John Oliver Reacts to Viral Arrest Photo of Former Prince Andrew
If anyone is enjoying Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's viral arrest photo, it's John Oliver.
The British-American comedian and host of Last Week Tonight with John Oliverappeared as a guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday night, where he talked about why he loves Mountbatten-Windsor's viral arrest photo so much.
The former Duke of York was arrested at King Charles III's Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, England, on Thursday morning, the day of his 66th birthday, under suspicion of misconduct while serving in public office related to his ties with Jeffrey Epstein.
11 hours later, Mountbatten-Windsor was released from the Aylsham Police Station in Norfolk, and a photo of the former Prince sitting in the backseat of a car was taken, which went viral on the Internet.

Oliver, who is a huge critic of The Royal Family, stated on Late Night that he was "so glad [the arrest] happened," while Meyers proceeded to take out the viral photo of the former Prince looking shocked in the car.
"I think it might be one of the best photos ever taken," exclaimed Oliver, who also spoke about the photo on Sunday's episode of his talk show. "You know, towards the end of the year, they do kind of a photo of the year. And it's often like a frog leaping off a lily pad, or you know, an eagle in flight with something in its mouth. Sure. Is it gonna be better than that?"

— Late Night with Seth Meyers (@LateNightSeth) February 24, 2026Oliver continued, "I would say credit to Range Rover as a car. They're doing something with their windshield. That means somehow, you can get kind of get cameras to shoot the Windsor Family at their worst moments so beautifully. That thousand-yard stare with Dr. Evil hands. There's nothing I don't love about it."
Meyers then compared the photo to "a vampire going back into the coffin," then recreating the photo himself, which caused Oliver and the audience to laugh.
"What's been so confounding about the Epstein Files is seeing people who feel they're untouchable, not being touched," Oliver concluded. I think seeing someone like that, in that position, is why I love that image so much. I think it's high art."
Late Night with Seth Meyers airs live on NBC every weekday at 12:35 am ET, then is released on Peacock the next day. Meanwhile, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver can be streamed on HBO Max and Hulu.

2017 Hit Ranked ‘Best Crime-Mystery Show’ of All Time
Netflix’s 2017 series Mindhunter has been recognized as the best crime-mystery TV show of all time. The series, created by David Fincher and based on real FBI criminal profiling, continues to captivate audiences years after its final season aired.
Mindhunter follows FBI agents Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) as they establish the Behavioral Science Unit in the late 1970s. With academic psychologist Wendy Carr (Anna Torv) supporting their work, the agents interview imprisoned serial killers to understand their behavior.
Unlike traditional crime shows, Mindhunter focuses on understanding the minds of killers, making it one of the most chilling and intelligent crime dramas ever produced, according to Collider.

From its debut on Oct. 13, 2017, Mindhunter drew critical acclaim for its meticulous storytelling and period authenticity. Season 1 received a 96% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a Metacritic score of 79, earning it spots on numerous best-of lists for 2017.
Critics praised the series for its “slow-burn” approach, focusing on psychology rather than fast-paced action.
Cameron Britton’s performance as real-life serial killer Edmund Kemper was particularly standout, earning him a Primetime Emmy nomination. Jonathan Groff also won a Satellite Award for his role as Holden Ford.
Even six years after the series ended in 2019, Mindhunter fans are holding out hope for new content. In a 2025 interview with CBR, Holt McCallany shared that David Fincher has discussed a potential return in the form of three two-hour movies for Netflix. McCallany said:
"David has to be happy with scripts. It's a big question mark, but there is a chance. The sun, the moon, and the stars would all have to align."
Despite the uncertainty, this news has reignited excitement among fans who still consider Mindhunter a masterpiece of crime storytelling.Although it ended, Mindhunter remains a reference point for crime TV shows and has helped solidify Netflix as a hub for high-quality original content. Fans are reminded why the series earned its top spot: its compelling storytelling, gripping performances and a commitment to exploring the darkest corners of the human mind.

1975 Hit Ranked Among ‘Greatest Songs of All Time' Was Just Reimagined by Ella Langley
It’s no secret that Ella Langley leans toward the traditional side of country music. She’s taken over the radio waves with her No. 1 hit, “Choosin’ Texas,” a song tailor-made for two-steppin.’
So when it comes to modern artists covering some of the most timeless songs in country music history, she’s bound to do them justice.
That’s exactly the case with her latest cover on “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain.”

Willie Nelson’s Version of the Song Went No. 1The tune, written by Fred Rose, has been rendered by many stars throughout the years, ranging from Elvis Presley to Roy Acuff. The song was first recorded by Elton Britt in 1947, but it was Willie Nelson’s 1975 version, which struck a chord with people everywhere, giving him his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
Nelson’s version, which appears on his concept album, Red Headed Stranger, also made Rolling Stone’s ranked lists for 100 Greatest Country Songs of All Time and 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, landing at No. 48 and No. 302, respectively. The song also earned Nelson a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Performance at the 18th annual Grammy Awards.
Ella Langley Shared Her Cover on InstagramGiving the country classic a female spin, Langley casually channeled the lyrics of the tune on her acoustic guitar, as seen in a social media post, uploaded to Instagram on Sunday, Feb. 22. The post also includes a series of photos and videos showcasing recent memories the star has made. (For reference, her take on Nelson’s hit appears in the third-to-last slide).
View this post on Instagram“In the twilight glow I see / Blue eyes crying in the rain / When we kissed goodbye and parted / I knew we'd never meet again,” Langley can be heard singing the poetic first verse, while dressed in a white sweater and wearing large hoop earrings. Langley didn’t show a full version of the beloved song, and she has yet to share a professional studio recording of it.
Though it’s unlikely she will include a rendition of “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain” on her next album, fans can expect more music from Langley very soon, as she is set to release her new album, Dandelion, on April 10.

1982 Hit Ranked ‘Best Rock Song of All Time’ Became a Timeless Classic
More than four decades after it first blasted through speakers, “I Love Rock ’N Roll” is still rocking harder than ever.
Joan Jett & the Blackhearts’ 1982 smash has been ranked the "Best Rock Song of All Time" by Entertainment Weekly, a fitting honor for a track that has never truly left the cultural conversation.
Originally written and recorded in 1975 by British band The Arrows, the song took on an entirely new life when Joan Jett reimagined it. After the breakup of her pioneering all-female rock band the Runaways, Jett faced an uphill battle. She recorded a solo album with her backing band, the Blackhearts only to be rejected by 23 record labels. Undeterred, she and longtime collaborator and producer Kenny Laguna released the music independently on Blackheart Records.
That gamble paid off in a major way.
The Arrows officially disbanded in 1977, leaving an opening for Jett to make the song her own. Released in late 1981, Jett's version of "I Love Rock 'N Roll" soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1982, where it remained for seven consecutive weeks. It became the defining song of her career and one of the most instantly recognizable rock anthems ever recorded.
Photo by Mark Weiss/Getty ImagesThough it may technically be a cover, Jett and the Blackhearts made the song feel original. With her jet-black hair, leather-clad presence and unmistakable rasp, Jett didn't just sing about loving rock, she embodied it.
"I think people have to understand that rock & roll is not just rock & roll,” Jett told RollingStone. "It's more than that. It can be a message sender. It is something that is powerful and strong. And it is something that can be used to fight, people have injustices, and you can declare them and fight for it."
Beyond its in-your-face message, the track's production helped cement its staying power. Kenny Laguna crafted a stripped-down but powerful arrangement built on crisp, stomping handclaps and gritty guitar chords. The call-and-response energy gives the track a chant-like immediacy, while Jett's husky, commanding vocals cut through with pure confidence.
Over the years, “I Love Rock ’N Roll” has remained a fixture in pop culture, appearing in films, commercials, sporting events and karaoke nights everywhere. Its rebellious simplicity continues to resonate across generations.
It may have started as a cover, but in the hands of Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, "I Love Rock 'N Roll" became something bigger: a battle cry, a breakthrough and now, officially, the best rock song of all time.

Kohl’s’ Trendy Boneless Foldout Sleeper Chair Is the Cozy Accent to Complete Any Room
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
You know that little awkward corner in your living room—the one that's just begging for something? It almost feels like a riddle that can never be solved, no matter how long you stare at it. You want something that actually does something, like a comfy chair for curling up with a book and a cup of coffee. But then guests come, and suddenly you wish that corner could magically turn into a place for someone to crash without feeling like you've turned your whole living room into a guest room.
It's that classic small space conundrum where you have to weigh functionality against overcrowding. You don't want a bulky chaise that makes the room feel cramped (even though chaises can be so pretty), but you also want more than just a decorative accent piece that collects throw blankets. Ideally, you want something cozy enough to sit in daily and ready to transform when friends or family stay over.
Hush Sun Boneless Foldout Chair, $104.55 at Kohl's Kohl's' Hush Sun Boneless Foldout Sleeper ChairKohl's
Enter the idea of a foldout piece that doubles as both comfy seating and a compact sleeper. Because if you can have your cake and sit in it too, why not? That’s exactly the kind of solution this Hush Sun Boneless Foldout Sleeper Chair at Kohl's provides.
The chair comes in four different colorways: dark gray, beige, navy blue and black. It's made with soft but sturdy corduroy fabric and because it's "boneless" there's no assembly required.
"Boneless" chairs and sofas are really having a moment, mostly because they just feel instantly inviting. There aren't any hard edges, stiff arms or structured frame—you can flop onto boneless furniture with abandon. If you're looking for a laid-back, low-profile vibe, especially in smaller spaces where bulky pieces can feel like too much, then this style works really well. Honestly, it's even easier than a futon.
Because here's the thing—this chair isn't fussy when you want to turn it into a bed. It simply unfolds without any metal mechanisms or extra mattress required. Everything you need is right there within the chair itself.
While the chair can easily work in a living room or den, it can also be a great little find for a kid's room, especially if they're of sleepover age. Just unfold the chair and there's an instant bed for a buddy.

This Grand Ole Opry Member Just Landed The No. 1 Most-Added Single in Country Radio
Back In January, Ashley McBryde released “What If We Don’t,” the first single from her highly-anticipated fifth studio album, scheduled for release this summer. The single moved to country radio on February 23, quickly became the No. 1 most-added song.
Ashley, who teared up as she told fans, posted, ““What If We Don’t” is the #1 most added song at country radio. That’s because of YOU. Every single one of you reading this. Thank you for listening, requesting, adding, and believing in this one!”
View this post on InstagramShe went on to say in the video, “We’ve got 75 stations. That’s the most we’ve had on any single coming out of the gate. This is huge. This is huge for me. It’s huge for John Osborne. It’s huge for my band. It’s huge for my team at Warner. It’s huge for my team at Q Prime. Thank you for the love and support. This song needed its moment and it’s getting it.”
That single was followed up by “Arkansas Mud,” with both songs part of the upcoming album, which is grounded in pillars including McBryde's journey to sobriety, growing up years in Arkansas, religious trauma, and family of origin.
The GRAMMY®, CMA and ACM award winning singer-songwriter says, “We’ve all filed an edge down here or there at someone else’s request. ‘Arkansas Mud’ is about rediscovering and re-honing those edges.”
She continues, “It takes some gumption to sing a line like ‘Romans 3 and 23, don’t you point your book at me,’ and I know a lot of that gumption comes from growing up in the woods in the middle of the Ozark Mountains.”

“Arkansas Mud," a rock-heavy, sharp-tongued track written by a trio of GRAMMY Award-winning hitmakers – McBryde, Jessie Jo Dillon, and Chris Tompkins – tackles returning to one’s most authentic self after years of shapeshifting in the name of palatability.
“Dimming your light or denying yourself causes all kinds of problems. Drinking problems, substance problems…,” McBryde shared on social media earlier this week. “Even as the chick that’s known for sticking to her guns, there are parts of me I still let slip away. I don’t mind telling you now, I tried to fill those spots with all the wrong things. And that time has passed.”
McBryde, who was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2022, performed at the storied venue on February 22. Hailed as “one of Nashville’s most reliable and sophisticated songwriters” by the Los Angeles Times, McBryde released road-worn fan favorite “Rattlesnake Preacher” in June to rapturous reception. She opened her non-alcoholic forward concept, Redemption Bar, at home on the fifth floor of Eric Church’s Chief’s in Nashville last August, paired with her Redemption Residency at Chief’s Neon Steeple through mid-2026.

This New Trader Joe's Freezer Find Brings Mardi Gras Flavor to Your Kitchen
Trader Joe's shoppers know the freezer aisle is where some of the best surprises hide, especially when a new item feels a little more special than the usual weeknight shortcut. The latest find turning heads is a frozen jambalaya ($5.49 for 16 ounces) that brings bold New Orleans-style flavor into your kitchen without requiring a long simmer or a sink full of dishes. It's hearty, colorful and feels festive—even if you're just eating dinner on a random Tuesday.
Jambalaya has always been a dish with personality. Rooted in Louisiana cooking, it combines rice, vegetables, spices and protein into one satisfying bowl. Trader Joe's version captures that comfort-food appeal while keeping things easy: heat it in minutes, serve it as a main or side and dinner is done. For anyone craving something warm, smoky and filling without going full Mardi Gras in the kitchen, this freezer find might be worth adding to the cart.

What's Inside Trader Joe's JambalayaTrader Joe's
This frozen meal starts with a base of long-grain white rice seasoned with savory spices, then layers in classic ingredients like onion, tomato, green bell pepper and green onion. The sliced andouille sausage brings smoky flavor and a little kick without going overboard on heat.
Everything comes together in a way that feels familiar if you've had jambalaya before, but approachable if you haven't. The rice soaks up the seasoning, the vegetables add texture and freshness, and the sausage gives the dish that signature richness that makes it feel like a full meal rather than just a side.
Because it's frozen, the prep couldn't be easier. You can heat it on the stovetop or pop it in the microwave. It's a practical option for busy nights when cooking from scratch just isn't happening.

Easy Ways to Upgrade at HomeWhile Trader Joe's Jambalaya works perfectly well straight from the package, it's also easy to customize depending on what you have in the fridge. If you want to make it feel more like a full Louisiana-inspired dinner, try topping it with grilled shrimp or sliced blackened chicken. A sprinkle of extra green onions or a dash of hot sauce can also wake up the flavors even more.
On the side, something crisp and fresh helps balance the richness. A simple leafy salad or green beans makes an easy pairing. You could even serve it alongside roasted veggies if you're looking to stretch the meal further. The nice thing is that it doesn't require much effort to make it feel upgraded—just a small add-on or garnish can make it feel more homemade.
More New Trader Joe's Finds to WatchIf the new Jambalaya caught your eye, it's not the only recent addition showing up in Trader Joe's "What's New" lineup. The freezer aisle and snack section both have a few fresh arrivals that could easily land in shoppers' carts.
For quick meals, shoppers are seeing options like Spicy Alfredo Fusilloni Pasta and BBQ Pork Fried Rice. These are easy weeknight dinners that don't require much prep. The Stuffed Peppers are another newer entrée-style option for anyone looking for something a little more filling straight out of the package.
On the snack side, there's a mix of sweet and savory newcomers, including Spicy Cheese Crunchies, Thai Style Yellow Curry Flavored Potato Chips and Sweet Onion Style Pretzel Twists. For dessert, the Toasted Coconut Mini Sheet Cake and Dark Chocolate Covered Crunchy Corn Kernels are already getting attention for being easy grab-and-go treats.
Even the coffee and breakfast sections have seen updates, with items like Vanilla Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate and Toaster Waffles popping up as convenient staples. As always, Trader Joe's rotates products often, so availability can vary by location.

Amanda, Nichlas and Kiri eventually discovered that the person they feared most was someone they knew intimately. During the trial, they learned that their former friend had planned and carried out assaults, kidnappings and murder while living an outwardly ordinary social life alongside them.
The betrayal left lasting questions: How could they not have seen the signs? Can you ever truly know someone? And how do you rebuild trust after discovering evil so close to home?
Amanda, a former friend of the perpetrator, said, "For years, I feared the perpetrator was still out there and that I could be the next victim. When I realised it was one of my closest friends, my world shattered. I've come to realize that even the people you trust the most can hide a dark side, and that feeling safe isn't something you can always take for granted.”
Parish priest Anna Helleberg Kluge reflected on the wider impact on the community, saying, “As a priest, I have seen how the local community was struck by fear, grief, anger and suspicion. No one knew who they could trust, and many lived with a quiet, constant fear in their everyday lives. But I have also seen small signs that the community can find its way back - that people can support one another and slowly move forward after the unimaginable.”

Tammy Slaton Reveals Shocking Blood Test Results Behind 'Mental Breakdown'
Tammy Slaton is opening up about a deeply personal chapter in her health journey, and fans of 1000-Lb Sisters are getting a candid look at what she’s been navigating behind the scenes.
After months of emotional ups and downs — and heartfelt encouragement from her girlfriend, Andrea — Slaton made the decision to seek therapy and revisit her medications with her doctors. What followed was a revelation that helps explain much of the turmoil she had been experiencing.
Following blood work, Slaton's medical team discovered her prescriptions were no longer properly aligned with her dramatically changed body.
"It was such a high dose for my bigger body, and now that I’m not so big, it was too high for my body size," Slaton shared with producers.
According to the TLC star, the imbalance had a serious impact on her mental health.
"It just kinda put me in a manic depression state and it was making me have a mental breakdown," she explained.
For months, Slaton said she felt "stressed out, overwhelmed, just every emotion possible." She also described moments where anger would completely take over.
"Whenever I got mad, I would black out and say things that wasn’t me," she admitted.
Those struggles began to ripple into her personal life, leading to tension with both her family and Andrea. Viewers saw the effects play out when Slaton skipped a family trip to New Orleans — a stark contrast to her past enthusiasm, as her brother Chris Combs pointed out. In earlier seasons, he noted, Slaton would have been the first one packed and ready.
Ultimately, the 1000-Lb Sister star's doctors made significant adjustments.
"They took me off five prescriptions that I didn’t need anymore and lowered the rest of them," she revealed.
While the changes mark an important step forward, Slaton acknowledged the transition hasn’t been instant.
"I’m still trying to get used to my new medication," she said. "So I still don’t feel like myself."
Fans can follow Slaton's journey on 1000-Lb Sisters. New episodes air Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on TLC.

Country Star Issues Blunt Response After Being Criticized for Her Appearance: ‘I’m Seething’
Lauren Alaina is speaking out after falling victim to body-shamers online.
The country music superstar, 31, who gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Beni Doll Arnold, less than a year ago, took to social media on Tuesday, Feb. 24, sharing an emotional message about the harmful effects that scrutinizing women’s bodies can have on a person’s well-being.
“I’m literally so mad right now. I’m seething,” Alaina began in her video post uploaded to Instagram. “Excuse the hair. I’m ‘momming’ today. We’ve got to change the way we’re talking about women on social media.”
View this post on InstagramThe season 10 American Idolrunner-up then went on to highlight a recent video of her performing live that circulated online and attracted numerous negative comments about her weight.
“A few weeks ago, I saw a TikTok of me up on stage singing, and all of the comments were about my weight,” she said while holding back tears. “I’m eight and a half months postpartum ....People were saying that my tour needed to be sponsored by Ozempic and just horrible things.”
Lauren Alaina Is in Recovery From an Eating DisorderAlaina, who, in previous interviews, has been open about her past struggles with body image and bulimia nervosa, shared that the recent unwanted remarks hit especially hard, given her personal history.
“It really affected me,” she said. “I am in recovery from an eating disorder that I’ve battled for a very long time. This just really upset me. And, I know better. I’m fine, but I’m also just ticked.”
She Is Seeing Other Artists Getting Criticized for Their WeightBeyond acknowledging her own healing journey, Alaina voiced deep concern over similar criticism aimed at other women, specifically, another unnamed country music artist, who is at the peak of her career.
“I just saw a video, just now — this is what has really stirred me — of a young, beautiful artist. She is really taking over the world right now, and people are commenting and saying she needs Ozempic,” Alaina said. “I mean, she is perfectly trim, and fit, very healthy, and looks amazing, and probably feels amazing, because she should. And, they’re saying that about her.”
“So, it just really ticked me off,” she continued. “I have an 8-month-old daughter, and we can’t talk about women this way. This is bull crap. If you’re a woman out there and people are commenting on your body, and saying this, myself included, we’ve gotta ignore that, and we all need to be better. This is crazy.”
Alaina is certainly not alone in her feelings, as a handful of her fellow country artists joined in on the conversation in the comments section of the post.
Martina McBride, Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild, Caylee Hammack, Ashley Cooke, and Tigirlily Gold’s Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh were some of the artists who added heart emojis and agreed to Alaina’s statements with a resounding “yes.”

Sterling K. Brown Explains Why He Believes Sharing His Sons' Photos Online Keeps Them Safe
While many celebrities may try to keep their children out of the public eye, Sterling K. Brown has made a conscious decision to make sure everyone knows who his sons are.
The Paradise actor, 49, opened up about why he chooses to share his children online during a recent episode of Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast. When Shepard brought up his desire to keep his daughters anonymous and give them a private life, Brown explained why he feels differently.
Brown, who shares sons Amaré, 10, and Andrew, 14, with his wife Ryan Michelle Bathé, said that he believes that his public persona can actually keep his children safe.
“Your children are obviously white. My children are Black. I feel like the more I put them on social, the safer they are," Brown said during the Feb. 23 episode. "Any proximity that Black boys can have to some sort of celebrity or access, I’m trying to make sure that they make it home."
While Brown does share photos of Amaré and Andrew on social media, he says he attempts to limit how much attention is on them when they're out in public. In order to give them a sense of normalcy, Brown says he often turns down photos with fans.
"If I am out with Ryan and the boys, we have a policy of no pictures. And the policy is because they deserve to have a regular night out. It’s their time," he explained. “Because Ry and I have a certain amount of spotlight or whatnot, doesn’t mean that they should receive less of us.”
Brown continued, "So if we go to an event where they're specifically taking pictures, that's another thing. But if I'm at a soccer game...if I'm at anything, I'll be like like, 'Hey guys, right now I'm just a dad but I appreciate the love.' And most people are so sweet and so cool.'"
You can hear all that Sterling K. Brown had to say below.
'80s Icon Said No to 'Melania'
Putting together a soundtrack for Melania proved difficult for the creative team behind the controversial documentary, as many iconic musicians opted to stay hands-off despite cries that the film is not political.
Among them is Grace Jones, the boundary-pushing singer, model, and actress who rose to fame in the late '70s and became a defining face of '80s pop culture.
She is among several other musicians and bands, including Prince and Guns N' Roses— whose members are split politically—who chose to pass on the film. Now, Melania producer Marc Beckman is speaking out about the struggle to score the film, following claims that the film didn't properly license the music used. In an interview with Variety, Beckman discussed music licensing after Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood demanded they remove a song he composed.
View this post on Instagram"Guns N’ Roses was definitely a disappointment for us; we all have a lot of respect for Guns N’ Roses," Beckman explained. "And then there was a song that we wanted to use from Grace Jones; obviously, also a tremendous amount of respect for her. She apparently couldn’t get over the political hurdle, notwithstanding the fact that the film is not a political film. So that was disappointing, too."
He continued, "It’s disappointing when people put politics so far ahead, and that happened a little bit with the film, for sure."
While several artists said no, the Radiohead guitarist-turned-film composer found out music he scored for The Phantom Thread was included in the documentary. He and director Paul Thomas Anderson demanded it be removed and publicly distanced themselves from the film.
Due to the licensing rights for the song, it likely won't be removed—but, according to Beckman, there are no hard feelings. He called Radiohead one of his favorite bands and admitted, "I’ll still remain a fan and listen to their music every single day."
Despite struggling to secure several preferred acts, saying it "wasn't easy," the Melania producer did manage to license music from several notable artists, including Michael Jackson, Tears for Fears, Aretha Franklin, and the Rolling Stones.
Beckman told the publication, "It’s incredible that we’re able to get the Rolling Stones and Elvis and Michael Jackson."
Martin Short Endured Multiple Family Tragedies Before Age 21: Inside His Experience With Grief
Martin Short is known for making people laugh, but in his personal life, the 75-year-old actor has been through more than his fair share of devastating tragedies.
On Tuesday, Feb. 24, it was confirmed that Short's daughter Katherine Hartley Short, the oldest of his three children, died by suicide on Monday while at her Los Angeles home. She was 42.
15 years prior to Katherine's death, Short grieved the loss of his beloved wife Nancy Dolman, with whom he shared Katherine, their only daughter, as well as their two sons, Oliver and Henry.
Dolman, who had been married to the Only Murders in the Building actor for 36 years, died in 2010 following a battle with ovarian cancer. She was 58.

But even before the two more recent personal losses, Short already had multiple brushes with death throughout his life, three of which took place before he even turned 21.
When Short was just 12 years old, his oldest brother, David, was killed in a car accident at the age of 26. He later lost his mother, Olive Hayter, who died of cancer when Short was 17, Page Six reports. Just two years later, his father, Charles Patrick Short, died from complications caused by a stroke.
"It sounds like a tragic family, but it really isn't," Short previously told PEOPLE in a 1984 profile. "My mother had cancer, and she had been ill and then in remission since I was 13. She was a remarkable person; both my parents were. So I never looked at it as if it was a tragedy — that I didn't have them my whole life."
"You learn some sense of priorities," he said at the time. "Our whole family took the attitude that if you have wonderful moments, don't second-guess them, just enjoy them."
