‘Love Story’: Did Ethel Kennedy Ultimately Like Carolyn Bessette?
Carolyn Bessette faced a trial by fire at the Kennedy compound in the latest episode of Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette, where family matriarch Ethel Kennedy appeared to put the nervous Calvin Klein publicist through an intense political dinner initiation.
From being called out for wearing her fashionable scarf at dinner to not being told she had to sign up for breakfast, it almost seemed as though Carolyn's betrothed, John F. Kennedy Jr., set her up for failure with Ethel. Executive producer Brad Simpson shared that John didn't fully prepare Carolyn for the Kennedy family’s strict traditions and intense expectations, leaving her feeling unready during her early visits to Hyannis Port.
And while those early visits were tough, Ethel actually became quite fond of Carolyn to the point of being protective of her, especially after learning of her nephew and Carolyn's explosive Central Park encounter depicted in the episode. “Ethel was surprised when Carolyn admitted to insecurity related to John,” J. Randy Taraborrelli wrote in his 2019 book, The Kennedy Heirs via People. Ethel said to Carolyn: “But you’re so beautiful ... and so smart. Why?”
Ultimately, Carolyn gained Ethel's respect. “I went through that with Bobby at first. Then I finally got it that the only way to survive in this family is to look in the mirror and say, ‘You know what? I’m enough.’ Eventually it will sink in and no one can ever take that way from you. Not even the Kennedys," Taraborrelli wrote in Ethel's voice, adding, “I think you’re more powerful than any of the other women John has dated."
Taraborrelli told People, “Ethel was tough, but then she also tries to protect Carolyn.”
Simpson wanted that first visit to the Kennedy compound in Love Story to convey the complexity of Carolyn's relationship with the family dynamics. “We knew that Carolyn had a complicated relationship with the Kennedy compound,” he told TV Insider. “She went there a lot. I’m sure she had tons of good memories there, but it was a very specific place with a very specific set of rules. This becomes even more prevalent in Episode 8 when they actually fight about the rules. She very much felt on display there. She was married to the crown prince of the Kennedy family. Everyone’s a cousin in the Kennedy family, but he was the ultimate cousin.”
Ryan Murphy's Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FX and streams the next day on Hulu.
Infertility, Jealousy, Rival Sisters: Fox's New Biblical Drama Is More Relatable Than You Think
Fox's new limited series 'The Faithful: Women of the Bible' held its world premiere at London's National Portrait Gallery Thursday, and the show arrives with everything needed to create a riveting narrative: a story about women navigating faith, marriage, infertility, jealousy, and motherhood, all drawn from one of the most impactful pieces of writing in human history.
The three-episode event series premieres March 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox, airing on consecutive Sundays through Easter. Episodes stream on Hulu the following day, with the finale landing on Easter Sunday, April 5.
Minnie Driver leads the cast as Sarah, the Old Testament matriarch married to Abraham (Jeffrey Donovan of Burn Notice and Fargo). Driver has spent three decades playing women in impossible situations. She earned an Oscar nomination for Good Will Hunting in 1997, was in two network sitcoms with About a Boy and Speechless, and built a devoted TV following through The Riches, Will & Grace, and Emily in Paris. The role of Sarah, she suggests, draws on all of it.
Most people know the story's outline: Sarah cannot conceive, instructs her maidservant Hagar (Natacha Karam, 9-1-1: Lone Star) to bear Abraham a child, and lives with the consequences. What the series expands is the interior life that scripture mostly skips.
'Her path to faith was a really interesting and difficult journey,' Driver said at the London premiere. 'Sarah's life and predicament is both relatable and fascinating.' She described the role as one that demanded all three kinds of faith she'd spent her career exploring: romantic, spiritual, and moral, all simultaneously.
The second episode follows Rebekah (Alexa Davalos), Sarah's great-niece, who intervenes in her sons' lives in ways that set sibling rivalry into motion for generations. The third centers on sisters Leah (Millie Brady) and Rachel (Blu Hunt) who are inseparable until they become rivals for the same man, building what Fox describes as 'a fractured but foundational family whose descendants will carry the weight of history.'
The series filmed in Rome and Matera, Italy. CSIcreator Carol Mendelsohn executive produces; René Echevarria (Carnival Row) wrote the pilot and serves as showrunner. Danny Cannon (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) directed the premiere episode.
Three episodes. Three women's stories. The Bible as backdrop. The Faithful arrives March 22 on Fox.
This is the Best New Adults-Only Resort in Cancun, Says a Top 1% Travel Advisor
Cancun has no shortage of adults-only resorts, but truly brand new (not just renovated) openings that feel both polished and worth the airfare are rarer than they sound. That’s exactly why Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres stands out right now. This adults-only, all-inclusive resort opened on February 12, 2025, and still has that brand-new hotel feel. Travel advisor Mariela Reyes of Fora puts it best, calling it “a newly built, thoughtfully designed resort for grown-ups who value comfort, flexibility and a fresh vibe,” which gets at what makes this one feel different from older Cancun-area classics.
If your readers want a Cancun-area stay that feels current, easy and luxurious without tipping into overhyped party or loud-kids territory, this is the hotel you want.

Why this is the best New Adults-Only Resort in Cancun Right NowExcellence Coral Playa Mujeres
The strongest argument for why this works is the word "new." Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres is a genuine 2025 opening, and was built from the ground up with impactful design and architecture in mind. It's a contemporary adults-only property in Playa Mujeres, however, the location itself gives you a more tucked-away setting than competitor hotels. Reyes describes it as a “thoughtfully designed resort for grown-ups,” which helps separate it from louder, nightlife-driven Cancun options in the same price range. The hotel also boasts a staggering sixteen dining and bar venues, many with local cuisine on the menu to highlight the rich cultural roots of the Playa Mujeres.

The Room Guide: Which Suite Is Worth ItExcellence Coral Playa Mujeres
What makes Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres especially easy to recommend is the range of suites, which lets the stay feel tailored rather than one-size-fits-all. There are swim-up options for travelers who want to spend most of the day in and out of the water, private-pool suites for couples who are celebrating their honeymoon or anniversary and rooftop-terrace categories with breathtaking views of the beach below. With 503 suites in total and multiple Excellence Club tiers, the property has the kind of breadth that works for different trip styles. Reyes suggests becoming a member so you can get even more special add-ons reserved for members only.
"The Excellence Club upgrade is definitely worth considering if you want more comfort, like private check-in/out, a VIP lounge, upgraded minibar & room-service menu, private pool/beach areas, premium toiletries, welcome amenities, and more," Reyes says.

What the Stay Actually Feels LikeExcellence Coral Playa Mujeres
If you are the kind of traveler who likes to unpack once and settle in (clothes folded and hung), this is where the resort makes its best argument. With 16 dining and bar options, 24-hour room service, and seven pools, including Club spaces and a rooftop pool, there is enough variety to keep you content if you choose to stay on property. Reyes highlights that “breadth and flexibility” as one of the reasons the resort stands out, and she also notes that the layout feels easier to navigate than older mega-resorts, which goes a long way toward making the whole stay feel more relaxed.
"This resort offers so much flexibility, whether you want to lounge by the pool, nosh on tapas at the bar, order some late-night room service, or just chill," Reyes says. "It has everything: sun, sea, and calm in an refined adult's only setting."
What to Know Before You BookOne of the easiest ways to get this kind of trip wrong is assuming it has to be a full week to feel worth it. In reality, Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres works especially well as a three- to five-night escape, which is enough time to settle into the rhythm, rotate through the restaurants and pools, and still leave feeling like you actually rested. The Playa Mujeres location helps, too, with the resort sitting in a gated enclave about 40 minutes from Cancun International Airport. Reyes is also clear about who will love it most, noting that this is a better fit for travelers prioritizing calm and comfort than for anyone booking Cancun for nightlife first.
"This place is not ideal if you want major nightlife or a super-crowded party vibe," she says. "It leans more toward chill, comfort and modern luxury."

Elvis Presley’s Legendary Confidence Was Actually a Mask, Says ‘EPiC’ Director
Elvis Presley's confidence on and off stage was actually hiding his insecurity, claims EPiC director, Baz Luhrmann.
Luhrmann, who spent years researching the King of Rock and Roll for his films Elvis and EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert, shared his findings in a new interview shared via the official Presley Instagram page.
He claims that the entertainer was "insecure" due to his upbringing. Despite his on-stage swagger, he was reportedly hiding his true feelings throughout his career.
Luhrmann revealed, "When I first did the movie, it was more of an academic thing. I was studying Elvis. I had an office in Graceland."

He continued, "But when you look at these hours and hours of footage, the overwhelming thing apart from that he would actually create the music so organically with his body, is just he's funny. His goofiness and his humanity."
View this post on Instagram"I think you realize that he does that because inside he's this insecure little boy who's dirt poor. Was humiliated by his dad [Vernon Presley] going to jail."

Luhrmann concluded, "He grows into this physical god. Kind of what makes him great also destroys him because he's so enigmatic. So it's such a weird combo of humility and kindness."
The official Graceland website echoes the director's sentiments. They have a page dedicated to Presley's charitable acts within his community and worldwide.

It reads, "He donated thousands to charities, nonprofits, and those who needed a helping hand. Elvis started giving back as soon as his career began, and this was a trend that continued throughout the rest of his life."
Among some of his more notable charitable contributions was raising $65K to build the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor. In 1973, Presley donated the proceeds from his worldwide televised concert, “Aloha from Hawaii,” to the Kui Lee cancer fund.
His daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, shared her thoughts about her father's generosity as shared on the Graceland Giving Back page. "I only remember him giving to people,” she began. “I remember people going to him saying, ‘I just got a bum deal,’ and bang, there was a check. I never saw him not doing something for somebody, ever. That was probably the one thing that kept him sane, was his ability to give back.”
Elvis Presley died on August 16, 1977. He was 42.
Baz Luhrmann's EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert is in theaters now.
Nancy Guthrie Overnight Update: Man Arrested Outside Her Arizona Home After Suspicious Behavior
A man has been arrested outside the home of Nancy Guthrie.
On Thursday, Feb. 26, NewsNation's Brian Entin reported that a man driving a blue car drove by Guthrie's home "50 to 100 times very slowly." Entin said the person continuously drove past the memorial that's been set up outside Guthrie's house "and just kept stopping."
Entin filmed as officers started interacting with the man, who reportedly had a photo of Guthrie, 84, on his phone in the car. Guthrie has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1 and authorities believe that she may have been abducted from her home.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Lee Riches a.k.a. JLR was also outside Guthrie's home when the arrest went down.
"Deputies arrested a man in front of Nancy Guthrie's house. Deputy drove his car away. Man was acting suspiciously with a pic of Nancy Guthrie on him & smelled like marijuana," he wrote on X.
The man's name has not been released.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department has not released any sort of statement about the arrest. In fact, the last social media update from PCSD was back on Feb. 23.

1974 Cover by Rock Legend Ranked Worst Hit Song From the Worst Year in Pop
Taste is subjective. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. These are all good sayings to keep in mind while understanding that there is no universal metric as to what makes a song "good" or "bad." But, despite all that, it is unilaterally accepted that 1974 was the absolute worst year in pop music—and a song by rock legend Eric Clapton has been deemed the worst of the worst.
1974 was a "one of those in-between years, music was in a state of flux, [and] scenes were dying or mutating," per The Telegraph. It's the year that Terry Jacks' withering "Seasons In The Sun" was No. 2 on Billboard's Year-End Hot 100, kept out of the No. 1 spot by Barbra Streisand's maudlin "The Way We Were."
But it was Clapton's cover of Bob Marley's "I Shot the Sheriff" that came in as Paste's worst hit song of 1974. The former Cream guitarist took a song "about anti-cop justice…and [turned] it into a white-washed soft rock hit? Yeah, that checks out."
Clapton's history of making "full-tilt racist rants," as described by Rolling Stone, and recent vaccine skepticism may have played a part in this designation. Ray Stevens' "The Streak" was the second-lowest-ranked song, and the author said, "the only thing keeping this monstrosity out of the bottom spot is the fact that Eric Clapton made music in 1974."
Paul Anka and Odia Coates' "(You're) Having My Baby)" is next, followed by Cher's "Dark Lady," MFSB & The Three Degrees' "TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia)," Bo Donaldson & the Heywoods' "Billy Don't Be a Hero," Helen Reddy's "Angie Baby," Billy Swan's "I Can Help," Paper Lace's "The Night Chicago Died," and Ringo Starr's "You're Sixteen"
Surprisingly, "I Shot The Sheriff" is Clapton's only solo No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 ("Tears In Heaven" only went to No. 2 in 1994).
Clapton heard Marley's version when his bass player, George Terry, played Bob's album, Burnin', according to Songfacts (who claims that Terry convinced Clapton to cover the song; Eric would later say it was his idea.)
"Ska, bluebeat, and reggae were familiar mediums to me," Eric wrote in Clapton: The Autobiography (per Songfacts). "I had grown up hearing them in the clubs and on the radio because of England's growing communities of West Indians, but it was quite new to the Americans, and they weren't as finicky as I was about the way it should be played. Not that I knew myself how to play it, I just knew we weren't doing it right."
Related: 1974 No. 1 Hit Song by a Studio Band Became the First TV Theme to Top Billboard
This isn't to say that 1974 was a bad year for all music. Dolly Partonreleased Jolene that year. Supertramp put out Crime of the Century, arguably their best album. Frank Zappa put out both Apostrophe (featuring "Don't Eat The Yellow Snow") and the jazz-fusion live album, Roxy & Elsewhere.
Elsewhere, Tom Waits made his debut with The Heart of Saturday Night, as did KISS with their self-titled album. Kraftwerk would inspire generations with Autobahn, as would Toots and the Maytals with In The Dark. Funk was abundant as Parliament, Funkadelic and Betty Davis put out albums that were ahead of their time.
But, proving that taste is subjective: Paste ranked "Seasons in the Sun" as the 10 th best song of 1974, ahead of Barry White's "Can't Get Enough of Your Love," Babe." Streisand's "The Way We Were" was No. 4, in between John Denver's"Annie's Song" and Jim Croce's "Time in a Bottle."

Jamie Lee Curtis Calls New Gothic Horror Film a 'Masterpiece'
Jamie Lee Curtis knows a thing or two about movies, and she's not afraid to show it.
The Oscar-winning actress and one of the most beloved Scream Queens recently offered her unfiltered opinion on the upcoming new movie The Bride!, a gothic horror romance film inspired by The Bride of Frankenstein that is coming to theaters next month.
The film is directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal, and stars Jessie Buckley as the titular bride of Frankenstein, opposite Christian Bale as Frankenstein's monster. The movie also stars Penélope Cruz, Peter Sarsgaard, and the director's brother, Jake Gyllenhaal.
Curtis, 67, shared photos of the cast at the London photocall for the film to Instagram on Wednesday, Feb. 25, where she boldly declared the new film a "masterpiece."

And even though fans have yet to see the film, a number of Curtis' followers "can't wait" for the movie to come out, with one person saying they're "so ready and excited" to watch it when it releases in theaters on Friday, March 6.
"Thank you for the praise Jamie. I'll be seeing it opening day," one user wrote in the Instagram comments.
Curtis seems to be on a roll with her movie reviews lately, after recently giving a shoutout to the Oscar-nominated Ryan Coogler film Sinners earlier in the week.
Sinners, which is up for Best Picture at this year's Academy Awards, stars Michael B. Jordan, Delroy Lindo, Hailee Steinfeld, Wunmi Mosaku, Miles Caton and more. Curtis shared an Instagram photo on Monday to share a movie poster with several of the cast members from Sinners, writing just one all-caps word to sum up the film: "BEST."
Sinners is one of the biggest contenders for this year’s Oscars, with a record-breaking total 16 nominations that include several major categories like Best Picture, Director, Best Actor (Jordan), Best Supporting Actress (Mosaku), Best Supporting Actor (Lindo) and Best Original Screenplay.

1970 Hit Song Reached No. 1 Twice—And Changed Lives ‘Massively’
In 1970, the Dutch rock group Shocking Blue hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Venus.” The group made history as the first-ever Dutch band to top the coveted U.S. music chart, per The Current.
“Venus” appeared on Shocking Blue’s 1969 album Scorpio Dance, and it featured singer Mariska Veres, who had joined the group a year earlier. The hit song was written by founding member and guitarist Robbie van Leeuwen, who aspired to write a song about the Roman goddess of love, but made one mistake. According to Stereogum, van Leeuwen mistakenly wrote down the opening line as “the godness on the mountaintop” instead of “goddess,” and Veres sang it that way,
A hit remake in the ‘80sShocking Blue broke up four years after hitting it big with “Venus,” but their song lived on. Fast forward 16 years, and “Venus” was a hit again, this time for English pop group Bananarama.
Bananarama’s version of the song hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on Sept. 6, 1986. It was the third single from the girl group's third studio album, True Confessions.
The group, originally a trio that featured Sara Dallin, Siobhan Fahey, and Keren Woodward, delivered a dance version of the 1970 song. In an interview with Classic Pop magazine, Fahey explained why Bananarama put the club-worthy spin on the classic song
“As soon as we heard Dead Or Alive’s 'You Spin Me Round,' we knew – that’s where we’re going,” she shared. “I loved that record. At that point, we were all on the same page. It was like, who produced Dead Or Alive’s single? Let’s do Venus like that. We’d been struggling with that third album, and we didn’t have a lead single and suddenly we had a single, and it turned everything around.
Woodward added that the success of “Venus” changed the bandmates’ lives “massively” as they achieved sudden international fame.
The cover version changed van Leeuwen’s life, too. Speaking with Interview magazine, Woodward said of “Venus,” “It’s done well for us, that one. It’s been a massive hit."
Dallin chimed in to add that Shocking Blue songwriter van Leeuwen later thanked Bananarama for their version of the song. “It’s done well for the writer," the Bananarama singer shared. “We met him in Amsterdam, and he thanked us for making him a millionaire. He got on his knees and kissed our feet, if I remember correctly.”
Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song Quietly Sell Toluca Lake Home for $14.25M
Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song have made a major real estate move. The longtime couple sold their Toluca Lake estate in an off-market deal that closed just before Valentine’s Day, walking away with a sizable profit.
The four-bedroom, five-bathroom home, originally purchased in 2022 from Kiefer Sutherland for $8 million, sold for $14.25 million on Friday, February 13, according to property records via Realtor.com. Built in 1935 and set on 0.58 acres, the 4,879-square-foot residence was never publicly listed, so it’s unclear what updates were made during their ownership.

The sale marks another strategic property move for Culkin. In January 2025, it was revealed that the Richie Rich actor parted with his longtime New York loft in a separate off-market deal, earning a multimillion-dollar profit after more than two decades.
Once one of Hollywood’s most recognizable child stars, Culkin has shifted into a slower chapter focused on family life with the Suite Life of Zack & Cody alum. People confirmed in January 2022 that the couple were engaged. After first getting together in 2017, they welcomed sons in April 2021 and March 2023.
View this post on InstagramThe pair have kept much of that life private, sharing only occasional glimpses — including a rare Lakers date night in January 2025. In a joint interview with Cosmopolitan, they spoke about how intentionally they’ve protected that space. “The public is like, ‘Wait, they’re together and they have kids?’ Good. That means we did our job,” Culkin said.
Song also recently shared what happened when their sons watched Home Alone for the first time, turning movie night into a parenting moment. “They love all the hijinks and the traps and stuff,” she told E! News. “They have no real concept [of the danger]. My oldest gets it more than my younger son.”
Using the film’s storyline, she added, “I said, ‘They're a stranger if you don't know their name.’ I was like, ‘It doesn't matter if they're someone's parents. If you don't know their name, or you've never seen them before at our house, they are a stranger.’”
For Culkin, buying the iconic Home Alone house once crossed his mind. “I had half a mind to buy it — just for giggles,” he told The New York Times in December 2024. But reality prevailed: “I got kids. I’m busy, man.”

’90s Breakup Anthem Ruled the Charts—Until A Diva Took Its Crown
On this day in 1993, a Whitney Houston breakup anthem broke chart records and held tight to the No. 1 spot for months, becoming one of the best-selling U.S. singles ever, until another diva broke her remarkable record two years later.
On February 27, 1993, Houston's legendary ballad "I Will Always Love You" ranked as the longest chart-topper of all time at 14 weeks, beating the prior record-holder, Olivia Newton-John, whose pop hit "Physical" held the number one spot for 10 weeks in 1982, according to Billboard.
Houston's Dolly Parton–penned song began its run at No. 1 on November 28, 1992. It held tight to the top spot through February 1993.
This astonishing length of time allowed "I Will Always Love You" to become the longest number-one ranking single of all time. However, the song's reign would soon be broken by another '90s diva, Mariah Carey, who charted for 16 weeks in 1996 via a collaboration with Boyz II Men, "One Sweet Day," reported Billboard.

Ironically, Boyz II Men held the top spot as the longest-running number one song of all time in 1992 before being bested by the Houston juggernaut. The singing group dominated the charts for 13 weeks with "End of the Road" until Houston toppled their record with her powerful breakup ballad one year later.
The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania singers reclaimed their record-holding status with Carey, in the latter part of 1995 through 1996. Their collaboration broke Houston's record of two years by topping the singles chart for 16 weeks, and "One Sweet Day" held that record for 23 years.
Then, in 2017, Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito,” featuring Justin Bieber, tied with the chart record of "One Sweet Day," only to be bested by Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, two years later. That song ranked as Billboard's best for 19 weeks until Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” tied that record in July 2024.
For 14 weeks, Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” stayed at the top of the charts, breaking records and capturing the world’s attention. Beyond its run at No. 1, the song became one of the best-selling singles in U.S. history and made the singer a true icon of the era.
This Pop Superstar Appears on More Breakup Playlists Than Any Other Artist
Taylor Swiftmay have found love with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, but she is once again proving she’s the reigning queen of heartbreak. A February 2026 report on Spotify playlists revealed which artist appears on the most breakup playlists and named the most-streamed breakup song. No surprise to Swifties, Taylor Swift is proving she’s the queen of breaking up.
Taylor Swift Dominates Spotify Breakup PlaylistsAccording to the newly released data, Taylor Swift appears on more user-created breakup playlists than any other artist on Spotify, solidifying her status as the voice of love lost. Swift is known for penning some of the most renowned breakup songs, and her song "All Too Well" from her 2012 album Red is the most repeated breakup song on the platform.
The Story Behind "All Too Well""All Too Well" is an emotionally vivid song that reflects on a past relationship and chronicles the slow unraveling of a romance through specific memories. Swift has never officially confirmed the inspiration for "All Too Well," but Swifties have long suspected the song was inspired by her breakup with actor Jake Gyllenhaal. In 2021, Swift released "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)" on Red (Taylor’s Version) and performed the song in its entirety on the Eras Tour, further cementing the track as an essential part of her expansive catalog.
Taylor Swift’s Most Popular Breakup Songs"All Too Well" may be Spotify’s most repeated breakup anthem, but Swift’s musical library is filled with more heartbreak hits that dominate user-created playlists. In addition to "All Too Well," Swift’s most notable breakup songs include "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "Back to December," "I Knew You Were Trouble," "Last Kiss," "Style," and "Death by a Thousand Cuts." Swift’s vast array of heartbreak tunes captures different phases of love lost, from anger and regret to longing and acceptance.

The Most-Streamed Breakup Song on SpotifySwift appears 325 times on Spotify collections, but it is Lewis Capaldi’s "Someone You Loved" that holds the title of the most-streamed breakup track, with over 4 billion plays since 2019. Billie Eilish, Gracie Abrams and Olivia Rodrigo also make the top 10 breakup artists, but there’s no denying that Taylor Swift remains the defining voice of heartbreak and breaking up.
Taylor Swift’s dominance across Spotify user-generated breakup playlists illustrates her ability to write a song for every emotion her listeners experience.

I live Bicoastally—Here's My No-Fail Airport Outfit as a Woman in My 30s
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
I’ve been living and traveling bi-coastally for nearly two decades and for the past ten years splitting my time between San Francisco and New York City. I love being prepared and traveling with the pieces that make me feel at home wherever I go. As time has gone on, my style has evolved and I’ve tried many iterations of airport-chic outfits before landing on go-to looks that keep me comfortable while still looking put together. I always prioritize comfort and practicality, especially when I’m running through terminals or sitting for long stretches of time. Most of the time I’m landing to a family pickup or heading straight to a work event, so looking polished even after a long flight is important to me.

Pictured here is one of my go-to outfits for cross-country travel, especially during colder months. The coat I'm wearing is a vintage cashmere coat that may look structured at first glance but is soft, foldable and easy to travel with. The fur detailing makes it feel extra special without sacrificing comfort. Underneath, I layer cozy and functional pieces including sweatpants that look like jeans, basic layers, compression socks and a plush fleece. Everything is easy to take on and off and I feel and stay comfortable from takeoff to landing. Ahead, how to get the look with the exact pieces and a few similar finds.

When I look for outerwear, I always think about practicality first, but I also want a piece with a fashionable detail. Every time I wear a cozy coat instead of a puffer, I feel more put together while still staying warm. This one strikes that balance perfectly and instantly elevates even the most casual travel outfit, especially with the faux fur collar and rich chocolate brown hue.
Comfortable "Denim": ELLEVEN Sweatpant JeanAmazon.com

When sweatpant jeans first hit the market, I don’t think I’ve ever purchased something so fast. I own a few pairs from different brands, and this Amazon version is genuinely great. They’re affordable, comfortable and truly fool the eye. Sweatpant jeans are one of my top travel hacks.

I’ve tried so many white sneakers over the years, and these Salomon Mary Jane–style sneakers have become my go-to. They’re incredibly easy to slip on and off, very breathable, and the design adds a little extra interest to the outfit without sacrificing comfort.

When it comes to layering, I always reach for something fluffy and cozy. I tend to take red-eye flights, so I love feeling like I’m wrapped up in a blanket and this fleece from Amazon is ultra soft and easy to wear from takeoff to landing. I also appreciate the zip-up pockets, which is a must when traveling.
This midi bag is a recent investment piece that I’ve already taken on multiple trips as my personal item. I’ve received so many compliments on its simple, elegant design and it’s made from sturdy leather that fits all of my essentials while still sliding easily under the seat. I love a bag that works both as a crossbody and a top-handle, especially when I’m on the go. It adds an elevated touch to any outfit and holds up beautifully when I’m running around.
This Anthropologie weekender is one of my current favorite personal-item bags to travel with. It holds shoes on the bottom, fits a laptop, and has room for everything else I need. Sometimes I even toss my purse inside, which feels like the ultimate style and travel hack.

Compression socks are an absolute must for any airport outfit and a travel essential in general. I tend to experience leg strain, and these help my legs feel supported while also reducing swelling on long flights. I own them in both white and black and love to wear them with white sneakers for a cohesive look.

Alison Sweeney Returns to Hallmark in ‘Romance at Hope Ranch’ — How to Watch This Weekend
Alison Sweeney is closing out Hallmark Channel’s Loveuary lineup in a special way. In Romance at Hope Ranch, the fan-favorite star reunites with a familiar co-star — and shares the screen with her real-life daughter, Megan, who makes her acting debut.
Here’s everything to know about the romantic new movie, including when it airs and Parade’s exclusive sneak peek.
Romance at Hope Ranch is the final Loveuary movie of 2026In Romance at Hope Ranch, Hope Morgan (Alison Sweeney) sets out to begin a new chapter of her life—fulfilling her childhood dream of running a ranch in the picturesque town of Ruidoso, New Mexico and reviving the beloved Giddy Up Gala.

Seventeen-year-old Megan Sweeney appears as Hope’s daughter, Maggie, marking her first-ever film role. We asked Sweeney if she gave her daughter any tips ahead of her first day on set. She said, "Megan and I had a chat before she committed to the role about what it means to show up prepared and professional, and she did exactly that. I couldn’t have been prouder watching her on set, as her mom and as the film producer."
She added, "She has performed in school plays, but Romance at Hope Ranch was different. She felt the nerves at first, but she recalibrated quickly and delivered. In fact, I may have struggled more than she did because her character is heading off to college, and as we filmed the scene where my character says goodbye in her dorm room, I felt the reality of art imitating life since I’ll be doing that for real soon enough. That moment hit me in a way I didn’t expect."

Alison Sweeney (Hope)The Days of our Lives actress has starred in over 30 films for Hallmark Media, including the fan favorite The Irresistible Blueberry Farm,Hannah Swensen Mystery series and The Wedding Veil trilogy.
We asked Sweeney, who also serves as executive producer on this film, if she had to learn any new skills for the film. "In developing this movie, there were nods to my real life and that of my family. I grew up going to a barn and caring for horses so this role gave me the opportunity to roll up my sleeves more than most and lean into the part of my personal hobby that I really enjoyed. From lifting hay barrels to riding horses, it was fun to challenge myself in new ways with this character and to have a lot of fun her," she told Parade.
It's been a while since we've seen a new Hannah Swensen movie so we asked Sweeney when we'd see a new one. "Next Saturday! I’m thrilled to have back to back movies on Hallmark Channel (and the next day on Hallmark+) so make sure to watch Sugar & Vice: A Hannah Swensen Mystery next Saturday at 8 pm ET/7 pm CT. It’s a fun closed door story where we can’t rely on technology for figuring out the killer, we had to sort through the clues as the killer was amongst us. For both movies, I’ll be on social media watching with you so make sure to tag me in your posts or tweet with me on X."

Gabriel Hogan (Jack)Hogan is best known for his role as Peter Morris on Heartland and Ike Crystal on Tacoma FD. He comes from an acting family. Both of his parents are well known actors, Michael and Susan Hogan (the two appeared together as husband and wife in one of Hallmark Channel's first holiday films, The Christmas Secret). His wife, Inga Cadranel, is also an actress. Previous credits include My Christmas Hero, Prince of Peoria, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Hogan and Sweeney have worked together in the past, most notably on the Hannah Swensen movies, so Parade asked her to tell us something about Hogan viewers might not know about him. She revealed, "Gabe and I have worked together for many years on Hannah Swensen Mysteries and there’s an Easter egg in this movie that nods to our history of working together. What viewers may not know is that Gabe is a good dancer. Victor Webster and I had great dance scenes in a recent Hannah Swensen and you’ll see Gabe’s skills in this movie."

Who Is Matthew Lillard’s Wife? Inside His 25-Year Marriage to Heather Helm
Matthew Lillard might be best known for playing psychotic killer Stu Macher in Scream, voicing Shaggy Rogers in every Scooby-Doo project for the past two decades, or terrifying a new generation as William Afton in Five Nights at Freddy's—but the 56-year-old actor's real-life love story is the polar opposite of his unhinged characters. Lillard has been married to realtor Heather Helm since August 26, 2000 and their relationship is basically the gold standard for Hollywood marriages.
"24 years of marriage. In Hollywood that's equivalent to, like 47 human years," Lillard joked on Instagram in 2024. "I am as lucky as it gets. I adore you madly Heather Lillard. True story." And he's not just saying that for the 'gram—the couple's devotion to each other is evident in everything from their social media posts to the way they've raised their three children—all while keeping their family life refreshingly private. Heather—a Southern California native who's built her own successful career in luxury real estate—has been Matthew's partner through every career high and low, from indie films to blockbusters to his highly-anticipated return in Scream 7.
Their meet-cute is straight out of a rom-com—fitting, since Matthew starred in She's All That—and their marriage has lasted longer than most Hollywood relationships combined. Let's meet the woman who captured the heart of this beloved actor. Here's everything you need to know about Heather Helm!
Who Is Matthew Lillard's Wife?Heather Helm was born on July 17, 1971, in Pasadena, California—making her about 18 months younger than her husband (Matthew's birthday is January 24, 1970). A true Southern California native, Heather grew up in the Glendale/La Cañada area and attended La Cañada High School, graduating in 1989. She went on to earn a bachelor's degree in English Literature from UCLA in 1993.
View this post on Instagram What Does Matthew Lillard's Wife Do for a Living?Heather Helm is a powerhouse in the luxury real estate world, but her career path didn't start there. After graduating from UCLA, she landed her first major role as Director of Special Event Marketing at The Walt Disney Company, where she managed blockbuster movie debuts and multimillion-dollar marketing campaigns. Talk about pressure!
However, Heather's true passion lay elsewhere. She'd always loved interior design and architecture—Pasadena's breathtaking buildings had captivated her since childhood—so in 2009, she made the leap to real estate full-time. And she absolutely crushed it. Heather works at Compass (a major real estate company) with Ted Clark, where she manages an estate section.
Her specialty? Luxury properties, though she works across all price ranges. Heather has built her business primarily through referrals and word-of-mouth, thanks to her reputation for honesty, empathy and positive energy. She treats clients with genuine care—many of her clients have become friends and vice versa. In August 2023, she even posted about selling a home for friends, writing, "When you sell your friends/neighbors/clients beautiful home … We will miss you but can't wait to see the amazing new place in Atlanta!"
Her success speaks for itself: She is frequently ranked among top-producing agents in the Pasadena area. Not too shabby for someone who pivoted careers in her late 30s!
Beyond real estate, Heather is deeply involved in philanthropic work. She's a Founder's member of Circle of Friends, a longtime member of The Pasadena Children's Guild, and a supporting member of Huntington Hospital. She clearly believes in giving back to the community that raised her.
How Did Matthew Lillard and Heather Helm Meet?Okay, this story is actually adorable. Matthew and Heather met at a party in the late 1990s (most sources point to 1998). Matthew was immediately smitten—like, completely head-over-heels, love-at-first-sight smitten. But here's where it gets romcom-level cute: During their brief conversation, Heather mentioned that she'd be attending a friend's wedding.
And what did Matthew do? He literally invited himself to the wedding so he could spend more time with her. Some sources say the wedding was in Italy, while others say it was just a general wedding event, but either way—Matthew showed up specifically to see Heather again. Bold move? Absolutely. Did it work? You better believe it.
"In ten minutes, I saw her and I knew," he shared in an interview. "At the end of the trip, I thought, 'Oh my God. This is the woman I'm going to marry.'" Apparently, Heather felt the same connection, because the two began dating shortly thereafter.
They made their relationship Instagram-official (before Instagram was even a thing!) in 1998, appearing together at industry events. After about two years of dating, they decided to make it forever.
Matthew and Heather tied the knot on August 26, 2000 in a ceremony that—while specific details remain private—was attended by close family, friends and some fellow celebrities. The newlyweds were so committed to nurturing their relationship that Matthew actually took a break from his busy film career to spend quality time with his new wife. How sweet is that?

Do Matthew Lillard and Heather Helm Have Kids?Yes! Matthew and Heather have three children together: daughters Addison Grace and Macey Lyn, plus son Liam. And in true Matthew Lillard fashion, even the timing of their first child's birth was cinematic.
Their eldest daughter—Addison Grace Lillard—was born on June 13, 2002—the exact same day Scooby-Doo premiered in theaters. "I was literally holding my newborn child, and the head of the studio called to [say] congratulations," Matthew recalled. "And I said, 'Yeah, she's beautiful. I can't believe it.' He's like, 'No, we just greenlit the second movie.'" Imagine juggling fatherhood and a major franchise greenlight on the same day!

As of February 2026, Addison is 23 years old. She's followed in her parents' footsteps by studying drama and visual arts at UCLA (her mom's alma mater!). Heather has described Addison as an "incredible human," artist, activist, and "everyone's ray of sunshine."
Two years after Addison arrived, the Lillards welcomed their second daughter—Macey Lyn Lillard—on October 19, 2004. Macey—affectionately nicknamed "Ace" by her family—is now 21 years old. She made her first major public appearance when she joined her dad at the premiere of He's All That in Hollywood. In June 2023, she graduated from Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, a private all-girls Catholic high school in La Cañada Flintridge.
Finally, the couple welcomed their only son—Liam Lillard—in April 2008. As of February 2026, Liam is 17 years old and, like his older sisters, has been raised largely out of the public eye.
Matthew and Heather are extremely protective of their children's privacy. While they occasionally share glimpses of family life on social media, they've made a conscious effort to let their kids grow up as normally as possible despite having a famous father. The family of five lives in the Los Angeles area, where they enjoy what Matthew describes as a "boring suburban" lifestyle—and he means that as the ultimate compliment.

What's the Secret to Their 25-Year Marriage? In an exclusive interview with People, Matthew revealed the one rule that's kept his marriage strong for a quarter-century: "We don't go to bed angry," he explained. "I mean, we've been married 25 years, which is over a hundred years in Hollywood. And then, I mean, 'don't go to bed angry' is pretty pure."
But beyond that? Matthew doesn't really believe in a rulebook. "But what are the other rules? I don't really have rules," he admitted. Instead, he and Heather have built something even better: a genuine partnership based on balance and mutual respect.
"I've been married 24 years in a crazy business," the Scream star told E! News. "We never had a difficult time. We're good yin-yang. I am very carefree, like, I will jump off a cliff a million times. And my wife has the ability to balance that with a sense of diligence, and she's very prudent." He added that Heather has been "incredible to parent with and a real gift to partner."

1992 Hit Ranked No. 1 ‘Most Provocative Songs’ of All Time
Rock and roll has always loved to break the rules, but sometimes the establishment pushed back harder than a harsh review.
BBC Music Magazine just published a new ranking titled "OUTLAWED: Rock’s 21 Most Provocative Songs, Ranked," spotlighting tracks that “enraged censors, provoked controversy, and challenged authority” over the decades.
And the No. 1 pick is a familiar lightning bolt: Rage Against the Machine’s 1992 protest anthem “Killing in the Name.”

In the ranking, the song is framed as one of modern rock’s most explosive statements against abuses of power, with its message and intensity making it a frequent target for bans and radio restrictions. The track, originally released on the band’s self-titled debut album, has long been associated with protests against police brutality and systemic injustice.
The list stretches across eras and styles, mixing classic rock giants with punk, metal, and politically charged crossover hits. The ranking includes songs that were banned for everything from perceived drug references and sexual content to anti-establishment messaging.
This isn't the first time "Killing in the Name" has been ranked on a list like this. In 2010, The New Statesman placed it No. 12 on its list of the "Top 20 Political Songs." And earlier this year, it shot up the digital song sales charts, most likely due to the use of the song by protestors in Minneapolis.

Here are a few other notable entries from the list:
- The Beatles’ “A Day in the Life” (No. 19)
- The Rolling Stones’ “Let’s Spend the Night Together” (No. 17)
- The Doors’ “Light My Fire” (No. 16)
- AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell” (No. 14)
- Lou Reed’s “Walk on the Wild Side” (No. 12)
- Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall (Part II)” (No. 5)
- Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s “Relax” (No. 4)
- Sex Pistols’ “God Save the Queen” (No. 3)
The countdown also makes room for songs whose controversies became part of their mythology, including “Louie Louie” by The Kingsmen (No. 9) and the Velvet Underground’s “Heroin” (No. 11).
But at the top of the list, BBC Music Magazine lands on “Killing in the Name” as a defining example of how censorship often fuels notoriety rather than burying it, turning a song’s message into something even louder.
