Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce Announce Guest Who Moved Them to Tears
Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce are making sports and music fans cheer after announcing their newest guest for New Heights.
The duo continues to line up major names for their hit podcast, featuring superstars like LeBron James, Shaquille O'Neal and Hollywood A-listers like Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Arnold Schwarzenegger, among others.
For their upcoming guest, they have invited country star Chris Stapleton, promising listeners a conversation that blends music, football and laid-back banter.
On Tuesday, the NFL brothers delivered their iconic introduction, with the retired NFL star describing their guest as the “6-foot-tall singer-songwriter and country music superstar from Staffordville, Kentucky.”
Jason Kelce shared Stapleton’s career highlights, including being a 19-time Country Music Award winner and a 12-time Grammy Award winner.
Of course, the introduction wouldn't be complete without their guest being celebrated for his unforgettable national anthem performances.
View this post on Instagram“The man that performed a national anthem that was so good that it brought me to tears,” the older Kelce shared, adding, “The one and only Chris Stapleton.”
The teaser also included the former Philadelphia star shooting a playful question, noting, “How many people do you venture you’ve made cry just from singing the national anthem?” to which the award-winning musician replied, “Well, I know two,” referring to the Kelce brothers.
The particular moment was during Super Bowl LVII in 2023, where Jason Kelce was visibly emotional as he mouthed the lyrics while Stapleton sang the national anthem.
The same goes for Travis Kelce, who was also moved to tears during the national anthem performance at the same Super Bowl, which was also shown on the Jumbotron.
At the time, the Eagles returned to the championship to face the Kansas City Chiefs, where Travis Kelce played tight end, with the Chiefs emerging as the winner with a 38-35 victory.

In February 2025, the duo mentioned Stapleton as their favorite musician to sing the national anthem at Super Bowl games.
"What's the most electric national anthem?" the former Eagles center asked.
"You already know, it's Chris Stapleton,” his brother answered. “On a sad day, I will put that video on. I'll go to YouTube.”
Jason Kelce poked fun at the veteran tight end, noting, “Just to watch me and [coach] Nick Sirianni cry and then revel at the fact that you beat us?"
Fans React to New Heights’ AnnouncementFollowing the announcement, fans expressed their excitement to see the duo with the country star on the upcoming episode.
The comment section was filled with viewers calling Stapleton a “legend.”
“Legend! That’s the man!!!!” one wrote.
“Yeeeeesss!!! Chris Stapleton is a living legend!!” a commenter echoed.
Others were calling his performance “the best national anthem sang in history of EVER.”
“So excited for this one!” a follower said.
“This might be my favorite pod interview with my 3 fav men!” another noted.
The Kelce brothers’ podcast airs every Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET and is available for streaming via YouTube, Spotify and other major podcast platforms.

Late last year, Jack Link also teamed up with Dr Pepper for a unique twist on its classic snack, which fans said sounded "both terrible and delicious."
Some of those who'd had the opportunity to try it said they "really like[d] it," but for others, it was far "too sweet," with one explaining that after just two bites they "couldn’t drown out the after taste for like an hour," noting it was unexpectedly and unpleasantly wet.

The Night Agent’s Gabriel Basso Explains Willingness to Die Doing Stunts ‘In Pursuit of Greatness’
Gabriel Basso takes his role on The Night Agent seriously, to the point where he doesn’t seem to mind putting his life in danger.
Shortly after the release of season 3, the actor, 31, discussed how he approaches his stunts on the Netflix series despite higher-ups’ concerns about liability.
“I think it should be like what you talk about with the NFL—you’re getting paid millions of dollars to take these hits. It’s part of the risk,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published on Monday, February 23. “Of course, I’m not going to do something stupid, and I’m going to train and there should be some level of insurance and liability and everything. Even if something doesn’t work, it’s like, ‘OK, he died in pursuit of greatness.’”
The interviewer then asked how Basso’s family feels about his “line of thinking” on the potential dangers of the situation.
“I don’t ask,” he admitted. “I’m sure they wouldn’t love getting a call that I’ve been permanently injured, but to me, it’s how did it happen? If I’m speeding down the 101 or the 405 being an idiot, they would hate that. But if it was like, he tried to make film history by doing this—that would be sick.”
While Basso has a stunt double, he prides himself on doing his own stunts and believes the confidence he brings to the set allows him to execute them safely.
“I think if I was scared I wouldn’t do it,” he explained. “Having your adrenaline pumping isn’t the same as fear. The minute you doubt yourself—they call it target fixation in skydiving, where you’re looking at a tree or a telephone pole thinking, ‘Don’t hit that,’ and you start drifting there because you’re looking at it. So if you start thinking about the bad scenarios, then you’re setting yourself up.”
Basso plays Night Action agent Peter Sutherland on the Netflix drama. In season 3, which premiered on Thursday, February 19, his stunts included an underwater fight scene and a backwards car chase, which he pitched to the show’s writers himself.
Season 3 saw Peter attempting to expose an international conspiracy alongside returning characters Chelsea Arrington (Fola Evans-Akingbola), Jacob Monroe (Louis Herthum), President Richard Hagan (Ward Horton), Aidan Mosley (Albert Jones) and Catherine Weaver (Amanda Warren). New faces included Adam (David Lyons), Jenny Hagan (Jennifer Morrison), The Father (Stephen Moyer), Isabel De Leon (Genesis Rodriguez), Jay Batra (Suraj Sharma) and The Son (Callum Vinson).
All season 3 episodes of The Night Agent are now streaming on Netflix.

1975 Hit Was Written in Five Minutes and Shot Up the Charts Decades Later
There's no question that songwriting can be a labor-intensive process. (Just think of all the countless biopics about famous musicians featuring scenes where the main character struggles to come up with their biggest hit.) Sometimes, though, inspiration comes in a flash, with lyrics and melodies materializing within minutes...and that's what happened in the case of one of Fleetwood Mac's most beloved tunes.
The band was going through a difficult transitional period in 1974. Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham had been dropped from their record label after the release of the album Buckingham Nicks, and Nicks was working as a waitress and a cleaning lady to support them both.
As Nicks recalled on VH1 Storytellers in 1998 (per Far Out), “I guess it was about September 1974, I was home at my Dad and Mom’s house in Phoenix, and my father said, ‘You know, I think that maybe…you really put a lot of time into this [music career], maybe you should give this six more months, and if you want to go back to school, we’ll pay for it and uh, basically you can do whatever you want, and we’ll pay for it’. I have wonderful parents, and I went, ‘Cool, I can do that.'”
While in Aspen trying to decide whether to keep pursuing music or take up her parents' offer and go back to school, Nicks channeled her emotions by writing "Landslide."
“‘Landslide’ I wrote on the guitar, and it’s another one that I wrote in about five minutes," she explained to In the Studio with Red Beard in 1992.
"But see, when I’m really thinking about something. I mean when something’s really bothering me, again, the best thing that I can do is go to the music room, or to the office, where I can write," she added.
The song went on to be included on Fleetwood Mac's self-titled 1975 album and was a fan-favorite for years but wasn't released as a single until the band came out with their live reunion album The Dance (1997), going on to hit #10 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary Chart in 1998.
Not bad for five minutes of work...and all these years later, Fleetwood Mac fans are still grateful that Nicks didn't go back to school.

’90s Rock Band Tease ‘Overdue’ Career First Ahead of 12th Album Release
U.K. fans of the legendary rock band formed in the 1990s, the Foo Fighters, are getting hyped after the group teased appearing at a major music festival that they have never performed at before.
The band sat down for an interview with DJ Sophie K for Kerrang! Radio, and during the conversation, the DJ made a "plea on behalf of everyone who's ever been to Download Festival. We need you there."
The Foo Fighters seemed surprised that people wanted them there, with lead singer Dave Grohl questioning, "Really? There's so many great bands." But Sophie K made it clear that it's what the fans want, noting that people in forums are always sharing their hopes that the Foo Fighters will be in the lineup for the next festival, only to be disappointed.
"Everyone is wanting you to play, and I feel like with this new album, just putting it out there, you know?" The DJ went on, referring to the band's 12th album, Your Favorite Toy, out in April. Grohl looked to the other band members, saying, "Maybe we should do it! ... Maybe it's time."
The DJ declared that they would be sending the interview along to Download Festival in an effort to get the Foo Fighters booked, with Grohl's final comment being, "Overdue."

Fans were ecstatic to see Foo Fighters get the message and share their willingness to attend, with one person commenting on the video, "Been saying this for like 15 years, how on earth have they not played THE UK rock & metal festival???"
Someone else cheered on the DJ for bringing it up to them, writing, "Sophie K making the things happen!!"
Others said that they "Need it to happen," and "That’s crazy, how have the never played Download," as a different fan cheered, "YES @iamsophiek I need my favourite band at my favourite festival!!!!!"
Some fans noted that Grohl actually performed at Download Festival in 2010, but it was with another band he's a part of, Them Crooked Vultures.

Is Olympic Star Alysa Liu Dating? Her Answer Might Surprise You
At just 20 years old, Alysa Liu has already accomplished what many athletes spend a lifetime chasing.
Fresh off a dominant run at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina (where she helped secure gold for Team USA in the team event and later captured gold in women’s singles) Liu has become one of the breakout stars of the Games.
While many fans are fascinated by incredible free-spirited performances, some are wondering about something a bit more personal: Is she dating? According to Liu, not exactly—and that’s very much by design.
“Oh my god, this is, like, the first time I’ve talked about this,” she said when asked about her love life by Cosmopolitan back in January. “That’s a whole other thing that I’m not feeling right now. I have so much love in my life already, and I have so many amazing people, I just haven’t felt the need to look for more or look elsewhere. I really love myself. And my standards are quite high, too.”
She added that her schedule also makes romance complicated. “If I were to date someone, we’d each have to make tons of sacrifices. It’s just not worth it at this point to build something. I think when it comes, it will. I love being single, I really do. I do see myself being single for a long time. Especially right now, I choose friendships over relationships any day.”
Her focus tracks with the journey that brought her here. In a January interview with 60 Minutes, her father Arthur Liu revealed he invested between $500,000 and $1 million into her skating career. “I spared no money, no time,” Arthur admitted. “I just saw talent.”
READ MORE: How Much Did Alysa Liu’s Father Spend on Her Skating Career?
Alysa briefly retired at 16 following the 2022 Winter Olympics. During that break, she rediscovered her independence—and when she considered returning, it had to be on her terms. She explained in the interview that she set clear boundaries, especially with her father: “I get to pick my own program music. I get to help with the creative process of the program. If I feel like I’m skating too much, I’ll back down. If I feel like I’m not skating enough, I’ll ramp it up. No one’s going to starve me. Tell me what I can and can’t eat.”
And Arthur respected the shift, even if it was bittersweet. “He’s a great father, you know, I just didn’t want him to be as invested in it as he was before,” Alysa shared. Arthur admitted the transition hurt “a little bit." A little bit."
12 Years Ago Today, a Popular Late-Night Talk Show Premiered
12 years ago, this iconic late-night talk show host made his debut.
On Feb. 24, 2014, Seth Meyers began his stint as the host for NBC's Late Night, taking over for Jimmy Fallon, who now runs the Tonight Show. Currently with 13 seasons, episodes of Late Night with Seth Meyers start with a monologue talking about the day's biggest news and political stories, then he welcomes two or three celebrity guests to interview, and sometimes a musical guest performs. The talk show airs on NBC every weeknight at 12:35 am ET.
For the series premiere of Late Night with Seth Meyers, Meyers brought on his former Saturday Night Livecastmate and Weekend Update co-anchor, Amy Poehler, to the desk, as well as former Vice President Joe Biden. A musical performance by A Great Big World was also done, and it also marked the official debut of the Studio 8G Band, the talk show's in-studio house band, which used to be run by Fred Armisen.
Late Night with Seth Meyers is the fourth iteration of NBC's Late Night franchise. The show first started in 1982 and was hosted by David Letterman until 1993, then Conan O'Brien took over from 1993 to 2009, then Fallon sat behind the desk from 2009 to 2014.
View this post on InstagramMeyers started his career as a comedian while he was a student at Northwestern University, where he was a member of the school's improv sketch group, the Mee-Ow Show. He continued his career at ImprovOlympic and overseas in Amsterdam as a member of Boom Chicago. In 2001, he joined the cast of Saturday Night Live and was promoted to co-head writer with Tina Fey and Harper Steele five years later. When Fey left SNL in 2006 to star in her own sitcom, 30 Rock, Meyers took over her Weekend Update spot to co-host with Poehler. The comedian remained the Weekend Update anchor on SNL until halfway through the 39th season. Meyers was replaced by Colin Jost after his departure.

Why Christina Applegate Thinks Meghan Markle Will Be 'Mad' at Her After 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' Interview
Christina Applegate is hoping that her recent interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! didn't ruffle any feathers, particularly Meghan Markle's.
While appearing as a guest on the Monday, Feb. 23 episode of Kimmel's show, Applegate unexpectedly name-dropped the Duchess of Sussex, later expressing her hope that Markle didn't take any offense to her comments.
But even though Applegate referred to Markle by name, the conversation didn't actually have anything to do with Prince Harry's wife.
Applegate, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 2021, was instead explaining to Kimmel that she has named several of her body parts—including both arms and legs—as a way of coping with the affects the disease is having on her body and her muscles.
Noting that she gave her limbs "pretty funny" names, Applegate revealed that she calls one of her legs Meghan Markle, though it doesn't seem to be for any apparent reason.
"By the way, this is not derogatory to any of the people I'm saying it about," she said, while also introducing her other leg as "Tootie," inspired by the Facts of Life character, as well as her arms, Barbara and Stanley.
"And we have Megan Markle, and that's not a bad thing," Applegate said, gesturing to one of her legs. She then explained that she uses the names to address her body parts when they're acting "weird" or not moving the way she wants them to.
While Kimmel praised her for the creative coping method, Applegate said, "I don't know if everyone's gonna be happy about the Meghan Markle one. I think [Markle's] probably going to be mad about that."
View this post on Instagram"Why would she be mad that you named one of your favorite body parts after her?" Kimmel said, while Applegate reiterated, "It's really not like a bad thing."
"I think she'll be perfectly OK with it, and if not, well, whatever," Kimmel added, while Applegate added, "I don't really give a crap on a cracker."

A Closer Look at How It Works Crofton 3-in-1 Food Prep Ball, DeconstructedAldi
At its core, this little gadget keeps things extremely simple. The green lid features a rotating blade, so you can press down and twist to create even slices (think cucumbers, zucchini, carrots and other firm veggies). Meanwhile, the blue lid houses a straight metal blade designed for uniform round slices that's perfect for potatoes, radishes or anything you want to cut clean and consistent.
Need to grate instead? Simply swap in the red disc, which works well for cheese, carrots, garlic and similar ingredients. Lastly, a clear spiked disc acts as your safety guard, gripping smaller produce so you can slice or grate without putting your precious fingers at risk. Everything drops directly into the clear bowl below, which also doubles as a storage container, making it easy to pop on the lid and save leftovers for later.
If you like what you see, don’t waste any time snatching up this handy kitchen essential for yourself or a loved one. And while you’re at it, why not snag Aldi’s matching manual food chopper and 3-piece spice jar set? Each one brings even more charm and convenience to your mealtime routine.
Christina Applegate Admits She Initially Turned Down One of Her Most Iconic Roles: 'It Was So Crass'
Christina Applegate may have become a household name because of her role on Married… with Children but she almost didn't accept the part.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday (Feb. 23), Applegate revealed that when she was first approached about the role of Kelly Bundy, she wasn't a fan of the script and told executives she wasn't interested.
"They wanted me to be Kelly Bundy, and I said, 'Boo on your story,' because I just didn’t like it at all. I was like, 'It's gross, and it's like talking about balls' and I don’t know. I didn’t want it," Applegate explained on the late night show.
She continued, "And they had hired some other kids, and then that didn’t work out. And then they came back to me, and it was funny. And I was like, ‘Oh, OK. I like it.'"
As for what made Applegate have a change of heart about the show, she says that after some time away, she began to see how funny the script was. She signed on along with her costar David Faustino, who portrayed her brother Bud.
"I just liked it," Applegate said being approached a second time. "Dave and I came after two other kids. And they had shot a pilot, and it was just so crass, and … I clutched my pearls. But it was so freaking funny, and I was so into it."
Applegate went on to star on the show for a decade. While the show wrapped in 1997, she says she's still tight with the cast, including her TV dad, Ed O’Neill.
"Yeah, we’re very, very tight. Incredibly tight. I mean, I talk to Ed, like, once a week … we just talk," she shared. "We talk all the time, and he’ll call me at, like, 7 in the morning, and then we’ll be on the phone for like two hours and then — he’ll be like, ‘Ugh. I have to go.’ And I’m like, ‘You called me, man, like, what are we dealing with right now?’ … I love that dude so much."

‘RHOBH’ Alum Says She Had to Bribe Her Kids to Get Them on Camera
Actress and reality television show personality Lisa Rinna is getting candid about her time on the Bravo series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
During an appearance on a February 2026 episode ofJesse Tyler Ferguson's podcast, Dinner's on Me, Rinna noted that she starred on RHOBHfor eight seasons until the show's 12th season, which premiered in 2022. She revealed how her two daughters, models Amelia Gray Hamlin, 24, and Delilah Belle Hamlin, 27, who she shares with her husband Harry Hamlin, felt about her filming the Bravo show. She explained that Amelia and Delilah weren't all that fond of appearing in front of the RHOBH cameras.
"They were so young, you know, they were teenagers at the time and they really just don't remember that much of it, I think," said Rinna during the podcast interview. "But they just didn't want to film. I remember that. And I would have to bribe them to film. Of course, they would want the kids. I'd be like, 'Okay, I'll buy you this. You just come film for like 15, 20 minutes.'"
Lisa Rinna Discussed Joining the 'RHOBH' CastWhile recording the Dinner's on Me episode, Rinna discussed her decision to star in RHOBH during its fifth season. She noted that she primarily worked as an actress and spokesperson before filming for RHOBH. She explained that RHOBH enabled her to get more career opportunities.
"I knew that at the time in my career, I needed that real estate. I mean, that's why I did it 'cause I knew it was really high visibility and could help with business. And I needed a win," said the Melrose Place actress in the interview.
Rinna also suggested that negative reactions from social media users were one of the reasons she decided to leave RHOBH.
"The first five years on the show, it was manageable because the zeitgeist and the fan base hadn't become so angry. That's what changed, is the response to us changed, and that made it really difficult," said Rinna to Ferguson.
Rinna also noted that her mother, Lois Rinna, died during her final season of the show. She said she wished she had taken a break from RHOBH following her mother's death. She said, however, that she believed the network wouldn't have been happy if she stopped filming mid-season.
She clarified that she is "grateful for" RHOBH.
"I think everything that you do in life leads you further on your path," said Rinna.

Psychologists Warn: These 7 ‘Nice’ Gestures from Parents and Grandparents Actually Create Anxiety in Kids
In her clinical practice, Dr. Amy Kincaid Todey, Ph.D., a child psychologist with Todey Psychology, often notices a certain (grand)parent trap. And no, there's no need to page a young Lindsay Lohan.
"You love your children deeply and want them to be happy," she explains. "You pour your love, resources and energy into shaping your life around their needs, believing that this nurturance and support will help them grow into healthy, well-adjusted adults."
However, your best intentions and efforts don't always (or often) lead to children who have no vices. And sometimes it's what parents and/or grandparents are doing that causes some issues for kids—now and down the line.
Now, listen: no one is arguing that raising children requires a lot of energy and resources, and that attuned caregiving has long-term developmental and mental health benefits. However, is it possible to be "too nice" of a grandparent or parent?
Psychologists say it is. In fact, they warn that certain "nice" gestures from parents and grandparents can actually cause anxiety in kids.
"Saying 'nice' things can sometimes increase—rather than ease—anxiety in kids because the adult’s discomfort often moves to the forefront ahead of the child’s distress," explains Dr. Dale Atkins, Ph.D., a licensed psychologist and author of The Turquoise Butterfly. "When children feel anxious, it is their nervous system that needs calming, and an adult’s response plays a critical role in helping that happen."
Psychologists note that it's also possible to respond through actions, which can sometimes speak louder than words. As well-meaning as they are, psychologists warn that these seven nice gestures from parents and grandparents can actually cause anxiety in kids.

1. Doing for children what they can do for themselvesYour attempt to help a child do something, like a chore or tie their shoes, can have the opposite effect.
"Completing tasks children are capable of handling can unintentionally undermine their sense of competence," Dr. Todey reveals. "When children are denied opportunities to struggle and succeed independently, they miss out on the confidence that comes from mastering challenges on their own."
On a related note, psychologists concede that it's hard to see your child or grandchild struggle, or notice a mistake coming from a mile away and want to shield them from disappointment. Yet attempts to play hero, however well-meaning, can backfire later.
"Quickly solving problems, answering for the child or removing challenges is a well-intentioned attempt to reduce discomfort," Dr. Atkins says. "However, it can signal to the child that the situation—or their feelings—are too much to handle. Over time, this undermines confidence and reinforces the belief that anxiety is dangerous and must be avoided."

In recent years, we've paid much more attention to social and emotional awareness and growth. That's not a bad thing, but it's possible to get too in the weeds.
"Validating children’s emotions is important, but excessive reassurance or avoidance can worsen anxiety, particularly for children prone to rumination or obsessive thinking," Dr. Todey shares.
She often sees divorced parents fall into this anxiety-inducing trap. Sometimes, they feel hesitant to send their child back to a co-parent's home after the kiddo had a disagreement with that parent. Sometimes, they may repeatedly reassure the child rather than promote coping.
"Children need opportunities to manage their emotions so that they can make repairs and move on even in the most difficult circumstances," she states. "Teaching children, 'I’m scared, and I can do this anyway,' and modeling courage aligned with family values is often more effective than reassurance alone."
Taking your child to their kindergarten orientation is a great idea. However, attempting to figure out everything that could go wrong and cramming in a what-if problem-solving session three days before school starts is likely to create way more anxiety than is necessary.
"For a child who feels anxious, over-preparing may magnify uncertainty and feed catastrophic thinking," Dr. Atkins notes. "Instead of feeling prepared, the child may feel overwhelmed and more focused on what could go wrong."
It's tempting to try to hide or distract a child—especially a very young one—from something heavy, such as the death of a pet. It can be hard for parents to discuss topics like death with a child. However, shielding a child from painful emotions robs them of a chance to process feelings like grief and learn valuable coping skills. Also, kids generally know something is up, even if they don't currently have the words to identify it.
"The reality is that children are very perceptive," sharesDr. Emily Guarnotta, Psy.D., PMH-C, a psychologist and owner of Phoenix Health. "When they sense sadness or tension in the house but are told, 'Everything is fine,' it creates confusion. They learn that negative emotions are too scary to deal with, which leaves them less equipped to handle them later."
Leading voices in the modern parenting zeitgeist have leaned into the idea of giving kids choices so they feel like they have some control. For instance, a parent or grandparent might say, "Do you want to leave the park now, or would you like one more trip down the slide before we head to the car?" However, it's possible to take this advice too far and cultivate worry in children.
"While autonomy is good, too many choices can be overwhelming for a developing brain," Dr Guarnotta notes. "It can create anxiety and decision fatigue because the child feels the weight of having to make the right choice. Children tend to feel safer and less anxious with clear and consistent boundaries."
Parents and grandparents genuinely mean no harm here.
"Telling your child that they're smart can feel like a confidence booster, but when done often, children can begin to associate their worth with their intelligence," Dr. Guarnotta explains. "This can create significant anxiety around making mistakes or trying new things because they fear that failing means that they are not smart."

"One of the most powerful anxiety-reducing gestures is [a] calm, non-rushed presence without an agenda," Dr. Atkins shares. "This can be sitting with a child in their feeling[s] without fixing, coaching or cheering them out of it."
Dr. Guarnotta echoes similar sentiments.
"Instead of jumping in to 'fix' it, you allow the child to process the problem with you and talk it through," she suggests. "You validate their experience and communicate. 'I see that this is hard, and I am not afraid of your big feelings. I am right here with you.'"
She loves that this gesture builds emotional intelligence and resilience.
"It also teaches children that emotions are temporary waves that they can overcome," she notes.
So, fight the urge to say, "You're OK," the next time your child or grandchild is upset.
"Instead, narrate what you are seeing and offer support," Dr. Guarnotta states. "You could say, 'I see that you're really nervous about your test tomorrow. That makes sense.' Make sure you take your own deep breaths to calm your nervous system, which will, in turn, help settle theirs."

'70s Rock Band Makes Announcement Ahead of 50th Anniversary Tour
Beloved '70s rock band, Rush, just announced an addition to the band's lineup in advance of their 50th anniversary tour.
Founding members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson announced that keyboardist and vocalist Loren Gold will be going on the road with them for their 2026-2027 Fifty Something Tour. Gold, an accomplished musician and performer, as toured with The Who, Roger Daltry, and Chicago, among other major acts.
Gold is the only the latest addition to Rush's touring lineup, which also includes drummer Anika Nilles, who is set to take on the impressive task of playing in place of the band's late drummer, the legendary Neil Peart.
View this post on Instagram"We have hired a keyboard player who's going to be coming on the road with us," Geddy told Planet Rock. "His name is Loren Gold. [...] He's a real veteran. So we're excited to bring him on board and our first rehearsal with him starts very soon."
Rush was formed in 1968, but its three most well-known members, Lee, Lifeson, and Peart, did not officially join forces in 1974. The quickly became one of the most influential bands in progressive rock, building a loyal following through early albums like 2112 and Moving Pictures.
Drummer Neil Peart became a cornerstone of the band, a unique talent known for his complex and physically demanding drumming style. He also wrote the majority of the band's lyrics, but it was his epic drum solos that distinguish him from other live musicians. Peart died in 2020 after a battle with glioblastoma, leaving a gaping hole in the band and in the hearts of fans.
"The last time I saw [Peart] he wanted to tell me how proud he was of the music we have done together," Lee said in 2023. "He went on to talk about these songs and what they meant to him and he thought it was very important for me to know that, that our life as a rhythm section together was important to him. So I thought that was beautiful."
For a while, Rush's future was uncertain, but over time, Lee and Lifeson found the desire and path forward to touring with the additions of Gold and Nilles. While no one can replace Peart, the band's 50th anniversary is one worth celebrating, and it's hard to imagine a better way than large, loud, live shows.
