While some readers want to escape into a peaceful world, others prefer their books to be more on the unsettling side. Colliderrecently spotlighted some of the most stressful and terrifying novels ever published with a ranking of "the 10 most intense books of all time." The list, published on July 21, included novels like Stephen King's 2011 book 11/22/63, And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, published in 1939, and Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian from 1985.

Collider put the 2000 horror novel The House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski at the ranking's top spot. The book, which is known for its unusual format, has a score of 4.09 out of 5 from 210,205 readers on Goodreads.

In a 2000 interview with Borders Vision, Danielewski shared the book's basic plot.

"The story is about a family that moves into a small house in Virginia where they discover that the inside is bigger than the outside by only a quarter of an inch. And yet, that discrepancy begins to threaten everything in their family, the relationship between the man and the woman, between the children, and between the children and the parents," said the author.

In addition, he said he was very purposeful with how he positioned words and sentences throughout the book's 709 pages.

"So in 15 minutes you can read 100 pages, and you'll feel it, you'll feel the density in it, of the book. It has a visceral effect on you," said Danielewski.

Danielewski also discussed the use of footnotes in The House of Leaves. He said that while some may feel somewhat intimidated by footnotes, which are often used in academic texts, he intended for those who picked up The House of Leaves to realize that they make the novel unique and more interesting.

"They suddenly realize, 'By God, wait a minute the book can be read in a different way. It can be read backwards, forwards, upside down.' It's a wonderful analog computer, if you will, and it has all sorts of possibilities," said Danielewski during the 2000 interview.

It's not very often that a contemporary musician manages to outsell the Beatles, but in a miraculous turn of events, Oasis has officially beaten out their musical idols on the U.K.'s list of the popular albums of all-time.

As per the outlet, Oasis has managed to outsell the Beatles with their second album, (What's The Story) Morning Glory?, edging out the Beatles' classic 1967 album, Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

The revised list specifically places Oasis' 1995 album on number three on the country's all-time best-sellers list, following Queen's 1981 Greatest Hits (number one) and 1992's Abba Gold (number two).

Meanwhile, Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band has dropped down to the number five spot, behind Adele's 2011 album, 21.

Released in 1995, (What's the Story) Morning Glory? received surprisingly mixed reviews from critics upon its initial debut, with many seeing the album as inferior to Oasis' first effort, 1994's Definitely Maybe.

"What's the Story [sounds] laboured and lazy. On this evidence, Oasis are a limited band ... they sound knackered," wrote Melody Maker.

Conversely, other critics felt the album a natural progression for the up and coming British band, with Rolling Stone sharing, "What's the Story is more than a natural progression, it's a bold leap forward that displays significant musical and personal growth."

Regardless, the album proved to be incredibly endearing among ordinary listeners, with the band's "Wonderwall" becoming one of the most iconic songs of the 1990s, as well as the band's most beloved song to this day.

On July 20, 2024, Angela Murray walked down the stairs into the kitchen of the Big Brother house. And straight into my reality TV obsessive heart.

To say the real estate agent has been one of the most polarizing houseguests in recent memory would be an understatement. After all, she established herself from the jump on Season 26 of the CBS summer series as an agent of chaos and conflict, someone not afraid to provide a cutting remark with the ferocity of slicing meat and cheese for a charcuterie board. And, only two years later, Big Brother fans find themselves living through deja vu, yet again watching Angela, despite her better judgment, kicking off another season with big moves and even bigger fights.

Given Angela's penchant for drama, she's earned a wide variety of reactions over the past two years. Some can't stand her, feeling she actively derails gameplay happening in the house and gets too personal with her digs. Others simply sit back and smile watching her shenanigans on the live feeds. I can say I proudly put myself in the latter, always eager to pull down the lap bar, throw my hands in the air, and get ready for the roller coaster.

Here are all the reasons why I love Angela Murray on Big Brother, and why you should, too!

Angela changed the game for older houseguests Angela showcased the power that older players can wild against their decades-younger competition

Big Brother prides itself on showcasing myriad personalities and backgrounds every summer. Admittedly, though, across 27 years and counting, there are some tropes that casting will fall into. We'll always get a handful of "bros," eager to treat the entire competition like one big at-home workout. On the opposite end of the high school spectrum, there's always a "quirky" guy or girl (or, if we get lucky, both) whose nerdom either endears them to the house or makes them an early pariah. And, for some reason, we always have to have an alumnus from Texas A&M involved.

But one of the biggest consistencies across casting are the "older" houseguests (that is to say, players in their late 40s and above). From a pure demographic perspective, Big Brother is, for all intents and purposes, a young man's game. Out of every year's cast, at least half of them are in their twenties. And the rest aren't that far out, usually topping out at around 35. The oldest houseguests in a Big Brother season typically max out in the 50s (including Angela herself). Suffice it to say, having the majority of your peers in the house be decades younger than you is not the most welcoming environment. Staggeringly, across 27 winners of Big Brother, a grand total of two were over the age of 30 at the time of their victory.

And so, we'll often see the older houseguests get largely disregarded in the competition. They don't have enough in common with their younger compatriots to be brought into the early alliances. They have difficulty keeping up physically, especially as competitions turn more intense towards the endgame. For the modern-day seasons in particular, we can look at people like Terrance Higgins, Cliffton "Will" Williams, and Kenney Kelley (the latter of whom actually played with Angela on Big Brother 26), who all did not wield much power during their time in the house. Even if we go old-school to some of the most iconic older houseguests in the show's history, Big Brother 10 standouts Jerry MacDonald and Renny Martyn are much more fondly remembered for their over-the-top character moments, rather than game-changing moves.

That is not the case with Angela. When she found herself at the top in the very first week of her Big Brother career, she took a massive shot, backdooring the biggest alpha male in the house. The vast majority of the time, the first HoH tends to go for an "easy" house target, in the hopes of establishing a majority alliance, then fading to the background to avoid getting thrown up on the block the next week. But Angela showcased from the jump that she was willing to play fearlessly, wielding a power in the very beginning that's usually quite unseen for houseguests in her age bracket. Angela is proof positive that age is just a number when it comes to being a mover and shaker in the Big Brother house.

Despite claiming she was a changed player, we're arguably getting an even bigger example of this in Big Brother 28. While she hasn't directly held power or even won a competition, Angela has consistently been pushing to go for the "big move." Most recently, she was able to successfully get Rick Devens to gun directly for Rome Seymour and his allies, fearing the influence the pickleball coach was amassing. And, true, Felicia Cannon and Cirie Fields showed in Season 25 that they were also able to be power players, birth date be damned. But Angela was able to showcase that while also bringing a penchant for drama. Which leads me to...

Angela reminds us why conflict is necessary in Big Brother Through her infamous "Crazy Eyes" rant against Matt Hardeman, Angela cemented herself as one of the most dramatic houseguests in 'Big Brother' history.

Now, just to clarify here, I don't necessarily mean all conflict is necessary for the show to succeed. After all, across 27 seasons, we have seen some truly abhorrent behavior, including racism, sexism, homophobia, inside the walls of the house. And, as much as the Big Brother community may look back on something like Season 19 with an "I can't believe that actually happened" lightness, that doesn't obfuscate the dread that exists watching an entire summer of unpleasant, ugly behavior.

But that's not to say that Big Brother should be a "kumbaya" type of show. First off, that's just antithetical to the concept of reality TV itself. Yes, on paper, the unscripted genre has existed for so long that there is nowadays more of an "it's just a game" attitude among contestants. But the entire conceit is that it's meant to be personal. These are games that require full immersion to succeed, giving your blood, sweat, and tears in an effort to make it one step further towards your goal. Especially in an environment like Big Brother, the game becomes your life, as there's the additional element of eating and sleeping alongside your competition, at least some of whom have been put on the show specifically to bristle with your personality.

In the first few days of Big Brother 26, true to her trope, Angela was regarded as the loving mother of the house. But that all changed the minute she quite literally woke up and chose violence. What followed is one of the most dramatic and instantly iconic moments in the show's history, as she chided people who had approached her for an alliance, decrying their performances to the quality of a low-budget movie. But the bluest part of her flame was reserved for Matt Hardeman, whom she went in on for allegedly having her name in his mouth. It was theatrical, scathing, and absolutely riveting, made even funnier by the fact that she continued to state throughout that she still wanted to have a great summer with the people she was calling out (only interrupting herself to throw a stray Matt's way, telling him, "Except you, don't talk to me").

But she wasn't done there! Perhaps riding the high of successfully getting "Crazy Eyes" out of the house, Angela was more than happy to lay her eyes on other people who irked her. Mere days later, she and Lisa Weintraub were getting into it, as she called the celebrity chef a "twit," and even mocked her walk. Yet again, while Angela came into her second season saying she was here to play a calmer game, in true time travel fashion, the past came back to haunt her. When she found out Jason De Puy had been fake crying to her and claiming she was his new mom in the house, she was ready to rain down fire and fury. And, at the end of this week's nomination ceremony, we are getting a proper poaching. Right now, we're eagerly counting down the hours until tonight's episode, where the cliffhanger of the fallout will resolve, and Angela will add yet another tally mark to the rivalries she's accrued across her Big Brother career.

It takes a rare houseguest to stand up and call somebody out when she doesn't like what they're doing or how they're playing. It takes a once-in-a-lifetime person to have the confidence to do it while dressed like a giant egg.

Angela created the blueprint for the "BB Block Buster" era Angela was the first-ever HoH to contend with the 'BB Block Buster' twist — and immediately showcased how it can be used to take out a big threat

Angela's first season happened to be the start of one of the biggest game changers in Big Brother history — and also one of its most celebrated. For the past three summers, the "BB Block Buster" (then known as the "AI Arena") permanently shook up the structure of the typical week. Rather than a traditional two nominees, the HoH puts three people up on the block, leaving them all vulnerable going into eviction night. Luckily, the trio has one last chance to compete for safety. Minutes before their fellow houseguests go to vote, they take part in another competition. The winner gets immediately removed from the block, with the two losers becoming the final nominees for the week.

I could pen an entire ode to how I think the Block Buster is one of the best twists in Big Brother history, second only to the Power of Veto. How it's brought necessary dramatics to arguably the most straightforward part of the week. How last-minute victories led to some of the most shocking blindsides in the show's history. Angela was the very first person to ever have to contend with the "Block Buster" as HoH. And she came out of the gate strong.

To put it bluntly, men like Matt Hardeman are typically positioned to do well in Big Brother. Between their early positioning, charisma, and competition prowess, they often evade being early targets. The previous summer, we had seen that happen to one of its biggest extremes, as Jag Bains and Matt Klotz ran the table in the latter half of Season 25, taking a grip of the game that they never relinquished until the Final 2 chairs.

Perhaps that's what Angela had in mind when she decided to both call out Matt publicly and follow it up with putting him on the block. And, with him now vulnerable for eviction, talks began to stir in the house about whether they want to give him the leverage to succeed in a way many like him have before. Even so, the talk was mere whispers. There was the fear of the unknown that was the eviction night competition, and whether it would be favored for Matt, by far the most athletic out of the three nominees.

Fortunately, the players and fans alike quickly realized that the Block Buster competitions are much more equitable than expected. They reward those with good observation, perfect touch, and puzzle skills, rather than simply the strongest and fastest. So, despite the expectations, Matt lost and remained on the block. And the majority of the house decided that moment was the time to strike.

While Big Brother 26 would provide much bigger power moves from the Block Buster results, it set an important precedent from the jump. The young, athletic types were no longer effectively immune for the early part of the game. In fact, if you were looking to take care of one before they became a threat, the first week may now be the best time to do it. I think it's no coincidence that the past two seasons have also seen the first HoH nominate a "bro" in Zae Fredrickson and Yash Patel. Angela was able to showcase how much power the HoH can hold in the Block Buster era, and how it can be used to create relatively unconventional early boots.

Angela Murray is "expect the unexpected" Whether starting a rivalry, turning on her allies, or chewing the scenery dressed as a giant egg, Angela knows how to constantly keep 'Big Brother' fans guessing

"You want good TV?" Big Brother Canada Season 2 contestant Sabrina Abbate asked rhetorically as part of a post-nominations meltdown. "Does everybody want good f—king TV?!"

And my answer is a resounding yes!

Of course, you may quibble with whether or not you like the shenanigans Angela has brought to our screens going on two seasons of Big Brother. But you cannot argue that she has given us plenty to talk about. Again, she is definitively one of the most-dsucssed houseguests of the modern era of the show, and may stack up there with some of the biggest personalities Big Brother has ever offered. Whether you go onto Twitter/X, Bluesky, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or just ask the biggest superfans in your inner circle, they are all going to have an opinion about Angela one way or the other.

And that's because she's been the source of some of the most unbelievable situations in the show's history. Either watching the episodes or the 24/7 live feeds, getting to see what Angela does sometimes is truly unbelievable. What do you mean she started the morning by dramatically slow-clapping, then launching into a tirade directed towards one person in the first week of the game? What do you mean she created a one-sided grudge against someone for eating her HoH food, grousing about her simultaneous anger and despair while lying on the floor of the Diary Room in a pose straight out of a Calvin Klein ad? What do you mean she decided to hijack a nominations ceremony and call an impromptu house meeting to air out her dirty laundry with a two-time RuPaul's Drag Race contestant, all while — I must repeat for emphasis — dressed as an egg detective?

Look, I don't ask much when it comes to my enjoyment of reality TV. Yes, it's always nice to see mind-bending, next-level gameplay. I love watching unconventional friendships develop, and for those to even occasionally turn romantic. But, at the end of the day, I'll get the most enjoyment out of someone if they are simultaneously showcasing their willingness to play, displaying their larger-than-life personality, and making some incredible TV moments. Luckily for me, I get all three, contained within a 52-year-old grandma from Utah. And hopefully I will continue to do so not only for the rest of this summer, but for many seasons — and shows — thereafter.

Joy Behar had a shocking moment on Wednesday's episode ofThe View when she pulled guest Anson Mount in for a long kiss.

Behar, 83, a longtime comedian and staple of the ABC chat show, surprised viewers when she pulled Mount, 53, who stars on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, in close and kissed him shortly after he took the stage during the live episode, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Mount walked onto the stage and greeted Behar's co-hosts, Whoopi Goldberg and Sara Haines, as the crowd cheered. But when he got to Behar, she embraced him and went in for a kiss on the cheek. She then puckered her lips, and when Mount leaned in, wrapped her arm around him and pulled him in for a lengthier kiss, EW continued. Mount was left with Behar's lipstick on his face.

 “I’m old, but I’m not dead,” Behar added.

Behar and Mount's Previous Encounters

After the kiss, Sunny Hostin said, “This year marks the... are you okay?” wondering if Behar needed to collect herself. Behar responded by saying, “I need a little bit of a touch-up. Last time he was here, he brought me flowers for my birthday, and it’s never been the same between us.”

Mount replied, “I got married, so...” which had Behar saying, “That’s what I mean!”

Mount married his longtime girlfriend, Darah Trang, in 2018.

Behar Has Navigated Health Problems

Earlier this month, Behar admitted on The View that she's been navigating health problems that include dizzy spells.

“I got acupuncture because I’m dizzy,” she shared, PEOPLE reported. “I walk, and I’m dizzy. Has anybody noticed that I walk like I’m drunk? I’m not drinking, I don’t drink.”

Behar joked that "Between the Botox, the Ozempic, and the acupuncture, I’m more full of needles than a drug addict.”

However, the star also made it clear that she needs to keep an eye on the behavior.

“Well, you know, I fall a lot. The main thing, just to talk seriously, when Bob Saget fell, he died. If you hit your head and you feel dizzy or you have blurred vision or you feel like you want to go to sleep, go to the doctor because that will kill you,” she said. “But I’ve fallen a lot. I fall all the time. I’m a klutz! But this chair, this chair was like the exorcist. It was spring!”

Cosmic Brownies always felt like a special kind of after-school treat. I remember opening the wrapper and seeing those colorful candy pieces on top, which somehow made them even more exciting to eat. They were rich, fudgy and just the right amount of sweet, especially after a long day at school. Sometimes I’d eat the candies first, other times I’d go straight for a big bite. Either way, they never lasted long.

Lindsay Clancy is a Massachusetts woman who is awaiting trial following the 2023 murders of her three children. She has been charged with three counts of first degree murder.

Her lawyer, Kevin Reddington, has stated that his client was suffering from depression and insomnia following the birth of her third child. It has also been reported that Lindsay had been prescribed a "dozen different psychiatric medications," according to Boston.com. The report also states that the Clancys filed a malpractice lawsuit against some of her doctors, claiming they failed to diagnose her with bipolar disorder.

Lindsay, 35, has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.

At the time of the murders, Clancy was married to her husband Patrick Clancy and the family lived in Duxbury.

As the jury selection in the Clancy case continues, there is ongoing curiosity about her husband, who has spoken out in her defense. Over the past three years, Patrick has started life anew. According to The New Yorker, he's living in Manhattan—and there are some unconfirmed reports that he has gotten remarried.

"Pat preferred not to comment on the status of his marriage, out of deference to Lindsay, but his mother told me, ‘He has to come to terms with the fact that she’s no longer part of anything. She’s gonna go her way, and he’s gonna go his,'" read an excerpt from the article.

"I wasn’t married to a monster—I was married to someone who got sick," Patrick told the outlet.

What Did Lindsay Clancy's Husband Say After His Kids Were Murdered?

Shortly after the unthinkable tragedy, a GoFundMe was created in an effort to support Patrick. In an update on January 28, 2023, Patrick thanked the public for their support and paid tribute to each one of his children.

He also shared a bit about his wife, and asked the public to "forgive" her.

"Our marriage was wonderful and diametrically grew stronger as her condition rapidly worsened. I took as much pride in being her husband as I did in being a father and felt persistently lucky to have her in my life," he wrote. "She loved being a nurse, but nothing matched her intense love for our kids and dedication to being a mother. It was all she ever wanted. Her passion taught me how to be a better father."

"I want to ask all of you that you find it deep within yourselves to forgive Lindsay, as I have. The real Lindsay was generously loving and caring towards everyone - me, our kids, family, friends, and her patients. The very fibers of her soul are loving. All I wish for her now is that she can somehow find peace," he added.

Lindsay, a former labor and delivery nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital, has reportedly told her lawyers that she did in fact kill Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months. Prosecutors say that Lindsay sent Patrick out to run some errands on Jan. 24, 2023, and strangled her children using exercise equipment while he was gone. She then attempted suicide, jumping out of a second story window of her home, which left her paralyzed from the waist down.

When Patrick returned home, he found his children and wife and quickly called 911. Per Boston.com, Patrick can be heard "screaming in agony and shock" on the phone with the emergency operator.

Cora and Dawson were pronounced dead that night, while Callan was transported to Boston Children's Hospital. He died three days later.

The Afghan Whigs are back with a brand-new song release, just a month before they drop their highly-anticipated new album. 

On July 22, the ‘90s soft rock band dropped their single, “My Lover," which follows previously released singles “Duvateen,” “House Of I” and “Jungle Roux.”

Per the press release shared with Parade, it “neatly distills the emotional ambivalence of a deceitful relationship sustained by lust but doomed to fail.”

The single is from their upcoming tenth album, Soft Control, which will be released on Aug. 21. The album is said to capture the band’s “unique ability to conflagrate stab-you-in-your-nose bone guitars and cubist refractions of soul and R&B.”

Recorded across Fireside Sound in Joshua Tree, Marigny Studios in New Orleans, Gold Diggers Sound in East Hollywood, and Sycamore in Cincinnati, it boasts 22 songs and includes cameos from former Afghan Whigs drummer Patrick Keeler, vocalist/violist Petra Haden, Bo Koster (My Morning Jacket), and many others.

Fans are able to pre-order and pre-save it now. For vinyl fans, it will also be available in the popular Pink Wave vinyl variation, while the tri-color vinyl remains sold out. 

The new single and album come ahead of the band’s major fall tour, which will take them to the UK and Europe in September and October, followed by dates in North America. The dates are an extension of their 40th anniversary celebration.

Previously reflecting on the milestone anniversary, the group's frontman and creative force, Greg Dulli, expressed gratitude for the band’s enduring career, noting that performing and creating music decades later still feels surreal.

He said, “40 years later, I still get to do the thing I love the most. Writing songs and performing them with my friends all over the world. I truly have to pinch myself.”

And the tour stops will include special guests, with two of Dulli’s favorite artists.  

Fans in North America will be treated to a performance from Night Moves, while the UK and EU fans will see Ed Harcourt, described as “one of Britain’s most cherished and inventive music creators.”

The Cincinnati-formed band rose to prominence in the early to mid 1990s with albums like their 1993’s Gentlemen. Considered the breakthrough album, it earned them critical acclaim and helped establish them as a cult favorite.

They never achieved commercial success or scored a No. 1 hit (there’s still time!), but they built a strong reputation for their moody and cinematic live performances, releasing music through the late ‘90s before disbanding in 2001 and reuniting in the 2010s for new albums and tours.

After 10 years of aggravating Ryan Gosling, the studio behind La La Land has officially altered the movie's poster to make up for the actor's biggest on-set mistake.

According to Variety, Lionsgate has just unveiled a new design for La La Land's 10th anniversary movie poster, featuring Gosling's hand curved upward as opposed to flattened out.

The change comes years after Gosling first mentioned how much the hand gesture on the poster bothered him, specifically mentioning that it "haunted" him to this day.

"We’re dancing, Emma and I, and I didn’t know this would become the poster for the movie," Gosling told The Wall Street Journal Magazine. "We were supposed to have our hands up, and I thought it would be cool to put my hand [more flat] even though everyone told me it wasn’t cool. I was sure it was cooler.”

“Now when I look at it, and I have to see it all the time, you know what would’ve been cooler… [the intended pose],” Gosling continued. “It just killed the energy that way. I call it La La Hand.”

To celebrate the film's 10th anniversary, La La Land will see a limited rerelease to theaters starting on Sunday, August 16, in Dolby Cinema at AMC Theatres.

A critically acclaimed musical comedy drama, the film follows Gosling's jazz pianist and Emma Stone's aspiring actress as they strike up a romance in Los Angeles, all the while pursuing their individual creative passions.

At the time of its release, La La Land won a total of six Oscars, including Best Director and Best Cinematography, and a record-breaking seven Golden Globes. More recently, a Broadway musical based on the film is currently in development, although a date for the show's debut in New York has yet to be announced.

Some Costco shoppers may be able to claim a cash payment as part of a new $14 million class action settlement.

The settlement resolves a lawsuit that alleged Costco sent promotional emails to Washington state consumers with false or misleading subject lines advertising limited-time sales. Costco has denied any wrongdoing but agreed to settle the case to avoid the cost and uncertainty of continued litigation.

The case centered on claims that certain promotional emails created a false sense of urgency by suggesting sales were about to end, even though the promotions were allegedly extended beyond the advertised deadlines.

The lawsuit argued that the emails violated Washington's Commercial Electronic Mail Act and Consumer Protection Act.

The proposed settlement received preliminary approval on July 2 and establishes a $14 million fund for eligible consumers. It applies to Washington residents who received qualifying Costco promotional emails between June 2, 2021, and July 7, 2026.

Unlike some class action settlements, eligible consumers do not need to provide proof of purchase. Those who qualify and submit a valid claim can receive a cash payment, although the exact amount will depend on how many claims are ultimately filed. Claim forms must be submitted by Aug. 24, 2026.

The settlement still requires final court approval, with a hearing currently scheduled for Oct. 2, 2026. If the agreement receives final approval and any appeals are resolved, payments will be distributed to approved claimants afterward.

For Costco members in Washington, the settlement could mean a chance to recover a share of the $14 million fund, provided they file a claim before the August deadline.

Eligible Washington residents can file a claim through the official Costco Email Settlement website. No proof of purchase is required, and claims must be submitted by Aug. 24, 2026. Individual payments will vary depending on how many valid claims are filed.

Gammacide, the beloved '80s metal band, has announced their first new album in 35 years. The exciting news was paired with a new music video for their lead single, giving longtime fans a taste of their new era.

The new album, titled Toxic Mercenaries, is slated for release on CD on September 11, 2026. The vinyl set will be available for purchase on October 30, 2026. The metal veterans will deliver fans with an intensely curated, long-awaited track list, consisting of eight brand-new songs.

Gammacide was formed in 1986 by guitarist Rick Perry and bassist Eric Roy. Soon after, drummer Jamey Milford and vocalist Varnam Ponville joined, completing their original lineup. In their early years, they developed a cult following, releasing their debut album Victims of Science in 1990. A few years later in 1992, the group disbanded, only briefly reuniting in 2005 to celebrate their 20th anniversary with the reissued CD of their debut album.

After a second long hiatus, the group reformed in 2025 to play a series of live shows with three original members and two additional newcomers. While playing a set at the Hell's Heroes festival in Houston, Texas, the new lineup was able to showcase their sound to new metal fans. The electrifying nature of the crowd inspired them so deeply that it prompted them to write and release new material.

The band's ferocious legacy among cult metal fans continues to persist, even after years of no music. Their new record promises to deliver an explosive chapter in thrash metal history.

While fans prepared themselves for Christopher Nolan's three-hour epic, The Odyssey, they never expected to get a jump scare with Jessica Chastain's upcoming horror, Other Mommy.

Whether it was strategic or not, the team behind Rob Savage's supernatural psychological horror knew how to get fans talking. Before the start of The Odyseey, the new trailer for Other Mommy played in theaters across the country.

Based on the 2024 novel Incidents Around the House by Josh Malerman, the trailer focuses on a mother coming home to her daughter. While everything appears normal, a sinister darkness takes over the mother. The trailer soon scares audiences with a quick shot of Chastain's distorted body under a table.

The trailer stunned audiences in theaters, with many having never expected a jump scare of that magnitude before the Matt Damon-led film.

“I was waiting for ‘The Odyssey’ to start and then Jessica Chastain’s head and contorted body popped out from under a table and I jump a foot in the air,” one X user wrote.

Another added, “The way people during my two screenings of ‘The Odyssey’ this weekend were screaming during this trailer for #OtherMommy….@blumhouse [is] gonna have a fun hit on their hands."

"What in the name of hell was that other mommy trailer right before the odyssey played. There’s literally no reason for us to be jumpscared jessica chastain at 10am, like half of my theater got spooked," said one fan.

"Thought process went “is this gonna be like that goodnight mommy mov- WHAT THE F*CK WAS THAT," commented a fan.

Other Mommy follows an 8-year-old named Bella who confronts a sinister monster from her closet she calls "Other Mommy." The spider-like creature soon takes on the exact likeness of her mother, Ursula (Chastain), and begins to terrorize the family. Can Bella differentiate the creature from her real mom?

Some fans can't help but see similarities in the storyline to the 2009 stop-motion fantasy horror filmCaroline. Based on a novella, the film follows a young girl who discovers an alternate universe where everyone she knows has a sinister and dangerous dark side.

The 2026 horror film also stars  Jay Duplass, Arabella Olivia Clark, Dichen Lachman, Arian Moayed, and Karen Allen, with a scheduled release date of Oct. 9.

At long last, the Tres Amigas reunite as Shannon Storms Beador meets up with Tamra Judge as Vicki Gunvalson mediates the drama this week on The Real Housewives of Orange County, and Parade has your exclusive first look.

In the clip, Gunvalson is mediating a meeting between Judge and Storms. "If Tamra doesn't stay calm and not use any bad words, [like calling Shanon] drunk, broke. This is going to be a code red. This could be table flipping. This is going to be plate launching. This is going to be everything we don't want it to be," she warns.

Judge is the first to arrive and explains her strategy going into the conversation to Gunvalson, sharing that she plans to tell Storms Beador, "Do you know what, Shannon? We've both done things to each other. I've been hurt. You've been hurt. Let's not hurt each other, and let's move forward."

Gunvalson adds that Judge needs to add an apology into the mix, to which she replies, "Oh, I'm not apologizing," adding that was all she did last year, and she isn't doing that again.

However, once Storms Beador shows up, and sits at the table, an awkward silence comes to pass. Will this be the reuniting of the beloved friendship? Or is it going to devolve into a nightmare blow up? Viewers will have to stay tuned to the episode to find out.

The Real Housewives of Orange County is celebrating its 20th anniversary with the return of the “O.G. of the O.C.” herself, Vicki Gunvalson. Gunvalson was a full-time cast member from Season 1 of The Real Housewives of Orange County until Season 13, which aired in 2018. She returned in a “friend of” capacity for Season 14 before exiting the series altogether. She would go on to make guest appearances in Season 17 and 18, but made her grand return as a full-time cast member with Season 20.

In addition to her main show, Gunvalson has also made appearances on The Real Housewives spin-off, Ultimate Girls Trip, and recently filmed the celebration The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th, which is set to debut later this year.

Alongside Gunvalson, Season 20 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, returning cast members include Tamra Judge, Heather Dubrow, Shannon Storms Beador, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson, Jennifer Pedranti, and the introduction of a brand new housewife, Carmella Garcia.

As audiences continue to flock to theaters to see the blockbuster film The Odyssey, Elon Musk is vowing to deliver his own more "historically accurate" version of the ancient epic using the artificial intelligence chatbot, Grok.

Taking to X, the SpaceX founder said that his planned version of The Odyssey will arrive before the end of the year, featuring an A.I.-generated cast that is more faithful to the original story.

“Before this year ends, Grok Imagine will make a full-length movie of The Odyssey that is historically accurate and true to the art of Homer,” Musk said.

In his post, he also linked to a three-minute clip of footage reportedly generated by Grok Imagine, specifically showing a scene featuring Odysseus and the nymph, Calypso.

Musk has remained an outspoken critic of The Odyssey since details around the film's casting were first made public. In particular, Musk and many conservative critics bashed the film for the diversity of its cast, taking aim at the inclusion of Black actress Lupita Nyong’o as Helen of Troy and Clytemnestra, and trans actor Elliot Page as Sinon.

According to The Guardian, Nyong’o personally responded to critics calling out her casting in the film. “Our cast is representative of the world. I’m not spending my time thinking of a defense. The criticism will exist whether I engage with it or not."

Similarly, director Christopher Nolan shrugged off any backlash he received from the film, remarking that the controversy "“comes with the territory."

“These conversations that happen before people see the film – they’re always irrelevant, because no one having them knows what the film actually is yet," Nolan remarked.

Interestingly, Nolan also expressed his lack of confidence in the power of A.I.-generated storytelling. “The idea that it replaces human beings wholesale and human creativity, to me it’s a nonsense," the famed filmmaker said.

There's nothing like watching another country get the cool menu item. 

Wendy's operates in more than 30 countries, and while the U.S. menu holds its own, that hasn't stopped American fans from eyeing international exclusives — especially this one.

Earlier this summer, Wendy's partnered with Sega on a special collaboration available only to U.K. customers. 

While many American fans were disappointed to miss the initial release, there's now a silver lining. The meal is headed to the U.S., though it'll only be available for a limited time.

Wendy's Brings Its Sonic the Hedgehog Kids' Meal to the U.S.

Sonic the Hedgehog is celebrating his 35th anniversary this summer, and Wendy's has the most delicious way to mark the occasion. Through September, the Sonic the Hedgehog Kids' Meal is available at participating locations across the country.

Each meal comes with one of seven collectible character card cases, and inside is a unique set of cards featuring both heroes and villains from the Sonic universe: Sonic the Hedgehog, Amy Rose, Miles "Tails" Prower, Silver the Hedgehog, Knuckles the Echidna, Shadow the Hedgehog and Rouge the Bat.

On the food side, every Sonic the Hedgehog Kids' Meal lets you choose your own entrée, side and drink. Entrée options include two-piece chicken tenders, four-piece chicken nuggets, a hamburger or a cheeseburger. 

Sides are either Jr. Hot & Crispy Fries or Apple Bites, and drink choices include milk, juice, lemonade or a fountain drink.

Wendy's Sonic the Hedgehog Kids' Meal Wins Over Fans 

Instagram food reviewer @markie_devo shared a first look at the meal. Of course, fans flooded the comments over its U.S. debut. 

“Yes! Finally! That’s what I’ve been waiting for!” one commenter wrote.

“These are absolutely brilliant. Very well made. One of the best fast food toys ever. Will be great for card storage,” another user exclaimed about the trading cards. 

“Omg yes they're coming to the US!!!” a third eagerly wrote.

Comedy legend Carol Kane has barely aged a day since her time on the beloved '70s sitcomTaxi.

Kane, 74, starred in film roles ranging from Annie Hall to Dog Day Afternoon back in the '70s. But it was her role as Simka Gravas, the wife of Andy Kaufman's character, Latka Gravas, on the hit series Taxi, that made her recognizable to most American households. Focused on a team of New York City taxi drivers, played by a group that included Marilu Henner, Jeff Conaway, Christopher Lloyd, and their horribly cruel dispatcher, played by Danny DeVito, the show ran from 1978 to 1983, and went down in history as an ensemble classic. 

These days, Kane is doing better than ever. In fact, she looks like she hasn't changed all that much since her days on the beloved series. The legendary blonde hit the red carpet to attend a special screening and conversation about the Paramount+ original series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds at the 92NY in New York City. With that same long, flowing curly hair that she had back in the day, Kane looks almost ageless.

Two Taxi Legends Just Reunited

While it’s been 43 years since the conclusion of Taxi, Kane's costars, Tony Danza and Judd Hirsch, found their way back to each other recently. Danza shared a fun snap of the duo standing in a restaurant with their arms around each other. TV legends and friends forever!

“Old friends,” Danza captioned the photo.

Last year, Henner, who played Elaine Nardo on the series, got spicy during a podcast appearance when she said the Taxi cast was hotter than the Cheers cast.

“All due respect to the Cheers cast, I always thought the Taxi cast was a hotter cast,” Henner said while on the Magnificent Others with Billy Corgan podcast, the New York Post reported. “We have an expression in my family,” Henner continued, “PF, it’s like BDE, only it’s not sizeist and sexist like BDE is. PF measures the sexual quotient of people or things like, ‘Man, there was so much PF in that movie!’ or ‘God, I went to his new restaurant and…’”

“PF,” she explained, “stands for p—y factor and penis factor.”

“So I always thought the Taxi cast had more PF than most other casts,” Henner continued. “Forget about Cheers. Except for maybe Friends later.”
