The 42-year-old actress just returned to the spotlight after reuniting with co-star Justin Baldoni, as showcased in his recent social-media post.

Baldoni’s clever use of the word “dancing” alludes to his recent appearance in the Dancing with the Stars audience. The It Ends With Us star and director was seen alongside wife Emily Baldoni and their two kids, Maiya and Maxwell, per E! News.

Another Bachelor Nation couple has called it quits.

Mel Owens and Peg Munson—who met and started dating on season 2 of The Golden Bachelor in 2025—recently broke up, according to a video Munson posted to Instagram on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

“As a lot of you guys know, I went on The Golden Bachelor hoping to find love. And I did. And for that I’m grateful. I did have to make the difficult decision to step away from the relationship and sometimes even when there’s love, it just doesn’t turn out the way that we hoped,” Munson said.

“Right now, I’m just focusing on healing my heart and focusing on myself, my health, and looking forward to the next chapter,” she continued. “I really do wish Mel the best of luck and I’m very grateful for the experience and I’m grateful for the memories.”

The retired firefighter and bomb technician then thanked her followers and all the support she’s received since The Golden Bachelor aired last year.

“Thank you for standing beside me this past year. Your kindness means more than you know,” she concluded. “This is not the end of my story. It’s the beginning of a new chapter.”

Owens hasn’t publicly commented on the breakup.

On the show, Owens gave his final rose to Munson over runner-up Cindy Cullers. In the finale, Owens gave Munson a promise ring instead of proposing.

In August, the couple celebrated their one-year anniversary.

“Cheers to one year! 🥂🤍,” Munson wrote on Instagram at the time. “One year since the Fantasy Suite, and there’s definitely a lot to look back on! From that unforgettable chapter to everything that came after, we’re just feeling grateful for the memories, the laughs, and the journey.”

Prior to the show, Owens was married to his ex-wife Fabiana Pimentel Owens for 25 years, and the couple shares two sons. Munson was previously married as well and has one daughter.

James Buchanan Duke, the businessman who helped control more than 90% of the American cigarette market, used his fortune to support education, hospitals, orphan care and churches.

In December 1924, he created the Duke Endowment with $40 million, about two decades after his tobacco business reached its peak of power.

Duke made his fortune by producing cigarettes on a large scale, buying out competitors, and using advertising to attract customers. His business success made him one of the most powerful industrialists of his time, but his efforts to control the tobacco market also drew legal action from the U.S. government.

Today, Duke is best known for his role in building Duke University and supporting communities across North Carolina and South Carolina. His story links the growth of a major American tobacco business with one of the region’s best-known charitable foundations.

Born on Dec. 23, 1856, near Durham, North Carolina, James Buchanan Duke grew up in a family that made its living growing and selling tobacco. His father, Washington Duke, ran a tobacco business that James and his brother Benjamin later helped expand.

In 1874, the family opened a tobacco factory in Durham, according to Philanthropy Roundtable. James, often called Buck, pushed the business to use machines that could make cigarettes much faster than workers using older methods.

In 1885, Duke secured a license to use an automated cigarette-making machine invented by James Albert Bonsack. The technology helped the company produce large numbers of cigarettes at a lower cost.

Duke also understood the power of advertising. His company promoted its products through billboards and cigarette cards featuring pictures that customers could collect. These campaigns helped make Duke’s cigarette brands popular across the country.

In 1890, Duke brought together his company and four competitors to form the American Tobacco Company, per EBSCO. The new business quickly gained control of much of the American cigarette market. By 1904, Duke’s tobacco empire was widely associated with control of roughly 90% of the market, giving him enormous influence over the industry.

However, the company’s growth came at a cost to many independent tobacco farmers. Its aggressive pricing practices pushed down the prices farmers received for their crops, making it harder for some to earn a living. The company’s business methods also faced growing opposition.

In 1911, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a ruling that forced the American Tobacco Company to break apart under federal antitrust law. The decision ended the company’s monopoly and divided its business among smaller companies.

Duke had already begun looking beyond tobacco. He invested in hydroelectric power, believing that reliable and affordable electricity could help factories and towns across the Carolinas grow.

On Dec. 11, 1924, Duke established the Duke Endowment with a gift of $40 million. The foundation was designed to support causes he believed would improve life in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Rather than allowing the money to be spent on any charitable cause, Duke gave detailed instructions on how it should be used. His plan directed funding toward four main areas: higher education, hospitals, orphan care and rural Methodist churches.

Duke’s interest in education was especially clear in his support for Trinity College, a small Methodist school in Durham. Per The New York Times, he had already pledged $6 million to transform the college into Duke University, named in honor of his father.

In explaining his decision to support the university, Duke wrote: “I have selected Duke University as one of the principal objects of this trust because I recognize that education, when conducted along sane and practical, as opposed to dogmatic and theoretical, lines, is, next to religion, the greatest civilizing influence.”

His concern for hospitals and children also shaped the endowment. He wanted communities to have medical care for people who could not afford treatment, while orphan care reflected his own experience of growing up without his mother.

Duke died in New York City on Oct. 10, 1925, less than a year after creating the endowment. His will directed additional money to the foundation, increasing the resources available for its work.

She was often called “the richest actress in Hollywood,” but despite racking up over 100 credits in film and TV over the course of her career, her wealth didn’t come from being a movie star. That’s because Dina Merrill was born wealthy to begin with, and if that weren’t enough, she married money, too.

Merrill was born Nedenia Marjorie Hutton in New York City in 1923 to Wall Street broker E. F. Hutton and breakfast cereal heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post (she later took Dina Merrill as a stage name). As one might imagine, Merrill’s childhood was very comfortable, with up to half the year spent on the family yacht, according to the New York Times. Called the Sea Cloud, the yacht was described as a “floating palace” with fireplaces, marble bathrooms, a barber shop and a wine cellar. Among the guests entertained on the vessel were the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.

During the winter, Merrill’s family lived at the 115-room Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida (this was, of course, decades before a certain future president would buy Mar-a-Lago and turn it into a resort).

Despite her advantages, Merrill’s future success as an actress wasn’t assured. Her father wanted her to be a lawyer or run for Congress. Instead, she dropped out of George Washington University after one year to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. While pursuing her dream, she earned money by modeling for Vogue for $10 an hour.

“It never occurred to me to ask my father or mother to pay for something they didn’t believe in,” she said later. “My ambitions were my own — not exactly the ones they had for me.”

Merrill made her Broadway debut with a small part in John Van Druten’s The Mermaids Singing in 1945. The next year, she married Stanley M. Rumbough Jr., heir to the Colgate-Palmolive consumer products fortune, and stepped back from the stage for the most part for the next decade, focusing on the couple’s three children. (After divorcing Rumbough in 1966, she married actor Cliff Robertson later that same year; the pair had one daughter.) She was over 30 when she finally landed her first role in a movie, the part of a reference desk worker alongside Katharine Hepburn in 1957’s Desk Set with Spencer Tracy.

Many more film roles would follow; among them, a Navy nurse alongside Cary Grant and Tony Curtis in Operation Petticoat, a woman who loses her husband to Elizabeth Taylor in Butterfield 8 (1960); the socialite wife of an assistant D.A. played by Burt Lancaster in The Young Savages (1961). For a time, she was marketed as “Hollywood’s new Grace Kelly.” Merrill eventually became a regular presence on TV, too, appearing in Bonanza, Mission: Impossible, Murder, She Wrote and other programs. She even returned to Broadway.

Still, Merrill never attained household name status. At one point, she expressed frustration over being discouraged from working as a young mother and reflected on how her career might have been different if she had more support.

“You didn’t go to work then if you had young children,” she said in 1979. “But the 20s are very important years to an actress. If I had it to do over again today, I might continue working.”

Merrill and Robertson were divorced in 1986; three years later, in 1989, she married former Navy fighter pilot, actor and investment banker Ted Hartley. She devoted her time mostly to working as a philanthropist, advocating for women’s health issues and juvenile diabetes research.

Merrill and Hartley were still married when she died in 2017 at the age of 93 in her East Hampton, N.Y. home. Merrill’s estimated net worth at the time of her death was $500 million (though some sources say it was closer to $5 billion).

How a Superhero TV Show Created a Pop Hit

Written by composer Mike Post and lyricist Stephen Geyer for The Greatest American Hero, the song opened the ABC comedy-drama that ran from 1981 to 1983. The series followed Ralph Hinkley, a high school teacher who receives a superhero suit from aliens but loses the instructions for using it properly.

Interestingly, Post wasn’t sold on the premise at first, saying the show’s concept sounded “nuts.” But he agreed to work on the theme, asking Geyer to write lyrics that connected flying in a superhero suit with the feeling of falling in love.

The result was a soaring, synth-driven soft-rock track built around Scarbury’s earnest vocals and a chorus that captured the wonder of suddenly discovering a new side of yourself. It worked as both an introduction to the television series and a standalone pop song.

The Song Nearly Reached No. 1

“Believe It or Not” climbed the Billboard Hot 100 in the summer of 1981, peaking at No. 2 for two weeks in August, blocked from the top spot by “Endless Love,” the duet by Diana Ross and Lionel Richie. It did, however, reach No. 1 on the Cash Box and Record World singles charts, according to historical chart records.

Despite its success, Scarbury couldn’t replicate the hit. His album America’s Greatest Hero, which included the theme and other show-related songs, failed to produce another ditty with comparable popularity. Grunge noted that Scarbury never returned to the Billboard Top 40, cementing his one-hit-wonder status.

‘Believe It or Not’ Found a Second Life on TV

The song’s legacy extended well beyond its original series. One of its most famous later appearances came in the Seinfeld episode “The Susie,” in which George Costanza, played by Jason Alexander, turns the tune into an answering-machine message.

The scene introduced the song to a new generation of television viewers and gave it a second life as a comedy reference.

More than four decades after its chart peak, “Believe It or Not” remains a distinctive example of how a television theme can become a hit in its own right. Grunge’s ranking recognizes the song’s unusual combination of nostalgic TV history, polished soft-rock sound, and chart success.

It’s a memorable achievement for an artist whose biggest moment came from a song about an ordinary man discovering he could fly.

After years of asking, Ritz fans will get to try a new kind of cracker that’s getting such an enthusiastically positive response that they say they “could cry” from excitement. Like the original crackers consumers have known and loved for over 90 years, the newcomers promise to be flaky, buttery, and golden-baked.

Starting this month, Ritz will offer gluten-free crackers at select retailers like Walmart and Albertsons for a suggested retail price of $4.49 for an eight-ounce package. Then in February 2027, the crackers, which contain no artificial colors or flavors, will expand to retailers nationwide. 

“This is the launch our fans have been asking for the most. Ritz Gluten Free is unmistakably Ritz: the same iconic taste and satisfying flakiness you know and love. After 90 years of bringing people together, we’re proud to welcome even more snackers to the table,” Olympia Portale, Senior Director, Core Crackers & Head of Savory Portfolio Strategy, Mondelēz International, told Parade.

The brand took to social media to share the news, prompting an immediate celebration on Instagram, with fans writing that they are “teleporting to Walmart” and declaring, “This is incredible. Just in time for the holidays.” 

Several chimed in to explain how Ritz were their favorite crackers before needing to switch to a gluten-free diet, explaining that they “have been waiting 15 years” for a launch like this, and thanking the brand for the inclusion, writing that they “could cry” and revealing that “this is genuinely everything to me.”

“February menu to strictly consist of everything and anything that can and will be topped on a Ritz,” said one commenter, and Ritz agrees, suggesting that consumers pair the crackers with cucumber and hummus, top them with brie and fig jam for a holiday appetizer, or crumble them into a casserole. 

“Ritz is a modern brand built for today’s shared moments, and our fans have been asking for a gluten-free version for years,” said Portale in a statement. “Everyone deserves a seat at the Ritz brand table.”

Since he’s widely considered one of the greatest (if not the greatest) songwriters of all time, the opinions Bob Dylan has shared about his musical contemporaries over the years have carried, and do carry, a lot of weight. After all, even Paul McCartney recently admitted he’s too nervous to call Dylan about a collaboration. So the fact that Dylan once called a peer “number one” is a pretty big deal, even if he did reserve an even higher level of praise for himself.

Who was the musician in question? Leonard Cohen, of course, one of the other major songwriting geniuses of the era. Cohen and Dylan were both fans of each other’s work, and spent a little bit of time together. As Cohen told the New Yorker years later, Dylan once called him and asked him to come and look at a piece of property he had bought. On the drive there, Dylan (who was behind the wheel) told Cohen that a famous songwriter once told him, “Okay, Bob. You’re number one, but I’m number two.”

Dylan then turned to Cohen and said, “As far as I’m concerned, Leonard, you’re number one and I’m number zero.”

“Meaning, as I understood it at the time, and I was not ready to dispute it, that his work was beyond measure and my work was pretty good,” Cohen explained.

This in-transit conversation wasn’t the only time Dylan praised Cohen.

“When people talk about Leonard, they fail to mention his melodies, which to me, along with his lyrics, are his greatest genius,” Dylan once said, per Rock and Roll Garage.

“Even the counterpoint lines — they give a celestial character and melodic lift to every one of his songs. As far as I know, no one else comes close to this in modern music,” he continued. “Even the simplest song, like ‘The Law,’ which is structured on two fundamental chords, has counterpoint lines that are essential. Anybody who even thinks about doing this song and loves the lyrics would have to build around the counterpoint lines.”

“His gift or genius is in his connection to the music of the spheres. In the song ‘Sisters of Mercy,’ for instance, the verses are four elemental lines which change and move at predictable intervals but the tune is anything but predictable. The song just comes in and states a fact. And after that anything can happen and it does, and Leonard allows it to happen. His tone is far from condescending or mocking. He is a tough-minded lover who doesn’t recognize the brush-off. Leonard’s always above it all.”

Cohen shared similar sentiments about Dylan during a 1986 press conference after the latter received the ASCAP Founders Award.

“Bob Dylan is a figure that arises every three or four hundred years who represents and embodies all the finest aspirations of the human heart,” Cohen said.

“He is unparalleled in the world of music and will remain a torch for all singers and all hearts for many generations to come,” he continued. “Well, I don’t think there is a beautiful spirit that has arisen in America for many generations. I doubt if a beautiful spirit will arise for many generations. We are privileged to be in the company of one of the greatest hearts, that have spoken of the heart, in America for a long, long time.”

The fans have spoken, and The Dark Knight has officially been crowned the fan-voted greatest film of the last 25 years by Rotten Tomatoes.

Released in July 2008, the action epic stars Christian Bale as Batman, alongside Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent, Michael Caine as Alfred, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel Dawes, and Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon. Perhaps the most notable cast member, however, is the late Heath Ledger, whose portrayal of the Joker is widely considered one of the most memorable performances in superhero-movie history.

Heath Ledger’s Joker Became a Defining Movie Performance

To prepare for the role, Ledger reportedly isolated himself in a London hotel room for about a month, experimenting with voices and keeping a journal to develop the Joker’s disturbing personality.

In a 2007 interview with The New York Times, Ledger described the character as a “psychopathic, mass-murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy.”

He also discussed the toll of immersing himself in the role, saying, “Last week I probably slept an average of two hours a night. I couldn’t stop thinking. My body was exhausted, and my mind was still going.”

Ledger died in January 2008, months before the film premiered. His performance was subsequently recognized with a posthumous Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor at the 2009 Oscars, making the role an especially poignant part of his legacy.

Looks like Deadheads will have a reason to be extra thankful this Thanksgiving Day (especially those in need of a tropical getaway).

Drummer Bill Kreutzmann, the last surviving original member of the Grateful Dead, has announced a three-day event called “A Very Grateful Thanksgiving” to be held this year at Kauai, Hawaii’s Porter Pavilion on Nov. 27, 28, and 29.

Performers will include David Rawlings, Gillian Welch, Holly Bowling and Sam Grisman, whose father played alongside Jerry Garcia in a ’90s ensemble.

“I still love seeing music, almost as much as I love playing it, and I miss my fallen brothers, and I miss being around all the Deadheads,” Kreutzmann told Rolling Stone.

“It’s a feeling that has left me overwhelmed with gratitude and thanks.”

Deadheads on Instagram were more than ready to pack their bags.

“Got plane, jeep and abode, just waiting on the tickets!! Fingers crossed gotta get in on this deal,” one person wrote.

As Kreutzmann explained, “A Very Grateful Thanksgiving” will also benefit the local community in Hawaii, where he lives.

“So for Thanksgiving this year, I wanted to throw a party and hear some of the musicians I’ve been digging lately take their turn,” he said. “But the part of Kauai that I live on really took a blow with the hurricane. The island is still recovering. So I decided to move my Thanksgiving party a couple miles over, to the Porter Pavilion, and make it a weekend-long celebration — with everyone invited. It’ll benefit my local venue (which took a hit from the storm) and it’ll be a coming together of the Deadhead community, including all these incredible musicians.”

“As we’ve all seen, these songs haven’t stopped just because the band did,” Kreutzmann added. “They were never meant to be presented as snapshots from the past, stuck in time — they’re still evolving in real time. There’s a great gift of renewal somewhere in there.”

Judith Light is stunning on the red carpet, 34 years after Who’s the Boss? ended.

The acclaimed actress, 77, became a staple of ’80s sitcoms in the role of high-powered advertising executive and single mom Angela Bower. She played the straight-laced one opposite Tony Danza, who famously played Tony Micelli, a Brooklyn-bred former baseball player who worked as her housekeeper. The show, which starred Alyssa Milano as Danza’s daughter, Samantha, was a favorite of families into the early ’90s. But 34 years after that classic series ended, Light has tackled diverse roles in every genre. She’s starred in Ugly Betty, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, and Transparent, as well as rocking the stage in a variety of theatrical roles. The star just returned to the theater to hit the red carpet in a power suit at the 860 opening night on Broadway at the Imperial Theatre in New York City, and showed off that famous attitude we know and love.

Judith Light Just Joined Shrinking For Season 4

Light has an exciting new gig coming around the bend. She just signed on to join season 4 of the acclaimed Apple TV series Shrinking. She’ll join cast mainstays Jason Segel, Harrison Ford, Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, and Ted McGinley, as well as new additions Christian Slater and Karen Gillian, Variety reported last month. As for who Light will portray, that’s significantly under wraps.

Light Will Appear on Season 2 of Presumed Innocent

Shrinking won’t be Light’s only role on an Apple TV series. Back in March, Variety shared that Light will appear on season 2 of Presumed Innocent alongside Rachel Brosnahan, who will serve as the season’s lead. Other cast members include Matthew Rhys, Courtney B. Vance, Fiona Shaw, Jack Reynor, John Magaro, Michael Hsu Rosen, Lesley-Ann Brandt and Ji-young Yoo. Sounds like she’ll have a pretty packed schedule.

The Amazing Race 39 brought plenty of new in this week’s episode. The Emmy-winning show visited Albania for the first time, marking its 99th country off the map. And in doing so, it brought a turn on one of the show’s newest twists, as not one, but two Driver’s Seat tasks gave one team all the power. It was an up-and-down day for nearly the entire cast, as last-minute navigation spared one team — and spurned another.

No matter the location, the situation seemed to be the same every leg for Dafina and Saran Dunmore. The sisters would fall to the back of the pack early on each week. Then, through either a power play or their dominance in a task, they would surge to the middle. Only to, by the end of the leg, be scrapping to avoid elimination. Along the way, we saw everything from an Express Pass to the first-ever Roadside Assistance get played to guarantee Dafina and Saran would make it to the next day. In Albania, despite yet again starting behind, the two were able to catch up with the rest of the teams, and even left the final task comfortably in the middle of the pack. But the sisters went off in an entirely different direction, and getting lost ended with their loss on the race.

Which teams finished at the top of The Amazing Race 39 tonight?

Michelle Rozalski Patterson and Matt Patterson won their second leg in a row. But it certainly wasn’t without some mess! The married parents got to be in the Driver’s Seat not once, but twice this leg (see below). And, while every team seemed to struggle with navigating through the Albanian city, they had the least amount of difficulty, continuing their dominance on the season. Daisha Wilks and Dalton Hamby earned their highest placement yet, a second-place finish that came after leaving Ann-Marie and Riley Tejcek in the dust after the mother/daughter team helped them with a task. And friends Conner Wilson and Garrett McGuire finished a respectable third, one of only two teams left with an Express Pass for the next leg.

Which teams finished at the bottom of The Amazing Race 39 tonight?

Married couple Erin Taylor and Javi Vintimilla experienced their first trip to the back of the pack since the first task of the season. While Erin struggled on the baking Roadblock, Javi was able to help make up time with his code-cracking skills, having them narrowly avoid elimination. Finishing in seventh were Anuar Tager and Andrea Tager Ballesca, who had far and away their most eventful day to date. The father/daughter duo got hit with the biggest amounts in both Roadblocks, survived, then proceeded to clash as they got lost getting to the final task.

Double the Driver’s Seat, double the fun!

This week’s episode saw the return of a recent Amazing Race staple: The Driver’s Seat. This task gives the first team to arrive the power to determine how hard the upcoming task is for the other teams. However, the race threw an additional wrinkle in this season. There were two Roadblocks in this leg, and therefore two Driver’s Seats! Matt and Michelle arrived at first to both of the tasks, meaning they single-handedly decided what each team had to do in the Roadblocks. And, while they cruised through to another first-place finish, there’s a good chance that some of these teams will not forget what they did the next time they see a U-Turn board.

The town of Baesweiler welcomed a famous guest on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Priscilla Presley, 81, visited with her son, Navarone Garibaldi Garcia, 39. She reportedly signed the town’s golden book, a guest book that holds the signatures of notable visitors, and took part in a Q&A about her life with ex-husband Elvis Presley.

Presley thanked the crowd, said she looked forward to a wonderful evening with everyone, then introduced her son. Navarone took the microphone and said he was “just happy to be traveling with my mom.” He thanked the audience for the welcome and said everyone had been kind to both of them. Presley watched him with a smile.

Navarone is her son with former partner Marco Garibaldi, whom she split from in 2006 after more than 20 years together. She and Elvis also shared daughter Lisa Marie Presley, who died in 2023 at 54.

The Germany stop is part of a busy year of European appearances for Presley. She held a press event and signed the golden book in Hallein, Austria, in March, and gave talks at an Elvis museum in Randers, Denmark. She’s also due in Basel, Switzerland, on Oct. 24. In May, she and Navarone spoke together at a talk in Las Vegas about the hard years after the family’s losses.

Her son’s well-being has long been central to her story. Presley told People in 2025 that she helped Navarone through addiction. She said she stayed with him through withdrawal and that he has been sober since and is doing well. Navarone is a musician and the frontman of the band Them Guns.

For the people of Baesweiler, the visit was a chance to hear stories of life with Elvis from the woman who knew him best. For Presley, it was also a trip shared with her son.

LaMelo Ball has listed his luxury condo in Charlotte, North Carolina, for $2.6 million after joining the Minnesota Timberwolves in a trade that ended his six-season run with the Charlotte Hornets. 

The NBA star bought the property from former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton for $2.47 million in 2024.

The four-bedroom condo sits inside The Trust, an exclusive residential building in Uptown Charlotte. The property covers about 3,495 square feet and offers city views, modern interiors and luxury features.

Ball’s decision to sell comes as he prepares for a new chapter in Minnesota. The Timberwolves acquired the 25-year-old guard in a four-team trade in July 2026, along with Josh Green.

According to the listing details reported by Realtor, the condo is priced at $2.6 million and is being marketed by Erika Mendoza of Coldwell Banker Realty.

Ball’s former home combines spacious living areas with custom features. The condo has four bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and one half-bathroom.

Large windows and high ceilings help create an open feel throughout the residence. Its polished marble floors feature gold and gray details, while the kitchen has modern cabinets, stainless-steel appliances and a large waterfall-style island.

The property also includes a custom wet bar and a dressing room designed to resemble a high-end fashion boutique. Glass-front cabinets and built-in storage provide space for clothing, shoes and accessories.

A private outdoor terrace gives residents an additional place to relax. The building also has a shared rooftop terrace with views of the Charlotte skyline, as well as two designated parking spaces in a secured garage.

The Trust has only seven private residences. Built in 1967, the building was later converted into an upscale residential property along South Tryon Street in Uptown Charlotte.

Before buying the property, Ball rented the condo from Newton, who played quarterback for the Carolina Panthers and became one of the team’s best-known players.

Ball completed the $2.47 million purchase in 2024 through a limited liability company. The property had previously been listed for $2.5 million.

The condo was not Ball’s only purchase in the building. He also bought another unit on the floor below for $2.2 million in 2023.

The building has connections to other sports figures, too. Former NBA star Michael Jordan, who previously held a minority ownership stake in the Hornets, also owns property there.
