This summer is already shaping up to be one for the record books, with countless brands and companies releasing limited-edition products to celebrate America's 250th anniversary.

Nestled somewhere among the mix is the return of Hostess' Donettes Strawberry Mini Donuts, the best-selling snack cakes that are often described as one of the company's absolute greatest desserts.

According to Allrecipes, Hostess is once again bringing back their beloved flavor of mini donuts to coincide with the 250th celebration of America's founding.

As per the outlet, the donuts are available in both 10-oz bags and individually packaged sleeves at most grocery stores, including Walmart, Kroger and other regional supermarket chains.

As those familiar with the iconic pink snack are sure to remember, Hostess' Donettes Strawberry Mini Donuts offer a fruity spin on the classic mini donuts, one that's sure to please all those who love the brand's beloved powdered sugar or chocolate coated donuts.

As delicious as the new cakes no doubt sound, it's worth remembering that the returning dessert flavor is only available for a limited time this summer season, likely while supplies last.

With that in mind, it's highly advised that fans get their hands on the returning donuts before they've once again disappeared from store shelves.

The Hostess Donettes Strawberry Mini Donuts are hardly the only treat arriving from the brand this summer season. As Allrecipes pointed out, the company is releasing its new Patriotic Cupcakes to coincide with the Fourth of July. Decked out in eye-catching blue frosting and with a vivid white red and red sprinkles, it's the perfect food to celebrate the holiday, as well as the 250th birthday of the United States.

Additionally, Hostess will also be releasing Red, White & Blue! Twinkies, outfitting the iconic Twinkie with red and white dots along the outer surface of the snack's sponge cake exterior.

A new documentary about Gregg Allman is headed to theaters later this month, promising a deeply personal look at one of rock music's most complicated and influential figures.

Gregg Allman: The Music of My Soul, directed by James Keach, will open exclusively in theaters on June 17, 2026.

The 96-minute film traces Allman's journey from a childhood marked by tragedy to his rise as the voice behind the groundbreaking The Allman Brothers Band, whose blend of blues, rock and improvisational jams helped define Southern rock.

According to filmmakers, the documentary goes far beyond a traditional music biography. Using archival footage, previously unseen interviews and conversations with family members and fellow musicians, the film explores the personal struggles that shaped Allman's life and music.

Among those appearing in the documentary are his son, Devon Allman; daughter Galadrielle Allman; longtime keyboardist Chuck Leavell; founding band member Jaimoe; singer and former wife Cher; and singer-songwriter Jackson Browne.

The film examines pivotal moments in Allman's life, including the murder of his father when he was a child, the formation of the Allman Brothers Band alongside his brother, Duane Allman, and the devastating aftermath of Duane's death in a motorcycle accident in 1971. It also tackles Allman's decades-long struggle with addiction, his seven marriages and the sobriety he achieved later in life.

Keach, whose previous music documentaries include Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice and Glen Campbell… I'll Be Me, said he was initially unfamiliar with much of Allman's catalog. What ultimately drew him to the project, he explained, was the emotional core of the story—particularly the bond between Gregg and Duane.

The filmmaker has said he saw parallels between the Allman brothers' relationship and his own relationship with his brother, actor and producer Stacy Keach. That connection helped shape the documentary's focus on grief, family and resilience rather than simply chronicling musical achievements.

The project was initiated by longtime Allman manager Michael Lehman, who described the film as an effort to show audiences "the Gregg behind the music." Lehman said the documentary explores how both triumph and tragedy informed the songs that made Allman a rock icon.

Beyond the music, The Music of My Soul also examines larger themes that defined the era in which Allman lived, including race relations in the American South, addiction, loss and personal reinvention. The film highlights how the integrated lineup of the Allman Brothers Band challenged cultural norms while creating a sound that would influence generations of musicians.

Allman died in 2017 at the age of 69, but his voice and songwriting continue to resonate with fans around the world. With a mix of rare footage, intimate interviews and reflections from those who knew him best, Gregg Allman: The Music of My Soul aims to offer a fuller portrait of the man behind classics like "Midnight Rider," "Melissa" and "Whipping Post."

The documentary opens in theaters nationwide on June 17.

If you are a macaroni and cheese lover and an avid Aldi shopper, you may want to check your fridge. The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has just recalled more than 500,000 individual packages of a popular refrigerated mac and cheese product from the German grocery store chain due to a potentially undeclared allergen. This recall affects products nationwide.

Here is exactly what to know about this recall.

BEF Foods Inc. initiated a voluntary recall for Aldi's Park St. Deli Macaroni & Cheese. On Wednesday, June 10, the FDA announced that it had classified the ongoing voluntary recall from the Texas-based firm due to an undeclared allergen as a Class II risk. This means that consuming this mac and cheese "may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences." The refrigerated meal was originally recalled on March 23. This was before the FDA classified it as a Class II recall.

The allergen in question is soy lecithin. Soy lecithin is a plant-based food additive and supplement that is derived from soybeans. If you're sensitive to soy or allergic to it, this might affect you.

According to Aldi's website, it is an original Aldi product and is exclusively found at the grocery store chain. This pre-made refrigerated side dish is made out of pasta, cheddar cheese, American cheese and more. It comes in a 20-ounce container, with nine of these packages per case. The dish comes in a plastic tub and is then placed into a paperboard sleeve.

According to the FDA, this recall affects 58,405 cases of Aldi's Park St. Deli Macaroni & Cheese. This amounts to 525,645 individual packages of the product. For nearly two decades, The X-Files: I Want to Believe had a reputation unusual for a show that spent years terrifying television audiences. The 2008 film that reunited Fox Mulder and Dana Scully on the big screen had a 32% on Rotten Tomatoes and left fans wondering how creator Chris Carter could have gotten it so wrong. As of June 11, Carter's answer is finally on Disney+, and it turns out he didn't.

The director's cut of I Want to Believe (now streaming as a bonus feature on the film's Disney+ page) restores the horror-driven content that Fox executives and the MPAA forced Carter to remove before the movie's original theatrical release. Carter first revealed the project was in the works during a 2025 appearance on David Duchovny's Fail Better podcast, where he explained what happened behind the scenes in 2008. The studio wanted a PG-13 film. Carter did not. 'I made it too scary, basically,' he told Duchovny. 'They wanted a PG-13 movie. So we cut it back."

What audiences got in 2008 was a standalone thriller built around a psychic former priest and a serial body-harvesting case that had almost nothing to do with the alien mythology fans had spent nine seasons following. Critics called it a feature-length monster-of-the-week episode. Box office returns of $68.4 million on a $30 million budget confirmed audiences weren't connecting. The film's reputation became a sore spot for the franchise, one that seasons 10 and 11 were never fully able to move past.

Carter's director's cut is distinct from the extended DVD edition that added roughly four minutes of footage in 2008. This is a separate project, one Carter only recently got approval to complete, and one specifically designed to restore the darker, more frightening material that never made it to screens. 'It's not just doing a director's cut to do a director's cut,' Carter said on the podcast. 'It's really kind of bringing to life something that for me was on the page and never got to the screen.'

The timing is poised to take advantage of another franchise milestone. Ryan Coogler, the Sinnersdirector who won the 2026 Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, is currently developing a new X-Files reboot pilot for Hulustarring Danielle Deadwyler and Himesh Patel. The franchise is being handed to a new generation, and what better moment to let the old one finally see the version of I Want to Believe that was originally meant to be.

For fans who watched Mulder and Scully through every twist of the original nine seasons, this release is a little ironic. The show built its legacy on the idea that the truth was being hidden. Fitting that its most maligned chapter was hiding a different version of itself the whole time.

Rosanna Pansino's 41st birthday did not end the way she expected.

The YouTube star and longtime host of Nerdy Nummies shared that she suffered serious injuries after falling while celebrating her birthday on a boat. Pansino, who turned 41 on June 8, posted the update days later and told followers that she is now recovering after a frightening accident.

"Whelp, my birthday didn't end quite as I had planned, but it's one I will never forget!" she wrote.

Pansino explained that the day had started beautifully before the accident happened.

"After a beautiful day spent with friends out in the ocean, I unfortunately took a very bad fall as the boat was docking," she wrote.

The fall caused major injuries. Pansino said she broke her jaw into four pieces, including "a complete fracture down the middle" of her chin. She also said she broke her front teeth.

Pansino spent the night in the emergency room, where she received stitches for three facial wounds. She later underwent surgery to put a metal plate in her chin and stabilize her jaw and teeth.

Pansino also told followers that doctors used four metal screws in her gums for bands that are helping hold her jaw in place.

She said her front teeth were "shattered" and that she will need extensive dental work to repair them.

The update was difficult, but Pansino also shared some encouraging news. She said her doctor recently told her that she can talk sooner than expected, though she still has at least eight more weeks of recovery ahead.

"The good news is the doctor just updated me at the latest checkup that I can talk sooner than expected," she wrote.

Pansino also thanked the medical staff who helped her, as well as everyone who has sent flowers, visited her or reached out with kind words.

Her partner, Mike Lamond, showed support in the comments, joking that she was "somehow just as cute with a broken jaw," according to People.

Safiya Nygaard also sent love, writing, "Sending you love and healing vibes!! You got this."

Other well-known names, including Joey Graceffa, Mr. Kate, Jeannie Mai, Jeri Ryan, Hila Klein and iJustine, also shared supportive messages.

Pansino added that she is excited to get back on her feet and continue making content for her YouTube channel and her Rodiculous podcast.

The update comes after what she described as a challenging year. In 2025, she shared that she had a benign growth removed from her collarbone after scans and an inconclusive biopsy. Earlier this year, she also spoke publicly about weight comments and said she had gained weight while trying a treatment for PMDD.

Even with the difficult recovery ahead, Pansino sounded grateful for the support around her.

She also made one thing clear about her next birthday plan. After this year's accident, she joked that she would celebrate at a spa instead.

Bonnie Tyler, the legendary singer known for the iconic 1983 song "Total Eclipse of the Heart," has woken up from a coma.

A representative for Tyler, 75, told The Sun that “Bonnie is no longer in a coma, but remains seriously ill.”

The Welsh star, who is known for her iconic husky voice, is currently hospitalized in Faro, which is in southern Portugal. While she has a long road ahead of her, Tyler's prognosis is positive. Still in serious condition, doctors expect her to make a full recovery, the piece continued.

In early May, a representative for the singer told Entertainment Weekly that Tyler was in an induced coma.

"Bonnie has been put into an induced coma by her Doctors to aid her recovery. We know that you all wish her well and ask for privacy at this difficult time please," manager Matt Davis told EW. "We will issue a further statement when we are able to."

That announcement followed their statement that the singer had undergone emergency surgery in Portugal and was recovering.

"We are very sorry to announce that Bonnie has been admitted to hospital in Faro, Portugal, where she has a home, for emergency intestinal surgery," said a statement published to her website. "The surgery went well and she is now recuperating."

The statement continued, "We know that all of her family, friends, and fans will be concerned about this news and will be wishing her well for a full and swift recovery."

Additional reports shared that Tyler had gone into cardiac arrest after her doctors attempted to bring her out of the precautionary coma.

Tyler broke onto the scene in the '70s and made a name for herself with songs like "It's a Heartache" and "Holding Out For a Hero." Her most recent album, The Best is Yet to Come, was released in 2021. Still a frequent face on the touring circuit, Tyler most recently performed in London in March. She was scheduled to continue performing through May before she fell ill.

Retirement can sometimes feel lonely and isolating for seniors. But, experts say that there may be an easy way to beat loneliness in retirement, and it involves taking a walk down memory lane, where you can revisit some of your fondest memories.

That's right, some say that nostalgia can help retirees fight loneliness, and according to the experts we spoke with, it's actually really easy to get started.

The reason nostalgia is a powerful tool in the fight against loneliness lies in the way our positive memories make us feel, according to Jeffrey D. Green, Professor of Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University. He says it can do everything from enhancing self-esteem to boosting retirees' optimism about the future.

"Most importantly, perhaps, and most germane to loneliness, nostalgia deepens our sense of connection to others and sense of social support," he continues, adding that he believes that when people reflect on momentous social events from their past, like:

• Weddings
• Graduations
• The birth of children

They remember when their loved ones were present and responsive. "Nostalgia can buffer us from various psychological threats, such as social exclusion or the loss of meaning in life, and nostalgia also can help us recover from such negative states," he continues, citing a paper published by the journal Advances in Experimental Social Psychology in 2015.

"Retirees have to deal with a number of changes, and often the social changes might be changes that are more surprising or not as well prepared for," Green says, noting that people can underestimate just how important their work friendships are. "Since psychological research has found that we derive happiness benefits even from short interactions with strangers, simply having fewer interactions per day may reduce the well-being and increase the loneliness of retirees."

Want to harness the power of nostalgia to make yourself feel less lonely? Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein, internationally known Positive Psychologist, and the creator of The Enchanted Self says you'll need to access some of your fondest memories to see which ones are giving you the most pleasure when you revisit them.

"As we age, we collect an amazing storehouse of memories," she says. "We can look at pictures of loved ones from the past, also places we went, shows we saw." From there, she says people should make a "new list based on our old list," and then try to incorporate those things into present-day life. For example, getting in touch with friends or relatives that are tied to happy memories, or traveling to places that we miss.

"Nostalgia gives us a boost of energy coming [from] our personal inner core," she continues, adding that it pushes us in a unique way, making us want to get up, go out, and keep going.

A therapist who works with people navigating major life transitions echoes that view. As a psychotherapist and Master Grief & Transition Coach, Dr. Katie Eastman, PsyD, LICSW, says she often encourages people to think of nostalgia not as living in the past but as visiting the past for resources. "This perspective is supported by both Robert Butler’s Life Review Theory, which describes reflection as a healthy developmental process in later life, and Continuing Bonds Theory, which recognizes that maintaining an ongoing inner connection with loved ones who have died can be an important part of healing."

When people revisit cherished memories, Dr. Eastman says they often experience renewed feelings of love, meaning, gratitude, and connection. "In my work, I see nostalgia become a bridge that helps people navigate loneliness, retirement, and grief while carrying the best of their past into the future."

Becker Holstein's advice: Grab that old picture album with both hands and laugh your head off with a funny memory. "You will live longer and with more happiness, all because of the memories you have built."

These days, Brittany Broski is known for interviewing celebrities on Royal Court—including a recent episode in which Harry Styles revealed the 2010s look he now "deeply regrets"—hosting The Broski Report, and building a loyal following that affectionately refers to itself as "Broski Nation."

But before the podcast episodes, medieval-themed celebrity interviews, and Vanity Fair Oscar Party appearances, Broski was best known by a very different title: Kombucha Girl. Back in 2019, the internet couldn't get enough of a TikTok video showing Broski trying kombucha for the first time. Her rapidly shifting facial expressions, cycling from disgust to curiosity to cautious approval, instantly became meme material.

The clip spread far beyond TikTok, transforming Broski into one of the platform's earliest breakout stars.

Rather than retreating from the spotlight, Broski leaned into content creation.

Over the following years, she expanded beyond reaction videos and memes, developing a voice that resonated with audiences drawn to her humor, pop culture commentary, and unabashed fangirl energy. In 2022, she co-hosted the podcast Violating Community Guidelines alongside fellow creator Sarah Schauer.

The following year, she launched The Broski Report, which quickly found an audience of its own. According to reports, the podcast's debut episode became one of Spotify's most-streamed podcast episodes in the United States shortly after its release.

Mercury is approaching what astronomers call its "greatest elongation," meaning it's as far from the Sun in our sky as it ever gets. When that happens, it doesn't disappear immediately into the sunset light, lingering a little higher and a little longer after the Sun goes down.

That extra distance makes tonight one of the best evening viewing opportunities for Mercury, giving observers a short window to spot it with the naked eye. But you can also observe with a telescope if you want a closer look. Under the right conditions, Mercury can become the fifth brightest object in the sky, outshining most stars and rivaling planets like Venus and Jupiter.

Even though Mercury is one of the brightest planets, it's also one of the hardest to observe. It never strays far from the Sun, so it usually gets lost in twilight or daylight. What makes tonight's viewing especially special is that Mercury's elongation coincides with a new moon. With the Moon not lighting up the sky, the surrounding darkness will help Mercury pop against the twilight glow.

Your best viewing window is about 30 to 45 minutes after sunset. Head outside and look toward the western horizon in the same direction where the Sun went down. Avoid areas obstructed by light pollution, buildings, trees, or hills, since Mercury will appear low on the horizon rather than perched high in the sky.

When Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers released "Don't Do Me Like That" in 1979, they never expected a track meant for another band to become one of their biggest hits on the charts.

The band had already released three albums by the late '70s and released hits like "American Girl" and "Breakdown." For their third album, Damn the Torpedoes, Petty had developed "Don't Do Me Like That" years prior when he was a part of the band Mudcrutch in 1974.

Petty recorded it as a demo and had originally intended for The J. Geils Band to record it, seeing as Petty and the Heartbreakers were the opening act for the band during their tour. They had released hits like "Must of Got Lost" and a cover of "Lookin' For A Love." Petty felt "Don't Do Me Like That" was better suited for The J. Geils Band, but they had turned it down. They had rejected the track, according to SongFacts, due to them already being too heavily involved in developing their next album.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Peter Wolf revealed that saying "no" to "Don't Do Me Like That" was a missed opportunity. He explains having gotten a call from producer Jimmy lovine's office to confirm his address and received a cassette with Petty's handwriting. The note from Petty read that Wolf's band "can really do something with it."

"It was in the midst of stuff. Maybe we thought we had the songs for our album: 'We can do it for the next one.' I called up Jimmy and, I think, Tom and said, 'Love the song. I’m not sure we’re gonna get to it. But I do like the song.' Tom wasn’t sure of it for himself for some reason. It was lovine that ended up convincing Petty that "Don't Do Me Like That" was meant for the Heartbreakers, and they ended up recording it for their next album. The track ended up becoming the biggest hit of their careers, landing at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It later peaked at No. 3 when it was used in Stevie Nicks' track "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around."

Wolf looks back at the last conversation he had with the singer before his death, and "Don't Do Me Like That" came up. He had explained why he turned down the song, with Petty saying, “I gotta thank you for that. When you didn’t end up doing it, everybody talked me into putting it on the record. And it became one of my big, big hits.”

Renting a home, apartment, or condo means you aren’t on the hook for any repairs or maintenance, notes Kiplinger. As you get older, roof repairs, bathroom fixes, or even mowing the lawn might become too much. All of these issues are included in your monthly cost when you don’t own your place. 

If your home is paid off and you have no plans to move, staying in your home may be the better option. You have the option to pull equity from your home with programs like reverse mortgages or HELOCs if necessary, but you also don’t have to if you don’t need the liquidity. 

Homeowners do receive capital gains tax breaks once they’ve been in their home more than 2 years, U.S. News relays. If you decide to sell later on, you can save on capital gains due to long-term ownership.

Additionally, many people see passing their home to their heirs as an achievement to help build generational wealth. Even though you may need more services like maintenance and repairs as you age, the financial benefit of living in a paid-off home could outweigh the costs associated with those services.

We're less than a month away from America's 250th birthday celebration.

On Monday, June 15, 2026, The Smashing Pumpkins were announced for a special one-night show at America’s Block Party Concert Benefiting Giving 4th.

The '90s alternative rock icons will take the stage at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on July 4, 2026, hosted by Queen Latifah.

"America, we have an announcement," the post on Instagram kicked off, revealing that in addition to The Smashing Pumpkins, country superstar Chris Stapleton will also perform at the "landmark concert," with additional performers announced in the coming weeks.

Giving 4th is "America250’s new national initiative calling on all Americans to add something new to their celebration: the act of giving back through pledges for charitable donations," the press release notes.

Tickets for the event will go on sale tomorrow, June 16, at 10 am PDT at America250.org/LA.

Those who want to get in on the patriotic fun can also download the official America’s Block Party app, which allows you to "find a block party, access the livestream, and participate in Giving 4th."

“Playing the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on July 4 for America’s 250th is a rare kind of moment,” said The Smashing Pumpkins drummer, Jimmy Chamberlin, in the press release. “We’ve always believed in the power of music to be a unifying principle. It brings people together and allows them to express themselves in a forum that has a common destination- and it allows all of us the opportunity to participate in a celebration that has meaning, history, and impact.”

There are plenty of celebrations on tap to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence, including America250PA Commonwealth concert series, which will feature the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll herself, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.

The ’80s rock band will join an already star-studded lineup for one night only at Hersheypark Stadium on June 13, 2026.

Previously announced artists on that date include four-time GRAMMY Award-nominated group and Americana Music Association Lifetime Achievement Award winners, The Avett Brothers, featuring Mike Patton.

The concert series, which spans several dates, will also include Cole Swindell with special guests Gabby Barrett and The West Point Band at State College on May 23, which is sold out, along with The Fray and First to Eleven on June 6, also sold out at Erie.

The concerts are all free of charge, but tickets are required to enter, and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at Concerts.America250PA.org.

It's a big year for The Smashing Pumpkins, as the band will take the stage at Lollapalooza, the 4-day music festival in the heart of Chicago, for the first time in 30 years.

Formed in 1988 in Chicago by frontman and guitarist Billy Corgan, they last played the festival as part of the fourth lineup in 1994, when it was still a touring festival that traveled across the U.S.

They will hit the stage on Friday, July 31, headlining the Bud Light stage.

Fans can also see the band kicking off their 'Mellon Collie'-themed 'Rats In A Cage Tour' for fall 2026, celebrating 30 years since they released their RIAA-diamond certified rock album Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness.

Pepsi is coming for Coca-Cola with its brand-new customizable drink experience: the House of Treats.

According to a new press release from the company, PepsiCo is looking to provide a first-of-its-kind new soda lineup in the form of their new House of Treats, "a crafted beverages platform designed to deliver experience-first drinks" across the globe.

Like Coca-Cola's recognizable soda machines, Pepsi's new House of Treats will find themselves installed in high-volume venue spaces throughout the country, including malls, movie theaters, sports stadiums and other shared event spaces.

The resulting experience will allow each consumer to build their own personal Pepsi creation, one that delivers the same signature taste of the iconic soda brand, all without sacrificing time or efficiency when customers are in a rush to see their favorite musician, movies or sports teams in person.

"The role of beverages is evolving from functional refreshment into a much more experiential and culturally-relevant occasion," said Eugene Willemsen, Chief Executive Officer of International Beverages, PepsiCo. "Consumers are increasingly seeking personalised, elevated experiences that feel memorable and worth sharing. Pepsi 'House of Treats' is designed to meet that shift."

"Bringing together flavour, customisation and our broader portfolio in a single scalable platform for Away From Home environments, it gives our partners a simple way to unlock premium growth and operational efficiency while delivering standout experiences that drive stronger engagement and repeat demand," Willemsen went on to say.

Pepsi's new House of Treats first made its way to the United Kingdom earlier this month, specifically debuting at the Pepsi MAX SXSW London. In the months ahead, more House of Treats will debut in Poland, Romania and the Czech Republic, in addition to further expansion within the United Kingdom.

According to the announcement, "'House of Treats' will begin rolling out from June 2026, debuting a diverse menu of crafted drinks spanning distinct flavour profiles, from indulgent and refreshing to sensorial and innovative, including unexpected serves such as a hint of spice."

Some of the World Cup host stadiums are having a bit of an identity crisis—but one is leaning into it.

As part of FIFA's long-standing sponsorship rules, NFL stadiums hosting World Cup matches have been required to temporarily remove or cover corporate branding that isn't affiliated with the tournament. That means some of America's most recognizable venues are going by generic names based solely on their locations (i.e. Gillette Stadium has become Boston Stadium, SoFi Stadium is now Los Angeles Stadium, etc.)

But Levi's Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers, took it to another level.

Rather than pretending the situation wasn't a little strange, the denim brand decided to have some fun with it. After Levi's Stadium hosted its first World Cup match on Sunday, June 14, the company shared a Reel on Instagram showing a white tarp over the logo above the scoreboard. The branding may have been technically covered, but the logo's familiar shape meant the disguise wasn't fooling many people.

"Welcoming the world to the beautiful [redacted] stadium!" the brand wrote in an Instagram caption along with some clips of the sign.

The tongue-in-cheek response quickly caught the attention of sports fans online, with many applauding the company for leaning into the absurdity of the situation instead of ignoring it.

“Levi’s 1- FIFA 0,” one person wrote.

“This is like asking to borrow someone’s house for a party, but asking them to leave. WHOSE NAME IS ON THE FIELD,” another stated.

A third suggested, “Should have used denim to cover it up.”

The company went so far as to change its profile picture on the app to reflect the white covering on top of the logo.

“And then I saw the profile photo,” one fan noted, while a second said, “Changing your profile logo is advanced marketing.”

In addition to removing non-FIFA branding, stadium operators have reportedly been asked to install FIFA-approved natural grass playing surfaces and halt other events while the venues are dedicated to tournament use.

While it’s temporary, Levi’s knows how to make lemonade out of lemons.

President Donald Trumpcelebrated his 80th birthday, the U.S. started its 250th birthday celebration, and UFC Freedom 250 brought cage fighting to the White House’s South Lawn for the first time in history. So what really happened during the June 14th event? 

From Trump administration officials to the president’s children, it seems like everyone in Washington, D.C., documented the event on social media. And that means there are pictures galore from UFC Freedom 250! Here’s a look at the fun, fanfare, and festivities, courtesy of some of the White House’s top insiders.

Eric Trump posted plenty of pics of the event on Instagram, starting with a pre-fight match between himself and son, Luke, in the octagon. The presdient’s middle child also shared a sweet snapshot of himself and Luke later that night, sitting ringside along with photos of his wife, Lara Trump.

Even though her husband posted pics of her on his Instagram page, the president’s daughter-in-law also shared a few of her own, captioning her carousel, “Absolutely epic in every way.”

Donald Trump’s granddaughter (Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump’s 19-year-old daughter), Kai Trump, posted a cute clip of herself squaring off with UFC’s Dana White in the Octagon, teasing a longer video, “Kai Trump vs. Dana White—1 on 1 out on YouTube this week.”

Tiffany Trump shared snapshots of herself and hubby, Michael Boulos, in the ring along with a few behind-the-scenes sneak peeks.

The president's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., posted, "What an incredible night UFC 250. I've been blessed to go to so many sporting events, but literally nothing had this level of intensity and aura and it's very likely nothing ever will again."

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt enjoyed an evening out with her husband, Nicholas Riccio, after giving birth to daughter, Vivi, in May. Leavitt posted, "Mom + Dad night out for @ufc Freedom 250" on Instagram and shared a series of snapshots from before and during the event.

The U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Sean Duffy, posted a humorous clip of (presumably) himself dressed in a fighter’s robe taking a plane, bus, cab, boat, scooter, and subway ride to the Octagon on the White House lawn.

The internet was in an uproar on June 14 after UFC Freedom 250 heavyweight champion Josh Hokit used his victory speech on the White House lawn to bash former first lady Michelle Obama. One day later, the organizer of the event, UFC CEODana White, says he's "completely against" Hokit's tirade.

“I understand that the Obamas are public figures, but I’m completely against saying nasty and false things about people’s families,” White told TIME in a post-fight interview over text after Hokit called Obama "a man."

“Everyone knows my position on free speech but I hate that kind of nonsense," White added.

The situation started immediately after Hokit defeated Derrick Lewis for the heavyweight title at the massive event. “You know what? F–k this speech," the notoriously incendiary athlete began. "Shout out to [President Donald] Trump for having the balls to put some s–t like this on. And if I’m going to say anything, there’s only one person more incredible than the Incredible Hok, and that’s my lord and savior Jesus Christ.”

He also threw a jab about fellow fighter Alex Pereira's mother before concluding, “Last thing: Michelle Obama is a man! Am I right America?”

The internet was immediately upset about the statement, with commenters on X calling it "disgraceful" and criticizing host Joe Rogan and White for not saying anything in the moment. “The crazy part was no apology from UFC or the announcers saying they don’t condone that behavior. SMH,” said one.

Now, they're reacting to White's statement about the situation. While some are happy to see him call out the behavior, with one writing, "Good on him," others questioned White's sincerity.

"If he hated it, he'd fine the guy or suspend him. But he won't, because he doesn't," said one X user, while another added, "His position on free speech is you can say what you want as Dana likes it." Another added, "'I hate this nonsense' -Guy that regularly and intentionally surrounds himself with this nonsense."

If you’re part of the nearly half of adults in the U.S. with hypertension (aka high blood pressure), your doctor has likely already told you why it’s important to get your numbers down. 

Need a refresher? When high blood pressure is left untreated, it increases the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney failure—all pretty serious health impacts considering it’s a health condition that doesn’t come with any symptoms. In fact, according to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, many people with high blood pressure don’t even know they have it. That’s why it’s important to know your numbers. After all, if you don’t know a problem exists, you won’t know that you need to treat it.

When you’re used to eating a certain way for decades, making changes to your diet can be challenging. But sticking with a heart-healthy diet like the DASH diet (specifically created to lower blood pressure) or Mediterranean diet can truly be powerful. In one study, people who followed the DASH diet experienced a significant reduction in blood pressure, an average of 6.7 mmHG. To put that into perspective, clinical studies show that even a 5 mmHG reduction lowers the risk of heart attack, stroke and heart failure by 10%.

What if diet and lifestyle changes aren’t enough to get your numbers where you want them to be? That’s when prescription medications can play a role. There is also a surgical procedure that can help lower blood pressure, which is talked about less than these medications. Here, cardiologists explain it in full detail, sharing everything you need to know.

The surgical procedure that can lower blood pressure is renal denervation. “Renal denervation is a minimally invasive procedure that helps lower blood pressure by targeting nerve signals that can contribute to hypertension,” Dr. Sirisha Vadali, MD, a cardiologist and lipidologist, specializing in prevention, women’s health and cardiometabolic medicine, tells Parade.

Dr. Maday D. Gonzalez, MD,an interventional cardiologist at Montefiore Einstein, explains that during the procedure, a doctor threads a catheter through the groin to the arteries that supply blood to the kidneys.

“In patients with uncontrolled hypertension, there are hyperactive sympathetic nerves wrapped around these blood vessels that are the target of this procedure. The kidneys communicate with the body's ‘fight-or-flight’ nervous system through these sympathetic nerves,” Dr. Gonzalez says.

She explains that renal denervation uses radiofrequency or ultrasound waves to calm these nerves and disrupt the abnormal overactive feedback loop that contributes to uncontrolled high blood pressure. “The procedure is not a cure, but a method to help lower blood pressure over time."

Both cardiologists say that renal denervation is a minimally invasive surgery and is considered safe. But there are risks to be aware of. Dr. Vadali tells Parade that these risks include bleeding, bruising or irritation where the catheter is inserted, injury to the renal artery, infection, allergic reaction to contrast dye and, in rare cases, worsening kidney function. But she emphasizes that these risks are extremely rare. 

Does getting renal denervation mean you wake up from surgery and no longer have high blood pressure? Not exactly. The surgery doesn’t work like flipping a switch. According to scientific research, it takes between one and three months after the procedure for there to be a noticeable, measurable drop in blood pressure, with optimal results stabilizing between three and six months after the procedure.

On top of that, both cardiologists say that the procedure isn’t meant to replace medications taken for high blood pressure or healthy habits. Instead, it’s meant to complement them.

Not everyone with high blood pressure is a good fit for renal denervation. “It’s designed for certain patients whose blood pressure remains elevated despite lifestyle changes and medication,” Dr. Vadali says.

If you have advanced renal failure, kidney abnormalities, bleeding disorders or narrowing of the renal arteries, Dr. Gonzalez notes that this operation likely isn’t a good fit for you.

However, if you have tried to get your blood pressure under control through diet and lifestyle changes as well as medication, or you can’t tolerate the medications because of their side effects, both cardiologists say that you may be a candidate for renal denervation.

“For most people who are newly diagnosed with hypertension, lifestyle changes and medication remain the first line of treatment. Renal denervation is typically considered only after those approaches haven't provided adequate blood pressure control. The best candidates are determined on an individual basis after a thorough evaluation by a cardiovascular specialist,” Dr. Vadali says.  

While renal denervation is a safe and effective treatment for those who need it, both cardiologists emphasize that nothing can replace a heart-healthy diet and strong lifestyle habits. It’s the first step anyone should take to lower blood pressure, followed by prescription medications, if needed. If those don’t work, only then should renal denervation be considered. 

“The goal isn’t to replace medications entirely but to improve blood pressure control and potentially reduce overall medication burden in appropriately selected patients,” Dr. Vadali says. “Renal denervation is an exciting advancement because it gives physicians another evidence-based option for patients whose blood pressure remains difficult to control. However, it works best as part of a broader strategy focused on long-term cardiovascular health and prevention."

It just goes to show that food truly is the best medicine of all, especially when it comes to your heart.
