Legendary ’90s Alt-Metal Band May Have Quietly Reached the End

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 1:19pm

If it feels like every major band from the '70s, '80s, and '90s is suddenly back on tour right now (no, you're not imagining it). From Fleetwood Mac to AC/DC, Guns 'N Roses, and even the Foo Fighters, legacy acts are filling arenas once again in 2026.

Plenty of artists have also been making the rounds for one final hurrah. Cyndi Lauper, The Who, and The Eagles were among those who said goodbye in 2025, with 2026 shaping up to include farewell runs from Rush and Megadeth, giving fans one last look before retirement.

But one '90s alt-metal band that dominated MTV with the smash hit and music video for "Epic" isn't among those eyeing a comeback or even a farewell tour.

During a recent appearance on Consequence's Kyle Meredith With... podcast, Faith No More frontman Mike Patton addressed the future, or lack thereof, for the band.

View this post on Instagram

Referring to the last time Faith No More went on tour, Kyle Meredith asked if Patton felt a "sense of closure" when performing in August 2016, and his answer was telling.

"I didn’t really think so at the time, but, yeah, maybe," Patton replied. "I think that we all kind of felt it, but it was unspoken."

He continued, "It's funny, when you've been in a band or a musical situation for a period of time, always in the back of your head you're kind of thinking 'well, maybe this is it.'"

Patton went on to explain that he "doesn't mind that feeling" and he doesn't see the end of the band to be a "sad thing."

Perhaps that's because, as Patton explained on the podcast, he never really considered Faith No More to be his "main project." Though he conceded that he spent more time on Faith No More over the years, he has been involved with more than a dozen bands, including Mr. Bungle and the supergroup, Fantômas.

The Spicy Peanut Noodles Recipe Taking Over the Internet View this post on Instagram

An easy 10-minute peanut noodles recipe checks every one of those boxes. Al dente noodles provide the perfect chewy base for a silky sauce made from peanut butter, soy sauce and rice vinegar—a combination that hits salty, nutty, tangy and slightly sweet notes all at once. Chili flakes and chili oil add customizable heat, while garlic and sesame seeds bring aroma and texture. It feels indulgent but requires almost no prep, no fancy equipment and no hard-to-find ingredients. That balance of comfort, speed and big flavor is exactly why recipes like this keep going viral.

What Fans Are Saying About the Dish

When @cook_18 shared their version of this dish, fans were drooling with excitement to try it for themselves. "I'm sooo convinced my phone knows when I'm hungry," exclaimed one person. "I know that taste good," said another. "Yummmm," cried several others. The post has garnered over 151,000 likes and over 500 comments so far, solidifying its popularity.

How to Make Spicy Peanut Noodles

If you want to make it at home, the creator shared the full recipe in the caption. In a large skillet or wok, heat two to three tablespoons of neutral oil. Add two tablespoons of creamy peanut butter, two tablespoons of rice vinegar, two tablespoons of sesame seeds, 1 ½ tablespoons of soy sauce, ½ tablespoon of chili flakes, and two cloves of minced garlic; mix to combine. Add cooked noodles and stir to coat. Top with chopped green onion and drizzle with ½ to one tablespoon chili oil to serve.

Others suggested adding vegetables and some protein to round out the meal. "Yum! But can we have some veg? Like broccoli and carrot and mushrooms and maybe some tofu, too?" suggested one person. I think it'd be delicious with thinly sliced and sautéed chicken breast, zucchini and bell peppers as well. It's one of those dishes you can easily make your own, and no matter what, it's going to be absolutely scrumptious.

'Yellowstone' Creator Taylor Sheridan is Now an Author After Inking a Book Deal

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 1:04pm

Before Yellowstone skyrocketed him to stardom, Taylor Sheridan was the writer of high-profile movies like Hell or High Water and Sicario.

Should fans be surprised, then, he now has a book coming out?

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Simon & Schuster revealed on Tuesday, Feb. 24 that it will publish Sheridan's debut literary work, titled How to Not Die in Prison. It's described by the publisher as "a no bulls--t, darkly funny survival guide to life in a maximum-security prison."

Sheridan, 55, has never been to prison — but his co-author has, THR reports. How to Not Die in Prison is co-written by “prison-hardened ex-con” Tom Nelson and will publish on June 23.

“There is no book of rules for life in prison — until now. How to Not Die in Prison teaches readers everything they need to know to make it out alive, from how to survive a prison riot, a lockdown, a stabbing, a hit, and solitary confinement to how to get a job, not go insane, make prison ramen, give a prison tat, and (allegedly) make a shiv,” the description continues.

“You might wonder what in the world gives me the knowledge or wisdom to write a survival guide to prison,” Sheridan writes in the book’s introduction, per THR. “Well, I’ll tell you — absolutely nothing. I’ve never been to prison. But, like every man, I’ve certainly wondered how I would survive if circumstances ever put me there. That morbid curiosity sent me on a journey to understand the politics and dangers of prison. When researching for Mayor of Kingstown, I learned very quickly it’s way better to avoid going to prison than figuring out how to survive one.”

Speaking of Sheridan, a new trailer just dropped for his upcoming seriesThe Madison starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell. Check out the trailer below for the highly anticipated western project, which will premiere March 14.

In a recent statement, lead vocalist Mark Osegueda commented on how the original leg of the Act III anniversary tour came to be, noting the band's surprise at how it resonated with modern audiences.

"Truth be told, when we realized that Act III was approaching the 35-year anniversary of its release date, we toyed with the idea of doing a tour of playing it in its entirety, hoping that it would appeal to some of our die-hard fans, and we decided to test the waters with a quick three-week run in select markets in the States to see if the appreciation and fond memories of that era and time resonated with Death Angel fans today," Osegueda said. "Well, that tour was so fulfilling for us in the band because nightly we could see and even more so hear it at every show. That you guys appreciated it beyond our wildest expectations!"

‘Beat Bobby Flay’ Judge Says Flay Lost to ‘Another Edible Universe’ of a Dish

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 12:57pm

Appearing on Food Network may look effortless from the couch—but according to one judge, it’s anything but.

Pamela Silvestri, food editor for SILive.com and a former judge on Beat Bobby Flay, recently shared what it was like stepping onto the show’s high-pressure set, and how the experience taught her the value of composure under bright studio lights.

The episode, filmed in 2019 and aired in February 2022, featured comedian JB Smoove and chef Michael Symon as the hosts, with chefs Mia Castro and Brandon Carter facing off in the kitchen. Silvestri joined fellow judges James Briscione and Chris Cheung to taste and deliberate as host Bobby Flay worked his usual calm, laser-focused magic just feet away.

“Picture bright TV lights, a live audience perched above like an amphitheater, and Bobby Flay just steps away doing his unflappable Flay thing while I stand there smiling, trying to take it all in—pearls on, of course,” Silvestri wrote.

Inside the Food Network studio, she described stepping into a “glowing fishbowl of a set,” where the clang of knives against cutting boards and garlic hitting hot oil echoed beneath blazing lights in an otherwise chilly space.

“Under those lights, the world shifts,” she wrote. “Steel taps on cutting boards, garlic hits hot oil… and there I was, trying to eat like a lady on national television.”

When the producers finally said “go,” Silvestri tasted two versions of arroz con pollo—and immediately felt the difference.

“One was respectable—solid chicken with intentionally sticky rice,” she wrote, describing a dish that was technically sound and thoughtfully executed.

But the second plate delivered something very special.

“The other was another edible universe: pimento, culantro, maybe a little aioli, and a crisp shard of chicken skin that transported me straight back to a Bronx apartment where I first warmed up to arroz con pollo.”

As the sweetness of pimento, the herbal brightness of culantro and the richness of crackling chicken skin unfolded, Silvestri said she was no longer standing beneath harsh studio lights. She was back in her early restaurant days.

In the Bronx kitchens where she learned the business, the women she worked alongside became family. She remembers a woman named Lourdes’ pernil and her arroz con pollo in particular—dishes that, as Silvestri put it, “are seared into a food grunt’s memories.”

Standing there on set, years of muscle memory rushed back: cleaning deep fryers — “still my favorite job,” she noted — working the line shoulder-to-shoulder during a rush, deveining shrimp for a colleague in the weeds, and absorbing the rhythm, heat and camaraderie of restaurant life.

“And as I stood there in that studio, every one of those years rushed back,” she wrote. “Somehow, in a few simple bites, everything came together.”

In the end, Mia Castro beat Flay.

“And yes, since everyone asks: Mia Castro beat Bobby Flay. Her arroz con pollo, straight from her Abuela’s heart, deserved the crown. Bobby got flayed. Womp womp.”

Kelly Clarkson Reveals Label Called 'Because of You' the 'Worst Song Ever'

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 12:55pm

Kelly Clarkson is opening up about why her personal hit "Because of You" didn't make it on her debut album, Thankful, despite her push after winning American Idol.

Speaking with SiriusXM alongside fellow The Voice coachJohn Legend, Clarkson shared, "The label was very against [it]. I won a talent show; they did not know I was a writer, it was very hard to get that part validated via them."

Clarkson said that her music label ultimately "rejected" her song, adding, "they were like it doesn't rhyme, it's the worst song ever."

Still, Clarkson wanted the song on her record, telling her label that it didn't need to be a single, just "an album track" because it was "meaningful" to her. The song is one of Clarkson's most deeply personal ballads to date, inspired by her parents' divorce and its lasting impact.

In her interview, Clarkson noted that it "bummed me out" when she learned a tough lesson about the music industry when they didn't allow her song on the record. "They don't care about the art of it; they just want to make the money," she admitted.

Eventually, she "pushed so hard" to include it as a single on her sophomore album, Breakaway, where it became one of her most iconic hits.

"But then the fans got on board with it and it was my biggest No. 1 worldwide," she said. "So I think that was the surprise of, like, no matter how much you can feel like the machine is against you, your fans will be there, and they will be the reason why you get to continue to do it."

Back in 2011, she also spoke about her hit single being rejected by her label.

"My biggest song worldwide is 'Because of You,'" she told The Guardian. "That song really is the most depressing one I've ever written. I tried to get it on [debut album] Thankful, and was laughed at and told I wasn't a good writer. So then I tried to get it on Breakaway–and the label saw the results, people responding to it, and allowed it to become a single. Then took credit for its success, of course."

NHL Legend Dominik Hasek Praises U.S. Women's Hockey Team for Declining Trump's State of the Union Invitation

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 12:51pm

National Hockey League legend Dominik Hasek is standing up for the U.S. Women's Hockey Team.

On Monday, Feb. 23, the legendary goaltender took to X to praise the women's team after they declined President Trump's invitation to attend his State of the Union address on Tuesday, Feb. 24.

"Much respect to these women," Hasek wrote. "Yes, your president is a big liar and a fraud who abuses his position to insult and bully his fellow citizens. Still, I believe you must have shown a great deal of heroism in making this decision. Thank you for that."

Hasek, who is Czech, was goaltender for 16 seasons in the NHL, spending most of his career playing for the Buffalo Sabres. He is widely considered the best goaltender in history.

A USA Hockey spokesperson told NBC News‘ Monica Alba on Monday, Feb. 23 that the team was grateful for the State of the Union invitation, but the players are unable to attend due to prior commitments.

“We are sincerely grateful for the invitation extended to our gold medal–winning U.S. Women’s Hockey Team and deeply appreciate the recognition of their extraordinary achievement,” the spokesperson said. “Due to the timing and previously scheduled academic and professional commitments following the Games, the athletes are unable to participate.”

The U.S. women won gold on Friday, Feb. 20 with a 2-1 overtime victory against Canada, taking home their first gold medal in eight years.

The U.S. men also won a 2-1 overtime match against Canada on Sunday, Feb. 22. In locker-room celebration videos following the victory, FBI Director Kash Patel phoned in President Trump, who then proceeded to make a controversial joke about the women’s team.

“We’ll just have some fun, we have medals for you guys. And we have to — I must tell you — we’re going to have to bring the women’s team, you do know that,” the president said. “I do believe I probably would be impeached [if I didn’t].”

The president also offered to coordinate military aircraft to fly the men’s team to Washington, D.C. for the State of the Union.

Neither the White House nor USA Hockey have commented on the president’s remarks thus far.

Robert Carradine Once Revealed He Was 'Reduced to Tears' By John Wayne During His First Movie

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 12:47pm

One day after the unexpected death of actor Robert Carradine at 71-years-old,People magazine has shared a pivotal story about how the young actor first entered the film industry in the early 1970s.

As Carradine himself remembered it, he was first motivated to pursue a career in acting by his older brother David, the celebrated actor who starred in the TV show Kung Fu and Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill.

At the time, the then-teenage Robert said he hadn't seriously considered a career in the film industry, wanting to instead focus on his passion for competitive car racing rather than venturing into the Carradines' famed family trade.

"I didn’t want to be an actor," Robert said. "I was 18. My whole life, at that point, was cars and wanting to race. When The Cowboys came along around 1972, Bruce Dern eventually played the part of Long Hair, but it was offered to my brother David."

A 1970s Western starring the larger-than-life John Wayne, The Cowboys also featured an ensemble cast of young actors who portrayed the titular cowboys in the film. While David ultimately passed on the project, he nevertheless convinced his younger brother Robert to at least audition for a part in the movie.

“David said, 'I don’t want to be the guy who shoots John Wayne in the back... but hey, there’s a bunch of kids in this movie. Why don’t you go meet those people? You got everything to gain,’ he said, ‘and nothing to lose,’" Robert recalled. "I thought about that. Everything to gain and nothing to lose."

“So I went; and I auditioned for [the part of] a kid named Slim who was scared to death in the scene. Luckily, Robert Carradine was also scared to death,” the late actor joked. “So, I nailed it; and that’s how I got in the movie. That’s how it started.”

As nervous as he might have been on the set of a John Wayne movie, the young Carradine nevertheless had enough confidence to suggest a last-minute change to his far older co-star in Wayne.

Unfortunately, Carradine's suggestion only earned the ire of the veteran actor, leading Wayne to verbally berate the young performer until he broke down in tears.

"We were shooting the scene where the cowboys start duking it out and I jump off the corral fence to save this kid," Carradine said. “John Wayne breaks us up and tells me to ‘… get back on that fence where you belong.’ And me, with my week’s worth of experience in motion pictures, I say, ‘Hold on a second, Mr. Wayne. I don’t think you should tell me to get back on the fence where I belong. I think you should just tell me to get back on the fence because I’m the head kid.' ”

"He reduced me to tears," Carradine continued. "That’s how bad he chewed me out."

DNA from Nancy Guthrie Investigation Can’t Be Entered Into CODIS, Sources Say

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 12:31pm

The DNA sample found in Nancy Guthrie's home is reportedly unable to be entered into CODIS.

"The DNA found inside Nancy Guthrie’s home was only a partial sample and was not viable for CODIS, a source familiar with the investigation tells me," wrote NewsNation's Libbey Dean via X on Tuesday, Feb. 24.

CODIS or the Combined DNA Index System, is a computer software program that operates local, state, and national databases of DNA profiles from convicted offenders, unsolved crime scene evidence, and missing persons cases. To date, there are 27 million DNA profiles in the CODIS system.

While a partial DNA sample can be entered into the program, it must meet requirements set by the FBI's National DNA Index System.

Previously, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanossaid the DNA recovered from Nancy's home is mixed, meaning it contains genetic material from more than one person, which complicates the process of getting results.

He also said it could take months or even a year to get a hit, however, experts say that whenever those DNA results come in, they will be “conclusive.”

Another key piece of evidence in the case—a glove found two miles from Nancy's Tucson area—was also entered into the CODIS system, but produced no matches.

Savannah Guthrie also posted an update to social media on Feb. 24, saying that every day has been “agony” since her mother's disappearance on Feb. 1 before announcing a $1 million reward for any information leading to the recovery of Nancy.

The FBI urges anyone with tips or leads to call 1-800-CALL-FBI in addition to the Pima County Sheriff’s Office number, 520-351-4900. A $1 million reward is currently being offered to anyone with information leading to Nancy or the arrest of her kidnapper.

"I think you're really going to love this book," Couric, 69, told her followers in her video message on Tuesday, while adding that she decided to read More Than Enough after another well-known author, Elin Hilderbrand, recommended it.

Couric said that Hilderbrand, the author of fan-favorite reads like The Hotel Nantucket and The Perfect Couple, was "raving" about Quindlen's latest book, so she decided to pick up a copy and read it for herself.

"What can I say, I love Anna Quindlen," the former Today host said, while going on to gush, "She is so prolific. She's written so much fiction and so much nonfiction, I feel like we've grown, we've aged together in a way."

Couric also revealed that her book club's discussion of Quindlen's latest book will also include a conversation with the author, as she and Couric have become "friends" over the years.

"I really do think the world of her," Couric added of Quindlen, while adding in the clip, "Get reading, people!"

In the caption of her Instagram post, Couric let her followers know, "We’ll be sharing more details soon about our March discussion, so start reading now!"

"Let’s read! 💛" she concluded, while fans in the comments voiced their excitement with messages like "Can't wait to read!" and "What a great pick!"

‘80s Action Star Dolph Lundgren Puts His Hefty Biceps To Work: ‘The Winter Olympics of Snow Shoveling'

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 12:22pm

Dolph Lundgren isn't letting age or a snowstorm slow him down.

The legendary '80s action star, best known for his memorable role as Soviet boxer Ivan Drago in Rocky IV opposite Sylvester Stallone, also made a name for himself in three Universal Soldier films. These days, the actor can frequently be found working out in the gym. That's why it's no surprise that the Swedish star can shovel snow with the best of them.

This week, Lundgren took to Instagram to show his shoveling skills. Sporting a t-shirt and gloves, the handsome star quickly dug out a pile of snow as The Verve's "Bitter Sweet Symphony" played in the background. We're guessing he spent a bit of time shoveling while growing up in Sweden.

"The Winter Olympics of snow shoveling 🪏," Lundgren captioned his video.

Lundgren's Tremendous Cancer Battle

Lundgren's incredible physique is even more impressive when you consider his battle with cancer. Lundgren opened up about his cancer diagnosis during an appearance on In Depth with Graham Bensinger, when he shared that doctors found a tumor on his kidney in 2015. He had the tumor removed and was in remission until 2020. Unfortunately, an MRI then revealed several tumors on his liver, lung, stomach, spine, and outside the kidneys, he shared. One tumor, located on his liver, was the size of “a small lemon.” It was too big to remove, and the side effects were harrowing. At that point, he was told he only had a few years to live.

“It wasn’t looking good,” Lundgren told Fox News last year. “I mean, there was a doctor in London who basically told me you should stop working and spend more time with your family. Then I realized it was serious.”

His Powerful Recovery

After getting a second opinion, Lundgren changed his course of treatment. Luckily, the pivot worked, and his tumors started shrinking. By 2022, the tumors were almost gone.

In 2024, Lundgren took to Instagram to share a video of himself at UCLA going in to eliminate the last tumor.

“Since there are no cancer cells in my body anymore, I guess I’ll be cancer-free, so I’m looking forward to this procedure,” he shared. He noted that while it’s been a “rough ride,” the journey taught him how to live in the moment.

He captioned the video with gratitude and excitement “for a bright future.”

‘90210’ Star Gets Candid About Losing Luke Perry and Shannen Doherty: ‘It’s Hard for Me’

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 12:22pm

Actress Gabrielle Carterisis opening up about the deaths of her two Beverly Hills, 90210 castmates, Luke Perry andShannen Doherty.

During an appearance on a February 2026 episode of Still Here Hollywood Podcast w/ Steve Kmetko, Carteris referenced that Perry died in 2019 following a stroke and Doherty died in 2024 after battling Stage 4 breast cancer. Carteris said Perry, who was 52 when he died, was her friend.

"He was young and it was hard," said Carteris, who played Andrea Zuckerman during the first five seasons of Beverly Hills, 90210.

According to Carteris, she and Perry, who played Dylan McKay, were in the process of "working on the reboot of 90210" just before his death.

"He was a part of the conversations and then he was gone. And I don't know if I've really, I think there's so much public stuff about, asking about it," said Carteris during the interview. "It's hard for me. Still to this day I don't know if I've really taken it in."

Carteris also said that she and her Beverly Hills, 90210 co-stars were shocked when Doherty, who played Brenda Walsh, died at the age of 52.

"We had talked about her being sick when we were doing the show, the reboot. I didn't know and nobody in the cast knew that this was it. We thought she was just fighting through it. For me, it was more shock," said the actress on the podcast interview.

She also said she felt "sad for Shannen" as she believed she had "a really hard life."

While recording the Still Here Hollywood Podcast w/ Steve Kmetko podcast episode, Carteris said she and her Beverly Hills, 90210 castmates, which include Tori Spelling, Brian Austin Green, Jason Priestley, and Jennie Garth, have a close relationship. She explained that she and her former co-stars often "do appearances together" for fan conventions.

"I think now we're more together in each other's lives than we have been in years," said Carteris.

Beverly Hills, 90210 had a 10-season run until 2000.

Scream 7 Star Neve Campbell Has Surprising Revelation About Ghostface Voice Actor

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 12:15pm

For nearly three decades, the Scream franchise has lived by a simple, terrifying rule: trust no one, especially if they are holding a cordless phone. It is a well-known fact that the faces behind the Ghostface mask change with every sequel. However, the voice remained the same and continues to send shivers down every spine. Now, legacy star Neve Campbell is pulling back the curtain on the psychological games played behind the cameras to keep the terror authentic.

In an interview with Rotten Tomatoes, the Scream 7actor revealed a surprising bit of trivia that changed how she prepared for the role of Sidney Prescott. Despite being the primary target of the hooded killer for years, Campbell didn't actually meet the man behind Ghostface's voice, Roger L. Jackson, until the production of the third film in the franchise.

"I didn't meet Roger L. Jackson, I don't think, until the third film [Scream 3]," Campbell said. The decision to keep the cast and the voice actor separate wasn't just a scheduling quirk; it was a deliberate masterstroke by director Wes Craven. The actor added, "They (makers) actually decided that it would be best that none of the cast actually meet him. That we really should just have the idea of hearing this astounding voice and feel what we felt from the phone."

During the shooting, Jackson wasn't just recorded in a booth months later. The voice actor was often hidden somewhere on set, tucked away behind a corner, actually speaking to the cast members in real-time through the prop phones. Campbell believes that it was a great choice to keep him hidden because it allowed for an organic energy that a pre-recorded track could have never replicated in Scream.

"[It] was a really good choice because, oh my god, that voice is incredible. It's terriyfing and I do remember hearing it for the first time. I remember finding it very helpful with performance," the actor said.

While most fans now recognize Jackson as the friendly, soft-spoken veteran of the horror community, his performance as Ghostface remains a masterclass in vocal manipulation. From the "Hello, Sidney" that started it all to the more aggressive taunts in the later entries, Jackson's ability to change his tone and menace cemented Ghostface as a unique slasher icon.

With Scream 7 releasing later this week and Campbell returning, it is clear that fans are once again set to experience the chilling dynamic between the iconic ‘Final Girl’ and the voice that has haunted her for decades.

Scream 7 is scheduled to hit theaters in the US on February 27, 2026.

'CIA' Star Tom Ellis Reunites with Former 'Lucifer' Alum on Set of New Spinoff Series

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 12:13pm

Dick Wolf's latest FBI franchise spinoff, CIA, has Lucifer star Tom Ellis trade in his devilish horns for a badge. The lead actor got a welcome surprise on the set of his new series when fellow Lucifer co-star Aimee Garcia visited the set.

Garcia shared a photo of her and Ellis behind-the-scenes of his new series, looking dapper in a suit ensemble. She also shared an inside look into the set on her Instagram stories, like Ellis's character's desk, and him in hair and makeup.

Like any good friend and co-star, Garcia captioned the photo showing off her excitement to see the actor take on a new leading role.

"Excited to watch @officialtomellis look devilishly dapper AND solve crime in @ciacbs Monday at 10 p.m. ET/PT," she wrote.

Instead of warding off Hell and falling in love on Earth, Ellis stars as Colin Glass, a slick operative who teams up with FBI Special Agent Bill Goodman (Nick Gehlfuss) in the FBI spinoff. The series released its first episode on Feb. 23 to rave reviews from fans.

"Together they will work covert operations in New York, uncovering international plots, terrorist cells, and geopolitical secrets," reads the synopsis. "On CIA, Bill will learn the rules of this murky world on the fly as Colin leads him deeper into spy games where only one thing is clear — their work keeps America safe, even if no one will ever know what they did in the shadows."

CIA isn't too far from Ellis's roots with Lucifer, still taking on the small screen to tackle crime and help police catch the culprit. In an interview with US Weekly, Ellis revealed having kept his knowledge about FBI to a minimum and calls CIA a complementary show to the original instead of a spinoff.

Ellis starred on Lucifer as Lucifer Morningstar in 2016 alongside Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, D. B. Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Rachael Harris, and Garcia. The series revolved around an alternate version of the DC Comics character, where Lucifer leaves hell behind to live on Earth and run a nightclub. He soon meets Detective Chloe Decker (German) and becomes a consultant for the LAPD. Garcia played the role of Ella Lopez, the LAPD's spunky forensic scientist.

Lucifer originally aired on Fox before its cancellation after three seasons. Fan campaigns to bring back the series led Netflix to pick it up for three more seasons until its finale in 2021, and it became one of the highest-viewed series on the streaming platform at the time.

Jeff Probst Reveals Why He Went to Therapy Before 'Survivor’s First Season

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 12:11pm

To say Survivor's iconic first season was building the plane as it flies would be an understatement. Nobody truly knew what they were getting themselves into when they flew out to Pulau Tiga to forever change their lives — and the face of television. And that includes not only the 16 castaways but also everyone behind the scenes. Including Jeff Probst.

The veteran host gets into his initial thoughts on filming back in 2000 in the new book Survivor: Forged by Fire. The tome serves as largely a photographic recounting of 25 years of the hit CBS reality series, curated by the show's Director of Photography, Scott Duncan. The pictures depict everything from camp life to challenges to Tribal Council, spanning everything from Borneo to the upcoming Season 50. And scattered throughout the pages are some of Probst's musings, as he looks back on where his headspace was before he set foot in the South China Sea, and his life would be changed forever.

"I took it all seriously right from the start," he writes. "After I got the job, but in the weeks before I left for Pulau Tiga, I decided to go to therapy—not for myself, but to try to get a better understanding of what the players were about to encounter. What happens to a person when you take away everything familiar? When you drop them into the middle of a jungle and leave them to figure it out?"

"I crammed in as many sessions as I could," he continues, "trying to imagine the emotional shifts, the moments of doubt, the ways they might surface—sometimes in ways even the players themselves wouldn't see coming."

There's been a lot of talk in modern discourse about how the Emmy winner wears many hats on the island, especially during Tribal Council. He's a simultaneous moderator, storyteller and therapist, both commenting on the dynamics he believes he's seeing while simultaneously making sure the space is an open forum for players to speak their minds — or even stand up and change plans. And it seems that, long before he became an executive producer, Probst had an innate interest in the constantly shifting psychological state of the players as they battle starvation, exhaustion, and competition.

But Probst underwent even more preparation than just a recurring spot on the therapist's couch. He researched various studies on group dynamics, and did a deep dive on Joseph Campbell. He had a fascination with the concept of the "hero's journey," particularly the idea of "Separation, Initiation, and Return" when it comes to people leaving the real world behind, immersing themselves fully in the wilderness, and going back to their lives forever changed (and perhaps with a big paycheck to boot).

"I kept a folder filled with all my notes," he writes, "little reminders about the ways groups could influence individual thinking, and how difficult and important trust would be, given the players are strangers. I just wanted to be of service to the format, whatever that ended up meaning."

It's safe to say, given both his immense preparation before such an unknown experience, as well as his immense dedication for 26 years and 50 seasons, he has succeeded in that mission.

Celebrity Cruises Cancels Trip One Day Before Departure: 'We Sincerely Apologize For This Unexpected Change'

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 12:00pm

Less than a day before it was scheduled to depart on an 11-night cruise, Celebrity Cruises sent out the dreaded email no prospective voyager ever wants to receive.

According to Cruise Industry News, the fan-favorite cruise band informed customers that their planned trip aboard the Celebrity Infinity was officially canceled, owing to technical issues aboard the ship.

“During our previous voyage, the ship experienced a technical issue, and while our experts have been working diligently, we need additional time to complete necessary assessments and repairs,” Celebrity said.

“After carefully considering all options, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the February 16, 2026, sailing," the cruise line continued. “We sincerely apologize for this unexpected change and the disruption this causes to your travel plans.”

As mentioned above, the Celebrity Infinity was originally slated to depart for an 11-night cruise from Greece's Port of Piraeus on February 16. Due to the issues onboard the ship, however, Celebrity has issued a full refund to customers who paid for any portion of their cruise.

“As a gesture of goodwill, you’ll also receive a Future Cruise Credit worth 100 percent of your cruise fare, valid for any Celebrity Cruises sailing within the next year,” Celebrity added.

Similarly, the cruise line mentioned that any guests who booked a flight through the brand's Flights by Celebrity program will be contacted by workers to discuss return flights home. Anyone who booked their flights independently will be reimbursed up to $200 per guest for domestic flights and $400 per guests for international flights.

“We will also reimburse up to two nights of hotel accommodations, at up to $300 per night, to support you as you make new flight arrangements," Celebrity explained.

“While we can’t give you back the time invested in your vacation, we are committed to ensuring you feel fully supported as you adjust your plans,” the company apologized.

1975 Classic Ranked 'Greatest Ever’ Led Zeppelin Song

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 11:57am

The song named the "greatest" by Led Zeppelin was never released as a single. In a ranking of the  50 Greatest Led Zeppelin Songs posted by MOJO, the 1975 Physical Graffiti track "Kashmir" was ranked as No. 1 of the band’s Top 50 songs.

The outlet agreed with lead singer Robert Plant, who said in 1988 that “Stairway to Heaven” was “not the definitive Led Zeppelin song - 'Kashmir' is.”

MOJO described the song as a blend of “ancient blues, psychedelic dreaming and signature brawn, charged with new, exotic risk,” and called it the iconic band’s “greatest on every count.”

On the greatest Led Zeppelin songs ranking list, “Kashmir” was followed by 1971's “When the Levee Breaks,” while “Stairway to Heaven” ranked at No. 4.

“Kashmir" was never released as a single, so it never appeared on the Billboard Top 100 chart.  But in today’s digital world, it is the second most lucrative song for the legendary band. According to Billboard, as of  2019, “Kashmir’s" total revenue from download stores and on-demand platforms exceeded $1,421,130. While that was roughly half the take for a ”Stairway to Heaven,” it beat out songs like “Whole Lotta Love” and “Black Dog,” which were both singles in the ‘70s.

Plant has gone so far as to say he wishes Led Zeppelin would be “remembered for ‘Kashmir’ more than ‘Stairway To Heaven.'"  The rocker told Classic Rock, “It’s so right; there’s nothing overblown, no vocal hysterics. Perfect Zeppelin.”

While the vocals are sans hysterics, the riff is one of the most iconic in rock history. Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page told Rolling Stone in 2015 that he worked closely with late drummer John Bonham on the song’s riff and drum-heavy song.

“I had a good half-dozen things [songs] at least,”  Page recalled of the Physical Graffiti sessions at the iconic Headley Hall studio in England. “And one of them — the first one that I couldn’t wait to get the drums in the hall, to get this big drum sound and then play the riff of — was Kashmir.”

“Musically, it’s a round, like 'Frère Jacques,' where you can lay things on top of it. That was the idea of having this riff that was gonna be really intense, and probably pretty majestic as well, but quite intriguing,” the Led Zeppelin legend shared. “But the fact was, it was going to be built around the sound of Headley, and the drums in the hall.”
