'Queen of Rock and Roll' Makes Major Donation to Honor Doctor Who Helped Protect Her Voice

Thu, 06/04/2026 - 1:02pm

On June 4, 2026, rock icon Stevie Nicks just made a major contribution to honor a physician who has helped keep her voice healthy throughout nearly five decades of performing.

The Fleetwood Mac singer and two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee recently completed the funding needed to establish the Stevie Nicks and Joseph Sugerman, MD, Endowed Chair in Otolaryngology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Her gift helped reach the $3 million goal for the endowed chair, which was also supported by contributions from other donors.

The new chair honors Dr. Joseph Sugerman, a Beverly Hills ear, nose and throat specialist who has spent nearly 50 years caring for patients and helping performers preserve and restore their voices.

According to the press release, Sugerman has also played an important role in training future specialists through his work as an adjunct faculty member in the USC Caruso Department of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.

“Through late nights on the road, years of touring, hours in the recording studio, I always knew I could count on Dr. Sugerman to be there to help keep my voice healthy, just as he does for his other patients,” Nicks said.

“I am thrilled to have this opportunity to acknowledge his talent and insights and mark his many years of outstanding practice.”

The inaugural holder of the Stevie Nicks and Joseph Sugerman, MD, Endowed Chair in Otolaryngology is Dr. Michael M. Johns, director of the USC Voice Center and a leading expert in professional voice care.

Stevie Nicks and USC Share a Long History

Nicks' connection to USC stretches back decades. In 1979, Fleetwood Mac invited the USC Trojan Marching Band to record the title track of the band's landmark album Tusk at Dodger Stadium and later perform the song live on tour.

The collaboration became one of the most memorable moments in USC music history and helped strengthen the relationship between the university and one of rock's most successful bands.

USC wrote of Nicks in its press release, "Rolling Stone has called her the 'Reigning Queen of Rock and Roll' and included her in its 100 Greatest Songwriters and 100 Greatest Singers of all time."

Nicks has often spoken about the physical demands of life on the road, making access to specialized vocal care especially important throughout her career.

Dr. Sugerman said he was moved by the support shown by his patients and fellow donors.

“I am touched and humbled by the support of my patients who have extended themselves to create this endowed chair, which will be dedicated to advancing vocal medicine,” he said. “I’m especially excited that this will strengthen the outstanding programs at the USC Voice Center.”

The endowed chair will support ongoing work in vocal medicine and help advance research, education and patient care for people with voice, swallowing and airway disorders.

Trader Joe's Finally Reveals Brand-New Summer Tote Release — And They're Guaranteed to Fly Off Shelves Fast

Thu, 06/04/2026 - 1:00pm

When you think about Trader Joe's, the words "affordable" and "unique" may come to mind. With its array of food choices that fit most dietary preferences and budget-friendly store brands, it's a favorite stop for many. However, there is another reason to love Trader Joe's: their extraordinarily popular tote bags.

Details on Trader Joe's New Pastel Striped Mini Totes

Just in time for the summer months, the grocery chain has announced some concrete details about the newest additions to its viral bag collection. The bags, set to be released on June 17, are 13 inches long, 11 inches tall, and 6 inches wide. "The size is ideal for smaller shopping trips, to pick up those few items you forgot the first time around," Trader Joe's public relations manager Nakia Rohde shared.

The $2.99 polyester/cotton blend bags have a pocket on each side, making them ideal for a phone, wallet, keys, or other small items. They come in four varieties: pink stripes, blue stripes, green stripes, and tan stripes.

Trader Joe's

There had been rumors about the pastel-striped canvas mini totes for months, with influencer Trader Joe's Obsessed even sharing photos of them. At the time, several employees chimed in, saying they'd heard nothing about the new bags. The release of the Summer Fun Mini Insulated Totes on May 20 led many to wonder whether the rumors were a decoy.

Reseller Chaos and Legal Action

Crew members have reported being frustrated and exhausted with the focus on the tote bags. It's not uncommon for stores to see customers form long lines on days when new tote bags are to be released, due to the limited quantity each store carries. Many bags are also available on resale sites, often at much higher prices. Trader Joe's has addressed these markups in the past, as well as fake Trader Joe's tote bags.

"We are aware that some knockoff totes are being sold online and have recently filed a lawsuit to protect our customers from being misled," Rohde said. "At Trader Joe’s, it’s very important to us that our customers are getting what they’ve paid for. That’s one of the reasons we only offer Trader Joe’s products for sale inside Trader Joe’s stores. This enables us to put our customers first, ensuring they’re getting authentic Trader Joe’s products."

5 Books Everyone Should Read the Year Before They Retire, According to Experts

Thu, 06/04/2026 - 12:59pm

Reading can be a great way to relax. However, for those nearing retirement, it can also be a great way to prepare for what the future holds.

That's because there are plenty of great books that can help guide you in retirement, including financial guides that can help you figure out your income streams, to a fictional book that one expert says can teach you how to exist in a world where the structure you've lived with for decades is suddenly gone. I spoke with several financial experts to see which books they recommend people read a year before retirement, and here's what they had to offer up.

'Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less' by Greg McKeown

If you're looking for a book to read within a year of retirement, David Kerber, CFP®, CRPC®, MPAS®, ABFP℠, Managing Partner at Mercer Advisors, suggests Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg McKeown. He says that readers will be left with three key takeaways that will help them in retirement, including:

  • It's important to be deliberate about where you choose to spend your time and energy
  • How to identify the highest impact activities, which will help you cut out trivial stuff
  • How to design systems and routines that will reinforce those activities and behaviors

"Traditionally, this book could be viewed as a good read for the 'busy' working person who needs to prioritize what is essential, but I would argue it is as important, if not more important, for the retired person who may have more of a blank canvas and needs to prioritize what is important when painting that canvas," Kerber says.

'All Quiet on the Western Front' by Erich Maria Remarque

While many experts recommended financial-focused books, Elizabeth Ralph, a former trader turned financial educator at The Spiritual Investor, went another route with All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque.

"This may seem like an unusual recommendation because it isn't a retirement or money book." Ralph says, adding that what makes it powerful is that it's ultimately about what happens when the structures you relied on disappear. "Retirement can be a similar experience," she continues. "The book is a reminder that when one chapter ends, another can begin, even if you can't fully see what it looks like yet."

Trigger warning: This book is a novel about World War I, and contains death, trauma, and suffering.

'The Four Phases of Retirement: What to Expect When You're Retiring' by Riley Moynes

The book The Four Phases of Retirement: What to Expect When You're Retiring by Riley Moynes focuses on the often overlooked realities of identity and purpose in retirement, according to Jacob Sadler, CFP, Founder and Senior Advisor at Curio Wealth.

"The take away is that the transition to retirement is one of the biggest shifts in your entire life, understand what is about to happen, and the different ways it might impact you as you navigate a new reality," he says, adding that the people he sees succeed in retirement the most are the ones who "make retirement happen," instead of letting "retirement happen to them."

'Retirement Bites: A Gen X Guide to Securing Your Financial Future' by Kerry Hannon

A play on the title of the popular 1994 movie Reality Bites, Bobbi Rebell, CFP® and Personal Finance Expert at BadCredit.org, says that Retirement Bites: A Gen X Guide to Securing Your Financial Future by Kerry Hannon is a great read.

"It is aimed at Gen X-ers (like myself) who are approaching retirement and often forgotten between the boomers and the millennials," she says. "The book uses relatable pop culture references to grab the reader. It’s very story driven and if a money book can be a page turner—this is it."

That being said, Rebell notes that the advice is solid, practical, and accessible. "Highlights include realistic tough love, including working in retirement and health care planning, in addition to building a realistic financial plan even if you are starting late."

'The Psychology of Money' by Morgan Housel

Easily the most frequently recommended book on this list, The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel, gets a lot of praise for teaching readers that financial success is determined by more than just your investments, but instead your behaviors.

"The biggest thing is this: the financial transition into retirement is manageable," says Alex Langan, Chief Investment Officer and Financial Advisor at Langan Financial Group, LLC. "The psychological one is harder and gets almost no preparation time."

Langan says that the book makes the case that smart people make poor financial decisions all the time, "not because they lack knowledge but because emotions get in the way, especially during uncertainty and market volatility." For those about to shift from accumulating wealth to drawing it down, that insight is genuinely valuable.

‘The Hunting Wives’ Star Has the Season 3 Update Fans Will Love To Hear

Thu, 06/04/2026 - 12:56pm

There is a lot of exciting news for The Hunting Wives fans, thanks to star Dermot Mulroney. Not only is filming of the second season over, but there’s a positive update about The Hunting Wives Season 3.

Netflix has yet to confirm that a third season will happen, but Mulroney shared on “The Tangle” podcast that it is currently in prep. That means the writers are discussing storylines, and there is a good chance that it will be renewed.

In fact, Mulroney shared when production could start, saying, “And even better news, is that Season 3 is in prep. I think they’ve got writers in the room, and they’re cooking up a third season already. And that should begin filming in the fall.”

‘The Hunting Wives’ Season 2 Is Potentially Coming in 2026

While Mulroney couldn’t share when the second season would be released, there has been a discussion of 2026. Filming wrapped earlier in the year, and it is now in post-production, which does make a late 2026 release date plausible.

However, What’s On Netflix has said 2027 is more likely, and that’s often linked to the way streaming platforms will plan out a whole year.

Netflix may want to wait to see how the interest in the second season is before officially renewing the show. However, if the plan is to get the cameras rolling in the fall, it will mean making a decision based on the hype surrounding the first season.

Kent Smith

‘The Hunting Wives’ was an Unexpected Success

Netflix probably didn’t realize the show it managed to gain. Based on the novel by May Cobb, it was originally set to go to STARZ, but then the premium cable network dropped it when it and Lionsgate parted ways.

The series, which had already been filmed by this point, was shopped around, with Netflix landing the rights. It released all episodes in November 2025 with little promotion, and it ended up becoming a major success in the United States. It was quickly renewed for a second season, and the hype around it hasn’t stopped.

The series follows Brittany Snow’s Sophie O’Neil, who moves to a small Texas town in the hope of a much quieter life. She seems to find her tribe in an elite group of local women, but things take a turn when a teen girl is found dead, and now all eyes are on who the murderer could be.

Mulroney, who currently plays Chief Pascal on Chicago Fire, plays Jed Banks. When it came to playing the character, it seemed like a no-brainer, and he’s certainly having fun, sharing, “So, to be involved with something that really ripened on the vine is so exciting. And it’s a great character for me. I’m running for governor in, let’s say, an unscrupulous way, so that’s really fun to play.”

At 79, Steven Spielberg Just Changed His Mind About Aliens

Thu, 06/04/2026 - 12:49pm

Steven Spielberg believes in aliens.

Ahead of his upcoming film Disclosure Day, the director recently spoke to the Associated Press about how his extraterrestrial movies have changed his perspective.

“I’ve been a believer since I made ‘Close Encounters’ 50 years ago,” Spielberg said. “But I would always say: Until I’ve seen a UAP or a UFO with my own eyes, I’m not going to categorically state that life from out there has come here.”

The 1977 film Close Encounters of the Third Kind follows a group of people after they experienced UFO sightings and strange visions.

“But I’ve changed that,” he added. “I’m now willing to change my mind because of the circumstantial evidence which is overwhelming.”

The director’s new film follows a meteorologist and a cybersecurity expert attempting to expose a global government conspiracy hiding proof of extraterrestrial life.

Disclosure Day stars Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, ColinFirth, Eve Hewson, Wyatt Russell, and Colman Domingo.

Spielberg looks at the upcoming release differently from his previous extraterrestrial films.

“It’s my first film that will be considered science fiction that I do not consider to be science fiction,” he explained. “It’s much more reflective of the world as it is evolving and discoveries that are being made as we speak.”

Spielberg explored themes of alien life in past films, including E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) and War of the Worlds (2005). He opened up about the message he wants all his projects to share.

“I think every movie should have a great emphasis on empathy because empathy sometimes feels like it’s in short supply,” he said. “We have it, sometimes we can’t use it. Sometimes it’s not allowed to be used if you want to stay aligned with your friends and your belief systems. But I think empathy is there for all of us.”

Luckily for fans of the three-time Academy Award-winning director, he has no plans for retirement

“I never think about how many more I have,” the 79-year-old said. “I’m just hopeful that I will be inspired when something comes along, as I was with ‘Disclosure Day,’ as I was with ‘Fabelmans,’ as I was with ‘West Side Story.’”

Disclosure Day will hit the big screen on June 12, 2026.

Kylie Kelce Opens up About the Summer Struggle She Wasn’t Expecting After Baby No. 4

Thu, 06/04/2026 - 12:13pm

Kylie Kelce is getting candid about the part of her postpartum life that surprised her as she heads into summer.

The Not Gonna Lie podcast host, who welcomed her fourth daughter with her husband, Jason Kelce, earlier this year, opened up about how her body has changed after pregnancy and why swimsuit shopping has become more emotional than she expected.

On the Thursday, June 4 episode of Not Gonna Lie, Kelce discussed the specific postpartum change that has been bothering her as summer approaches.

“I need tummy control. You know what I mean,” she said, according to People. “I need something that covers my belly button because … Here's the true confession: You want a ‘not gonna lie'? Not gonna lie, I had my belly button pierced, and it stretched out with the rest of my belly while I was making human beings, and then it never went back. It is truly something that bothers me so much.”

Kelce said her belly button changed after multiple pregnancies and piercings, creating a spot that she now notices when she is getting dressed.

“Have you ever seen the lip of a rhinoceros?” Kylie joked. “That's what the top of my belly button looks like. Would you want that to be out and about?”

Kelce, 34, said she used to enjoy wearing bikinis, but now she finds herself looking for swimsuits with more support and coverage.

She added that she is trying to figure out what makes her feel comfortable this summer, including high-waisted swimsuit bottoms and possibly skirted styles.

The comments came as Kelce reflected on how difficult it can be to adjust to a body that no longer looks or feels the same after having children.

“It is hard to look at your body that does not look like your body that you've lived with your whole life. It has changed in a way that is permanent and now you have to figure out how to dress it, not only in regular clothing, but in bathing suits. That sucks,” she added, according to People.

A Bigger Conversation About Postpartum Bodies

Kelce's latest comments follow her earlier remarks opposing the pressure on women to "bounce back" after having a baby.

In a previous episode of Not Gonna Lie, Kelce criticized the way people talk about postpartum bodies, even when the comments are meant to be compliments.

"I think we should be more concerned about the overall well-being of women postpartum," she said at the time, according to TODAY. "I don't think that we need to bounce back."

Kelce has been open about the fact that some physical changes from pregnancy do not simply disappear.

"There are some things that we, as women who have just grown humans, cannot bounce back," she said in the earlier episode. "I can't bounce back my stretch marks. They're with me forever."

Kelce and her husband, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, are parents to four daughters: Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett, and Finnley.

The couple welcomed their youngest daughter, Finnley Anne, in March. Since then, Kelce has used her podcast to speak openly about the realities of postpartum recovery, parenting four kids, and the way motherhood changes a person physically and emotionally.

Kelce said she is still working through that adjustment, especially with summer clothes and swimsuits. But she also encouraged people not to let insecurity stop them from enjoying their lives.

NBA Bans Fan for Life After Courtside Selfie Attempt With Victor Wembanyama

Thu, 06/04/2026 - 12:13pm

During Game 1 of the NBC Finals on Wednesday, June 3, a fan ran onto the court during the fourth quarter, attempting to take a selfie with San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama.

As a result, the fan was arrested and has been given a lifetime ban from all NBA arenas, an NBA spokesperson told ESPN. They added that a "second individual will also receive a lifetime ban for his role in the incident."

The man, wearing a black hoodie, white shirt, and black pants, ran out onto the field before he was taken away by security guards. Because neither team had clear possession of the ball, the referees determined that it would be a jump ball at center court.

— BrickCenter (@BrickCenter_) June 4, 2026

“I’ve never been in that situation. I didn’t know how to act,” Wembanyama said after the game. "It really surprised me, almost as much as that time [when] a bat crossed the court."

Along with Wembanyama, many people reacted to this viral moment on social media, poking fun at the fan for not even being able to get the Spurs star's face in the photo because he's so tall.

"If you’re going to do this dumb (expletive) at least tilt the damn camera up," one person wrote.

"Risked it all and still couldn’t get a full picture with Wemby," another person commented.

"Risking a lifetime ban from every single NBA arena and potential jail time just to get a blurry selfie with a 7-foot-4 French dude is an unbelievable dedication to the bit," someone posted.

Unfortunately for Wembanyama and the Spurs, they weren't able to get the victory in front of their home crowd, with the New York Knicks winning 105-95 and taking a 1-0 lead. Game 2 of the 2026 NBA Finals will take place on Friday, June 5, at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, with the Spurs getting an opportunity to tie the series.

Paul Rudd Just Said What We're All Thinking About Airplane Mode

Thu, 06/04/2026 - 12:10pm

If you’ve ever been on a plane, you’ve heard the flight attendants tell you always to put your phone in airplane mode before takeoff. Recently, actor Paul Rudd said he thinks that’s “nonsense.” His comments came during the “Therapuss with Jake Shane” podcast.

Despite saying it was nonsense, Rudd noted that he had read that mobile phones can interfere with pilot communications if too many passengers are not on airplane mode. During the discussion, Shane told Rudd he puts his phone on airplane mode because he knows it won't work and it will save battery, which Rudd agreed was a good idea.

Related: Major Airline Forced to Remove Passenger After Refusing to Hang Up Phone

What Other Flying Rules Irk Rudd?

Despite saying that airplane mode is “nonsense”, Rudd says he does follow the rules. But it isn’t just the airplane mode rule that irks Rudd. He says that stowing your computer and putting your tray in the upright position is also nonsense.

He also says he likes to stand up when the airplane lands. When Shane asked him to elaborate, Rudd explained, “I do. Well, sometimes I'll be like, “Oh, we haven't come to a complete stop.'”

Passengers are only supposed to stand up once the plane reaches the gate, comes to a complete stop, and the fasten seatbelt signs are turned off.

Rudd is known to be a frequent flyer, traveling frequently for filming and press tours. He’s also known to take trips with his wife, Julie Yaeger.

Related: Major Airline Hit With $255K FAA Penalty After Crew Members Were Allegedly Cleared To Fly—Despite Positive Drug Tests

Why is Airplane Mode Necessary?

The Federal Aviation Administration requires passengers to put their phones in airplane mode during flights. This is a precaution to prevent mobile devices from searching for ground cell towers, which can cause radio interference. But this doesn’t mean you have to unplug completely. You can use a phone or a computer's WiFi connection if the plane has a WiFi system and the airline allows it.

Other rules, such as stowing tray tables and keeping seats in an upright position, keep areas clear for passengers in case of an emergency. Passengers are asked to do these things during takeoff and landing.

1967 Soft Rock Classic, Written in 10 Minutes, Became a No. 1 Hit 27 Years Later

Thu, 06/04/2026 - 12:08pm

In 1993, Wet Wet Wet turned "Love Is All Around" into one of the biggest U.K. hits of all time — even though the song was nearly 30 years old by the time they recorded it.

Screenwriter Richard Curtis was putting together Four Weddings and a Funeral and needed the perfect track to tie it all together.

He approached the band with three options. They could have gone with Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive” or Barry Manilow's "Can't Smile Without You." Instead, they picked a Troggs track from 1967.

Singer Marti Pellow said the choice was a no-brainer. They went with "Love Is All Around," he explained, "because we knew we could make it our own."

The song went on to spend 15 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the U.K. singles chart. It was played so heavily that radio stations eventually banned it, with listeners growing tired of hearing it everywhere they tuned into.

After that 15th week at the top, the band reportedly made the decision to pull the single from sale, which stopped them from equalling Bryan Adams' record of 16 consecutive weeks at number one.

Pellow later admitted they may have worn out their welcome that summer, but he had no regrets.

"We did everybody's head in the summer of 1994. I still think it's a brilliant record. Its strength is its sheer simplicity. Any band would give their eye teeth to have a hit record like that. I'm very proud of it."

What some may not realize is that the song had already been recorded decades earlier, before Wet Wet Wet released their cover. The late Reg Presley wrote "Love Is All Around" in 1967, and his band The Troggs released it that November, where it reached number five in the U.K.

As for the inspiration behind the track, Presley was watching a TV performance by the Salvation Army band The Joy Strings, who were playing a song called "Love That's All Around." In just 10 minutes, he reportedly had the whole thing written.

He later recalled the moment in the July 2011 edition of Mojo magazine

"I got back from America, I smelt the Sunday lunch cooking (inhales deeply), phaaaaw - after about 25 years on burgers - I kissed my wife, my little daughter, four years old. We went into the lounge and those Salvation Girls, The Joystrings, were on television, banging their tambourines and singing something, 'Love, love,' love.' I went over to turn it off, knelt down and hearing that 'Love, love' I got a bass line, (sings) 'doom, doomdoom, doomdoom, doomdoom, doom,' and I got: 'I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes. My wife, my kid… And so the feeling grows.'"

2000s Rock Band Announces First New Music Since Death of Former Member

Thu, 06/04/2026 - 12:07pm

Mastodon, a renowned heavy metal and progressive rock band, made a bold and heartfelt gesture following the tragic passing of their former guitarist Brent Hinds.

During their ongoing tour, the band delivered an exciting surprise to fans by announcing the release of their new single, “Your Ghost Again.”

In an Instagram post, the “Blood and Thunder” hitmakers introduced the new version of Mastodon as a five-piece lineup, featuring Nick Johnston as their new guitarist.

In addition, João Nogueira, who previously served as their longtime touring and session keyboardist, has now officially joined the band as a full-time member.

Although the rock band proudly unveiled its expanded lineup, the song also served as a tribute to their late bandmate, who passed away last year.

“’Your Ghost Again’ is about being in those familiar places you used to be with people all the time, which for us was in the studio,” vocalist and drummer Brann Dailor said in the teaser video, along with archival clips of Hinds. “I just kept seeing [Brent] out of the corner of my eye, where he would normally be with his guitar. It’s about that: Your mind plays tricks on you, especially so soon after someone dies and you’re in the places where they always were. You just see them.”

In addition, guitarist Bill Kelliher said the single captured Mastodon’s signature sound.

“We wanted to pick a song that sounds like Mastodon, and that has all the things in there, because it’s the first impression of what people are gonna hear,” the band member explained. “It speaks about things that have just happened and people passing; I could go deep, but I don’t want to because a lot of that shit’s personal.”

“Your Ghost Again” is the lead track from their upcoming ninth studio album and their first single since Hinds' death.

As mentioned, the major update came during their ongoing summer tour in the U.K. and Europe, which kicked off on June 3 in Hlavní Město Praha, Czech Republic, and will conclude on July 5 in Lisbon, Portugal.

Adding to their busy schedule is a headlining run on the Poisonous Weapons Tour with Deafheaven and Alcest, which will run from September to October.

Target Shoppers Say This Surprisingly Sleek Crocs Style Is Great For Flat Feet

Thu, 06/04/2026 - 12:05pm

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Maybe it's just me, but I prefer my summer style to feel like a giant exhale with looser silhouettes, comfy open-toed shoes and breathable fabric. The type of clothes that allow your shoulders to drop from a tense state and let you live. This can be anything from linen pants to tank tops and sweet dresses. I just want to feel like getting dressed takes as little effort as possible, all while still looking cute.

Footwear can really make or break this summer vibe. If you go a little too clunky or casual, you run the risk of ruining a perfectly good outfit. But trying to rock something overly flashy can detract from your relaxed intentions. Fortunately, I think Crocs has a happy medium. Yes, I said Crocs.

Crocs Women's Kadee II Summer Sandals, $29.99 - $34.99 at Target Crocs Women's Kadee II Shimmer Summer Sandals

Target

Shop It!

You know how Crocs sandals are usually all about comfort first? The Crocs Women's Kadee II Summer Sandals have that same easy, lightweight feel, but they give the classic style a much sleeker update. The new Z-strap design makes them look a little more modern, while the quartz colorway has a subtle shimmer finish that adds just enough personality without feeling over the top.

The good news is these sandals are still made from that cushy Croslite foam Crocs fans love, so they're comfortable enough for errands, travel days or just throwing on when you don't want to think too hard about shoes. The shimmer version is $34.99, but you can also buy these in a basic black for $29.99.

If you purchase these from Target, you can only order them online because it doesn't sell them in stores. However, customers overwhelmingly seem to think it's worth it to wait for them to be delivered.

"I have flat feet and the Crocs are so comfortable," says a shopper in their review.

Meanwhile, another customer simply cannot stop buying this exact style in as many colorways as possible.

"I have three pairs of these Crocs," she writes. "My fave are the leopard which I got online here from Target.com on sale. They are lightweight but still support my feet. I have seven pairs of crocs and now three in this style as they are amazing indoor shoes and great for shopping and running errands as well. If you are on the fence just try them! I’m a true 6.5 and wear a 6 in all Crocs shoes."

As you'll see from the product listing page, the Crocs Kadee II sandals have been offered in many different colorways in the past, but they sell out fast, so don't sleep on them if you're interested.

Which Timeless Classic Movie Star Matches You, Based on Birth Date

Thu, 06/04/2026 - 12:01pm

If you’re a fan of astrology, numerology, or simply celebrating your loved ones’ birthdays, you know that the day you were born carries a great deal of significance. In fact, it can offer valuable intel on your personality, worldview, identity, and purpose. Every birth date is tied to a ruling planet or luminary that oversees specific themes and areas of life. For instance, Jupiter, the Great Benefic, is the planet of abundance and fortune, and the moon deals with intuition, instincts, and emotions. By looking at your birth date, you can bolster your self-awareness.

You can also get a sense of not only who you are but who you were born to be by learning which classic Hollywood icon’s vibe matches your own. Read on to learn more about how your birth date numerology influences which classic movie star you'll resonate with from expert Maressa Brown.

Each Birth Date as a Timeless Classic Movie Star

Read on to find out which iconic Hollywood history-maker matches your energy, based on your birth date.

Born on the 1st, 10th, 19th, or 28th: Lucille Ball

You were born on a date associated with the sun, the luminary that rules self-image and purpose in astrology. You’re self-possessed, confident, a little bit theatrical, lighthearted, ambitious, expressive, and effortlessly glamorous, just like Lucille Ball. A Hollywood visionary who made her mark as one of the greatest TV stars of all time, leading lady Ball also made her mark for decades as a trailblazer and leader in the business, running the show behind-the-scenes and establishing sitcom standards that hold to this day.

Born on the 2nd, 11th, 20th, or 29th: Audrey Hepburn

You were born on a day that’s connected to the moon, which rules intuition, instincts, and emotions. Associated with the divine feminine, elegance, and romance, Audrey Hepburn, who studied ballet before making her Hollywood debut as the leading lady in classic rom-com Roman Holiday, exuded moon-ruled vibes. Charming, thoughtful, reserved, hopeful, and optimistic are all traits that could be used to describe the woman who portrayed Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady — and likely you, as well.

READ: These 4 Birth Months Were Born With a Creative Gift

Born on the 3rd, 12th, 21st, or 30th: James Stewart

As someone whose birth date reduces down to three, a number ruled by Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system that oversees abundance, expansion, and good fortune, your vibe matches the very same of one of Hollywood’s most beloved stars of all time: James “Jimmy” Stewart. Known for his integrity, character, and humanitarianism, Stewart had great success in Hollywood but was also lauded by the American Film Institute (AFI) for capturing “the essence of American hopes, doubts, and aspirations” and showcasing “idealism … determination … and vulnerability.” The major mark he made is nothing short of Jupiterian.

Born on the 4th, 13th, 22nd, or 31st: Hedy Lamarr

Because your birth date reduces down to the number four, it’s associated with Uranus, the planet of eccentricity, electricity, rebellion, the future, and sudden change. You’re someone who can snap your fingers and create, innovate, and mesmerize, much like bombshell-slash-inventor Hedy Lamarr who made her mark by starring in pre- and post-WWII films like Samson and Delilah and Algiers as well as by co-inventing a radio guidance system to help the Allied forces. The technology would go on to serve as the basis for secure wireless networking like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Born on the 5th, 14th, or 23rd: Bob Hope

Because you were born on a day that reduces down to the number five, your numerological planetary ruler is Mercury, the planet of cerebral energy, technology, transportation, and storytelling. It’s also the planet associated with Gemini, which Hollywood legend Bob Hope was born with his sun in. The iconic entertainer spent nearly 80 years in “the biz,” wracking up accolades in vaudeville, network radio, television, USO Tours, and he even hosted the Oscars a record 19 times. Known for his one-liners, the beloved comedian’s love of language, sharp, agile wit, and ability to command the spotlight likely mirrors your own.

Born on the 6th, 15th, or 24th: Marilyn Monroe

If you celebrate your birthday on one of these dates, you’re working with the numerology of the number six, which is aligned with Venus, the planet of romance, pleasure, art, and music. You’re deeply sensual, magnetic, charismatic, and in tune with the most pleasurable aspects of life, which is why you exude a Marilyn Monroe-esque vibe. Born Norma Jeane Baker, Monroe wore rose-colored glasses and longed for Venusian trappings in her life, such as a heartfelt romantic relationship and to be taken seriously as an artist.

OTHER: Are You One of the 3 Most Intimidating Birth Dates?

Born on the 7th, 16th, or 25th: Fred Astaire

Your imaginative, dreamy, artistic personality is colored by the fact that your birth date reduces down to seven, a number aligned with Neptune, the planet of mysticism, spirituality, and even film. As someone who feels most vital when you’re channeling your intense emotions into a creative outlet, you can fully respect and possibly even relate to “the greatest popular music dancer of all time” Fred Astaire who also made his mark in Hollywood as a singer, musician, choreographer, and presenter with a career that spanned 76 years. Graceful, shy, and serious about his craft, Astaire’s romantic legacy is truly Neptunian.

Born on the 8th, 17th, or 26th: Shirley Temple

Because you were born on a date that reduces down to the number eight, you’re hardworking, mature, and value putting your nose to the grindstone over the long haul, much like Shirley Temple who started her career in the 1930s as a critically acclaimed box office star. She went on to soak up the limelight in other ways, such as serving as a delegate to the UN, working as an environmental activist, and being a two-time ambassador. Biographer Anne Edwards described Temple as “smart as paint, tough-minded, and highly professional” — all traits that likely resonate with you too.

Born on the 9th, 18th, or 27th: Mae West

If you came into the world with a birth date that reduces down to nine, you’re driven, passionate, and fired up to pursue your most ambitious aspirations, because you were born on a day associated with Mars, the planet of action, sex, and competition. Given that the box office sweetheart and sex symbol is remembered as eager for success, frank, bold, and self-assured, the She Done Him Wrong star had intensely Mars-fueled energy. It’s no wonder that in 1935, she became the highest paid woman and second-highest paid person in the U.S.

A Beloved Fantasy World Is Making Its Way Into Everyday Life

Thu, 06/04/2026 - 12:00pm

Fans of A Court of Thorns and Roses now have a new way to bring a little bit of Prythian into everyday life.

ALEX AND ANI has officially launched a new jewelry collection inspired by the massively popular fantasy series, and longtime ACOTAR readers are already zeroing in on the Night Court details hidden throughout the designs.

The collection draws heavily from the dark, celestial aesthetic associated with the Night Court, one of the most beloved settings in Sarah J. Maas' universe. Fans will recognize symbolic references woven throughout the pieces, including stars, wings, hidden lockets and engraved details that nod to power, loyalty, destiny and romance.

For readers deep in the world of BookTok, the collaboration feels especially tailored to the fandom. Over the last several years, ACOTAR has evolved far beyond a fantasy book series and into a full-blown cultural obsession online, inspiring everything from fan theories and elaborate cosplay to themed parties and viral social media discussions.

The first collection focuses specifically on the Night Court and includes eight collectible pieces designed to feel subtle enough for everyday wear while still giving dedicated fans plenty of lore-inspired details to obsess over.

That balance is probably part of why fans are reacting so strongly online. Instead of looking overly costume-like, the jewelry leans more into symbolic storytelling. They're the kind of pieces that quietly signal to fellow readers that you’re part of the fandom without screaming it.

And for ACOTAR readers, that kind of recognition matters.

The series has always been about more than fantasy romance. For many fans, the books became deeply personal stories about identity, survival, found family and belonging, themes that helped build one of the internet’s most passionate reading communities.

The Night Court-inspired collection is available now through ALEX AND ANI's official website, with additional collections inspired by the ACOTAR universe expected to arrive later this year.

Why Finance Influencer Vivian Tu Takes a Helicopter to JFK Instead of a Cab

Thu, 06/04/2026 - 11:57am

When finance influencer Vivian Tu (also known as @your.richbff on Instagram) proposed taking a helicopter to JFK Airport instead of driving, the immediate reaction from most people was probably the same: "That's absurd." Tu's argument to justify the ride centers on a concept that many people overlook: the value of time. If you've ever anxiously counted down the minutes until your departure window in standstill traffic on the Brooklyn Queens Expressway or have been stuck underground on a delayed subway train, the BLADE price tag paired with the travel time can be a pretty good deal.

Taking a Helicopter to JFK Airport

BLADE, the air mobility company behind the service, offers by-the-seat helicopter transfers between Manhattan and JFK starting at $195 per seat. With flights taking as little as 5 minutes, the service includes access to a luxe lounge before your flight and ground transportation between the helipad and your terminal. All in all, it's a pretty seamless process compared to cars and public transit.

Cab and Rideshare Costs to JFK

Photo by Mitchell Layton on Getty Images

A yellow taxi from Manhattan to JFK carries a flat rate of $70, plus tolls, tip, and additional fees ranging from $2.75 to $8.50 depending on the time of day and destination. With tip, the total can run between $93 and $103 most days, climbing closer to $110 during the weekday rush hour surcharge window of 4 to 8 p.m. Rideshares can be cheaper off-peak, but there's always the possibility of surge pricing that can skyrocket past reasonable prices. Factor in 45 to 90 minutes of travel time with unpredictability of arrival, and the $195 helicopter seat starts to look less like a splurge and more like a strategic move.

A Budget-Friendly Option

While not as scenic as a helicopter, public transit is easy on the budget and a generally reliable way to get to and from the airport. The AirTrain connects to all JFK terminals and costs $8.75 if you're transferring to the subway or LIRR, bringing the total to roughly $11.75 from most Manhattan locations. Running 24 hours a day and connecting to the A, E, J, and Z subway lines, the AirTrain is ADA-accessible and takes about 50 to 60 minutes of travel time depending on your final destination.

Fly or Ride?

Photo by ALAN SCHEIN on Getty Images

The point isn't that everyone should take a helicopter to JFK, but rather to consider what kind of travel experience you want. For solo travelers in a time crunch or price comparing with cabs and rideshares, the math checks out. For everyone else, the subway will get you there just fine without impacting your travel budget.

Heidi Montag's New Dance Video Has Fans Divided as She Teases 'Huge Performance'

Thu, 06/04/2026 - 11:42am

Heidi Montag is preparing for the stage.

The former Hills star shared a new TikTok video of herself dancing to her song "Ex Machina," telling followers she has a "big show coming up."

"Big show coming up! Let's go!" Montag wrote alongside the clip, which showed her rehearsing to the track.

The post comes after Montag previously teased that she had booked a major summer performance.

"Jus[t] booked a huge performance this summer!!!!!" she wrote in an earlier TikTok post.

Montag did not reveal the name of the event in the video, but the post quickly drew thousands of comments as fans reacted to her latest update on her music career.

The comments section showed a wide range of reactions, with some viewers cheering Montag on and others questioning the performance.

"Why y'all hating? Go Heidi!" one supporter wrote.

Another fan praised Montag and husband Spencer Pratt, writing that both of them were "working hard" for their family after losing their home.

Others were more critical. One commenter wrote, "Not everyone needs to become a singer," while another added, "Heidi, love you but stop that."

The post also drew comments from fans connecting Montag's performance plans to Pratt's recent political run, with one person calling her the "First Lady of LA" and another writing, "Rooting for you & voting for Spencer!!"

Heidi Montag's Music Has Had a Major Resurgence

Montag's latest post comes during a surprising new chapter for her music career.

Her 2010 album Superficial received renewed attention in 2025 after she and Pratt lost their Pacific Palisades home in the Los Angeles wildfires. Pratt encouraged fans to stream Montag's music to support the family, and the album surged on the iTunes chart.

Montag has since continued leaning into music, including the release of "Ex Machina." The song's official visualizer was posted to YouTube, and Montag has been using the track in social media videos tied to her next performance.

The renewed attention has turned Montag's music career into a bigger part of the couple's public comeback, especially as their personal life, social media presence, and reality TV history continue to overlap.

Montag and Pratt first became major pop culture figures through The Hills, where their relationship, wedding, and conflicts with other cast members made them two of the show's most talked-about stars.

In recent years, they have become fixtures on social media again, especially after documenting the loss of their home and their efforts to rebuild. The couple reportedly still does not have a permanent home more than a year after losing their Pacific Palisades house, according to Realtor.com.

Now, Montag appears to be focused on turning her revived interest in music into live performance opportunities.

Rachel Cruz Shares Side Hustle Ideas for Stay-At-Home Moms, but Honesty, They're Great for Retirees Too

Thu, 06/04/2026 - 11:40am

With the cost of living on the rise, many people are looking for creative ways to earn extra cash—and influencer Rachel Cruze has come up with a list of side hustles for stay-at-home moms.

As it turns out, her advice is actually really good for retirees as well, and it serves as great inspiration for seniors looking to bring in some extra money without fully committing to returning to work. Take a look at some of her suggestions and see if any of these ideas resonate with you.

My biggest piece of advice? Start with what you're already good at and find a way to serve people with that skill. Tutoring, babysitting, meal prep, bookkeeping, flipping furniture, there are so many creative options.   And don't underestimate the value you already bring to your family. Finding deals, meal planning, and managing the household can save your family thousands every year. #sahm #sidehustle #sidehustleideas #extraincome

♬ original sound - Rachel Cruze Rachel Cruze Shares Some Side Hustle Ideas for Stay-at-Home Moms

Looking to earn extra money? Cruze has got some great ideas for you! She shared a few of them in a TikTok video on June 4, 2026, telling her followers that the best way to "earn extra income" is to do the things you're already good at.

Her list included things like:

  • Music lessons
  • Tutoring
  • Babysitting
  • Bookkeeping
  • Meal prep for families

And while most of these ideas are geared toward moms who already do these things with their own kiddos, they are also tasks many seniors may enjoy taking on.

Of course, her suggestions didn't end there, and she shared some ideas that would allow people to make money off of the things they already have—like selling things on Facebook Marketplace or renting out things that you're no longer using—and ones that would allow you to get those creative juices flowing, like flipping furniture.

People Shared Their Own Tips in the Comments

Cruze's fans were quick to share their own success stories in the comments. "I make an extra six to eight grand a year putting planters together for people," one person wrote. "It’s fun, and people love to outsource that."

"My mom always worked the elections as well," another person wrote, noting that some places pay $200 for a single day's work.

"I run a laundry business from our home, my kids go with me for pickup and deliveries," yet another person wrote. "It has been a blessing, and I feel so good being able to pay for my son's therapy and taking something off my husband's plate!"

Do You Have to Report Side Hustle Income

While it's clear that there's a lot of money to be made with some of these suggestions—like the woman who makes a few thousand dollars a year creating planters for people—that extra money can have tax implications.

According to the IRS website, gig work (another name for these side hustles) must be reported each year. The IRS has a page fully dedicated to this type of income, and you should carefully review it before getting started.

Those retirees who are collecting Social Security should also be aware that earning additional income may affect their benefits, but only for those who haven't reached full retirement age yet. Those who have (currently 67 for anyone born in 1960 or later) can earn as much as they'd like without any reduction in benefits. Either way, it's worth talking to a financial advisor before diving in to make sure a side hustle doesn't create any unexpected financial complications for you down the line.

Kathy Hilton Steps Down From WeHo Pride Honor After Backlash Over 'RHOBH' Controversies

Thu, 06/04/2026 - 11:32am

Kathy Hilton will no longer serve as Grand Marshal Icon for the 2026 WeHo Pride Parade.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was previously announced as one of this year's West Hollywood Pride honorees, but the city and parade organizers confirmed Wednesday that she will no longer hold the honorary role following community pushback.

"The announcement of Kathy Hilton as Grand Marshal Icon for the 2026 WeHo Pride Parade has generated a range of perspectives across our community," the City of West Hollywood and WeHo Pride organizers said in a joint statement, according to Entertainment Weekly. "In recent days, community members have shared thoughtful feedback regarding the role and significance of Pride honorees."

The statement continued, "After thoughtful discussions, the City of West Hollywood, the WeHo Pride production team, and Kathy Hilton have determined that the 2026 WeHo Pride Parade will not designate a Grand Marshal Icon honoree."

Hilton had been set to appear in the ceremonial role at the parade on Sunday, June 7.

Why Kathy Hilton's WeHo Pride Honor Drew Backlash

Hilton's selection drew criticism from some community members after she was named Grand Marshal Icon.

According to Entertainment Weekly, critics raised concerns about Hilton's alleged ties to President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement. The outlet also noted that Hilton faced renewed attention over an allegation from her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costar Erika Jayne, who previously claimed Hilton used a homophobic slur during a cast trip to Aspen, Colo.

Hilton has denied making the alleged comment.

Entertainment Weekly also reported that Indigenous Pride LA had pulled out of this year's event after Hilton's selection, saying the choice did not align with the values and lived experiences the group wanted Pride to uplift.

Kathy Hilton Responds After Stepping Down

Hilton addressed the change in the statement, saying she was honored to have been considered.

"I am honored to have been considered for this recognition and appreciative of the support I have received from members of the community throughout the years," Hilton said, according to Entertainment Weekly.

She said her reason for wanting to be involved in WeHo Pride was "simple."

"To celebrate, support, and share in the joy of a community that means a great deal to so many people," Hilton said. "Pride is, and always will be, about celebrating and uplifting LGBTQ+ voices, experiences, and achievements."

Hilton also pointed to her past support for LGBTQ+ organizations and causes, including GLAAD initiatives, the Elton John AIDS Foundation, the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, God's Love We Deliver and Project Angel Food.

"My support for the community and WeHo Pride is unwavering," Hilton said.

What WeHo Pride Said About the Decision View this post on Instagram

WeHo Pride organizers also thanked Hilton for her response to the controversy.

"The City of West Hollywood and WeHo Pride Parade organizers thank Kathy Hilton for her grace and her continued support of the LGBTQ+ community," the organization said, according to Us Weekly. "Pride has always been strongest when it genuinely reflects the community."

The statement added that WeHo Pride is strengthened by "open dialogue, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to inclusion."

The city had announced Hilton as the 2026 Grand Marshal Icon in May, praising her "commitment to the LGBTQ+ community, allyship in the entertainment industry, and unwavering support across pop culture."

The original announcement also named former Los Angeles Rams Cheerleaders Quinton Peron and Napoleon Jinnies, along with the current Los Angeles Rams Cheerleaders, as Trailblazer Icons for the parade.

The Parade Will Still Go On

The 2026 WeHo Pride Parade is still scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 7, at noon on Santa Monica Boulevard.

This year's WeHo Pride Weekend runs from Friday, June 5, through Sunday, June 7, with events including the WeHo Pride Street Fair, OUTLOUD Music Festival, Women's Freedom Festival, Dyke March, and WeHo Pride Parade.

Hilton will not hold the Grand Marshal Icon title, and organizers said the 2026 parade will not designate anyone else for that specific honor this year.
