‘Gilmore Girls’ Star Says Her Mom Told Jared Padalecki Something That Absolutely Mortified Her

Sun, 02/22/2026 - 7:43pm

Actress Arielle Kebbel opened up about her time filming for the hit WB series, Gilmore Girls, which had a seven-season run until 2007.

During a joint Us Weekly interview in February 2026, Kebbel and her I Can Only Imagine 2 castmate, Milo Ventimigliaspoke about co-starring on Gilmore Girls. As fans are aware, Ventimiglia played Rory Gilmore's (Alexis Bledel) boyfriend, Jess Mariano, and Kebbel played Dean Forester's (Jared Padalecki) wife, Lindsay.

During the Us Weekly interview, Kebbel noted that Lindsay, who began appearing on the show during season 3, was just out of high school when she married Dean. Kebbel, who was 18 when the show's third season aired, also shared that her mother was on set with her while filming Gilmore Girls.

"[Dean and Lindsay] were a very new relationship. I also think we were 18 in the show. I remember my mom was with me on set because I’d just moved out [to L.A.], and I put on the wedding dress and she cried. And I was like, 'Mom, you gotta stop!'" said Kebbel in the interview.

Ventimiglia then jokingly asked, "'Did your mom also go up to Jared and tell him, 'Hey, this is her first wedding, treat her right?'" Kebbel replied that her mother did divulged to Padalecki that he was her first on-screen kiss, which embarrassed her.

"No, she only did that with [our first] kiss. She told Jared it was my first onscreen kiss, and I was mortified. He loved it, but then it was really sweet. It was so quick, and I remember I was nervous, but Jared just made it easy and fun. Like just another day of filming," said Kebbel in the February 2026 interview.

Arielle Kebbel Opened up About Filming With Milo Ventimiglia Again

During the Us Weekly interview, Kebbel and Ventimiglia noted that their Gilmore Girls characters didn't interact all that much. Ventimiglia, who was a main cast member during seasons 2 and 3, reminded Kebbel that Jess made an unkind comment to Lindsay about her music taste in Season 3, Episode 19.

"I remember Jess saying something snipey about you. He was kind of a jerk," said Ventimiglia, who came back to play Jess in the 2016 Netflix revival miniseries, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.

Kebbel suggested that she didn't recall the moment and revealed that she didn't view Jess as "a jerk."

"I didn’t think that. I just thought he was the guy in the leather jacket vibes," said Kebbel, who left Gilmore Girls during season 6.

In a February 2026 interview with Extra TV, Kebbel shared that she enjoyed working with Ventimiglia on I Can Only Imagine 2 while portraying fictionalized versions of husband-and-wife, Hilary and Tim Timmons. She said that she was excited about reuniting with Ventimiglia, as they were so young when they were filming Gilmore Girls.

In addition, she complimented Ventimiglia's abilities as an actor and called him a "very ground calming kind of presence to have on set." She also noted that he established a close bond with Timmons, a Christian musician.

"He's such a pro and he really dove into the work with Tim so deeply," said Kebbel to the publication.

Alicia Keys Looks Back on 25 Years of 'Fallin''

Sun, 02/22/2026 - 7:39pm

Even in 2026, if you leave the radio on long enough, there’s a good chance you’ll hear Alicia Keys’ hit song “Fallin’” play at some point.

Keys, 45, who is now a 17-time Grammy winner, will celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Fallin’” next month, and while there’s no denying that her career has transformed since then, she still holds a special place in her heart for that time in her life.

“Just thinking back to that girl in me at that time and how she had no idea, none. That she was completely what you call ‘fake it till you make it’ — that’s what she was doing, and she did a damn good job,” Keys told People whilst reflecting on the upcoming milestone.

“The more I grew, the more I learned,” the singer-songwriter continued. “And so I think about her, and I’m so appreciative of her because she was strong, she was clear. Even though she didn’t know everything, she knew what she didn’t want and she knew what she had to hold onto — and that was authenticity and truth and honesty and music.”

Keys concluded, “I’m very proud because I recognize her in me today. So that’s a beautiful thing. So to be able to come all this way and have all these years to be creating and to have not even hit the tiny bit of where I’m going is a really, really exciting thing. So I’m grateful.”

“Fallin’” was released in 2001 as the lead single from Songs in A Minor, the debut studio album by Keys. The project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and went on to win multiple Grammy Awards, helping cement Keys as one of the most exciting new voices in R&B at the start of the decade.

'EastEnders' Announces Clare Bates Return

Sun, 02/22/2026 - 7:03pm

Fans of EastEnders are set to see another familiar face return, as former Hollyoaks star Gemma Bissix will reprise her role as Clare Bates this spring.

The series confirmed the news yesterday, revealing that Bissix will return for a short stint tied to Nigel Bates’ (Paul Bradley) ongoing dementia storyline.

The show revealed that Clare returns to Walford after learning that her stepfather’s dementia has worsened. However, she is unprepared for the reality of Nigel’s condition as she comes face to face with her declining health.

Clare’s return also brings unresolved tensions, particularly with Nigel’s wife Julie (Karen Henthorn). As Nigel’s loved ones consider the next stage of his care, Clare’s presence becomes increasingly important.

EastEnders has been working with Dementia UK and experts in the field on Nigel’s storyline to ensure it has been portrayed as sensitively and as accurately as possible.

Speaking about her return Bissix said, “It was a real pleasure to be asked to reprise the role of Clare for Nigel’s storyline.”

The actress acknowledged that fans have been anticipating her return to the soap opera, sharing, “I was hoping to get the call as I think the fans wanted EastEnders to revisit their relationship.”

Reflecting on her characters history, Bissix first joined EastEnders in 1993 and remained on the soap opera until 1998. “Nigel and Clare were a formidable pairing in the 90’s with a very unique stepfather/stepdaughter relationship,” she said. “It has been so great to reconnect with Paul and Karen after all these years, and it’s crazy how time felt like it had stopped when we did! I grew up on the set of EastEnders and essentially learnt my craft there, so it’s been a real full circle moment! Whilst it will be an emotional reunion, I hope the viewers will be pleased to see Clare and Nigel on screen together once again!”

EastEnders Executive Producer Ben Wadey shared, “We always knew we wanted to bring Clare Bates back to Walford as we continue Nigel’s storyline, and I’m delighted that Gemma said yes. The stepfather and daughter duo share a complicated history and have been estranged for many years, but it was essential for us to revisit this relationship as Nigel’s dementia progresses and the family start to consider his additional care needs.”

Nancy Guthrie's Neighbor Says the Community Feels 'Sorrowful' Amid the Search for the 84-Year-Old

Sun, 02/22/2026 - 6:53pm

As the search for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie stretches into yet another week, neighbors and the broader community in the Catalina Foothills area near Tucson, Arizona, describe a profound sense of sorrow, concern, and unrest.

Guthrie—the mother of Today Show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie—has been missing since late January, and what authorities believe was an abduction from her home has left residents shaken and struggling to process the unfolding tragedy.

Local neighbors who knew Nancy from church and around town say the atmosphere has shifted dramatically since her disappearance. Many have described the tight-knit community as "very concerned" and unsettled by the sudden vanishing of a familiar, beloved neighbor. Residents have taken extra precautions, including installing their own security cameras, reflecting broader anxiety about safety and the uncertainty of the situation.

"I know that we all feel really sorrowful that [Nancy] and her family have had to go through this without any answers," Laura Gargano, a neighbor of Nancy, told People. "She was just a really open, warm person. Many of our neighbors have put out yellow ribbons as a sign of solidarity and support for the family. We stand with you, and we are here for you."

View this post on Instagram

Gargano added that many members of the community feel like there isn't a lot that they can individually do "at this point." But their yellow ribbons and the flowers they've left for Nancy symbolize standing together. They're "ready and available to help if there was something they could do," she adds.

The emotional toll isn't limited to just those who knew Nancy personally. Community members have expressed empathy for the Guthrie family, particularly Savannah Guthrie, whose public appeals for help have kept the case in the spotlight. Messages of support have poured in via social media, even as authorities ask folks to reserve official channels for actionable tips rather than condolences, so law enforcement resources remain focused on leads.

While the search continues, law enforcement has confirmed there are no suspects in custody, though the investigation remains active and evolving. Authorities are reportedly using tools like genetic genealogy and evidence analysis to follow potential leads, but the search could still take significant time.

Randomizer categories: Chicken cutlets for protein, red cabbage for producer, mandoline for equipment, fruity for style and 28 minutes for cooking time.

Dishes: Michele went with crispy chicken cutlets with fruity braised red cabbage and a blackberry and orange juice sauce. Giuseppe made chicken Milanese with braised red cabbage and an apple jus. Those were two pretty similar dishes, which made judging interesting.

The judges for this episode were TOC VI champ Antonia Lofaso, TOC IV champ Mei Lin and Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli.

Winner: Giuseppe won the match by a score of 83 to 81. He beat Michele by one point on both taste and use of the Randomizer. They tied on presentation.

Episode 2 Matchups and ResultsMatchup 3Viet Pham vs Erica Barrett

Randomizer categories: Beef chuck for protein, green beans for produce, meat mallet for equipment, blackened for style and 32 minutes for cooking time. Woof, that's tough because you don't typically serve beef chuck blackened.

Dishes: Viet made Bo Luc Lac, or "shaking beef," which is a traditional Vietnamese dish made with cubes of beef, with blackened pho spices and green beans. Erica went with blackened beef chuck with mashed potato puree, green beans and Creole gravy.

During judging, neither chef really accomplished their "blackening." They were more sauteed and braised, so they got dinged for that.

Winner: Viet won by a score of 77 to 75. He beat Erica by two points on taste and one on presentation; she beat him by one on use of the Randomizer.

RELATED: Guy Fieri Brings Flavortown to TV for the First Time Ever With New Competition Series

Matchup 4Angelo Sosa vs Stephanie Izard

Randomizer categories: Bratwurst for protein, Brussels sprouts for produce, brick for equipment, toasted for style and 28 minutes for cooking time.

Dishes: Angelo went with bratwurst Galbi, a Korean meat dish with pears, and kimchi Brussels sprouts. Stephanie made beer-braised bratwurst with brown butter toasted spaetzle.

Winner: Angelo and Steph got the two highest scores in the qualifying rounds with 84 and 85, wow. I hate when that happens, when the strongest scores are against each other, because then somebody who really did well has to go home. Stephanie ended up winning; she beat Angelo by two points in use of the Randomizer, and he won by one point in presentation.

This New Sam’s Club Bakery Loaf Is Perfect for Soup Night

Sun, 02/22/2026 - 6:46pm

Sam's Club shoppers know the bakery section can be a welcome source of cozy finds, especially when cold weather calls for something comforting at the table. And few things pair better with hearty meals than a crusty loaf of bread.

A new Member's Mark Artisan Rosemary Sea Salt Boule is drawing attention for its bakery-fresh aroma and rustic golden crust, qualities that can make even simple meals feel a little more special.

The 24-ounce loaf has rosemary baked into the dough and a sprinkle of sea salt across the top, giving it a savory depth that sets it apart from standard sandwich bread. Its crusty exterior gives way to a tender, airy interior, creating a texture contrast typically found in artisan bakery loaves.

But this one doesn't come with a specialty shop price tag. At $5.63 per loaf, it's an easy and affordable way to bring new flavor to the dinner table.

A February 21 TikTok from @samsclubfavorites highlights the find:

@samsclubfavorites

🍞 Member’s Mark Artisan Rosemary Sea Salt Boule is at Sam’s Club and it smells like a bakery when you open the bag! It’s a 24 oz loaf with rosemary baked in and sea salt on top, and the crusty outside with soft inside is so good. 🤤 I’d warm slices and add butter, use it for sandwiches, or toast it alongside soup for an easy upgrade. 🍲 If you love a savory bread that tastes fancy with zero effort, this is it! 🙌🏻 ($5.63) #SamsClub #samsclubfinds #bread

With its rustic appearance and fragrant herbs, the loaf feels like something you would pick up from a neighborhood bakery rather than a warehouse club shelf. Served alongside a bowl of chicken soup, paired with pasta, or used as the base for a grilled cheese or roast beef sandwich, it adds an extra layer of comfort to winter meals.

Sam's Club Rustic Boule Bread Is Ideal for Soup and Comfort Meals

Rustic boules are one of the oldest forms of bread-making in Europe, traditionally baked in clay ovens heated by fire and sealed to trap heat and steam. That process created a crunchy crust while allowing the interior to cook slowly into a soft, tender crumb.

As explained by Gluten Free Gourmande, modern baking methods replicate this effect by trapping steam during baking and finishing at high heat to brown the exterior, producing the crisp crust and soft interior that make boule-style bread especially well-suited for soups and hearty comfort meals.

As the weather turns cold again and soup pots return to the stove, this Sam's Club loaf fits right in. It's a simple addition that can make an everyday meal feel more complete.

U.S. Warns Americans in Mexico to Shelter in Place as Flights Are Canceled

Sun, 02/22/2026 - 6:36pm

The U.S. Embassy & Consulates in Mexico are urging Americans in the country to shelter in place as violence breaks out in multiple regions.

On Sunday, Feb. 22, the Mexican military killed Nemesio Rubén Oseguera Cervantes, known as “El Mencho,” one of the world’s most wanted alleged drug cartel leaders.

According to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, Oseguera led the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, or CJNG, one of the “most powerful and ruthless criminal organizations” in Mexico.

In the aftermath of Oseguera’s death, individuals believed to be tied to organized crime launched a series of violent retaliatory acts, setting fire to buses and businesses and clashing with security forces.

The U.S. Department of State announced a security alert on X Sunday, writing, "Due to ongoing, widespread security operations and related road blockages and criminal activity in many areas of Mexico, U.S. citizens should shelter in place until further notice. Roadblocks have impacted airline operations, with some domestic & [international] flights canceled in both Guadalajara & Puerto Vallarta. Taxis/ride shares are suspended in Puerto Vallarta. Seek shelter and remain in residences or hotels."

The state department noted the locations affected are "widespread," including the states of Jalisco (including Puerto Vallarta, Chapala, and Guadalajara), Baja California (including Tijuana, Tecate, and Ensenada), Quintana Roo (including Cancun, Cozumel, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum), and Guanajuato, Guerrero, Michoacan, Oaxaca, Nuevo Leon, and Tamaulipas.

Actions to Take

The embassy outlined the following actions for Americans in Mexico to take:

  • Keep family and friends advised of your location and well-being via phone, text, and social media.
  • Seek shelter and minimize unnecessary movements.  Remain in your residences or hotels. Avoid areas around law enforcement activity.
  • Be aware of your surroundings.
  • Monitor local media for updates.
  • Follow the directions of local authorities and in case of emergency, call 911.
  • Avoid crowds.

To receive important security updates, Americans in the country should enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) and follow @TravelGov, @USEmbassyMEX, or the “U.S. Citizens in Mexico” channel on WhatsApp.

The U.S. Embassy can be reached 24/7 via the phone numbers listed in the U.S. Embassy Mexico’s security alerts.

Robert Aramayo Makes BAFTA History and Thanks Ethan Hawke

Sun, 02/22/2026 - 6:32pm

This year's best actor category is very competitive this award season, with Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael B. Jordan, Jesse Plemons, Ethan Hawke nominated at multiple shows. Robert Aramayo was nominated with them for best leading actor at the BAFTAs. Aramyo, 33, surprisingly won over the more familiar names and shouted out Hawke, 55.

Robert Aramayo wins Rising Star and Best Leading Actor

The I Swear actor played a real man named John Davidson, who was diagnosed with Tourette's at a young age. Davidson became a Tourette Syndrome Campaigner. The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power actor also won Best Lead Performance at the British Independence Film Awards. Aramayo also took home the BAFTA for the Rising Star Award, which is the first time an actor won that and Best Lead. The win is surprising since the other actors were nominated for the same roles at other major award shows.

The actor immediately covered his mouth in shock after Kerry Washington said his name. "I absolutely can't believe this," he said on stage. Aramyo said he couldn't believe he was looking at DiCaprio, 51, and the other famous nominees. Aramyo revealed Hawke inspired him as a student.

"When I was in school, Ethan Hawke came in to speak to us at Juilliard and he gave an amazing talk on longevity as an actor, about protecting your instrument and avoiding self-destructive behaviors," he said. "And it had a really great impact on everyone in that room. So to be in this category with you tonight is incredible. Thank you, Ethan."

Hawke was in the audience and got emotional over the words. He was nominated for his role in Blue Moon. The actor plays American lyricist, Lorenz Hart, struggling with his mental health before the opening of Oklahoma! He is nominated for an Academy Award for the same role.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Star Defends Eric Dane’s GoFundMe in Brutally Honest Message

Sun, 02/22/2026 - 6:16pm

Grey’s Anatomy star Kate Walsh has defended Eric Dane’s friends setting up a GoFundMe for the late actor’s daughters.

Dane died on February 19 after battling ALS. The beloved actor is survived by his two daughters, Billie Beatrice Dane, 15, and Georgia Geraldine Dane, 13, with his wife, Rebecca Gayheart.

Following Dane’s death, his friends set up a GoFundMe for his teenage daughters. Like with James Van Der Beek’s GoFundMe following his death on February 11, there was a lot of backlash over Dane’s GoFundMe given his success as an actor.

However, his former Grey’s Anatomy co-star Walsh has come out to defend the GoFundMe with a brutally honest yet compassionate message. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Walsh shared a photo of Dane with Georgia and Billie, which was also used on the GoFundMe.

“A lot of people (I know in a time when we ask so much of everyone to help with all the things) are under the microscope that actors are rich, but when they go thru these debilitating illnesses they go thru their funds. Thank you for even considering to help,” she wrote below the photo.

Over 3,000 people have donated to Dane’s GoFundMe, including Euphoria creator Sam Levinson and his wife, Ashley Levinson, who have the top donation to date after giving a staggering amount.

“Following his diagnosis, Eric became a passionate spokesperson for the ALS community, using his voice and platform to advocate for fellow patients and to push for greater awareness. Even as his own health declined, he remained deeply committed to helping others facing the same devastating disease. As his illness progressed far more quickly than anyone could have imagined, Eric's friends have come together to create this GoFundMe to support his girls and their future needs,” reads part of the message on Dane’s GoFundMe.

The initial goal was for $250,000, but that was surpassed within a day, so a new goal of $500,000 has been set. Gayheart used her Instagram Stories to share a screenshot of the GoFundMe page and express her thanks to all who have donated.

People Who Were Praised for Being 'Easy' as Kids Often Do These 7 Things as Adults, Psychologists Say

Sun, 02/22/2026 - 6:10pm

When you were young, your parents and teachers may have mentioned in passing that you were the “easy” kid, the one who never caused a ruckus and made adults’ lives easier. While some childhood labels can be detrimental to adults—“dramatic” or “too much,” for example—being labeled as “easy” is a bit of a mixed bag. It can either have a positive or negative impact in your adult years, or a combination of both.

Licensed clinical psychologist Dr. Emma Basch says that when kids are labeled as “easy,” it generally means that adults find their temperament pleasant and their behavior compliant.

“Parents may also refer to their kids as ‘easy’ if they find that their parenting skill set gels well with their child's needs and/or in comparison to a sibling whose needs are more challenging for them,” she tells Parade

Christopher A. Kearney, Distinguished Professor of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, further details that an "easy temperament" usually refers to someone who is calm and able to adapt well to new situations.

“Children with this temperament often achieve regular sleep and eating routines more readily, adjust well to different situations, express their emotions in a mild-mannered way and are often described by caregivers and teachers as pleasurable to manage,” he adds.

Being an “easy” child can be something in your DNA, or it could have resulted from an uplifting, supportive environment. Either way, for better or for worse, it can have various effects upon your adult life.

Benefits and Downsides of Getting Praise for Being an 'Easy' Kid

There are upsides and downsides to going from an “easy” child to an adult.

“Many benefits are associated with this temperament, including adaptability, flexibility, friendliness and lower risk of behavioral problems,” Dr. Kearney points out.

But then there are those negatives. For example, he explains that as a child, you may have been taken for granted or had your needs overlooked when compared to more demanding children, and these feelings can follow you into adulthood.

Also, if you were frequently praised by the adults in your life, it probably felt pretty good—but as Dr. Basch notes, you may have received the message that your harder feelings weren’t tolerable or wanted by adults.

“This can lead kids to feel like they need to be ‘easy’ or that their job is to be ‘easy’ for the grown-ups around them,” she says, and this can influence your day-to-day life as an adult.

7 Things 'Easy' Kids Do in Adulthood, According to Psychologists1. Suppress needs

“Adults who were praised for being ‘easy’ can struggle to acknowledge their own needs or express their needs to other people,” Dr. Basch says. “Being ‘easy’ often comes with suppression of needs, and that can be hard to overcome.”

2. Make better connections

But then on the flipside, Dr. Kearney says that adults with easier temperaments tend to have smoother interactions with others, stronger bonds with partners and good, cooperative relationships with co-workers.

3. Avoid conflict

Dr. Basch says that sometimes, being “easy” as a kid can mean being conflict-averse as an adult.

“This usually starts in childhood, when the need to be seen as ‘easy’ or ‘good’ often means reigning in feelings of anger so as not to upset adults,” she reflects.

4. People-please

People-pleasing can also be common among adults who were viewed as “easy” when they were kids.

“‘Easy’ kids often have their self-worth tied up in being liked and praised by adults, and this pattern can continue in adulthood,” Dr. Basch says.

5. Internalize emotions

“Emotional suppression, or internalizing emotions, is common in ‘easy’ kids when they become adults,” Dr. Basch says. “‘Easy’ kids believe they can only show their ‘good’ parts or positive emotions, and adults often navigate this by suppressing their hard feelings.”

6. Experience perfectionism

Unsurprisingly, “easy” kids often grow up to be perfectionists. As Dr. Basch says, “As children, mistakes were not tolerated by others or by themselves, and being perfect was often praised.”

7. Have better emotional regulation

You may experience better moods and even-keeled emotions if you were an “easy” child. Dr. Kearney lists good emotional regulation, more resilience, less anxiety and depression, more self-acceptance, greater well-being and higher life satisfaction as examples of this.

Related: People Who Were Raised by Helicopter Parents Often Develop These 9 Traits as Adults, a Psychologist Says

How To Move Forward

If you feel that being an “easy” child ultimately caused negative impacts in your life as an adult, then some healing is in order.

“The first step is compassionately acknowledging where the behaviors and beliefs come from,” Dr. Basch says. “While behavioral changes such as working on naming your emotions or expressing your needs to others can be helpful, it's really important to address the deeper wounds from childhood to heal in adulthood.” You can achieve these goals through therapy

But if you feel that it’s been nothing but a positive experience, Dr. Kearney asserts, “Why would one want to unlearn an easy temperament when there are so many benefits to it? The only thing that might need to be learned better is advocating for oneself if others have neglected needs.”

'90s TV Star, Ranked Best ‘Male Sitcom Character,’ Became the King of Sarcasm

Sun, 02/22/2026 - 6:09pm

More than 20 years after Friends aired its finale, one character still rules the world of sitcom comedy: Chandler Bing.

Played by the late Matthew Perry, Chandler has now been ranked by Collider as the No. 1 best male sitcom character of the 1990s, beating out other iconic TV favorites.

The honor feels fitting. For 10 seasons, from 1994 to 2004, Perry turned Chandler into the “king of sarcasm,” delivering sharp one-liners with perfect timing while also showing the character’s hidden heart.

Chandler wasn’t just funny. He was relatable. He used jokes to hide his fears. He teased his friends, but he loved them deeply. That mix of humor and honesty is why fans across generations still connect with him today.

How Chandler Bing Became a '90s Sitcom Icon

When Friends first premiered on NBC in 1994, many viewers focused on Ross and Rachel’s love story. But everything changed in Season 1, Episode 7, “The One With the Blackout.”

In that episode, Chandler gets stuck in an ATM vestibule with model Jill Goodacre. What could have been a simple joke turned into a defining moment. Nervous and awkward, Chandler blurts out, “Gum would be perfection,” then instantly regrets it. He spirals into embarrassment, revealing the insecure man behind the sarcasm.

That episode showed audiences something new: Chandler wasn’t just the funny guy. He was vulnerable.

Perry connected so deeply with the role that he once admitted in his memoir that after reading the script, he felt, “I was Chandler.”

Per Yahoo, he memorized the entire pilot before his audition because he believed so strongly in the character. He almost missed the role due to another project, but when that fell through, he landed the part that would define his life.

Friends became a massive hit, ranking in the Top 10 U.S. TV ratings every single season. Its 2004 finale drew more than 52 million viewers, making it one of the most-watched finales in television history.

Behind the scenes, Perry faced serious struggles with addiction. He began drinking as a teenager and later battled opioid dependence. In his 2022 memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, he shared that he spent millions trying to get sober and had been clean since 2021.

After Friends, Perry starred in films like The Whole Nine Yards and appeared in shows such as The West Wing. Yet no role matched the cultural impact of Chandler Bing.

When Perry died on Oct. 28, 2023, at age 54, tributes poured in from around the world. Ranking him as the best male sitcom character of the ’90s doesn’t just celebrate a funny performance. It honors a character who made millions laugh while quietly teaching them that it’s okay to be imperfect.

This Thrifter Paid Next to Nothing for Carrie Bradshaw's 'Sex and the City' Wedding Gown and Sold It for Thousands

Sun, 02/22/2026 - 5:59pm

It sounds like one of those once-in-a-lifetime fashion finds that feels almost too good to be true. A Chicago woman came across an iconic wedding gown from Sex and the City at a local Goodwill for just $18.99. She later sold it for thousands, and the story has captured major social media attention.

While it wasn't the dress worn down the aisle in the film's plot, Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker) wore the "Eleanor" couture dress, designed by Vera Wang, during a bridal photo shoot for Vogue in the first Sex and the City movie. Poshmark reseller Ashley Cano thrifted the gorgeous gown and sold it to a new real-life bride, Sophia Corin Merlino, for $2,750—a massive markup from her original $18.99 thrift price.

Cano's viral TikTok reaction—"Vera freaking Wang," she exclaimed—quickly drew thousands of views, turning her Goodwill haul into a pop-culture moment.

"I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this dress," she captioned the TikTok video. "But I fear I may have [bitten] off more than I can chew. It's so big, so heavy. And I have no clue how to best sell it. Any help?"

She later took to TikTok with another video asking Chicago brides to give her "just a minute to catch up" on inquiries about the dress made of sumptuous fabrics with a voluminous ruffled skirt.

"Since this went viral, I have had an insane amount of inquiries," she wrote. "I'm working on finding the best way to handle everyone's inquiries and still have safety around meeting up for try-ons."

Eventually, Merlino made the purchase. And now, nearly a year later, she wore it to her wedding. Merlino made the dress her own with minor alterations, walking down the aisle in Miami at the Vizcaya Museum & Gardens on February 13.

This thrift-to-wedding-day journey—from a cheap find to a cherished bridal moment—is a reminder of why thrifting remains such a fun hobby for fashion lovers and treasure seekers alike. Not every thrift store run yields a piece of Hollywood history, but when it does, the payoff can be unforgettable.

'Neighbours' Star Shares Disappointing Revival Update

Sun, 02/22/2026 - 5:33pm

Fans of Neighbours received a disappointing update about the soap’s future this week from star Rebekah Elmaloglou, following her exit from I’m a Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here! Australia.

In a recent interview with TV Tonight, Elmaloglou discussed her time on the reality series and addressed the possibility of another Neighbours revival.

After Neighbours concluded its most recent run in 2025, fans have continued campaigning online in hopes of another revival.

Elmaloglou acknowledged the ongoing fan support, telling the outlet: “The fan groups are still going strong, and there’s still so much hope out there.”

However, Elmaloglou said she does not believe a reboot is likely in the immediate future. “I think Jason (Herbison, producer) is probably going to leave it be for a while,” she said. “I think he needs a break. I think everyone needs a break.”

The actress continued being a little less optimistic, adding, “I don’t know. I think it may be finished this time round. But the fan groups are still going.”

Elmaloglou joined the cast of Neighbours in 2013 as Terese Willis. The character became known for her complicated relationship with Paul Robinson (played by original Neighbours cast member Stefan Dennis).

She remained a regular on the series until its original finale in 2022 and returned when Amazon revived the show in 2023. The series concluded again in 2025.

Before joining Neighbours, Elmaloglou rose to fame playing Sophie Simpson on Home and Away from 1991 to 1993. She later reprised the role in 2002, 2003, and again in 2005.

Elmaloglou ultimately placed fourth on I’m a Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here! Australia. Speaking about her future, she told TV Tonight:  “I’m hoping this bloody show opens up doors for work for me, not just acting, but all sorts of other things, like presenting.”

Classic episodes of Neighbours are being released on the show’s official YouTube Channel. Meanwhile episodes from 2011 until the series 2025 finale can be streamed on Amazon Prime.
