Keiko is a woman out of time, and her reunion with son Hiroshi (Takehiro Hira) and grandchildren Cate (Anna Sawai) and Kentaro (Ren Watabe) is less of a warm hug and more of a tectonic shift. This season isn't just about avoiding a "Titan event"; it’s about the emotional earthquakes that happen inside a family. 

As the Randa siblings, Cate and Kentaro, navigate the shady alliances between Monarch and the cold-blooded Apex Cybernetics, the show asks a heavy question: Can you ever truly outrun the footprints of your ancestors? Cate is still carrying emotional scars from past revelations, and her journey becomes less about survival and more about identity. The monsters may be enormous, but the show understands that fear often begins in smaller places: family secrets, broken trust, and unfinished conversations.

Season 2 of Monarch: Legacy of Monstersleans heavily into dual timelines again, weaving together past and present like two tectonic plates slowly grinding toward collision. The flashback sequences dive deeper into Monarch's origins and showcase how curiosity slowly transformed into control. The transitions are smoother this time around.

The return to Skull Island adds a mythic quality to the series. The island feels more than just a backdrop; it feels alive, like a forgotten shrine where nature recalls what humans attempt to hide. At the same time, a mysterious village and the rise of a new sea-born Titan create a haunting sense of inevitability. This creature is not just another monster of the week; it symbolizes nature restoring a balance that humanity never grasped. Yet for all its expanding mythology and spectacle, the series never loses sight of the people caught beneath it.

Human Stories Drive the Chaos: Performances, Family Drama, and Emotional Impact

However, the strongest aspect of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 is how it treats its human characters. In most giant monster movies, the people are secondary characters, but here, they are much more than that. The series brilliantly explores human nature and how they fight their own demons while trying to save the world. Anna Sawai continues to be the soul of the show as Cate.

Her journey through PTSD is not a subplot anymore, it is the lens through which we see this unique world. Every time she looks at a Titan, it feels like she is not seeing a monster, she’s reliving the day that ruined everything for her. On the other hand, the idea to have Kurt Russell and his son, Wyatt, play the same character at different ages works perfectly and is really fun to watch.

Visually, the series continues to soar. The scale never feels compromised despite being on television rather than in a blockbuster cinema. Dense jungles and glowing underwater shadows give the season a dreamlike quality. The monsters are gigantic, but the framing often makes humans feel even smaller, indicating that humanity is only a temporary guest on this planet. However, what truly makes Season 2 worth watching is its thematic ambition. It’s not just about adventure; it’s about how families pass down pain and secrets over many years. It shows that to move forward, people must face the truth about their past. In this story, the monsters represent these old problems that keep coming back until they are finally dealt with.

But is the show perfect? Not quite. Sometimes the family drama feels a bit like a soap opera happening during a natural calamity, and certain new characters take a while to find their footing. But even these small stumbles feel organic to a show that is trying to do so much.

By the end of the show, you see why this story matters for all the other monster movies. It doesn't try to have more fights than the big films. Instead, it explains the reasons behind all the mess and chaos. It’s a smart sci-fi story that makes you think but still keeps things exciting. This is exactly why Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 is worth a watch.

If there's one thing Season 2, Episode 8 of The Pitt proved, it's that your alcohol can—and will—betray you.

As the student doctors rattled off the signs and symptoms they needed to look for—pustules in the mucous membranes and a positive Nikolsky sign (when gentle pressure causes the skin to slough off and leaves behind what looks like an open blister)—to confirm or cross off the differential diagnosis, Joy quickly ruled it out, diagnosing him with phytophotodermatitis, or a margarita burn.

How Do You Get a Margarita Burn?

Before his symptoms began, the patient “was making three gallons of margaritas for a party, squeezing fresh limes out in the sun.”

As Javadi explained, the combination of lime juice and sunlight can cause a “horrible rash.”

According to the Cleveland Clinic, phytophotodermatitis actually is a form of "extreme" sunburn, which happens because of one of the components of citrus fruits called furocoumarins. These organic chemical compounds can increase the skin's sensitivity to UV rays, most often in folks with more pale skin tones, as the plant matter (phyto) and light rays (photo) cause a chemical reaction that leads to skin irritation (dermatitis).

How Do You Treat a Margarita Burn?

Minor cases may not require any medical intervention, but should be kept clean and treated with a cold, wet compress for pain. Affected areas can be covered with topical antibiotic ointments and covered with bandages, and should be kept away from the sun. Blisters should never be popped.

In severe cases, where the burns inhibit your ability to go about your daily life, a prescription topical steroid can help to reduce inflammation and decrease associated pain.

Does a Margarita Burn Cause Any Lasting Damage?

The burns and blisters will heal, but they can leave behind darker spots of hyperpigmentation, which may or may not eventually fade—and can darken with new sun exposures.

As with any form of sunburn, a margarita burn can also increase your chances of developing skin cancer.

How Can I Prevent a Margarita Burn?

Avoid juicing limes (or other furocoumarin-containing plants) out in the sunlight, and make sure you thoroughly wash your hands and arms with soap and water after coming into contact with them and before going outside.

And, of course, it's best practice to always wear sunscreen and minimize your skin's exposure to direct UV rays.

Taylor Tomlinson's fourth Netflix comedy special, Prodigal Daughter, released on February 24, sees Tomlinson leaning into her signature blend of self-deprecation, sharp observational wit, and brutally honest storytelling. And it's resonating with audiences across genres, including fans of escapist fare like Bridgerton.

So what makes Prodigal Daughter such a hit with viewers who might usually sip their tea while watching regency-era romance? For one thing, Tomlinson's humor is unfiltered and unpredictable, which are certainly qualities that mirror the guilty-pleasure thrills Bridgerton devotees seek, albeit in a very different genre. Moreover, however, Tomlinson brought up Bridgerton in what fans are calling one of her best jokes yet.

While Bridgerton fans are used to scandalous glances across candlelit ballrooms and juicy plot twists, Tomlinson serves up her own version of "tea" with personal revelations and comedic truths so sharp they make people literally spit out whatever they're drinking.

"New special is spectacular," one viewer commented on Netflix's Instagram post promoting the special. "[It] has brilliant moments, including one of the greatest and cleverest jokes I ever heard—spat my tea out laughing."

The joke?

Tomlinson told the audience that she's been "running into obstacles" she never thought she'd face in queer dating—like getting "dumped by a polyamorous person," which she likened to "getting fired from a part-time job."

"I know some of you don't believe me," she went on. "You're like, 'There's no way you liked being poly, Taylor. You are not cool. You reek of monogamy. I bet you masturbate to Bridgerton. And you know what? I don't. I have, but I don't."

The comedian went on to joke that the Bridgerton comment couldn't possibly make it into the Netflix special. It's way "too vulnerable" for Netflix—unless, of course, it helped the algorithm.

"If you liked Bridgerton..." she joked, suggesting that Netflix would recommend that Bridgerton fans watch her special next.

And, apparently, that's exactly what's happening for many Bridgerton viewers.

"I watched Bridgerton, then saw this advertised… So, I watched it, as well," one person commented. "And I am now a fan!"

In fact, Netflix recommended Tomlinson's special to plenty of Bridgerton viewers. But others had the opposite journey.

"The way I laughed when I finished the special, and Netflix recommended Bridgerton to watch next," one shared, with another adding that "Bridgerton was the first thing [Netflix recommended], and [they] laughed like it was part of the show."

In Prodigal Daughter, Tomlinson tackles all types of weighty topics like religion, sexuality, modern dating, and the messy, chaotic reality of adulthood. Her kind of comedy is smart, relatable, and delivered with impeccable timing. A Bridgerton fan might come for a laugh, but they'll certainly stay for the way Tomlinson makes deeply personal experiences universally hilarious.

The Grateful Dead's loyal fanbase was simply heartbroken when Bob Weirpassed away last month at age 78.

The longtime actress, 51, is executive-producing Summer Tour, which distribution company Utopia is set to screen this summer, Rolling Stone reports. And in a new interview with the magazine, Sevigny opened up about why her new documentary stands out from all the other Dead-centric movies out there.

"This one’s really about this young couple who are in their teens, falling in love. It’s a road movie. It’s also a love letter to America, and some of the things that we can still say are good about the country," she told Rolling Stone with a laugh in an interview article published Thursday, Feb. 26. "And just this act of rebellion and what the music means to the kids. There’s no footage of the band, they aren’t in the movie at all. It’s really just what tour means to a lot of different people."

The After the Hunt actress continues, "Different generations are shown throughout the movie, different friends that [director Mischa Richter has] made while touring himself. So you get all these different insights into why people have decided to follow the Dead, because as we know, this culture has sprung up around the band that’s so devoted. All these different people can speak to why the band means what they mean to them."

OutDaughtered stars Adam and Danielle Busby just shared some huge family news—they've decided to homeschool their quintuplets during the upcoming sixth grade school year.

The couple, who are parents to six children including Blayke, 14, and 10-year-old quints, Hazel,Riley, Parker, Ava and Olivia, shared the update during the Feb. 26 episode of their More Than Reality Podcast. While they explained that the decision took a lot of conversation and prayer, they felt that it was right for their family—but not all of their followers agreed.

Although the couple have spent months hinting that homeschool might be in their future, the announcement divided TLC fans, many of whom did not feel that the couple were equipped to be educators for so many young girls.

Following the podcast going live, Adam spent some time clapping back at negative comments on social media while Danielle chose to speak out in an Instagram story.

"Let me just tell you something. One, you sound like the doctors that told me I wasn't going to survive having quintuplets and they weren't gonna survive," Danielle began. "Two, if you think I can't, you're wrong because, three, God provides me strength, energy, courage, wisdom, all the things I need."

She continued, "I wouldn't be doing homeschool co-op next semester if it wasn't something he placed on my heart for me to really do. So sometimes we have to change the pace of life and go outside of what we necessarily want and do what's best for the calling He has on our life."

Danielle went on to say that she does have hesitations about her capabilities as a teacher but knows that God will put her family on the right path.

"I do not feel equipped in my own strength and capabilities to homeschool the quints. It's overwhelming, it's a lot...but guess what? God is bigger and he's called me to this so I'm stepping into that," she said.

Danielle continued, "I'm trusting in him to provide me with all the things because he would not have put this in my plan if he didn't want me to do that. It's very outside of what I want to do with my life. Maybe it's not what I 'want' but it's what He wants for our life so we're stepping into that and I'm gonna show you that we're gonna thrive though this."

While she noted that she knows everyone has a right to their own opinion, she says her family is going to continue to do what's best for them. Danielle concluded by telling viewers that if they don't agree with her, they are "more than welcome" to unfollow.

"I'm sorry if we feel called to do something and God has laid it out in front of us. We're gonna follow that, not all of the comments that y'all are negatively putting in here," she said.

“Mom said she was Prada me,” she wrote.

The comment section was buzzing with admiration for Gu’s back-to-back fashion moments.

A beloved pizza takeout joint is facing the wrath of decreased consumer spending, with hundreds of store closings ahead.

Papa John's announced earlier today during a regular earnings call that upwards of 300 underperforming storefronts across North America will shutter by the end of next year, according to CNN.

Approximately two-thirds of those restaurants will no longer exist by the end of 2026, with most locations chosen because they're “not meeting brand expectations or lack a clear path to sustainable financial improvement," while others have close enough neighboring stores "where [the brand] can effectively transfer sales to."

It's not yet clear what locations are on the chopping block, but the number amounts to approximately eight and a half percent of pizzerias, with somewhere around 3,500 open locations at the end of 2025. Along with reducing the number of stores, Papa John's laid off about seven percent of its corporate employees.

Per the outlet, the announcement followed a more than five percent decline in sales across the country, which CEO Todd Penegor said “reflected a weak consumer backdrop and elevated promotional environment.”

In the hopes of heading back uphill for the brand, Penegor is turning to major menu upgrades, with Papa John's recently debuting a new pan pizza that the brand boldly believes is worthy of a Michelin star and testing out a wellness-forward dough, not to mention bringing back a decade-old fan-favorite.

Brick-and-Mortar Locations Are Closing Left and Right

Papa John's decision closely follows a similar move from Pizza Hut, which announced just weeks ago that it would be shuttering almost as many stores for the same reasons.

It's not only pizza joints feeling the heat, though—Wendy's is on track to close even more stores, and even grocery and gaming staples are struggling to stay open as consumer habits shift, with some mournful shoppers likening the store closures to a "bloodbath."

However, commenters didn't seem to be surprised by the direction Papa John's is taking, with many citing decreasing pizza size and quality in recent purchases. "...this should be no surprise," one declared, while others even admitted to opting for frozen pizza instead.

Sarah Jessica Parker tried to play matchmaker for one of her Sex and the City co-stars but she immediately got shut down.

In a newly released clip from The Drew Barrymore Show, Kristin Davis revealed that Parker attempted to sign her up for Raya at one point—but she immediately stopped her. Davis explained that at the time, she had no interest in meeting anyone new.

"I said no," Davis shared in the clip posted on Thursday (Feb 26). "Sarah Jessica happily married obviously, so she was like, 'Oh, yeah. I'm setting you up a profile on Raya!' I was like, 'Do not. I will hurt you.'"

While Barrymore shared that she had meet a few nice people on the exclusive dating app, Davis added that she felt it wasn't the right time for her to be dating and she had no need for "chit chat" with random people.

"Number one, I don't want to miss bedtime for my kids. Okay. That's a situation," Davis said. "Thinking of sitting with a stranger, trying to talk to them when I'm missing bedtime. It's hard."

While a friend suggested she consider going on dates during the day, like meeting for a coffee after school drop off, Davis said she understood but admitted she wasn't "quite there yet."

The actress, who is mom to children Gemma and Wilson, says she hopes the energy will "shift a little" in the future but is happy how things are for now.

Davis has been notably private about her dating life through the years and has never been married. In the past, she's been linked to Alec Baldwin as well as LievSchreiber and director Aaron Sorkin but has never spoken extensively about the romances.

Penn Badgleyis sharing his candid thoughts about his Gossip Girlcharacter, Dan Humphrey's romances.

Badgley invited his Gossip Girl co-star, Leighton Meester, to be the guest for the final episode of his podcast,Podcrushed. During the podcast episode, released on February 18, Badgley revealed whether he believed Dan should have ended up with Meester's character, Blair Waldorf. As fans of the series are aware, Dan and Blair had a romance during the show's fifth season. In the sixth and final season of Gossip Girl, which ended in 2012, Blair gets married to Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick). Meanwhile, Dan ends up marrying Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively).

While recording the podcast episode, the You star said he believes Blair and Dan were meant to be with their respective spouses.

"So let me really think about the character, if I'm invested in an outcome, and then I think like he probably ended up with who he was meant to end up with," said Badgley.

He then said that he believed that it makes sense for Blair to marry Chuck.

"I think they ended up with who they were really meant to be with," said Badgley on his podcast.

While Meester didn't share whether or not she agreed with Badgley regarding Dan and Blair's brief romance, she said she enjoyed the characters' relationship in an interview filmed for the fifth season of Gossip Girl. She explained she liked Dan and Blair's fun friendship.

"I think they have a funny relationship and I kind of want to see where that goes 'cause I think it's cute and it's not like a relationship with anyone else," said Meester in the behind-the-scenes interview.

She then said she believed that Blair was able to put her guard down with Dan.

"I think she kind of is her real self with him. And her teasing him only makes him like her more, which is sort of cute," said the I Love LA actress.
