Designer John Galliano and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City announced that a planned exhibited that would have featured his work will not be moving forward.

Galliano shared a statement on Instagram, saying that “after much reflection and discussion with all those involved, I have decided, with great sadness, that it is best for the exhibition not to take place at this time.”

The decision is due to controversy following Galliano’s past antisemitic and racist comments, which ultimately let to him being dismissed from Christian Dior in 2011 as well as receiving a hate crime conviction in France.

“I remain fully accountable for the pain caused by my words in the past, particularly the hurt I caused to the Jewish and Asian communities, and I remain deeply sorry,” Galliano said in his statement. “I understand that meaningful atonement is not achieved through an exhibition, institutional recognition or a single public gesture. It is continuing responsibility, demonstrated through listening, learning and one’s conduct over time.”

“I do not want the debate surrounding me to place The Met in a difficult position or to distract from the remarkable work of the Costume Institute,” he continued. “I also recognize and respect that an exhibition honouring my work would be painful for some. I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to all those who have guided, supported and accompanied me throughout these fifteen years of sobriety and recovery from alcoholism and addiction. Your wisdom, patience and humanity have helped me more than I can ever adequately express. I remain profoundly indebted to you for giving me, as you promised, a life better than I could ever have dreamt of. My gratitude to the Met, Max, Andrew and Anna remains profound and enduring. Their generosity, humanity and belief in the importance of fashion as art, culture and history, as well as their understanding of human fragility and the possibility of growth, will remain with me always.”

Wintour also shared a statement in which she said that Galliano’s decision “to ask the Museum to postpone the exhibition devoted to his work is very courageous and a measure of the man he is.”

“I believe this is the right decision, and both he and the Museum have my full support.” she added. “His soaring imagination, fed by a lifetime of curiosity and research, is matched by his exceptional craft. Cut, fit, the evocative line of a bias-cut dress, color—he’s a master of it all.”

Without Brian Wilson’s legendary studio genius, The Beach Boys’ 1992 album, Summer in Paradise, became the band’s biggest commercial disaster.

The LP failed to chart, proving that the group’s signature magic couldn’t be replicated without the mastermind behind their classic harmonies. Released in 1992, it became the only album in the band’s legendary career to miss the Billboard 200 entirely.

When The Beach Boys set out to record their twenty-seventh studio album, they were riding the wave of late-career nostalgia following their massive 1988 hit “Kokomo.” According to Far Out, when the project hit record store shelves in August 1992, it quickly earned a far less enviable distinction: becoming the biggest commercial and critical flop of the band’s legendary career.

The record set an unwanted precedent for the group. More than just a commercial flop, it underscored what fans and critics knew all along: without Wilson’s visionary arrangements and studio guidance, the signature Beach Boys magic was impossible to replicate.

Where was Wilson during that time? Living in Malibu under the care of his therapist Eugene Landy reported PBS. The outlet wrote Landy was “a therapist whose unconventional methods controlled every aspect of Wilson’s life and behavior.”

Therefore, he was not present for the sessions led by Mike Love, who worked with producer Terry Melcher on the project. The LP had some original material and covers of “Remember (Walking in the Sand)” and “Under the Boardwalk.”

Additionally, there is a cover of “Forever” by actor John Stamos. Stamos featured a version of the song in a 1991 episode of Full House. When Summer in Paradise was released, Stamos promoted the LP in the studio where his TV character, Jesse Katsopolis, hosted a daily radio show alongside his pal, Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier).

Love said in the LP’s liner notes, “The summer of ’91 found Terry and I literally walking in the sand on Martha’s Vineyard, discussing ideas that would ultimately result in creating this album, seeing all the people on the beach taking full advantage of the sun, sand and surf. We couldn’t help but observe that this was truly summer in paradise. We then set out to design an album that would be the quintessential soundtrack of summer.”

On Reddit, fans shared their thoughts about the LP. Many agreed it wasn’t up to par with previous Beach Boys material.

“There’s a few good moments there, but it retains none of the creativity from previous BB songs,” wrote one social media follower. A second penned, “Compared to other car crash disaster albums, it’s not THAT bad but it’s still very very not good.”

A third Beach Boys fan noted, “It has four pretty killer songs. The rest is kinda shaky, but overall I still wouldn’t call it terrible. The production is wei,rd and it’s all around pretty cheesy, but l like a little extra cheese sometimes.”

Summer in Paradise has largely disappeared from print. The LP is also reportedly unavailable on any digital music streaming services.

Not only was Toy Story the first Pixar movie of its time, but it was the first-ever fully computer-animated feature film. Each individual frame took between 45 minutes and 300 hours to complete, making it clear that this was a labor of love. In fact, animators glued wooden boards to their shoes just to figure out how the green army men would walk around! They wanted this to be as realistic as possible.

It also almost looked completely different. Woody was originally going to be a ventriloquist dummy that bullied the other toys, making him a complete villain. Disney shut the whole production down until everything was reworked to make Woody a likable character.

Nobody really expected it to be the commercial success that it was. Billy Crystal declined voicing Buzz Lightyear, which he would later note was a mistake, and Mattel didn’t want to license Barbie until the second movie, fearing that it would ruin the doll’s image. With Crystal turning the voice down, John Lasseter turned to Allen, with Allen explaining in a recent interview that he “showed me a picture of it. The voice that they’d used at the studio was very disk jockey AM radio, and I said, ‘What if we put a little bit of heart to it, so he’s a little more delusional?’ And he liked it.”

As for Hanks, he shared that he became the voice for Woody when “Jeffrey Katzenberg showed me a voice of Turner from Turner and Hooch put in Woody’s body…I said, ‘I’m in.”

The Toy Story franchise has grown considerable since that first movie, but it if wasn’t for Hanks and Allen, it wouldn’t be where it is today, 31 years later.

While thanking Cannes director Thierry Fremaux, Travolta described the moment as “humbling” and shared, “This is beyond the Oscar,” USA Today reported. “When I met with you in November, I had no expectation that my film would be accepted. And when Thierry said it was not only accepted but it was making history because it would be the first film ever accepted that early, I cried like a baby because I just couldn’t believe it. Because in my opinion, you are the most discerning person in the movie industry. I was just happy to be here! I never expected this.”

Aug. 31, 2026 marks 53 years since The Rolling Stones released one of their most beloved ballads. Years later, Keith Richards revealed the unlikely circumstances that inspired the legendary hit.

The rock guitarist has said he wrote “Angie” during one of the darkest chapters of his life — while recovering from heroin addiction in a Swiss clinic.

In his 2010 memoir Life, Richards recalled finally reaching a point in detox where he could pick up a guitar again.

“I wrote ‘Angie’ in an afternoon, sitting in bed,” Richards wrote in the tome, per Far Out magazine. “Because I could finally move my fingers and get them in the right place again.” 

The song, he explained, arrived almost effortlessly after days of physical and emotional turmoil.

“I didn’t feel like I had to… climb the walls or feel manic anymore,” he recalled. “I just went, ‘Angie, Angie.'” 

For years, fans speculated that the song was inspired by someone specific.

Some believed it referred to Angela Bowie, the former wife of David Bowie. Others were convinced it was about Richards’ newborn daughter, Angela, who was born while he was in Switzerland.

Richards has repeatedly dismissed those theories.

“It was not about any particular person,” he wrote. “It was a name, like ‘Ohhh, Diana.'”

Although Richards composed much of the music, Mick Jagger developed the lyrics, helping transform the intimate acoustic melody into one of the band’s most enduring songs. 

Released as the lead single from Goats Head Soup, “Angie” became an immediate success, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and giving The Rolling Stones another global hit.

More than 50 years later, “Angie” remains one of the Rolling Stones’ most recognizable songs — not only because of its haunting melody, but because of the unlikely circumstances that inspired it.

One of the band’s biggest classics wasn’t born in a recording studio or on tour, but rather in a quiet room, with a guitar, on a hospital bed, and the first glimmer of hope after one of the hardest periods of Richards’ life. 

Blood for Blood, the ‘90s hardcore punk rock group, is making a long-awaited return to Long Island for the first time in 20 years.

Amid their massive comeback and new lineup, the band is adding another show to their 2026 schedule..

In an Instagram post, the band announced a November 13 show at Amityville Music Hall.

Apart from the rare Long Island appearance, the upcoming concert will mark the Long Island debut of Skinhead in the area.

They will also be joined by the hardcore punk band Soulless.

“BLOOD FOR BLOOD returns to Long Island for the first time in 20~ years this upcoming November. This will be the LI debut of Skinhead, as well as CT’s own Soulless,” the caption reads.

The news regarding Blood for Blood’s additional show this year came amid their ongoing global tour.

Following their long hiatus, the band, with a heavily revamped new lineup made up of Rob Lind on guitar and vocals, Pete Morcey on lead vocals, Ian McFarland on bass, Justin Legere on guitar and Jamie Muckinhaupt on drums, has teamed up with Roadrunner Records as their record label.

One of their first projects was the release of their single “You’re Gonna Have to Kill Me” in December 2025, marking this their first new song in 21 years.

As for their activities in 2026, they have embarked on back-to-back tours, first with the Return From Exile spring U.S. leg, covering major cities such as Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Boston and Los Angeles.

At that time, Blood for Blood performed alongside Skinhead as the main support act.

The band continues the second leg of its trek through the Reborn 2026 Tour, scheduled to run from October to December.

The tour will span across the Southwest, New England, Canada and Europe with rotating support acts including Death Before Dishonor, Ingrown, Dropdead, Skinhead, Soulless and others.

In addition to the headlining concert, Blood for Blood is also set for a festival appearance in November at Revolution Calling in the Netherlands.

Figuring out a color for your bedroom walls can be tough. This space is really personal for a lot of us, and it’s important to choose colors that not only reflect our personalities, but also make us happy.

That’s mainly because it’s the room in your home you might spend the majority of your time in. And even if you don’t, at night you’ll want a paint color that helps you feel calm and de-stressed. After all, it’s better to choose comforting elements to create a restful environment.

Living side-by-side with the shades we choose can have a great impact on our wellbeing. In fact, bedroom hues actually have a lot of influence on just how well you fall—and stay—asleep. In fact, color analysis consultant, color expert and personal stylist Ali Lees says that, in addition to the temperature of the room, noise and exposure to light, color can play a huge factor in our sleep patterns.

“Atmosphere created by color can influence a person’s readiness for sleep,” she tells Parade.

Although it’s a subtle aspect, considering how the hues in your own room might be affecting your quality of sleep and the ability to make you more rested is crucial.

How Paint Color Impacts Sleep and Nervous System Psychology

Although color seems to be such a simple factor in our bedrooms, what you choose to paint the walls impacts not only your sleep, but your nervous system.

Lees suggests that lighter colors can have a hand in creating a calmer atmosphere: “Lighter, more muted colors help to create a calmer visual environment, which can prompt a greater feeling of relaxation,” she states.

Furthermore, she points to a study done in 2018; she interpreted the results from that research to show that some soft and desaturated shades “used within lower-contrast color schemes” can play a part in “activating the parasympathetic ‘rest and digest’ response, as well as lowering heart rate.”

But if you stray away from those, she points out that vivid shades along with colors that clash have been shown to impact mental stimulation, causing it to heighten. When you focus your room around these kinds of colors, it can then be harder to relax for the night.

“In particular, highly saturated warm colors like neons, reds and oranges can increase alertness, arouse areas of the brain associated with higher stress and increase the heart rate, making it harder to wind down,” she explains.

The 5 Bedroom Paint Colors You Should Avoid at All Costs

Here are some colors you’ll want to avoid if you want a good night of rest, according to Lees.

1. Crimson red

Red is the perfect shade for a new purse or a fresh set of nails—but it can be a pretty bold (and disruptive) color to paint a bedroom.

Crimson red, in particular, is not the best option, says Lees. It’s full of emotions that you don’t really want to bring inside a room where relaxation should be top priority.

“Red is linked to perceptions of danger, fear and urgency as well as excitement and passion,” she tells Parade. “These highly stimulating cues can interfere with the sense of restfulness when winding down in readiness for sleep.”

2. Stark white

White is a crisp color, but not the best shade for a bedroom. It’s often associated with places you might not want to think of, like the hospital.

“Cool-toned icy whites can feel harsh and are often associated with clinical environments,” Lees notes. “This works against the cocooning, nurturing atmosphere that is most conducive for sleep.”

3. Vivid orange

Not all orange colors are made equally, according to Lees. Some might be okay to paint your bedroom, such as oranges that are rooted in peach shades or ones that aren’t so bright. Those shades of orange can really interrupt feelings of calmness—and are probably much better suited for exciting environments.

“Whilst orange is warm and cheerful, it can interfere with sleep conditions by increasing stimulation,” she explains. “It is considered an energizing color. Switching to a more earthy, grounded shade of orange brings about a cozier feel, whilst a peachy shade is soft and nurturing.”

4. Yellow

Yellow seems like a happy color, and it is. But generally, you should avoid it in your bedroom. Especially if it’s a neon shade, you’ll want to find something that is less highly-stimulating.

“Neons in general are intensely stimulating as their high luminance disrupts the eye,” says Lees. “When used in large doses, acid yellow can agitate or energize and therefore make it harder to relax.”

5. Solid black

Black is always a great default color to wear, but perhaps not the greatest for your room. According to Lees, black walls are a bit suffocating, even if the rest of your room tends to get dark with nightfall.

“Whilst darkness is conducive to sleep, too much black can feel oppressive, closed-in and stifling,” she explains. “Black also carries negative associations linked to death, depression, fear and anxiety, which can be disturbing when you are trying to relax.”

How To Safely Incorporate Bold Hues Without Repainting Your Entire Bedroom

Who wants to completely overhaul their room just to get some brighter, bolder colors in? It’s not a must, says Lees. There are actually a lot of easy ways to do this. In fact, it might be most helpful to try and blend these colors with decor you already have, she suggests.

“Using bold hues as accent colors with smaller decorative features enables you to bring in a color pop without overstimulating the nervous system,” she explains.

That can include a lot of items in your bedroom, she says, such as “bedding, cushions, padded headboards, armchairs, rugs and throws. “

“You can also add vases, lampshades, wall art or photo frames in bolder shades,” she notes.

Another great tip is to experiment with painting surfaces that are smaller, like “alcoves, skirting boards, doors or window recesses” in vibrant colors, Lees suggests.

“This helps to keep the visual stimulation contained. If you’re painting a single feature wall, choose a smaller wall outside of the main field of vision, for example behind the headboard,” she reveals.

But all in all, make sure to keep it consistent and value repetition in this process, she advises.

“It is far better to choose two or three accent colors and repeat these around the room rather than a huge selection of rainbow shades that feel busy on the eye,” she says.

3 Color Analyst-Approved Alternatives for Better Rest

Puzzled over which colors actually work best for your bedroom? Lees offers up some alternatives.

1. Soft warm blue

Blue is an easy color to incorporate in your room just because it’s often associated with feelings of restfulness, if you ask Lees. It’s not a harsh color, one that promotes softness.

“It is very easy on the eye, which helps build sleep-friendliness by avoiding stimulation,” she says.

Be sure to pick out the right shade of blue, one that’s not too overstimulating but calming enough to better support relaxation. 

“The right shade—not too cool, not too vivid, not too rich—creates much-needed serenity as a bedroom backdrop without being overwhelming on the senses,” she explains. “Soft lavenders are blue-adjacent and can bring about a similarly relaxing feel.”

2. Muted sage green

When we think green, we might think of all things in the natural world. This is what makes it such a good color for the bedroom, says Lees.

“The balanced, calming feel of sage green comes from its association with nature, which is believed to activate the parasympathetic nervous system,” she tells Parade. “More than just a relaxation-inducing shade, a soft muted green evokes a sense of restoration, which is perfect for when you’ve just woken up.”

3. Warm taupe

A warm-toned taupe is a good neutral, according to Lees. Not a harsh option on the color wheel, it’s great for creating a quiet space. 

“Taupe tends to have more subtle warmth than its neighbors gray and beige, which evokes a sleep-friendly sensation of cozy relaxation,” says Lees. “The blank, neutral canvas that taupe creates helps to quieten the mind. Look for a taupe with a hint of pink for a cocooning feel.”

What is the single worst color to paint a room? 

As Lees mentioned, most reds are a bad choice for a bedroom color. 

“Personal preferences and cultural associations affect perceptions of color; however, red is generally well recognized as the worst color to paint a bedroom,” she tells Parade. “It is overly stimulating and creates a heightened sense of alert as it cues danger and energy.”

Can bedroom colors actually affect sleep quality?

Bedroom colors definitely affect how well you sleep. However, Lees says it matters alongside other factors as well.

Habit and lifestyle play a big role in this, but your nighttime environment can also impact your quality of sleep too, she explains. 

“If you experience a calm emotional state before you go to sleep or during a brief night-time waking period, you are likely to stress less and avoid feeling stimulated,” she shares. “These factors should in theory help you sleep more deeply and for longer stretches.”

What color paint makes a small bedroom look bigger and brighter?

Lees explains that choosing a neutral shade can help your room feel bigger and brighter for many reasons.

“Paler neutrals help to make small bedrooms feel bigger and airier by reflecting more natural light around the room and minimizing shadowing,” she says. 

Be wary of darker shades, though. Lees says these “tend to absorb light,” and make a space “feel more enclosed.” 

The best shades to make your space feel bigger than it is and a lot more airy are paint colors such as “soft white, off-white, pale gray, ivory or pale beige to maximize the luminescence of natural daylight,” she explains. They will “amplify the effect with soft yet bright ambient lighting.”

In 1975, Sammy Johns became a one-hit wonder with “Chevy Van.” The song, about a one-night stand with a female hitchhiker in a Chevrolet van, had all the makings of a ‘70s AM pop hit: a catchy melody, carefree lyrics, and an easy cruising vibe.

The songwriting process came over a two-month period for Johns.

“It was a strange thing,” he once told Gary James’ Classic Bands. “The first two verses and the chorus came within the first ten minutes, and the last verse for some reason took about two months. I never understood that. And it finally came together.”

While it was originally recorded in 1973, “Chevy Van” wasn’t released as a single until the height of the custom van craze in the mid-1970s. The wait was worth it. The March 8, 1975  issue of Cashbox featured an ad with Johns in his van pulled over by a police officer with the teaser, “Sammy Johns’ Chevy Van’ gets a speeding ticket… for climbing the charts too fast.”

Weeks later, Johns brought his song into millions of living rooms when he performed it on the April 26, 1975 episode of American Bandstand.

“Chevy Van” reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 on May 3, 1975, and was later featured in the 1977 Danny DeVito movie The Van. Several outlets, including A Taste of Country, have since dubbed “Chevy Van” “The Song of the ‘70s,” attributing the title to a Rolling Stone article.

As a singer, Johns’ only hit was “Chevy Van,” but he became a full-time songwriter, penning country hits for artists such as Waylon Jennings, Sammy Kershaw, and Conway Twitty. Jennings also recorded a popular cover of “Chevy Van” for his 1987 album Hangin’ Tough.

“Yeah, Waylon did a version of it,” Johns recalled in the Classic Bands interview. “That’s really what I wanted to be, a writer. I used to sing in bands, but I really wanted to be a writer.”

John also admitted he hadn’t expected to record “Chevy Van” on his own.

“I never thought I’d get to do ‘Chevy Van’ when I wrote it,” he shared. “When I recorded it and they wanted to put my version out, I was just really happy about it.”

More than 50 years later, “Chevy Van” takes fans back to a simpler time—when a van could set the stage for a pop-rock classic fans still remember.

At 85, Donna Mills has found a surprisingly lucrative new way to connect with her fans—and the eye-popping payday has the internet cheering her on.

The Knots Landing alum has made “many six figures” in less than a month on OnlyFans, according to CEO Andy Bachman on the Creators, Inc. podcast.

Mills joined the platform July 30, promising fans a more personal look at her life, and the response has been swift. “What a Queen,” one fan wrote on Threads started by Erika Jayne from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, while another declared, “I say get it girl, no matter the age.” Others admitted Mills’ success made them curious about checking out her page for themselves.

During her interview, Mills explained what led her to join OnlyFans. “They want to know me. They want to know what I do during the day when I’m home. They want to see my home. They want to know much more about my personal life than we ever experienced back in the ’80s and the ’90s, that the fans were cut off from.”

Mills made it clear that the usual OnlyFans content was “not what I’m about. Never was.” Instead, fans can view anything from makeup-free morning and evening routines to even one video of her stomping grapes with her bare feet.

Fans can’t get enough. Jayne’s thread in early Aug. stated: “Donna Mills has an OnlyFans at 80.” When RHOBH Lisa Rinna added that Mills was actually 85, Jayne replied, “I mean… how f—king amazing is that?? We need to get together soon, LOTS to discuss my friend.”

Sara Evans is hitting the road again this winter for the The Holiday Road Tour. The country star will kick off her 10-city tour Dec. 2 in Cranston, Rhode Island, before wrapping up Dec. 18 in Des Moines, Iowa. Pit stops along the way include Albany, Green Bay, and Des Moines.

The Holiday Road Tour has become an annual tradition during the December holiday season for the singer-songwriter. The shows treat fans to classic Evans hits, like her chart-topping “Born to Fly” and “A Little Bit Stronger,” as well as holiday favorites, all performed with her live band.

Evans’ road to Nashville stardom began with a demo of Buck Owens’ “I’ve Got a Tiger by the Tail,” which caught the attention of legendary songwriter Harlan Howard back in the ’90s. She then signed with RCA Nashville and released her debut album, Three Chords and the Truth, in July 1997.

Though only a modest commercial success, the record and its neo-traditional country sound drew comparisons to Patsy Cline and earned Evans a ton of critical praise, with Rolling Stone calling it “Nashville’s most unjustly ignored debut.”

Shifting to a more contemporary country-pop sound for her next album, 1999’s No Place That Far, Evans scored her first No. 1 on the Billboard country charts with her title track, featuring Vince Gill. Evans then entered her superstar era in 2000 with Born to Fly, which went double platinum and produced the title track that earned CMA Video of the Year.

Riding the momentum, Evans released Real Fine Place in 2005, which debuted at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart. That success was repeated in 2011 with Stronger. In October 2023, she achieved a lifelong dream when she was officially inducted into the Grand Ole Opry.

Though the calendar may not say it’s officially autumn, Hallmark Channel fans know otherwise! ‘Tis the season for fall-inspired meet-cutes, complete with gorgeous foliage, cozy hay rides, and all the pumpkin lattes your heart desires.

On Saturday nights in September and the first half of October, Hallmark will premiere six star-studded “Fall Into Love” movies, including Lori Loughlin‘s highly-anticipated comeback. All of the movies previewed below will also be available to stream on Hallmark+ the day after their Hallmark Channel premieres.

September 5 — Haunted Harmony Mystery: Prelude to a Wedding Adam Fergus, Risteard Cooper, Tamera Mowry-Housley, and Marco Grazzini in Hallmark’s “Haunted Harmony Mystery: Prelude to a Wedding”

Tamera Mowry-Housley is back for her fourth movie in the Haunted Harmony Mystery franchise, along with Adam Fergus, Risteard Cooper, and Marco Grazzini.

Filmed in Ireland like the other three movies, Prelude to a Wedding sees Mowry-Housley’s character — music teacher, amateur crime solver and ghost whisperer Gethsemane Brown — get invited to play the violin at a wedding. But “she and Eamon find themselves involved in the death of a member of the bridal party,” per Hallmark’s synopsis.

We’re partial to Mowry-Housley’s own description of the flick in an August 29 social media post. She quipped in the caption, “I show up to a beautiful Irish wedding and someone ends up dead. 🫠 Classic. Good news is I have help. Bad news is my help is a ghost with unfinished business. Come solve this one with me.”

Haunted Harmony Mystery: Prelude to a Wedding premieres on Saturday, September 5 at 8 p.m. ET.

September 12 — Falling Into Place

In Falling Into Place, Alvina August returns to Hallmark for the first time since 2022’s A Second Chance at Love. She stars opposite Nathan Witte, who’s appeared in many Hallmark movies over the last decade, including June’s Texas Two Step with Brendan Penny and Heather Hemmens.

Longtime Hallmark actress Stephanie Bennett is a key member of this cast, too. According to Hallmark’s synopsis, August plays Kaia, “who returns home for her town’s fall festival as well as her high school reunion and spends the week with her childhood best friend, James, to complete their unfinished fall bucket list.”

Falling Into Place premieres on Saturday, September 12 at 8 p.m. ET.

September 19 — Garage Sale Mysteries: Murder Takes the Stage

Lori Loughlin is finally back at Hallmark, too! Seven years after facing the consequences of of a college admissions scandal that led to her Hallmark hiatus, the actress is returning to her long-running movie franchise, Garage Sale Mysteries, and Hallmark’s beloved series, When Calls the Heart (WCTH).

After Hallmark announced her return in December, the Full House alum made a brief cameo in WCTH‘s season 13 finale, teasing her return as Abigail Stanton in 2027. But Murder Takes the Stage marks Loughlin’s comeback in the mystery franchise’s 17th movie, reprising her role as antiques shop owner and amateur crime solver Jennifer Shannon. In the latest story, a member of Jennifer’s “true-crime book club is murdered during the group’s reenactment of the Lizzie Borden case,” per Hallmark’s synopsis, and the original cast is back to help.

Garage Sale Mysteries: Murder Takes the Stage premieres on Saturday, September 19 at 8 p.m. ET.

September 26 — Pumpkin Regatta Romance Mishael Morgan and Corey Sevier in Hallmark Channel’s “Pumpkin Regatta Romance”

In 2022, Morgan became the first Black actress to win a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Amanda Sinclair on Young and the Restless. But after a quiet exit from the soap earlier this year, she announced she was launching her own production company and a “new chapter” of her career.

Luckily for Hallmark fans, that includes her return to Hallmark with a new fall rom-com. She plays Nadine, daughter of a boat shop owner, and stars opposite another longtime Hallmark favorite, Corey Sevier, playing pumpkin farmer Ethan. According to Hallmark’s synopsis, “their fathers refuse to move past a disagreement” so the two “team up to heal the feud and revive the town’s Pumpkin Regatta.”

Pumpkin Regatta Romance premieres on September 29 at 8 p.m. ET.

October 3 — A Knight to Remember James Trevena and Julie Gonzalo star in Hallmark’s fall movie ‘A Knight to Remember’

Longtime Hallmark star Julie Gonzalo, who welcomed a second daughter this spring with WCTH star Chris McNally, will star in A Knight to Remember, based on Bryan Donovan‘s 2024 novel, “Her Knight in the Museum.” Gonzalo’s leading man is James Trevena, who most recently appeared in the January Hallmark movie Lost in Paradise with Lacey Chabert and Ian Harding. 

Hallmark’s synopsis says Gonzalo plays “practical museum conservator” Emily Porter, who’s restoring “a centuries-old statue of legendary knight Sir Griffin de Beauford,” played by Trevena. “One unexpected kiss brings him magically back to life and turns her carefully ordered world upside down,” the synopsis continues. “As Emily helps the chivalrous time-traveler navigate modern Chicago, pumpkin spice lattes, a Halloween Medieval Fayre, and an FBI investigation led by her ex-husband, she begins to rediscover the wonder and romance she thought she had left behind.”

A Knight to Remember premieres on Saturday, October 3 at 8 p.m. ET (Pssst! Keep your eyes peeled for a Chris McNally sighting in the movie!)

October 10 — The Spirit of Halloween Hallmark stars Kevin McGarry and Meghan Ory will star in ‘The Spirit of Halloween’

WCTH star Kevin McGarry and Chesapeake Shores alum Meghan Ory will scare up some romance in The Spirit of Halloween, which is an autumnal version of A Christmas Carol.

According to Hallmark’s logline, Ory plays “brilliant bridal designer” Everly Stone, who has “no patience for Halloween, especially the beloved fire-station bash that once left her heartbroken in front of everyone she knew.” Everly is visited by the spirit of her late mentor, who delivers a “glamorous warning.” Everly is then taken for an “unforgettable night by three mischievous spirits who reveal the joy she lost, the people she’s pushing away, and the future she might miss if she keeps hiding behind work and fear.”

McGarry plays Everly’s longtime friend, Beau Madison, who’s still “carrying a spark from their past” and, after seeing her past, present, and future, Everly has to “decide whether Halloween is the night that broke her heart or the one that can finally help it heal.”

When The Spirit of Halloween premieres on Saturday, October 10, at 8 p.m. ET, it will be the last of Hallmark’s 2026 “Fall Into Love” flicks before the network’s 17th annual Countdown to Christmas slate of holiday programming kicks off with Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story.

The anime multiverse is headed to Burger King by way of a new collaboration that fans say they’re “setting an alarm for.” Starting September first at participating Burger King restaurants, diners will be able to try a new limited-time menu inspired by Dragon Ball Super.

The nationwide launch will feature a Dragon Ball Super Power Up Pack, which includes:

Burger King teased the launch on Instagram ahead of time with a video highlighting the figurines alongside the caption, “Your next power-up is closer than you think…” Fans quickly jumped into the comments to share their excitement, writing, “I’ve never went to Burger King a day in my life…. Setting an alarm for this drop,” “Might have to skip a meal prep or two for this one,” and “I am ready to power up Burger King.”

Def Leppard had finished Hysteria. Every song was written, recorded, and completed. Co-writer Mutt Lange was taking a break from the sessions when he started messing around with a chorus. The band was ready to go home. Lange insisted on just one more song. “Pour Some Sugar on Me” was written after the album was already complete. Joe Elliott later called it their ‘Beatles song’. VH1 even ranked it the No. 2 song of the entire decade. It peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. It almost didn’t exist.

Pyromania in 1983 had sold more than 10 million copies in the US alone and made Def Leppard one of the biggest bands on the planet. The world waited four years for what came next. On New Year’s Eve 1984, drummer, Rick Allen lost his left arm in a car accident outside Sheffield, England. He was 21 years old. The band didn’t replace him. They waited.

Allen taught himself to play with a custom electronic drum kit that let his feet do what his left hand had done before. Four years of sessions. Four years of recording around a drummer rebuilding himself from scratch. That’s the album “Pour Some Sugar on Me” was accidentally added to at the very end.

The accident that created the song happened during a recording break. Mutt Lange had co-written every song on Pyromania and had already produced AC/DC‘s Back in Black — one of the best-selling albums in history. He wasn’t producing Hysteria, but he was in the sessions as a co-writer.

During a break, he started messing around with a chorus the way a man with his ear tends to do. The band was absolutely done. They’d written everything they had. Lange heard something worth keeping and insisted. “It was written almost by accident,” Elliott said later. “He still insisted that we do this song.” They recorded it after everything else was done. The last thing made became the most important thing on the record.

What it became surprised even the people who made it. “Pour Some Sugar on Me” peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 — never a No. 1. Chart position turned out to be the least interesting thing about it. The song found a life completely outside the album — in bars, saloons, sporting events, and nostalgia playlists. By the early 1990s it had become as much a fixture of American bar culture as it was of rock radio. It outlasted the glam era it came from by finding a completely different audience in the decade that followed. Hysteria sold more than 20 million copies worldwide. “Pour Some Sugar on Me” is the reason most people know it.

Elliott’s full quote says everything: “It became the most important song on the album, if not our career. Think of the most iconic Beatles song you can think of. That’s what it became for us.” What he means is a song that exists beyond its album. A song everyone knows regardless of whether they know anything else the artist made. “Pour Some Sugar on Me” is in that company. A Beatles song for a band from Sheffield who almost lost their drummer and then accidentally wrote the best thing they’d ever done after they thought they were finished.

Mutt Lange was taking a break. He started messing around with a chorus. The band was done. He insisted. They stayed. They recorded one more song. Def Leppard had finished Hysteria before “Pour Some Sugar on Me” existed. VH1 called it the No. 2 song of the decade. Joe Elliott calls it their Beatles song.

Kristen Welker became the latest target of President Donald Trump’s ire after he called for the FCC to “rebuke or punish” the NBC anchor over a comment about his record of endorsing political candidates.

Trump claimed Welker’s description of his endorsement record as “mixed” was deliberately inaccurate and said she would be “reported” to the FCC.

Trump went after Welker in a lengthy Sunday post on Truth Social, calling the Meet the Press moderator the “Unpopular ‘Hostess’” of what he now calls “Meet the Fake Press.” He accused her of mischaracterizing his endorsement record after she said he had seen “mixed results” in recent primary races.

The FCC has limited authority over news coverage, and its own website states that the agency “cannot prevent the broadcast of any particular point of view.” Democratic Commissioner Anna Gomez also pushed back on Trump’s demand, saying the agency has “no authority to punish journalists this administration doesn’t like.”

Dolly Parton‘s death last week sent people back to that familiar typewriter clatter that opens “9 to 5.” Few remember that the song, and the movie that it shared a name with, began with real secretaries who once stood up in a room and admitted they had dreamed about killing their bosses.

The story starts in Boston in 1972, when Karen Nussbaum and Ellen Cassedy, both clerical workers at Harvard, founded a newsletter and grassroots group called 9to5, organizing women around the problems of low pay, no advancement, and daily disrespect. Nussbaum had met Jane Fonda through the antiwar movement, and the two stayed close as Nussbaum’s organizing work grew into a national labor group that would later fold into SEIU.

Fonda wanted to turn those stories into a film. Writer Patricia Resnick spent weeks shadowing secretaries at a Los Angeles insurance company to build the script, and the project’s turning point came at a meeting with roughly 40 office workers in Cleveland, where Fonda asked if anyone had ever fantasized about killing their boss. The room lit up with stories, and those stories became the movie’s revenge plot.

Before the movie existed, 9to5 was already staging its own real-life comedy. The group ran an annual Bad Boss contest, once naming a boss who made his secretary sew up his pants while he was still wearing them, then took the story to the press and eventually onto The Phil Donahue Show. It was that same appetite for public embarrassment that gave the film its comic engine.

Dolly Parton, then a country star with no film experience, was cast to widen the movie’s audience beyond Fonda and Lily Tomlin‘s built-in fan base. She wrote the title track on set, tapping her acrylic nails together to mimic the sound of a typewriter, a rhythm the record’s credits list as “nails by Dolly.”

The former LSU and Notre Dame coach made his CBS Sports broadcasting debut Saturday, and while he kept his usual voice in the booth, fans quickly revived the infamous Southern accent he adopted after taking the LSU job.

Kelly barely had time to settle into his new role before social media started roasting him — from his broadcasting skills to the accent joke that has followed him for nearly five years.

Fans had plenty of material to work with. Some viewers simply couldn’t get past Kelly’s presence in the booth, with one calling him on X, “the most hated guy in college football,” while another declared him “the worst voice calling a game.” Others jabbed at his unusual financial situation, joking that he was “the highest paid announcer” even though his CBS paycheck was hardly the reason for his move out of coaching.
