The 3 Birth Months With Divine Intuition

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 11:52am

Intuitive souls possess a heightened sense of awareness; they can often perceive shifts in energy before anyone even speaks and recognize when something feels off without needing any evidence beyond their inner knowing. Their instincts are remarkably accurate, giving them an almost otherworldly quality. While anyone can develop their intuition, those born in November, February, and July often exhibit it in a particularly profound way. Astrology can shed light on some of these insightful traits. Read on to learn more about the three most intuitive birth months, according to astrologers.

Which Birth Months Carry Divine Intuition?

Check for your birth month. Disregard your birth date.

Born in November

November is a month of mystery and transformation. As the days grow shorter and the air turns colder, there's a sense of reflection that permeates the atmosphere. People born in this month often embody an introspective, thoughtful nature. People born in December either carry the emotional intensity and strong instincts of a Scorpio or the curiosity and broader perspective of a Sagittarius. Therefore, November-borns tend to have a natural ability to perceive situations deeply and understand more than meets the eye.

People born in November possess a natural instinct for understanding what lies beneath the surface. They can effortlessly read between the lines, sensing motives and detecting hidden emotions. They have a keen awareness of when something lacks authenticity.

Often, they exude a calm intensity—being observant, thoughtful, and quietly powerful. Many people in November also experience vivid dreams or strong gut feelings that often prove accurate. Their intuition feels transformative, acting as an inner compass that guides them through darkness toward the truth.

Born in February

February is the month of quiet visionaries. Deep in winter, February carries a still, contemplative energy. It's a time when the world slows down, and those born during this month often develop a strong inner world as a result.

People born in February are either innovative Aquarians or sensitive Pisceans. This birth month is associated with originality, forward-thinking, and intuitive insights. February-born individuals tend to possess emotional depth, empathy, and a strong spiritual sensibility, enabling them to notice things others might overlook. They often have a knack for sensing future events long before they occur. While they may appear calm, private, or even somewhat distant, deep down, they are highly attuned to emotional and intuitive signals.

Dreams, sudden realizations, and strong gut feelings are common for those born in February. For these individuals, intuition feels otherworldly; ideas and realizations seem to emerge from nowhere yet arrive with a sense of certainty. They trust their instincts, particularly regarding timing, patterns, and people's true intentions.

Born in July

July is a month filled with emotional depth and sacred sensitivity. As the peak of summer, July embodies warmth, nostalgia, and intense emotional currents. Those born in July, whether as sentimental Cancerians—who are deeply intuitive and nurturing—or as radiant Leos—who are eager for authentic self-expression—tend to be emotionally intelligent. They carry a bold confidence and a strong sense of self, encouraging them to trust their hearts and stand firmly in who they are.

Individuals born in July possess a strong sense of intuition rooted in their feelings. They can quickly sense emotional shifts. They often walk into a room and immediately pick up on the mood without anyone having to say a word. Their inner confidence allows them to trust these instincts rather than question them. Many July-born individuals are natural protectors because they experience emotions so fiercely. They have a remarkable ability to read body language, notice changes in tone, and interpret silence accurately.

What makes the intuition of those born in July feel divine is their rare compassion. For them, it’s not just about knowing; it’s about truly understanding. They instinctively sense when someone needs comfort or honesty. Their intuition is guided by the heart.

Why Olympian Eileen Gu Was Asked If She 'Thinks Before She Speaks'

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 11:48am

Eileen Gu is no stranger to bold questions—and thoughtful answers.

During a recent press conference, the 22-year-old Olympic champion was asked point-blank by a reporter, “Do you think before you speak?”

Of course, the reporter on the scene prefaced the blunt question by saying, “this isn’t supposed to be a rude question,” explaining how Gu “answer[s] questions so quickly and so comprehensively.” She then asked Gu if she could “take us into your brain?” which was met with some laughter from the audience and a smile from the athlete.

While some may consider it a loaded prompt, Gu didn’t flinch. “I’m a very introspective young woman,” she replied. “I spend a lot of time in my head...I think I apply a very analytical lens to my own thinking.”

Then she took it a step further, offering insight into the mindset that has fueled her meteoric rise. “You can control what you think,” Gu continued. “Like, you can control how you think and therefore you can control who you are. And especially as a young person…With neuroplasticity on my side I can literally become exactly who I want to be. How cool is that?”

She explained how little, 8-year-old her would be so proud of the woman she’s become today. “I would be obsessed with me today… I think that’s the biggest flex of all time, that you can have little, younger you, be proud of you today.”

She clarified that it’s not “egotistical,” and thinks of her thought process as more of a “tinkering, scientist” approach. She’s always trying to modify how she can become a better person, especially in her craft of free skiing.

That mental framework was on full display again at the 2026 Winter Olympics. After earning two silver medals—bringing her career Olympic total to five—Gu was asked on February 16 whether she viewed her results as “two silvers gained or two golds lost.” She laughed at the question, which has since gone viral.

“I’m the most decorated female freeskier in history, I think that’s an answer in and of itself,” she said confidently. “Winning a medal at the Olympics is a life-changing experience for every athlete. Doing it five times is exponentially harder.”

Addressing the framing of the question directly, she added, “The two medals lost situation, to be quite frank with you, I think is kind of a ridiculous perspective to take. I’m showcasing my best skiing,” before concluding, “I’m doing things that quite literally have never been done before and so I think that is more than good enough, but thank you.”

The internet quickly rallied behind her, applauding her composure and clarity.

And if Gu’s incredible career proves anything, it’s that confidence isn’t accidental—it’s cultivated by your mindset.

The Popular Supplement Doctors Say Isn’t as Harmless as It Sounds

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 11:45am

The supplement industry is booming in the U.S., with nearly ¾ of Americans using some form of these products regularly. But supplements are a buyer-beware product, making it hard to know if it’s actually a good choice for your health to try any particular product.

While supplements technically fall under the jurisdiction of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), they’re not as closely regulated as products like prescription and over-the-counter medications. That means companies can put something on the market without the need for government approval first. Unfortunately, that opens the door to certain supplements making your health worse, not better.

“Since the dietary supplement industry in the United States is largely unregulated, supplements may contain heavy metals, contaminants, or undeclared ingredients that may actually be harmful to human health,” says Dr. Kelly Johnson-Arbor, MD, a toxicologist at MedStar Health. While this is true across all supplement categories, there’s one in particular that doctors are especially wary of.

This supplement category is extremely popular, but comes with serious risks. Because of this, the FDA and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) have taken action against several companies in this category to try to tamp down on their use and ensure consumer safety. But people continue to use them—and doctors are concerned. Here's more about the supplement that doctors want you to steer clear of.

The Supplement To Steer Clear Of, Doctors Say

It’s herbal detoxes. These products use natural herbs with the goal of eliminating “toxins” from the body, boosting digestion and supporting energy levels. They’re often designed for short-term use.

“Unlike vitamins, herbal medicines are not things that the body is used to seeing,” says  Dr. Daniel Chandler, MD, primary care physician at Tufts Medical Center. “Herbal detoxes are potentially a little bit more harmful.”

While herbal detox supplements sound harmless and natural, many of these products use ingredients that aren’t tightly regulated by the FDA, Dr. Johnson-Arbor points out. “Many of the ingredients in herbal supplements have not been extensively tested in humans, and may cause serious health problems, including liver injury that can be fatal,” she says. Dr. Johnson-Arbor notes an example of a 2022 case report of an otherwise healthy woman who was hospitalized for nearly two weeks after using a detox tea.

It’s not just the liver you need to worry about: Dr. Chandler says herbal detoxes can also harm your kidneys

“The bigger concern is that you are potentially putting your health at risk, due to side effects of these herbal medications or due to drug interactions, and there is very little documented benefit,” says Dr. Jamie Alan, Ph.D., an associate professor of pharmacology and toxicology at Michigan State University.

Your Body Has Its Own Detoxification System

The human body has systems in place to support detoxification, including the liver and kidneys. “When you eat something, once it is absorbed, it goes right to the liver through the hepatic portal system,” Dr. Alan explains. “Your liver was designed to remove toxins from things that you have ingested, and the liver rarely needs anything additional to do its job.” The kidneys also remove toxins and waste from your blood, she says.

“In general, the human body can effectively break down and eliminate many toxins on its own,” Dr. Johnson-Arbor says. “Our bodies naturally have multiple enzyme systems and elimination pathways that can adequately detoxify and remove chemicals and toxic byproducts from our tissues and bloodstream. Because of this, most people do not need to use additional detox methods.”

What Doctors Recommend if You Think You Need a Detox

Many people will consider a detox if they’re experiencing symptoms like low energy levels or poor digestion. But doctors say there are plenty of proven lifestyle changes you can make to support your health if you’re feeling off.

“Having a healthy, varied diet is key,” Dr. Chandler says. “That should include vegetables and fruits.” Both have plenty of fiber, which “is a great way to clear your gut,” he adds. Regular exercise and drinking plenty of water can help, too, Dr. Alan stresses.

But if you’ve tried that and still aren’t feeling great, Dr. Johnson-Arbor says it’s important to talk to a healthcare professional about your symptoms. “Instead of representing a need for detox, these unexpected or unwanted signs and symptoms could actually represent a significant health problem, such as diabetes or electrolyte imbalance,” she adds. But the only way to know for sure what’s going on—and to get a solution—is to get checked out.

Raise your hand if you’re a swords-and-sorcery fan. Awesome, you'll love this.

But those with your hands firmly planted by your sides, this is especially for you.

Rotten Tomatoes just published its list of the “25 Most Popular TV Shows Right Now,” and it’s full of binge-worthy gold. From The Night Agentand The Hunting Party, toLove Story and Fallout, there is much to satisfy whatever genre you crave. Perhaps the best place to start? At the top with the year’s breakout adventure series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

A fantasy prequel set 100 years before Game of Thrones, the series from showrunner Ira Parker is the third series created in the world of ice and fire. It follows the triumphs and perils of a towering night, Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey, Bad Sisters), and his young bald-headed squire, Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes), as they trek across Westeros while under Targaryen rule.

But this isn’t your typical GOT dragons-and-decapitations drama. Yes, it can still get brutal and graphic whilst wielding a blade, but it’s also funny, heartwarming, and even playful.

Based on Sir George R.R. Martin’s novellas, Tales of Dunk and Egg, the buddy-knight series is a hit with streamers, critics, and every watercooler in between. It’s sitting at a 93% fresh RT score with critics, complimented by a 76% popcorn score, and keeps growing in popularity. The season one finale aired Sunday, Feb. 22, and season two is in the works.

Rounding out the top five most popular shows to stream right now are 56 Days: Season 1 on Prime Video, How to Get to Heaven From Belfast: Season 1 on Netflix, The Night Agent: Season 3 on Netflix, and The Hunting Party: Season 2 on Peacock, in that order.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: Season 1 is steaming in its entirety on HBO Max.

Matthew Lillard Gets Brutally Honest About Viral Tarantino Criticisms: 'It Felt Like I Had Died'

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 11:30am

Roughly three months after director Quentin Tarantino's blistering comments about his acting abilities, Scream star Matthew Lillard is providing his candid thoughts on the emotional rollercoaster he's experienced in the interim.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lillard's recent comments come after the Pulp Fiction director publicly criticized Lillard, Paul Dano and Owen Wilson during a podcast appearance back in December.

“I’m not saying he’s giving a terrible performance," Tarantino initially said of actor Paul Dano on The Bret Easton Ellis Podcast. "I’m saying he’s giving a non-entity [performance]. I don’t care for him. I don’t care for Owen Wilson, I don’t care for Matthew Lillard.”

In the immediate weeks that followed, multiple celebrities within the film industry came to the three actors' defense, complimenting the trio for their on-screen performances and stating how much they enjoyed their work.

Speaking with People magazine, Lillard said of the surprisingly heartfelt response from fans and collaborators, “It felt like I had died and was in heaven watching everyone send out their RIP tweets. I mean, it was really being a part of your own wake, sort of sitting there living through all the nice things people say after you die.

“Everyone, from the people at the mall this weekend with my kids to George Clooney and James Gunn and Mike Flanagan, I mean, people have sort of been really generous with telling me how much they loved me and liked my work,” the 56-year-old actor continued.

As Lillard saw it, Tarantino's criticism of his work hit especially hard because the actor has nothing but respect for the director, plainly saying that he would "love" to be in one of Tarantino's movies.

“I think he’s a lovely filmmaker, and to just sort of get punched in the mouth just was kind of a bummer," the actor explained.

Dairy Queen’s Mint Crunchin’ Cookie Dip Gets ‘Delicious’ New Twists

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 11:26am

It's the season of Dairy Queen's Mint Oreo Blizzard, and this year, fans are getting so many more ways to enjoy the rich and creamy treat.

New this year is the Mint Crunchin’ Cookie Dipped Cone, which was inspired by the fan-favorite Blizzard flavor and the brand's viral DQ Crunchin’ Cookie Dipped Cone. The minty treat is made using creamy DQ vanilla soft serve, a refreshing green mint-flavored cone coating, and choco cookie crumbles for some "extra crunch."

When it debuted earlier this week, fans may have been under the impression that they were limited to only enjoying the new Mint Crunchin' Cookie topping as a cone dip, but surprise! DQ is now sharing two more ways to enjoy its soon-to-be-iconic new treat.

Dairy Queen customers who prefer to dig into their ice cream with a spoon or straw can actually still enjoy the new Mint Crunchin' Cookie flavor without settling for a messy cone covered in the dip. Sharing what it calls two menu "hacks," Dairy Queen revealed the new item can actually be ordered as a "delicious" ice cream-based parfait, as an extra-indulgent addition to its famous Blizzard treat, or on the side to dip or drizzle on whatever you wish.

Dairy Queen Debuts Limited-Time Mint Crunchin’ Blizzard and Parfait Flavor

DQ customers looking to enjoy the flavors of the Mint Crunchin' Cookie Dipped Cone without the cone can order it separately as a sidecar to dip your own Oreos or spoonfuls of DQ soft serve in or drizzle over your go-to Blizzard flavor.

It can also be ordered as a layered parfait, which Dairy Queen calls its Mint Crunchin’ Cookie Parfait. This treat features layers of DQ soft serve, Mint Crunchin’ Cookie Cone Dip and Oreo pieces, according to an official description shared with Parade on Tuesday.

And last, but certainly not least, the fast-food chain also unveiled its new Mint Crunchin’ Cookie Blizzard Treat, which combines the Mint Crunchin’ Cookie cone coating and Oreo cookie pieces, then blends it all up with DQ’s world-famous soft serve for "Blizzard Treat perfection." This version doubles down on the cookie pieces when compared to the original Mint Oreo Blizzard, kind of like Wendy's did when it released the Thin Mint Frosty Fusion following the wild success of its Thin Mint Frosty last year, surely satisfying fans who can't get enough of that mint-cookie-crunch.

Dairy Queen's Mint Cookie menu is available now, but only for a limited time. Technically, its Mint Oreo Blizzard treat is launching as the March Flavor of the Month (fans are just getting it early), so we expect the new parfait or Mint Crunchin' Cookie Blizzard to be available for about the same amount of time (prices may vary).

That said, DQ is giving fans a whole lot more to look forward to come spring, including a new milkshake flavor inspired by its partnership with Savannah Bananas, which should make waving goodbye to the minty, chocolatey faves a little easier.

'Heated Rivalry' Book, 'Unrivaled' Gets Delayed

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 11:22am

Sorry, Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander fans. You have to wait a little longer for the third book in the Game Changer series focusing on their story.

Unrivaled Will Be Released June 1, 2027 View this post on Instagram

Author Rachel Reid posted a video for her fans on Instagram on February 24. She thanked fans for the last few months. "It's also been very, very busy and overwhelming," she said. "My life has gotten very different in the last couple months and although it's all good it's also taken away my ability to have like quality time to write. And there's nothing more important to me than Unrivaled being the best book it can possibly be."

Reid, 46, said her Parkinson's symptoms have gotten worse, which makes her writing process slower. "For all of these reasons, I've just decided to move the publication date for Unrivaled to June 1, 2027," she said. "I hope that's not too long a wait for everyone. I just needed a few more months for writing." The author was diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson's in 2023.

Pre-orders will continue to be honored. Reid said the book is going well and teased there will be more announcements later this week.

Jenna Bush Hager of the Today show previously asked Reid if the new release will be the last book in the series. "I don't want to say the last," she answered. "I thought The Long Game was the last book, so you never know." She aims to write each book as if it will be the last, so fans can anticipate a conclusion to the story.

Heated Rivalry, starring Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie is returning for a second season after the first one covered the first book and summarized Game Changer. It's unclear if the season will cover the second book entirely. Jacob Tierney said the season will have six episodes like the first. Season 2 is expected to air in spring 2027.

4 Chinese Zodiac Signs Destined for Success

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 11:19am

When it comes to rising to the top of their professional game, earning accolades, or hitting ambitious goals, some people seem to innately attract blessings, fortune, abundance, and seem to have been born during an auspicious time. If you happened to have been born during certain Chinese zodiac years, this could very well apply to you, because, as it turns out, there are certain Chinese zodiac signs who are fated to win at life.

“There are definitely some Chinese zodiac signs that people often associate with ‘natural success,’” says Janine Lowe, a Chinese astrology expert and author of Feng Shui Your Way to Abundance. “They tend to have that built-in drive, confidence, or lucky momentum. Timing plays a huge part, your luck cycles matter, your BaZi [Chinese astrology] chart gives the full story, and of course, what you choose to do with your energy makes all the difference.”

That said, there are four Chinese zodiac signs that are most often seen as primed for making their mark and attracting success. Read on to discover more.

But First, How to Find Your Chinese Zodiac Sign

The Chinese New Year follows a lunisolar calendar, so if you were born in January or February, you’ll need to check the exact date of the Lunar New Year to pinpoint your Chinese zodiac sign. (For example, babies who were born in January 2026 are Snakes as opposed to Horses, because the Lunar New Year didn't begin until February 17.) That said, you can check CafeAstrology, Travel China Guide, and China Highlights for tables that will help you find your Chinese zodiac sign by birth year.

The 4 Chinese Zodiac Signs Who Are Fated for Success

Read on for an expert look at the Chinese zodiac signs destined for success.

Dragon (Recent birth years: 2024, 2012, 2000, 1988, 1976, 1964, 1952)

People born during the Year of the Dragon were “born to rise,” says Lowe. “[They have] big vision, strong confidence, and natural leadership,” she explains.

Donna Stellhorn, astrologer, feng shui expert, and author of Chinese Astrology: Life, Love, and Luck in Twelve Animal Signs, expands on that idea, adding that Dragons “are able to see possibilities that never occur to others.” She encourages them to “put together the right team [to be] unstoppable.”

Ultimately, Dragons aren’t interested in simply securing comfort in life, notes Lowe. “They want achievement, impact, and legacy,” she shares.

People born under this Chinese zodiac sign are also incredibly magnetic. “Dragons are often noticed wherever they go, without even trying,” she explains. “They’re here to stand out and succeed.”

Rat (Recent birth years: 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020)

You don’t have to be brash, bold, outrageous, or even outgoing to claim the spotlight or rise to the top. And it’s also sometimes better to take your time and work slowly and steadily toward making your mark. This is the MO of the Rat, explains Lowe. People born under this sign are clever, strategic, and naturally skilled at building wealth over time, she notes.

“They tend to be quick thinkers and excellent planners, often knowing exactly how to turn small opportunities into something much bigger,” she explains. “Their success is not always loud or obvious, but it is consistent, intelligent, and long-lasting. Quiet success is still success, and Rats are brilliant at that.”

COSMIC INSIGHT: Mercury Retrograde in Pisces Reopens Old Chapters—Here’s What It Brings Up for Your Sign

Ox (Recent birth years: 2021, 2009, 1997, 1985, 1973, 1961, 1949)

Whether you were born with a specific passion you’ve held strong to over the course of your lifetime or you’re prone to putting your nose to the grindstone to achieve anything you set your mind to, consistency is key to making most dreams a reality. And that’s the lesson to learn from the Ox, says Lowe.

People born under this Chinese zodiac sign have an enviable work ethic and leverage their grounded nature to achieve their aspirations.

“The Ox is the definition of steady success,” says Lowe. “They may not chase attention, but they build results through consistency, loyalty, and hard work. Ox people often become successful because they do not quit, and they are always willing to play the long game.”

Tiger (Recent birth years: 2022, 2010, 1998, 1986, 1974, 1962, 1950)

If you were born during the Year of the Tiger, you’re one of the Chinese zodiac signs destined for success, because you’re “bold, brave, and naturally competitive,” explains Lowe.

This stems from a craving for freedom and the ability to do whatever you want, whenever you want, both powerful motivating factors, explains Stellhorn. “Achieving success means that you become the master of your time,” she notes. “This is why you are so focused on achievement.”

As a natural-born go-getter, you can’t help but take the reins on lofty projects and sign up for opportunities that might be too daunting for other, less ambitious types.

“[Tigers] are often drawn to leadership, entrepreneurship, and taking risks that other people will not take,” says Lowe.

Nonetheless, it’s crucial that Tigers trust themselves and do their best to manage impatience, points out Lowe. And if they swing that, “they can rise very fast.”

Jennifer Garner Shares Honest Truth About Co-Parenting with Ben Affleck

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 11:07am

Jennifer Garner andBen Affleck are trying to co-parent in the best way possible for their children. The13 Going on 30actor revealed there are some needed adjustments and "a bit of a loss" when trying to make things work.

There's no denying that Garner and Affleck were one of the "it" couples of the early 2000s before they announced their divorce in 2015. The two share three children, Fin, Violet, and Samuel, who are now 17, 20, and 13 years old.

Garner spoke about the dynamics of co-parenting with her ex on Bustle’s One NightstandYouTube series. She discussed how she tackles raising her children with a conscientious upbringing, and admits she has to take on two parental roles.

"I think that I do a bit of both. And I think my kids’ dad does too. Especially when your kids grow up in two separate households, I become mom and dad, and he becomes dad and mom," said Garner.

"You kind of can’t help it, right? Because you don’t have the benefit of both sides of the yin and yang being in the same house," she added.

The Elektra actor goes on to say that there is a "little bit of a loss in that," but does admit that there are aspects to be gained from the experience as well. She also realized it's a learning experience and to "let go and not focus so much on bringing up."

Garner and Affleck have often been photographed spending time together with their children as a family since their divorce. During their marriage, Garner often praised Affleck for helping her in her life and being an "incredibly loving and generous man." Affleck was also quoted as saying that all marriages take work and that his then-wife was "more perfect than I am."

In 2019, Garner got candid on co-parenting with Affleck, saying they have to "adapt," having gotten used to it in the spotlight of Hollywood. Speaking with Marie Claire UK in a rare statement about the divorce, she admitted to not being able to handle "what was out there."

"The fact of it is what was hard. The actual breaking up of a family is what was hard. Losing a true partnership and friendship is what was hard," she said.

Garner has been in a relationship with businessman and attorney John C. Miller since 2022, with Affleck having married Jennifer Lopez that same year and finalized their divorce in 2025.

John Mellencamp Makes Bold Statement About His Sole Grammy Win

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 11:02am

John Mellencamphas accomplished a lot in his career. He’s gone to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, had a No. 1 album with 1982’s American Fool, sold millions of records, traveled around the world, and even won a Grammy award…

…not like that last one means anything to him. When recently appearing on Bill Maher’s Club Randompodcast, Mellencamp, 74, shrugged off the Grammys and the whole notion of award shows.

“I have never been to the Grammys in my life,” said Mellencamp, per Ultimate Classic Rock. John won the Best Male Rock Vocal Performance award in 1983 for “Hurts So Good,” and has since been nominated more than a dozen times.

When Maher, 70, brought up how he skipped out on this year’s Golden Globes, Mellencamp said, “Do you know what a Golden Globe is or a Grammy? It’s f—king nothing. It means nothing. It means less than nothing.”

However, Mellencamp did admit his appreciation for the Grammy Museum, which has locations in Los Angeles, Nashville, and Cleveland, Mississippi.

John Mellencamp’s Grammy Nominations

Mellencamp’s Other Bold Statement

Why This 'Star Trek' Star Thought His Iconic Role Was the ‘Worst Part’

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 11:00am

Star Trek: Voyager star Robert Picardo wasn't overly impressed with his beloved character, The Doctor.

During a panel in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Star Trek: Voyager at the 2015 Space City Comic Con, Picardo said he originally viewed The Doctor, the ship's Emergency Medical Hologram (EMH), as boring.

"When I was cast in the show, I called everybody I know and said, 'I got a good job. It's a Star Trek series. It'll run seven years. It'll put my children through college. But I have to tell you, I have the worst part on the show. Here's how it's described. Colorless, humorless, a computer program of a doctor.' Does that sound like a lot of laughs to you? It sounded awful," said Picardo on the panel.

Picardo then said he realized he struck Star Trek gold while shooting the first episode of Voyager, which premiered in 1995. He said he "got a laugh" when he said "medical tricorder" in an annoyed tone.

"Then I just realized that all I had to do was sound pissy. Because the idea that a computer program had a bad attitude was a funny idea. It dawned on me that I had lucked into something," said Picardo.

Picardo made similar comments during a January 2026 interview with Parade. He said he wasn't all that familiar with the Star Trek franchise before he was cast as The Doctor, meaning he was unaware of how much fans adore "outsider" characters, like half-Vulcan Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) from Star Trek: The Original Series and android Data (Brent Spiner) from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

"I guess I didn't understand that the outsider character that I had been gifted, I thought I had had a really dull part, where the character would never express himself. I didn't know enough about Star Trek to know that I had gotten the plum role," said the actor in his interview with Parade.

Picardo appeared as The Doctor in Voyager throughout the show's seven-season run. He reprised the role for Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, which premiered in January 2026.

"If you want to read it," she said addressing the audience, while warning, "I'm so sorry if it's really tragic to you, but it's kind of a tragic story about my life."

"It's true and it's what happened," she added.

The Married...with Children alum was diagnosed with the disease in 2021 while working on the hit Netflix series Dead to Me. Since wrapping the show in 2022, Applegate has largely stepped away from acting, and now hosts the MeSsy podcast with Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who also has MS.

Jackson White Opens Up About Filming ‘Gaslighty’ Scenes With His Mom Katey Sagal (Exclusive)

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 10:50am

Working alongside a seasoned actor can be intimidating. Working opposite your own mother in emotionally manipulative scenes is something else entirely.

When Parade interviewed Jackson White at the Savannah College of Art and Design’s TV Festival in Atlanta, he opened up about what it was really like sharing the screen with his real-life mom, Katey Sagal, in the hit Hulu series Tell Me Lies.

🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬

Katey Sagal is best known for her decades-spanning television career, with standout roles that have made her a household name. She rose to fame as Peg Bundy on Married... with Children and later earned critical acclaim, and a Golden Globe, for her performance as Gemma Teller Morrow on Sons of Anarchy. She is also widely recognized for voicing Leela on Futurama. Beyond those iconic roles, Sagal has appeared in numerous other projects, including Shameless and Pitch Perfect 2, further cementing her versatility across comedy, drama, and film.

And the 29-year-old admitted that, given the relationship between his character and hers on the hit Hulu series, made working with her surprisingly difficult.

"It was great. It was beautiful. She’s amazing," he first says. "It’s such a well-written, ambiguously manipulative, you can’t quite pinpoint what’s wrong with her type of character. That was her character. It was written so well."

The complexities lie with the sordid dynamic between Stephen and Nora, considering their real-life closeness. "I went in there and had to have these really gaslighty, confusing scenes with my real mother. I’d stare at her and look at her. It was trippy. It was very hard. But at the end, we were super excited about it."

White reveals that the two didn't even need to do a lot of in-depth work, given her extensive experience in the business. "We ran it a ton, and she just knew what to do. She was all baked in already. We just ran it a bunch, and it was great. She was great."

Rather than overanalyzing the scenes, the two relied on instinct and repetition. According to White, his mother came to set fully prepared, deeply understanding the nuances of her character. That level of confidence allowed him to simply respond in the moment.

For White, acting opposite his mom may have been difficult at times, but it was also a rare opportunity to collaborate with someone he deeply admires, both as a performer and as a parent.

‘Scream’ Queen Neve Campbell, 52, Is Getting More Stunning With Age 30 Years After the First Film

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 10:46am

Neve Campbell skyrocketed to superstardom thanks to 1996's beloved horror flick Scream, and solidified her stardom with the subsequent sequels. But in 2026, the brunette beauty is looking better than ever.

Neve Campbell was already a familiar face in the '90s thanks to her role on the popular FOX series Party of Five. However, it was her role in the 1996 slasher film Scream that put her on the map. Directed by Wes Craven and co-starring Rose McGowan, Matthew LillardDavid Arquette, and Courteney Cox, the film's terrifying moments and wisecracking humor went down in film history, and Campbell's role as protagonist, Sidney Prescott, made her one of entertainment's most coveted leading ladies. Campbell reprised her role in a flurry of sequels over the years.

These days, Campbell is more stunning than ever. The beauty hit The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week in a deep blue velvet suit and a maroon blouse, and looked like she had barely aged a day since she first took on the role of Sidney three decades ago.

Reprising Her Infamous Role

During an appearance on CBS Mornings, Campbell reflected on reprising her role as Sidney Prescott in the upcoming film, Scream 7.

"I love Sidney. I love getting back into the character. And to be able to play a character over a span of 30 years, to see a character grow and live with them in that way, it's a great opportunity," said Campbell.

What Happens in Scream 7 ?

When Scream 7 hits theaters on February 27, the plotline will take a unique turn as it follows Sidney and her daughter, Tatum, played by Isabel May. Seeing as most of Sidney's loved ones have been terrorized over the years, becoming a mother is probably a terrifying pursuit!

"When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter becomes the next target," an official synopsis reads. "Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all."

1938 Book Voted ‘Best Novel of the Century’ is Now Free on Amazon

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 10:43am

One of the most enduring novels of the 20th century just became even more accessible.

Rebecca, Daphne du Maurier's haunting 1938 gothic classic, is currently free to read on Amazon for Kindle Unlimited subscribers, giving a new wave of readers the chance to discover or revisit the story that has captivated audiences for generations.

The 1938 National Book Award-winner and Anthony Award-winner for Best Novel of the Century, Rebecca remains one of literature's most atmospheric and psychologically gripping works.

The novel follows a young, unnamed narrator who impulsively marries the wealthy widower Maxim de Winter and moves to his grand estate, Manderley. But once inside its sprawling halls, she quickly realizes she is living in the shadow of Maxim's late first wife, the glamorous and enigmatic Rebecca. Though Rebecca is dead before the story even begins, her presence lingers everywhere: in the house, in the staff, and in Maxim himself.

As secrets begin to unravel, du Maurier slowly transforms what first feels like a romantic fairy tale into a tense psychological mystery. Themes of jealousy, identity, class and obsession pulse beneath the novel's famously eerie prose. Its unforgettable opening line, “Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again,”remains one of the most iconic first sentences in literary history.

The book's impact only grew when Alfred Hitchcock adapted Rebecca into a film in 1940. Starring Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine, the movie won the Academy Award for Best Picture and cemented the story's place in cinematic history. Hitchcock's moody, suspense-filled interpretation introduced the tale to an even wider audience and helped define the gothic thriller genre on screen.

More recently, Rebecca has experienced something of a cultural revival. Taylor Swift referenced the novel in a recent interview, sparking renewed interest among younger readers who may be discovering du Maurier's work for the first time. The book's themes of memory, insecurity and living in someone else’s shadow continue to resonate nearly 90 years after its publication.

Now, with the novel available to read for free on Amazon's Kindle Unlimited, there's never been a better time to step inside Manderley's gates.

Just be warned: once you enter, it's hard to leave.

Jack Hughes Responds to Backlash Over Men's Hockey Team Accepting Donald Trump's White House Invite

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 10:31am

Team USA hockey star Jack Hughes responded to the backlash over the men's team accepting President Donald Trump's White House invitation after winning gold, when the women's team declined the offer.

On Feb. 22, Hughes, 24, scored the winning goal to defeat Canada in overtime and secure the first gold medal for the men's hockey team since the 1980 "Miracle on Ice" win. The women's hockey team also secured gold on Feb. 19.

On Monday, Feb. 23, Hughes spoke with the Daily Mail about Trump inviting the men's team to the White House. "Yeah, we're excited," he said. "Everything is so political. We're athletes."

Hughes continued, "We're so proud to represent the U.S., and when you get the chance to go to White House and meet the President, we're proud to be Americans, and that's so patriotic.  No matter what your views are, we're super excited to go to the White House tomorrow and be a part of that."

Following the Team USA Men's Hockey win, Trump personally invited them to tour the White House and attend the State of the Union address on Tuesday, Feb. 24. In a video of the call, made through FBI Director Kash Patel's phone, the POTUS, 79, said, “We’ll do the White House the next day. We’ll just have some fun. We have medals for you guys."

Trump added, "I must tell you, we’re going to have to bring the women’s team, you do know that," joking that he would “probably be impeached” if he didn’t invite them.

— Harrison Krank (@HarrisonKrank) February 23, 2026

After the video circulated on social media, Hughes and other players faced criticism for not only accepting Trump's White House invite but for laughing at Trump's joke about the women's team.

"People are so negative about things," Hughes told the Daily Mail. "I think everyone in that locker room knows how much we support them, how proud we are of them and we know the same way we feel about them, they feel about us."

The women's hockey team declined Trump's offer to attend the State of the Union address on Feb. 24, NBC reported.

"We are sincerely grateful for the invitation extended to our gold medal–winning U.S. Women’s Hockey Team and deeply appreciate the recognition of their extraordinary achievement," a spokesperson said in the statement. "Due to the timing and previously scheduled academic and professional commitments following the Games, the athletes are unable to participate."

The message added, "They were honored to be included and are grateful for the acknowledgment."

Why This Puzzle Works

According to AmberWillo founder Ty Letang, the puzzle is meant to mimic how our brains behave under pressure.

“Right before we unmute on a call, our brain can fixate on fears. This puzzle nudges you to do the opposite, training your attention to find focus under light pressure," says Letang.

He also recommends a simple “4-4-8 breath” technique to steady your nerves: inhale for four counts, hold for four, then exhale for eight. Two cycles can help calm adrenaline and sharpen attention.
