7-Eleven Announces Limited-Time National Donut Day Deal Ahead of the Celebration

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 12:52pm

National Donut Day is coming up, and 7-Eleven has an offer you just can’t refuse. In celebration of the ‘holiday,’ the convenience store chain is lowering the price of glazed donuts to $0.50. But this is a limited-time offer you can only get for one day.

When is National Donut Day?

National Donut Day is on Friday, June 5, 2026. In honor of the sweet breakfast treat, retailers are offering delicious deals. That means you can make the rounds and pick up reduced-price or free goodies from more than just 7-Eleven. Dunkin’ has a free donut (with purchase of a beverage) giveaway, and hopefully, Krispy Kreme will repeat last year’s deals too.

What Deals Does 7-Eleven Have for National Donut Day?

The retailer is making it less expensive to treat yourself to an ooey, gooey glazed donut. That said, there’s a catch. The Donut Day $0.50 price is only available to 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards members at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes stores. Luckily, you can use the store’s app to sign up online. And bonus, along with a $0.50 donut on June 5, 7Rewards members also get exclusive deals and can earn points to spend on free treats and more.

Brandon Brown, Senior Vice President, Fresh Foods and Beverages at 7-Eleven, Inc., said of the promotion, “Sometimes the best celebrations are the simplest ones, like a fresh donut and a great idea.” Brown continued, “National Donut Day gives customers a fun reason to treat themselves, and these offers make every coffee run, snack stop, or midday break a little sweeter.”

But there’s more. If you just can’t wait until June 5 to quench your craving, 7-Eleven already has another sweet deal. Pick up a Mini Donut pack (yellow cake donuts coated in chocolate, cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar, or toasted coconut crunch) for $1 through June 23, 2026.

This 100-Year-Old Snack Cake Brand Just Launched a New Salty Flavor

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 12:48pm

Drake's is giving one of its most popular snack cakes another new flavor.

On Thursday, the iconic McKee Foods brand revealed it's launching the second Devil Dogs flavor spinoff this year, making its 100th anniversary all the more special.

"Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer, and we wanted to give Drake's fans something fun to look forward to," Erica Cunningham, Drake's associate brand manager, said in a statement.

Following the release of its limited-edition Mochaccino flavorthis past February comes Drake's new Salty Caramel Devil Dogs.

Drake's Devil Dogs Get New Flavor Just in Time for Summer

According to an official description, the new variety starts with two oblong devil's food cakes that are then sandwiched with a layer of salty caramel-flavored creme, pairing classic Devil Dogs cake with creamy flavor and "a little Drake's attitude."

The new flavor is the same "chocolatey, creamy and indulgent" snack cake fans know and love, just with a flavor that feels fresh for summer.

"Salty Caramel Devil Dogs give longtime fans something new to get excited about while also opening the door for people who may not have tried Drake's before," Cunningham added. "For anyone who loves a creamy, chocolatey caramel treat with a little sweet-and-salty mix, they're just the right snack to bring home this summer."

So far, shoppers appear excited and hopeful that the newly introduced variety is "yummy."

"I hope these are sold online at their website," one wrote on Instagram. "Only place I can buy them."

"I likely won't find these near me just like I never found the Mochaccino Devil Dogs (I refuse to pay absurd prices on eBay)," a second shared.

"They look yummy," a third wrote with a bunch of heart-eye emojis.

One more joked in disbelief, "This isn't AI?!"

Where Are Drake's New Salty Caramel Devil Dogs Available?

The company said its new Salty Caramel Devil Dogs will be available at supermarkets and convenience stores across the Eastern United States beginning this week. They appear to be hanging around only for the season, but shoppers should expect to find them wherever other Drake's products are sold, in boxes of eight individually wrapped treats (prices may vary).

‘70s Music Icon Brings His Stage Musical to London

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 12:43pm

Sting is set to star in a newly adapted production of his musical “The Last Ship” at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London from Sept. 22 to Oct. 3.

In the play, Sting plays Jackie White, a Northeast English shipyard foreman whose health is deteriorating at the moment his community needs him most. The company features more than 50 people, although no further cast details have been revealed yet.

“I grew up in the shadow of the shipyard,” Sting explained, per Variety. “I’d watch thousands of men walk to work each morning, but I dreamed of something else… I dreamed of escaping, and I did everything in my power to get away from that life. But the farther I got, the more I realized I needed to understand where I came from and felt I had to give something back. ‘The Last Ship’ is my tribute to the people and the place that shaped me.”

This upcoming London production follows recent runs in Amsterdam, Brisbane and Paris, with further performances scheduled at the Metropolitan Opera in New York this summer before a return engagement in Amsterdam later this year.

According to Broadway World, Sting developed the musical in 2011, drawing inspiration from “The Soul Cages.” The show earned Tony nominations for Best Original Score and Best Orchestrations following its Broadway premiere in 2014. This new revival has been reworked to include new scenes and songs.

Alongside the West End run, Sting has released “The Last Ship (Expanded Edition),” an extended version of the album featuring five new recordings, produced by Sting and orchestrator Rob Mathes.

The creative team also includes set and props designer Jenny Melville, costumer Loren Elstein, sound designer Tom Gibbons, lighting designer Adam Bassett, animation director Matt Taylor, choreographer Rebecca Howell, video designer Benjamin Pearcy, musical supervisor and musical director and co-orchestrator Richard John.

Major Retailers Are Warning That Your Weekly Grocery Bill Is About to Rise Again

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 12:43pm

Americans who have already been struggling with soaring grocery prices may see another hike soon. Major retailers like Walmart warn that persistent global supply chain friction and international shipping disruptions are driving up fuel and supply prices.

📬 Get news worth sharing with Parade's daily newsletter 📬

Spending Is Up

A recent report by The Business Times warns that prices are likely to jump again. American spending has already increased, but that doesn’t mean it’s a sign of a recovering economy. A recent report from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) warns that consumer relief isn't quite here yet. According to the agency's data, inflation-adjusted spending is up just 0.1%

Spending is up because current prices are forcing us to spend more, not because we’re buying more. Meanwhile, the personal savings rate fell to 2.6%, the lowest since 2022. It implies that we’re dipping into our savings just to buy the things we need to survive.

Retailers Are Passing On The Expense

Grocery stores operate on thin margins, often requiring them to sell a high volume of products to turn a profit. Retail giants like Walmart and Kroger, however, are still reporting year-over-year (YoY) increases.

In Walmart’s 2025 Annual Report, the company reported that gross profit increased from 23.7% in 2024 to 24.1% in 2025. Similarly, Kroger increased gross profit from 22.3% to 22.9% over the same period. Since both companies generate hundreds of billions in revenue, small percentage increases in gross margins translate into massive shifts in cash flow. However, because corporations have also had to absorb rising operating costs, higher utility bills, and higher employee wages, these gross margin bumps don't necessarily translate into a pure net profit windfall at checkout.

While the point of retail is to increase profits YoY, continuing to squeeze the American public in a time of crisis feels a bit tone deaf. It would be more beneficial for large corporations to use their wealth and influence to end the war rather than continue trying to capture dwindling American dollars.

Finding Relief

According to a LendingTree survey published earlier this year, 88% of Americans have shifted their grocery routines to combat inflation. Specifically, 44% of shoppers are choosing generic store brands over name brands, while 38% report strictly sticking to a pre-made shopping list to avoid impulse purchases.

If you’re looking to save, you can return to old habits like couponing or using reward and rebate programs. There are also Facebook groups where people will swap unused and unopened groceries, and food pantry use has increased in the U.S.

If you’re feeling desperate with the price of everything going up while wages can’t keep up, you aren’t alone. Reach out to your representatives and demand they do everything they can to help stabilize the economy and bring relief to us all.

Major CBS Shakeup as ‘60 Minutes’ Correspondent Is Fired (Report)

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 12:41pm

Sharyn Alfonsi is out at CBS.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alfonsi has been fired by the network after her contract lapsed over Memorial Day weekend. Before news of her reported firing surfaced, she released the following statement.

“Over the weekend, my contract with CBS News expired, bringing to a close nearly 20 years with the network, including more than a decade at 60 Minutes,” Alfonsi said. "Following an intense editorial dispute over our CECOT story, repeated attempts by my representation to establish a path forward were met with absolute silence from network executives. The message could not be clearer: my time at 60 Minutes is apparently over."

“In the coming days, network leadership may attempt to hide behind corporate euphemisms like ‘modernization’ and ‘restructuring’ to explain away my departure,” she continued. “Don’t be misled. This was not a routine corporate transition; it was a deliberate choice to penalize a journalist for refusing to sanitize factually accurate reporting, and it sends a chilling message to the entire newsroom.”

Alfonsi went on to claim that CBS management is “abandoning” the mission of fearless, independent reporting by “choosing access journalism over accountability.” She also alleged that the divide between editorial independence and corporate interests at CBS is “being methodically torn down.”

“If this continues, the result will be a broadcast that looks like 60 Minutes but lacks the courage and character to produce journalism that matters,” she added.

Alfonsi first joined the CBS family nearly two decades ago, and spent the last half of those years working on 60 Minutes. Alfonsi reportedly clashed with CBS News leadership after producers pulled a segment highlighting harsh conditions faced by Venezuelan men deported by the Trump administration, according to The New York Times.

She later described the move as “political,” reportedly placing her at odds with CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss. Tensions appeared to escalate further after Alfonsi spoke at the National Press Club in April.

During the speech, Alfonsi said, “Some executives are asking not, ‘Is the story true?’ But, ‘Is it good for business?'"—remarks that appeared to reference growing tensions within CBS News leadership.

Alfonsi was reportedly not the only high-profile departure from 60 Minutes. Executive producer Tanya Simon and correspondent Cecilia Vega were also let go, according to THR.

1955 Recording that Became a Signature Song for ‘The Man in Black’ was Once Subjected To a Major Lawsuit

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 12:35pm

While serving in the United States Air Force in Germany, singer-songwriter Johnny Cash saw the movie, Inside the Walls of Folsom Prison. Cash was inspired by the film and wondering what could lead a person to murdering someone saying, "I sat with my pen in my hand, trying to think up the worst reason a person could have for killing another person, and that's what came to mind." This would become his iconic, signature song, "Folsom Prison Blues."

"Folsom Prison Blues" was a part of Cash's early recording sessions in 1955 at the Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee. Because of Cash's limited resources and band at the time, the blues-inspired tune was recorded with no drummer. Instead, Cash replicated the sound by sticking a piece of paper or a dollar bill under his guitar strings and strumming the snare rhythm via the strings.

After the song's release in December of 1955, it became subject to a plagiarism dispute. Gordon Jenkins, an American pianist and composer, accused Cash of stealing the melody for "Folsom Prison Blues" from the "Crescent City Blues" off of his 1953 concept album, Seven Dreams. As the song continued to gain popularity through the 60s and 70s, Jenkins filed a copyright infringement case against Cash. The two eventually settled out of court, with Cash paying Jenkins $75,000. Despite settling and the payout, Cash retained all composing and publishing rights to the song.

Cash began opening almost all of his live performances with "Folsom Prison Blues" after his iconic, trademark greeting, "Hello, I'm Johnny Cash." In 1968, Cash performed at Folsom State Prison which was recorded and then released as the live album, At Folsom Prison. The live version of "Folsom Prison Blues" was released as a single and reached number one on the country singles chart, and number 32 on the Hot 100.

In 1969, the live version of the song won Cash the Grammy for Best Male Country Vocal Performance, one of Cash's 13 Grammy wins overall in his career. In 2001, the 1955 original recorded version of "Folsom Prison Blues" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

This Best-Selling 26-Year-Old Weight Loss Book Was Called ‘Dangerous’ by Critics

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 12:18pm

In 2000, Dr. Pierre Dukan released his diet program in the book called The Dukan Diet, and while it quickly gained popularity, it also raised concerns.

Well-known celebrities followed The Dukan Diet, including Carol Middleton, the mother of Catherine, Princess of Wales, and Jennifer Lopez. That didn’t stop scientists and individuals being concerned over the plan, and it remains a diet that is not recommended to patients undergoing health treatments, such as those for cancer.

The idea of the Dukan Diet was to eat a high-protein diet with an extremely low carb count. The focus on low carbs became the main thing throughout this time of year, with the Atkins Diet and many others following similar trends. However, the Dukan Diet focused on the “attack phase,” which was when only protein and oat bran could be eaten.

This was what led to the claims that it was a “dangerous” diet, with Dr. Dukan taking Dr. Jean-Michel Cohen to court for libel. In the end, the French court ruled in favor of Dr. Cohen, who was concerned that the protein-rich diet could lead to increased risks of cancer and heart disease.

British Nutrition Foundation member Dr. Elisabeth Weichselbaum shared that cutting out food groups was dangerous. While she admitted that a week may not cause too many issues, “but for a longer period of time you will miss out on important nutrients.”

There were also concerns for many about the risk of yo-yo dieting, as the Dukan Diet proved to be restrictive. People would then skip the diet and eat what they enjoyed, gain weight again, and then go back on the restrictive diet.

Despite the concerns, The Dukan Diet remains on the shelves, and there have been new cookbooks and non-fiction releases to help understand the diet and remain on it. That being said, Dr. Dukan was expelled from the College of Physicians in France in 2014.

A Rare Blue Micromoon Peaks This Weekend—And You Won't See This Combo Again for 40 Years

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 12:15pm

If you’re a serious stargazer, it’s time to set those alarms: Sunday morning brings a doubly-rare lunar event you won't see again for decades. Something called a blue micromoon peaks at 4:45 a.m. ET on May 31, though it will look full to the naked eye from Friday night through the following evening. For skywatchers in certain regions, there's an extra treat, transforming the double-rarity into a real triple threat: a brilliant red star named Antares will temporarily vanish as the moon passes directly in front of it.

Why Is This Weekend's Moon Doubly Rare?

This weekend's moon is rare because two unusual things are happening at the same time. First, it's a blue moon. That just means we're getting two full moons in May instead of the usual one. May 1 had the first full moon. May 31 brings the second. A blue moon like this only happens every two to three years.

Second, it's a micromoon. Think of it as the opposite of a supermoon. The moon's orbit around Earth isn't a perfect circle—it's slightly oval-shaped. That means the moon gets closer and farther from us throughout the month. A supermoon happens when the full moon is at its closest point. A micromoon happens when it's at its farthest point. This Sunday, the moon will be 252,360 miles away—further than usual. Because of that extra distance, it will look about 6 percent smaller and 10 percent dimmer than a regular full moon. You probably won't notice the difference, but it's there.

The last time this exact combination happened was August 31, 2023. The next one won't occur until December 31, 2066. So if you miss it this weekend, you've got a 40-year wait.

Related: The Longest Solar Eclipse in the Last 100 Years Is Coming and Won’t Return for Another 157 Years

For viewers in the Southern Hemisphere, the moon puts on an extra trick. In Argentina, Chile, New Zealand, eastern Australia, parts of Antarctica, and a few scattered islands, the moon will pass directly in front of a bright red star called Antares. The star will disappear from view for a few minutes as the moon blocks it—then reappear on the other side. It's called an occultation, and it's a spectacular sight if you're in the right place.

If you're anywhere else in the world, you'll still see Antares shining right next to the moon all night long. It won’t disappear, but it should still be beautiful.

Despite the name, this blue moon won't appear blue. The term refers only to timing—the occurrence of two full moons in one month. Near the horizon at moonrise and moonset, the moon may glow golden or orange thanks to Earth's atmosphere. Higher in the sky, it returns to its typical bright white.

Related: Apparently, One of America's Busiest Cities Just Became an Official UFO Hotspot

How to See the Blue Micromoon

You won’t need any special equipment to spot this celestial phenomenon. The moon is normally visible to the naked eye from anywhere with clear skies. As always, find a spot away from city lights for the best view. The moon will rise southeast around sunset and sets southwest before sunrise, reaching its highest point in the southern sky around midnight.

Peak illumination hits 4:45 a.m. ET on May 31. The moon will appear full from the evening of May 30 through the evening of May 31. If you're photographing it, bring a tripod to keep your camera or phone steady. Minimal cloud cover is expected this weekend, so viewing conditions should be excellent across most of the country.

Why Everyone Is Talking About Grillo’s Pickles Limited-Time Hot Pickle Butter Launch

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 12:14pm

Something spicy is coming to a pickle near you, and fans are going to have plenty to say about this mouthwatering mash-up. Grillo’s Pickles just announced a brand-new collab, and fans can nab Hot Pickle Butter right now. But, there’s a catch.

What Is Grillo’s Pickles Hot Pickle Butter?

You know and love the briny pickle goodness of Grillo’s. And while you might already buy the tangy treats by the tub, you can now get them in a much more spreadable form. As the name implies, Hot Pickle Butter is…hot pickle butter. In other words, it’s butter with spicy pickles inside. More specifically, Grillo’s Pickles Hot Chips.

If you’re wondering what exactly makes these chips so hot, they start with Grillo’s popular pickles. But obviously, that’s not all. Fresh habanero and jalapeno peppers add an unexpected kick that mouth surfers will absolutely appreciate.

Where Can You Get Grillo’s Limited-Edition Pickle Product?

Sadly, you can’t score the Hot Pickle Butter at Costco, Aldi, or your other favorite retail store. Instead, you need to visit PopUp Bagels to sample the creative culinary collab.

Chief Commercial Officer at Grillo’s Pickles, Mark Luker, said in a press release, “We’re pumped to reunite with a brand that, like us, has a loyal following and hear what both our passionate fans have to say about our latest creation.”

View this post on Instagram

Founder of PopUp Bagels, Adam Goldberg, added, “At this point, Grillo’s is one of those brands we’ll just keep coming back to.” Goldberg continued, “A great bagel with a great pickle just works. Both brands take familiar things people already love and push them somewhere louder, bolder, and a little unexpected. Hot Pickle Butter felt like the obvious next move.”

This isn’t the first time Grillo’s Pickles has collaborated with PopUp Bagels. The dynamic duo previously teamed up to create Pickle de Gallo Schmear, a now-viral cream cheese spread with (you guessed it) pickles.

When Can Fans Get Grillo’s Pickles Hot Pickle Butter at PopUp Bagels?

Don’t wait to get this spicy selection. Hot Pickle Butter won’t last long. The limited-time spread is only available at PopUp Bagels from May 28 through June 10, 2026, while supplies last.

Man's Honest Mistake Results In Social Security Slashing More Than Half His Monthly Payment

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 12:13pm

A Tennessee man is breathing a bit easier after he says an honest mistake cut his income in half. That's because he was penalized by the Social Security Administration (SSA) over "overpayment" issues when he took on some extra work to help keep his family afloat after his wife lost her job.

That resulted in the SSA cutting his benefits in half, shocking the family and costing them more than $1,000 a month.

A Man Was Faced With a $46,000 Overpayment Bill

The man spoke with local news station News Channel 5 about his struggles, sharing how he had taken on extra hours at work after his wife lost her job. Jerry Dye, who receives disability benefits due to diabetic neuropathy, says he took on extra hours at his cashier job to help the family get back on track, not thinking of how it could impact his Social Security benefits.

However, at the start of the year, he says he received a $46,000 overpayment bill due to his increased income, which reduced his benefits from $2,093 a month to just $945. "I did what I thought I had to do to survive," Dye explained of his decision to take on extra hours, noting that his family ended up falling behind on their rent and even faced an eviction notice.

The Administration Eventually Reached Out to Dye to Change the Withholdings

Just one day after his story hit the airwaves, Dye says that he was contacted by the SSA about the withholdings, which were then dropped to just $100 a month. "I think at this point we have done what we have set out to do with getting the word out, and I think it played such a huge part in where I'm at right now," Dye said of the sudden change to his situation.

Dye's Situation Isn't Unique

While overpayments are a notoriously common systemic issue across the country, it can hit especially hard in cases like Dye's, where his financial situation changed abruptly.

When that's the case, the SSA says it's the recipient's job to update them so that they can be aware of the changes. However, in instances like this, where Dye may not have known he was changing the amount he was eligible to collect, the SSA will work to recover the money through various methods, including sending a bill with a 30-day payment notice.

If you've received a large overpayment like Dye's, and you can't get the money to the SSA in time, the administration will automatically withhold a portion of the payment. "If you don’t pay us back within 30 days of the date on your notice, we’ll automatically withhold 50 percent of your benefit or 10 percent of your SSI payment each month until the overpayment is repaid," the website says.

Of course, this can create a hardship for families, so it's important to stay in communication with the SSA if you find yourself in a similar situation, so you can work toward a resolution that works for both you and the administration.

At 70, Billy Idol Performs at his Award-Winning AMAs for the First Time Ever

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 12:12pm

For 50 years, Billy Idol has been one of rock's most recognizable faces, the sneer, the spiked hair, the songs that feel ingrained into anyone who was alive in the 1980s. On Memorial Day night, the American Music Awards finally caught up with him.

Idol received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 52nd American Music Awards on May 25 in Las Vegas, becoming only the third artist in the show's history to receive the honor, following Diana Ross and Rod Stewart. Then, in what host Queen Latifah noted was his first-ever performance on the AMA stage, he closed the night with a medley of hits alongside his longtime collaborator and guitarist Steve Stevens, pulling out 'Eyes Without a Face' and 'Dancing with Myself' for a crowd that clearly hadn't forgotten a word.

The acceptance speech was the kind just as riveting. Idol, 70, credited his five decades of survival to something simpler than strategy. 'When I started out in punk rock back in 1976, we thought it may only last about six months, let alone 50 years,' he said. 'But we were doing it for the love, and because music was the only thing that gave us a sort of feeling of freedom.' He then turned to the next generation, adding, 'so to any kid out there who loves rock and roll or any music of any kind, if you're inspired to create that sense of freedom and pursue a life of art, all I can say is pick an instrument. Find out who you are and be it.'

The moment comes during an extraordinary stretch for the British-born icon. His 2025 album Dream Into It was his first studio release in over a decade, arriving alongside a documentary, Billy Idol Should Be Dead, which earned a spot on the 2026 Academy Awards shortlist for Best Original Song. And later this year, he will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026, alongside Oasis, Iron Maiden, Sade, and Luther Vandross.

The AMAs performance was built on songs that have outlasted entire decades of pop culture turnover. 'Dancing with Myself' began as a generational track in 1981 before Idol recut it as a solo single, and it has since appeared in films, commercials, and karaoke bars across the world. 'Eyes Without a Face,' from his 1983 double-platinum album Rebel Yell, remains one of rock's most unexpectedly tender ballads, is a song that proves the sneering punk image always had more range underneath it than critics initially credited.

At 70, performing for the first time on a stage that has hosted five decades of pop history, Idol seemed determined to prove the point he made in his speech. He still had the goods.

Demi Moore Details 'Aggressive' Behavior by Rumer Willis's Ex Derek Richard Thomas

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 12:09pm

Rumer Willishas publicly posted on Instagram about her lifestyle as a single mother and co-parenting with her ex, musician Derek Richard Thomas. In new court documents, Demi Moorerevealed "aggressive" and "brutal" behavior by Thomas during the relationship.

In an episode of stylist Maeve Reilly’s The Inside Edit podcast, Willis revealed that attending Reilly’s April 2024 wedding to Zach Quittman was a "huge reckoning" and wake-up call about her relationship. After hearing the vows, she realized that "the situation I was in was never going to look like that, no matter how much effort I put in."

Willis made the decision to leave her relationship with Thomas. The two began dating in 2022 and welcomed their daughter the following year. She confirmed the split in 2024 and became a single mother. According to US Weekly, Thomas initiated legal proceedings in July 2025 to establish a parental relationship.

Over the past year, the two have gone through legal proceedings on the well-being of their child and custody/visitation arrangements. Rumer claimed in her documents that Thomas has exhibited "unstable and abusive behavior when in relationships" and was "emotionally abusive" in front of their daughter.

Alongside multiple declarations submitted by Willis against her ex, Moore has also submitted her own about her interactions with Thomas. She details the birth of Willis and Thomas's daughter as an indicator where he allegedly "appears to want to dictate and control Rumer’s environment to his needs.”

“I was present for the birth along with Rumer’s siblings. While Rumer was giving birth to Louetta in the birthing tub, Derek, without asking, and without having showered, got into the birthing tub in an aggressive and sudden manner,” she said.

“Everyone was shocked. Rumer asked him to get out immediately, and he did. He then spent the rest of the birth acting angry and pouting, and making it all about him.”

The actor further details how Thomas became angered when she and her daughter returned to the home the next day to clean up. She heard him reportedly "berate and angrily complain" to Willis about them being in the home. Moore also reveals that when being able to hold her new granddaughter for the first time, Thomas "demanded" she give him the baby for skin-to-skin contact.

“He showed absolutely no respect, care, concern, compassion or support toward anyone, especially Rumer and the baby,” she said in her letter.

Her letter also spoke of incidents of the baby being left with a dirty diaper, improperly cleaned, and driving a wedge between Willis and her family. Moore claims he "refused to make any effort" or showed no desire to support Willis.

According to Page Six, Thomas’ attorney, Mike Kretzmer, said his client will "try this case in court and not in press." They deny Willis's claims of domestic abuse and other statements made as "inaccurate" and "false."

Jelly Roll Leaves the Internet in Tears With Emotional Family News

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 12:03pm

Jelly Roll left fans in tears after sharing an emotional message on Instagram.

On May 28, the country singer posted a lengthy tribute to his daughter, Bailee Ann, as she celebrated both her 18th birthday and her high school graduation. In the post, Jelly Roll reflected on fatherhood, family struggles and what it means to break "generational curses."

Unsure how to begin the post, Jelly Roll, 41, decided to tell a story about Bailee.

"When you were about four years old, I was renting a house right behind my father’s house. And when I say right behind my father’s house, I mean you could literally walk from my back door to his back door," he recalled.

"One day when we were walking there, you stopped all of a sudden and said 'dad how are we gonna get across that river?' I was a little confused at first, and I looked back at you and in that moment, I could see the wide eyes of a little girl who is living in her beautiful imagination…. I immediately said 'the river is gonna be a problem, cause it probably has alligators in it, but I’m more worried about those tigers on the other side,'" he continued.

Playing along with his daughter’s imagination, Jelly Roll recalled the pair joking about alligators, tigers, and bears while making the short walk to his father’s house stretch into a two-hour adventure.

"We wrestled the imaginary alligators, we ran from hyenas, we fist fought bears, we swam in the river, anacondas,” Jelly Roll wrote. “Little did I know in that moment, your imagination was opening mine and that you were fixing to be the biggest impact on my life and the biggest part of my journey ever.”

After recalling the childhood memory, Jelly Roll praised his daughter for becoming the first person in the family to achieve milestones he never reached himself. He celebrated her upcoming transition into college and described her as the embodiment of breaking generational curses.

“Some people were born to walk. Some people were born to run, but very few were born to fly. Now Bailee Ann was born to FLY," he continued, adding, "I can’t wait to see the woman you end up becoming."

Fans quickly flooded the comments section with emotional reactions, with many admitting the singer’s heartfelt message brought them to tears.

‘The Testaments’ Will Eventually Bring the One Thing ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ Fans Have Needed for the Last 9 Years!

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 11:51am

For six seasons (and nine years), all The Handmaid’s Tale fans have wanted is to see June and Hannah reunited. It will eventually happen on The Testaments.

During The Testaments Season 1 finale, Agnes learned that she is the daughter of The Handmaid, June Osborne. Aunt Lydia confirms it all, sharing only good things about the woman who caused her so much trouble and strife over the course of the six seasons of The Handmaid’s Tale.

The end of that series saw June and Luke go their separate ways, deciding they both had their own roles to play as they search for their daughter, Hannah, who goes by the name of Agnes in Gilead. Now, June knows exactly where Hannah is, and Hannah knows who her mother is and can see that Gilead may not be the paradise she has grown up believing it to be.

The Testaments Season 2 will focus on Agnes and her friends, as they learn more truths about Gilead. They will figure out that maybe Mayday isn’t the enemy, and they may become empowered to pick up where June left.

THE TESTAMENTS - “Secateurs” - Disney/Steve Wilkie

The Testaments showrunner, Bruce Miller, told The Hollywood Reporter that by the end of the series, he wants to reunite June and Hannah. It’s the one thing we’ve waited nine years for.

“But I know that if things go well and we have story to tell, I certainly can move that [reunion] forward. You never want to tread water, but in Gilead, there’s so much going on and it’s so complicated — and these actors are so good — that it really does not feel like the difference between three and four seasons would be that difficult for us to put our heads around.”

It’s not clear when this could happen, as it doesn’t mean that it will be the end of the show. There is a wider community for Hannah to reunite with, including her father Luke and her aunt, Moira. There will also be many others, such as Rita and Emily, who will want to meet Hannah after everything they risked to help June.

THE TESTAMENTS - “Secateurs” - Disney/Russ Martin

The reunion isn’t really the only thing fans want to see, and Miller understands that. There’s the story of what happens afterward, as Agnes has grown up knowing little about her birth mother. She has always viewed the MacKenzies has her family in Gilead because of how young she was when she was taken.

The Testaments novel by Margaret Atwood does end with Hannah learning that Daisy is her sister and that they are both the daughters of June, although she wasn’t given a name in the first Handmaid’s Tale book. That was where the novel ended, and there have always been questions about what would come next. The TV show gives us a chance to see that.

Oscar-Nominated Star Admits Attack Devastated Her Sense of Humanity

Thu, 05/28/2026 - 11:47am

Cynthia Erivo has admitted that the attack in Singapore when promoting Wicked: For Good left a long-lasting impact on her.

The Tony Award-winning British actress and singer said in an interview with Variety that the experience during the press tour forced her to hold back from campaigning during that award season.

She admitted to the outlet that defending her co-star, Ariana Grande, against a man who vaulted over a barrier during a red-carpet appearance at Universal Studios Singapore in November 2025 made her want to scale back her promotion of the musical sequel.

The Harriet actress sprang into action when an internet personality known as Pyjama Man charged towards the pop star. “Nobody moved. Nobody moved,” Erivo said in the interview about the moment the man ran at Ariana.

“So I moved because my brain went, ‘Get him away! Get him out of here!' My immediate reaction was ‘Get him away from us.' And what people couldn't see is that he wouldn't let go [of Grande]. He wouldn't let go. So I just kept pushing at him to get him off.”

It wasn't just the incident which upset the 39-year-old Cynthia, it was the aftermath and the way people were calling her a bodyguard. Erivo recalls being presented with "insidious" memes and TikTok videos aimed at her physique and "the fact that I was bald; it was about what I looked like," she said, along with the "assumption that I was bigger than my co-star and so I had to be controlling or protecting, and that was my role."

“I just felt like my humanity had been bastardized,” added the former Tony Awards host. “I felt like something I did instinctively had been made to be something that it simply was not because of the way people see women who look like me, and because of the assumptions that are made, and I just didn't want to be a part of that, really and truly.”

The public's response to the incident made her shy away from the FYC season, which sees stars travel the world promoting their film and talents in the hopes of earning an Academy Award nomination. “I didn't want to put myself through it,” she said.

“I didn't feel like I deserved it. It didn't help,” Erivo continued, adding that “it felt like there was already a sort of upturned nose at the second installment, even though we all knew there was a second film coming and we were just doing our jobs.” The sequel to Wicked was met with lukewarm reviews and ultimately earned 0 Oscar nominations in contrast to the first, which had 10 nominations, including for Erivo and Grande.
