the type of formulation," says Britt. "Ranging from least potent to most potent there's eau fraiche, eau de cologne, eau de toilette, eau de parfum and extrait de parfum," she explains. "If you're looking for a scent that's beast mode, then I'd recommend eau de perfumes and extrait de parfums because they can last up to six to eight hours."

Moore adds that alcohol-based fragrances are also going to stick around longer, as well as those with "heavy base in formulations (musk, patchouli, etc)—as opposed to floral or citrus."

Top Tips for Wearing Perfume

Say it with us: Hydration, hydration, hydration! Always, you guessed it, hydrate your skin first. Moore says to apply unscented lotion after showering, then spray your perfume.

It's also key to store bottles properly. "Be sure to store your fragrances in a cool, dry place for best results over time—not in a humid bathroom that's exposed to lots of sunlight," Moore advises. Heat and light degrade the fragrance compounds.

Try a cool, dry closet or a dresser drawer for storage instead—it will protect your treasured scent, which, depending on which bottle you choose, can be a serious investment.

Amy Duggar King Breaks Silence on Joseph Duggar's Arrest for Child Molestation

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 12:05pm

Amy Duggar King is speaking out for the first time since her cousin Joseph Duggar was arrested.

On Wednesday, Mar. 18, Joseph was arrested and charged for Lewd and Lascivious Behavior, involving unlawful sexual activity with a minor.

On Friday, Mar. 20, King issued a statement to People, which read, "In light of the recent allegations involving my cousin, Joseph Duggar, I am sickened, heartbroken and deeply angry."

"My first thoughts are with the victim, a child who deserved to be safe, protected and surrounded by people she could trust," she continued. "The courage it took for her to come forward, especially after years of carrying something so heavy, cannot be overstated. That bravery deserves to be honored above all else."

King added she was "utterly shocked to hear about these allegations and Joseph’s arrest," but, at the same time, was "not surprised that another alleged predator has emerged from this toxic system."

RELATED: Jill Duggar Breaks Silence on Brother Joseph’s Arrest for Child Molestation

King is seemingly referencing the Institute of Basic Life Principles, a controversial Christian organization the Duggar family was apart of. King and her husband Dillon King participated in the 2023 Prime Video documentary Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets that exposed emotional, physical, and sexual abuse that occurred within the IBLP.

"For years, I have spoken out about the importance of truth, accountability and protecting children, even when it meant going against my own family," King's statement continued. "Family ties should never equal automatic trust or access, especially when it comes to the safety of children. When an image is protected over truth, and silence is chosen over accountability, it creates an environment where abuse can thrive."

King concluded by saying she is "praying for the victim and her family as they walk through what is sure to be an incredibly difficult road ahead." She added, "Recognizing that we do not yet know the full picture, I am also praying for Joseph’s wife, Kendra, as she begins to process this, and for the protection of their children. I'm praying for eyes to be opened and above all, I pray that justice will be served to the fullest."

Joseph made his first court appearance on Mar. 20. He did not enter a plea and waived his right to an extradition hearing, meaning he agreed to be transferred to Florida to face charges.

According to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office Facebook, investigators were contacted on Mar. 18, by a police detective in Tontitown, Arkansas—where the Duggar family lives—about a report of past sexual abuse.

During a forensic interview, the 14-year-old victim disclosed incidents involving Duggar during a family vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida, when she was 9.

According to the sheriff’s office, the victim reported that Duggar “repeatedly asked her to sit on his lap, sit beside him on a couch, and cover them with a blanket.” Duggar then allegedly made inappropriate contact with the victim and rubbed his hands on her thighs.

The victim said that Duggar eventually apologized, and that the alleged misconduct stopped after the apology.

Investigators discovered the victim’s father confronted Duggar about these incidents on Mar. 17, 2026, with Duggar admitting his actions to the victim’s father and to Tontitown Detectives.

Duggar was arrested out of state and faces charges of Lewd and Lascivious Behavior, including Molestation of a victim under 12 and conduct by a person 18 or older.

This is not the first arrest for the Duggar family, either. Duggar’s older brother, Josh Duggar, was convicted of possessing child sexual abuse material in 2021 and sentenced to over 12 years in prison.

Robert Viglasky/Netflix

For nearly a decade, Steven Knight'sPeaky Blinders took us back a century ago, following the exploits of the real-life urban youth gang. Fans became obsessed with the British drama, featuring powerhouse performances from Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, Anya Taylor-Joy and a wide variety of famous faces. While the series wrapped after six seasons in 2022, though Knight always had an intention to finish the story with a film. And, four years later, we're finally getting the proper conclusion with Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man. The movie will pick up with Tommy (Murphy) returning from a self-imposed exile, as he attempts to decide between keeping his family together — or burning it all to the ground.

Beauty in Black Season 2, Part 2 (L to R) Julian Horton as Roy, Kajanee' Smith as Felicia in 'Beauty in Black'

Quantrell Colbert/Netflix

Back in October 2023, Netflix inked a multi-year first-look deal with mega-producer Tyler Perry. The first show the man behind Madea produced: Beauty in Black, featuring a happenstance paths crossing of two women from different sides of the track. The series gained immediate popularity, with the first batch of episodes spending four weeks in Netflix's Top 10 and reaching Number 1 in 28 countries during its second week.

This, of course, prompted a sequel season, the first part of which we received back in October 2025. And, after a torturous cliffhanger that left the fates of Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams) and Mallory (Crystle Stewart) in the balance, the show has finally come back with its last batch of eight episodes. And fans won't need to worry about their stories being unresolved, as Netflix has already renewed Beauty in Black for a third — and final — season.

BTS: The Comeback V, Suga, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Jimin and J-Hope of BTS

To say BTS brought boy bands back in a major way would be an understatement. The Korean group of seven went global back in 2020, helping bring K-pop to American audiences. Their popularity cannot be overstated, as they've become the fastest group since the Beatles to chart four US number-one albums in less than two years, as well as the fastest act to earn six US number-one singles in 60 years.

BTS fans were heartbroken in 2022 when they found out that the group would be putting their career on pause, as all seven members had to complete an 18-month period of military service (which is mandatory in South Korea). By June 2025, everyone was finished up, eager to hit the studio once more. And, on March 21 at 7:00 a.m. ET, Jin, Suga,J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook officially make their return with a live concert in Seoul's historic Gwanghwamun Square, debuting songs from their new album, Arirang.

‘Outlander’ Star Sam Heughan Teases a 'More Fragile' Jamie in Final Season (Exclusive)

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 12:00pm

It’s taken about a dozen years to make eight seasons of Outlander and Sam Heughan has starred as Jamie Fraser throughout the entire series, playing the character from his early 20s into now middle age with all the twists and turns of Jamie’s life along the way.

Parade had the opportunity to get an exclusive interview with Sam for the series finale, and we had to ask him what he sees as the most notable change in Jamie over the period of time he's played him.

“Actually, it's probably unnoticeable physically, but I think he has a lot of scars internally,” Sam said. “I think he has been through a lot, he's grown up. And he has learned what it is to lose the love of his life and his family, and so, the second time around now, he knows what is at stake. So, he's more fragile.”

Jamie and Claire (Caitríona Balfe) were separated for almost 20 years as a result of her return to the future back when she was pregnant with Brianna (Sophie Skelton), just before the Battle of Culloden in 1746. It was 20 years – 1766 – until they were reunited again in that wonderful scene in his print shop.

“He knows he can't live without Claire, doesn't want to, and he's also got a lot more responsibility,” Sam continued. “He's fighting for a lot more. Season 1 he was on his own, no real responsibility, and then over time, he's become a father, and a laird, a leader of men, and a general, and now, responsible, really for the whole of Fraser's Ridge, and he's trying to do the right thing by everyone. So, yeah, he's, become more fragile, I think.”

As he just mentioned, Jamie has been a lot of things to a lot of people, but Sam says that shooting scenes with family members is always his favorite.

“Family is a huge, strong point for the Frasers, but those scenes were always fun to shoot, whether it's the lovely relationship that developed with Bree, with Sophie, who's fantastic, or, , this relationship with Roger (Richard Rankin), that started off completely the wrong direction with Jamie beating him, to relying on him. I think all the extended family were really cool, so all the different people I got work with, everyone was so talented, and everyone brought a lot to their characters.”

Outside of family, Lord John Grey (David Berry) was the key friendship that Jamie enjoyed. The two men met when Jamie was a prisoner at Ardsmuir and Lord John was the prison’s governor. Despite their adversarial relationship, the two men grew a friendship that survived – especially since Lord John became father to Jamie’s illegitimate son William (Charles Vandervaart) – and thrived as they had a reason to stay in touch.

That is, until Jamie learned that while Claire and Lord John thought he was dead, Lord John married Claire to keep her safe when she was going to be arrested for being a spy. And then one night in a drunken stupor, the two fell into bed together. When it turned out that Jamie was alive, Lord John confessed this sin, and it’s one that a very jealous Jamie can’t get over, destroying their lifelong friendship.

“That relationship with John Gray is so interesting, and has been so wonderful to play over the years with Mr. Barry,” Heughan said. “He is such a fantastic character, and they've had such an amazing relationship, and it's been all these sort of grey areas — excuse my pun. But, it's grey areas from being a prisoner to being adversaries. I think it always goes back to chess for me. In a way, they're always making a move, and there's a respect, a mutual respect, and there's a love and an understanding and friendship, but it's never been wholly comfortable for whatever reason. It's quite a complex relationship."

And as we know, Jamie once warned Claire that he was a jealous man. It’s hard enough for him to accept that she returned to Frank for 20 years and that another man got to raise his daughter, but for her to sleep with Lord John is something he hasn’t been able rationalize, even knowing the facts.

“In some ways, that's the challenge with Jamie, and certainly was surprising for me, but actually, that's what's so great, that the character still surprises you,” Sam said. “He's so level-headed, Jamie, and he knows what to do, and knows what to say, and the fact that he knows himself, as you said, there's a rational side of him, he knows fine well that what happened was probably justifiable, or at least, certainly explainable, in the situation, but he can't help himself. He's a passionate man, he loves a lot and hard, and I think that's what makes him so wonderful to play, that despite all of that, he still can't help himself, and he still feels jealousy.”

Having inhabited the role of Jamie for so many years, Sam has come to feel an ownership of it, so he said that both he and Caitríona took part in discussions as to how it will end, because creator/bestselling author Diana Gabaldon hasn’t released the tenth and final book in the series as yet, so her ending hasn’t been revealed.

“We had to wrap it up,” Sam said. “We had to find a way to finish it. We didn't really know where the arc was going this season, but I think the finale was something I felt quite strongly about and did discuss with [showrunner] Matt [Roberts], and various people involved. As you know, there's a whole group of people behind the scenes who have an opinion or say. So, I hope we've served Jamie and the fans, but that's always the challenge, isn't it? To keep everyone happy, and I guess you can't please everyone all the time.”

Outlander will air new episodes each Friday at midnight ET on the STARZ app, all STARZ streaming and on-demand platforms; and at 8 p.m. ET/PT/7 Central on the linear network.

‘King of Hollywood’s Son and Off-Road Champion Turns 65

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 12:00pm

John Clark Gable inherited one of Hollywood’s most iconic names as the only son of the legendary Clark Gable, but he didn't rely on it to define him. Instead, he carved out a legacy of his own.

Though he briefly stepped into the same industry, he ultimately traded scripts for speed after becoming a force in the world of off-road racing.

As he marks his 65th birthday, it’s the perfect time to revisit the highlights of his colorful and unconventional life.

Born on March 20, 1961, his mother, Kay Williams, was the fifth wife of the King of Hollywood, making Judy Lewis his half-sister.

While Hollywood seemed destined for him given his famous parents, he never had a chance to know his father.

The award-winning actor died in November 1960, four months before John Clark Gable was born.

Initially, the A-lister is to take a brief break after filming the movie, The Misfits.

“When I wind up this picture, I’m taking off until after the baby is born,” he said, as mentioned by the Los Angeles Times. “I want to be there and I want to be there a good many months afterward.”

Reports state that Clark Gable’s cause of death was a massive myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack.

Amid the fame of his family, he spent his formative years growing up on the family’s ranch in Encino, California.

In the early ‘90s, he made his acting debut in the movie Bad Jim with James Brolin. He also appeared in a supporting role in the 1994 biographical film A Burning Passion: The Margaret Mitchell Story, and the sci-fi comedy Aliens from Uranus is among his on-screen works.

However, despite the promising opportunities in the entertainment industry, he pursued his true passion for off-road racing.

For two decades, John Clark Gable cemented his name in motocross and truck racing, making him one of the veteran off-road racers.

Apart from winning high-profile races, he is also a two-time champion in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series PRO Open category.

According to him, he got his passion for cars from his father.

“I think my father’s love of auto racing, which I learned about from my mother, has been a special bond with his memory,” the actor turned racer told the Los Angeles Times in 1990, adding, “My mom tried to discourage me from racing, but I just knew it was in my blood. She even hid all my dad’s racing memorabilia from me.”

As for his personal life, he is currently married to Debra Hartsell Gable, his third wife, after officially tying the knot in 2020.

'He Is Not Like Us': Ryan Gosling Confirms Harrison Ford Is Simply Built Different

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 11:54am

Ryan Gosling has played a stoic getaway driver, a jazz-obsessed dreamer, and a plastic-fantastic Ken doll. But the most unbelievable character he's ever encountered might be his real-life co-star Harrison Ford.

Appearing on Jason and Travis Kelce's podcast New Heights to promote his new sci-fi film Project Hail Mary, Gosling lit up when the brothers brought up the Hollywood legend, and the stories did not disappoint.

'Never meet your heroes unless they're Harrison Ford,' Gosling told the Kelces. 'He's as cool as you want him to be.'

As proof, Gosling offered two stories that left Jason and Travis audibly stunned. During filming of Blade Runner 2049, Ford punched Gosling in a scene, and when an ice pack arrived for the younger actor's face, Ford had other ideas. 'He took the ice away out of my hand and put his fist in it and he said, 'I forgive you,' Gosling recalled. Then, when Advil was brought out, Ford reportedly grabbed the entire bottle and downed a lot in one go (Rosling flashed fingers implying 15). 'He's not like us,' Gosling said, laughing.

Related: Harrison Ford Says Michael J. Fox's Attitude on Shrinking Set 'Makes Me Ashamed of Myself'

The second story was equally unhinged, and this one dates back to Raiders of the Lost Ark. According to Gosling, when Ford's hat kept flying off during a horse-riding sequence, the actor's solution was characteristically no-nonsense. 'He stapled it to his head,' Gosling said. 'He said, 'Forget it. Give me a stapler,' and he stapled it to his head.'

Travis's verdict: 'That is f------ hilarious.'

The Ford detour was just one highlight of a wide-ranging conversation. Gosling also opened up about Project Hail Mary, in which he plays a lone astronaut who wakes up with no memory, only to form an unlikely bond with an alien named Rocky. The alien, Gosling revealed, is a full puppet operated by five puppeteers dressed head-to-toe in black. 'They call themselves the Rocketeers,' he said. 'He rolls in with an entourage.'

Gosling said the puppet approach was chosen deliberately over CGI. 'It would have been so much easier had we gone CGI, but there would be no magic,' he explained. 'There were times I felt like I had an alien friend.'

He also confirmed he just wrapped a new Star Wars film, set in its own original timeline, directed by Shawn Levy, due out next year, though he politely dodged when the Kelces asked whether his character is a Jedi or part of the Empire.

As for going to actual space? Hard pass. 'I want to pretend to go,' he said.

The Kelces, for their part, couldn't hide their excitement. 'I don't know how the hell we're getting guests like you to come on our show,' Jason admitted. Gosling's reply: 'The fact that you guys would have me, knowing I'm a liability...it means a lot to me.'

Ben Hollingsworth Speaks Out on Brady’s Jaw-Dropping ‘Virgin River’ Season 7 Cliffhanger

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 11:50am

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Virgin River Season 7.

Virgin River star Ben Hollingsworth got quite a shock when he read the Season 7 finale script for his on-screen character, Brady.

The character has been through the wringer ever since Virgin River premiered, with his shady past continuing to overshadow the good he's doing. However, this season, he was finally able to get his life back on track after Lark (Elise Gatien) hit the road with all his money.

🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬

Brady even got the love of his life back when Brie (Zibby Allen) finally admitted she couldn’t live without him, a moment that delighted fans of the couple.

But that happiness was unfortunately short-lived. In true Virgin River fashion, life was good for Brady, so the writers had his Season 7 arc end with a horrific motorcycle accident, leaving fans wondering if his character would survive.

Hollingsworth opened up about the cliffhanger to TV Insider, admitting he wasn’t thrilled with how the most recent season ended.

“I was so upset. I was like, ‘This is bullsh*t. What? No.’ He finally gets it all. He can’t have nice things. Brady is just one of those guys who is not allowed to have nice things,” he expressed, a sentiment shared by many fans.

The Hallmark star went on to explain, “It is very hard as an actor, too, because you cheer for your character. You want them to be happy. You want them to have nice things because you’re so close to them, especially after seven seasons. I get it, it makes for a great cliffhanger."

As for the piece everyone is wondering about, he noted, "I mean, what happens to Brady? I don’t know.”

Related: Is a ‘Virgin River’ and ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ Crossover in the Works?

Hollingsworth also admitted that the accident will have a major impact on Brie and Brady, regardless of what the outcome is for the character. While he couldn’t give away any Season 8 spoilers because he doesn’t really know much, he does hope that Brady not only survives but that Brie and Brady get showered with more happy moments.

View this post on Instagram

Despite the uncertainty of Brady’s future, Hollingsworth isn’t too worried about his time on the hit Netflix show coming to an end.

“I think Brady adds a really important ingredient to the soup that is Virgin River. Everyone kind of adds their own element to it. Brady is just very different from everyone else in town. I think the town would feel like a different place without Brady. So that’s my pick. Keep Brady on the show,” the actor expressed.

It wouldn't go over well with fans if Brady didn’t survive. After all, Brie and Brady just got back together after a couple of seasons apart. They are one of the most popular couples on Virgin Riverand have been tortured a lot over the past few seasons.

"so...i just finished season 7 of virgin river and im convinced the writers hate brady," one stated, as another chimed in, "I literally screamed and im so scared cause you know the saying a life dies as another is being born I SWEAR IF VIRGIN RIVER KILLS BRADY I'LL LOSE IT He deserves to be happy."

While Brady’s fate remains unclear, it has been revealed that Mike (Marco Grazzini) and Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley) are not coming back for Virgin River Season 8, which will begin filming soon.

Virgin River Seasons 1-7 are streaming on Netflix.

Beloved California Theme Park Opened Its Doors for the First Time 27 Years Ago Today

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 11:50am

t's hard to remember a time when LEGOLAND California Resort wasn't one of California's coolest attractions. After all, it's been a staple in family vacations since March 20, 1999, when the park first opened its doors. Over two decades ago, it was the first of its kind in America, though LEGOLAND existed previously in Europe, opening in Billund in 1968.

Once the creators made their way across the ocean, the park started humbly in Carlsbad, California. According to Brickipedia, a LEGO fan site, the early days looked a lot like a market, full of sets and exclusives that would delight any fan. The park added a restaurant and began expanding into rides shortly after. Though it was sold in 2004 to Merlin Entertainments, the legacy it began carried on and grew into the park fans know today.

LEGOLAND California today is both a mix of modern delights and its original roots. Dating back more than two decades, the park still has Castle Hill, a medieval-themed land where young knights and princesses can conquer the Dragon Coaster. Inside, there are several fun attractions, including a play joust that kids ages 4–12 can participate in. The Dragon Coaster has been a staple since the park’s early years and still delights visitors to this day.

Of course, there are tons of other fun experiences, too. In the years since opening, they’ve added Dino Valley, a dinosaur-themed area. There are mini towns full of intricately built LEGO creations, a full “Driving School” where kids can get their “license,” and more.

One of the coolest features is the epic water park that opens from spring through fall. There’s also an aquarium with more than 5,000 sea creatures to marvel at.

The park truly became a full resort once two key hotels were added onsite: the LEGOLAND California Hotel and the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel, both of which feature themed rooms, nightly entertainment, and free breakfast.

I've never gotten to visit the California park, but I have been to the LEGOLAND New York Resort—and I have to say, it was one of my all-time favorite theme park experiences. They offer many of the same features, and when we went in late April for my son's sixth birthday, it was delightfully uncrowded, the weather was perfect, and we hardly waited for any of the rides.

What Happens to Taylor Frankie Paul’s ‘Bachelorette’ Contestants Now?

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 11:47am

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains spoilers for the entire Bachelorette 2026 season that will now no longer air.

Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette may be officially shelved, but many are left wondering what that means for the contestants who signed on.

Following ABC’s sudden decision to pull the plug on the season, all 22 contestants were reportedly pulled into an emergency virtual meeting with producers, per TMZ. According to sources, the call wasn’t just a quick update—it was a controlled conversation that included multiple lawyers and a clear message: stay quiet and follow the rules.

The men were reminded that their contracts remain fully active for a year, meaning they’re still bound by strict confidentiality terms and unable to speak publicly about their experience. Execs also reportedly emphasized the importance of adhering to network guidelines moving forward.

In an effort to manage the fallout, an after-care team hosted what was described as a “seminar” to support contestants post-cancellation. While the season itself won’t air as planned, there may still be a silver lining—some of the men are being considered for Bachelor in Paradise, though it’s unclear how many will ultimately get the call, the outlet states.

The behind-the-scenes scramble comes after ABC made the call to cancel the season entirely following the release of a video appearing to show Paul in a violent altercation with her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, who is also the father of her youngest child.

In a statement, the network said: “In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”

Despite the cancellation, spoilers had already painted a messy picture of how the season played out. According to Reality Steve, Paul got engaged to contestant Doug Mason during the finale in St. Lucia—but the relationship reportedly ended just one month later.

Taylor Frankie Paul Posts Cryptic Message to Instagram After 'Bachelorette' Cancellation

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 11:47am

Taylor Frankie Paul just posted a cryptic message about Nick Viall to her Instagram Story.

On Friday, Mar. 20—one day after her Bachelorette season was officially canceled—the reality star reposted a reel from @shesallbach that appeared to make fun of Viall for recommending Paul for the role.

During a September episode of The Viall Files podcast, the former Bachelor claimed Paul being cast as the Bachelorette was his idea, and that he was the one to suggest it to production.

In a since-deleted Instagram Story, Paul reposted the reel along with the comment, "Nick is my hype guy."

Viall has yet to comment on The Bachelorette's cancellation.

Paul’s season was scheduled to premiere on Sunday, Mar. 22. On Thursday, Mar. 19, ABC pulled the plug on her season after TMZ released a never-before-seen video that appears to show Paul assaulting her ex-boyfriendDakota Mortensen in 2023.

In a statement to TMZ, a Disney Entertainment spokesperson said, “In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”

Paul also addressed the cancellation via a statement issued by her representative to Us Weekly.

“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security,” the statement read. “After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.”

The statement continued, “There are too many women who are suffering in silence as they survive aggressive, jealous ex-partners who refuse to let them move on with their lives. Taylor has remained silent out of fear of further abuse, retaliation, and public shaming. She is currently exploring all of her options, seeking support, and preparing to own and share her story.”

Taylor Frankie Paul Followed ‘The Bachelorette’ Suitor Before Canceled Premiere

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 11:45am

Season 22 of The Bachelorette was going to have a very different star. Taylor Frankie Paul wasn't a contestant on The Bachelor, unlike previous stars. She also came from a Hulu reality series called The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

Men picked for The Bachelorette sometimes have loose connections with the stars. That was case for Paul, 31, who already followed one of the men before her season was scheduled to premiere.

Taylor Frankie Paul Followed The Bachelorette Contestant Josh Harward View this post on Instagram

Paul followed Josh Harward on Instagram, and he addressed it in a video on February 25. "'So how do you feel knowing she only follows...' She knows I exist!?" was written over a video of Josh, 28, lip syncing to a cover of "Teenage Dirtbag." There is a screenshot of the reality star following him when he had over 4,000 followers. "Oh, she knows," he wrote in the caption.

He is in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, also known as Mormon. Josh links to the organization in his Instagram bio and to a roofing company. He also models, posing as a groom in a photoshoot for Bride magazine.

His Bachelorette profile claimed he was a sales manager in Provo, UT. "Hailing from Provo, Josh runs in similar circles as our Bachelorette and feels they have plenty in common... almost destined to be together," claimed the description, according to Cosmopolitan. He teaches kids how to ski, coaches a kid football team and is a Disney adult.

We won't see if the two were "destined" any time soon. ABC has canceled the premiere of Paul's season after the video of her attacking the father of her two-year-old son, Dakota Mortensen, was released.

Barbie Dream Fest Confirms Astronaut Kellie Gerardi as a Special Guest

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 11:38am

Mattel's upcoming Barbie Dream Fest has just added an inspiring new special guest, confirming astronaut Kellie Gerardi. The multi‑day fan celebration, part of Mattel's broader efforts to elevate female role models, will take place March 27–29 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where attendees will have rare opportunities to engage with trailblazing female leaders who are shaping the future.

"We are beyond excited to welcome Kellie Gerardi to Barbie Dream Fest!" the festival shared on Instagram. "As a research astronaut, payload specialist, and Barbie Role Model, Kellie is helping shape the future of space exploration, from conducting microgravity research to inspiring the next generation of women in STEM! Don't miss your chance to see her in person and celebrate all things Barbie!"

View this post on Instagram

Gerardi is one of the standout figures included in Barbie's first‑ever Dream Team, a group of global women leaders highlighted in conjunction with International Women's Day. The Dream Team celebrates women across sectors, from sports and the arts to scientific exploration, and Gerardi's inclusion underscores the growing recognition of women in STEM and space.

Gerardi's journey is a compelling one. Born in Jupiter, Florida, she built a multifaceted career as a commercial astronaut. In 2023, she flew aboard Virgin Galactic's Galactic 05 mission, becoming one of the first women in space through a commercial research flight—a milestone that complements Barbie's long‑standing message that girls can be whatever they want to be and do anything they want to do.

At Barbie Dream Fest, Gerardi is expected to participate in panels and presentations that bring her space‑faring experiences to life for fans of all ages, especially young girls who look up to figures breaking barriers in science and exploration. One featured exhibition, titled "Beyond the Stars," will explore Astronaut Barbie's impact on science, technology, and the imagination, making Gerardi's presence particularly fitting.

Her inclusion as a special guest also highlights a broader cultural shift. Barbie has evolved from a toy into a platform that amplifies stories of real women who push boundaries, whether on the tennis court, in the skies, or above the Earth itself. Gerardi's participation reinforces that narrative and puts a spotlight on the idea that space and scientific discovery are open to everyone brave enough to dream.

After hearing the news, Priscilla took to Instagram on Friday morning to express her condolences, sharing a photo of the late star with the caption, "I’m so sad to hear that my Karate instructor and friend Chuck Norris has passed away."

"He will be forever missed 😔" she added in the somber post.

View this post on Instagram How Did Priscilla Presley Know Chuck Norris?

Priscilla was taking classes from Norris in the early '70s at his karate school in Sherman Oaks, Calif.

It was around the same time that Priscilla grew closer to karate instructor Mike Stone, with whom she ended up having an affair while still married to Elvis.

Priscilla admitted to the infidelity in her 2025 memoir, Softly As I Leave You though she insisted there were other factors that led to the downfall of her marriage with Elvis, which officially came to an end in 1973.

Did Chuck Norris Ever Meet Elvis?

Norris was introduced to the King of Rock and Roll after Priscilla invited him to one of Elvis' Las Vegas performances.

"This would be the first time I met Elvis in person," Norris recalled in a 2007 article about his connection with the Presley's. "I'll never forget sitting in the front booth with Priscilla at that dinner show and being captivated by his charisma and showmanship."

Norris said he was later invited to Elvis' suite, where he wound up talking to the singer about his extensive martial arts knowledge until 4 a.m.

"I was impressed with his self defense insight and devotion. Even after two shows earlier that evening, Elvis stayed to the early morning hours shooting the breeze with us," he added. "That was a special night for all of us, which I'll never forget."

Still Our Neighbor: Celebrating Beloved Children's Television Icon on What Would've Been His 98th Birthday

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 11:31am

On March 20, 1928, on a beautiful day in a Pennsylvania neighborhood, Fred McFeely Rogers was born. An only child who had one ailment after another, he was forced to be creative and use his imagination.

"I had every imaginable childhood disease, even scarlet fever," he said on an appearance on Fresh Air with Terry Gross. "So whenever I was quarantined -- you know, they used to quarantine people for chicken pox, all of those things. I would be in bed a lot, and I certainly knew what it was like to use the counterpain as my neighborhood of make-believe, if you will."

He used whatever he could to create characters and scenery, whether it was his knees for mountains or shadow puppets. "I'm sure that was the beginning of a much later neighborhood of make-believe," he added.

That Neighborhood of Make-Believe became Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, which he began hosting in 1968. The PBS show ran for an impressive 33 years, with Rogers bestowing lessons of kindness, empathy, and compassion across 896 episodes. Considered a pioneer of children's programming, he gave a passionate speech to the Senate when they were threatening a 50% cut to public broadcasting.

"I give an expression of care every day to each child. To help him realize that he is unique," he told the Senate subcommittee. "I end the program by saying, 'You've made this day a special day by just your being you. There's no person in the whole world like you, and I like you just the way you are.' And I feel if we in public television can only make it clear that feelings are mentionable and manageable, we will have done a great service for mental health."

Fred Rogers' legacy has lived on through Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, a spin-off focusing on Daniel Tiger, one of the Mister Rogers characters, produced by Fred Rogers Productions and its projects, and, most recently, on YouTube. On March 19, Little Dot Studios announced that it was teaming up with Fred Rogers Productions to bring Mister Rogers' Neighborhood to YouTube with its own dedicated channel.

Rogers passed away on Feb. 27, 2003, shortly after he was diagnosed with stomach cancer. A few months before he died, he left one last message for those who had grown up watching Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.

"I would like to tell you what I often told you when you were much younger," he said. "I like you just the way you are. And what's more, I'm so grateful to you for helping the children in your life to know that you'll do everything you can to keep them safe. And to help them express their feelings in ways that will bring healing in many different neighborhoods. It's such a good feeling to know that we're lifelong friends."

United Airlines Passenger With ‘Severe Airborne Peanut Allergy’ Flabbergasted at Crew’s Refusal To Accomodate Medical Request, but People Are Divided

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 11:29am

Boarding a flight usually involves scanning your ticket, stowing your carry‑on, and settling in with the hope of a smooth journey ahead. But for some travelers, there’s another layer of preparation: communicating a serious health concern. Recently, a United Airlines passenger shared her experience asking for a simple accommodation related to her airborne peanut allergy, and the response has sparked a lively debate online about how airlines handle such situations.

In a video shared on social media, the traveler explained to a flight attendant that she lives with a severe peanut allergy that can be triggered by airborne exposure. She politely asked if communications could be made to passengers via a large announcement that she would need a "buffer zone." The crew told her they could not make that kind of announcement beforehand. She was told to email United about the issue.

The exchange highlights a tension many flyers live with quietly: balancing personal health needs with the realities of flying in a crowded cabin where policies and capacities vary from airline to airline.

View this post on Instagram The Reaction Online: A Mix of Empathy and Frustration

Once the video circulated, reactions poured in from travelers and members of the allergy community.

Some expressed empathy, noting that those with severe allergies live with constant vigilance during travel.

A disturbed Instagram user claimed "Cabin crew are primarily responsible for safety. That is their top priority—so refusing to carry out a safety-related, potentially life-saving action is deeply concerning."

Others pointed out that enforcing such accommodations in a shared space may be beyond what flight attendants can reasonably manage.

One commenter stated "I work for an airline and the airline I work for has buffer zone policy but would never be able to 'announce' it to the whole airplane. Pax would have PWNA on the boarding pass indicating pax has nut allergy and rows around would have been allocated as buffer zone. FAs would speak to other pax seated on the buffer area to inform they can't consume anything with nuts due to pax with allergy seated close to them, but are NOT allowed to make a public announcement like 'pax seated in 38F has nut allergy so don't eat nuts near that pax' due to the pax safety. If you think about it, a psycho can suddenly decide to kill you and start breathing nuts really close to you, or watch you suffer at least. I understand you have severe allergy but trust me, it's better not to announce it for YOUR safety."

United responded to the video in a comment reading "Hi, Mikayla. We are so sorry about this, and would like to look into it more closely. Please send us a DM with your confirmation number whenever you have a chance."

We reached out to the creator to see if that DM was sent and what the context was, but did not receive a reply.

This issue is not unique to United. Other passengers with nut allergies have shared stories of mixed experiences on various airlines, where requests for safety measures are met with cooperation on some flights and resistance on others. These accounts often highlight inconsistencies in airline approaches and underscore the difficulty crew have in juggling passenger needs.

It is important to note that the American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology's position that airborne peanut dust doesn't pose an immediate threat.

" Since the issue was first studied in 2004, data have consistently shown that peanut dust does not become airborne nor does inhaling peanut butter vapors provoke a reaction, that skin contact with either form of peanut is unlikely to cause any reaction beyond local irritation that can be washed off, and lastly that surfaces (including hands) that become contaminated with peanut can be easily washed off. Let’s briefly summarize this evidence," it states.

Related: United Airlines Is Finally Cracking Down on One of Flying’s Biggest Annoyances

Allergy Accommodations in the Sky: Policies and Limits

Air travel is a unique environment. Snacks and meals are served in a closed space, and once the cabin door shuts, passengers and crew alike are dependent on what’s already onboard. That makes allergy management particularly challenging.

United’s official policy allows passengers to notify flight attendants of food allergies, and in some cases crew will ask passengers seated nearby to be cautious about what they eat. However, United does not guarantee a nut‑free environment and flight crews typically do not make cabin‑wide announcements about individual allergy concerns. Detailed summary charts of airline policies show that United’s accommodation procedures do not include routine allergic passenger notifications for all flyers.

Related: Passenger Baffled by Bizarre Carry-On Situation but Not Everyone Is on His Side

This means that while airlines may take steps to minimize risk, such as not serving peanuts during a flight, they cannot ensure that no passenger brings their own snacks aboard. The Federal Aviation Administration has also noted that allergen‑free cabins cannot be guaranteed, as passengers often bring food onboard themselves.

But this does not make the debate any less emotional for those affected. Peanut allergies can be life‑threatening. Just a few particles of airborne allergen can trigger a reaction in highly sensitive individuals, leading to symptoms ranging from hives and swelling to anaphylaxis, a severe and potentially fatal response.

Tips for Travelers With Severe Allergies

As someone who travels often and has friends with serious allergies, I’ve learned that preparation is key. For travelers with life‑threatening allergy concerns, here are a few practical steps that can improve peace of mind:

  • Notify the airline well before travel about your allergy when you book your ticket. Many carriers allow this through special assistance request forms.
  • Inform gate agents and flight attendants in person early during boarding so they know your needs.
  • Carry necessary medication on your person and ensure it is easily accessible throughout the flight.
  • Consider a buffer zone by asking if you can pre‑board or be seated away from areas where food is consumed.
  • Bring your own snacks in case cabin options are not safe for you.

None of these strategies guarantee a risk‑free flight, but they can help you feel more in control in an environment where so many variables are out of your hands.

A Broader Conversation About Inclusive Travel

This incident is sparking thoughtful discussion not just about airline policy, but about how travel can be more inclusive for people living with invisible conditions. For every commenter who sees the request as unreasonable, there’s someone else for whom a simple accommodation could mean the difference between a routine flight and a medical emergency.

Travel is meant to expand horizons, not amplify stress about basic safety. As flyers, we ask a lot of ourselves to get from Point A to Point B. The more we understand each other’s needs, the better equipped our shared spaces will be for everyone.

Ina Garten Just Announced a New Cookbook—and It Might Be Her Most Relatable Yet

Fri, 03/20/2026 - 11:25am

Dinner parties always sound like a great idea until you're juggling five recipes, timing everything down to the minute and realizing you haven't actually enjoyed a single second of hosting. That's exactly why this announcement of an Ina Garten cookbook feels so refreshing. It hints at a shift away from complicated cooking and toward something a lot more doable—especially for anyone who loves to host but doesn't want to spend the entire night in the kitchen.

Beloved Food Network icon Ina Garten is officially back with a brand-new cookbook, and fans already have a date to mark on their calendars. After a four-year gap since her last release, the esteemed Barefoot Contessa is introducing Simply Ina, a collection focused on approachable, streamlined recipes that don't sacrifice flavor.

A Cookbook Built for Real Life View this post on Instagram

In her announcement, Garten shared exactly what inspired the project—and why it feels so different from what many home cooks are used to. "It's been four years since my last cookbook, and I've been working on something new that I can finally tell you about!" she wrote. "My next cookbook is called SIMPLY INA, and I have had so much fun testing the recipes."

The focus this time around is simplicity, but not in a boring or basic way. Garten made it clear that creating dishes that are both easy and delicious takes real thought. "It's not easy to make something simple and delicious," she explained, adding that the goal is to help people "spend more time with your guests."

Instead of complicated prep or hard-to-find ingredients, the recipes in this new book are designed to fit into real routines—whether that means fewer steps, make-ahead options or meals that come together without stress.

Why Fans Are Already Excited

For longtime fans, this cookbook hits a sweet spot. Garten has always been known for elegant but approachable cooking, and this feels like a natural evolution of that style. It also arrives at a time when more people are leaning into low-effort, high-reward meals at home.

The concept of simple cooking means different things to different people, and Garten leans into that flexibility. Some recipes may focus on minimal ingredients, while others might emphasize easy prep or one-bowl methods. The common thread is that they're designed to make cooking feel less overwhelming and more enjoyable.

Simply Ina is set to hit shelves on October 20, and it's already available for pre-order. If early reactions are any indication, it's shaping up to be one of the most relatable cookbooks she's released yet—especially for home cooks who want great food without the stress.
