The Pitt star Noah Wyle is looking back on a great loss to the Hollywood community after the unexpected death of Robert Carradine this week.

The ER alum shared a photo of the two posing together on the picket line during the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. They each wore strike-related t-shirts, and Carradine had both a matching button and sticker while he carried a sign on a post.

"Robert Carradine- a beautiful man and a true artist," Wyle wrote alongside the photo. "Gonna miss him a lot. 'Good night sweet prince and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest,'" he concluded, sharing a quote from Hamlet.

Carradine's daughter Ever reacted to the touching message, commenting, "He absolutely adored you, Noah ❤️."

The beloved Disney alum, who played Hilary Duff's dad on the hit early aughts series Lizzie McGuire, took his own life, with his family announcing his death at the age of 71 on Monday, Feb. 23.

“It is with profound sadness that we must share that our beloved father, grandfather, uncle, and brother Robert Carradine has passed away," they said in a statement. "In a world that can feel so dark, Bobby was always a beacon on light to everyone around him. We are bereft at the loss of this beautiful soul and want to acknowledge Bobby’s valiant struggle against his nearly two-decade battle with Bipolar Disorder."

The family hopes that Carradine's struggle with the psychiatric disorder can "shine a light and encourage addressing the stigma that attaches to mental illness.”

His final project before his untimely death was meant to be a film called The Driver, where he was cast as a mob boss before disappearing ahead of the scheduled table read. Director Connie Lamothe told TMZ that he went "radio silent" back in January. As another cast member was aware of his mental health history, they "decided to give him some space…and hoped he would return.”

Unfortunately, that never happened. Lamothe remembers him as a “delightful” and “cheerful” addition to the project.

Jamie Lee Curtis has also paid tribute to the man she calls her "first love," having shared an under-the-radar relationship with him back in the '70s.

Carradine is survived by his three kids, Ever, Ian, and Marcia, and his grandchildren.

A longtime actress, comedian and singer is now keeping "busy" with what she's calling her "dream role."

Busy Philipps, 46, has joined the upcoming CBS drama Cupertino in a series regular role, Variety reports.

The reported logline states that the show is “a David vs. Goliath legal drama set in the heart of Silicon Valley that follows a lawyer (Mike Colter) who is being cheated out of his stock-options by his former employer, a tech start-up. Refusing to back down, he joins forces with another recently fired attorney (Rachel Keller) to represent those taken advantage of by the tech elite, and help them fight back in a high-stakes battle against the Goliaths controlling Silicon Valley.”

"i need you to know this is actually my dream role and my dream job and i couldn’t have predicted it but here we are and the fact that i get to get to be reunited with @reneeelisegoldsberry and work with the Kings(whose writing i think is some of the best on television) is an actual dream come true," Philipps wrote in the caption of her Instagram postTuesday, Feb. 24 to highlight her new gig.

She continued, "The last two weeks of my life have been a real mixed bag in ways i can not properly articulate right now but definitely will in my second book and i am very VERY VERY grateful for the joy and also this job🩷."

Philipps will star as Natalia, who is described as “the beautiful and delightfully blunt first wife of an AI Billionaire, who divorced her when she turned forty. Now Natalia wants revenge and agrees to finance Michael and Olivia’s start-up law firm in order to go after his and other AI businesses," per Variety.

Earlier this month, Philipps shared an emotional tribute shortly after her Dawson's Creek co-star James Van Der Beek's death was announced, writing in part via Instagram that her heart is deeply hurting for all of us today…every person who knew James and loved him, anyone who loved his work or had the pleasure of meeting him..."

Find theme words to fill the board.

• Theme words stay highlighted in blue when found.
• Drag or tap letters to create words. If tapping, double-tap the last letter to submit.
• Theme words fill the board entirely. No theme words overlap.

Find the “spangram.”

• The spangram describes the puzzle's theme and touches two opposite sides of the board. It may be two words.
• The spangram highlights in yellow when found.
• An example spangram with corresponding theme words: PEAR, FRUIT, BANANA, APPLE, etc.

Need a hint?

• Find non-theme words to get hints.
• For every three non-theme words you find, you earn a hint.

Finishing the look, she went for sleek black pointed kitten heels, paired with a structured handbag that gave off a girl boss vibe.

What comes to mind when you think of the word “couture”? The iconic clothing brand recently launched a limited-edition partnership with Harlem’s Fashion Row, an agency that provides designers of color with the resources they need to bring their visions to life.

The breathtaking 20-piece capsule collection showcases the work of Daveed Baptiste, Igdaliah Pickering, Jimmy Latouche, Nicole Benefield and Waina Chancy. Each designer created four pieces exclusively for Gap, using denim as the medium through which to tell their stories. For Daveed Baptiste, that means weaving his Haitian-American heritage (literally) into his collection, which includes eye-catching baggy jeans with wavvy embroidery to match the rhythm of the waves and a gasp-inducing bomber jacket with hundreds of embroidered stitches that mimic the way light refracts on the water.

While the collection itself is aptly timed to honor Black History Month, it’s also impossible to miss the broader context of Black Americans’ connection to denim, a fabric made of cotton and dyed with indigo. The British-American comedian and host of Last Week Tonight with John Oliverappeared as a guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday night, where he talked about why he loves Mountbatten-Windsor's viral arrest photo so much.

The former Duke of York was arrested at King Charles III's Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, England, on Thursday morning, the day of his 66th birthday, under suspicion of misconduct while serving in public office related to his ties with Jeffrey Epstein.

11 hours later, Mountbatten-Windsor was released from the Aylsham Police Station in Norfolk, and a photo of the former Prince sitting in the backseat of a car was taken, which went viral on the Internet.

Oliver, who is a huge critic of The Royal Family, stated on Late Night that he was "so glad [the arrest] happened," while Meyers proceeded to take out the viral photo of the former Prince looking shocked in the car.

"I think it might be one of the best photos ever taken," exclaimed Oliver, who also spoke about the photo on Sunday's episode of his talk show. "You know, towards the end of the year, they do kind of a photo of the year. And it's often like a frog leaping off a lily pad, or you know, an eagle in flight with something in its mouth. Sure. Is it gonna be better than that?"

Oliver continued, "I would say credit to Range Rover as a car. They're doing something with their windshield. That means somehow, you can get kind of get cameras to shoot the Windsor Family at their worst moments so beautifully. That thousand-yard stare with Dr. Evil hands. There's nothing I don't love about it."

Meyers then compared the photo to "a vampire going back into the coffin," then recreating the photo himself, which caused Oliver and the audience to laugh.

"What's been so confounding about the Epstein Files is seeing people who feel they're untouchable, not being touched," Oliver concluded. I think seeing someone like that, in that position, is why I love that image so much. I think it's high art."

Late Night with Seth Meyers airs live on NBC every weekday at 12:35 am ET, then is released on Peacock the next day. Meanwhile, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver can be streamed on HBO Max and Hulu.

Netflix’s 2017 series Mindhunter has been recognized as the best crime-mystery TV show of all time. The series, created by David Fincher and based on real FBI criminal profiling, continues to captivate audiences years after its final season aired.

Mindhunter follows FBI agents Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) as they establish the Behavioral Science Unit in the late 1970s. With academic psychologist Wendy Carr (Anna Torv) supporting their work, the agents interview imprisoned serial killers to understand their behavior. 

Unlike traditional crime shows, Mindhunter focuses on understanding the minds of killers, making it one of the most chilling and intelligent crime dramas ever produced, according to Collider.

From its debut on Oct. 13, 2017, Mindhunter drew critical acclaim for its meticulous storytelling and period authenticity. Season 1 received a 96% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a Metacritic score of 79, earning it spots on numerous best-of lists for 2017. 

Critics praised the series for its “slow-burn” approach, focusing on psychology rather than fast-paced action.

Cameron Britton’s performance as real-life serial killer Edmund Kemper was particularly standout, earning him a Primetime Emmy nomination. Jonathan Groff also won a Satellite Award for his role as Holden Ford.

Even six years after the series ended in 2019, Mindhunter fans are holding out hope for new content. In a 2025 interview with CBR, Holt McCallany shared that David Fincher has discussed a potential return in the form of three two-hour movies for Netflix. McCallany said:

"David has to be happy with scripts. It's a big question mark, but there is a chance. The sun, the moon, and the stars would all have to align."

Despite the uncertainty, this news has reignited excitement among fans who still consider Mindhunter a masterpiece of crime storytelling.Although it ended, Mindhunter remains a reference point for crime TV shows and has helped solidify Netflix as a hub for high-quality original content. Fans are reminded why the series earned its top spot: its compelling storytelling, gripping performances and a commitment to exploring the darkest corners of the human mind.

Willie Nelson’s Version of the Song Went No. 1

The tune, written by Fred Rose, has been rendered by many stars throughout the years, ranging from Elvis Presley to Roy Acuff. The song was first recorded by Elton Britt in 1947, but it was Willie Nelson’s 1975 version, which struck a chord with people everywhere, giving him his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. 

Nelson’s version, which appears on his concept album, Red Headed Stranger, also made Rolling Stone’s ranked lists for 100 Greatest Country Songs of All Time and 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, landing at No. 48 and No. 302, respectively. The song also earned Nelson a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Performance at the 18th annual Grammy Awards. 

Ella Langley Shared Her Cover on Instagram

Giving the country classic a female spin, Langley casually channeled the lyrics of the tune on her acoustic guitar, as seen in a social media post, uploaded to Instagram on Sunday, Feb. 22. The post also includes a series of photos and videos showcasing recent memories the star has made. (For reference, her take on Nelson’s hit appears in the third-to-last slide).

“In the twilight glow I see / Blue eyes crying in the rain / When we kissed goodbye and parted / I knew we'd never meet again,” Langley can be heard singing the poetic first verse, while dressed in a white sweater and wearing large hoop earrings. Langley didn’t show a full version of the beloved song, and she has yet to share a professional studio recording of it.

Though it’s unlikely she will include a rendition of “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain” on her next album, fans can expect more music from Langley very soon, as she is set to release her new album, Dandelion, on April 10.

More than four decades after it first blasted through speakers, “I Love Rock ’N Roll” is still rocking harder than ever.

Joan Jett & the Blackhearts’ 1982 smash has been ranked the "Best Rock Song of All Time" by Entertainment Weekly, a fitting honor for a track that has never truly left the cultural conversation.

Originally written and recorded in 1975 by British band The Arrows, the song took on an entirely new life when Joan Jett reimagined it. After the breakup of her pioneering all-female rock band the Runaways, Jett faced an uphill battle. She recorded a solo album with her backing band, the Blackhearts only to be rejected by 23 record labels. Undeterred, she and longtime collaborator and producer Kenny Laguna released the music independently on Blackheart Records.

That gamble paid off in a major way.

The Arrows officially disbanded in 1977, leaving an opening for Jett to make the song her own. Released in late 1981, Jett's version of "I Love Rock 'N Roll" soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1982, where it remained for seven consecutive weeks. It became the defining song of her career and one of the most instantly recognizable rock anthems ever recorded.

Though it may technically be a cover, Jett and the Blackhearts made the song feel original. With her jet-black hair, leather-clad presence and unmistakable rasp, Jett didn't just sing about loving rock, she embodied it.

"I think people have to understand that rock & roll is not just rock & roll,” Jett told RollingStone. "It's more than that. It can be a message sender. It is something that is powerful and strong. And it is something that can be used to fight, people have injustices, and you can declare them and fight for it."

Beyond its in-your-face message, the track's production helped cement its staying power. Kenny Laguna crafted a stripped-down but powerful arrangement built on crisp, stomping handclaps and gritty guitar chords. The call-and-response energy gives the track a chant-like immediacy, while Jett's husky, commanding vocals cut through with pure confidence.

Over the years, “I Love Rock ’N Roll” has remained a fixture in pop culture, appearing in films, commercials, sporting events and karaoke nights everywhere. Its rebellious simplicity continues to resonate across generations.

It may have started as a cover, but in the hands of Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, "I Love Rock 'N Roll" became something bigger: a battle cry, a breakthrough and now, officially, the best rock song of all time.
