Her heart will go on — this time to the small screen, for fans to learn more about Céline Dion's impactful childhood.

That's right — a TV drama chronicling the early life of the Canadian singer, is now in the works, Deadline reports.

Growing Up Dion (working title) marks the first time the icon's family has formally supported a dramatized adaptation of her childhood. Céline's brother Jacques Dion producing, and the show based is on Dion, A Family Saga, written by her nephew Jimmy Dion, Deadline also noted on Thursday, May 28.

“This series represents something deeply meaningful for our family, as it captures the spirit, struggles, and love that defined our upbringing," Jacques, 71, said, per Deadline. "We are proud to finally share this story with the world in a way that feels true to who we are.”

Zoë Green (Netflix's Sirens) is showrunner on the series, which reportedly traces Céline's childhood in Quebec and formative years growing up in a modest, music-filled household, where her bonds with her mother and 14 siblings helped shape her path to stardom. Deadline says the project is being taken out now to international buyers.

The "Queen of Power Ballads" was previously played by Valérie Lemercier in the 2021 musical Aline and by Christine Ghawi in Céline (2008). Then there's the Broadway jukebox musical Titanique — a Titanic parody which retells the movie’s events from Dion’s perspective — where a number of actresses have portrayed the superstar.

Few iconic celebrity friendships match Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King. The TV hosts met early in their careers before they became household names. King, 71, revealed how their work relationship grew to something more decades ago.

King and Winfrey met while working together in Baltimore. King was a production assistant and Winfrey was a new anchor. Their friendship bloomed when Winfrey invited King to stay with her during a snow storm.

"We didn't really know each other well, but we were both 21, 22, young Black single women," King said on May 27's episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast. Winfrey gave her clothes to wear.

"I have underwear, it's clean," King said the anchor told her. However, King drew the line at sharing a toothbrush and picked one up for herself.

The pair stayed up all night, bonding over their points of view and gossiping about who was possibly hooking up. "One day on TV she goes, 'I don't believe in gossip.' I called her up and said, 'Since when? Yesterday?!'"

That bond has stayed strong throughout the years, professionally and personally. King said that 2026 will mark 50 years of their friendship, and Winfrey wants to throw a party to celebrate. The guests will have to bring their "Oprah" or "Gayle" with them to attend the event.

King said in the interview that the biggest difference between them is that she's more of an extrovert. The CBS News journalist continues to be in the spotlight with her position. Winfrey continues interviewing through her podcast, but King says she prefers to stay at home after work instead of attending events.

Chick-fil-A is bringing back several fan-favorites this summer—and we're not just talking about menu items.

On Thursday, the popular fried chicken chain revealed that this season it's reviving several "timeless favorites" across multiple menu categories and even bringing back its Cow Appreciation Day, a long-standing tradition that gives deserving fans freebies.

"This summer is a celebration of the fun, flavors and experiences our Guests love the most and ask us to bring back, year after year," Khalilah Cooper, vice president of brand strategy, advertising and media for Chick-fil-A, Inc., shared in a statement on Thursday, adding, "That’s what our year of ‘Newstalgia’ is all about – delivering timeless favorites with fresh new twists, allowing a new generation of Guests to experience our 80-year heritage in a way that feels new, yet nostalgic, and unmistakably Chick-fil-A."

According to the official press release, Chick-fil-A's famous Peach Milkshake and Peach Frosted Lemonade are set to return in just a few weeks, along with its Pineapple Dragonfruit beverages and Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich. To turn up the fun, guests will even notice that this year, its Pineapple Dragonfruit is coming with a new Sprite!

• Peach Milkshake: The beloved peach-flavored milkshake is back, returning for its 17th year!
• Peach Frosted Lemonade: Chick-fil-A's popular peach flavors blended up with the chain's soft-serve.

For those new to the tradition, guests who visit participating restaurants dressed in their best cow-inspired attire will receive a free entrée from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time, while supplies last. Kids who show off their spots and best "mini-moo makeovers" will receive a new ‘Cow Kart’ toy to celebrate the day—but the offer is only valid for one day only, so mark your calendars!

Cow Appreciation Day will return to participating stores nationwide on Tuesday, July 14.

ragonForce, the band behind the hit track "Through the Fire and Flames," delivered an exciting announcement as they officially announced an upcoming North American tour.

The British power metal band, composed of Marc Hudson as the lead vocalist, Herman Li and Sam Totman on lead and rhythm guitars, Luigi "Gee" Anzalone on drums and Alicia Vigil on bass, is gearing up for a string of shows in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their third studio album, Inhuman Rampage.

The tour, scheduled for this Fall, will kick off on Nov. 13 in San Diego, California, before wrapping up in Los Angeles on Dec. 13 after 22 shows across major cities in the U.S. and selected cities in Canada.

The highly anticipated tour promises a mix of “fan favorites and brand new songs.”

Interestingly, the announcement didn't just end there as DragonForce unveiled a bold change to their lineup.

The upcoming Fall 2026 North American tour will feature new frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz.

The former Arch Enemy member will join DragonForce’s longtime vocalist Marc Hudson, who has been with the band since 2011 after replacing the band’s original frontman ZP Theart.

“As a long-time fan of DragonForce, having seen them in concert multiple times over the last 20 years, I am beyond excited to be bringing such iconic music to life with these amazingly skilled musicians in such a fun and inspiring environment,” White-Gluz shared as mentioned in the post, adding “It feels great to showcase all the colours of my voice in technically challenging, deeply energizing, highly addictive songs. Creating and performing with musicians who deeply care about the music and concerts as much as I do is so refreshing.”

Before the new frontwoman, the band also updated its lineup with Vigil joining as a full-time member in 2022 after serving as DragonForce’s touring bassist.

According to The Motley Fool, the SSA will be switching from Comerica Bank to Fifth Third Bank, replacing older Comerica-issued cards with new Fifth Third Bank debit cards for recipients who receive their benefits on a prepaid Direct Express Debit Mastercard.

Again, this only impacts Social Security recipients who currently receive their benefits on the Direct Express Debit Mastercard, as no changes were announced to any of the other delivery methods.

The news is important to stay on top of, though, because those who receive their benefits this way tend to be more vulnerable, according to the publication. That's because these people are less likely to have traditional bank accounts, so this card serves as a lifeline for their finances.

The swap is set to begin at the end of May, according to Newsweek, and the new cards should start hitting mailboxes this summer, with the potential for the rollout to continue into the new year. "Beneficiaries will receive advance notice of the transition of their accounts and should continue to use their Comerica-issued cards following the transition until the card expires," a statement on the SSA website read. "It is important for beneficiaries to keep their contact information up to date to ensure they receive all communications."

Fortunately, it sounds like this change will be automatic, and recipients won't need to take any additional action to receive their cards. However, those with any questions about this update are being advised to visit the Direct Express "Contact Us" page by the administration.

While Newsweek says there has been no indication that benefits will be interrupted during the switch, the publication did advise Social Security recipients to stay informed of any potential updates from the SSA, as the administration will likely alert recipients if there are disruptions.

As always, those with questions about their benefits should contact the SSA directly. However, remember to be patient when calling, as people have reported longer wait times since the Trump administration reduced its front-line staffing levels. Additionally, not all offices are open to in-person visits, so it's important to check the Closures or Delays Affecting In-Person Service section of the SSA's website to verify whether your local office is open to visitors or if you'll need to make a virtual appointment.

Masters of Voices, the eight-person supergroup formed from members of several legendary rock and metal acts, is heading out on the road this summer for a highly anticipated South American tour. The exciting news was shared on Wednesday via Instagram, alongside the announcement of a special guest.

The Masters of Voices summer trek will travel to 11 cities across South America, commencing on July 3 in Santiago, Chile and concluding on July 25 in Catanduva, Brazil. Joining the supergroup on the road is the popular '90s rock band Velvet Chains, who will serve as the official support act on select dates.

The legendary collective was formed in early 2026, assembling a powerhouse lineup of four iconic vocalists from '80s and '90s rock and heavy metal groups alongside four all-star instrumentalists. Frontmen, Eric Martin (of Mr. Big), Edu Falaschi (of Angra and Almah), Tim "Ripper" Owens (formerly of Judas Priest and KK's Priest) and Jeff Scott Soto (formerly of Journey and Talisman) make up the band's formidable vocalist quartet. Guitarists Marcelo Barbosa and Leo Mancini, bassist Felipe Andreoli and drummer Edu Cominato have come together to provide the standout instrumental backing.

This iconic movie track has had us dancing for our lives for over 40 years.

Released on April 2, 1983, “Flashdance…What a Feeling,” by the late Irene Cara, peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard chart on May 28, 1983.

Forever associated with the film 'Flashdance,' starring Jennifer Beals, the track was the lead single on Cara's album. The song was released just before the film came out to drum up buzz, and spent 25 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

"The song was just right for both the movie and the moment – a time when Black pop music was reaching new commercial heights thanks to Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, Prince and many more star artists," Billboard.com said of the song in 2022, following the news of Cara's death at age 63. The outlet also noted that the song's success paved the way for other iconic soundtrack hits from movies like 'Dirty Dancing,' 'Top Gun' and 'Footloose.'

“Flashdance…What a Feeling” also won an Oscar for Best Original Song that year. Cara became the second person of color to win the prestigious award for that category.

“I knew when we were recording it that we had something special with the song,” Cara said in an interview for BBC Radio 2’s Electric Dreams: The Giorgio Moroder Story," per Billboard. “Some things you just feel, you know? You can’t really dissect it or analyze it. It’s a spiritual thing that you sense, and I did sense that I had something special with this song.” 

Establishing the film's soundtrack as one of the greats, another song from the movie, "Maniac" by Michael Sembello, also spent time on the Billboard chart.

Cara was no stranger to hit movie soundtracks before she recorded "What a Feeling," though, as she also sang the title track to the 1980 film 'Fame,' which also enjoyed success on the Billboard chart.

She followed up "What a Feeling" with another dance-inspired song entitled "Breakdance" which made its way to to the Billboard charts in 1984.

By 1975, Janis Ian was already a well-known name in the music industry, with one of her biggest hits having been "Society's Child." A decade later, she hit the top of the charts with a soft rock track that would cement itself as a popular anthem and earn her a Grammy win.

"At Seventeen" was part of Ian's seventh studio album, Between the Lines, with her having been inspired to write the ballad after reading a New York Times article. She was only 23 when she read an article about a young woman's disappointment after coming out into society at a debutante ball. At the time, Ian was uncomfortable writing the track as she hadn't experienced a majority of normal teen events like the prom or homecoming.

Ian spent three months developing the track, and it ended up being a resonating ballad about being a social outcast in high school. It took two to three days to officially record, with the singer feeling the pressure of delivering a track she knew would be a hit.

According to Ian, the recording was also stressful as she threw out her then-manager because "she kept saying that I was destroying a potential hit." She also recalls having developed the song's iconic opening line of "I learned the truth at seventeen," which she wrote after changing the age of the young girl in the news article.

“That was one of maybe three songs in my life where I thought, ‘I think I’ve written a radio-friendly song.’ That’s not my forte. People like Diane Warren, they do that without even thinking. It’s a real talent that I don’t happen to have. But I knew from that first line that I was onto something special. It was really scary. I didn’t want to blow it," she said, according to the Blue Grass Situation.

"At Seventeen" would go on to land at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and remained on the charts for an astonishing 20 weeks. The track also landed at No.1 on the Adult Contemporary charts for two weeks and stayed on the charts for fifteen weeks.

Despite knowing the song was a hit, Ian was hesitant to perform it live and feared people ridiculing her. The track would lead her to win a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, with critics tagging it as her signature track. "At Seventeen" also became a pop culture staple, being used in films likeMean Girls, The Simpsons, 30 Rock, and The Blacklist.

The beloved television show 'Friday Night Lights' had fans everywhere captured, following the story of the phenomenon that is high school football in Dillon, Texas.

The drama series is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary, with the cast and crew reuniting at ATX TV Festival on Friday, May 29. And with that, fans will get a new behind-the-scenes look, with DEADLINE reporting that "Gravitas Ventures is producing a documentary series about the impact of the show over the last two decades."

The docuseries will include new interviews as well as stories that have never been shared. Some fans will also be interviewed, diving into the show's incredible impact and lasting legacy.

The outlet adds that a "camera crew will be on site in Austin to follow the cast and crew around town for the various panels they’re participating in, including the marquee reunion on Friday night at the Paramount Theatre."

Stars set to return to the panel include Kyle Chandler (Eric Taylor), Connie Britton (Tami Taylor), Adrianne Palicki (Tyra Collette), Gaius Charles (Brian "Smash" Williams), Brad Leland (Buddy Garrity), Derek Phillips (Billy Riggins), Jesse Plemons (Landry Clarke), Scott Porter (Jason Street), Stacey Oristano (Mindy Collette), Louanne Stephens (Mrs. Saracen), and Aimee Teegarden (Julie Taylor).

However, none of the members of the original show are set to return to the Friday Night Lights reboot series, which was announced in December 2024. The show, which is in development at Peacock and will “take place in the aftermath of a devastating hurricane, when a ragtag high school football team and their damaged interim coach make an unlikely bid for a Texas High School State Championship,” according to Peacock's announcement. “Through their unexpected rise, the football team becomes a beacon of light for their town.” The reboot will be directed by Peter Berg, who served as an executive producer on the hit series.

Experts have been sounding the alarm about the SSA's dwindling funds, but on May 27, 2026, Trump told his cabinet that Vance's anti-fraud task force uncovered enough fraud that they may be able to fund Social Security and balance the federal budget, according to the Washington Examiner.

Trump claimed that the task force had found "billions and billions and billions" worth of fraudulent activity across federal programs, including Social Security. "The numbers that we’re finding out—we have great people in Social Security," he said in the meeting. "We’re going to make our Social Security so strong, so good, that you’d never seen anything like it."

The president went on to say they would "protect" Social Security. Vance spoke later in the meeting, crediting Trump's leadership for the task force's success.

"The fact that we have dedicated presidential leadership is really what’s made this possible, because it does require — we’ve got great people around the table — but sometimes these agencies don’t know how to work together at the lower level, and that’s one of the things we’ve had to turn on and force with the fraud task force," Vance said.

While the idea of stopping fraudsters to help fund the program so people don't have to start taking reduced payments sounds promising, experts warn that it's not that simple. For example, the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, a nonpartisan research and policy institute, says that Social Security payments have a 99 percent accuracy rate, meaning it's rare for incorrect payments to be sent out.

Additionally, the group says that the SSA has an intense system in place to prevent people from continuing to collect payments after their death, and that vital statistics agencies will report deaths through the Electronic Death Registration system within days of someone's passing.

Lastly, the system has a fail-safe that prevents payments to people over the age of 115. Not that it gets used often, since the group notes that people over 100 years old account for roughly 0.1 percent of all Social Security beneficiaries.

While those hoping to see Social Security saved may have been excited to hear Trump's remarks, it's probably best to wait and see how much money is actually saved after the anti-fraud task force completes its investigation before we start celebrating.

More than a decade after scoring a No. 1 hard rock album, Kamelot is officially dropping a brand new record.

The symphonic metal veterans announced via Instagram that their 14th studio album, Dark Asylum, will arrive Aug. 28 through Napalm Records.

According to the band, the album is set within a dark Neo-Victorian world centered around RavenHill Asylum, described as a mysterious institution where "science, faith, and madness uneasily coexist."

Kamelot founder and guitarist Thomas Youngblood described the album as "a descent into darkness" that eventually transforms into "a journey of awakening." Meanwhile, frontman Tommy Karevik said the record explores "the duality of human nature" and the struggle to maintain sanity "within a cold and barren world."

The project also reunites the band with longtime producer Sascha Paeth, while Jacob Hansen handled mixing and mastering duties.

Although Kamelot has never scored a mainstream Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit, the band achieved a major milestone in 2015 when its album Haven reached No. 1 on Billboard's Hard Rock Albums chart. That success helped cement Kamelot's reputation as one of the most influential modern symphonic and power metal bands despite operating largely outside mainstream pop audiences.

Originally formed in the 1990s, Kamelot became especially beloved during the era fronted by Norwegian vocalist Roy Khan, whose theatrical vocals and dramatic stage presence helped define the band’s signature sound. Khan's abrupt departure in 2011 due to burnout and personal struggles shocked longtime fans, many of whom considered him central to the band's identity.

Replacing such an iconic vocalist seemed nearly impossible at the time, but Karevik, previously known for his work with Seventh Wonder, quickly earned praise for his ability to perform the band's older material while helping push Kamelot into a new creative era.

Over the years, the band has remained one of metal's most consistently cinematic acts, blending orchestral arrangements, gothic imagery and progressive songwriting into a sound that stands apart from many heavier contemporaries.

"I hope that we have been able to make a genre where we have our own sound," Youngblood told Metal Exposure. "It's not just symphonic metal, not just power metal, nor progressive. It’s unique in a sense, I hope."

Now, with Dark Asylum officially on the way, Kamelot appears ready to continue that evolution while embracing the darker theatrical themes that helped make the band famous in the first place.

Gayle King recently opened up about a very painful time in her life, which has prompted a response from her ex-husband, William Bumpus.

During her appearance on the May 27 episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast with Alex Cooper, King recalled the moment in 1990 when she got home after a flight to find that Bumpus was having an affair, with the woman actually in the couple's house at the time of the discovery.

And following the shocking confession, Bumpus spoke with TMZ, issuing a public apology to his wife as well as his children.

"My deepest apologies to Gayle, to our daughter Kirby and her husband, Virgil, to our son William and his wife, Elise, and to our three grandchildren, for the pain I caused decades ago," he began. "Those actions were mine. I have long owned them."

Bumpus added that Gayle has "every right to share what was a painful chapter that changed the trajectory of our marriage," saying the he "respects" her decision to speak out.

"What I will say is this: I remain endlessly grateful to Gayle. She gave me two of the greatest gifts of my life — our daughter Kirby and our son William," he continued. "It was Gayle who encouraged and supported me through getting my Yale Law degree. And it was Gayle who chose, with me, to co-parent successfully from the very beginning — a testament to our shared commitment to our children above all else, and now our grandchildren. The love and camaraderie we forged in that work have carried us all these years."

Bumpus said that the duo is in a good place now, expressing that he is "proud to have had a front-row seat to Gayle’s remarkable success, and I remain a genuine admirer and fan."

The two ultimately divorced in 1993 after 11 years of marriage.
