‘Great British Bake Off’ Host Alison Hammond Shows off 150-Pound Natural Weight Loss on the Red Carpet

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 4:02pm

Great British Bake Off host Alison Hammond has been putting in the work to get healthy, and she's looking better than ever after dropping 150 pounds naturally.

Hammond, 51, joined the cast of the beloved baking competition in 2023 and instantly won the hearts of viewers across the globe with her tremendous sense of humor and genuine kindness. But as her time on the series has gone on, it's become clear that Hammond has slimmed down significantly. That's why it was shocking to see the beauty hit the red carpet at the UK BFI Screening of Bridgerton Season Four Part Two at BFI Southbank in London, England, looking more svelte than ever. Dressed in a leopard print gown with a scoop neck and princess sleeves, the fan favorite showed off her dramatic weight loss and stunning smile.

Her Incredible Transformation

In 2020, Hammond had a discussion with her mom about her weight shortly before her mother passed away.

“Mum said to me: ‘If you can, sort out your weight, Alison,’ and that really set it in my head. My mum had type 2 diabetes, and she was worried for me, so when I then found out that I was pre-diabetic, that was frightening,” Hammond told Good Housekeeping.

Hammond got to work focusing on her health and decided to be more careful with sweets and fatty foods. She started seeing a personal trainer twice a week and does home workouts, including weights, walking, and stretching. Now, she's no longer pre-diabetic.

Deciding to Skip Weight Loss Injections

While many celebrities decide to use Ozempic or other popular injectable drugs to achieve the weight loss they desire, Hammond decided that option just wasn't right for her.

"I think that, for people who need to use them, they’re a good thing - but for me, as soon as I hear any scare story, I get frightened," Hammond continued. "So I haven’t wanted to use them, but that’s not to say I wouldn’t in the future, and I certainly wouldn’t look down on anyone who did."

No. 1 Movie in North America Could Be First to Hit $100 Million in 2026

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 3:55pm

A story about a young goat named Will is taking over the box office.

It was announced on Monday by Rotten Tomatoes that the new animated movie, Goat, took the No. 1 spot at the box office, making $17 million this past week. The sports comedy has now reached $58.3 million domestically after 10 days in movie theaters, making it the second-highest-grossing film of 2026 so far. Goat is projected to surpass $90 million in domestic earnings, with a potential $100 million milestone that would make it the first film of the year to reach that mark.

Released on Feb. 13, Goat (Caleb McLaughlin) follows Will Harris, a goat who had the opportunity to join a professional league of "roarball" — an intense, violent and full-contact version of basketball — but gets ridiculed by his teammates who are much bigger and stronger than him. The film also stars NBA superstar Stephen Curry, Aaron Pierre, David Harbour, country pop singer Jelly Roll and Nicola Coughlan.

This sudden surge from Goat came as a surprise, as many expected that Emerald Fennell's highly-anticipated film, Wuthering Heights, released on Valentine's Day, would be the first movie of the year to reach $100 million. The drama opened at No. 1 at the box office with a $32.8 million debut weekend, but momentum dropped the following week, with the film falling 56.8% to $14.2 million.

An adaptation of Emily Brontë's novel of the same title, Wuthering Heights, starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, follows the intense and destructive love between Heathcliff (Elordi) and Catherine Earnshaw (Robbie) in Yorkshire, North England during the 18th century. Though the film generated strong buzz in the weeks leading up to its release, it failed due to many critical reviews and significant plot changes from the original novel.

Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi attend the "Wuthering Heights" Australian Premiere at State Theatre on February 12, 2026 in Sydney, Australia.

Goat is expected to hit Netflix on June 13, following its theatrical run. Meanwhile, an official date for Wuthering Heights has not been announced, but Forbes is predicting the film would be available to rent on platforms such as Apple TV or Prime Video anytime between March 17 and April 7, while a streaming release on HBO Max is expected between May 9 and 19. This prediction is based on the typical 75-85 day theatrical window Warner Bros. films adhere to before releasing movies on streaming platforms.

Both Goat and Wuthering Heights can be seen in theaters nationwide.

How Paul McCartney Responded to John Lennon's 'Yesterday' Insult

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 3:52pm

Beatles fans will get to watch Paul McCartney look back at his solo career in the documentary, Man on the Run. Of course, he'll address the tense moments with his bandmates, like when John Lennon claimed the only thing he did was "Yesterday."

Paul McCartney addresses suing The Beatles

"How Do You Sleep?" has Lennon's jab at McCartney. "The only thing you done was ‘Yesterday’/And since you’re gone you’re just another day," he sang. The tension came from McCartney suing the bandmates because they hired manager, Allen Klein against his wishes. "Basically, John had hired a manager who I didn’t like. I saw through it. The way things were going, Allen Klein would just swallow up all the Beatles’ fortune," McCartney said in the documentary, according to PEOPLE.

"'The only thinking you did was ‘Yesterday’ was apparently Allen Klein’s suggestion," he said. "But in the back of my mind, I was thinking, ‘If all I ever did was ‘Yesterday,’ ‘Let It Be,’ ‘Long and Winding Road,’ ‘Eleanor Rigby,’ ‘Lady Madonna’... F--- you, John. How do I sleep at night? Well, actually quite well.’"

Lennon addressed the dig in 1980, according to American Songwriter. "It was like Dylan doing ‘Like a Rolling Stone,’ one of his nasty songs," he said. It’s using somebody as an object to create something. I wasn’t really feeling that vicious at the time, but I was using my resentment towards Paul to create a song. Let’s put it that way. It was just a mood."

McCartney's lawsuit successfully distanced himself from Klein. The documentary will focus on the legends' time with the Wings with his wife, Linda McCartney. Fans will listen to different versions of his songs and some are already available to stream on Amazon.

Man on the Run will be released on Netflix on February 27.

'American Idol' Contestant's Taylor Swift Cover Draws Mixed Criticisms: 'Really Wasn't Made for a Guy to Sing'

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 3:50pm

Taylor Swift’s latest nod on American Idol is drawing mixed reviews after viral TikTok shower singer Bryant Thomas took on her beloved Evermore track, “Champagne Problems.”

The 26-year-old earned a Golden Ticket to Hollywood Week and a fiancée all at once, as he dropped to his knee and popped the question to then-girlfriend Alyona immediately after earning the approval of the judges. However, his first performance following his audition has earned mixed feedback from viewers—especially hardcore fans of the Eras Toir superstar.

A popular update account dedicated to the songstress, The Swift Society, shared the snippet from this week's edition of the ongoing competition series on X, showing the singer decked out in a very countrified look, from his mullet to his camo shirt with the sleeves ripped off paired with denim cut-offs.

His raspy voice put a surprisingly rock-inspired sound to the track, though it didn't always sound matched up to the more laidback instrumentals that accompanied him, creating a dissonance that feels unintentional. While some fans loved his vibe and the energy he put into the performance, others were decidedly "not a fan of this cover."

— The Swift Society (@TheSwiftSociety) February 24, 2026

While many weren't too enthralled with the rendition, they still appreciated his energy.

One admitted that while they were "not a fan of this cover," they still "like the song," and another Swiftie agreed, "a mess but we cheered."

"obsessed with his commitment to the bit and energy," another applauded, while other, more harsh critics, begged, "Never let him cook again please omg."

"u didn't have to update us on this," someone else quipped at the poster.

However, others pointed out that the "song really wasn’t made for a guy to sing," not to mention that many of Swift's compositions "are really hard to sing in these types of shows" because they tend to be very "wordy," which leaves those tackling them "fight[ing] for their lives running out of breath."

It makes it a difficult task, and some felt that Thomas was actually "kinda cooking" with "champagne problems the country version."

Plus, even Swift has her off days, and Thomas earned high praise from Carrie UnderwoodLionel Richie and Luke Bryan during her first appearance on the show.

“Your voice is outrageous,” Underwood said at the time. “You can feel so much emotion and life in your voice, so well done.”

“I think we’ve got a hit record here,” Richie added, noting, “You’ve got star-power vocals.”

You Won't Believe the Surprising Cooking Item Margot Robbie Says Makes 'Steak Better Than Any Restaurant'

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 3:45pm

Although you couldn't tell based on the blanket of snow piling up in the Northeast right now, grilling season is just around the corner, and that means it's time to start outfitting our backyard with everything we need to grill and chill this summer. Whether you're a certified pit master known for making the best brisket in town or you're a novice grill dad who prefers to stick to burgers, there's nothing quite like enjoying food cooked over an open flame—grill marks non-negotiable. Of course, when it comes to choosing the right equipment for the job, it can be tough to determine what you do and don't need.

Do you necessarily need a double-wide smoker big enough to fit an entire roast pig? Probably not, but it can't hurt to have something that can do multiple grill jobs without taking up an entire section of your backyard. Whether you're looking to make legendary smoked mac and cheese, mouthwatering pizza or an award-winning rack of ribs, you can't go wrong with a Big Green Egg. It's decidedly compact, endlessly versatile and according to Margot Robbie, it makes "steak better than any restaurant."

That’s right, the beloved egg-shaped ceramic grill recently received a cosign from the Margot Robbie not once, but twice. The infinitely charming, award-winning actress has been making the rounds to promote her newly released film, Wuthering Heights, and outside of absolutely slaying the red carpet and hitting the late-night circuit, she's also made time to appear on a few podcasts to share her thoughts on everything from what inspired her to start acting to renting cars from sketchy characters as an up and comer in the biz.

As if she weren't already endearing enough, the Saltburn producer stopped by SmartLess with Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes for an hour-long conversation about what ultimately led her to become the household name she is today. Aside from musing about being a hockey fan and sharing that her favorite movie as a kid was The Fifth Element, she also dished about her husband's skills on the Big Green Egg and even went so far as to joke, "It's his other mistress."

After being asked by Jason Bateman what "knocks her off balance," because she seems so charming (as expected), Robbie replied that she isn't charming when she's hungry, which is almost all the time. Her husband, Tom Ackerley, even playfully calls her "Dragoon" when she gets hangry—and honestly, it makes us love her even more. When it comes to what he likes to whip up on his prized Big Green Egg, according to Robbie, he can cook a really mean steak, and if they were having guests over, he'd make an entire spread.

Big Green Egg

In another appearance on the Table Manners podcast with Jessie and Lennie Ware, Margot dished that beyond making legendary steaks, when it comes to entertaining, her husband loves to make lamb kebabs with a variety of chili jams all on the Big Green Egg. "He'll crawl into bed at 3 a.m. sometimes, and I'll smell like I'm like, 'You've been with the Egg, haven't you?'" At least it's a tasty love affair. When it comes to her own culinary skills, on the other hand, Margot shared that "she's never found that zen space in the kitchen."

Luckily, when you're an in-demand multi-hyphenate like Margot Robbie, cooking is the least of your worries. Despite her personal aversion to spending hours alone with the kamado-style grill, we can totally relate to her husband's borderline obsession with the Big Green Egg. It's one of the most versatile outdoor cooking essentials you'll ever own, and thanks to the vast array of sizes it comes in, you can choose one that perfectly fits your needs. Best of all, a batch of chargrilled oysters or perfectly smoked chicken wings sounds so much better than the jellied fish aspic from Wuthering Heights—unless you're into that sort of thing.

Vintage '60s Soda Is Officially Back in Stores — And Shoppers Are Racing to Find It

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 3:40pm

Tahitian Treat Fruit Punch Soda is officially making its way back to store shelves after a long hiatus. But can you find it?

The beloved fizzy beverage, which first launched in 1964 (originally marketed as Canada Dry Tahitian Treat), is now owned and manufactured by Keurig Dr Pepper—and it's making a grand comeback, per reports.

According to All Recipes, the fruit punch-flavored, caffeine-free sip has been spotted at some Dollar General locations, with shoppers on Reddit even claiming they drove "over an hour" just to get their hands on it earlier this month. One such user shared a photo of a cart filled with three 12-packs of Tahitian Treat, causing others to chime in on the find. "i hardly drink sodas, but by far my favorite! $9 a piece," they captioned the upload.

"I can’t buy cases of this. I won’t drink anything else until it’s gone. Zero self control around this pop 😅 this and big red are my favorite," one admitted in the comments thread, while another called it "the best soda" and a third added, "Yummm blast from the past."

"I'm jealous! One of my favorites," a separate person exclaimed.

Someone else reported of the drink, "I loved it. My boss originally bought it back in 1992 and I have loved it ever since. Your right is definitely ice cold and sugary. Being diabetic I can drink once a month."

More Reddit users dropped comments like, "Worth it! It was special if we were able to get those when I was a kid. Still love it," "I can drink that all day ! Haven’t seen that in ages," and "I remember them being like Hawaiian Punch in a pop can. Very underrated."

As for specific flavor profile, one drink reviewer described it as "heavy on the cherry flavor with a little bit of orange, tasting like maraschino cherries."

Currently, the beverage is known to be somewhat hard to find, though liters (vs. cans) seem to be available online for shipping via retailers like Amazon and Walmart. In 2016, Vice even called it a "much-loved but impossible to find soft drink."

Why the Guthrie Family Didn’t Offer a Reward Sooner, According to a Source

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 3:30pm

Savannah Guthrie announced that her family is offering a $1 million reward for anyone who supplies information that leads to the recovery of her mother, Nancy Guthrie. On Tuesday, Feb. 24, Savannah posted a video on social media sharing the family's decision to up the reward money. So far, the FBI has offered $100,000 and an attorney from Milwaukee offered another $100,000. The total reward for the return of Nancy, dead or alive, sits at $1.2 million.

Shortly after Savannah shared the update, NBC News reported that the family actually wanted to offer a big reward early on, but were advised not to.

"The Guthrie family was prepared to offer a cash reward from the beginning of the investigation, but they were advised that doing so might overwhelm the infrastructure set up to field leads, according to a source close to the family," the outlet reported.

NBC News' source also said that the family consulted with law enforcement before offering the reward, which can be split if more than one person comes up with valid information that leads to Nancy. Moreover, the source said that the money "does not hinge on an arrest," the family simply wants closure in this case, one way or another.

Luke Combs Shares Why He Won’t Use GLP-1 Drugs Amid Weight-Loss Journey

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 3:30pm

Luke Combs is offering fans a candid look at his weight-loss journey.

During the Tuesday, Feb. 24 episode of The New York Times’ “Popcast” podcast, the country star opened up about his fears that his appearance could negatively impact his career.

“One of my biggest fears is like, man, maybe I don’t get a shot just because of the way I look,” Combs said. “You know what I mean? And like, that was a hard pill to swallow, because you can’t really change the way you look.”

"I have always struggled with my weight," he continued. "It bugs me a lot that I can't figure it out. I don't want my life to be this life of like ease and, like, everything's easy. I like when stuff's hard."

When asked if he would try new "medical technology" to lose weight—seemingly referring to GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy—Combs gave a surprising answer.

“That stuff scares me more than I would enjoy the benefits,” he said. “I feel like I’ve never done anything hard in my life, like, I’m not out digging ditches, man, like it’s not that hard of a job.”

Combs concluded, “It’s just been, like, this impossible nut to crack for me. And I will do it, but I’m not going to do it the short way. And not that there’s anything wrong with that. That’s personal for you. I need to win, like, I need to beat myself.”

“Obviously, I’ve been working real hard on this record for a long time, and I’ve got this lead single coming out. I’m just jazzed, man. Good day. Great day to be alive,” Combs said via a video on his Instagram Stories at the time.

“Kid’s down 30 lbs. Lot of hard work. Lot of missed cakes on birthdays. But anyway, I just wanted to say that I’m real thankful for you guys, I’m real thankful for this next phase of whatever the music is or turns into,” he added.

The singer has also shared that becoming a father has changed his perspective on weight loss. Combs and his wife Nicole are parents to three boys: Tex, 3 Beau, 2, and newborn Chet.

Ellen Hughes Addresses Backlash Over Trump's Remarks About Team USA Women's Hockey Team

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 3:22pm

Ellen Hughes, mom to Team USA hockey players Jack Hughes and Quinn Hughes, is speaking out about President Donald Trump's disparaging comments on the Team USA Women's hockey team.

Ellen, who is the player development coach for the women's team for Team USA, is addressing a video that surfaced in which Trump extended an invitation to the men's team but then said, "I must tell you, we’re going to have to bring the women’s team." Trump then joked, "You do know that. I do believe I’d probably would be impeached [if the women’s team wasn’t invited]."

The men's team, including the Hughes brothers, quickly came under fire for laughing at Trump's comments as well as celebrating their gold medal finish in the locker room with FBI director Kash Patel.

The women's team declined the invitation to the State of the Union which takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 24.

Ellen sat down with the Today show on Tuesday, Feb. 24 to discuss the controversy. She said in the interview that "at the end of the day, it's just about the country."

"These players, both the men and women, can bring so much unity to a group and to a country," Ellen added. "People that cheered on that don’t watch hockey, people that have politics on one side or on the other side, and that’s all both the men’s team and the women’s team care about."

She concluded with, "If you could see what we see from the inside, and the men and women sharing, you know, dorm rooms and halls and flex floors and the camaraderie and the synergy and the way the women cheered on the men and the way the men cheered on the women — that’s what it’s all about. And the other things they cannot control. They care about humanity. They care about unity and they care about the country."

Earlier in February, Busfield, 68, pleaded not guilty on four counts of criminal sexual contact of a child—all third-degree felonies. It came after the Albuquerque Police Department (APD) issued an arrest warrant for him on Jan. 9, alleging that he engaged in unlawful sexual conduct with twin actors, 11, after they met on the set of The Cleaning Lady. One of the victims was 7 when the alleged incidents began.

Busfield turned himself in to the police on Jan. 13. That day, he also denied all allegations against him in a video obtained by TMZ.

“They’re all lies, and I did not do anything to those little boys, and I’m gonna fight it,” he stated. “I’m gonna fight it with a great team, and I’m gonna be exonerated, I know I am, because this is all so wrong and all lies.”

Gilbert, 61, broke her silence on her husband's arrest by publicly supporting him. She also attended a detention hearing of Busfield on Jan. 20, when he was granted release on his own recognizance as he awaits trial.

If you or someone you know has been a victim of sexual assault, help is available 24 hours a day through RAINN‘s National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-4673.

Martin Short's Kids Faced Tragedy in 2010: How His Beloved Wife Nancy Dolman Died

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 3:15pm

Martin Short's daughter, Katherine, died on Feb. 23, nearly 16 years after the death of her mother, Nancy Dolman.

Katherine, one of Short's three children with his late wife, was found deceased inside her home in Hollywood Hills in the early morning hours on Monday, according to an initial report from TMZ. Law enforcement told the outlet that Katherine had died by suicide.

🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬

Over 15 years prior to her death, Katherine—along with Short and the rest of their family—faced tragedy when Dolman, the actor's longtime wife and mother of their three children, died of ovarian cancer in August 2010. She was 58.

Short and Dolman had been married for 36 years, during which they adopted three children together. Katherine, their oldest, was adopted shortly after her birth in December 1983. She would later joined by her two brothers Oliver and Henry, who were adopted by Short and Dolman after their respective births in 1986 and 1989.

At the time of Dolman's death, Katherine was 26 years old, Oliver was 24 and Henry was 21.

Short previously said in 2012 that it had been a "tough two years" for his kids after losing their mom. Speaking to the Guardian, he said at the time, "This is the thing of life that we live in denial about, that it will ever happen to us or our loved ones, and when it does you gain a little and you suffer a little. There's no big surprise."

But the Only Murders in the Buildingactor later reflected on a sweet moment he shared with his three kids after Dolman's death, recalling on The Meredith Vieira Show in 2014, "[Nancy] had once said to me, 'I don't want a funeral and I don't want a memorial. Throw a party, or not.'"

"She just was so irritated that she was losing this battle, she didn't want to think about it," he explained. "So I just followed her wishes. We went up, we had a party with about 30 close friends and family. She was cremated. The kids and I went into a boat, we sprinkled the ashes into the water, and we jumped into the ashes."

The wilderness home acts as Hollander's private retreat during the off-season, and not only does it feature fan-favorite Shane and Ilya moments, but it also generated one of the most quotable moments from the show. In episode five, when Hollander is in the hospital due to a rink injury, the drugged-up hockey player asks Rozanov if he will come to his cottage for the summer, resulting in this iconic quote:

"Will you come to my cottage this summer? Don't go to Russia, come to my house, we will have so much fun. It is so private, no one will know. We can have a week or even two! We will be completely alone together!"

While Rozanov initially rejected the offer out of fear, Kip and Scott's public relationship "hard-launch"—another gay couple featured in the show—inspired him to take the chance, resulting in the pivotal line: "I'm coming to the cottage." This is the exact dream fans will get to live out after booking their stay.

'80s Legend, Ranked 'Best Action Movie Star,' Became the Face of American Film

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 3:00pm

"It's not the years, honey, it's the mileage."

In a listicle published by Consequence this past summer, the publication named the "30 best action movie stars of all time." The list featured many iconic actors and actresses, including Angelina Jolie for her role as Lara Croft in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Nicolas Cage, Will Smith and more, but this action star was crowned the top spot.

Harrison Ford, 83, best known for his iconic roles as the title character in the Indiana Jones series and Han Solo in the Star Warsmovies, was named the best action movie star.

"Harrison Ford's epic career has laid the framework for not just a modern action star, but the modern movie star in general. He's charismatic while being stoic and strong, always brimming with comedic potential and frequently delivering dialogue like it's coming directly from his own thoughts," Paulo Ragusa of Consequence wrote. "Ford is the definition of a commanding lead, someone who can carry and entire franchise as a reliable, lovable hero, which he's pretty much done several times over in the last 50 years."

Harrison Ford attends the "Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny" UK Premiere at Cineworld Leicester Square on June 26, 2023 in London, England.

Regarded as a cinematic cultural icon and one of the most popular American actors, Ford has starred in many films over his 70-year acting career and is among the highest-grossing actors in the world. He made his film debut in 1966 in small roles in American Graffiti and The Conversation, before achieving global stardom for portraying Han Solo in the Star Wars franchise, as well as the titular character in the Indiana Jones franchise from 1981 to 2023 and Rick Deckard in the Blade Runner series from 1982 to 2017.

He is also featured in various movies such as The Mosquito Coast, Working Girl, Sabrina, Air Force One, The Age of Adaline, The Call of the Wind, as well as TV shows like 1923 and currently Shrinking, where he earned a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Dr. Paul Rhoades.

"It's a treat to watch him kick [explicit], but like the best of Star Wars and Indiana Jones suggests, he also brings plenty of emotional depth and dogged sincerity to whatever action role he's assuming," Ragusa concludes. "Whether he's demanding that you get off his plane, give him his family back, or get those goddamn snakes away from him, Harrison Ford is always convincing and compelling. We're lucky to have him."

Beloved TV Icon, 80, Reminds Fans of His First Role in a Classic Sitcom Guest Spot

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 2:59pm

A beloved television icon sparked a wave of nostalgia among fans after sharing a poignant throwback to his earliest days in Hollywood, writing, “My first TV appearance in Hollywood” alongside a cast photo that underscores just how much time has passed since that humble debut.

Henry Winkler, 80, is best known for his role on Happy Days, but his career started at an earlier time when he landed a guest role on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. On Monday, Feb. 23, Winkler reminded fans that he was on the show, re-sharing a photo of the main cast members, including Mary Tyler Moore, Betty White, and Ed Asner, all of whom have died.

For those that might not remember Winkler's small role on the hit sitcom, he played Steve Waldman, Rhoda’s (Valerie Harper) coworker whom she brought as a date to a dinner party hosted by Mary Richards (Moore). The episode aired in 1973, during the show's fourth season.

A few fans remembered the scene well.

"I remember. You were a party guest at one of Mary's disastrous parties. You were [Rhoda's] date I think," one person responded to Winkler's post.

"It's one of my favorites - Mary's dinner party disaster! Too many people in her teeny apartment, not enough Veal Prince Orloff & you & Rhoda sitting waaaay over by the windows," someone else said.

"I remember! And Lou ate half the salmon," a third comment read.

"I remember that. You were great. Rhoda's date to Mary's party," a fourth X user added.

About a year later, Winkler brought the Fonz to life.

'The View' Co-Host Alyssa Farah Griffin Shares New Baby Photos: 'Full Heart'

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 2:58pm

Alyssa Farah Griffin is basking in her newborn baby bubble.

The View co-host, who welcomed her baby boy, Patrick, on Feb. 10, took to Instagram on Tuesday with a new batch of photos showing some behind the scenes of her new mom life.

"Full heart" she captioned the carousel of pics that included photos from her at the hospital, as well as sweet photos of her dog, and her and her husband Justin, snuggling their newborn.

The post garnered tons of comments with well wishes and congratulatory messages from her followers.

"This makes me so happy! How wonderful!" one wrote.

"Congratulations!! So happy for you both. Enjoy every moment," added another.

"So so so happy for you both," a third said.

Griffin started her role as co-host on the morning talk show in 2022. She's currently on maternity leave, and in her place the show plans to welcome a rotation of guest co-hosts including former View panelists Abby Huntsman and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Last week, Savannah Chrisley sat in Griffin's spot where she occasionally ruffled feathers among the panel, which includes Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines.

However, her time on the show ended on a high note with good vibes from the co-hosts.

“I just want to thank you all for giving me a voice and allowing me to sit at the table and believe totally differently, but have conversations that are hard and respectful," she said. "And it’s the moments off-camera that people don’t get to see to where we really do have more in common than we are different.”

And while there was always a plan for the 36-year-old to take leave after having her baby, her exit from the show was a bit more abrupt than expected, as she was at the hospital as an episode of The View was airing.

“She’s at the hospital right now!” Goldberg told the studio audience at the time “And we are wishing her the best as she waits for her baby boy to arrive.”

This week, author and political commentator Amanda Carpenter is filling in for Griffin.

All three flavors are available at retailers nationwide in single, share size, and sharing stand up pouch sizes, but if you’re looking to get them directly from the company, good luck– the lemon meringue pie flavor is no longer available for purchase

The Ultimate ‘Love Is Blind’ Global Power Ranking: Which Version Actually Delivers the ‘I Do’?

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 2:50pm

Fans of Netflix’s beloved dating experiments have moved on from asking "Is love blind?" to "Which country does it better?" As we navigate the 2026 streaming landscape, the Love Is Blind franchise has expanded into a global empire. The pods are currently open in more territories than ever, with Love Is Blind: Sverige Season 3 set to premiere on March 12, and the eagerly awaited Love Is Blind: Polska confirmed for a May 2026 debut with hosts Zofia Zborowska-Wrona and Andrzej Wrona.

But the expansion doesn't stop in Europe. Netflix has officially confirmed the franchise will make its African debut with Love Is Blind: South Africa later in 2026, while Love Is Blind: Netherlands is set to arrive with hosts Nicolette van Dam and Bas Smit. With Love Is Blind: UK locking in an August 2026 return, we’re ranking the franchises by drama, fandom, and who is actually still together in 2026.

1. Love Is Blind: Italy (L'amore è cieco: Italia)

The Verdict: Passion, pasta, and the franchise's new Main Character.

The Tea: Premiering in December 2025, the Italian version took the world by storm. Hosted by celebrity power couple Benedetta Parodi and Fabio Caressa, the show brought a level of cinematic romance that the US version lacks. By the February 2026 reunion, three couples were still standing, making Italy the current reigning champion of "amore."

View this post on Instagram 2. Love Is Blind: Japan

The Verdict: The gold standard in emotional maturity.

The Tea: Though it only ran for one season, its legacy is unmatched. It gave us the gold standard of couples in Ryotaro and Motomi , who are still happily married and raising their son. Its quiet, respectful intensity remains a sharp contrast to the Western versions.

View this post on Instagram 3. Love Is Blind: UK

The Verdict: Polished, polite, and surprisingly romantic.

The Tea: The Brits proved you don't need a wine-glass-throwing brawl to keep viewers hooked. Season 1 favorites Bobby and Jasmine welcomed their son in December 2025. With Season 3 confirmed for August 2026, the UK version is the franchise's rising star.

View this post on Instagram 4. Love Is Blind: Sweden (Sverige)

The Verdict: The surprise MVP of genuine connection.

The Tea: Stockholm holds the record for the highest marriage-to-divorce ratio. While Season 2’s Karolina and Jakob recently broke hearts with a February 2026 divorce, couples like Nathalie and Wictor are expecting their first child this April. Season 3 officially premieres March 12.

View this post on Instagram 5. Love Is Blind: USA

The Verdict: The undisputed legacy franchise.

The Tea: The original remains the benchmark for pop culture relevance. Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton welcomed their first son, Ezra William, in October 2025. Season 10 concludes March 4, and the fandom discourse has never been louder.

View this post on Instagram 6. Love Is Blind: Habibi (UAE)

The Verdict: High-glitz, higher stakes, and the International Emmy-nominated MVP.

The Tea: This International Emmy-nominated version proved that love can cross cultural boundaries. While many couples struggled with family approval, Safa and Mohammed became the franchise's most iconic "Golden Couple," currently expecting their first baby in early 2026. Season 2 returns later this year with new hosts Wissam Breidy and Rym Saidi.

View this post on Instagram 7. Love Is Blind: Mexico

The Verdict: The most unexpected — and viral — pods to date.

The Tea: If you like your reality TV with a side of "explosive," this is it. It produced a solid success story in Karen and Fernando, who recently celebrated Valentine's Day 2026 by sharing their joint business ventures.

View this post on Instagram 8. Love Is Blind: Germany

The Verdict: Wholesome vibes with a rom-com payoff.

The Tea: Season 2 (wrapped January 2026) saw Josy and Gunnar, and Jessi and Konstantin stay married. In a touching update, Jessi and Konstantin revealed they navigated a major health crisis together post-filming, proving their "blind" bond was built to last.

View this post on Instagram 9. Love Is Blind: Brazil (Casamento às Cegas)

The Verdict: The chaotic energy we crave.

The Tea: Season 4 featured a more mature cast, and favorites Renata and Alexandre are expecting their first child in early 2026.

View this post on Instagram 10. Love Is Blind: France

The Verdict: Parisian cynicism meets romantic tradition.

The Tea: Premiering in late 2025, the French version brought a stylish, skeptical energy. Season 1 couples are currently navigating their first year of marriage under the spotlight. No lasting marriages resulted from this season; all couples separated after the weddings due to various factors, including lifestyle incompatibilities and poor communication.

View this post on Instagram 11. Love Is Blind: Argentina

The Verdict: A heartbreaking look at Love After the Altar.

The Tea: Despite several high-profile splits in 2025, the show was a ratings powerhouse, leading to a Season 2 renewal expected for late 2026. As of early 2025, post-reunion reports for Love Is Blind: Argentina's first season indicate a complete lack of stable, ongoing, or healthy marriages among the featured couples. Even those who initially exchanged vows have since either separated or experienced significant relationship issues.

View this post on Instagram 12. Love Is Blind: Netherlands & South Africa

The Verdict: The wildcards of 2026.

The Tea: Both versions are currently in production. Netherlands arrives later this year, while South Africa will mark the franchise's first foray into the African continent.

Rock Legend Scored His First No. 1 Album 52 Years Ago by Recording in Secret with a Little Help from His Friends

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 2:46pm

By the mid-‘60s, Bob Dylan had become the most influential singer-songwriter of the rock era by combining folk music with rock ‘n’ roll.

His songs were covered by top folk act Peter, Paul & Mary and his music influenced such rock icons as the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix, who famously recorded his “All Along the Watchtower.” Yet despite his influence, Dylan had yet to experience the chart-topping commercial success of those acts.

His landmark 1965 album, Highway 61 Revisited, peaked at No. 3 on the album chart, while his 1968 “comeback” album, John Wesley Harding, spent four weeks at No. 2 but was unable to unseat the Beatles’ Magical Mystery Touror Paul Mariat’s Blooming Hitsfrom the top spot.

Dylan, however, would eventually go onto top the album chart, but it would take a change of record companies and a collaboration with some old friends to do it.

By 1973, the singer-songwriter found himself a free agent after his contract with Columbia Records, from whom he had scored eight top 10 albums, expired. Record executive David Geffen swooped in and offered Dylan a verbal deal to record for his Asylum Records label. The album would turn out to be Dylan’s first formal recorded collaboration with the Band, his former backing group and a star attraction in their own right with three top 10 albums to their credit.

The album, to be titled Planet Waves, would be Dylan’s first new recording in nearly three years, and it came together quickly. Initially, Dylan and the Band were rehearsing in Malibu, Calif. for a forthcoming tour when they decided to move to the Village Recorders in West Los Angeles and cut an album of new material.

“The guy that was managing the studio was also one of Dylan’s accountants,” engineer Rob Fraboni said in an interview for The Billboard Book of Number One Albums. “He offered them a secrecy situation where nobody would know that they were there. Based upon that, they came in.” Fraboni, the chief engineer at the studio, was scheduled to work on another project, but found the combination of Dylan and the Band too much to resist.

From left to right: Rick Danko, Robbie Robertson, Levon Helm of the Band, and Bob Dylan.

The sessions were conducted in an extremely loose and improvisational manner, with the Band naturally following Dylan’s lead. “They had been rehearsing together before, but when they went into the studio, the Band probably only knew about four of the songs,” recalled Fraboni. “What was incredible was that they were so in tune with Bob, such great musicians, and so intuitive, they were able to basically just watch Bob’s hands on the chord changes and play along. It might have taken a take or two for them to learn the songs, but these were songs that they had never played before.”

One such song was “Forever Young,” which appears on the album in two different versions. “Bob said to me that he had carried this song around in his head for several years and he had never written it down, and now he wasn’t quite sure how to record it,” Fraboni said. As a result, five different versions were cut. The slow version, which ended up closing side one of the album, was recorded in one take. Ken Lauber played congas on the track, although he is not credited on the sleeve. “I remember sitting behind the board thinking, ‘My God, I’ve never witnessed anything like this in my life,’” Fraboni said. “The sheer, emotional intensity and musicianship was amazing.” After the track was complete, all of the musicians, including Dylan, piled into the control room for the playback. “At the end, no one said a word and everyone kind of wandered out of the control room,” Fraboni added.

Planet Waves entered the chart on Feb. 9, 1974, at number 19. A week later, it shot up to the top, finally giving Dylan that elusive No. 1.

The album continues to have an impact on musicians today. Scott McCaughey, who has played with R.E.M. and fronts the Young Fresh Fellows, the Minus 5, and the Baseball Project, recently posted the album’s cover art on the Minus 5’s official Instagram account.  “This one sounds pretty good this morning. One more cup o’ coffee…,” he wrote in the caption.
