Trader Joe’s Adds Classic Plain Toaster Waffles to Its Frozen Lineup
As over-the-top as some Trader Joe’s items can be, sometimes, shoppers just want to keep things plain and simple!
Up until late 2024, Trader Joe’s carried plain Toaster Waffles in their freezer section. However, after a voluntary recall related to a potential Listeria contamination, they’ve been missing off shelves.
Until now, that is! As of February 24, Trader Joe’s is offering its plain Toaster Waffles once more. Per the official website, “Our freezers have long been a destination for waffle lovers, but until now, there’s been a notable gap: a truly plain waffle that plays well with everything. Trader Joe’s Toaster Waffles step neatly into that space.

The site adds, "Made in Belgium (where they know a thing or two about waffles), these Waffles are built for the Toaster first and foremost; while classic Belgian waffles are thick with deep pockets, these are thinner, with shallow pockets. Crafted with whole eggs, wheat flour, and oat flour, they deliver a tender, satisfying bite and a subtle sweetness that works equally well with sweet or savory toppings.”
While they are designed to go straight from the freezer to the toaster, you can easily pop them in the air fryer or oven. No matter what, these waffles are designed to crisp up quickly and evenly.

Retailing for $2.79 for an 8.46-ounce box (eight waffles), Trader Joe’s recommends eating them with butter and syrup, topped with fresh fruit and yogurt, or with mashed avocado and a fried egg.
Other Trader Joe’s waffle flavors include Belgian pearl sugar, blueberry, cinnamon raisin, mini buttermilk, and gluten-free waffles.
If you're simply not a waffle person, you can choose from popular frozen breakfast staples at Trader Joe’s like hash brown patties, breakfast burritos, egg frittatas, and mini pancake bites.
A ‘Scream’ Favorite Nearly Walked Away From the Franchise for Good
Neve Campbell thought she was closing the door on the Scream franchise for good after turning down Scream 6. She stepped away from playing Sidney Prescott after declining the film over what she described as an inequitable pay offer.
She is back for Scream 7, which hits theaters on February 27. Ahead of the film's debut, she opened up about the decision she made for Scream 6. She doesn't regret it.
On February 24, Campbell talked about her decision with Gayle Kingon CBS Mornings.
Campbell revealed that when she chose to reject the offer she received to do Scream 6, "I thought that was it. I knew that there was a good chance that would be it."
She stands by her decision, but she admits she was sad about it. "When I knew they were having their first day of shooting and I wasn't there, I was like, 'That sucks.' But at the same time I knew that my decision was right," Campbell explained.
In turning down the offer she received for Scream 6, Campbell explained, "I just didn't think I could live with myself walking on set. I just didn't feel right."
Campbell added, "I just knew that my value to this franchise was bigger than what had been offered. For me, I needed to make that choice."
What Campbell shared in her new interview echoes what she said in 2022 regarding her absence from Scream 6.
As People noted, in 2022 Campbell issued a statement explaining her "very difficult decision" regarding not returning for the sixth installment of the franchise.
"Sadly I won't be making the next Scream film. As a woman I have had to work extremely hard in my career to establish my value, especially when it comes to Scream," Campbell stated.
She continued, "I felt the offer that was presented to me did not equate to the value I have brought to the franchise."
While she turned down the offer to do Scream 6, Campbell indicated she would be open to a return to the franchise later on. She was prepared that she may not receive that opportunity. However, Campbell was pleased with the respectful offer she received to reprise her iconic role of Sidney Prescott in Scream 7.
If the Scream franchise keeps going, Campbell indicates she's interested in continuing to play Sidney, given the right offer.
Bestselling Author B.K. Borison Announces Movie Adaptation of Rom-Com Book on Sequel’s Release Day
Everything keeps coming up roses for B.K. Borison readers. Not only did the New York Times bestselling author just release her new book, And Now, Back to You, but she also dropped major news about a movie adaptation of its predecessor, First-Time Caller.
“Big day for Heartstrings lovers,” Borison captioned a Tuesday, February 24, Instagram post announcing the film. “Truly didn’t even ever think to dream this big. Thankful to @acupofhappyproductions for believing in this book. Grab your popcorn and your pineapplepizza, babes. We’re going to the movies.”
Borison also reacted to the news in a statement to Variety on Tuesday.
“This story is so special to me, and I’m thrilled to be partnering with A Cup of Happy Productions to bring these characters to life,” she said. “I wrote this book as a love letter to love and I simply can’t wait to see it on the screen.”
First-Time Caller and And Now, Back to You are both part of the Heartstrings book series, which is inspired by Nora Ephron’s ‘90s romanticcomedies. The announcement about the First-Time Caller film came just hours after Borison released its follow-up novel, And Now, Back to You.
Released in February 2025, First-Time Caller introduces readers to Heartstrings, Baltimore’s fictional romance hotline. In the Sleepless in Seattle retelling, jaded radio host Aiden Valentine and single mom Lucie Stone find their happily ever after when Lucie’s daughter calls into the station seeking dating advice for her mother. First-Time Caller made the New York Times bestsellers list and is a finalist for Book of the Month’s Lolly Award.
And Now, Back to You follows competing meteorologists Jackson Clark and Delilah Stewart as the total opposites work together to cover a historic snowstorm. The When Harry Met Sally-inspired story finds the pair exploring their chemistry and catching feelings along the way.
An as-yet-untitled third book in the Heartstrings series is expected to be released in early 2027. The novel will be Borison’s take on You’ve Got Mail.
Prior to announcing the First-Time Caller adaptation, Borison celebrated And Now, Back to You hitting bookshelves.
View this post on Instagram“And now, back to you. Always right back to you,” she wrote via Instagram on Tuesday. “The second book in the Heartstrings series is now officially yours. Last night someone asked me what I hope you take away from this book and I said this: I hope when you finish the last page, you feel cozy and cared for, and you realize that there’s not a single thing you need to change about yourself to be worthy of the love you deserve. Welcome back to Heartstrings, baby. Baltimore’s romance hotline.”
Borison is also the author of the Ghosted series. Its first book, Good Spirits, became an instant No. 1 New York Times bestseller upon its October 2025 release. The second novel, Grim Tidings, will be out later this year on September 15.
Borison first rose to popularity with the Lovelight series, which includes Lovelight Farms, In the Weeds, Mixed Signals and Business Casual.

The concert will also be livestreamed globally for free at AbolishICE.live, with additional streaming support from Meidas Touch.
Organizers say the event will serve both as a memorial and a fundraiser. Proceeds and donations connected to the concert will benefit organizations assisting families, small businesses and community members in the Twin Cities area.
Beneficiaries include:
- Neighbors Helping Neighbors rent assistance fund
- Show Up for Eat Street small business fundraiser
- Immigrant Law Center
- South Minneapolis Families Fund
Local leaders emphasized the healing intent of the gathering.
Anna Schmitz, Executive Director of Whittier Alliance, said, “We're looking forward to having a time for the community to come together to honor Alex's life and show the strength, resilience, and beauty of this neighborhood.”
Jacob Thomas, Communications Director for Common Defense and a Minneapolis resident, added, “Minnesota has endured so much tragedy over these past few months and yet through it all, Minneapolis stood strong, protected our neighbors, and cared for each other. The impact on the community, however, will be long-lasting. This concert provides a space for the community to come together to honor Alex and Renee and to raise needed funds to help.”
Mary Corcoran, Co-Founder of Save America Movement, said the memorial concert is meant to create a space for reflection and unity while raising support for affected families.

The memorial performance comes amid new music from the band. On March 17, Dropkick Murphys will release an eight-song split EP with hardcore band Haywire titled New England Forever. The project will first be available as an exclusive 12-inch vinyl release during the band’s tour, which kicked off on February 9.

Glenn Powell Is Expanding His Smash Kitchen Line With a Tasty New Item and Fans Say It's 'Actually the Best'
Hollywood actor Glenn Powell's better-for-you food brand is heading somewhere new. After co-founding Smash Kitchen around pantry staples like condiments and cooking oils, the brand is officially stepping into the snack aisle with its first-ever line of kettle-cooked potato chips.
The move reinforces Smash Kitchen's commitment to real ingredients and to no artificial shortcuts, which helped it stand out in the crowded celebrity food space. According to the brand, the chips are made with USA-grown, non-GMO potatoes and cooked in small batches for added crunch and texture. There are no artificial flavors or artificial colors—just straightforward ingredients and bold seasoning.

Clean-Ingredient Kettle ChipsCourtesy Smash Kitchen
The debut lineup includes four flavors: Classic Sea Salt, American-Style BBQ, Hot Honey BBQ and Rosemary. The range balances traditional snack staples with slightly elevated options, particularly the rosemary variety, which feels more specialty-market than gas-station chip rack.
Smash Kitchen describes the new chips as being built on three simple pillars: great flavors, all-natural ingredients and real crunch. The kettle-style cooking method delivers a thicker, sturdier chip with more texture than standard thin-cut varieties, giving the lineup a premium feel while still staying approachable.
View this post on InstagramKettle-style chips have carved out a strong niche in the snack category, appealing to shoppers looking for thicker, crunchier snacks with more texture and potato flavor. Unlike traditional thin-cut chips, kettle chips are cooked in batches rather than on a continuous conveyor, which creates their signature crunch and slightly irregular shape. The format has become a go-to for brands trying to signal a more premium or small-batch feel, even at mainstream grocery price points. By entering the category with familiar flavors instead of novelty mashups, Smash Kitchen appears to be positioning its chips as everyday staples rather than limited-time flavor experiments.

Early Buzz Is BuildingInitial reaction online suggests fans are already on board. In the comments of a recent Instagram reel announcing the launch, one user called the chips "actually the best," and "So excited they are finally out!!!!!" Others praised the texture and seasoning balance. The immediate social buzz signals that Smash Kitchen's expansion into snacks may resonate just as strongly as its original pantry offerings.
Celebrity-backed food brands don't always translate into repeat grocery buys. But by leaning into simple ingredients and familiar flavors rather than novelty gimmicks, Smash Kitchen appears to be positioning these chips as everyday staples instead of limited-time hype. If the crunch lives up to the promise, Powell's brand may have just found its most snackable hit yet.

Martin Short’s only daughter, Katherine Short, has died. She was 42 years old.
TMZ reported the news today, Feb. 24, confirming that the “LAPD and Fire Department responded to her Hollywood Hills home Monday, shortly after 6:40 p.m. PT, where she was found deceased.”
The cause of death was determined to be suicide.
“It is with profound grief that we confirm the passing of Katherine Hartley Short,” a representative told the outlet. “The Short family is devastated by this loss, and asks for privacy at this time. Katherine was beloved by all and will be remembered for the light and joy she brought into the world.”
The daughter of Short and Nancy Dolman, Katherine was a social worker in Los Angeles and the eldest of two siblings, Henry Short, 36, and Oliver Short, 39.
Though the Short family have yet to resond further, Katherine’s neighbors offered kinds words, reacting to the news and complimenting her home.
According to Us Weekly, a next-door neighbor said Katherine was a “great neighbor and gardener.” The resident who agreed to speak with the publication under anonymity added, “It’s incredibly sad.”
The outlet went on to share that Katherine’s home was well-kept and still displayed holiday decorations for Valentine’s Day, which included a pink wreath and a giant red heart on her front door.
“She was very nice but this is a quiet neighborhood and to be fair, we don’t see too many neighbors usually out,” a neighbor from two doors down said, adding that Katherine was quiet and that he didn’t hear anything out of the ordinary the day she died.
A third neighbor told Us Weekly they recalled Katherine sitting on her balcony occasionally and would sometimes trade hellos with each other.

Shoppers Are Racing to Sam's Club for This 'Beautiful' Mahjong Set Celebrating Lunar New Year
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
Here's the truth—I didn't really understand the allure of mahjong at first. My mother-in-law plays a standing game with friends and talks about it a lot, but I couldn't really wrap my head around the fun of it. However, mahjong has this sneaky way of pulling you in and the next thing you know, you're hooked. The game is thoughtful without feeling stressful and social without being chaotic (there's already enough chaos in this world).
You're chatting, snacking and catching up, but you're also instinctively plotting your next move. The gentle clack of the tiles and the rhythm of the game make the whole thing feel comforting and a little timeless. It's the kind of activity that turns an ordinary evening into something a bit more meaningful among friends.
JoyC Brands Deluxe Acrylic Lunar New Year Mahjong Starter Kit, $149 at Sam's ClubSam's Club
But then there's the aesthetic side of the game, which appeals to my Libra heart. Collecting beautiful mahjong sets can be almost as much fun as playing. A pretty set makes game night feel special before the first tile is even drawn. That's why a Lunar New Year–themed set at Sam's Club feels like such a fun find. It brings a festive, elegant touch to the table while still being something you'll want to display long after the last round is over. In fact, that's probably why this particular set is getting so much attention across social media.
Related: Sam's Club's Pretty Pink Bread Oven Is Perfect For Baking Up a Fresh Loaf
The set includes everything you need to play. (Minus the friends, of course. You need to supply your crew.) There are the racks, pushers, dice, chips, mat, rulebook and a lovely carrying case that comes with a matching tile bag.
Mahjong aficionados are loving how vibrant the set is, turning it into decor rather than just setting it up for game night.
"I love the horse and vibrant red," says a Sam's Club shopper in their review. "It is not only stunning in looks, but appears to be high quality and impressive. The bag and misc. items are certainly a plus. It was my first Mahjong purchase so I have nothing to compare it to, but I'm certainly enjoying it as a center piece in my game room. I don't take it down after use because it is so appealing to the eyes."
That feels like high praise, no?
Customers who say the Sam's Club set offers good value for the price aren't wrong. While $149 sounds like a lot to plunk down for a game, mahjong sets can cost over $500 elsewhere. Like the Oh My Mahjong Board Game Bundle at Anthropologie, which costs $540. (Yikes!) Is it a gorgeous set? Absolutely! But if you're new to the game, you're probably going to want to start with something a little more affordable, like this JoyC Brands set from Sam's.

Demi Lovato Explains Why She’s Hitting the Road After Saying She Wouldn't Tour Again: ‘It’s Difficult for People To Understand'
Demi Lovato is about to kick off her It's Not That Deep Tour in just a matter of weeks—but there was a point in time that she never thought she'd be on the road again.
The longtime musician, 33, recently admitted that she had a change of heart about touring after telling The Hollywood Reporterin 2024 that fans would probably not see her on the road again. But in a new interview, Lovato says any hardships that touring brings are worth it to make the connection with her fans.
"I think what's difficult for people to understand is how taxing it can be on the body, on the mind, so that's the reason, probably, why I said that," Lovato told People in a piece published on Tuesday (Feb. 24).
She continued, "It's just a lot of work, but the reward of playing in front of your fans and getting to see their reactions to my new music, to older songs... It's the feeling when I see a fan crying through a smile because they're so excited to be there."
Lovato added that seeing the reaction from her fans leaves her "speechless and so grateful" and is what she's looking forward to the most.
"There's no words for it," she said. "As hard as touring can be, it is so much fun, and that's what I'm looking forward to is the connection with my fans."
As for how she's preparing for hitting the road, Lovato says she's been in the gym working on cardio and building muscle.
"There's a lot of training that goes into touring. I've been for the past few months in the gym making sure I'm doing a lot of cardio so I'm not out of breath when I sing and dance at the same time," Lovato explained.
She added, "Also, you want to make sure that you prepare your muscles so I have some back issues and getting my glutes and my quads strong so that I'm protecting my body. And then of course, rehearsing. I'm going to rehearse a lot for this tour, so there's a lot of work that goes into it and it's going to be so worth it. I can't wait."
The It's Not That Deep Tour kicks off in Orlando on April 13th and runs through late May.
Lisa Rinna Says ‘RHOBH’ Expected Her To Keep Filming Days After Her Mother’s Death
While looking back on her tumultuous final season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa Rinna says she now regrets returning to film just three days after her mother Lois’ death at 93 — admitting she believes stepping away wasn’t truly an option.
At the time, Rinna, 62, pushed through production despite overwhelming grief, but she now recognizes she was in shock, a reality she says shaped the anger and tears viewers saw play out onscreen.
"It was very cathartic for me to write this book and to just tell my side of the story," she said on the Dinner's On Me Podcast, hosted by Jesse Tyler Ferguson, about her new memoir, You Better Believe I'm Gonna Talk About It. "To tell what was going on with me and how I felt about it, 'cause there was so much speculation at that time. And imagine grieving your mother's death in public. Like the whole thing was just a really bad, perfect storm."
Reflecting on the tough time in her life, she wished the season had gone differently. "You know, it was just really unfortunate. In hindsight, it would've been better if I had said, guys, listen, I'm gonna take this season off. I'm just gonna take a break," she said.
View this post on InstagramReturning to work so soon after Lois died was a mistake Rinna now believes. "You don't know what you're doing. And, in hindsight, if I just said, you know what, lemme take this time. If I can come back, great. If not, I'll come back next season. But I'm a worker bee, you know, I don't think like that. I'm like, I have a contract, I gotta go to work," she recalled.
While it would have been better if she had taken that route, Rinna, who has been in the entertainment business for decades, knew producers wouldn't have allowed it. "They would've said, no, you have a contract, we'll sue you if you don't come to work," she said. "No, they needed me. I also knew that they needed me on the show at this point, so it was not gonna be like, oh, sure, sweetie. Go, go. Take your time."

Trader Joe’s Debuts Seasonal Marshmallow Eggs for Spring
When it comes to springtime candy, everyone knows that Peeps reign supreme, but if you happen to be a Trader Joe’s shopper, America’s No. 1 grocery store is offering its own alternative!
Retailing for $1.49 per 1.5-ounce package (three eggs), Trader Joe’s describes the Marshmallow Eggs as having a “fantastically fluffy, awesomely airy texture” and “a sweet (but not too sweet) flavor, with a colorful, basket-ready appearance.”
Of course, TJ does acknowledge that their Marshmallow Eggs share similar characteristics to Peeps. “At first glance, TJ’s Marshmallow Eggs look a lot like other brightly colored, often anthropomorphized sugar-dusted marshmallows on the market. But turn the package over, and you’ll see that the similarities end well before the first bite,” the official website reads.

“Our Marshmallow Eggs are hatched, er, made without the use of corn syrup or gelatin, yet they’re still playfully pillowy and sumptuously soft,” TJ adds. “They’re coated in colorful, fine-grain sugar, yet their pink, purple, green, and golden hues come from vegetable juice, spirulina extract, and turmeric, not artificial dyes.”
Because the Marshmallow Eggs are seasonal, they'll, of course, only be available for a limited time, so be sure to stock up fast for those Easter baskets or other springtime festivities.
If marshmallow snacks aren’t your vibe, Trader Joe's has you covered with spring staples like mini chocolate eggs, pastel-themed cookies, and bright citrus-flavored desserts.
Additionally, TJ has recently introduced — or reintroduced — new fun items like the Spicy Cheese Crunchies and the Toasted Coconut Mini Sheet Cake.

The Genius Spoon Trick We Wish We'd Known About Sooner
Kitchen hacks (at least the good ones) have a way of sticking around for a reason: they save time, reduce frustration and make everyday cooking just a little easier. It often feels like our grandparents knew dozens of these tricks by heart, relying on simple tools and clever shortcuts long before viral videos made them trendy again. Now, thanks to social media, many of those practical ideas are resurfacing and, sometimes, they’re even better than we remember.
I’m always looking for ways to make cooking smoother, especially when it comes to ingredients I use often. For example, fresh ginger is one of my favorites. It adds bold flavor to everything from stir-fries to marinades, but peeling the nubby knob-shaped root* can be tricky. (*It's technically a rhizome, but that's a topic for another time.)
I’ve tried using a knife and a potato peeler, and while both technically work, neither felt especially easy or efficient. I’d often end up with ginger that was missing chunks or still had pieces of the skin stuck to it, neither of which was ideal.
That’s why I was intrigued when I ran across a video from chef and social media star Nick DiGiovanni (@nickskitchen) showing how to peel ginger with a spoon, a method that looked almost too good to be true. It looked simple and easy and I had everything I needed right there in my kitchen.
Curious to see if the trick was as effective as it looked, I gave it a try, and the results were surprisingly impressive. Here's what you need to know.

What You Need for This Ginger-Peeling HackOne of the best parts of this hack is how minimal the setup is. You don’t need any specialty gadgets or fancy tools, just whole, fresh ginger and a regular spoon. That’s it!
Start with unpeeled ginger root, ideally firm and fresh. The fresher the ginger, the easier it is to work with and the cleaner the peel will come off. If you’re working with a large piece, it helps to break off a smaller section first. Ginger naturally separates at the knobs, so you can snap it into more manageable chunks without needing a knife.
As for the spoon, any standard metal spoon will work. You don’t need anything sharp or heavy-duty, so just grab whatever's handy.

The method itself is straightforward. After breaking off a manageable piece of ginger, hold it firmly in one hand and the spoon in the other. Using the edge of the spoon, apply light pressure and scrape downward along the surface of the ginger.
The motion is similar to using a potato peeler, but gentler. For rough or knobby areas, adjust your angle slightly to get into all the curves and crevices. Instead of slicing into the ginger, like a knife or peeler can, the spoon lifts just the thin outer skin away. As you scrape, the peel comes off, revealing the aromatic flesh underneath.
Related: I Juiced Lemons Using 6 Different Methods and the Winner Was Very Clear
I went into this hack cautiously optimistic, but I was genuinely surprised by how well it worked. The spoon removed the skin quickly without taking big chunks of ginger with it, which is something that always seemed to happen when I used a knife or peeler.
Another thing I appreciated was how forgiving the method is. There’s no pressure to get perfect strokes or worry about cutting too deeply. The spoon naturally limits how much you can remove, making it easy to avoid wasting any ginger as you peel it.
Using the side of the spoon can also help dig into any stubborn spots. That’s one of the biggest advantages of this method, in my opinion. It naturally follows the shape of the root, helping you remove every bit of the skin.
It also felt safer than using a sharp tool. The spoon glided over uneven spots more easily, and navigating the ginger’s natural curves was simple. By the time I finished, the ginger was fully peeled in what felt like no time at all. Bonus: It's so simple and safe that I could hand off this prep work to one of my kids!

Tips and Tricks To Keep in MindA few small tweaks can make this hack even smoother. First, keep a paper towel nearby. As you scrape, both the spoon and your hands can get slightly wet and slippery, especially if the ginger is very fresh. A quick wipe helps maintain a good grip and keeps things tidy.
It also helps to peel over a cutting board or bowl. The ginger skin comes off in thin pieces, and they can be surprisingly hard to gather if they scatter across the counter. Catching the peelings in one place makes cleanup much easier.
Once you’re done, give the peeled ginger a quick rinse under cool water. This removes any lingering bits of skin and leaves it ready to slice, grate or mince.

Micky Dolenz Shares the First Press Release That Launched The Monkees 60 Years Ago
Micky Dolenz shared a major Monkees memory. On Feb. 24, the actor and singer, who starred on the NBCsitcom, The Monkees, from 1966 to 1968, posted to Instagram to share an image of the show’s very first press release ahead of its 60th anniversary this fall.
“60 years ago this month, the adventure officially began, when NBC sent out the very first press release announcing a brand-new television series coming that fall called The Monkees,” Dolenz, 80, captioned the post. “At that point, none of us had any idea what was about to happen. We were a few young actors and musicians stepping into something completely new -- and suddenly there were cameras, scripts, songs & more excitement than any of us could have imagined.”
Dolenz, who is the last living Monkees star, noted that 60 year later, it was “amazing to see it all laid out on paper before a single episode had aired.” He added that the short-lived television show “turned into six decades of music, laughter, and memories that are still going strong.”
View this post on InstagramThe three-page typed press release announced the new “weekly half-hour comedy about an unknown quartet of wild, way-out but impoverished singer-musicians." As it introduced stars Dolenz, Davy Jones, Peter Tork, and Mike Nesmith (aka “Wool Hat”), the teaser listed the new stars’ past credits.
Jones’ impressive past in the musical Oliver on Broadway was noted, while Tork was listed as an accomplished musician. Nesmith was also described as a singer, guitarist, and composer. The blurb about Dolenz, listed under his childhood stage name Mickey Braddock, read: “The quartet drummer was the star of NBC’s Circus Boy series for three years starting at the age of 10. He also has played roles on such series as Peyton Place and Mr. Novak and has made periodic nightclub appearances.”
The release concluded by announcing the series would be produced by Screen Gems in association with NBC.
The Monkees aired on NBC from Sept 12, 1966, to March 25, 1968. While it only aired for 58 episodes, the series spawned a music phenomenon with chart-topping records, concert tours, a big-screen movie, and a 1980s revival thanks to MTV.

In a 2023 interview with Woman’s World, Dolenz reflected on the legacy of the short-lived sitcom. “One of the producers of The Monkees once said, ‘We just caught lighting in a bottle,’ and that’s how I look at it,” he shared. “It was the writing, it was the songwriting, it was the comedy of the TV show, the directing and, of course, the four of us.”
“I was happy to be cast in a television show about a band,” The Monkees star added. “I was playing the role of the wacky drummer, and part of that job was they’d say, ‘Okay, on Tuesday night you’re going to record a lead vocal for a couple of songs.’ I approached it as an entertainer, an actor, and a singer. That was my job.”
