Dua Lipa and Callum Turner's Three-Day Italian Wedding Sparks Backlash From Local Residents
While fans are eager to get any glimpse ofDua Lipaand Callum Turner's three-day nuptial celebrations in Sicily, Italy, not everyone is excited. Multiple reports claim that residents have expressed anger towards the two celebrities for closing down the city.
The "Training Season" singer recently wed the Masters of the Air actor in an intimate court ceremony during the week before jetting off to Italy. Details of their wedding have been kept under wraps, with paparazzi photos confirming they are in Sicily leading up to saying "I Do."
Recent photos show Lipa and Turner arriving at their welcome dinner in the city, in what appears to be a closed-off square or outside dining experience. According to The Daily Mail, a heavy police presence was seen around Palermo, with a ring of steel going around a Sicilian square where the two celebrities will hold their wedding celebrations. The closed-off areas appear to be around the multiple town squares, like the Piazza Sant’Anna and Piazza Croce dei Vespri.
With local areas closed off for three days, residents have shown signs of protest. Posters in both Italian and English have been posted, reading, " Palermo is not for rent. Public spaces belong to everyone," "We reclaim the right to live them (sic), free from private profit," and "Our square is not your living room," "Palermo is not for the rich."
Other reports state that the wedding organizers removed the posters before the protesting residents wrote the same phrases on the walls in graffiti. Due to the star-studded wedding event, it's said that locals have even been asked to sign non-disclosure agreements.

It's also been reported that some businesses have been rented out and black screens leading to the Piazza Croce dei Vesperi have been put up to block off the area. Local business owners are also angered over having to close their shops early, with the weekend being one of their busiest and most profitable times of the week.
One business owner even commented to The Guardian that, "For example, for three days we’ve been forced to park miles away and walk to work. It’s not right to block the city – I could understand if it was for the pope, but not for a singer.”
Lipa and Turner began dating in 2024 after being spotted together on multiple occasions, and by 2025, rumors circulated of the two being engaged. The singer was spotted with an engagement ring, with her revealing the two connected over reading the same book.

There are three things guaranteed in the world today: Death, taxes, and Jeopardy! being on. Believe it or not, the iconic game show has been on the air for over 60 years (though the modern incarnation we know and love technically debuted in 1984). Under the watchful eye of Ken Jennings (who himself was a record-breaking champion), Jeopardy! puts three people's trivia skills and reflexes to the ultimate test. And so many of the greats to grace those podiums started by simply watching the show as it aired on weekdays, as millions have done for over half a century.

McFerrin entered with a pre-FJ score of $23,000, and his smart wager of $3,799 meant that even if he got it wrong, he’d still finish above the max possible score for second place, which was held by Gonclaves, with $9.600.
After a wrong response (“War of 1812”), he dropped down to $19,201, while Goncalves won the internet with a refreshingly honest response of “Literally, idk Ken,” wagering $600 and getting a final score of $9,000. McElroy wagered $47 an dropped to $4,353, without responding.
Despite missing FJ, McFerrin ended the week with his fifth consecutive win
McFerrin will be back on Monday for his sixth attempt.

Jessie James Decker Reveals the One Strict Condition Under Which She Would Return to Reality Television
Jessie James Decker is not completely ruling out another reality show, but she has a very clear boundary.
The singer, entrepreneur, and former reality star said in a new interview with Page Six that she would be open to returning to television, but not in the same way she did with Eric & Jessie: Game On, the E! series she starred in with her husband, Eric Decker, from 2013 to 2017.
This time, Decker said she would want to protect what happens inside her home, especially now that her children are older.
"What I'm so proud of for our family is how we keep things so normal and safe for our kids," Decker told the outlet.
Decker and her husband share four children: daughter Vivianne, 12, and sons Eric Jr., also known as "Bubby," 10, Forrest, 8, and Denver, 2.

Decker said she enjoys sharing parts of her life online, including funny videos and social media moments with her husband, but she wants to remain in control of what the public sees.
"I give what I want to give on social [media]," she said. "I love being able to give little bits here and there of fun stuff that we're in charge of and in control of."
A full reality show about her home life would be different.
"My family's just too precious for me to open that up to that whole world again," Decker said. "And we did that before we really had our kids at this age and point in time."
She also said she wants her children to feel normal, adding that having cameras around them constantly could "throw them off."
It's worth noting this isn't the first time the Deckers have been in front of cameras together in recent memory. Both Jessie and Eric competed on Season 4 of Fox's Special Forces: World's Toughest Test last fall.
However, Eric was medically withdrawn after injuring his back on day six, and Jessie chose to withdraw alongside him. That kind of appearance, a competition show they opted into on their own terms, seems to be exactly the type of TV project she's open to.

The Kind of Show Jessie James Decker Would DoWhile Decker may not want another show centered entirely on her marriage and kids, she is interested in a different kind of TV project.
The cookbook author said she would be open to filming a cooking, lifestyle or travel series with her sister, Sydney Rae Bass, and their mother, Karen Parker.
The three are collaborating on the upcoming cookbook Secret Sauce: A Family Cookbook Seasoned with Love. The book draws on their family's Sicilian and Cajun roots, with recipes passed down through generations alongside beauty and wellness tips.
"I would do a cooking show. I'd do a cooking/lifestyle show. I'd love to do something like that," Decker told Page Six.
She said the show could include small moments with her immediate family, such as dinner scenes, but the focus would be on food, travel, and her dynamic with her mom and sister.
Decker even described a possible version of the show as the three women traveling through Europe together, doing food and wine tastings and learning new things along the way.
"It's just silly and unhinged and crazy, and I just think we would have so much fun," she said.
Jessie James Decker Has Plenty Going On Off CameraDecker is not exactly waiting around for a TV offer.
She recently launched her Just Feed Me cookware line at Walmart, continues to run her Kittenish clothing company and has a Casa del Sol capsule collection with Cupshe. Secret Sauce marks her third cookbook and her first co-written with family members.

"I've always worked out, but I'm definitely on a super intense kick right now where I'm getting obsessed with it, and I'm just feeling really good. I'm feeling really strong. I can feel my energy getting better."
Decker also spoke about beauty and health in the interview, including her interest in downsizing her breast implants and her experience dealing with migraines.
She recently partnered with AbbVie on the company's Love in Mind initiative, which focuses on the emotional impact migraines can have on romantic relationships. Decker said she used to feel like she had to push through migraines, but now she advocates for herself.
Eric, with whom she will celebrate her 13th wedding anniversary later this month, has also played a major role in helping her navigate her health.
"Thank God for my husband," Decker said. "He has been such a help and such an encourager."
For now, Decker seems open to TV again, but only if it fits the life she has built now. A family-centered reality show may be off the table, but a cooking, lifestyle and travel series, especially one tied to an upcoming cookbook, could be a very different story.
Remembering Anthony Head’s Underrated 2008 Rock Opera
While the late Anthony Head is best known for his roles in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Merlin and Ted Lasso, he was also a musical theatre star. In 2008, he appeared in a rock opera called Repo! The Genetic Opera as a repo man of human organs.
While the film never became mainstream, it's a cult classic still beloved by fans of gothic musical movies. As we remember the much-loved actor after his passing, we think back on this hidden gem.
In the film, Anthony plays Nathan Wallace, a deadly organ repossession for a dystopian medical company. But, he leads a double life, as he is also a fiercely protective father for a sheltered daughter. The film co-stars Paris Hilton, Paul Sorvino, and Alexa PenVega.
Why the film didn't set the box office alight, nor did it earn critical acclaim, it did become a cult classic. Fans loved the gothic aesthetic, campy shock value and anticapitalist sensibilities.
In an Instagram post from 2022, the director wrote how he always wanted Head to play the Repo Man, but the studio wanted someone more famous. A little-known fact is that Patrick Swayze was originally cast as Nathan before pulling out due to health concerns.
"I went online and bought a dozen DVD’s of Buffy The Vampire’s musical ONCE MORE WITH FEELING. I hand delivered all the DVD’s. A few hours later I got a call from our producer’s, everyone agreed!!!! ASH was our man!" he excited wrote, in a post honouring this musical," director Darren Bousman wrote on social media.
"We flew him in town and quickly got him into the studio… It was fucking magical. It was like hearing a rock ‘n’ roll angel sing!!! He made me weak in my knees. And with that - The final actor was placed. In the end, I was able to cast 100% of my number 1 choices in the film." he added in the post.
Today, Bousman paid tribute to the late actor, who passed away from pneumonia at 72. "I’ve been staring at this man’s face for the last few months as we celebrate the rerelease of Repo," he wrote on Instagram.
"It was an honor to witness his craft on the big screen last weekend. Watching how he was able to command the screen with such humor, horror and humanity as Nathan Wallace is a master class in acting."
"…but my favorite memories of working with Tony was not the acting or the singing, it was the infectious love he had for his family and his two daughters. He would sit behind video village and regale us with proud father moments non stop," he added.
If you've never seen Repo! The Genetic Opera, the soundtrack has recently been added to Spotify and the film is currently showing in select theatres after a 4K remastering.

A Former 'Summer House' Star Who Left Reality Television Behind Has Officially Reached a Massive New Career Milestone
Hannah Berner is having another big post-Bravo moment.
The former Summer Housestar's new comedy special, Hannah Berner: None of My Business, premieres today, June 5, on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
The special is Berner's second stand-up special and her first for Hulu. It was filmed at the Bluma Appel Theatre in Toronto and is part of Hulu's Hularious stand-up comedy lineup. The title comes from her live touring show, where she first developed and honed the material before taping the special. She wrapped a 70-show stand-up run in April before filming.
Hulu describes the special as Berner's "most vulnerable material yet," in which the comedian questions her future, discusses her unconventional career path, shares dating stories, and jokes that she is "part-time hot."
Hannah Berner's Post-'Summer House' Career Keeps Growing View this post on InstagramBerner first became known to Bravo viewers as a cast member of Summer House, but her career has since shifted heavily toward comedy since she left the show in 2021. In a recent interview with Variety, she described stand-up as a healing process after reality TV, saying she felt her voice was "shrunk" during her time on the show.
She shared with the outlet, "I'm so proud of the special — I can't wait for people to see it. It feels like you’ve been painting something for a long time — I don't know why I’m using paint as an example, but the masterpiece is finally dotted, and I'm ready to show it to the world."
Her first comedy special, Hannah Berner: We Ride at Dawn, premiered on Netflix in 2024. Now, None of My Business gives Berner another major streaming platform and places her inside Hulu's growing slate of stand-up specials.
The move also comes as Berner remains closely tied to the Bravo world through her friendship and creative partnership with Paige DeSorbo. The two co-host the Giggly Squad podcast, which has become one of the most recognizable parts of both women's careers outside of Summer House.
The podcast was named podcast of the year at the iHeartRadio Awards and has surpassed 130 million downloads, a milestone that also landed Berner and DeSorbo on The Hollywood Reporter's list of the most powerful people in New York media.
Berner also co-hosts a second podcast, Berner Phone, alongside her husband, comedian Des Bishop.

A Bigger Picture: Netflix, Amy Poehler, and The Devil Wears Prada 2The Hulu special is far from the only major project in Berner's pipeline. Amy Poehler has signed on to produce a scripted Netflix comedy co-written by and starring both Berner and DeSorbo — a significant development that signals the pair's growing influence well beyond the podcast world. The two also recently made cameos in The Devil Wears Prada 2.

Who is Colin Firth's Ex-Wife, Livia Giuggioli?While Firth has found love with Perbola, he's on great terms with his former wife, Livia Giuggioli. The duo, who married in 1997, split in 2019 and have two sons, Luca and Mateo. In fact, Firth is even friends with Giuggioli's new partner, Scottish climate activist Callum Griev.

Earlier this year, researchers from Curtin University ruled out any glacial help in the transport, citing that humans were 100% responsible for the big move. But, after building on their previous studies, researchers now think that glaciers did play a role, along with human aid.
According to Dr. Anthony Clarke, one of the study’s co-authors, the modelling shows that glaciers may have brought the rocks part of the way during the last Ice Age. But they believe the glaciers may have brought it only as far as Doggerland, not all the way into southern England. This means that humans would have still needed to play a role.
Researchers say these latest findings show that Stonehenge must have meant a lot to people if they were willing to first save it from being submerged by rising sea levels and then to its final resting place. It also reveals a high level of organisation among Neolithic communities that many may never have realised.
What’s Next?It’s not case closed on the Stonehenge mystery just yet. Future research will look into possible transport routes prehistoric communities may have used to move the stone. So, stay tuned!

The memoir will be available in hardcover, e-book, and audio formats.
In other exciting news, McBrain and his bandmates are going to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in November alongside fellow musicians Phil Collins, Sade, Billy Idol, Oasis, and Joy Division / New Order. According to Rolling Stone, the band is expected to miss the ceremony due to tour commitments in Australia.
Born in Hackney, London, McBrain joined Iron Maiden in 1982. He became a key part of the lineup that helped transform the group into a global metal institution. After suffering a stroke three years ago, he continued performing before ultimately announcing his retirement from touring following the band’s Future Past World Tour.
His final live performance with the band took place in late 2024 in Brazil, per Billboard. Still, he remains an active force with Iron Maiden, serving as their third-longest member, behind bassist Steve Harris and guitarist Dave Murray.
Meanwhile, Iron Maiden are preparing to launch the North American leg of their Run for Your Lives Tour later this summer. The trek celebrates the band’s first nine albums, spanning 1980 through 1992, and features support from fellow metal legends Megadeth and Anthrax. I’ve dealt with acne for years, but honestly, the breakouts themselves aren’t even the most annoying part anymore—it’s the redness they leave behind. Between post-acne irritation, lingering marks and the constant redness I get around my nose from sensitive skin, my complexion almost always looks uneven no matter how clear it actually is.
In the winter, I can usually hide behind heavier concealer and foundation, but once summer rolls around? Absolutely not. The second the weather gets hot and humid, the idea of layering on a full face of makeup starts feeling unbearable.
And the frustrating thing about facial redness is that it can come from so many different places. Acne inflammation, rosacea, damaged skin barriers, over-exfoliating, sun exposure, allergies, sensitivity—the list is endless.
Sometimes my skin gets red because I used too many active ingredients. Other times, I’ll wash my face and somehow emerge looking like I sprinted through a wind tunnel. It also doesn’t help that a lot of "redness relief" products either do absolutely nothing or leave behind that weird green-tinted cast that makes your skin look dull instead of calm.
So naturally, I spiraled and decided to test the internet’s most talked-about redness-relief products in search of something that actually worked. From viral creams and color-correcting serums to barrier-repair moisturizers and soothing sprays, I tried eight different formulas to see which ones genuinely reduced redness—and which ones were all hype. Read on for the products that actually made my skin look calmer, more even, and significantly less angry.

For the longest time, I assumed my facial redness was tied only to acne, but the more I paid attention to my skin, the more I realized it was way more complicated than that.
Some days, my skin would flare up after using too many exfoliating products, and other days, it would turn bright red after being outside in the heat for 10 minutes, and the area around my nose was almost constantly irritated no matter what I did.
According to Dr. Gun-Young Ahn, dermatologist and founder of Dr.G, facial redness is "most often caused not by a single factor, but by a combination" of issues, including "skin barrier damage, increased vascular reactivity," and external triggers like "UV exposure" and dryness, which honestly described my skin perfectly.
He explains that when the skin barrier becomes weakened from things like over-cleansing or harsh actives, the skin becomes far more reactive and prone to flushing, which definitely happened to me during my peak try-every-viral-skincare-ingredient-at-once era.
Add in summer heat, stress and sun exposure, and my skin basically stayed in a constant state of irritation. The biggest shift came once I stopped trying to aggressively "treat" the redness and started focusing more on calming and supporting my skin barrier instead.

What Skincare Soothes Redness?When I started researching redness-relief products, I quickly realized the best formulas all seemed to focus on the same thing: calming inflammation and repairing the skin barrier instead of aggressively "treating" the redness away.
According to MD-board certified dermatologist, Dr. Faranak Kamangar, ingredients with the strongest clinical backing include niacinamide, which is "anti-inflammatory and helps improve barrier function," along with azelaic acid, especially for "rosacea-related redness."
Dermatologist at Modern Dermatology,Dr. Maya Thosani, agrees, noting that azelaic acid works by "reducing inflammatory mediators" and is generally "well tolerated," particularly for acne- and rosacea-induced redness.
She also points to ingredients like hyaluronic acid and ceramides for "their ability to hydrate and support barrier repair," while colloidal oatmeal has "solid evidence" for calming inflamed skin and tends to be especially gentle even on highly reactive complexions.
The bigger surprise, honestly, was learning how many supposedly "soothing" ingredients can actually make redness worse. Dr. Kamangar says overly hyped "natural" ingredients without proper standardization often don’t do much at all, while ingredients like menthol or eucalyptus may feel cooling at first but can actually increase redness by triggering vasodilation, or the widening of blood vessels.
Dr. Thosani also warns that certain trendy ingredients—including essential oils, turmeric, rose water and even raw aloe vera straight from the plant—can sometimes trigger irritation or allergic reactions in sensitive skin.
In other words, just because something sounds promising on TikTok doesn’t mean your skin will agree. Both experts emphasize that the most effective redness-relief routines usually rely on gentle, barrier-supportive ingredients consistently over time rather than harsh quick fixes that leave skin even more reactive later.

While the 10% vitamin C formula definitely gave my skin a brighter look over time, it didn’t do much to calm active redness, especially around my nose and cheeks where my skin is the most reactive.
In fact, on days when my barrier already felt irritated, this sometimes made my skin feel a little warmer and more sensitized. I think this works better as a post-acne dark spot serum than a true redness-relief product. If your main issue is lingering hyperpigmentation, it could absolutely work for you—but for immediate redness reduction? Not quite enough.

That said, it ranked lower simply because I didn’t notice dramatic redness reduction over a couple of weeks. My skin definitely felt softer and less irritated while wearing it, but it worked more as a gentle maintenance moisturizer than a transformative redness product. Still, for sensitive skin types who hate heavily fragranced skincare, this one feels incredibly calming and elegant.

'90s Indie Rock Band Releases New Album for the First Time in Five Years
Modest Mouse has finally put out new music for the first time in five years.
The indie rock band released their eighth studio album, An Eraser And A Maze, on Friday, with 15 new tracks. The project was announced back in April, and this is their first LP release with new music since The Golden Casket in 2021. In addition, this is Modern Mouse's first independent release in over two decades, as well as their first album since the death of their founding drummer, Jeremiah Green, in 2022. New members Simon O'Connor, Damon Cox and Keith Karman are also making their debuts.

An Eraser And A Maze writing and recording sessions were a continuous process from their previous albums, frontman Isaac Brock told The Music on Thursday. Six of the songs from the new album were originally turned in to Epic Records, but they didn't really like them. After further discussion, Modern Mouse decided to part ways with their record label and go independent.
"In a very nice way, we talked to Epic, and were just like, 'You know, we've been on this label for 20-some years, maybe it's just time we parted ways,' and they were really cool about it, meaning not in a 'horror show, major label story' sort of way that you'd expect," Brock recalls. "It was nice. They were like, 'We want nothing but success for you, so if this isn't working, do what you do.' So then they were Modest Mouse songs again, and here we are."

"With [An Eraser And A Maze], we did a lot of classic playing together until something happened that made sense," Brock told Paste Magazine. He also told the publication that he and producers had to restrain themselves from adding extra instruments to a song. "I was doing my best to show a little restraint and be like, 'No, the song’s good without me [explicit] write a part. I’d just be writing a part to say I had one.' Instead, I acted like a [explicit] grown-up and was like, 'This is good without that.'"
The lead single for the record, "Look How Far...," was released in March 2026, then followed up by "Picking Dragons' Pockets" a month later, along with the album announcement. In support of the album, the band is currently on a North American tour and making festival appearances at Bonnaroo and Outside Lands this summer. Modern Mouse also teased a fall tour when they made the album announcement.

Brock has been the only consistent member of the band, following Judy's departure in 2012 and Green passing away in 2022. With An Eraser And A Maze, it gave Modern Mouse and their fans a chance to reflect on how the group's sound has evolved over the years. Though they have explored different genres and sounds over the past three decades, their mode of operating has always stayed the same.
"As I've gotten older and been in this longer, I don't necessarily have to think too hard about it anymore," Brock reflects at the end of his interview with The Music. "I just let it happen."

Women Experience Retirement Differently Than Men — Here's What Psychologists Want You to Know
Retirement can be an exciting time in your life. Not only is it typically the first time that you're free to pursue your own passions without having to worry about working around your 9-5, but some people also see it as a well-deserved reward that is meant to be celebrated after putting in decades of work to make it to this milestone moment.
However, experts say that after the celebration has ended and the novelty of retirement has worn off, it can affect women very differently than it affects men. And while a lot of this has to do with how the two view their relationship with their jobs and the people they work with, psychologists say that it's more than just the different ways men and women relate to their work.
Why Does Retirement Hit Women Differently Than MenRetirement can affect women in a variety of ways, according to Dr. Linda Dolin, Medical Director, The Sylvia Brafman Mental Health Center. "In many cases, retirement can empower women by giving them more time, reduced stress, and increased freedom to focus more on self-care," she says. "It’s often a time when they get to pursue new interests or explore prior interests that they had previously sidelined due to work and family-related responsibilities."
Dr. Stephanie Freitag, a Clinical Psychologist with New Gen Psychology, seconds the idea that family responsibilities can have a bigger impact on one group than the other, saying, "Men typically have less responsibility in the home, less social responsibility, and fewer supports, which may impact mental health."
Women generally have a longer lifespan than men, Dr. Dolin adds, so it is more common for them to spend more years living on their own. "This can come with significant emotional and financial stress, though it can also be a strong source of connection and sympathy with other women."
There's also a physical component to consider, according to Sara Sloan, a Marriage and Family Therapist at Austin Concierge Therapy, who says that the hormonal shifts that take place during menopause can also come into play. "Menopause causes a significant drop in both estrogen and progesterone," Sloan says, noting that during this same time, many men experience a drop in testosterone as well. These changes to mood regulation, energy, and sleep can all impact the two in different ways, especially when it comes to how they experience retirement together at home.
How Can Women Enjoy Retirement MoreWhile it seems like women typically fare well enough in retirement, Dr. Dolin says there are things women can do when their golden years feel a little lackluster.
"Finding community with other people can increase their overall enjoyment of life while also safeguarding their mental health," she says, noting that strong friendships provide an emotional outlet, while stimulating conversation helps safeguard the brain from cognitive decline.
Some of her other suggestions include:
- Pursuing activites
- Joining groups
- Volunteering
- Focusing on self-care
She says exercise, proper sleep, and nutritious food all help with improving overall mood and energy levels. "These practices also provide a sense of structure and routine that helps ease the adjustment from work to retirement."
If that's not working, Dr. Dolin says to try reframing the idea of retirement in your mind, thinking of it not as "the end of the road," but instead looking at it as the beginning of the next chapter.
"This perspective shift helps them think about how to build healthy routines for the future instead of feeling stuck in the past," she says.

'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' Cast Honors Anthony Head Following His Death at 72
Following news of Anthony Head's death at age 72 on Friday, June 5, many of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer cast paid tribute to the actor. In the hit show, Head portrayed Rupert Giles, who served as the primary mentor to Buffy.
James Marsters, who played Spike, shared a heartwarming note on Instagram along with a photo of himself and Giles from the show.
"There’s a hole in the World. Anthony Head has passed on from us. He was an unflaggingly kind and steady presence on the set of Buffy, and the best actor in the cast," Marsters wrote. "He was the best of us. I was lucky to have known, and learned from him. He left the world a better place for his presence. Thank you Tony for all you gave.
Clare Kramer, who played Glory, also took to Instagram.
"Rest in Peace, Anthony. To know you was a pleasure. To work with you an honor," she posted. "Through Giles, you gave us bravery without fearlessness, and compassion without weakness - an exemplary performance (and one of many). My condolences to your girls, family, and all who had the pleasure of loving you. Rest easy, Watcher. 📚"

“This was taken on the London Underground in 2011," she said. "I went to visit my friend Tony on the set of The Iron Lady. We had lunch, hit up a record store, had dinner and drinks and laughed until our sides hurt. It was a perfect day. There were many of these moments with this amazing human who I was lucky enough to call my friend for 27 years. He was kind and wise and a guide in troubled times. You were so loved.”
Along with his iconic role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Head also starred in the hit show Ted Lasso, where he played Rupert Mannion. Brett Goldstein, who played Roy Kent, was among the many who paid tribute.
“Anthony Head was a brilliant actor who played the worst person in the world, which was an incredible skill because he was the best person,” he said on his Instagram Story. “Infinitely charming and kind and fun and a joy. He will be sorely missed. Love to his family.”

In fact, Carnegie Mellon University found that 55% of respondents couldn’t let go of their tabs, with 30% admitting that they have a “tab hoarding” problem.
Although there are benefits to keeping tons of tabs open (we’ll get into that ahead), unfortunately, it can lead to crashing your browser and/or device, which means…you’ve lost all your tabs, and perhaps you’ve tabbed so many things that you can’t remember them all. One Nielsen study around Google Chrome found that the average user has 11.4 tabs open, but we’re sure many of you have a lot more tabs open than that at this very moment. And let's not even get into the number of windows that they're open on.
As it turns out, there are quite a few personality traits that are tied to this relatable habit, and a psychologist is here to weigh in on why we do it in the first place, pros and cons of doing it, and characteristics linked to this common behavior.

“There are a number of reasons why many people keep dozens of tabs open, and this may vary from person to person,” says Dr. Sarah Gray, a clinical psychologist at Integrative Psychology, PC.
She tells Parade, “Many people report a fear that they may lose important information, especially if they've spent a good deal of time exploring various links. Others use the tabs as a visual reminder system, and feel they need to see the tabs in order to follow through with certain topics or action points. For some, multiple tabs can provide intellectual stimulation and a rewarding sense of multitasking or creative promise.”
And although she says that there is not yet concrete research that definitively links numerous open tabs with certain mental health conditions, Dr. Gray says that people who have anxiety, OCD, ADHD or depression may have contributing factors that could make them more likely to keep tabs open.
Are There Benefits To Keeping So Many Tabs Open?While crashing your system isn’t exactly ideal, Dr. Gray does say there are some positives to keeping several tabs open.
“There may be some benefits to having access to multiple pieces of information in the short-term—for example if you are doing some quick research like planning a trip or learning more about a topic and can close out the tabs in a relatively short amount of time,” she says.
Also, if you benefit from visual cues, she says that keeping a small amount (say under 15) of tabs open to prompt you to follow up on some items can be useful in the short term.
“However, there can be a number of downsides, as the visual clutter of multiple tabs can become overwhelming and actually get in the way of focus and productivity,” she warns. “Over time, it can affect your mood as it can cause extra stress to have the tabs visually reminding you of the unfinished or unexplored tabs each time you open your device.”

7 Traits Linked To Keeping Dozens of Browser Tabs Open, According to a Psychologist1. Prone to anxietyDr. Gray says that people who are prone to anxiety or worry may fear that if they close the tabs, they won't be able to find the information again.
2. IntellectualAccording to Dr. Gray, if you love learning and crave information and knowledge, you may be more likely to keep tabs open for various topics that hold information on areas you are interested in learning more about.
3. Creative“People who are more creative are often comfortable having multiple projects going at once, and may use multiple tabs to remind them of various topics and tools that they are wanting to pursue or are curious about,” Dr. Gray says.
4. NeurodivergentAs mentioned previously, neurodivergent people tend to leave multiple tabs open.
“A neurodivergent brain may struggle with some executive functioning and may use the external visual cues of the browsers to help organize tasks or may enjoy the novelty-seeking rewards that multiple tabs and topics can provide,” Dr. Gray explains.
5. ForgetfulYou may simply have issues with your memory. Dr. Gray says that individuals who are forgetful may benefit from the visual reminders of topics or to-do's that tabs can provide, “or may fear that they won't be able to find the information again later.”

6. Prone to procrastinateDo you struggle with completing one task in a timely fashion? Then, as Dr. Gray says, you may be prone to holding onto tabs longer than needed or having a hard time committing to fully utilizing the info within a tab and then letting it go.
7. PerfectionisticDr. Gray says, “Perfectionists often feel they need to have all the information possible before they act, or may feel like they have more control or reassurance by accumulating more information via multiple tabs.”

'Grease' Star Reveals His Career-Making Role Almost Went to President Gerald Ford's Son
Nowadays, it's easy to associate any one of Grease's original cast members with their fictional counterparts.
Whether looking at John Travolta's dashing and suave Danny Zuko or Olivia Newton-John's soft-spoken Sandy Olsson, virtually every actor fit perfectly into their roles on the hit 1978 musical comedy.
In an alternative universe, however, original Grease cast member Lorenzo Lamas revealed that his role as the chisel-jawed jock Tom Chisum would have actually gone to the son of a U.S. president.
Speaking with Remind Magazine, Lamas revealed that his involvement in Grease initially stemmed from a chance encounter with his mother, the late actress Arlene Dahl, and some very influential folks in 1970s Hollywood following the Academy Awards.
"Everybody sits down at tables, and they serve a wonderful meal, and my mom and I were sitting kitty-corner to [producer] Allan Carr,” Lamas recalled. “Shirley Eder, a publicist at the time, was a friend of my mom's, and she came over to our table, and she said, ‘Arlene, you have to introduce Lorenzo to Allan Carr, he's producing the musical Grease for Paramount.' So, my mom and I get up and walk over to Allan Carr's table."
“It's the first time I'm meeting anybody in show business,” Lamas revealed. “I'm nine months out of military school, and Allan Carr says, ‘Oh, Ms. Dahl, you are absolutely gorgeous,' which she was. And he recognized her right away.”
Two months later, Lamas said Carr got in touch him with about portraying the character of Tom in the musical: a role originally meant for Gerald Ford's son, Steven, before the actor got cold feet due to a potent case of stage fright, according to a previous interview with Lamas.
“My career started from Grease," the actor said of his small but memorable role in the movie. “If it's on cable and I catch a bit, I sit down and watch the whole thing.”

James Handy, an actor who worked in numerous films and television shows across his career, died on Wednesday, June 3, after he was found unconscious in the front yard with a stab wound to the chest. He was transported to a nearby hospital and was later pronounced dead.
Following his death, police officers arrested 44-year-old Michael Gledhill, who flagged down authorities and said he was the one they were looking for. Gledhill lived at the home with his mother, Wendy, who was Handy's girlfriend, and now she has broken her silence, speaking with The California Post outside her home on Friday, June 5.
“I’m just trying to make it through one day at a time, a minute at a time,” she said. “I loved James and my son. I still can’t believe it….I can’t believe my son did it. I’m just trying to …,”
Wendy then spoke with TMZ, providing some insight into her son's mental health struggles. Specifically, she said that he had been diagnosed with schizophrenia in July 2025, but had stopped taking his medication roughly a week before Handy's murder. And while they "didn't always see eye to eye," Wendy described Handy and her son's relationship as "generally cordial."
"They know I loved him so much. I'm so sorry," she told the outlet. "I'm so sorry this happened. I'm still in shock. I still can't comprehend it."
Wendy was also asked by TMZ whether he son should spend the rest of his life in prison, and she responded by saying that he "should not be where he can hurt anyone else."
