Ella Langley Just Earned High Praise From This Beloved ‘90s Country Icon
Ella Langley has had a wildly successful year, with three songs in the top five of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. She’s even made her way into the Billboard Artist 100 chart, and her rise in fame shows no signs of stopping. Even Shania Twain can’t get enough of her music.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Twain complimented Langley’s style. When asked if the success of the rising country star reminded her of her own, Twain said, “I see her as an authentic songwriter.”
“She sounds original,” Twain said. “That’s already a bonus, right? So we already can hear the difference, and she really does seem very unapologetic. That commands respect. I sense that in her, in her aura, and her persona, and the way she delivers a song. I believe what she’s saying.”
This isn’t the first time Twain has complimented Langley. Ahead of meeting for the first time at the ACM Awards in May, Twain spoke with USA Today about her music.
“[Ella] brings me back to the early country that I grew up with and was singing as a child," Twain said. "I've heard a lot of producers and writers say, 'Well, we don't want to be too country,' or, 'That's too country.' And I'm thinking, 'What is too country?' So Ella Langley to me is really country Western and I've missed that in the genre."
Following the ACM Awards, Langley posted a cover of Twain’s song “You’re Still the One” on TikTok.
“I’ll never get over this song,” Langley captioned the video.
“So flattered ❤️,” Twain commented. “Loved getting to connect at ACMs xx.”

Recall Issued for Canned Soup Sold at Walmart, Kroger, Albertsons
If you keep canned soup in the pantry, it’s time to check your shelves. Amy’s Kitchen has issued a voluntary recall of over 184,000 cans of its soup over a defect that could increase the risk of spoilage.

A spokesperson for Amy’s Kitchen told NBC Bay Area that “the defect could cause the product to spoil, and the decision was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the quality and safety of our products.” The can’s easy-pull tab on the affected products has a manufacturing defect, the representative told the outlet.
A total of 15,350 cases of Amy’s Organic Lentil Soup - Light in Sodium were affected by the issue, coming in at over 184,000 cans of soup. The company sells its canned soups nationwide, including at popular chains like Walmart, Kroger, and Albertsons.

The affected soups were sold in 27 states and Canada, and have lot number 60D0924 and a best-by date of April 2027. They were distributed in the following states:
Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Maine, Missouri, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

According to the Food and Drug Administration’s enforcement report of the recall, it was categorized as a Class II recall on July 14. The government agency defines a Class II recall as “a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”

Nancy Guthrie Update: Full Contents of First Chilling Ransom Note Revealed After 5 Months
Nearly five months after Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her Tucson, Arizona, home, the public is finally getting its first chance to hear the full contents of the first ransom note that was sent in connection to the case.
The note, which was sent to a variety of news organizations shortly after Guthrie's disappearance, was recently read during an episode of the Crime Junkie podcast by journalist Briana Whitney.
"Hello, Savannah," the note began. "We have your mother, Nancy. She is safe but scared. She will be held for ransom and once payment is received, she will be released unharmed. We will be holding her for a maximum of seven days."
Whitney goes on to say that the money demands came next, confirming that the amount requested was specifically written in "USD." Whitney believes this is a key part of the note as it implies that the note wasn't sent from someone in the United States.
"Once payment in received to the Bitcoin address below," the note continued, "she will be released, within 12 hours of deposit, to a safe drop off location back in Tucson. If the payment is not received, by the last deadline on Monday the 9th at 5 p.m., she will be killed. Your mother is aware of this and her life is in your hands. It is in the best interest of everyone to have this completed as soon as possible. You will not be able to contact me from here on out. There will be no negotiation. Do not play games. Law enforcement will not be able to help you."
There have been conflicting reports about the legitimacy of this ransom note. On June 30, Reuters reported that an FBI official confirmed that the ransom notes weren't legitimate. However, TMZ's Harvey Levin refuted that claim, saying that he spoke to his contacts in the FBI and they said "it is more likely than not that the two ransom notes are real."
The FBI then released its own statement, saying that some of the ransom notes were extortion attempts and others were still under investigation.
Guthrie, 84, has been missing since Feb. 1. Investigators believe that she was abducted from her home in the middle of the night. Despite releasing footage obtained from a Google Nest camera at Guthrie's front door, a suspect has yet to be identified.

We spoke with Dr. Rachel Rengifo, a licensed clinical psychologist working in private practice in New Jersey; Dr. Sarah Lebovitz Suria, a licensed psychologist and children's admissions strategist in Pennsylvania; and Dr. Becky Fenton, PsyD, a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in child psychology in New York.
Interestingly, all three psychologists agree on the most underrated parenting habit—and fortunately, this habit is something that is not only easy to incorporate into your family's routine, but it's also enjoyable! Keep reading to learn more.

This Is the Most 'Underrated' Positive Parenting Habit, According to 3 PsychologistsDr. Rengifo, Dr. Suria and Dr. Fenton all agree on the most underrated positive parenting habit: laughing and having fun with your kids.
"Laughing with your children may be one of the most underrated parenting habits because it often gets treated as a bonus rather than an essential part of healthy development," Dr. Suria explains to Parade.
"Parents spend so much time thinking about routines, discipline, homework and behavior that they can unintentionally overlook the value of simply enjoying one another," she continues. "Shared laughter is one of the clearest expressions of emotional safety and connection. When children laugh with a parent, they experience moments where they aren't being corrected, coached or evaluated."
Laughter and joy have so many benefits for the entire familyAccording to Dr. Rengifo, "Research consistently shows that one of the most powerful factors in a child’s well-being is a warm, connected relationship with their parents."
Plus, laughter can have a positive effect on our nervous system and mental health, per Dr. Fenton.
"Families that laugh together stay together. When we laugh and have fun, we want to be in the presence of each other," she tells Parade. "Beyond that, when we laugh, the body produces endorphins that help with stress reduction and improve mood."
Not only that, but a child's memories of laughing and playing with their parents can carry over into adulthood.
"Those moments strengthen the relationship children draw on when life becomes harder," shares Dr. Suria. "Joy isn't a break from the work of parenting. It's part of the work, because children who feel genuinely enjoyed by their parents often develop the confidence to explore, take healthy risks, and return to that relationship as a secure base."

How To Laugh and Have More Fun With Your KidsTaking time every day to laugh and have fun with your kids is something worth prioritizing—and it can start by simply spending more time with your kids at home.
"When you hear your kids laughing, stop what you are doing and go see what is making them laugh. Ask what is so funny," Dr. Rengifo advises. "Be curious. Let yourself be silly. The dishes, emails and to-do lists will still be there. Childhood, however, moves quickly. Sometimes the most important parenting happens not when we are teaching, correcting or organizing, but when we are simply enjoying our children and allowing them to enjoy us in return."
And to add more laughter into your family's life, there's no need to spend a lot of money.
"Connection does not require elaborate activities or expensive outings. It is often built through small, everyday moments of shared joy," the psychologist tells Parade, suggesting simple activities like playing card games and dancing around the house—anything that will get them "laughing until their stomachs hurt."
"These seemingly ordinary moments often become the memories that last," she adds.
Alternatively, if you can afford to invest some time and money into filling your kids' lives with more laughter, Dr. Fenton recommends taking your family to an escape room. She's found that activities like this can help with "strengthening executive function skills, improving communication and problem-solving."

4 More 'Underrated' Positive Parenting Habits, According to Psychologists1. Owning your own mistakes out loud"When parents acknowledge mistakes, apologize sincerely and work to do better, children learn accountability, humility and trust from parental behavior," explains Dr. Rengifo. "It’s also OK to admit when you don’t have all the answers. Children benefit from seeing that adults are still learning too."
For instance, she recommends apologizing after an argument by saying "I overreacted, and I’m sorry," as it can strengthen your connection much more than simply ignoring what happened.
Or, when you don't know the answer to something, tell your child, "I’m not sure of the best way to handle this, but let’s figure it out together." This models skills like curiosity, resilience and problem-solving.
Similarly, Dr. Suria recommends parents use a phrase like "I got that wrong. Let me try again," after making a mistake. This teaches kids that "mistakes are information, not evidence that something is wrong with them."
"Children benefit from seeing adults recover from mistakes, not just expect children to recover from theirs," she adds. "Over time, they learn that mistakes can be acknowledged, repaired and learned from, rather than hidden or feared."
2. Letting boredom sit unresolvedWhen kids are bored, parents are often tempted to fill the silence with an activity or chore. However, according to Dr. Suria, "unstructured time is often where children begin
building creativity, initiative and independent problem-solving."
She continues: "When children learn to move through boredom instead of being rescued from it, they discover they're capable of creating, exploring and figuring out what comes next on their own."
3. Staying calm in stressful situationsAccording to Dr. Fenton, acting calm during a stressful moment has two important benefits. Firstly, it helps diffuse the situation. Secondly, it models to your child the benefits of staying cool under pressure.
"In dialectical behavior therapy treatment, we call this opposite action," she explains. "This is acting opposite to the emotion. So instead of getting more stressed out under stress, you approach the situation in a calm, matter-of-fact way. This helps calm your nervous system, helps you cope effectively and utilizes problem-solving skills."
4. Letting your kids struggle"When parents immediately step in to fix problems or prevent discomfort, children can miss opportunities to develop problem-solving skills and trust in their own abilities," explains Dr. Rengifo.
In some cases, it's best to just sit back and let kids figure problems out for themselves. This might look like letting your toddler struggle a bit to reach a toy, or encouraging your child to speak with their coach about a problem on the soccer field rather than doing it for them.
"These small moments teach an important lesson: 'I can do hard things,'" she adds. "Over time, that lesson becomes the foundation of resilience, confidence and independence."

Fred Astaire was a legendary dancer, actor, singer, choreographer, and presenter. He received three Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, a Grammy, and a BAFTA. He also received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 and was named the fifth-greatest male star of Classic Hollywood cinema by the American Film Institute.
A biopic about the icon is currently in production with Tom Holland playing the lead. When speaking about the role, Holland told Good Morning America. “I now feel like I’m starting this chapter where I can’t quite get away with being a teenager anymore. For me, what I love about my job is the challenges. We have Fred Astaire next, which is what we’re planning on doing. And as soon as I finish with these tours, I’m diving back into the dance studio.”

He went viral in 2017 for his Lip Sync Battle, where he performed “Singing in the Rain.” He also appeared in Billy Elliott the Musical, which required a great deal of dancing. According to People, Mari almost made her acting debut on husband Josh Duhamel’s show Ransom Canyon. "My wife was on the show too. Yeah, she did a cameo," Duhamel said. "She was Davis' [Eoin Macken] girlfriend [that] he brought to the party, but they cut her out! Poor thing."

The significant age gap actually prevented Duhamel from making a move for a while, as he thought she was too young for him. He followed her career as a North Dakota pageant queen, since he is also from North Dakota, but didn’t think anything romantic would come from their relationship.
"It was truly platonic for like years before that because I was like, 'Nah, she's too young, I'm not even going to go there,' and then we started DM’ing back and forth," Duhamel said in a May 2025 episode of Not Skinny But Not Fat.
"I invited her to a barbecue, still thinking it was totally platonic, just as a friend [from North Dakota]. There aren't too many people from there," Duhamel continued. “She did come, and I was like, 'Holy s--t, this girl is beautiful. No, I can't. She's too young. I can't do it.' But then she's more mature than I am, and that's really how we started dating, and it's been a beautiful thing."

Josh Duhamel and Audra Mari started dating sometime in 2019, if paparazzi pictures are anything to go by. The two were photographed kissing at a Toronto airport on Oct. 2, 2019, while Duhamel was up north filming Jupiter’s Legacy.
That year, Duhamel was going through a very public divorce from ex-wife Fergie, which is probably why his love life was under scrutiny. In December of that year, a few weeks after his divorce was finalized, he was spotted with Mari at a Los Angeles Christmas party. At the time, a source told People they’d been together for seven or eight months.

Yes, Josh Duhamel was married to Fergie—also known as Stacy Ann Ferguson—from 2009 to 2019. They met in 2004 when the Black Eyed Peas made a cameo on Duhamel’s show Las Vegas.
Duhamel, who’d had a crush on the pop star, made quite the first impression. "After they finished rehearsing, I was walking out, and all of a sudden, she was walking toward me," he said in a 2007 issue of Best Life, as reported by People. "I was like, 'Oh boy.' She stopped. And this is so sad, but I said, in this desperate voice, 'You're hot!' The crush of a lifetime, and that was my line!"
The line worked, though. The pair would date for five years before marrying, and their marriage lasted 10. They continue to co-parent their son Axl.

“Honestly, I felt like each season I got to play a different aspect of his character,” Gilford tells Parade in this exclusive interview. “The first season was more someone who's trying to parade as a family man and keep his life together and keep his dark side in the shadows. The second, he's like a rat in a cage and just trying to get out of there. The third, he has amnesia. He's learning who he used to be but he’s kind of like this innocent human. In Season 4, I think he's really reckoning with the aftermath and repercussions of everything he's done. Not just literal families that he's hurt and individuals who he's killed, but also the ripple effect of it and how it's spawning new serial killers and inspiring people to do bad things, so now he's hurting people that he even has no connection to.”
Despite being imprisoned for his crimes, Voit still knows he’s the smartest person in any room, so when James Crowley (Justin Kirk) aka The Fan, who was inspired by Voit, threatens his family, Voit figures out a way to escape prison wearing a guard’s uniform and tracks down Crowley, who has kidnapped Voit’s daughter Holly (Alison Nordah).

Voit, who was brain-damaged in Season 2 and allegedly lost his serial killer tendencies, knows he has to kill once again, as Crowley is a more threatening enemy than the BAU ever was because of the stakes involved.
“Voit's definitely a bit of a control freak and feels like he's always a step ahead of everyone,” Gilford continues. “I think this is one thing that always was in the back of his mind: Wanting to make sure his family's safe, but now literally he knows they're not and he needs to figure out what he can possibly do, how he can manipulate the situation to protect his family because he doesn't trust the BAU to do so. All this trust or the lack of it for a better word, he's built with the BAU over the last couple of years and trying to rehabilitate himself and his reputation, now he has to throw all that away because there's nothing he won't do to protect his family.”
It may not have been Crowley’s original plan to kill Voit’s family, but when Holly accidentally meets him at the college she’s attending where he’s lecturing on serial killers, he realizes who she is when she asks him if becoming a serial killer is genetics, and she’s not alone in her fear.
“As levelheaded and science-based as Voit is, I think as a father, it's always in the back of his head,” Gilford says. “You're always terrified you're going to pass your worst traits on to your children. I think it's one of those things that even he can't rationalize and be like, ‘That's not a thing. Serial killer is not DNA,’ because he also knows he was in their life, and as much as he wore this mask of a good family man and a father, he was around them, and maybe his nurture actually pushed them into that direction. Even though he didn't lock them in a closet with a dead cat like his uncle did to him, I think he's always terrified that he somehow passed this on to his kids.”
The fear is compounded when Holly actually does have to stab Crowley to save her father’s life, and in so doing, she gets this weird look in her eyes. But Voit didn’t break out of prison to put Holly in jeopardy, so he jumps on top of Crowley’s body just as the BAU breaks into the basement where Crowley, Holly and he had their confrontation, so he could take the rap.
“My interpretation of it is it was more like, ‘Look at what I've done to my daughter.’ Even though it's self-defense, I don't think she's l some murderous villain, but I've put her in a situation where she has to kill someone and now she has to carry that with her for the rest of her life. I think it's more that kind of guilt than the fear of I've created a killer because I think he's smart enough to be able to know the situation and know she had to do it. I don't think she enjoyed it. They want to mess with you a little bit, but I think for him it's just like, ‘Wow! Look at what I've done to my daughter. I've made her kill another human.’"
The result of Voit’s breaking out of prison and allegedly killing Crowley is being committed to a supermax prison, where the BAU won’t have access to him, so for now, Gilford says it is definitely the end of Voit’s story.
“They're shooting Season 20 now, and I'm not involved in it,” he says. “They didn't kill me, so you never know, but as of now, we haven't talked about me coming back. But the show’s gone 20 years, maybe it goes with 20 more, and I'll show up in Season 26 or something.”

Country Legend Behind Ultimate Women's Anthem Heading to NYC for Rare Appearance
Country and pop superstar Shania Twain is landing in Midtown Manhattan on July 24, for a single-afternoon retail pop-up to launch her seventh studio album, Little Miss Twain.
According to reps, the five-time Grammy winner will arrive at UMusic Shop NY in 2 Penn Plaza for a two-and-a-half-hour window starting at 2:30 p.m. ET. Fans hoping to gain entry must purchase a physical copy of Little Miss Twain at the store counter upon arrival. Every album transaction doubles as a ticket inside, granting buyers a brief photo opportunity alongside Twain.
Onsite organizers confirmed that Twain is there to meet fans and will not take part in panel discussions or interviews. Space inside the venue and access to the photo line remain strictly first-come, first-served while physical stock holds out. Once the inventory of physical records sells through, the doors will close.
The venue is stacking its display tables with exclusive merchandise for the New York appearance. Headline items include a custom Little Miss Twain metal license plate and a newly minted graphic t-shirt. Despite zero official announcements or release dates from the network, off-screen updates have already confirmed that cameras rolled and production has officially wrapped. But with Kody Brown's ex-wives living completely separate lives across state lines, fans are left asking the ultimate question: what does a show called Sister Wives look like when the family structure is completely gone?
This is the question Reddit users responded to in a post titled, "What's Season 21 going to be about?" And while official details from TLC remain under wraps, fans flooded the thread with their own theories, predictions, and off-screen clues.
One user theorized, "Meri Brown will giggle with Jen and claim she is going to tell her story and then share nothing. Christine and David Woolley will talk about how badly polygamous women are treated. Janelle Brown will act like everything is fine and remain emotionally detached from how Kody treats her kids. He and Robyn Brown will talk about how hard it's been to be in monogamy, and Robyn will try to stress Aurora Brown out about getting married."

In the thread, another user claimed they were friends with a member of the Sister Wives production team. They wrote, "I am friends with a key member of the production team. In past years, they have filmed about a week a month throughout the year. They haven't filmed since the beginning of March."
In an interview with The Sarah Fraser Show, Mykelti Brown Padron, Christine and Kody's daughter, revealed further details about Season 21 of the TLC series.
Padron confirmed that Sister Wives was renewed for Season 21. Additionally, she revealed that it the series is scheduled to premiere in Fall 2026.
Padron also appeared on the Growing Up in Polygamy podcast where she revealed, "There will be guaranteed one more season for sure. Beyond more than one, I have no idea."
“I will say that none of the parents have the same filming schedule that they used to have,” Padron explained. “For the last 15-16 years, it’s been two weeks of filming, two weeks off,” she added. “But this last six months or so, the filming has been very, very minuscule. It’s sporadic. So, the filming has been less.”
“I don’t think any of [the rumors about spin-offs] will actually happen,” she continued. “I think a lot of that is because the primary story of Sister Wives is obviously the polygamy. But a lot of the aspects you get from the polygamy are how these women function together and then how they function as parents to the kids and how the kids function together."
“And the majority of the children [from our family] don’t want anything to do with the show," the Sister Wives star concluded. “They don’t want to film. “They don’t want to make cameo appearances. They’re done. So it comes down to, without all of the stuff that made people fall in love with us, what is there? All that’s left is the little bits and pieces of drama.”
Sister Wives airs on TLC. The series is currently on hiatus.

1992 Rock Classic Reimagined 34 Years Later
King Ultramega, the supergroup collective, delivered a fresh spin on Soundgarden’s deep cut as a tribute to the iconic band’s late frontman Chris Cornell.
Honoring what would have been the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee’s 62nd birthday, the all-star tribute project released a reimagined version of the 1992 track "Birth Ritual."
With the tribute project’s rotating lineup, the underrated grunge gem featured Soundgarden’s own Matt Cameron, who also co-wrote and performed the original recording alongside the late musician.
Joining him were Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger on vocals and guitar, along with Mark Menghi of Metal Allegiance on bass to complete the powerhouse lineup.

“The overall intensity of the song still hits home for me. It’s a nice modern update, but still sounds true to the original. The chorus on the tribute version sounds amazing; Lzzy crushed the vocals and the guitars and bass are perfect. It’s nice when Kim’s solo kicks in too,” Cameron said, referring to Kim Thayil’s guitar solo, which he described as one of the track’s highlights.

Harrison Ford Shares Rare Tribute to Michael J. Fox and His Parkinson's Fight
Two Hollywood icons shared a meaningful moment as Harrison Ford honored his longtime friend Michael J. Fox, praising the actor's resilience, optimism and decades-long fight to find a cure for Parkinson's disease.
While presenting the Philanthropic Organization of the Year award to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Ford, 84, reflected on the moment that changed 65-year-old Fox's life forever and the remarkable way he responded after receiving his diagnosis.
"Thirty-five years ago, Michael J. Fox got some very bad news," Ford told the audience.
"Most people going through something like that endure it; Michael went right to work."
Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1991 at age 29, though he kept the diagnosis private for several years before publicly announcing it in 1998. Since then, he has dedicated much of his life to raising awareness and funding research through The Michael J. Fox Foundation, which he launched in 2000.
Ford praised Fox for turning a difficult personal challenge into a global mission, highlighting the impact of the foundation's work in advancing Parkinson's research.
"Through him, I've seen what his foundation does: fill the gaps in the research, get the right people in the room, raise $3 billion," Ford said.
The Indiana Jones star also reflected on how his own acting career helped him better understand Parkinson's disease.
Ford played Paul Rhodes, a therapist living with Parkinson's, on the Apple TV+ seriesShrinking, a role he said gave him insight into the experience of those living with the condition.
"Playing Paul Rhodes on Shrinking gave me some understanding of what it means to live with Parkinson's," Ford said. "It also gave me Michael—as an actor, a friend, and the most stubborn optimist I know."
Ford went on to praise Fox and foundation co-founder Deborah W. Brooks for their commitment to finding a cure.
"From day one, they've been clear about the goal: find a cure, and then close the door for good," Ford said. "That's the promise he made to the millions living with this disease."
Although Ford and Fox have shared a friendship for years, the two actors rarely speak publicly about their relationship, making Ford's tribute especially meaningful for fans.
Fox's influence has long extended beyond his iconic roles in Back to the Future and Family Ties. Through his advocacy work, he has become one of the most recognizable voices in the fight against Parkinson's disease.

Yet the drink keeps popping up in my feeds, earning rave reviews from coffee lovers who insist that it’s a refreshing way to get a caffeine fix on a hot day. The dramatic layer of dark espresso floating over pale lemonade certainly makes the iced beverage camera-ready, but the enthusiastic reactions made me wonder if there was more to it than a pretty presentation.

I brewed some espresso in my old-school Moka pot (feel free to use a fancy espresso machine—or even an espresso pod in your Keurig) and measured out 1.5 ounces (a standard shot).

Then I slowly poured the espresso over the top. It created a beautiful dark layer before I stirred everything together. That’s it.

If you want to experiment, there are plenty of variations. A splash of club soda adds fizz, while fresh mint makes the drink even more refreshing.
And if you’re making it for happy hour, it adapts nicely into a cocktail: A shot of vodka keeps the flavors crisp and lets the coffee and citrus shine; bourbon lends caramel and vanilla notes that pair beautifully with the espresso.

The lemonade doesn’t completely mask espresso’s bitterness, nor does the coffee overwhelm the citrus. Instead, the lemon brightens the espresso in much the same way that a twist of citrus can elevate a cocktail. The drink is balanced, refreshing, pleasantly tart and not overly sweet. Rather than tasting like someone accidentally combined two beverages, the flavors seem intentionally paired.
That said, the quality of your ingredients matters. Fresh espresso and good lemonade make all the difference. Bottled lemonade that’s overly sweet or espresso that’s been sitting too long can quickly throw off the balance.

Sure—but probably not every day. It’s not replacing my morning iced latte, nor is it something I’d crave in the winter. But on a sweltering afternoon when I want both caffeine and something refreshing, Espresso Lemonade is a good option.
The funniest part? After trying it, I realized the combination didn’t feel nearly as revolutionary as TikTok made it seem.
Growing up in an Italian American family, there was a small ritual I never thought much about. Before serving espresso, my relatives would sometimes rub a strip of fresh lemon peel around the rim of the tiny porcelain cup. The citrus oils perfumed each sip, softening the coffee’s bitterness and adding subtle brightness without changing the espresso itself.
Obviously, Espresso Lemonade is much bolder, but the idea is the same: Coffee and citrus don’t compete; they complement each other.

Henry Winkler Says ‘There Was No Stardom’ on ‘Happy Days’ — Even When Fonzie Became a TV Icon
Henry Winkler was one of television’s most recognizable TV stars of the 1970s as Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli on Happy Days. Known for his perfect hair and catchphrases such as “Aaaay” and “Sit on it,” the actor became a pop culture icon on the long-running ABCsitcom.
But despite Fonzie’s enormous popularity, Winkler recently revealed that behind the scenes, there were no egos on set—and no true "star” of the show.
In July 2026, the beloved actor appeared alongside fellow Happy Days stars Anson Williams (Potsie Webber) and Don Most (Ralph Malph) at Fanboy Expo, where they looked back on their days on the hit ‘70s sitcom.
When Williams was asked if he was ever jealous of Winkler’s fame, he replied that he embraced the popularity of the Fonz.
“Oh, no, no, no, no,” Williams said. “You understand? They said, ‘Are you jealous of Henry?’ Are you kidding? He's buying me a house. Keep going!”
Winkler explained that everyone was an equal behind the scenes.
“The truth of the matter is, really on our set there was no stardom,” he said. “We were an ensemble. We worked hard at making it funny every week. There was one guy who came on as a guest star, and then he was brought back a few times, and he would mention his fan mail. And I said, ‘You don't want to talk to me about fan mail.’ I got 50,000 letters a week. And I said, ‘We don't talk about that on the set. We are all here as one.’”
Williams also noted that show creator and producer Garry Marshall encouraged an ensemble mentality in all areas of production.
“Garry Marshall, everybody, you know, our all our showrunners allowed us to partake, give ideas, and it just became a wonderful ensemble of creation,” Williams shared.

Happy Days originally followed Richie Cunningham (Ron Howard) and his family and group of friends in 1950s Milwaukee.
As the show grew, writers penned episodes around side characters such as Potsie and Ralph. But it was Winkler’s Fonzie character who became a focal character during the show’s third season when it switched to a multi-camera setup in front of a live studio audience.
Fonzie became so popular that at one point early on, producers considered changing the show’s title to Fonzie’s Happy Days.
Howard wasn’t having it.
In a 2025 interview with Vulture, the actor turned film director admitted that he would have walked if producers had gone through with the title change.
“I never, ever challenged what they were doing creatively. It made perfect sense that you’d build this Fonzie character and maximize that,” Howard admitted. “But the optics of now being in a show called Fonzie’s Happy Days, my ego wouldn’t allow for that. I wasn’t bluffing. I would’ve left. … But thank God for great bosses. Garry Marshall said, ‘If you’re not cool with it …'”
“I later found out Henry himself thought it was a terrible idea,” Howard continued. “Years later, Henry said they were ready to do a spinoff and other things for Fonzie, and he just said, ‘Why fix it if it’s not broken? My success depends on the ensemble I’m in.'”
While Howard left the show after seven seasons to focus on movie directing, Winkler and Williams stayed on for all 11 seasons of Happy Days.
Decades later, Happy Days remains one of the most beloved classic sitcoms of all time, with a lasting success coming from the cast's strong bond.
