Supergroup The Black Queen is building excitement after hinting at more surprises amid its ongoing tour.

The electronic dark-wave band is set to conclude its Fever Daydream 10 Year Anniversary Tourafter kicking off the trek in May, traveling through major cities across North America until June.

However, they didn't just want to end it like that; instead, they are keeping fans engaged with the promise of more news to come.

With only a few shows left before the finale on June 6 in Dallas, Texas, the band posted a cryptic message about what fans should look forward to next.

In an Instagram post, The Black Queen shared a glimpse of its one-night concert in Chicago on May 30.

Although the tour is almost over, they signaled upcoming “announcements” that may involve an expanded tour.

“We just had three days off and we’re still reeling from how special that Chicago show was. Down to the final block now, sadly. West Palm Beach, Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, you’re up. BUT, when this is over? We’ve got some announcements comin’. Places we missed in the US, UK, Australia…we’re headed your way sooner than later,” the caption reads.

Fans quickly filled the comment section with their locations, hoping the band would announce a stop in their city next.

“Philly better be on that list of places missed!” one wrote.

“Are there any kind of meet and greets happening? I’ll try to make it to the Dallas gig,” a fan commented.

“AUSTRALIA WHEN?!!” a follower asked.

“This lineup is perfect. Bring this to the UK and I'm front and centre,” another added.

“UK LET'S GOOOOOO,” a commenter remarked.

A fan also speculated that the announcement is more than just an extended tour, noting, “Do I smell a new album coming?”

The Fever Daydream 10 Year Anniversary Tour is not only a celebration of the band's debut studio album but also marks its first tour since 2019, following a seven-year hiatus.

The current live lineup which consists of former The Dillinger Escape Plan member Greg Puciato on lead vocals along with Steven Alexander Ryan also tapped ChrisPennie of Coheed and Cambria to join as their drummer. 

On the other hand, the remaining shows for The Black Queen anniversary tour are as follows:

June 3: West Palm Beach, Respectable St

June 4: Atlanta, Masquerade (Hell)

June 5: Austin, Elysium

Emilia Clarke was Emmy-nominated four times for her work on the groundbreaking series and was just honored at Variety's Power of Women London, presented by Lifetime. The English actress, 39, gave a moving speech that addressed surviving two brain hemorrhages in her 20s.

Clarke and her mother founded the SameYou charity in 2019, which is why she publicly revealed what she had been through.

“When I finally shared my story in 2019, we were overwhelmed by the response,” she said at the London event, per Variety. “Mostly young people reached out to tell us their own stories. Today we have tens of thousands of survivors in our community saying essentially the same thing: the journey to healing feels like falling off the edge of a cliff without anyone there to catch you.”

The Me Before You star also weaved in some humor during her moving speech.

"I was 22 when I suffered my first brain hemorrhage, 24 when I had my second," she said. "I was also 22 when I filmed the first season of Game of Thrones, and 24 when I made my Broadway debut. Id like to blame my brain hemorrhage for the bad reviews but it happened after we closed, early..."

In her recent cover story interview with Variety, meanwhile, Clarke opened up about a number of other things, particularly her past Emmy races. Despite being nominated four times for her performance as Daenerys Targaryen between 2011 and 2019, she never took home an award.

“I’m embarrassed to admit that not winning an Emmy was a really significant thing,” she told the magazine about her first Lead Actress nomination in 2019.

“Everyone’s over Game of Thrones now — you’re old news,” the 39-year-old admitted about how the moment made her feel. She skipped all the afterparties and went straight home that night. The next day, Clarke vowed never to “behave that way again.”

Sharon Stone is opening up about surviving a devastating attack.

The beloved actress, 68, who is best known for roles in Casino, Basic Instinct, and Total Recall, is back on TV these days with a role on HBO’s hot series Euphoria. Also a successful painter and philanthropist, the star has seen a variety of ups and downs over the years. But in an appearance on the June 1 episode of The Person Who Believed in Me podcast, hosted by CBS correspondent David Begnaud, Stone got candid about a very painful memory in her life. 10 years ago, she was physically assaulted and suffered horrific injuries.

“I don’t know how much I can tell about this. I was hit from behind," Stone shared, PEOPLE reported. "I didn’t really know ’til 10 years later what had happened to me because I woke up. I was unconscious on the floor. The two couches were sideways. The coffee table was all over the place. It was sort of upside down. Everything that had been on the coffee table was all over the floor and I didn’t know how I got there."

Stone added that a decade later, the attack was discussed when she went to the doctor after experiencing problems with the back of her neck and her shoulders.

“I went to a clinic because I was having a lot of problems with the back of my neck and my shoulders were so sore and I went to a neck and spine clinic in Marina Del Rey and they had given me propofol and they’d done a lot of X-rays of my front and back and all this stuff,” Stone shared. “They were going to do some kind of injections into what they thought was arthritis in my neck and shoulders, and they had done all these preliminary X-rays of my thoracic rib cage and my neck and my shoulders and my spine and the doctor came in and he’s like, ‘We’re not going to be able to do this surgery.’ "

It was then that the doctor told her what they saw.

“I was like, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about.’ And he’s like, ‘Your thoracic rib cage is all fractured and scarred back together. It’s clear that you were attacked and that what happened to you was a felony,’ " Stone shared.

Her doctor urged her to report the incident. When asked on the podcast who assaulted her, Stone declined to share that detail. However, she did say she reported it and "did do everything."

“I had the opportunity to press charges, but because it had been a decade and because I’m a public figure, I decided not to,” Stone said, saying while she’s “quite certain” she knows who did it to her, she thinks she would have “a hard time in court a decade later.”

Stone Finds Joy in the Present

While Stone has been through plenty of rough times, she also finds tremendous joy in the present. Last month, Stone shared a new Instagram photo as she sunned herself in preparation for summer in her own backyard.

Quentin Tarantino isn't a fan of modern movies.

The legendary filmmaker slammed Hollywood as a "flavorless sausage factory" in a scathing new article for Sight & Sound, claiming that it's "almost impossible" for him to watch a movie these days without picking it "to death."

"Flaws, implausibilities, audience pandering, miscast performers or just plain stupid s--t usually torpedoes every new movie coming out of the flavorless sausage factory that used to call itself Hollywood," Tarantino said, as per Variety. "These days, the entire concept of what is a movie is more inclined to inspire contempt in me than generosity."

The Oscar-winning director of movies including Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs continued his critique by noting that the current decade of filmmaking makes his previous least-favorite Hollywood era, the 1980s, "seem like the '30s" in terms of creative output.

Tarantino did hedge his comments by offering a number of recent movies he has "liked" over the past six years, including Steven Spielberg's West Side Story and Kevin Costner's Horizon: An American Saga films, but said there was "nothing that really held [him] in its grip and swept [him] away to the magical land of enjoyment" that originally sparked his love of movies.

"These days I’d rather read a book," the Django Unchained director added.

Tarantino also extended his compliments to Netflix's recent Ben Affleck and Matt Damon-led crime drama The Rip, which was released on the streamer in January. Directed by Joe Carnahan, The Rip follows two Miami-Dade police officers who uncover a corruption scheme and also features Steven Yeun, Teyana Taylor, Sasha Calle, and Kyle Chandler.

Praising The Rip as "suspenseful" and "exciting," Tarantino said it managed to "deliver the goods in really clever ways" thanks to the direction, "splendid cast," Juan Miguel Azpiroz's cinematography, and "sensational screenplay" by Carnahan and Michael McGrale.

Tarantino's next project, on which he served as screenwriter and producer, is the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood sequel The Adventures of Cliff Booth, directed by David Fincher and set to hit theaters on Nov. 25 before coming to Netflix on Dec. 23.

Japanese manicures are also rooted in a broader philosophy: J-beauty, or the Japanese approach to beauty. It's known for its focus on simplicity and long-term health over short-term results. Rather than masking imperfections, the goal is to enhance what's already there. This nail style comes from that mindset.

To understand the specifics of what makes a Japanese manicure different, we asked two nail industry experts: Olha Shtanhei, a nail artist and international nail championship judge, and Maryna Slynko, an educator of European manicure techniques, a beauty industry judge and founder of Slynko Beauty Bloom Studio in Kansas.

What Is a Japanese Manicure?

Japanese manicures are "flawlessly glossy, ultra-durable manicures that look pristine for weeks," says Shtanhei. It's a different gel type and application method, "that has quietly transformed the nail industry, moving far beyond traditional salon routines to offer an entirely new standard of care."

Slynko agrees that "Japanese gel is usually associated with a more natural and delicate approach to manicures, where attention is focused not only on the coating itself, but also on the overall appearance and condition of the natural nails."

How Is Japanese Gel Different From Regular Gel?

Traditional gel can feel heavy and rigid on the nail plate, while Japanese gel is applied in thinner layers and with a lighter touch, prioritizing flexibility and a clean, natural-looking finish.

The formula also differs from traditional gels. "Standard bottled gels frequently rely on chemical solvents to maintain a runny consistency, which can strip and dry out your nails over time," Shtanhei tells Parade. "True Japanese gel eliminates these thinning agents, relying instead on pure cosmetic-grade resins."

Japanese gel also has a different texture, a dense, honey-like consistency since it's solvent-free. It's traditionally packaged in small glass pots, rather than the bottles you'd find at most salons, Shtanhei explains.

The gel is applied with fine artist brushes, which gives the technician a level of precision that a standard applicator can't match. It also self-levels as it's applied, smoothing out any ridges for a finish that looks polished and precise, without looking artificial on the nail.

Traditional gel feels more dense, "especially when the goal is added strength or a more structured nail shape. Japanese gel is more commonly associated with a softer, more delicate overall manicure appearance," Slynko says.

"This system offers the structural reinforcement of hard enhancements like acrylics, while preserving the lightweight flexibility of soft gels," Shtanhei adds.

Is a Japanese Manicure Better for Your Nails?

"I don't think there's one system that is universally best for everyone," Slynko says. "A lot depends on the condition of the natural nails, a person's lifestyle and the technique used."

But for anyone who's been cycling through gel appointments and noticing their nails getting weaker each time, both experts agree that Japanese gel is gentler.

The real game-changer is the removal: Japanese gel bonds gently to the keratin layers of the nail, so it can be soaked off without the aggressive e-file drilling that causes so much thinning and damage with traditional gel.

What Are the Benefits of a Japanese Manicure?

Here are all the benefits of a Japanese manicure, according to our experts:

• Structural strength without the bulk. The flexible resin formula reinforces the nail plate without making it brittle, so nails are less prone to snapping or lifting.
• A much gentler removal. No aggressive drilling, no prolonged acetone soaks—both of which can damage your nail bed over time.
• Long-lasting. Properly applied, Japanese gel can weeks without chipping, which means fewer appointments and less cumulative wear on your nails.
• A finish that looks natural. As Slynko puts it, "many people like the thinner application and the more natural appearance of the nails"—and that clean, barely-there look is genuinely hard to achieve with traditional gel.

There are trade-offs though. "The downside is you have to spend more time in the salon chair and pay a higher price per service. You also need to find a properly trained, certified technician," Shtanhei says. Prices vary geographically, but in New York City, a Japanese gel manicure costs around $80, while a regular gel manicure is about $60.

Slynko adds that Japanese gel doesn't work equally well for every client: "They can wear differently depending on the nail type and lifestyle. That's why I always believe the system should be selected individually."

How Long Does a Japanese Manicure Last?

With a trained technician and proper aftercare, expect three to four weeks—well beyond the one to two weeks most traditional gel polishes hold before chipping or lifting. The formula bonds more securely to the nail plate and stays flexible as the nail grows, rather than cracking at the edges.

To get the most out of it, apply cuticle oil daily, wear gloves when you're cleaning or doing dishes, and try not to use your nails as tools, the nail experts advise.

How To Ask for a Japanese Manicure at the Salon

"The meaning of a Japanese gel manicure can vary from salon to salon," Slynko says. "That's why I always recommend asking questions about the system and the technique being used, and discussing the kind of result you want to achieve."

Shtanhei recommends asking your local salon if they offer pot-based Japanese soft gel services, adding, "Look for professional setups where the technician applies the base and color coats from small containers using separate detail brushes."

Those small glass pots and fine artist brushes are your visual confirmation that you're getting the real thing, she says. If the technician reaches for a standard bottle of gel polish, that's not Japanese gel—regardless of what the menu says.

"I would recommend not being afraid to tell your nail artist exactly what kind of result you like—that you prefer a more natural, thinner and cleaner manicure look without overly heavy product on the nails," Slynko says.

Boy Meets World stars Danielle Fishel and Will Friedle are finally breaking their silence on the complicated relationship they hold with former co-star Ben Savage.

“We all value that friend who says, ‘I believe in you -- but I’m not sure this is the right choice,’ ” Anderson explained. “But then they stand by your side anyway.”

Maddie’s leap to pursue her dream job also underscores a key message: it’s never too late to start over.

“We wanted to say, especially to women at transitional moments in their lives, that you’re still entitled to dream, no matter how old you are,” Anderson says. “No matter your stage in life -- go for it!”

“Maddie has the gift of good kids, a great husband, a magnificent mom, and terrific best friends. That support system is saying, ‘We want this for you as much as you want it for yourself, and we will do everything we need to do to make this work for you.’ ” 

That support system between Maddie, Dana Sue, and Helen is personified when they all ‘pour it out’ while sharing their traditional Margarita night.

Dana Sue talks in the new season about “feeling at home anywhere in the world,” because she is blessed with having supportive friends by her side, a feeling that Sweet Magnolias has celebrated since the first season.

Meanwhile, the men of Serenity are navigating their own crossroads. Cal is determined to learn from his past as he explores new paths in his baseball career. Erik (Dion Johnstone) struggles to balance family traditions with his future with Helen, leading to wedding-day tension.

While Helen is happily planning the perfect day for them, Erik insists on pushing his parents’ traditions on her, even though they do not fit well with her extremely colorful personality. 

“Erik’s pride in his family and its traditions interferes with his being able to open up to Helen and tells her he has spent his whole life wanting to be more like my dad, but maybe that’s not a good thing anymore,” she said. “Helen kind of pushes Erik to own this.” 

And, as always, Ronnie (Brandon Quinn) continues to charge ahead -- often without asking for help. “One of the most interesting contrasts this season,” Anderson notes, “is between those who ask for help and those who try to do it all alone.”

Beyond individual journeys, Season 5 also highlights the powerful legacy of female friendship across generations -- from the “Silvers” to the “Sweets” to the “Minis.”

“We talk a lot about how generations learn from each other,” Anderson says. “That sense of connection and tradition is what keeps the Magnolia spirit alive.”

She added, “The wonderful thing about our women is that they grow and they change, but they do it together. And the people who are happy now never get so lost in their happiness that they aren't looking at the people who are less happy. They're always caring about each other,” Anderson shared.

“No matter what's going on in their own lives, that's never going to end,” she said. “I predict an exquisite blend of love, romance, friendship, and family going forward.”

As for what’s next, Anderson already has her eye on the future -- even as Season 6 is still not confirmed by Netflix.

“I know exactly the juicy stories that we want to tell,” she teases. “Our characters grow and change -- but they do it together.” So, says Anderson, to expect “more love, more heart, and plenty of drama ahead.”

Season 5 of Sweet Magnolias will stream on Netflix on June 11. Seasons 1-4 are currently streaming on Netflix.

Rift? What rift? Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham is shutting down speculation about tension with co-starJason Sudeikis after her comments about an “ongoing love-hate relationship” were taken out of context.

What began as a remark about last-minute script changes quickly snowballed into a game of telephone online. Waddingham recently told Variety: “With that boy, you’ve got to roll with the punches. He and I have an ongoing love-hate relationship that he changes it last minute.”

The quote was widely interpreted as evidence of friction on set, but in context she was describing the fast-moving, improvisational nature of working together on the series rather than any real conflict.

Waddingham shared in a now-expired Instagram story that “For the first time ever I am finding it necessary to silence the utter bollocks being written about a ‘rift’ between me and my beloved, long-standing friend and acting partner Jason Sudeikis,” via Entertainment Tonight. “Ridiculous, clickbait buuuuuulllls---!”

In a 2021 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the pair repeatedly emphasized a collaborative, flexible working rhythm that underscores their on-set chemistry.

Sudeikis described the writing process as intentionally open-ended, saying, “We were really trying to use every part of the buffalo in the pilot,” noting that he often builds in “seedlings” that evolve as scenes are performed.

Waddingham echoed that adaptability, explaining, “I’m used to how Jason and the guys work now… stopping and changing and tweaking and adjusting,” even during filming. She also characterized the dynamic as creatively energizing rather than disruptive, adding that it produces “a more exciting, more guttural response on camera.”

In fact, Waddingham says working with Sudeikis is an exercise in trying not to break character. "Imagine playing Rebecca, where I'm meant to be this stoic ice queen. Imagine doing scenes when Jason has got the cheeky little pixie going on in his eyes," she told People in 2021, reflecting on her character, Rebecca Welton. "He's a nightmare! And so is Nick Mohammed [Nate Shelley], to the point where in season two, when Nick Mohammed and I have to do scenes together, we have to slightly look off the side of each other's faces."

Nowadays, it's practically a given to describe I Dream of Jeannie as one of the most influential TV shows ever made.

Seamlessly blending comedy, fantasy and romance together into one succinct series, I Dream of Jeannie remains one of the most beloved projects to air on NBC in the 1960s, paving the way for countless TV shows that followed in its wake.

Running for a total of five seasons before ceasing its run in 1970, I Dream of Jeannie proved to be a hit among '60s audience members.

Looking at it from today's perspective, however, series star Barbara Eden said she isn't so sure the show would succeed if it aired for modern viewers. As Eden herself pointedly said, "I’m not sure that [any network] would want to do it."

Speaking with Forbes, Eden discussed the one thing that likely would have prevented I Dream of Jeannie from being greenlit on NBC today. Rather than any semblance of racy or suggestive humor, though, Eden believed the main issue lay in the repeated use of the word "master" whenever Jeannie speaks with Major Tony Nelson.

While Eden herself didn't believe the word held a negative connotation whenever it was used in the show, she still felt the term would likely prove grating to today's audiences.

“You know, ‘master’ is just a word and it was in her vocabulary,” Eden said of the word's repeated appearance on I Dream of Jeannie. “She didn’t really say she was a slave. Never, you know?”

“It was actually a classic theme,” the legendary TV actress went on to say. “A thousand years and all the genies — and she was an entity. She wasn’t a human, but she thought she could be a human, and he knew she couldn’t — and there, you have the comedy, because she just wasn’t human.”

Queer Eye star Karamo Brown has finally opened up about his plastic surgery. In a new interview with People, he set the record straight about the cosmetic changes he has made and the severe health issues they caused.

The 45-year-old explained that he underwent a buccal fat removal procedure in 2021, which left him in chronic pain from scar tissue buildup that blocked his saliva from draining.

"For years, people have been like, 'Karamo's had plastic surgery. He has so much filler in his face,'" he explained. "I was like, 'You know what? I can't say anything because you can't get into fights with the trolls.' But I was suffering for years in pain and no one knew."

The culture expert told the outlet that he decided to undergo the procedure after gaining around 70 pounds during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I was a big boy, and everyone online liked to tell me how much of a big boy I was," he said. "So, I was like, 'Okay, maybe if I slim out my face, I'll be cute.' It turned into a year-and-a-half of pain."

The surgery forced saliva to accumulate in each cheek before the scar tissue hardened it. "There'd be times you'd see me smile, and it was tight," he says. "My cheeks would be big because they were full of saliva, full of scar tissue. I was in the worst pain."

The issue became more prominent when the reality star launched his own talk show, which ran for four seasons between 2022 and March this year. "I would shoot six episodes a day, and there'd be times when I was filming my show that my mouth would get so dry and it would be so swollen."

During series two of his talk show, Karamo lost 70 pounds and realized "the more weight I lost, the less scar tissue you could see," which encouraged the The Real World: Philadelphia star to stop eating.

The experience had a significant effect on Karamo, especially when it was noticed by a former Queer Eye castmate. "He was like, 'Oh, look how handsome he used to be.' I was like, 'Okay, girl, I caught your little dig, but whatever.' Those types of things affect you. They hurt your feelings." This statement comes amid rumors of tension between the cast of Queer Eye.

Karamo has kept quiet about this whole ordeal because he was "embarrassed" and admits he would do it now. Recently, Karamo underwent a procedure to fix his salivary glands and remove the scar tissue from his cheeks. He thanks his doctor and says he feels much better these days.

"I'm so thankful because I was in pain every night, every day. It was horrendous. Thanks to this doctor, I feel so much better. I'm smiling better, there's not saliva collecting, the scar tissue's gone. It's good."

Karamo told the outlet he never sued the doctor who preferred his buccal fat procedure, but he does want to be transparent and help others who are suffering from chronic pain. "I was fortunate enough to have the resources to find somebody who could help me, but I want to tell people that you don't have to suffer alone. I wish I would have told people what I was going through and not allowed myself to just stay quiet," he added.

Elvis Costello, the legendary singer and songwriter, shared a major update with fans.

After dropping the surprising news last year, fans are looking forward to seeing the “Alison” hitmaker perform live on stage once again during his U.K. and European tour.

As he gears up for the highly anticipated run, the award-winning star announced that he will be extending Radio Soul! The Songs of Elvis Costello From the Early Days to the Late Hours with a string of shows in September.

In a post on his social media, the 71-year-old musician revealed the additional six-date run, covering various cities including Lancaster, Ontario, Cleveland and Warren in Ohio, as well as Royal Oak and Muskegon in Michigan.

Tickets for the newly added run went on pre-sale starting June 3, while the general ticket sales begin June 5.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee will be joined by Costello and the Imposters alongside guitarist Charlie Sexton.

In a press release, the forthcoming tour promises performances of his signature songs from his “record releases from My Aim Is True in 1977 to Blood & Chocolate in 1986, along with other surprises."

"You can expect the unexpected and the faithful in equal measure," Costello said. "Don't forget this show is 'Performed by Elvis Costello & the Imposters,' an ensemble which includes three people who first recorded this music and two more who bring something entirely new. They are nobody's tribute band.”

The tour will kick off with a two-night concert in Sweden starting June 5, followed by shows in Germany, England, Belgium and the Netherlands this month.

Happy birthday, Princess Lilibet! Meghan Markle andPrince Harry’s daughter just turned five, and it looks like the famous family is already celebrating. 

Markle took to Instagram early Thursday morning, posting a cute carousel of snapshots marking the now-five-year-old’s big day with the caption, “Our dream girl. Happy 5th birthday, Lili.”

The family photos include a precious pic of mom Meghan smiling as dad Harry holds little Lili. She also includes a second picture of the birthday girl standing barefoot in the garden, reaching for a flower. 

Unlike her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, Markle gave birth to her daughter in the U.S. without all of the royal fanfare. Lilibet was born on June 4, 2021, at Santa Barbara Hospital in Santa Barbara, California. 

Even though Lili wasn't born in Great Britain, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex still managed to create a connection between their daughter and her roots in the monarchy. Her first name, Lilibet, is in honor of the five-year-old’s great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Lili’s middle name, Diana, is obviously a nod to Prince Harry’s mother, Princess Diana. 

Like other celeb parents, Prince Harry and Meghan have gone to great lengths to protect their family’s privacy. Neither of the birthday images shows Lilibet’s full face. In the first photo, Lilibet is turned away from the camera, and in the second, her striking red hair (like dad's)acts as camouflage. 

The couple doesn’t often share photos of their children (Lilibet’s older brother Archie just turned seven in May), making this a rare glimpse into their lives. Markle and Harry famously moved to the U.S., distancing themselves from the royal family and media scrutiny. They now live in a gated estate in the scenic Montecito region of California. 

Based on the limited family photos Markle shares on social media, it looks like she and Harry are able to give their kiddos a fairly normal life. In May, the lifestyle-brand entrepreneur posted a series of photos on Instagram from a day at Disney.

If you’re looking for the perfect book to read while relaxing on the beach this summer, you’re in luck because Vogue recently released a list of “The Best Beach Reads to Lose Yourself in This Summer.” The list includes the 1954 French novel by Françoise Sagan, Bonjour Tristesse.

The author was only 18 when she wrote the book, which became an international bestseller. It ended up being adapted into a 1958 English-language film of the same name, which was released by Columbia Pictures.

The novel, which is less than 200 pages and can be read in one sitting, tells the tale of a teenager summering in the south of France. Its Amazon description reads: “Endearing, self-absorbed, seventeen-year-old Cécile is the very essence of untroubled amorality. Freed from the stifling constraints of boarding school, she joins her father—a handsome, still-young widower with a wandering eye—for a carefree, two-month summer vacation in a beautiful villa outside of Paris with his latest mistress. Cécile cherishes the free-spirited moments she and her father share, while plotting her own sexual adventures with a ‘tall and almost beautiful’ law student.”

The book has a 4.6 star-rating on Amazon. One reviewer called it a “light and easy read.” Another said, “I read it on vacation, and it made the vacation so perfect and memorable. Such a vibrant, dramatic, funny summer read.”

Sagan went on to write more than 50 works throughout her career, including additional novels, plays, essays, and short story collections. Sagan died in 2004 at the age of 69. She wrote her own obituary, which said, “Appeared in 1954 with a slender novel Bonjour Tristesse, which created a scandal worldwide. Her death, after a life and a body of work that were equally pleasant and botched, was a scandal only for herself.”

The French President, Jacques Chirac, also commented on her passing. According to BBC News, he said, "With her death, France loses one of its most brilliant and sensitive writers – an eminent figure of our literary life."

Some other novels that made the list of “The Best Beach Reads to Lose Yourself in This Summer” were In the Woods by Tana French, Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid, and Bad Summer People by Emma Rosenblum.

It’s rare for an album to keep rewriting its own history, but this 1977 rock blockbuster is doing exactly that nearly 50 years on.

Fleetwood Mac's Rumours continues to break records by hitting a stunning milestone on Billboard's Catalog Albums chart. The LP sat at No. 1 on a 2025 year-end ranking list that tracked a comprehensive catalog of popular music at least 18 months old. Currently, Rumours ranks at No. 5 on that same list.

But its chart placement only tells part of the story. What keeps Rumours in constant rotation is the way it continues to draw in new listeners while never really leaving longtime fans behind.

The LP still resonates. Nearly 50 years later, it hasn’t just stayed relevant; it's become a beloved collection of songs that remains as fresh and new today as it was when Rumours was first released in 1977.

Ken Caillat, the album's producer, admitted in an interview for the official Grammy website that Fleetwood Mac's personal chaos helped craft a cohesive collection of songs that defined its legacy.

As recording the LP commenced, married bandmates John McVie and Christine McVie split, and Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks ended their relationship. Mick Fleetwood’s marriage likewise came to an end around the same period.

"What I liked about Rumours is that [it was] a really sweet journey with a bunch of naive people just trying to hold it together. It's really the great American story," Caillat explained.

"We had no idea what we had. We were so tired," he added. "Most weeks, we worked seven days a week. You never know when you're going to do something great."

He concluded that the members of Fleetwood Mac "worked as this great team, and they almost thought as one. And I got to see it all."

McVie explained to Rolling Stone in 1977 that there was an overwhelming push to "carry on" despite the group's internal drama. "Everybody was pretty weirded out. Somehow, Mick was there, the figurehead: ‘We must carry on… let’s be mature about this, sort it out.’ Somehow we waded through it.”

Buckingham later told Rolling Stone in 1984, "When Rumours went crazy, I just couldn’t bring myself to feel strongly about the album. At some point, all the stuff surrounding it started to become the main focus."

Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours continues to pick up chart milestones nearly 50 years after its release, securing its status as one of the most enduring albums of all time.

I live with a toddler and a dog, so I'll leave it to your imagination to guess how many times a month I have to deep-clean my upholstery. Unlike your traditional upholstery cleaner, the Shark StainForce is nice and compact. It's a smaller version of an upholstery cleaner, boasting a cordless design and zero tubes. Instead, there is a small water tank built into the main device that can be easily emptied after use. The tank collects debris and dirty water, and you don't need to fill it with clean water—it will suction water from the stain or from the spray bottle that comes included with the machine.

Normally, with compact versions of must-have household appliances, you expect zero attachments. In this case, you get everything that comes with a full-size upholstery cleaner: a crevice tool, for corners and awkward gaps, plus another head with reversible sides—one for scrubbing and a flat one.

The handheld device weighs only 6.3 lbs, so it's not heavy at all. It boasts a one-button operation, so it's pretty simple to use, and there's a step-by-step sticker on the side of the machine in case you're confused. When it comes to logistics, it does take five hours to charge, which I know is a long time, but this charge time makes sense when you see how much power it packs.

You can use it for 15 minutes in total, and during this time, the tiny tank shouldn't get full. There's also a cleaning cycle you should run after use, which requires the caddy and a little bit of water from your sink.

What I Like About the Shark StainForce

I used this handheld spot cleaner to tackle a red wine stain on my living room rug, instead of having to do the hefty job of fitting it into my washing machine. There's a certain way to clean wet stains and dry stains, and this is well-explained on the side of the machine.

First of all, I switched the machine on and began to suction any leftover red wine away from my rug. Then, I went in with the spray bottle and liberally coated the stain with this magic liquid. I actually saw the red stain neutralize in front of my eyes, and the scent of red wine melted away, too. It's like magic in a bottle! I left it for a minute or so and then went in to scrub the stain, with the machine off so as to preserve battery life. After I was happy with my scrubbing job, I went in and switched the machine on to suction any dirt and water away from the stain. I was seriously impressed.

I also used this scrubber on a dried stain, which I can only assume is from a chocolate cookie that my toddler smuggled from the pantry. This was pretty dry, so I was a little apprehensive about whether it would work. Instead of going in first of all with suction, I went straight to the spray. It removed the stain instantly, after a little scrubbing, and I actually couldn't believe something so tiny could be so powerful.

I do love the fact that this device is small, much like a handheld vacuum. It's great for cleaning up car messes, too, and car seats from inevitable dirt and stains. I really like that it's not too heavy, so your arm doesn't feel weak after using it for its full battery life. After cleaning, there is a simple-to-follow self-cleaning cycle that you can do to ensure it's ready for next use. Otherwise, all parts do need cleaning and drying, as you'd expect.

Other than its power and the magic spray that comes included, the thing I love most about this device is how handy it is to store. My cleaning closet is tiny, and in here also lives my dryer, so I am forever battling for spare floor space. The caddy that comes with this machine makes it so easy to find and carry around my house; it's a total game-changer from my old, cumbersome machine, which was seriously heavy, especially once the water tank was filled with grime. Another thing I love? The low prep that comes with this machine. You don't have to fill a water tank or do anything other than pick it up and spray the stain.

It does take five hours to charge, which is one of the things that I dislike most about the Shark StainForce. Otherwise, I can't complain about anything else. It's a win-win for parent—both pet and human.

Micky Dolenz marked a major milestone in his history with The Monkees. The legendary actor and musician posted to Instagram to share a memory of filming the very first episode of The Monkees TV series in June 1966.

Dolenz, 81, shared a series of photos from the episode as well as the first page of the Screen Gems script penned by Dave Evans. He also showed the opening credits listing Robert Rafelson as the director of the episode that featured the Monkees as unlikely horsesitters.

“60 years ago this week, we began filming 'Don’t Look a Gift Horse in the Mouth,' which was the first episode we shot for The Monkees series,” Dolenz captioned the post on June 3. “I’d love to say I remember every detail clearly, but honestly, in those days we were moving so fast that if you blinked you might miss an episode, a song, a costume change, and possibly a horse.”

The “I’m a Believer” singer noted that screenwriter Evans also co-wrote the later episode "The Frodis Caper" with him, which Dolenz also directed.

“Davy, Mike, Peter, and I were suddenly thrown into this wonderful, mad adventure, guided by the vision of Bob Rafelson and Bert Schneider, who somehow looked at the four of us and thought, ‘Yes, this could work,’" Dolenz recalled. “I’m grateful to have been part of it, grateful to the fans who have kept it alive all these years, and grateful to my three brothers in Monkee mayhem."

Dolenz starred alongside Davy Jones, Mike Nesmith, and Peter Tork on the NBC musical sitcomThe Monkees from 1966 to 1968. While the TV series only aired for two seasons, it spawned a plethora of pop-rock music from the made-for-TV band. The Monkees had three No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hits during the height of their television fame.

While “Don’t Look a Gift Horse in the Mouth” was the first episode filmed besides the unaired Monkees pilot, the episodes didn’t appear on TV chronologically. “Gift House” actually didn’t air until eight episodes in, per IMDb. The first episode to run when the series made its debut on Sept. 12, 1966, was titled “Royal Flush.”

According to the official Monkees Facebook page, the pilot was shot in November 1965, in part, at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego.

Dolenz once told Best Classic Bands that after he auditioned for The Monkees he didn’t get overly excited about where it would go.

“I knew The Monkees was going to be a pilot, and I knew that pilots mostly do not get sold,” he said. “I saw the ad [for actors] in Variety. It wasn’t in the music papers. They were going for four kids who just jumped off the screen, four characters that were charismatic and different.  …The music was not at the top of the list of their priorities. It had to be there, and we had to be comfortable around music, but it was heavily weighted toward the improvisation.”

“But I didn’t get enormously invested in the whole thing,” he added. “I knew it was a pilot. It was late November 1965. I was still going to school [at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College] when we did the pilot. I was kind of encouraged to be kind of goofy and improvise and be unusual.”

“It obviously clicked and it had chemistry,” The Monkees legend said of the pilot. “The series got picked up. That is when I quit school.”
