Frozen meatballs make dinner ridiculously easy. Throw them into pasta, stuff them into rolls for meatball subs, serve them as party appetizers, or pair them with vegetables and rice when there’s not much else in the fridge. And while homemade meatballs will always have their place, some frozen versions come surprisingly close in flavor and texture.

Unlike some freezer categories like frozen pizza or chicken nuggets where there’s a huge gap between the best and worst products, most of the meatballs I tried were pretty tasty thanks to their blends of herbs and spices. Most were flavorful and tender, and overall, I was pleasantly surprised by how well these came out once cooked.

A good frozen meatball should still have a savory, herby flavor and a texture that doesn’t turn rubbery or mushy after heating. The best ones tasted hearty enough to eat straight out of the air fryer, while others felt more like classic freezer staples that would really shine with marinara, melted cheese or tucked into a sandwich roll.

For this ranking, I tried several popular frozen meatball brands, focusing mostly on Italian-style varieties, along with one plant-based option. After testing them side by side, here’s how these frozen meatballs ranked from good to best.

How I Chose the Meatballs

Unlike other frozen proteins (like frozen chicken tenders), there weren’t a lot of frozen meatball options to choose from, especially in my area, but I was still able to find most of the major brands, including one plant-based option. You can easily find the frozen meatballs I taste-tested at major grocers like Costco, Walmart, Target, Trader Joe’s, Albertsons and Sprouts.

I tried to stick with Italian-style versions for the most part, except for the Impossible meatballs because I couldn’t find the Italian-style variety. Otherwise, these all have that distinct herby, savory flavor Italian meatballs are known for, along with a mix of beef, pork and chicken.

How I Tested the Meatballs

Most frozen meatballs had instructions for cooking them on the stovetop, oven or microwave. I chose to use my trusty bella air fryer, which includes a baking feature.

I like meatballs a bit crispier, but I also cooked them thoroughly and according to the package instructions as closely as possible.

8 Frozen Meatballs, Ranked From Worst to Best

After taste-testing eight frozen meatball options, here's my ranking to find the best ones for your freezer.

8. Impossible Plant-Based Homestyle Meatballs

It almost isn't fair comparing these plant-based meatballs to the real thing, especially because I couldn't find the Italian-style version of these, but they stacked up quite nicely in terms of flavor and texture.

I was pleasantly surprised by the meat-like texture, and despite missing some of the herbs found in Italian-style meatballs, the onion and garlic still gave them a delicious flavor that could easily be upgraded with a sauce.

However, I did notice the exterior of some of the meatballs stuck to my teeth a bit, which may be minimized if you crisp them up a little more. Otherwise, they make a worthy alternative to traditional meatballs.

7. Great Value Italian-Style Meatballs

I had high hopes for Great Value's meatballs because I like the brand’s frozen tenders so much, but these lacked a bit of flavor compared to others on this list, despite containing onion, parsley and garlic.

They were perfectly fine for an affordable frozen protein, but they definitely benefited from sauce to bring everything together. Otherwise, they work well enough for a quick dinner.

6. Cooked Perfect Italian-Style Meatballs

Similar to the Great Value meatballs, these were a bit milder in flavor than others on this list. I appreciated seeing fennel listed as a prominent ingredient, but it still wasn’t enough to make them especially memorable.

The texture was solid thanks to the beef and pork blend, though not anything particularly special. I liked them just fine, but they definitely benefited from some sauce.

5. Bremer Family Size Italian-Style Meatballs

Like some of the lower-ranking meatballs on this list, the Bremer ones could have used a little more seasoning and herbs. They were slightly better than a few of the others near the bottom of my list, but they still tasted somewhat plain on their own.

Otherwise, the texture was solid. They crisped up nicely, and the smaller size made them versatile enough for almost any dish. If Aldi is your main grocery store, these are still worth grabbing—just make sure to have some sauce on hand.

4. Rosina Italian-Style Meatballs

Rosina's meatballs almost had everything going for them. The flavor was on point thanks to the beef, pork and chicken blend, along with the Romano cheese, onion, garlic and breadcrumbs.

However, the outside texture never really crisped up and ended up slightly drier than most other options on this list. I’m not entirely sure why, but after a few bites, it didn’t really matter because I still thoroughly enjoyed them.

3. Trader Joe's Fully Cooked Italian-Style Meatballs

Trader Joe's meatballs have a big fan base, and I could see why. These are bigger than almost all the other meatballs on this list and packed with flavor thanks to the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, onion, bell peppers, garlic and parsley.

They taste surprisingly close to homemade, and the size makes them perfect for a variety of meals, whether you're making meatball soup or layering them into lasagna. If you regularly shop at TJ's, there’s really no reason to stop elsewhere for a different brand.

2. Good & Gather Italian-Style Meatballs

Good & Gather's Italian-style meatballs were a close runner-up bursting with herby, savory flavor. They stayed juicy on the inside and slightly crisp on the outside, just the way I like them.

These classic-style meatballs are relatively small compared to options like Trader Joe’s or Cooked Perfect. Overall, the garlic, breadcrumbs and Romano cheese created a really balanced flavor that helped these rank so high.

1. Kirkland Cooked Italian-Style Beef Meatballs

I was surprised, because while these weren't the classic Italian-style meatballs made with beef, pork and chicken, this all-beef version still had a ton of flavor thanks to the breadcrumbs, Parmesan, Romano, and blend of herbs and spices.

There was also a subtle kick from the chili pepper, which I especially enjoyed. These instantly brought back memories of eating sausage pizza from my local pizza shop as a kid. Whether you're making a meatball sub or finishing off your plate of spaghetti, these are definitely the ones to get.

Overall, I'd happily buy any of these frozen meatballs again for pasta night or just to snack on when I need a bit of protein. They're easy enough to cook, especially when you're not up to making them from scratch. If you need a quick dinner for cheap, these are the ones you need to have on hand at all times.

The iconic 1980s rock group Dexys Midnight Runners have added new dates to their international 2026 tour. The announcement came Friday afternoon via Instagram, sparking excitement among fans.

The newly added dates follow the band's recent album announcement, which arrived on May 20. The upcoming record, titled LOVE, will mark the group's seventh studio release and the first under their original full name since their 1985 landmark album, Don't Stand Me Down.

Due to high ticket demand, Dexys Midnight Runners have added several performances to their upcoming trek, which originally was scheduled to visit 12 cities. The five new dates will take place in early October and will run through Sweden, Germany and France, transforming the run into a true international trek.

Curious, I knew I had to put Cher's macaroni salad to the test. So I turned up the tunes, channeled my inner '90s girl and got to work. And before you ask, you best believe I belted "Believe."

For this recipe, you need black olives, tomatoes, red onion, canned white albacore tuna in water (Cher likes Chicken of the Sea), mayonnaise, Spice Islands Beau Mond seasoning (which I couldn't find, so I used a similar blend—Spice House Lake Shore Drive seasoning, a shallot and herb-based option), freshly cracked pepper and a short shape of pasta.

Cher calls for "gnocchi" pasta, but she doesn't mean potato gnocchi but rather something like Gnocchi Sardi, which is a small, hand-rolled shell-shaped pasta. As you'll see, I went with orecchiette because I couldn't find the gnocchi-style pasta Cher called for.

Start by boiling your pasta in a pot of salted water. Meanwhile, chop your tomatoes and onion and add to a bowl. Drain the pasta, add a little mayo (so it doesn't stick, as Cher says) and add the tuna and olives before seasoning to taste with cracked black pepper and the seasoning blend. 

Finally, Cher directly notes to "add a little more mayo than you think necessary, so it's kind of goopy." Refrigerate and serve cold.

What I Thought of Cher's Pasta Salad Served Mac Salad

Frankly speaking, I thought this salad might be an issue up front as I'm not a huge fan of canned tuna. My mom used to eat tuna fish sandwiches all the time when I was a kid, so the smell of tuna takes me right back (I'll spare you the "If I Could Turn Back Time" joke here). And mayo is one of maybe three foods that make my stomach turn. 

But even considering that, Cher's macaroni salad ended up being much greater than the sum of its parts. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, the tomatoes were ripe and juicy, the raw red onion added a sharp bite and the black olives were creamy and earthy. As for the canned tuna? I'm happy to report it was not nearly as offensive as I remember it being. 

After Cher said to make this salad on the goopy side, I added a generous dollop of avocado oil-based mayo and relied on my seasonings a bit more for flavor. It was perfection!

Another thing I loved was how quickly this one-bowl recipe came together. This is truly an easy-peasy side dish that's absolutely perfect for your next picnic or barbecue. I could definitely be convinced to make this macaroni salad again for an upcoming summer soirée.

Tips for Making Cher's Macaroni Salad

Find the right pasta. Cher notes if you cannot find the very specific De Cecco gnocchi-shaped pasta, which is not the same as potato gnocchi, it may be called cavatelli. I couldn't find the De Cecco gnocchi shape, so I went with orecchiette since it was a similar shape and size as my diced ingredients.

Beartooth singer Caleb Shomo made a major announcement on May 23, sharing with fans that he is a "proudly gay man" following months of speculation about his sexuality and longtime marriage to wife Fleur Shomo after releasing the single "Free" in February 2026.

The rocker said that his next album will show him "expressing [himself] whole heartedly and fully" to share "the most honest depiction of who" he really is. Fans have already seen some of that with the band's empowering new single "Free," which was released in February and shows Caleb in a crop top, glitter, and makeup in the music video.

Shortly after Caleb's post, his wife of 14 years, Fleur, shared a sweet video of them dancing together and laughing with her own lengthy message detailing the complicated feelings around trying to "support him whilst losing everything" amid their breakup, calling it "a very disorienting and hurtful time."

She confirmed that their marriage is now over, but that she has "always wanted nothing more than for Caleb to be happy," and that she would continue supporting him.

"I already miss it and my husband more than anything," she added amid the divorce news. "Our story was a good one. And now it's done."

The news comes days after Beartooth announced the U.S. leg of their upcoming Pure Ecstasy World Tour featuring Don Broco, Magnolia Park, and Windwaker as openers.

Originally released in 2003, "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers became even more popular when the band rereleased it 2004. The song continues to be a huge hit, and is currently number six on the Hot 100 Rock Songs on Billboard.

"Mr. Brightside" has become widely well-known and recognizable over the years, becoming somewhat of an anthem for the millennial generation. It is extremely popular specifically in the United Kingdom, where it is the third biggest selling/streaming song of all time and is the longest-charting single on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100. "Mr. Brightside" is one of the top fifteen most downloaded rock tracks ever in the country.

The music for the song was written by guitarist Dave Keuning, and Flowers wrote the lyrics upon hearing his composition. "Mr. Brightside" depicts the true story of frontman Brandon Flowers finding his girlfriendcheating on him in a bar in Las Vegas. One of the biggest exciting pieces of news on BookTok recently was Veronica Roth announcing a new Divergent novel, titled Sixth Faction.

However, her new fantasy dystopian novel, Seek the Traitor’s Son, was released on May 12, 2026, kick-starting a new book series called The Burning Empire.

In Seek the Traitor’s Son, Elegy Ahn suddenly finds herself with a new destiny, one that she didn’t ask for or want. She and one of the most ruthless Talusar generals, Rava Vidar, are destined for something big. One will lead their people to greatness, and the other to destruction, but neither of them know who will do which.

All they know is that one man is at the center of their fates, and it’s a man Elegy is told she will fall in love with. Theren’s life has never been one that he has had any control over, but will doubts about him affect the side that he finds himself on?

Roth chatted with us about the development of Seek the Traitor’s Son, as well as how she creates the book boyfriends we all wish we could have.

It turns out that the work on Seek the Traitor’s Son has been a long time coming, and you can tell in the depths of the world-building.

“I started writing Seek the Traitor’s Son in September 2019, and I wrote 10, not fully complete, drafts,” Roth shared as we talked about the inspiration for the new dystopian romance, “They were bits and pieces, and it was really experimental. I just kept playing with the genre and the characters. It came together in pieces.”

While the world-building took its time, it turns out that the interior with Elegy and Theren was where the story really fell into place. Roth just needed to figure out how to put them into a backdrop that was both interesting and dynamic, “I knew there was this tension between them that wasn’t hatred, but something else. I was curious about that and setting up a love story that begins with profound failure and rebuilds after that.”

Yes, for those who have wondered, Theren is a bisexual man in this world, and it’s something that many fans have praised Roth for. While this wasn’t necessarily intentional, it did come organically, purely because Theren “has chemistry with everyone.”

Roth made it clear that she doesn’t define her characters. Instead, she listens to them and how they interact, “This seems like an important part of the way that he’s relating to people, and there’s no reason for me not to include it. I just remain open and pay attention to why my instincts are telling me about the characters.”

But if you think that her book boyfriends are the ones you’d want in the real world, that’s probably not the case. After all, they are a little bit “moody” for most.

I had to ask how she goes about creating these book boyfriends, though, because they are well-crafted and layered, and she shared, “They’re often an exaggeration of something that we find appealing in real life, such as the stereotypical alpha male character in romance is an exaggeration of confidence. You wouldn’t actually want to be bossed around by a man like that in real life, but you enjoy the fantasy of reading about it, because it’s this quality that is quite appealing in real life.”

Theren’s exaggeration is that of sensitivity and emotional intelligence, with Roth going on to explain, “I really like that tension in him of someone who can take care of business, but is also preternaturally aware of the people around him.”

It’s not just the male characters we find ourselves connecting to in Roth’s worlds. Elegy is formidable as she figures out what she believes and wants in Seek the Traitor’s Son, and many of us fell in love with Tris’ development throughout the Divergent series. These women can tackle problems without becoming Mary Sues, and I wanted to understand how Roth finds balance in that.

“I don’t think I always have a plan, so it feels important from the start to have rules,” Roth admitted, “A rule I set for myself with Divergent is that Tris would always have agency, which is not what real life is like for a teenager. I think reading about a teenager who controls their destiny, even if they’re leading to their own downfall, is very interesting.”

While she’s no longer as strict about things as she was during the Divergent series, it is something she still thinks about, and much of that stems from the female characters she read growing up.

“I would read these female characters who were passive and just being ferried along by the narrative. I just prefer something else. I want them to be flawed, because the character doesn’t have to be perfect in order for you to like them.”

Of course, the big news for Divergent fans is that there is a new duology coming up, starting with The Sixth Faction. This is an alternate universe, and Roth wouldn’t delve too much into the spoilers, just sharing that Tris “makes a different choice that’s not what you would expect.”

While some may claim that Roth is simply going back to something that makes her money, it’s got nothing to do with that. I got to ask Roth about why she chose to revisit the world of Divergent, and a lot of it is to do with the negativity she’s received over the years, admitting, “I took that to heart, and maybe not everyone would, but I’m an anxious person.”

“My strategy of ignoring them in order to protect myself was not working,” She continued, “So I thought a better way to deal with it would be to lighten the load, and the best way that I knew how to do that was to make something new in an alternate universe.”

There is another layer to it, though. After all, writing the novels was a positive experience for her, and she wanted to “enjoy Divergent again, and celebrate it.”

The first Divergent book was her debut, and it quickly put her on the map of authors to read. It would go on to be developed into movies starring Shailene Woodley and Theo James, and it’s a world that many readers are still exploring, and it’s time for Roth to “feel more positive about it.”

Don’t expect more after this. There probably won’t be more alternate universes where Tris chooses each faction — even though, arguably, she could — but never say “never.”

As I had the Seek the Traitor’s Son audiobook queued up on my Spotify, ready to go after the interview, we also chatted about the development of the audiobook, which Roth shares is “a totally different art form.”

Yes, she had some say in who did the voices for this audiobook, the same with others.

"Whenever they send me the email asking what I think about the voices, I send the most detailed description of what these characters sound like. My audiobook producer is very patient with me,” Roth went into explaining the development process, “Generally, when you listen to an audiobook adaptation of your work, you’re listening to someone else’s interpretation, and it expands your understanding of what you wrote. In Seek the Traitor’s Son, they sound exactly like I thought they would. It’s spooky.”

There was a serendipitous moment with the audiobook creation. After around 10 different auditions for each character, everyone agreed on the same actors. The fates did not divide.

Seek the Traitor’s Son is now available in stores and on audiobook platforms. The Sixth Faction is slated to be released on October 6, 2026.

Most filmmakers dream of premiering at Cannes. Mark Fischbach (better known online as Markiplier), the YouTube career gaming personality with 38 million subscribers, walked into the festival this week and proved a point about where that career is going.

On May 17, Fischbach appeared on a Deadline-moderated panel at Cannes and announced that Iron Lung, his self-funded sci-fi horror feature, will begin streaming exclusively on YouTube on May 31. Not Netflix. Not Amazon. Not Apple TV+. YouTube, the platform where he built everything. 'I'm pretty loyal to it,' he told the panel.

That loyalty has now turned into one of the more remarkable stories in recent Hollywood history. Iron Lung, based on David Szymanski's claustrophobic 2022 indie horror game, opened in theaters on January 30 with practically zero traditional marketing. Fischbach spent roughly $4 million of his own money making it, starred in it, directed it, edited it, and promoted it almost entirely through his own social media ecosystem. By the time the theatrical run wound down, it had earned more than $50 million worldwide, over 12 times its budget.

What makes the success even stranger by Hollywood standards is how completely outside the system it happened. Fischbach reportedly launched the movie without a traditional distributor and initially expected it to play in only a few hundred theaters. Instead, fan demand exploded online, helping expand the film into thousands of theaters worldwide, including major chains like AMC, Regal, and Cinemark.

The film follows a convict named Simon, sentenced to navigate an ocean of blood on a desolate alien moon in a deteriorating submarine called the Iron Lung, after a catastrophic event known as the Quiet Rapture erases nearly all life in the universe. It is, by design, intensely claustrophobic and weird, exactly the kind of film that traditional distribution models tend to shy away from.

Fischbach has said that atmosphere was the entire point. In interviews earlier this year, he explained that adapting the game was less about recreating gameplay and more about preserving the suffocating tension and uncertainty that made the original such a cult favorite. He also revealed the production stretched across nearly three years because he was filming mostly on weekends while still running his YouTube channel, podcasts, and clothing business.

The production itself became part of the movie's mythology. Reports from the set claimed Iron Lung used more than 80,000 gallons of fake blood, with Fischbach even ending up in the hospital at one point after getting some in his eyes during filming.

Fischbach's decision to take the streaming rights back to YouTube, bypassing every conventional platform, is a bold statement as much as it is a business move. He has repeatedly argued that online creators are still not taken seriously by Hollywood despite building audiences larger than many traditional media brands. In earlier interviews, he described financing Iron Lung independently as a way to maintain creative control and demonstrate that creators with direct fan relationships may no longer need the traditional studio pipeline.

He has also said he hopes the release becomes a blueprint other YouTube creators can follow; not just for making movies, but for owning them.

At Cannes, Fischbach confirmed he plans to step back from filmmaking for at least a year. His wife, he said, has earned some of his time back after the years-long grind of making Iron Lung. But he also made clear this is not the end of his directing career. 'Next year I'll be working on something,' he teased. What that something is, he still isn't saying.

The nostalgia runs deep with this one. We can remember driving through East Texas on our way to Grandma’s house in Louisiana listening to the smooth, polished chords of Judy Rodman’s “Until I Met You.” A glossy Nashville track that fuses soft-rock warmth and deeply personal lyrics, the song defined mid-’80s country music radio. And today, we’re listening to it on repeat because it’s Rodman’s 75th birthday and we can’t think of a better gift to give.

Rodman, a singer, songwriter, and national treasure, released “Until I Met You” in April 1986 and by mid-July it had climbed to the top of Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart. Off her debut album, titled Judy, the song helped propel her even further into the mainstream, as the Academy of Country Music awarded her Top New Female Vocalist the year before.  

As the first artist signed to MTM Records, Rodman scored several Top 10 hits. Her self-penned “Until I Met You” was her only single to hit the pinnacle as a recording artist, but as a songwriter she achieved another a decade later with 1996’s “One Way Ticket (Because I Can),” performed by LeAnn Rimes and co-written by Rodman and Keith Hinton.

Other radio favorites sung by Rodman include “She Thinks that She’ll Marry,” “Girls Ride Horses Too,” “I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight,” and “A Place Called Love.” Rodman fans hold tunes like “You’re Gonna Miss Me When I’m Gone,” the anthemic “The One Who Loves Her Wings,” and her gospel-tinged cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water” in high regard. 

As for her songwriting oeuvre, those hits include Diamond Rio’s “Demons and Angels,” Tammy Wynette and Wynonna Judd’s “Girl Thing,” and Randy Travis’ “Passing By.” There’s a lot to rediscover with Rodman.

Today, the award-winning singer-songwriter is based in Nashville and writes for contemporary musical theater, collaborating with Darren Butler and scoring standing ovations in the process. Calcium is a crucial nutrient for bone health, making it important to do what you can to fit it into your day. But while most healthy American adults need 1,000 to 1,200 milligrams of the essential nutrient daily, more than 40% fall short.

Milk tends to be the go-to calcium-rich drink, and with good reason: One cup of the drink offers 306 milligrams of the nutrient, putting you well on your way toward getting your calcium intake for the day. 

But not everyone enjoys milk or can even tolerate dairy. That doesn’t mean you can’t get calcium from your diet, though. “Milk is a great source of calcium, but it is not the only one,” says Keri Gans, RD, author of The Small Change Diet.

In fact, Cording points out that many other great sources of calcium are non-dairy, opening calcium up to everyone, regardless of dietary restrictions.

6 High-Calcium Drinks To Support Bone Health That Aren't Milk1. Fortified soy milk

While exact calcium counts vary, this non-dairy alternative is often a good source of the nutrient, according to Sonya Angelone, RD, PhD, a former spokeswoman for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and a San Francisco-based dietitian. “Most soy milks have calcium added to closely match the calcium in dairy milk,” she says. (A cup of soy milk will give you about 202 milligrams of calcium.) 

In fact, Gans says that soy milk is “often nutritionally closest to cow’s milk,” because it serves up calcium, vitamin D and protein. Just be sure to shake the carton well before pouring yourself a glass or adding it to other drinks. “The calcium can settle to the bottom of the carton,” Angelone says.

This is a drinkable dairy option that’s different from milk. “It’s like a drinkable yogurt,” Cording says. “Kefir also retains more calcium than Greek yogurt.” If you have trouble tolerating milk, but are willing to try another form of dairy, Cording suggests reaching for kefir. “It’s about 99% lactose-free,” she says. “Many people who don’t tolerate many other dairy products find that they tolerate kefir.”

Worth noting: One cup of kefir offers 316 milligrams of calcium, which is more than a cup of milk. Kefir is also rich in probiotics to support gut health, Gans points out. If you want to maximize the health benefits, Angelone suggests reaching for plain kefir. “It is often better than the flavored one, which usually has added sugar,” she says.

3. Fortified orange juice

Many commercial orange juices are fortified with calcium and vitamin D, both of which support bone health, Gans says. Depending on the brand, you could get 300 milligrams of calcium in a cup of fortified orange juice. 

But drinking orange juice alone can lead to blood sugar spikes and crashes. “Pair it with a protein and fat to prevent this,” Cording says. She suggests reaching for things like eggs, Greek yogurt or avocado toast to balance things out. 

4. Fortified almond milk

Almonds are one of the highest calcium-containing nuts, making this a good bang for your buck. One cup of fortified almond milk can contain around 482 milligrams of calcium, depending on the brand. “Almond milk can be high in calcium if fortified,” Gans says. (However, she points out that this drink is usually lower in protein than dairy or soy milk.)

Something else to consider, per Angelone: “Almond milk tends to be low in calories, as long as it does not contain added sugar.”

5. Pre-made nutrition drinks

There are plenty of pre-made nutrition drinks and shakes you can pick up in stores, and their calcium content varies. “Look for options that provide at least 20% of the daily value of calcium, are a good source of protein, and have less added sugar,” Gans says. 

Angelone calls these drinks a “convenient way to get calcium.” She just recommends reading the label first.

6. Smoothies with tofu

Tofu is a secret calcium powerhouse, with one cup delivering 861 milligrams of the nutrient. You can add this to smoothies to sneak in nearly an entire day’s worth of calcium, Cording says. “Texture-wise, it makes smoothies creamy,” she says.

You’ll just want to balance out that tofu with plenty of flavor-rich ingredients like berries. Otherwise, the flavor may not be palatable.

Other Ways To Get More Calcium in Your Day

In a perfect world, Gans says you’d spread calcium-rich foods and drinks throughout your day. Angelone agrees. “Pair calcium with vitamin D, since vitamin D enables calcium absorption in the gut,” she tells Parade. 

It’s also helpful to choose fortified foods—just make sure to read the label first to ensure you’re on top of how much calcium you’re actually getting, Angelone emphasizes. 

If you’re concerned about your calcium intake or feel like you’re just not getting enough, Cording suggests talking with your healthcare provider. They should be able to test your calcium levels and recommend next steps from there.

Eric Clapton's sweet 1977 song "Wonderful Tonight" is among one of the most romantic tunes released by a rock artist. Despite its lasting popularity, the song never reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts. However, during the week of July 15, 1978, the tune, which depicts a moment from Clapton's relationship with his ex-wife Pattie Boyd, did reach the 16th spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

Boyd mentioned "Wonderful Tonight" during a 2018 interview with Harper's Bazaar, alongside Taylor Swift. According to Boyd, she had taken her time before an event and was worried she had upset Clapton, whom she divorced in 1989 after 10 years of marriage. To her surprise, Clapton revealed he had written a love song about her while he was waiting.

"I came downstairs with trepidation thinking [Eric] was going to be so angry that I’d taken far too long, and instead he said, 'Listen, I’ve just written this song,'" recalled the model while speaking to Swift.

Swift shared she was delighted by the story, stating, "That is so incredible to me."

Sometimes a song that reaches the top of the charts will become obscure within a year or so. The publication Far Out spotlighted some once-relevant tunes that haven't exactly remained timeless by releasing a ranking of "the 10 biggest one-hit wonders in pop music history."

The list, published in May 2026, included songs such as 1982's "Come On Eileen" by Dexys Midnight Runners, "Somebody That I Used to Know" by Gotye from 2011, and Wheatus' "Teenage Dirtbag," released in 2000. According to the publication, the top pop one-hit wonder is Chumbawamba's "Tubthumping" from 1997.

Dunstan Bruce Spoke About the Success of 'Tubthumping' in 2022

Chumbawamba frontman, Dunstan Bruce, discussed the song's success in a 2022 interview with TODAY. While speaking to TODAY, Bruce theorized the reason "Tubthumping," which touches on themes of resistance, became so beloved.

“It’s quite a simple message, but I think that’s why it works. And it applies across the board to different sort of situations. I don’t think we realized at the time how clever we were being or whether that was, in retrospect, we thought, ‘Oh, yeah, that’s like a really universal message and it works really well.’ Some people in the band would regard it as a happy accident, me included," said Bruce during the 2022 interview.

The combination is exactly what it sounds like: Panera’s creamy mac and cheese mixed with turkey chili into one rich, comforting bowl. Employees and longtime customers have been talking about the hack for years.

The easiest way to order it is by getting both the Mac & Cheese and Turkey Chili, either separately or as part of a You Pick Two, then mixing them together yourself.

The creamy cheese sauce mellows out the chili while adding a thicker, almost casserole-like texture. Meanwhile, the chili gives the mac and cheese extra smokiness, protein and flavor. The result tastes hearty, messy and exactly like the kind of accidental comfort food combo an employee would come up with during a long shift.

3. Pizza Bagels

Panera employees have apparently been turning the chain’s bagels into makeshift pizzas for years, and it feels like something the restaurant could easily add to the menu tomorrow. The hack usually starts with an Asiago or plain bagel sliced into halves, then topped with pizza sauce, mozzarella and pepperoni before getting toasted.

Some employees online also mentioned adding chipotle aioli, cilantro, garlic sauce or extra cheeses to customize them even further, while others compared them to miniature flatbread pizzas.

Mixing creamy tomato soup into mac and cheese has become one of the most popular unofficial Panera food hacks online. Some people even call it “spaghetti” because the tomato soup transforms the mac and cheese into something closer to a creamy pasta sauce.

The hack itself is simple: order both items and stir them together yourself. Most people recommend using a smaller amount of tomato soup so the mac and cheese stays thick and creamy instead of turning overly soupy. This is probably the least guaranteed item on the list, but it may still be possible at some locations willing to experiment.

What to Know Before You Order

None of these are official Panera menu items, so success can really depend on the location, the employee and how busy the café is when you order.

Something simple like swapping sandwich bread for an Asiago bagel will probably go over a lot smoother than asking the kitchen to build a custom pizza bagel during the middle of the lunch rush.

It also helps to describe the actual modifications instead of calling something a secret menu item. There’s a good chance the employee has never heard the online nickname for whatever hack you’re trying to order, even if the ingredients themselves are easy enough to put together.

Either way, Panera’s customization options make it one of the easier chains to experiment with if you like playing around with off-menu food combinations.

Paul Simon may have millions of followers, but the music legend is in hot water with Elvis Presleyfans.

Simon, 84, who came to prominence with Art Garfunkel as the iconic duo Simon & Garfunkel, went down in music history with tunes like “The Sound of Silence,” “Mrs. Robinson,” and “America.” While Simon also had a successful solo career that spans decades and continues despite recent health issues, he recently sat down for an interview on Alchemy with Anthony Mason. He shared some bold beliefs about Presley, whose music he adored in his earlier years.

“As I say, I liked [Elvis] up to [the year 1957],” Simon shared, PEOPLE reported. “And after that, when, you know, the material that he picked, and the movies, and everything was just, to me, an incredible waste of a great talent.”

Simon started by saying that he loved Presley's music in the early years.

“My early favorites were Elvis,” Simon told host Anthony Mason, noting that first on his list came anything related to rhythm and blues. “Then came Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry, the Everly Brothers. Those were the people I really loved.”

Simon added that while he occasionally liked some of Presley's music after 1057, he wasn't really inspired by it.

“When I first started to listen… as I look back and I do look back, for me the big years that influenced the sound that I still go for occasionally, it's like '54 to '57,” Simon shared. “And after that, I still like things, but I didn't derive anything from them. I didn't take any sounds from stuff…as I was concerned, really by '57, I'd lost interest in Elvis Presley.”

Back in March, Simon pulled from his Simon & Garfunkel archive for a performance at the 10th Annual LOVE ROCKS NYC Benefit Concert for God’s Love We Deliver at the Beacon Theatre. The track, which was originally released on September 21, 1992, is currently sitting at the No. 8 spot on Billboard’s Rock Streaming Songs chart, a list that ranks the ongoing streaming success of all songs within the genre. "Creep" is among the oldest tracks occupying the upper echelons the chart, attesting to its unique ability to endure long after its original era.

The song is currently enjoying a multi-week stay in the top 10 of the rock chart, adding to its over 200 total weeks of charting time across various Billboard metrics. The song's modern resurgence is primarily driven by virality on social media, with the major catalyst being TikTok. The app, which launched in 2018, utilizes short audio soundbites from all types of entertainment mediums to power user-generated, meme-based content.

TikTok has become a massive driving force in the modern music industry, with artists frequently promoting their work on the app in hopes of going viral. However, new releases are not the only songs making it big on the platform. In fact, many oldies have experienced massive chart revivals after trending on the app, including "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac, "Kiss of Life" by Sade and "Running Up That Hill" by Kate Bush.

Currently, Radiohead's "Creep" has been featured in hundreds of thousands of individual user videos. Combining the data for just the top two trending "Creep" audios, the track has been used in over 577,400+ clips.

Alongside its social media takeover, the song has also been prominently featured in high-profile Hollywood projects. Some of these recent placements include Scott Beck and Bryan Woods' 2024 thriller Heretic, James Gunn's 2023 blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and the trailer for Chris McKay's 2023 horror-comedy Renfield. The British new wave rock band The Curehas produced quite a few hits over the last few decades. One of their most enduring classics is the band's 1979 single, "Boys Don't Cry." The song served as inspiration for the title of the 1999 movie, Boys Don't Cry, which stars Hilary Swank, who played a fictionalized version of Brandon Teena. Swank ended up taking home the Oscar for Best Actress for her Boys Don't Cry performance at the 2000 Academy Awards.

Despite its long-lasting success and cultural impact, "Boys Don't Cry" never topped the Billboard charts. According to Far Out magazine, the 1986 re-recording of "Boys Don't Cry" eventually secured the number 22 spot on the UK Singles Chart.

In a 2023 interview with Consequence, founding Cure member Lol Tolhurst discussed recording 1979's "Boys Don't Cry." He explained that he and his then-bandmates, which included Robert Smith and Michael Dempsey, were inspired by punk bands like Buzzcocks that were producing pop songs.

"We had heard bands like Buzzcocks and loved the fact that they were writing songs that were punky but were also, like, you know, great pop songs. And pop songs weren't a bad word to us," said the musician, now 64.

He then said that Smith showed his bandmates a rough version of "Boys Don't Cry" while they were rehearsing for a 1977 festival.

"We had rehearsed either the night before or that afternoon. And Robert had presented us with what became the basis for 'Boys Don't Cry,'" said Tolhurst.

Tolhurst said that Dempsey immediately liked the song.

"It had something. It had a different feeling, and it was powerful. It was a pop song, but it was a powerful pop song," said Tolhurst in the 2023 interview.

Tolhurst recalled that they decided to play the song at the festival and those in attendance had a positive reaction to it.

"We thought, 'Okay, that's good. That's a good direction to go in. That's something positive.' It wasn't our first single that came out for us. But it was indicative of what we could do, write something that's plaintive but catchy. That was a good sign for us," said the musician.
