Viral Punch the Monkey’s Stuffed Orangutan Selling for Hundreds After IKEA Sells Out
A $20 IKEA plush has officially entered resale chaos—and it’s all because of one very small monkey.
After viral photos showed Punch (or Panchi as some are calling him) at Japan’s Ichikawa City Zoo, clutching IKEA’s DJUNGELSKOG orangutan plush for comfort, demand for the stuffed toy exploded. Within days, the retailer sold out in multiple regions, and now resellers are cashing in.
A quick scan of eBay shows listings climbing as high as $350, with others priced at $269, $116 and many options in the $90 range—a dramatic jump from the original retail price. Some sellers have even added steep shipping fees, pushing totals higher.
The frenzy traces back to Panchi-kun—aka "Punch" in English—who was born in July 2025 and “was rescued from being abandoned and raised through hand-rearing,” the zoo shared in an X post translated to English. Videos of Punch cuddling and carrying his orange plush companion quickly racked up millions of views, turning the pair into unlikely internet stars.

“We need to protect Punch at all costs,” one X user wrote.
One Threads user said, “Is it weird that I'm sitting here thinking ‘I hope Punch grows up to be a nice adult monkey like them and protects the baby monkeys’ like I'm projecting generational trauma on MONKEYS.”
Another user shared, along with a video of the baby monkey, “dear god please take away all of little punch's pain and give it to every single one of my enemies.”
But the viral fame also brought concern. Clips circulating online showed other monkeys shoving Punch, with one video appearing to show an older macaque dragging him. The zoo later addressed the situation on X, explaining in a statement, “The adult monkey that dragged Punch is probably the mother of the monkey with whom Punch tried to communicate. She probably felt that her baby was annoyed by Punch and got upset, expressing 'don't be mean.'”
Earlier this month, the zoo reassured followers that “Punch is gradually deepening his interactions with the troop of monkeys!” adding that he’s learning through everyday experiences.
Recent footage suggests things are improving—with Punch seen grooming and even receiving a hug from another monkey.
In the meantime, his beloved plush has become one of the internet’s most unexpected must-have collectibles.
Kylie Jenner Supports Timothée Chalamet at the 2026 BAFTAs
Nobody does awards season better than Timothée Chalametand Kylie Jenner.
The A-list lovebirds arrived at the EE BAFTA Film Awards 2026 in London, England, on Sunday, February 22, in coordinating black looks.
For his part, Chalamet, 30, who is nominated for Best Actor for Marty Supreme, wore an all-back suit consisting of different materials paired with a bow tie.
Jenner, 28, also wore black, but opted for something a bit flashier with a bedazzled bust and large dangling earrings. The cosmetics mogul wore her hair in a sleek, pin-straight style.

(Photo by Carlo Paloni/BAFTA via Getty Images)Of course, this is hardly the first time Chalamet and Jenner, who have been together for three years, have attended an awards show together. In fact, the reality TV personality and the Dune actor attended two other ceremonies before the BAFTAs: the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards and the 2026 Golden Globe Awards.
Though they are very much in the public eye, Chalamet and Jenner don’t often speak about their relationship, save for small tidbits here and there.

Most recently, in conversation with Matthew McConaughey, Chalamet shared a sweet anecdote about the surprise 30th birthday party Jenner threw him this past December.
The mother of two, who shares kids Stormi and Aire with ex Travis Scott, hosted a special screening of Interstellar on IMAX for Chalamet to celebrate the big 3-0.
“I was grumpy on the way there, because I didn’t know where she was taking me at. It’s my birthday. Why are we driving 30 minutes outside L.A.? I got to the theater [and] it was Interstellar on IMAX. I said, ‘Oh, I’m sorry. I’m sorry I was so grumpy on the drive,'” Chalamet, who plays McConaughey’s son in the 2014 Christopher Nolan film, laughed.
Team Canada’s Reaction to Receiving Post-Game Stuffies After Loss Is Absurdity Gold -- Watch Here
Team Canada suffered a stinging defeat to Team USA on the ice today.
After a relentless, pressure-packed regulation, right wing Jack Hughes scored the winning goal for Team USA in overtime, winning the team gold for the first time in 46 years.
But there’s another angle to this story that is going viral: the fact that the losers were handed adorable plush toys with which to dry their tears. Yep, even the most macho, burliest players were handed the duo of Tina the Stoat and a stuffed Flo, the official mascots of the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics.
A little background here: Tina is a white stoat. She can be seen with Milo, a brown stoat and her younger brother who's missing a paw, gallivanting around Milan. Tina is the official rep for the Olympic Games, while Milo reps the Paralympics. And stoats are an endangered animal species native to the Alps and Northern Italy that are quick and agile. Both were designed by Italian school children, per CBS news.

The other little doll is part of the Flo, “a sextet of impish animated snowdrop flowers that never leave their friends and love to have fun even if sometimes this gets them into trouble,” the NBC Olympics shared on their website.
Now, everyone fortunate enough to compete in the Winter Games is handed a pair of these stuffies, win or lose. But watching the IOC representative inch down the line of Canadian hockey stars, placing delicate little stoats and snowdrops into their hulking hands, only for the guys to barely conceal their “What the eff is this?” faces, was almost too much to handle. Which is why men’s hockey fans on Twitter aren’t holding back.
MacKinnon being so disgusted by the Olympic stuffie made me laugh.
Team Canada is still the better team, just wasn’t their day. pic.twitter.com/q4SJEtUN9D
“That was heartbreaking, but this stuffy should take the sting off the loss. #WTF,” one fan wrote.
"Ngl giving Canada these stuffed animals almost seems kinda cruel to do after that loss,” wrote another.
“MacKinnon being so disgusted by the Olympic stuffie made me laugh. Team Canada is still the better team, just wasn’t their day,” another shared.
Maybe Nathan MacKinnon, center and alternate captain for the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche, was just hoping for the snowdrop that wears sunglasses. We’ll never really know.
Last Thursday, when the women's hockey Canadian team fell to Team USA in overtime, the women weren't too thrilled with their consolation prize either.

The women didn't seem too thrilled as they were handed a stuffed animal named Tina, who is the official mascot of the 2026 Winter Olympics.

We, on the other hand, can't wait to get our mitts on these little guys. If you, too, would like your very own Olympic stoat, too bad -- they're sold out everywhere. Looks like the only way to get one is to win a medal.

Hailey Bieber Donates $20k to Eric Dane's Family GoFundMe After His Passing
The world is mourning the death of Grey's Anatomy actor Eric Dane, who died on February 19, after a courageous battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)—a degenerative disorder affecting the nervous system, often referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease. Dane was 53.
Following his passing, family friends launched a GoFundMe to support his two daughters, Billie and Georgia Dane, whom he shared with actress Rebecca Gayheart.
"It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of Eric Dane after a hard-fought battle with ALS, leaving behind his devoted wife, Rebecca, and his two teenage daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world," the fundraiser read, adding, "Eric's friends have come together to create this GoFundMe to support his girls and their future needs."
Us Weekly reports that Hailey Bieber was among the leading donors, generously giving $20,000 to support Dane's family.
While Bieber's connection to the Dane family isn't publicly known, her large donation was a thoughtful gesture, suggesting that, like millions of others, she had been a long-time fan of his work, including his iconic role as Dr. Mark 'McSteamy' Sloan on Grey's Anatomy.
By Sunday, Feb. 22, donations to the fundraiser had surpassed $290,000 as the family works towards their $500,000 goal.

Dane's family confirmed his passing to People, sharing in a statement: "With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS. He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world."
"Throughout his journey with ALS, Eric became a passionate advocate for awareness and research, determined to make a difference for others facing the same fight. He will be deeply missed, and lovingly remembered always. Eric adored his fans and is forever grateful for the outpouring of love and support he’s received. The family has asked for privacy as they navigate this impossible time," the statement continued.
Gayheart and Dane married in 2004 before separating in 2018. However, she called off the divorce following his ALS diagnosis. According to Page Six, after his passing, Gayheart broke her silence on Instagram Stories, sharing a photo of framed pictures of herself with Dane and their children.
"I am so blown away by the outpouring of love and support from our community,” she wrote, adding, “There aren’t words to express our gratitude. You are truly holding us up during this difficult time."
Dane first went public with his ALS diagnosis in April 2025. He told People, "I have been diagnosed with ALS. I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter.”
Shia LaBeouf Seen in Heated PDA Moment Following Recent Arrest
Shia LaBeouf appears to be moving forward with his personal life after a turbulent few weeks, stepping out for a flirty night in New Orleans just days after his recent arrest.
The actor was spotted getting close with a mystery brunette during a Saturday night outing on February 21 at a bar just off Bourbon Street, where the pair reportedly spent nearly an hour together. Video and photos obtained by TMZ show the two standing hand in hand on an upstairs balcony, leaning into each other and sharing multiple kisses throughout the evening.
At one point, the woman rested her hand on LaBeouf’s chest while smiling up at him, and he leaned in to whisper in her ear before the moment turned more affectionate. Witnesses who spoke to the outlet said the Honey Boy star appeared relaxed, in good spirits and was seen drinking during the outing.
The public display comes amid a difficult stretch for LaBeouf, 39, who was arrested in New Orleans on February 17 and charged with two counts of simple battery following an altercation with a group of men during Mardi Gras celebrations.

Recent police records have also shed light on earlier incidents tied to the actor’s Los Angeles-area home prior to his reported split from Mia Goth. According to documents, officers were called to the property for separate situations, including a disturbance of the peace and a stalking concern.
In November 2024, a 911 call described a “husband and wife” disturbance, with an “uncooperative female” heard repeatedly saying “just go,” while a male voice could allegedly be heard cursing in the background. Authorities later cleared the call without filing a full report.
Months later, in August 2025, another call was placed after a concerned individual reported that an “old friend” believed she was married to LaBeouf and was “murderously angry with him, appears to be stalking him and is going to his home.” It remains unclear whether the actor was aware of the situation.
LaBeouf and Goth allegedly split nearly a year ago. As previously reported, Goth had urged him to seek rehab and address concerns surrounding his drinking before their relationship ended.

‘70s Pop Rock Legend Reveals the One Song He ‘Has’ to Play at Every Show
John Oates may not perform with his longtime musical partner Daryl Hall anymore, but one of the duo’s earliest songs remains a must on Oates’ concert setlist.
In a February 2026 interview with The New York Post, Oates, 77, opened up about his concert run with the Good Road that recently kicked off in Nashville. The music legend, who split from his Hall & Oates partner in 2024, teased that he’ll play “everything from the earliest days of rock to the folk era to early sixties R&B” to give fans “an idea of who I am and why I am who I am.”
Oates also revealed that there’s one Hall & Oates hit that he has to include in every show.
“I don’t think I’ve ever played a show, whether with Daryl or solo, where I haven’t played ‘She’s Gone,'” he shared. “I feel like I have to play that song, but I love having to have to play that song if you know what I mean.”
“She's Gone" was written in early 1973 by Oates and his former bandmate Hall. It appeared on the duo’s 1973 album, Abandoned Luncheonette, and was released as a single in November of that year. A re-release in 1976 had the song peaking at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The song was inspired by a girl Oates met at a dinerOates once revealed the origins of “She’s Gone. In an interview with Grantland, the songwriter explained that he “met this girl at three in the morning in a soul food restaurant in the Village called the Pink Teacup.”
“I was in there, God knows why, at three in the morning, and in comes this gal, she had a pink tutu and cowboy boots on, and it was December, and I thought that was pretty cool,” he shared. "So we started dating, we kind of hooked up. It was the ’70s, so things happened kinda fast.”
“We saw each other a few times, and then I asked her if she wanted to hang out on New Year’s Eve, and she said yes,” he continued. “She was supposed to come to my apartment and meet me, and she never showed up. As it was getting toward midnight, I finally realized that she wasn’t coming, and I just sat down with my guitar and started writing this almost, like, folk song. All it said was ‘She’s gone, oh oh oh, she’s gone’ and ‘What went wrong?’ It was really very simple.”
He finished up the song with Hall’s help in under an hour.
“He had gone through a breakup of his own,” Oates told American Songwriter of his former bandmate in 2021. “So, he and I sat down, and we kind of pooled our sorrowful resources, so to speak. We began to write. He came up with the idea for the verse. We just pulled my chorus and his verse together.”
Oates told Grantland that “She’s Gone” was the song that put Hall & Oates “on the map.”
“It has such a profound importance in the scheme of all the other records we made,” he said. “Without this song, we might not have had a career. Making money and chart positions are not that important to me. It’s great, a great thing, it’s fabulous and all that, but really, what’s really important to me is to have written something that has stood the test of time.”
Oates also noted that decades later, he gets standing ovations when he performs "She’s Gone.”
’70s Rock Band Announces Update on 2026 Farewell Tour
The iconic '70s rock and roll band Little Feat has announced a festival date amid their farewell tour. Shared via Instagram on Friday, the band is set to make an appearance at Summerfest Music Festival in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin this summer.
The festival announcement follows the band's 2026 farewell tour, which was announced back in November. The tour will mark the band's retirement after an almost six-decade-long career. Bill Payne, the band's keyboardist and co-founder, poetically expressed his thoughts on the last tour, comparing it to a warm hug.
“My hope is ‘The Last Farewell Tour’ resembles a long passionate kiss, a prolonged warm hug, giving us all time to embrace this special moment to remember our collective past with those here and others departed but still in our hearts," said Payne. "This is a celebration that acknowledges gratitude to all for an unforgettable journey, mingled with joy, sadness, but no regrets. Let’s allow some time for all of this to play out. We still have a lot to say and share. All endings suggest new beginnings.”

Want Stronger Bones? Try These 7 Daily Weight-Bearing Moves
Maintaining strong, healthy bones becomes more important than ever as you age. Preserving bone density helps ward off chronic pain and prevent serious conditions like osteoporosis, keeping you mobile and confident into your golden years. After age 30, you begin to lose lean muscle at a rate of 3% to 8% every decade without regular strength training. In addition, hormones shift, metabolism slows and bone density declines. That’s why it’s essential to weave weight-bearing exercises into your workouts.
What makes weight-bearing movement crucial for preserving and boosting bone density? It makes your bones all-around stronger.
According to Dr. Taylor Dunphy, MD, orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist with Hoag Orthopedic Institute in Southern California, “Bone is a living tissue that is constantly being turned over by cells called osteoblasts (builders of new bone) and osteoclasts (removers of old / damaged bone). Bone density is driven by Wolff’s law, which states that bones become stronger under increased stress and weaker (resorbed) under decreased stress.”
Weight-bearing workouts force your body to train against resistance, thanks to gravity. Whether you’re a total beginner or looking to add functional movement to your training sessions, challenging your body with impact can improve strength and balance, increase cardiovascular and muscular endurance, avoid injury and help manage your weight and metabolism, explains Sarah Pope, Certified Personal Trainer at Life Time Clarendon.
Pope adds, “Improving bone density as we age is most important for constant stimulation of bone remodeling due to the natural aging process. As we age, maintaining a strong ‘frame’ (hips, spine, grip strength and legs) will ensure decreased risks of physical limitations and mental illness occurring.”
To help maximize your workouts, we spoke with experts who share the best weight-bearing moves to perform on a daily basis. From deadlifts to jumping rope, there’s something for every fitness level.

7 Best Weight Bearing Exercises for Stronger BonesCompassionate Eye Foundation/Jonathan Bielaski/Getty Images
1. Brisk walking or runningLacing up your shoes and heading out for a brisk walk or run works wonders for the mind, body and soul—research says so! Dr. Dunphy recommends performing this exercise 30 minutes a day. To make it more challenging, consider strapping on a weighted vest that’s 5% to 10% of your body weight.
“[A brisk walk or run] provides repetitive ground reaction force through the tibia, femur and hip; [helps you] maintain lower-extremity cortical bone, [and is] safe foundational stimulus for most age groups,” Dr. Dunphy explains. “Walking alone won’t dramatically increase BMD in younger adults, but it’s excellent for maintenance and fall prevention.”

2. Bodyweight squatsThe bodyweight squat is a classic move that promotes a stellar lower-body burn—and it’s a great starting point. As you progress, you can incorporate weights to make the movement more challenging. Dr. Dunphy notes that heavy resistance (70% to 85% of your one-rep max) is more effective for stimulating bone growth than high-rep light loads.
- Begin standing tall, feet shoulder-width apart.
- Place your hands on your hips or extend them out in front of you.
- Bend at the knees and hips to lower into a squat, descending until your thighs are parallel to the ground.
- Drive through your heels to return to standing, squeezing your glutes at the top of the movement.
- Perform 3 sets of 8 to 12 reps.

3. Farmer’s carryThe farmer’s carry is a simple yet productive exercise that boosts grip strength, core stabilization, and full-body bone strengthening.
- Begin by holding a heavy dumbbell or kettlebell in each hand by your sides.
- Start walking forward with control, keeping your torso still.
- Perform 3 to 4 sets of 30 to 45-second carries.
“[The deadlift is] one of the most osteogenic resistance movements when performed safely,” explains Dr. Dunphy.
- Stand tall with your feet shoulder-width apart, toes pointed out slightly, and a barbell positioned over your mid-foot.
- Hinge at the hips and bend your knees to grab the barbell. Use an overhand grip just outside knee-width.
- Activate your core, maintain a tall chest and press through your heels to rise up and lift the barbell.
- Squeeze your glutes once you reach the top of the movement.
- Hinge at the hips and use control to lower the barbell toward the ground.
- Perform 3 sets of 5 to 8 reps, using a moderate to heavy load.

5. Jumping ropeJumping rope isn’t just a beloved activity for kids. This weight-bearing movement serves as a great workout for both your bones and brain.
- Begin by standing tall with your feet together.
- Hold the jump rope handles in each hand with your elbows tucked in.
- Use your wrists to swing the rope overhead.
- Lightly jump over the rope, making sure to land on the balls of your feet.
- Perform 2 to 3 sets of 30 to 60 seconds of jumping.
“Rows strengthen the upper back and promote proper alignment, supporting spinal health,” notes Josh York, Certified Personal Trainer, Founder & CEO of GYMGUYZ at GYMGUYZ.
- Start by anchoring a resistance band to a sturdy pole at chest height.
- Stand tall, feet hip-width apart, holding the handles with both hands as you face the anchor point.
- Bend your elbows and pull the band toward your body.
- Squeeze your shoulder blades together.
- Use control as you extend your arms back to the start position.
- Perform 3 sets of 12 reps.

7. Jumping jacksIf your joint health allows for it, jumping jacks offer a low-impact cardio movement that stimulates the bones.
- Start by standing tall with your feet together and arms at your sides.
- Jump both feet out into a wide stance while simultaneously lifting both arms overhead.
- Quickly jump your feet back together while lowering your arms.
- Continue to perform jumping jacks at a steady pace, keeping the landing soft through your feet.
- Complete 3 sets of 20 reps.
Aging doesn’t mean you’re “getting weaker.” While bone loss occurs gradually, you have more control than you’d think. Weight-bearing workouts are one of the absolute best ways to maintain strong, durable bones.
“When you move your body against gravity, whether that is lifting weights, doing squats or even walking briskly, you are basically telling your body, ‘Hey, we still need this strength,’” says York. “And your bones respond by reinforcing themselves.”
By performing weight-bearing exercise on a regular basis, you’re not only protecting your bones—you’re also boosting balance and stability while sculpting lean muscle. That resilience truly means everything and keeps you doing the activities you love most as you age.

Savannah Guthrie's Missing Mom: Private Search Underway Despite Sheriff's Stern Warning
On Sunday, Feb. 22, volunteers got together to conduct a search for Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Today anchor Savannah Guthrie, who went missing three weeks ago.
About a dozen or so people met in the parking lot of a Hobby Lobby in the area, according to a photo shared by investigative reporter Jonathan Lee Riches, better known as JLR. The group set out with maps in hand, ready to look for anything that could help find Nancy, or the person or persons responsible for her disappearance.
JLR shared some additional photos of items that have been found thus far this morning, including a backpack and some clothing.

— JLR© (@JLRINVESTIGATES) February 22, 2026The people involved in the search have apparently disregarded a stern warning from the Pima County Sheriff's Department about private search parties.
"Volunteer search groups have inquired about being in the area. Per the Sheriff, they were asked to please give investigators the space they need to do their work," the department posted on X on Saturday, Feb. 21.
"We appreciate their concern, and we all want to find Nancy, but this work is best left to professionals. PCSD has volunteer opportunities if they wish to get involved with the department," the message continued. Stella McCartney Reflects on the Criticism Her Mom Faced in Wings
During his post-Beatles era, Paul McCartney formed the band Wings. In 1971, the group consisted of Paul, his wife, Linda McCartney, drummer Denny Seiwell, and guitarist Denny Laine.
Though Wings is widely regarded as one of the most commercially successful bands of the 1970s, critics were not entirely receptive to the idea of Linda’s participation.
In the new documentary Paul McCartney: Man on the Run, Paul and Linda’s daughter Stella McCartney opened up about the trials and tribulations her mother, who died of cancer in 1998, had to face.
“She wasn’t a cookie-cutter example of someone you put in a band. What they, and she especially, had to go through, like when they isolated her voice and ridiculed her? I mean, it breaks my heart,” Stella, 54, who is a globally recognized fashion designer, said.
“I know that there was pain there. I knew she hurt. She wasn’t like, cold,” Stella added, noting that it was Linda’s “ bravery and spirit” that kept her going.
As for Paul, he, too, recognized that involving his wife, who was a photographer by trade, with the band would cause some blowback.
“‘She can’t do this, she can’t sing, she can’t play piano, she can’t do anything. Oh, they’re crazy man, what’s he got his old lady in the band for? Who the hell is this?’” Paul recalled, arguing that Linda had “a special sound.”
Linda died on April 17, 1998, at 56 years old, in Tucson, Arizona. She and were married for 29 years (1969–1998) and had three children together: Mary, Stella, and James McCartney.
Terri, Bindi, and Robert Irwin Share Heartfelt Tributes to Steve On His 64th Birthday
The Irwin family is honoring their late patriarch, Steve Irwin, on what would have been his 64th birthday.
On Saturday, Terri Irwin,Bindi Irwin, and Robert Irwin all took to their Instagram pages with old photos and heartfelt messages honoring the 'Crocodile Hunter.'
"Today would have been Steve’s 64th birthday," Terri wrote. "Remembering all the love, laughter, and wonderful adventures. May we all stand together to continue Steve’s important conservation work, and honor his legacy by protecting our precious wildlife."
Bindi, who was 8 years old when Steve died in 2006, shared the sweet name that her daughter, Grace, calls her late grandfather.
"Happy Birthday, Dad. We miss you so much," she wrote. "Grace is so proud to tell everyone that Grandpa Crocodile is her guardian angel. Love you. Forever."
"Would have been your birthday today," Robert said in his caption of him as a child with Steve. "Love you, miss you… thank you for being a guiding light and inspiration every day."

While Steve has always been known as an iconic figure as a conservationist as well as a TV personality with an extroverted personality, his memory was brought to the forefront recently as Robert competed, and won, Dancing with the Stars in the show's most recent season.
Partnered with pro Witney Carson, Robert regularly paid tribute to his dad in his performances, something that proved to be cathartic for him.
“For the first time ever this experience has been a way to find this avenue to feel and express emotions from my own grief journey that I’ve never been able to truly embrace before and I certainly haven’t embraced publicly,” he said in an interview with "Chicks in the Office."
Terri and Bindi, who regularly watched Robert take to the ballroom floor, also joined him in routines that were specifically dedicated to Steve. Terri participated in his contemporary dance on "Dedication Night" while Bindi joined him during his foxtrot dance in a stunning tribute for the show's 20th anniversary episode.
Bindi, for her part, has also competed on DWTS and took home the mirrorball trophy in 2015. She was partnered with Derek Hough.

Aldi’s Pretty New Confetti Glassware Looks Just Like a Sur La Table Version More Than 3x the Price
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
It might sound a little ridiculous, but glassware is kind of having a moment right now and I'm not mad about it. Maybe it's the rise of those cutesy Icon glasses at Anthropologie (you know, the ones with tiny strawberries, bows or initials), or maybe it's the sudden obsession with vintage-inspired coupes and colored goblets. Either way, the era of the plain, clear, no-personality drinking glass is clearly on pause.
These days, even your weeknight water deserves a little flair. Ripples, tinted glass, scalloped edges—it's all fair game. Your cabinet can look like a curated flea market find instead of a stack of identical cylinders, without actually having to do the digging for the good stuff.
Crofton 2 Pack Confetti Tall Glassware - Blue, $9.99 at Aldi Aldi's Crofton Confetti Tall Glasses in a pack of twoAldi
In this week's Aldi Finds aisle you'll spy a ton of chic Crofton Confetti Glassware, including the two-pack of tall Confetti glasses shown above in a pretty blue colorway. Each set costs $9.99, breaking down to roughly $5 per glass.
These glasses are made from soda lime glass, which is just your standard, everyday sturdy glass. There's nothing fussy or fragile for absolutely zero reason. Each one is a little over 3.5 inches wide and just under 4.5 inches tall, so think classic drinking glass size. They hold about 14 to 15 ounces, which is perfect for water, iced coffee or soft drinks.

Before you use them the first time, just give them a good wash with warm, soapy water. And here's the important part: don't shock them with extreme temperature changes. So no pouring boiling water into a cold glass straight from the cabinet (no idea why anyone would do that anyway).
The Crofton Tall Confetti Glasses are also an excellent dupe for Sur la Table's own Confetti Tumblers, which cost $18.95 each. That's more than three times the price of an individual Aldi confetti glass. I should mention that these are also made of soda lime glass, so the exact same material. And the Sur la Table version is just a smidge shorter than Aldi's glass, too. Kinda makes you wonder why anyone would pay so much more for what's essentially the same product.
Another standout dupe in the Aldi aisle right now is its cut-glass candle holders, which rival a viral Anthropologie style but for way less.

Stephen Colbert Stunned by This Actor's Strange Food Confession
Leave it to late-night TV to deliver an unexpected food confession. When Stephen Colbert posed the deceptively simple question — "What is the best sandwich?" — actor Jeff Danielshad an answer that was anything but ordinary.
Instead of naming a deli classic or a towering club, the 71-year-old shared a deeply personal favorite that sounds unusual at first, but strangely intriguing the more you hear about it.
The foundation of this sandwich is humble: pita bread. But rather than slicing it open and stuffing it, he approaches it differently. The key, he explained, is spreading roughly a quarter-inch layer of creamy peanut butter across one half of the pita. So far, nothing too wild.
Then comes the twist.
Next, he reaches for Ruffles Cheddar & Sour Cream chips (a very deliberate choice) and crushes a generous handful directly over the peanut butter. The chips aren’t just a topping; they provide crunch, salt, and a sharp, tangy flavor that completely shifts the profile of the sandwich.
And just when you think the combination couldn’t get more unexpected, barbecue sauce enters the picture.
He recommends drizzling your favorite brand on top, joking that his go-to is "Sweet Baby James," before quickly clarifying that he actually means Sweet Baby Ray’s (while humorously suggesting "Sweet Baby James" would be a perfect name for a sauce inspired by James Taylor).
Once folded, the sandwich becomes what he describes as a collision of his three favorite flavors: peanut butter, chips, and barbecue sauce. His comparison? "It’s like visiting three countries at once."
"How high is Jeff Daniels when he eats this?" a fan quipped in the comments on TikTok.
"At no point could I tell what ingredient he was going to name next," another added, referencing the eclectic ingredients.
"That is definitely some Harry Dunne type s--t," another joked.
Odd? Certainly. But as far as comfort-food creativity goes, it’s hard not to admire the enthusiasm behind this boldly unconventional bite.
Wondering what Daniels has been up to as of late? He's working on opening a music venue and bistro restaurant, JD's Stage Bistro, in Michigan.

Jack Hughes Goes Viral With Bloody Grin After Scoring Game-Winning Goal for Gold
Team USA are tops once again.
In an epic battle on the ice, Team USA were victorious over Team Canada, winning gold for the first time since 1980. Jack Hughes, the team’s right wing, scored the winning goal in overtime, giving Team USA their third-ever gold medal in men’s Olympic hockey.
But more than the glory of winning, it was Hughes’ battle-tested grin that stole the spotlight. Speaking with an NBC reporter following the game, the 24-year-old New Jersey Devil let it all out: blood, sweat, glory, relief, respect. Needless to say, the interview -- and his bloody grin -- immediately went viral.
🚨 JACK HUGHES, who scored the winning goal for Team USA
“This is all about our country right now! I LOVE the USA... We're so proud to be Americans!”
We need MUCH more patriotism like this on our Olympic teams! 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/wI8k79Z5hp
Here's a close-up.
The road to the gold medal was paved with drama and chipped teeth, with the two hockey superpowers finding their way to the ultimate face-off. Six minutes into the first period, Team USA’s Matt Boldy scored despite the defensive onslaught of two Canadians, Cale Makar and Devon Toews.
The Americans combatted relentless pressure from the Canadians, and even staved off a 5-3 power play that lasted longer than 90 seconds. Saving a series of wacks, goaltender Connor Hellebuyck let one slip by him in the second, and the stage was set for a pressurized third period.
In the end, though, it was the Americans who robbed the Canadians of gold. And it was Hughes who had the best winning smile to prove it. U-S-A, U-S-A, U-S-A.

The Texas Heritage Songwriters Association formally inducted the two country performers into the Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame on Feb. 21 at Austin's ACL Live at The Moody Theater, alongside veteran hitmaker Don Cook and the late Keith Gattis.

1989 Classic Ranked ‘Best Romantic Comedy of All Time’ Defined an Entire Movie Genre
The romantic comedy is a quintessential movie genre that has defined the film industry for decades. Many have argued that modern rom-coms don't live up to the most popular and enduring ones of the '80s and '90s, but the art of blending romantic storylines with humorous situations is not lost. That being said, it would be fair to say that the genre reached its prime around the 1990s.
Vanity Fair took it upon itself to compile a list of the 42 best romantic comedy movies of all time to put a spotlight on the best of the best within the genre. Films across decades made the list, including Red, White, and Royal Blue (2023), the Drew Barrymore classic Never Been Kissed (1999), the fan-favorite How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003) and even the Oscar Best Picture winner Anora (2024).
But rom-com lovers may not be surprised to see that the No. 1 best movie in the genre is the Nora Ephron and Rob Reiner classic When Harry Met Sally (1989) starring Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan. The film follows Harry Burns (Crystal) and Sally Albright (Ryan) over the course of 12 years as they repeatedly cross paths in New York City. After a post-college road trip where they debate whether men and women can truly be just friends, they drift in and out of each other’s lives while navigating careers, relationships and heartbreak. As their friendship deepens, they must confront their long-standing chemistry and the fear that acting on it could ruin the friendship they have.

After When Harry Met Sally was released, it didn't take long for the film to become "the gold standard" for romantic comedies, as Vanity Fair puts it. "All its talky, charming smartness felt revelatory upon its release, and still resonates today primarily because it so thoughtfully examines the central question posed at the beginning: can (straight) men and women really be just friends? While those stark gender lines, and Sally’s obsession with marriage, feel a bit dated, the film is still a near perfect execution of the genre," the magazine writes.
The film exploded in popularity, securing wins and nominations for BAFTA, Academy and Golden Globe awards. The movie also launched Ryan into newfound fame as America's sweetheart, as well as securing Reiner's legacy as one of the most influential directors of comedy in Hollywood. When Harry Met Sally would forever change the way the world viewed romantic comedies, and for years Hollywood would try its best to replicate the charm and impact the movie had — whether or not it has been successful is subjective.
So many of the movie's iconic scenes — such as the famous Katz Deli diner scene, and the initial road trip conversation between Harry and Sally — continue to resonate with fans almost four decades later. The film has even been preserved by the Library of Congress as a "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant" piece of work worth saving forever.
