‘Summer House’s’ Lindsay Hubbard Says West Is Still Talking To Other Girls: A ‘True Fboy'
Lindsay Hubbard is not done talking about West Wilson.
The Summer House star posted another blunt message about Wilson on Monday, June 15, this time making a claim about his current dating life after all the drama surrounding his romance with Amanda Batula.
"Meanwhile, West is still out with other girls, and still talking to his other girlfriends, like a true Fboy," Hubbard wrote on Threads.

Hubbard's post came after she explained why she believes Wilson "manipulated" Batula.
"I'm on an airplane atm otherwise I would post a video," Hubbard wrote, before saying Wilson was the one who initiated the situation with Batula.
According to Hubbard, Wilson was the first to raise the question of whether he and Batula had feelings for each other. She then added that Batula is still responsible for her own decisions.
"Yes, Amanda is a grown a-- woman and makes her own big girl decisions," Hubbard wrote. "And yes, she needs to deal with those big girl consequences."
Hubbard said viewers will see a conversation between her and Batula in the upcoming episode of Summer House: The Aftermath.
The Post Comes Before 'Summer House: The Aftermath'Bravo is airing Summer House: The Aftermath on Tuesday, June 16.
The bonus episode includes post-reunion conversations about the fallout from Season 10, including the drama around Batula and Wilson's relationship. The romance became one of the most talked-about storylines of the season because Batula had been close with Ciara Miller, who previously dated Wilson.
Batula and Wilson publicly confirmed their relationship earlier this year after Batula's split from Kyle Cooke. The timeline became a major point of tension during the reunion.

This is not Hubbard's first recent post about Wilson.
She previously criticized him after he joked on his podcast that he hoped the NBA Finals would pull viewers away from Summer House: The Aftermath. Hubbard accused him of trying to hurt the same show that helped make him more visible to Bravo fans.
She also called him "trash" in that earlier post.
Her latest message goes further because it directly questions Wilson's behavior around other women while the Amanda drama is still playing out publicly.

West Wilson's 'Summer House' Future Is Also in QuestionThe new post also comes as Wilson's future on the show appears uncertain.
People reported on June 15 that Wilson is not expected to return for Summer House Season 11, according to a source close to production. Bravo has not commented on the report yet.
Wilson joined Summer House in Season 8 and quickly became a major part of the cast's relationship drama, first through his connection with Miller and later through his romance with Batula.
If he does not return as a full-time cast member, The Aftermath may be one of the last major places fans see him address the fallout directly.

John Stamos Spills Rebecca Romijn Divorce Details on 'The Really Good Pod'
John Stamos is reflecting on the dissolution of his first marriage on "The Really Good Pod" out now. The Instagram reel currently circulating as a “divorce revelation” is not a new divorce announcement but rather recent comments by John Stamos about his divorce from Rebecca Romijn.

In a recently posted Instagram clip, from the Wednesday, June 10 episode of Bobbi Althoff's The Really Good Podcast, the Full House alum explained that he "didn't want to get divorced." Referring to his 2004 separation from actress Rebecca Romijn.
The Really Good Podcast, hosted by social media star and internet sensation Bobbi Althoff, which features deadpan, intentionally awkward celebrity interviews, sheds light on Stamos' divorce. In the podcast appearance, Stamos said, “I had one, it broke my heart," and “I didn't want to get divorced. She wanted to.”
View this post on InstagramHe further explained how the breakup hurt him and that it took him a long time to recover emotionally. He also said that he now sees Romijn as having built a happy life and spoke positively about her husband, Jerry O'Connell, after a recent friendly encounter.
"It took me a long time to get over it. But I have to say that she has a nice life, she married another guy, and she has kids. They're doing great. I met him recently, which was very interesting."
"He was very, very funny and very charming.""He was very sweet," Stamos told Althoff of his run-in with O'Connell, although he doesn’t mention him by name. "We were at a party together, and he came over and was super nice. He couldn't have been sweeter."
"He was very, very funny and very charming," Stamos said of his ex-wife’s current husband. Stamos goes on to say that he hasn’t seen his ex-wife since their divorce. He tells the unaware host that he was indeed married to Rebecca for a long time, “We were together 10 years.” Stamos added, “I met him maybe once, 20, 30 years ago. But I haven't seen her since we got divorced."
Romijn and Stamos wed back in 1998, and their divorce was finalized in 2005. Stamos has since remarried, in 2018, to his wife, Caitlin McHugh, and also welcomed their son Billy, that same year. As for his ex Romijn, she and O'Connell wed back in 2007and share 17-year-old twin daughters Charlie and Dolly.
In a 2023 interview with People, Stamos said his divorce from Rebecca Romijn was “shattering” and one of the most difficult experiences of his life. He admitted that he struggled to cope healthily after the marriage ended and began drinking heavily during that period.
In his memoir, "If You Would Have Told Me", he reflects on his former marriage and his healing process. Looking back, Stamos believes the painful experience ultimately helped him grow, leading him to a better understanding of what real love is and, eventually, to happiness with his wife, Caitlin McHugh.

Jen Hamilton Announces New Partnership Amid Divorce Rumors
Nurse influencer Jen Hamilton announced an exciting new partnership just days after hinting at a divorce from husband Brian Hamilton.
"INTRODUCING: Jen Hamilton x Lilac Market SCRUB CAPS! 🩺💜" the Monday, June 15, announcement began. "You all have been asking us to make this one for YEARS... Meet our all-new scrub caps—designed with the internet’s favorite nurse, Jen Hamilton, and made with the same Lilac quality and comfort you already know and love."
The two fun styles — which will be released on June 19 —come in multiple printed patterns, including lemons, florals, pink striped, and chickens.
View this post on InstagramHamilton previously hinted at the collab in a June 12 Instagram post, teasing, "Something BIG is coming!"
The exciting brand partnership dropped just two days after the beloved labor and delivery nurse hinted that she and husband Brian Hamilton were going through a divorce.
"Day 1: absolutely devastated. Please don’t try to reach out to anybody on my behalf. That would make everything so much worse for me. Please just let me grieve," she shared in a since-deleted Saturday, June 13, post. "My heart is absolutely shattered."
Replying to one follower's well wishes, Hamilton wrote, "I’ve just never been enough for him."
The couple — who share sons Ellis and Luke — tied the knot in October 2012, while she was five months pregnant with their eldest son.
Despite removing the original video, Hamilton later broke her silence with a follow-up, begging fans to stop talking about her marriage.
"It is my own fault. I posted my real time pain for it to be witnessed. For someone to tell me I’m going to be OK. I just didn’t expect so many people to use it for content," she shared on Monday. "So now my FYP on every app is just video/statuses about me/him."
Jen went on to share that she still loves Brian and wishes the best for him, but called the situation "complex."
"We both are hurting, broken people. And I love him so much. Please send love and healing vibes his way, but do not reach out or talk bad about him," she added. "It’s my fault for bringing it here. I was just hurting and looking for comfort. So much regret."
Iconic ‘Dune’ Star Is Joining ‘The Lord of the Rings’ Universe
The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum is a highly anticipated film that will be set between The Hobbit and The Fellowship of the Ring. Several stars from the franchise are reprising their roles from earlier films, including Ian McKellen, Elijah Wood, Lee Pace, and Andy Serkis.
Of course, there will be some new faces joining the cast as well, including Kate Winslet, Jamie Dornan, and Leo Woodall. On June 15, Deadline announced another huge star who is joining the Lord of the Rings franchise. She is known for her iconic roles in The Queen's Gambit, Last Night in Soho, The Menu, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, and Dune.

“In the Andy Serkis-directed film, Taylor-Joy will play the role of Seren, a Sindar Elf of the Woodland Realm, a trusted and lethal agent of King Thranduil (Pace),” the outlet reported.
The news was also posted on Instagram by the official Lord of the Rings account. It said, “Welcome to the hunt, Anya Taylor-Joy” and has already racked up 70,000 likes from excited fans. Most viewers are excited about the news, although some are skeptical of the new character that Taylor-Joy will be playing.
View this post on InstagramOne commenter said, “Here we go with the made-up characters... But I'll stay optimistic until seeing it. At least she is perfect to play an Elf.”
There’s not much known about her character at this point. However, Gollum will be a central character in the story. When speaking about the upcoming film earlier this year, Peter Jackson told Deadline, “The Gollum/Sméagol character has always fascinated me because Gollum reflects the worst of human nature, whilst his Sméagol side is, arguably, quite sympathetic.”

He continued, “I think he connects with readers and film audiences alike, because there’s a little bit of both of them in all of us. We really want to explore his backstory and delve into those parts of his journey we didn’t have time to cover in the earlier films.”
The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum is coming to theaters in December 2027.
'Outlast: The Jungle': Braxton Shows 'My Girls' Amid Fans Are Angry at Team Charlie
Team Charlie is getting a lot of attention on Outlast: The Jungle. The camp started with two women, and they became more disposable with time. Braxton Fish addressed the backlash before and after the Netflix show's premiere.
Spoiler alert for Outlast: The Jungle Episode 4!
Braxton of 'Outlast: The Jungle' Says 'His Girls' Have His Back View this post on InstagramBraxton is an adventure vlogger and teamed up with Wes Saunders, Brett Johnson, Sarah Awad, and Leiya Pillitteri. Many viewers believe the men mistreated the women and Braxton made it clear that he noticed in his new Instagram post.

The vlogger shared a post full of pictures with women as he promoted the reality show on June 14. "This post is for my girls. All my baddies got my back," he captioned the images.
Wes, 37, and Sarah, 26, got into a screaming match in the first days of the competition. She didn't like that the football player took a break and lay down when they needed to finish their shelter. No one intervened in the arguments.
The camp began isolating Sarah as tensions rose between her and Wes. This was the biggest factor when they had a chance to get rid of a teammate in exchange for supplies.
Leiya, 26, hesitated to agree because that would leave her as the last woman. Wes told her that wasn't the right line of thinking. Leiya agreed to drop Sarah since she was outnumbered.
The men considered fire as Leiya's responsibility, and it wasn't accomplished. They talked about voting her out next. This further distanced her from the men.
"I got a mama back at home that loves me dearly back in Pearl River, Louisiana," Brett said in episode 4. "And I don't need no damn mama out here on the beach."
Leiya overheard the men complaining about her and she told them it hurt her feelings when they mock her. Braxton then copied what she said to Brett, then laughed. He told Leiya that she had to take a joke.
The women of Team Charlie weren't the only ones to butt heads with Braxton, Brett, and Wes. They also had a tense interaction with Abby Chu and Morgan Colburn of Team Bravo over coconuts. It's safe to say that Team Charlie made enemies with a lot of women.
The first six episodes of Outlast: The Jungle is now available to stream on Netflix. The last two episodes will be released on June 17.
Anthropologie's Cult-Favorite $35 Home Find Just Landed at Target
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
I love finding products that feel a little special but don't require a trip to a boutique store. That's why I immediately took notice when I spotted a cult-favorite home item long associated with Anthropologie suddenly appearing at Target.
For years, this product has been one of those purchases people rave about online and recommend to friends. Fans say the scent is unforgettable, the packaging looks beautiful on display, and the quality lives up to the hype. Now, shoppers can grab it at Target for the first time, making it easier than ever to bring a bit of that Anthropologie magic home.
The Capri Blue Signature Volcano Jar Candle is now at Target in the brand's iconic cobalt-blue glass jar. Target recently added the 19-ounce candle to its lineup for $34.99, which is about $5 less than the price at Anthropologie, though the one there comes in a more decorative jar.
Capri Blue Signature Volcano Jar Candle, $34.99 at TargetTarget
Shop It!If you've ever walked into an Anthropologie store and wondered why it smells so good, there's a good chance Volcano is the reason. The fragrance has become so closely associated with the retailer that many shoppers consider it Anthropologie's signature scent.
The candle combines tropical fruits with sugared citrus notes including orange, lemon and lime. The result is a scent that many people describe as fresh, clean and energizing.
Related: Target's Charming Melamine Serving Bowl Will Transport You Right to the Seaside
I can see why so many shoppers become obsessed with it. Summer is when I want my home to smell bright and cheerful, not heavy or spicy. Volcano seems to hit that sweet spot with a fragrance that's fruity enough to feel fun but clean enough to burn every day.
Reviews are filled with praise from longtime fans. One shopper wrote, "The hype is deserved," while another called it their "new favorite candle." Many reviewers say the scent quickly fills a room and lingers long after the candle is extinguished.
Target shoppers also appreciate the candle's stylish appearance. The bright blue jar and chrome lid make it feel elevated and easy to display on a coffee table, bookshelf or kitchen counter.
Volcano has expanded into lotions, room sprays and diffusers over the years, but the original candle remains the product people talk about most. And now that it's available at Target, I have a feeling a lot more homes are about to start smelling like summer.

Emma Heming Willis Opens Up About the Honest Conversations She Has With Her Kids About Bruce Willis' Dementia
Emma Heming Willis is sharing just how involved her kids are when it comes to the health of their dad, legendary actor Bruce Willis.
Chatting on "The Bossticks" podcast, Emma discussed her life as a caregiver following Bruce's 2023 frontotemporal dementia (FTD) diagnosis. Specifically, she shared how she keeps the couple's children, Mabel, 14, and Evelyn, 12, informed.
"When Bruce was diagnosed, the kids knew I was going to be coming home with a name of whatever this might be, and I told them it was, frontemporal dementia, and they made an acronym of Fantastic Turtles Dancing, so that they would be able to remember just the way the letters went," she recalled. "From there, I would wait and just wait to see what questions they might have."
"You have to be ready to answer those questions that you feel fit for them to hear in an age appropriate way, but it must be truthful," she added. "I have always told my kids that 'If anything changes, I'm going to let you know,' so they know that I'm never going to try and sugarcoat this for them, they, I think, feel confident in me, there's that trust that they know that I'll be able to talk with them and walk them through it, and they are supported, and I think that they're doing really well, given the givens."

Emma, 48, who has documented her time with Bruce since his diagnosis has also become an advocate and helps to spread awareness about early detection. In September of 2025, she wrote a book, entitled 'The Unexpected Journey: Finding Strength, Hope, and Yourself on the Caregiving Path,' on how she's navigated the major life change.
"I didn't think about caregiving," she said in the interview. "I didn't think that this would be a part of my life until all of a sudden it was a part of my life."
She also wanted to let fellow caregivers know that "it's okay to ask for help."
"We need to be able to bring in help, talk to our community, our family, our friends, sort of rally that idea of community that we have lost complete touch of, I think," she said.
Bruce is dad to Rumor, 37, Scout 34, and Tallulah, 32, whom he shares with ex-wife Demi Moore.

Sam's Club Is Selling a New 30-Piece Pyrex Food Storage Set in the Prettiest Summery Colors

I have a hot take, and I'm prepared to stand by it: you can never own too much Pyrex. Is there technically a limit to how many glass containers one household needs? Sure. Do I care? Absolutely not.
Pyrex is the kitchen equivalent of that dependable friend who always shows up on time and never lets you down. It's durable, useful and handles everything from meal prep and leftovers to potluck casseroles and mystery foods you swore you'd eat three days ago. (It's OK. You were a different person then.) Unlike flimsy plastic containers that warp, stain or develop that suspicious orange tint after one encounter with spaghetti sauce, Pyrex just keeps doing its thing year after year.

Pyrex Simply Store 30-Piece Glass Storage Set, $39.86 at Sam's ClubSam's Club
Shop It!It might sound silly, but part of the fun here is the lids. The moment Pyrex releases a set with a fresh lineup of colorful lids, my self-control starts packing its bags. Case in point: I'm obsessed with this Pyrex Simply Store 30-Piece Glass Storage Set at Sam's Club that has lids in pinks and blues. My refrigerator can look less like a chaotic food graveyard and more like a lifestyle magazine spread, and I appreciate that.
Plus, this set includes everything from five one-cup round containers to a roomy seven-cup container. The 1-cup containers are perfect for sauces, dips, berries or that tiny amount of leftovers you're determined not to waste. Meanwhile, the two-cup round containers are great for meal-prepped lunches, cut fruit or last night's side dishes, while the three-cup rectangular containers are made for sandwiches, sliced veggies and grab-and-go snacks.
Need something bigger? The four-cup rounds can handle pasta, salads and family-sized leftovers, while the generous seven-cup container is basically begging to hold a casserole, a giant chopped salad or enough cookies to keep everyone happy for at least a day.
Here's what else is super smart: the color-coded lids aren't just cute to look at; they make finding the right container surprisingly painless. Everything nests and stacks neatly, which means less cabinet chaos and fewer avalanches every time you reach for a bowl. The tempered glass containers resist stains and odors, not to mention they're safe for the dishwasher, freezer and microwave.
If all of this doesn't make my case for more Pyrex, I'm not sure what will.

1973 Classic Novel Was Denied a Pulitzer for Being Too ‘Obscene’ So No Prize Was Awarded That Year
Gravity’s Rainbow is a 1973 novel written by Thomas Pynchon, a famously reclusive author who has never given a traditional interview. Gravity’s Rainbow won the National Book Award for Fiction and was nominated for the Nebula Award for Best Novel. It was also recently listed as the best book of the ‘70s by Collider.
Gravity’s Rainbow nearly won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction as well. However, even though it was selected by the jury to win the award, the Pulitzer Advisory Board was too offended by the book to officially award the prize to him. Instead, they didn't give out any award that year.
As reported by The New York Timesin 1974, “All three members of the Pulitzer Prize jury on fiction expressed distress and bewilderment yesterday that their unanimous recommendation for a prize for Thomas Pynchon's Gravity's Rainbow had been turned down and that no fiction award was given this year.”
The outlet continued, “Members of the 14‐member board, which makes recommendations on the 18 Pulitzer Prize categories in journalism, letters, and music after jurors' reports, had described the Pynchon novel during their private debate as 'unreadable,' 'turgid,' 'overwritten' and in parts 'obscene.' One member editor said he had tried hard but had only gotten a third of the way through the 760‐page book.”

According to the book’s Amazon description, “Gravity's Rainbow is a postmodern epic, a work as exhaustively significant to the second half of the twentieth century as Joyce's Ulysses was to the first. Its sprawling, encyclopedic narrative and penetrating analysis of the impact of technology on society make it an intellectual tour de force.”
The book has a 4.3-star rating on the site and a 4.0 rating on Goodreads with nearly 50,000 ratings. Although some readers think the book is too confusing, others believe that’s part of its charm.
As one reader stated, “You know that very brief moment after you wake up in the morning? That moment when you're not sleeping but you're not yet awake. You kind of know what's going but you're not fully aware. You're in consciousness limbo. When you read Gravity's Rainbow you fall into this consciousness limbo. You read the words on the page, but they don't all make sense. You're confused, you don't know what's going on, but... You love it.”
Pynchon is still writing to this day. His latest book, Shadow Ticket, was published in 2025.
Netflix Adapts Bestselling Hockey Romance Novel 'Icebreaker' into New Series
The wave of book-to-screen adaptations shows no signs of slowing down, and Netflix is the latest streamer to join the trend. The platform has officially ordered a series adaptation of Icebreaker, the bestselling hockey romance novel by Hannah Grace.
Heated Rivalryand Off Campus has proven that hockey is the perfect foreground for tantalizing and binge-worthy TV series among book lovers and first-time readers. It's now time for Netflix to embark on its own hockey adventure with Icebreaker.
The streaming platform announced the young adult novel will be turned into a series, with details on who will play the leading characters still a mystery. Amanda Lasher and Jade Bartlett are both attached to write and executive produce the new adaptation, with Icebreaker being the first installment of Grace's three-book series.
“It’s been such a joy to play in Hannah Grace’s world of Icebreaker, a story filled with ambitious, talented, and undeniably sexy characters. But the real special sauce is that, above all, they are good, deeply compassionate people … and we cannot get enough of them,” Bartlett says. “Hannah has created the kind of world you want to live in, and Amanda and I are having an absolute romp with our incredible teams at Unwell and Netflix, bringing this cherished story to the screen.”
Icebreaker was released in February 2023 and is set in the fictional University of California, Maple Hills. What happens when an aspiring Olympic gold figure skater is forced to share the ice with a hockey player equally determined to go pro? The series will follow a hot and tension-filled college romance that will surely melt the ice.
“She’s the transfer gunning for Olympic gold. He’s the campus star chasing the NHL. But when an accident forces their teams to share one rink, Anastasia Allen and Nate Hawkins collide—and discipline gives way to obsession, because the only thing more dangerous than wanting to win is wanting each other," reads the logline.
Grace's novel spent 70 consecutive weeks on the New York Times bestseller list and sold over five million copies worldwide. According to Jinny Howe, Netflix’s head of scripted series for the US and Canada, Icebreaker was the "perfect next chapter for us." He adds that the growing interest in hockey romances and Grace's novel has helped redefine the contemporary romance genre.
For now, there aren't any details of who will play Anastasia and Nate, as well as a scheduled release date for the series.
'90s Alt-Rock Band Debuts First New Song in 8 Years
Iconic alt-rock band Hoobastank surprised fans with a new song this weekend, marking their first release in almost a decade.
During their set at Vans Warped Tour in Washington, D.C., the band debuted "How Do You Sleep?," a track that comes 8 years after the release of their sixth studio album, Push Pull.
"How Do You Sleep?" was produced by Howard Benson and is a full-circle moment for the California rockers, whose creative partnership with Benson helped define an entire generation and became one of the most memorable rock albums of the 2000s.
“I feel good about releasing new music. It’s kind of like a creative 'pressure valve' has been opened,” vocalist Doug Robb said in a press release shared with Parade. “Howard Benson’s enthusiasm was a big part of opening it for us. He gave us direction but also a lot more freedom than he may have previously.”
On June 14, shortly after the performance at Vans Warped Tour, the band released an official surprise music video for the punchy track.
Fans took to the comments to share their excitement over Hoobastank's much-anticipated return to music.
"Hell yeah! New Hoobastank music in 2026? This is awesome!" one fan wrote.
"Wasn't expecting this on my bingo card today," said another.
"How do I sleep?," commented a third. "With a smile on my face after I listened to this banger!"
Hoobastank formed in 1994 and rose to fame in 2001, following the release of their self-titled album released through Island Records. Hoobastank was certified platinum and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
Recently, the four-piece has found a fresh audience thanks to a resurgence on social media platforms like TikTok. Their 2003 hit, "The Reason," went viral on the platform following the #NotAPerfectPerson trend, with content soundtracked by the song receiving hundreds of millions of views.

Country Star Earns Fifth No. 1 Hit 9 Years After Beginning Career
Ella Langley has reached an exciting career milestone.
Over the weekend, the 27-year-old country singer officially notched her fifth career No. 1 song on country radio for her hit, "Be Her," which served as the second single for her successful studio album, Dandelion.
Since writing her first song in 2017, Langley has had four other of her tracks hit No. 1: her two collaborations with Riley Green — "you look like you love me (ft Riley Green)" and "Don't Mind If I Do" — and her solo songs "weren't for the wind" and "Choosin' Texas," the latter being the lead single for Dandelion that became a global succcess and marked her first Billboard Hot 100.

"Be Her" is the sixth track on Dandelion, where Langley sings about self-reflection, personal growth and the desire for a simple life. The song finds herself wishing she could emulate a woman who seemingly has her life perfectly put together.
In an interview on the Katie & Company radio show, Langley explained how she and her three songwriters — HARDY, Smith Ahnquist and Jordan Schmidt — came up with the concept, melody and title for "Be Her," and it was written in 30 minutes.
"Jordan was playing this one track, and one of us had the title 'Be Her.' He played that track, all I heard was, 'I just wanna be her so bad, it hurts so bad...I just wanna be her,'" Langley explained. "When you write songs, whether those lyrics are gonna change or not, it’s good to get into how the cadence of the lyrics are moving around… I kind of fill it in like a puzzle afterwards. So I just kept singing that, and all of us were like, ‘Oh, that feels amazing.'"
Despite the song being fun and easy to sing, "Be Her" tackles a deep subject matter, and it's really an admission of the type of woman Langley wants to be one day. The "Loving Life Again" singer says that the lyrics are "really her truth."
"It's not about being someone else; it’s about being the her you want to be," Langley continued. "I think there’s things that every single person on this planet would like to see themselves do better as a human being, you know what I mean? If you don’t, I do not want to be around you. I do not want to be around you at all. I was just honest; those are all things that I’m looking forward to in my life, changing about myself a little bit."
Ella Langley performs onstage at Nissan Stadium during CMA Fest 2026 Day One on June 04, 2026 in Nashville, Tennessee.Growing up in a musically-inclined family in Alabama, Langley's first introduction to music was through her church and jam sessions with her community. She started performing locally when she was just a junior in high school, before attending Auburn University to study forestry, and continued to perform across Alabama in various bars and festivals.
In 2021, she signed her first publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing Nashville, then a record deal with Sony Music Nashville and Columbia Records. By then, she had already co-written multiple hit songs for other artists, put out her own singles and even opened for Jon Pardi and Riley Green on their tours before releasing her debut album, Hungover, in August 2024. Not only did her first album debut at No. 77 on the Billboard 200 and No. 11 on the Top Country Albums chart, the single "you look like you love me" featuring Green also gained traction on TikTok and became her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100.
A year and two months after Hungover was released, Langley put out "Choosin' Texas," which also went viral on TikTok and reached No. 1 on the Hot 100, Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts all at once. Co-written and co-produced by Miranda Lambert. "Choosin' Texas" spent 10 weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100, the longest reign among female country singers. Her second album, Dandelion, was released this past April and debuted at the top of the Billboard 200.
"With this record, I wanted people to get to know who I am," Langley told Cold Alan of The Highway, a radio show aired by SiriusXM, while promoting Dandelion. "I keep saying that Hungover was the thing that maybe brought them to the table, but Dandelion's going to be the one that makes them sit down and eat. And for that, this is who I am. You could listen to this record and not meet me, not listen to me and you could understand who I was as a person and where I come from and kind of what got me here."

The No-Income-Tax States Retirees Love Most Are Hiding a Financial Trap Nobody Warns Them About
Retirees often flock to states like Florida, Texas, and Tennessee because of the lack of income taxes, which is great if you have a pension or are drawing on retirement accounts. However, a state has to make its money somewhere, and many seniors who move find they’re actually paying more when they're hit with unexpected charges.
Moving Can Look GoodA couple with a large IRA or 401(k) may be eyeing those no-income-tax states and thinking they’re a great idea. As far as those taxes are concerned, it is potentially a savings of thousands of dollars over the course of retirement. It’s completely valid, and many people plan for years before retirement.
The Hidden CostsMoving to a no-income-tax state can be financially viable as long as other forms of taxes don’t come into play. While not every retiree will encounter these issues, many do end up paying these extra costs.
Property taxes:AARP reminds us that property taxes in states like Florida and Texas are higher than in many other states.
Sales tax: If you’re moving to a high tourism state like Florida, you’ll likely pay higher sales tax than in places that don’t see a lot of visitors. Moneywise notes that Florida has a statewide sales tax of 6%, but many counties add more.
Insurance: Insurance premiums in states like Florida, Louisiana, Texas, and the Carolinas are often much higher. Some retirees find themselves paying 3 to 4 times as much for home insurance once they move to these places.
Utilities: Air conditioning isn't really an option in Florida or Texas. To live comfortably, you'll be running it much of the year. Electric bills of up to $400 a month are common for typical single-family homes. As the energy crisis continues to drive up electricity prices, this will likely rise further.
Healthcare: Where you live can affect more than your tax bill when it comes to medical care. Research from Milliman shows that while Original Medicare costs are standardized nationwide, the prices of Medicare Advantage, Medigap, and Part D plans vary significantly from state to state.
Medicare: You won’t lose your coverage as long as you stay within the United States, but costs and premiums could change. You’ll have to check your individual plan and how where you live affects it before moving to avoid surprises.
At the other end, states like Pennsylvania have fully exempt retirement income laws and may have fewer additional fees and taxes.

Your Old State May Not Let You GoBuying a home in another state and calling yourself a resident doesn't mean your previous state will let you go so easily. California, New York, and other high-tax states will take a deep dive into your actual residency.
If you maintain a residence for 183 days, that is considered your state of residence, and you can be taxed there. But days of residence aren't the only indication. If you're still visiting doctors in your old state, keeping meaningful belongings, banking, or spending time with relatives, you'll likely be considered a resident.
If an audit decides you never really left, you may be on the hook for years of back income tax plus interest and penalties. This affects snowbirds the most. If you keep a summer and a winter residence, you'll need to consult a tax professional.
The Type Of Account MattersTraditional IRAs and 401(k) accounts are the most susceptible to taxation, but anyone with a Roth-heavy portfolio has more shielding. The type of retirement account you have matters, and can matter a great deal when considering tax laws in the place you choose to settle down.

Putting It All Together: A Real-World ExampleIt's easy to read all of this information and get lost in the details. Here's a simplified, illustrative comparison of what a retired couple with $80,000 in annual taxable retirement income and a $400,000 home might pay in Ohio (a modest-income-tax state) versus Florida (no income tax).
State
Ohio
Florida
State Income Tax
$1,500
$0
Property Tax
$5,400
~$3,200
Home Insurance
$2,000
~$4,000-$7,000+
Total
$8,900
~$8,700-$11,700+
These numbers are averages that will vary depending on your county, insurance company, home value, and your personal tax circumstances. However, the basics are the same. The deep "savings" states like Florida brag about usually don't add up, and that's even before you factor in other costs like utilities and medical.
If you want to move in retirement, it’s best to do a full cost analysis of your new location before making a commitment. Once you understand what the taxes, insurance, utilities, and healthcare costs will look like, you can determine if that move will really save you money.
