Little House on the Prairie star Melissa Gilbert just revealed an "amazing" coincidence she discovered about her birth mother.

On Wednesday, May 27, the former child actress who played Laura Ingalls Wilder in the original historical drama series took to Instagram with a cool tidbit of information that connects her to her birth mom.

Gilbert, 62, was adopted by actors Paul Gilbert and Barbara Cowan one day after she was born to her biological parents, Frances Catherineanne (Cathy) Wood, a dancer, and David Darlington, a stock car racer and musician.

In her post, Gilbert explained that she learned from a biological cousin that her bio mom also started performing at a young age.

"This was part of my birth mom, Cathy’s, engagement announcement to her first husband, a man named Leslie R Mullins," she captioned the post. "I’m guessing he is the father of my three older half siblings who I am now one teeny step closer to finding."

Gilbert continued, "Anyway, there’s even more synchronicity here…she was a performer who started as a child! She was 3 1/2 at her first professional performance. I was two when I did my first commercial. Was I ever born with the right set of genes and then adopted by the exactly perfect family. This is so amazing."

In the snippet from her bio mother's engagement announcement, it read, "The bride-to-be has appeared on many programs in Los Angeles as well as elsewhere in Southern California. She made her dramatic debut at the age of three and a half when she was made honorary colonel of Will Rogers Post 539 of the American Legion."

Gilbert has previously opened up about her birth parents, including the story of how she came to be placed for adoption.

"They were each married to other people and had three children each, and ran off together, and conceived me on a motorcycle trip in the desert," she told her Little House on the Prairie costar, Patrick Labyoreaux, during a July 2025 interview on his podcast. "And then they left their spouses for each other, and got married after, pregnant with me, and moved all the kids in so that I was number seven. So the decision was made to put me up for adoption."

Little House on the Prairie aired for nine seasons from 1974 to 1983.

From the red carpet to the pool, Jennifer Lopez knows how to set the internet on fire.

The singer and actress, 56, took to Instagram while celebrating the Memorial Day weekend and showed off a series of fun photos, including a shot of her in a white string bikini as she soaked up the sun by the swimming pool. With a cocktail and her cell phone by her side and a straw hat on her head, the legend revealed her washboard abs and famous curves.

Hey, little sister, what will you be doing this summer? If you're a Billy Idol fan, the correct answer is buying tickets to see him in concert.

The 70-year-old rock icon added 17 shows across the US in August and September for the summer leg of the "It's a Nice Day to... Tour Again!" tour, which was announced on April 7. The tour kicks off in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on August 7 and ends in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on September 22.

On Wednesday, May 27, Idol also revealed that a handful of special guests would be joining him for the special dates, writing on Instagram, "'It’s A Nice Day To…Tour Again!' continues this summer and I’m excited to share that we’ve added @clubdevo @susannahoffs @villanellemusic and @grocerybag.tx to the tour 👊🏼 see you all out there soon!"

The tour dates follow Idol's energetic performance at the American Music Awards on Monday, May 25, 2026. The "Mony Mony" singer was honored that evening with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Idol took the stage on Monday night to play "Eyes Without a Face" and "Dancing With Myself" alongside his longtime guitarist, Steve Stevens.

During Idol's speech, he told fans, "When I started out in punk rock back in 1976, we thought it may last about six months, let alone 50 years! We were doing it for the love and because music was the only thing that gave us a sort of feeling of freedom."

Idol was then presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by Leon Thomas, marking what has become a monumental year for the British rocker. Earlier this year, he and his guitarist were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026.

He's also been on tour since April 2025, with the first stop in Phoenix, Arizona, on April 30, 2025, when he co-headlined with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.

The legacy of the Muppets is deeply ingrained in the fiber of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, back to its opening in 1989 (look up the never built Great Muppet Movie Ride, you’re welcome). So, it’s only fitting that they’re finally getting their long overdue respect and representation (in my humble opinion) in a big way with the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, now open at Walt Disney World. 

And with a lore so deep, the attraction is rich with Easter eggs in the form of memorabilia, props and more that pay homage to former attractions (hello, Muppet*Vision 3D) and various television and film specials. 

Inside the reimagined "G-Force Records" building, the ride’s queue and pre-show are treasure troves of hidden details. In fact, there’s over 100, making the pre-riding experience just as thrilling as the coaster itself. For fans, it’s a fitting love letter to the beloved characters from Walt Disney Imagineering and The Muppets Studio. 

“It’s been an honor to figure out how to take the classic Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster attraction, which we want to honor and pay tribute to, and all the magic of the Muppets’ history in the park and put it together,” Dani Iglesias, creative director of The Muppets Studio, tells PARADE. “But also, do something new, because nobody really wants to walk through a museum.”

Upon entering G-Force Records, you’ll pass a curated gallery case. Here, you’ll find a recreation of Kermit’s banjo from “The Rainbow Connection.” The original is sitting safely inside the Walt Disney Archives and was donated by The Muppets Studio.

You know it, you love it. It’s affectionately called “Rat Pizza” and fans of the Muppets are still mourning the closure of Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ PizzeRizzo, the legendary quick service pizza joint inspired from the lovable Rizzo the Rat. Throughout the attraction, there’s several homages, including a branded pizza box in the pre-show and a “Now Hiring!” flier near the loading area. There’s also a PizzeRizzo apron in the queue and a towering neon sign during the roller coaster portion.

How about some backstage passes?

Fans of Aerosmith may be a little salty towards this refresh but don’t worry, there’s several homages to the original attraction, including script in the pre-show inspired by the very iconic lines from the Aerosmith version (“you know how we feel about our fans”). Also in the pre-show scene, you’ll find the “black Les Paul” from G-Force Records. And near the loading zone's queue for the front row, look for a small display case with fliers, including one referencing the line “make it a super stretch?”

Near loading within a Great Gonzo display, you may spot the very same Mona Lisa portrait that once hung in Mama Melrose’s, the former Italian table service restaurant that closed to make way for the park’s new “Monsters, Inc.”-inspired land.

Have you seen a lost bunny?

Muppet*Vision 3D was a beloved film-based attraction that marked Jim Henson’s final project before his passing. And the iconic attraction lives on with references throughout this new ride. Near the loading zone in the ride’s single rider queue, you might spot a missing persons’ flier for the “Lost Bunny,” a.k.a. Bean Bunny, an integral character in the much-missed attraction.

The Great Gonzo

One of the most famed props from Muppet*Vision 3D, the Great Gonzo’s cannon, played a major role in the attraction, famously blasting Swedish Chef. It’s now found a new home in the coaster’s queue, and you’ll spot it just before the loading zone in a section honoring the Great Gonzo himself.

The fan-favorite Muppet Mobile Lab, which has previously called Disney California Adventure, EPCOT, and Hong Kong Disneyland home, sits adjacent to the coaster's loading dock (and it's the real version!). The free-roaming, audio-animatronic is a creation from Walt Disney Imagineering, featuring Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker as they spontaneously interacted with park goers. (Bring it back Disney, pretty please).

The original, opening day name of the theme park was Disney-MGM Studios, and it’s quietly paid tribute within the attraction. Near the PhotoPass area at the end of the ride, you’ll spot a vintage spotlight engrained with MGM.

Also at the end of the attraction, you’ll want to look back towards the coaster and up. Here, you’ll spot the portrait of Jim Henson that was originally hung in the pre-show of Muppet*Vision 3D.

American Idolwinner Hannah Harper won her Golden Ticket to Hollywood with an original song she wrote about postpartum depression called “String Cheese,” and it made her an early favorite of judge Carrie Underwood, but also America.

She later performed another original, “Married to This Town,” which she co-wrote, but she exclusively explained to Parade why she prefers solo writing.

“Writing is like speed dating,” Hannah said. “You go in, you meet people, and you have to hurry up and tell them all about yourself. So when we got [to Nashville], they were like, ‘What's your name, where you from?’ and I was doing all the things, I said, ‘I wasn't born into that town. I was married into it.’ He was like, ‘That's our song.’”

So, Hannah and Nashville songwriters Scott Stepakoff and Chris Mackey stopped sharing personal information and wrote that song, and it was fine, but it made Hannah realize that she prefers writing alone, because the whole speed dating aspect of it doesn’t really give her enough time to get to know someone on a level that is conducive to the kinds of songs she wants to write.

“I want to write songs that are sentimental and mean a lot to me, so maybe writing alone is what I prefer unless it's with a group of people that I write with consistently,” she continued. “If I found a couple of people that I wrote with and wrote with them long term, I think I would really enjoy it rather than we're going to put you with these people and then over here, and then over here. It's a relationship and it's somewhat intimate, so I want to be able to maintain the sentimental establishment of the song and how it's written.”

And speaking of sentimental songs, Hannah says she has had a song in the works for a long time that she wants to dedicate to her husband Devon Mendenhall, but finding the words has been difficult.

“That has been in the works for so long, but it just feels like words aren't enough if that makes sense,” Hannah explained. “I have like six verses, different tunes, none of them have been finished, so I'm hoping that now that we're out of [American Idol], because that put us to the test. We were both so exhausted mentally, physically, all the things, so it definitely needs to happen and I know that it will. It's just it's one of those that I feel like I can't even begin to scratch the surface on a love song that is ours.”

Some people may think that “Married to This Town” is a song dedicated to Devon, but it’s not.

“It was influenced definitely by our relationship, but it's not as much of a love song for him; it's more of a love song about the town, so I'll get there,” she said. Then added, “He needs a whole catalog of songs, but as I said, it just doesn't feel like I can ever put words to even scratch the surface of what he means to me.”

Also on the songwriting agenda for Hannah are songs inspired by her Idol experience.

“Being there definitely sparked a lot of creativity, but I didn't have any time to slow down and put pen to paper, so I haven't written anything since I've been in the competition,” she said. “It was more so just developing who I wanted to be as an artist rather than songwriting. That was my focus. Now that I'm out, I'll definitely be writing some songs about it. There's a lot more Mama songs. I don't know if I need to just hold on to those and do a full album one day, or like trickle them in throughout, but yeah, there's so much to be said about the Idol experience. But as I said, time hasn't slowed down long enough for me to focus and even try to put it into words.”

Bernie Sanders Wants to Pay Families $12,000

According to Newsweek, Sanders has been sharing his idea as part of a push for more progressive candidates to take up economic reform to address the wealth inequalityplaguing the nation.

Sanders is working with Representative Ro Khanna on the idea, which was submitted to the House of Representatives as part of the Make Billionaires Pay Their Fair Share Act. If passed, the bill would:

• Include a direct payment of up to $12,000 to qualifying families
• Institute a higher tax for billionaires
• Mandate investments in programs that support working-class families, including education and healthcare

"What we are talking about is not radical. What is radical is when so few have so much," Sanders was quoted as saying. "It is not radical to say that we should not have the highest rate of childhood poverty of almost any nation, and that so many of our seniors live in economic despair."

Who Will Qualify for Payments

According to Sanders' website, the bill would mandate $3,000 direct deposits to every family member living in a home, as long as they make less than $150,000 a year. The bill applies to every single family member, meaning the frequently cited "$12,000 for a family of four" on Sanders' website is simply illustrative math, not a hard legal cap on larger households.

"At a time of unprecedented income and wealth inequality, this legislation demands that the billionaire class in America finally pay their fair share of taxes so that we can create an economy that works for all of us, not just the 1 percent,” Sanders said in a statement on his website. "We can no longer tolerate a corrupt tax code that enables billionaires to pay a lower tax rate than the average worker."

The suggestion comes at a time when others are seeking new ways to support working-class families, including Jeff Bezos, who recently proposed that people shouldn't be forced to pay income taxes if they earn less than a certain amount. Whether any of these ideas will gain any real momentum with lawmakers remains to be seen, but for now, it's clear that something has to be done to help support these families, especially as the costs of everything continue to rise with no clear end in sight.

Gayle King is looking back on the moment she discovered her husband was cheating on her with a close friend.

King, 71, appeared on the Wednesday, May 27, episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast with Alex Cooper and reflected on the moment in 1990 when she returned home after a flight was canceled, only to discover that her then-husband, William G. Bumpus, was having an affair. To make matters worse, the woman was in her home at the time.

“The alarm was set, which I thought, ‘That’s strange, because you’re in here by yourself,’” King said. “You’re a big ass, grown ass man. He never sets the alarm. And next thing I know, he comes flying out of the room and he’s got a towel on," King shared.

Her husband told her “there’s somebody in" the house, so she started searching to find out who it was, "oblivious" to what he was telling her.

“I didn’t believe him,” she noted. “I get down and there they are — or there she is cowering behind the door in my towel. It was a nice bath sheet... I said, ‘I can’t believe that you are here and that you are doing this.’”

The children were outside with their nanny and clueless about what was happening inside.

“I was thinking, ‘The kids are here, I don’t want anybody to know,’” said King. “That was my main thought, ‘I don’t want anybody to know.’ That would not happen to me today.”

The Warning Signs

When it comes to signs that her marriage was in trouble, King shared that she was "happy."

“You know how they say the wife always knows? I swear to God I did not. I did not,” she said. “It’s not like we hadn’t had arguments or anything, but I didn’t think that it was such disrepair that he was boinking around.”

However, there was a moment between her then-husband and the woman he cheated with that made her think twice.

“I always say if I was writing a book, the first line in my book would be, ‘Whack,’ the sound of a tennis ball. She said, ‘Nice shot, Bill.’ The way she said it, there was such an intimacy in her voice,” King shared. “The hair stood up on the back of my neck and I thought, ‘Why am I feeling that way?’ It was weird.”

The couple, who share two children, divorced in 1993.

Former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony has once again shared his thoughts on a potential band reunion to honor the passing of legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen. The bassist opened up during a March 20 appearance on the Trunk Nation podcast hosted by Eddie Trunk, directly addressing his perspective on the matter.

Eddie Van Halen died on October 6, 2020, following a long battle with cancer. Since then, past band members and prominent guitar peers throughout the industry have proposed various memorial events, though none have officially materialized. When asked about his current stance, Anthony admitted he has zero interest in launching a full reunion tour, but he could easily be swayed by a tribute show to honor the guitarist's towering legacy.

“Yeah, any guitar player or musician could put together a tribute to Eddie, but it would be great, ’cause the rest of us are still here, if anything could happen with us all being involved too, being we were all in the band," Anthony shared. "But who knows? I mean, I’m not gonna sit there and knock on the door all day long, but if somebody knocks on my door and it’s something that sounds like it could be very cool... Like I’ve said in interviews, not a tour, whatever, [but] a couple of giant shows maybe, or maybe one on the East Coast, one on the West Coast, whatever, and just a full-on tribute and thank you to the guy who fricking opened up guitar and took it to the next level.”

Anthony added that he is certain many notable guitarists in the industry would jump at the chance to participate in a show if a formal event were organized, emphasizing the collective appreciation for the late musician's undeniable impact on rock history.

“I guarantee any guitar player who’s any guitar player would wanna come and be a part of it, and I think that would really be the amazing thing right there," he said. "‘Cause I, obviously, know plenty of guitar players… and they all would be chomping at the bit to come up and jam, do a couple of songs.”

The bassist closed out the discussion by affirming that while there is no official expiration date on a memorial event, if it is ever going to happen, it needs to take place sooner rather than later to accommodate the health and performance capabilities of the band's former lineup.

“Obviously it can be done, but time’s not running out yet, but it’s getting thin for all of us other members to be involved actively in doing something,” he explained. “Because I definitely would love to be part of something like that.”

For 10 seasons, viewers have been watching Ben and Erin Napier breathe new life into historic homes on their HGTV hit Home Town. But according to the pair, the biggest transformation isn’t what happened inside the houses at all—it’s the larger impact the show has had on their hometown of Laurel, Mississippi.

During a recent interview with Parade, the Napiers reflected on how dramatically Laurel (a finalist in Parade's 2026 America's Favorite Small Towns contest) has changed since the show first premiered a decade ago. 

“It’s incredible to see how many out-of-state license plates are parked in every parking lot now,” Erin shared. “People come here looking for something. They’re looking for a slower way of life. They’re looking for community."

That desire for a taste of a slower pace, according to the couple, has transformed Laurel into something of a real-life small-town fantasy for Home Town fans, complete with friendly shop owners (both Laurel natives and new residents who moved cross-country after seeing the show), bustling local businesses and residents who go out of their way to welcome the influx of visitors.

“People here just want to be helpful,” said Erin. "I hear stories of people we know, friends of ours, [saying], ‘I saw somebody walking down 5th Avenue and they looked kind of lost, so I just pulled over to ask if they need anything.” 

The changes go far beyond tourism. According to Laurel Main Street, a preservation and economic growth organization in town, downtown Laurel has added 44 new businesses and nearly 150 new jobs in the last five years alone.  

“We have an art gallery in downtown. We have a frame shop in downtown,” Ben said, adding that the city has also welcomed restaurants, specialty shops and entrepreneurs who relocated to Laurel.

The town is even in the midst of an infrastructure upgrade, a much-needed project that is replacing decades-old piping to suit the town’s modern expansion.

According to the couple, the local community has been supportive of the impact they've had on the town’s growth. “The shop owners downtown are our greatest welcome wagon,” Erin said. “They’re hospitable and welcoming to all of the visitors who are coming to town.” 

Perhaps the clearest sign of Laurel’s evolution? Coffee culture.

“When Erin and I got married and we moved back downtown, it was just a dream—what if one day we could get Italian food in downtown Laurel, or breakfast, or gosh, to go get a cup of coffee?” Ben recalled. “And now there are three coffee shops downtown.”

For longtime fans of Home Town, it’s the kind of plot line that underscores the sense of devotion to the series. The renovations may bring viewers in, but the sense of community keeps them watching.

Sometimes a song makes you famous, and then you get to spend the rest of your life wishing you'd never written the thing.

That's exactly what happened to Gordon Lightfoot with his hit song,"For Lovin' Me."

Released in 1966, it was the breakout hit that launched his entire career. That song’s what made Gordon Lightfoot famous. There was just one tiny problem: Lightfoot was married when he wrote it.

It was catchy, it was bold and radio stations absolutely loved it and the audience couldn’t get enough. It was the kind of hit that changes a musician’s life.

But here's the thing: Lightfoot was married when he wrote it. Not exactly a wise choice of a married man.

The song was about a man with no commitment, no loyalty, and no regrets. He'd move from woman to woman without guilt or care  — and when those women finally got over him and moved on? He'd show back up at their doorstep and do it all over again. "I ain't the kind to hang around with any new love that I found," he sang. It wasn’t so much charming as completely cynical.

It was also very cruel considering he was married.

And Lightfoot had written every word while wearing his wedding ring.

When the Words Finally Caught Up With Him

The transformation came slowly. For many years, Lightfoot performed "For Lovin' Me" because that's what you do with your hit songs. You play them. You smile through the discomfort. You take the applause.

But something changed.

"After I sang that song for a while, I asked myself, 'What am I saying?!'" Lightfoot recalled. The question really began to haunt him. He wasn't just performing words anymore. Words have weight. He was actively telling people how to be cruel to women. It was super misogynistic. He was singing a song celebrating the very thing he'd come to despise.

He didn't soften the truth. He didn't pretend it was just a product of his time. He called it exactly what he believed it was.

"I was married at the time, and it was a damn poor song to write when you're married to somebody," he said flatly. "You're basically saying, 'I'm going to hurt you now, and later when you've moved on, I'll show up and hurt you again.' That's not something I'm proud of."

Even decades after the divorce, when the woman he'd written it about had built her own life and moved forward, the shame still didn't fade. "I would sing this song and think, 'How did she ever put up with this?!'" he said. "I stopped singing it."

Here's what's incredible: Lightfoot had every reason to keep performing "For Lovin' Me." It was his biggest hit. The audience wanted it. It paid the bills. It was what people knew him for.

But by his later years, Lightfoot had made peace with the choices of his youth. "I don't need to sing that anymore," he said. "I've got much better songs now. I just perform the best ones."

As of right now, Connecticut, the lowest on the list, requires "just" $77, 627 which is still a hefty amount. While these states also have some of the highest incomes, it may be beneficial for retirees to leave for cheaper pastures.

Where Retirement Is Affordable

So, where can you comfortably retire without a high-paying income stream? These are the top 10 most affordable states by ranking according to the same study:

• West Virginia
• Mississippi
• Louisiana (but not along the coast, where insurance premiums are soaring)
• Oklahoma
• Arkansas
• Kentucky
• Iowa
• Alabama
• Kansas
• Ohio

West Virginia, the most affordable state on the list, requires a personal savings draw of only $33,223 per year to live well alongside Social Security. Meanwhile, Ohio, the most expensive state on the top 10 affordable list, requires an out-of-pocket income of about $43,914. Considering that’s a spread of only about $10,000, anyone with $50,000 a year in personal retirement income (on top of government benefits) should be incredibly comfortable.

There are many factors to consider when deciding where to spend your golden years. When Margaret Atwood confirmed that she would have a cameo on The Testaments, all eyes were on the lookout for her.

Atwood confirmed the cameo appearance would happen back when the season first premiered. She wouldn’t share when she would appear or who she would play, and that left fans excited to see how she would appear on the screen.

It looks like Atwood still gets to play someone in some sort of position of power. While she was an Aunt in The Handmaid’s Tale, she took over the role as one of the female Eyes in The Testaments. She was at the jail, escorting Aunt Lydia through to see a broken Becka, who had been arrested at the end of the penultimate episode for killing her father.

The question now is whether this appearance was worth the wait. The best thing about the cameo is that it didn’t take over from the story. It was a fun appearance that helped to keep the plot going for Aunt Lydia and Becka. In a way, that’s what makes it worth the wait, as we had something to look forward to, and it was just a small moment that fans of Atwood can appreciate.

This was also one of those cameos that not everyone noticed. After a fan took to Reddit to see if others had spotted the cameo, others shared that they had to rewatch the episode to see it. That’s how well done the cameo was to blend in with the rest of the story. Another user shared that they didn’t have Atwood being “the head of the Eyes” on their bingo card.

While it’s not clear if she is the “head of the Eyes,” she certainly held a position of authority among the women. Even Aunt Lydia wasn’t going to mess with her!

The Master of Horror, Stephen King, has given his praise for another Netflix show. This time, it's the eight-part thriller, The Boroughs, which dropped as a binge-watch on May 21, 2026.

King shared on Threads that the series is an "absolute delight," and he even said that binging all eight episodes at once is "actually worth it." It's high praise from the man who has even said that some of the adaptations of his own works have been bad.

This isn't the first series on Netflix that has been praised by The Shiningauthor. He also had high praise for The Lord of the Flies, an adaptation of the novel of the same name. This was a series he'd originally been worried about, because of his love for the 1950s novel, but in the end, he was impressed with how the series played out.

The Boroughs is a new sci-fi thriller from the Duffer Brothers. It's not connected to their hit Stranger Things at all, but it does bring a world of monsters to a small retirement community. The series already gained interest thanks to its high-profile cast that includes Geena Davis, Bill Pullman, and Alfre Woodard.

It follows members of a picturesque retirement community that are pulled together when there's an otherworldly threat trying to take the one thing that they don't have: time. The group becomes unlikely heroes of the world, as they shake off their beliefs and expectations and figure out a way to stop the creatures.

King is not alone in his praise for the new series. It currently holds a 96% approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. The popcorn meter isn't as positive, but it's still on the positive side with a 79% score. Meanwhile, it holds a 71 score on Metacritic.

While The Green Mile author didn't go into the details of what he found as an "absolute delight," others have shared that the cast helped to bring everything together. There is a lot of excitement for a second season, although that hasn't been confirmed just yet. With the hype for The Boroughs, a second season ois likely to happen.

Country singer-songwriter Ella Langley has added another major achievement to her breakout 2026 run after her album Dandelion was named the best-selling album by a female artist in the United States this year so far.

The milestone was shared by Country Wire on Instagram as Langley continues her fast-rising success during The Dandelion Tour. The Alabama-born artist has dominated charts, streaming platforms and social media in recent months thanks to the success of songs including “Choosin’ Texas” and “Be Her.”

The news arrives only weeks after Langley made Billboard history. According to Billboard, “Choosin’ Texas” stayed at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a ninth week while “Be Her” climbed to No. 2, making Langley the first woman primarily known for country music to hold the top two spots on the chart at the same time.

“Choosin’ Texas,” released through Columbia Records, continued to post strong numbers with 26.6 million official streams, 47.8 million radio airplay audience impressions, and 8,000 sales in one tracking week in the United States. The song also earned its 24th week atop the Hot Country Songs chart.

At the same time, “Be Her” became another major hit from Dandelion. The song rose to No. 2 on the Hot 100 while staying beside “Choosin’ Texas” across multiple Billboard rankings.

Langley’s second studio album Dandelion was released on April 10, 2026, after months of anticipation. The record debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and became the largest streaming debut for a country album by a female primary artist.

Before the album arrived, Langley released several promotional tracks that quickly became commercial hits. Forbes noted that the continued popularity of “Choosin’ Texas” helped boost nearly every release connected to the project.

The singer recently extended her chart history again after holding the No. 1 and No. 2 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 for a second straight week. That accomplishment moved her past artists including Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey, The Weeknd and Bad Bunny, who each achieved the chart feat only once.

Forbes also reported that Langley became only the third act ever to spend two separate weeks at Nos. 1 and 2 on the Hot 100 simultaneously. She joined Akon and DaBaby in accomplishing the rare chart run.

Outside the charts, Langley has also stayed highly active online while continuing performances on tour.

It's been just over half a decade since Paul McCartney delivered a solo rock album, but if the emerging reviews surrounding the venture are any indication, The Boys of Dungeon Lane has been well worth the wait.

With a release date set for May 29, 2026, almost all of the early reviews for the legendary Beatle's new album have been nothing short of ecstatic, with many critics calling The Boys of Dungeon Lane a nostalgic look back to McCartney's early childhood and peak Fab Four days.

The Guardian notably wrote of McCartney and his new album, "His gift for melody still astounds," while also adding, "These are songs written with real purpose and a master’s finesse

"Perhaps his approach was driven by a sense of the clock ticking," the outlet continued. "If you’re going to make an album at 83, you’d better make something that counts, which The Boys of Dungeon Lane does."

Variety shared a similar outlook to the Wings frontman's recent release, noting just how incredible The Boys of Dungeon Lane is when you consider McCartney's age.

"Superlatives are meant to be quibbled over, but here’s one that will be met with a lot of agreement: The Boys of Dungeon Lane is absolutely the best album ever recorded and released by a rock star in his 80s," Variety deemed.

As expected, the prospect of a new album from the 83-year-old McCartney has garnered widespread anticipation from fans of the music icon. Not only that, but The Boys of Dungeon Lane also includes various nods to McCartney's past and present, with several songs referencing his wife Nancy Shevell and a road trip McCartney took with his late Beatles bandmate George Harrison.

Perhaps most excitingly, the album's "Home to Us" features a duet with McCartney and Ringo Starr, marking the first time the two have sung on an album together since Dolly Parton's 2023 Rockstar (which saw the two former Beatles sing "Let It Be" alongside the country music powerhouse).
