Firefly's Nathan Fillion Faced Down a Man With a Bottle — While the 'Star Trek' Cast Watched

Fri, 02/27/2026 - 10:36am

Nathan Fillion stepped between a man holding a bottle and a group that included most of the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation. 'Don't do this,' he told the man. 'Walk away now.' Two police cars pulled up seconds later. Jonathan Frakes called it heroic. Fillion called it lucky.

That moment, recounted on the Dropping Names podcast hosted by Frakes and Brent Spiner, with guests Fillion and Alan Tudyk, is the kind of story that reminds you that the people who play heroes on screen occasionally have to be one in real life. The four had been walking back to their Dallas hotel after a post-convention dinner when a threatening stranger emerged from the shadows, bottle in hand. 'He's like, 'I want to kill you guys,' Spiner recalled. 'And it was like a movie.'

Fillion, true to form, deflected the credit. 'I remember kind of taking his energy, just kind of redirecting him,' he said. What he couldn't redirect were the two police cruisers that pulled up at exactly the right moment, lights going, and grabbed the man. 'See,' Fillion told him as officers moved in. 'I told you.'

The Dallas story is just the most dramatic moment in a conversation that spans four decades of television, two beloved spaceships, and more Hollywood near-misses than any one podcast should reasonably contain.

Fillion and Tudyk's friendship, it turns out, predates Fireflyby years. It begins, improbably, at a burrito joint. Tudyk was waiting tables at Harry's Burritos on Manhattan's Upper West Side when Fillion would come in with a girlfriend. 'When Alan and I met on Firefly, we realized that he was my waiter,' Fillion said. Tudyk eventually got fired from Harry's twice, appealing his first dismissal all the way to the owner, only to get fired again. 'He really didn't like me,' Tudyk said.

Firefly premiered on Fox in September 2002 and was cancelled after only 11 of its 14 completed episodes aired, yet it remains one of the most passionately followed cult shows in television history. At the Fox Upfronts that year, flush with the excitement of landing his own spaceship, Serenity, Fillion spotted a familiar face in a restaurant vestibule and walked straight up to him. 'You don't know me,' he said, 'but not for nothing — I just got my own spaceship.' The man's response? 'Mazel tov.' That man was Jonathan Frakes. 'That was me,' Frakes said, hearing the story again nearly two decades later.

The conversation also turned to what fan conventions have genuinely meant. Not the autographs or the photo ops, but the human exchanges across the table. 'If you actually looked up and you had a little moment,' Fillion said, 'you can sometimes see what your show meant to them, or you can sometimes see if they're in pain or in trouble.' Frakes recalled a Dallas steakhouse dinner where a starstruck waitress kept walking in, locking eyes with Fillion, and walking back out without taking anyone's order. 'The rest of us are going, 'I guess we don't get a drink.'

Fillion and Tudyk played Captain Malcom Reynolds and Hoban 'Wash' Washburn, respectively, while Frakes and Spiner played Commander William Riker and Commander Data on ST:TNG.

Two spaceships, four decades, one very eventful Dallas trip. Go to full burn and / or Warp 10 and enjoy.

Austin Recently Turned 69

Earlier this month, Austin took to Instagram to share a photo of herself stepping outside on her 69th birthday in a floral bikini. With her bouncy blonde hair and phenomenal body, it’s hard to believe she’s 69. It’s safe to say her dedicated fitness regimen is working well!

This isn’t the first time Austin has posted a fun throwback. Back in October, she showed the world how little she’s changed in 30 years by sporting her trademark blue leotard in a side-by-side photo. Paired with blue socks and high-top sneakers, it’s safe to say that the exercise entrepreneur has barely changed in three decades. Staying happy and healthy sure does wonders for the body!

1976 No. 1 One-Hit Wonder Was Written in Five Minutes

Fri, 02/27/2026 - 10:27am

In 1976, the band Wild Cherry scored their first and only No. 1 hit with the song “Play That Funky Music.” The song, which appeared on the Ohio-based funk rock band’s self-titled 1976 debut album, hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on September 18, 1976.

While it also hit No. 1 on the Hot Soul Singles chart, “Play That Funky Music” was the only Top 40 hit for the ‘70s band, which included lead singer Ron Parissi, guitarist Bryan Bassett, bassist Allen Wentz, and drummer Ron Beitle. Session musicians playing trumpets and saxophones were also included on the song, which Parissi wrote in minutes.

In an interview with Classic Bands, Parissi said the writing process for the Wild Cherry hit was a “five-minute thing.” The songwriter explained that the idea for the tune came after the band booked gigs at disco clubs and were taunted by some of the patrons for not playing “funky” music.

“When the disco machine would go off, they'd say, ‘You white boys gonna play any funky music?’” Parissi recalled. “Those guys were upset because we were like a rock band, a funk band. … Finally, the drummer just spoke up and said, ‘Yeah, it's like they keep saying 'play that funky music, white boys.’ And I said, 'Yeah, that's a good title.'"

“There was the beat that was going on in this big disco club we were playing,” Parissi shared. “I was on my way to the stage, and I was listening to the beat of the song, and I just started writing lyrics, 'play that funky music,' and I wrote the last verse in the car on the way home and ... it was a five-minute thing."

The song became bigger than the band

During an interview on Harry Connick, Jr,'s talk show, Parissi explained why Wild Cherry played disco clubs in the mid-1970s. “We were a rock band, and disco was coming in, and the rock clubs were closing down," he said. "And the only place I could get work—we were hard workin’, five to six nights a week—and as the rock clubs were closing down, the discos were opening up. And I told the fellas one night we were playing in a disco, I took him back on a break, and I said, ‘I can't book this band anymore unless we're gonna start playing more dance music.’”

“So we had had some people in the disco that we were playing, and they would come up, they would say, 'White boys don’t play funky music,’ and I said, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're working it out.'" Parissi recalled. "So I finally told the guys, I said, 'How about if Led Zeppelin would do, ‘That's the Way I Like it.’ ' So I walked out and wrote down exactly what was going on with us.”

“I had the first two verses and the chorus written by the time I got to the stage, and I wrote the last verse in a car on our way home,” he added. “My joke’s always been if I knew how big that song was going to be, I would’ve stayed up that night and wrote 700 more songs.”

Parissi told Classic Bands that “Play That Funky Music” ultimately became “bigger” than Wild Cherry. "The thing is about that song, it became bigger than all of us, believe me,” he said. “I didn't even know what I did when I did that song. …When I first wrote it, it was what it was, and now it's taken on another life. It's wonderful.”

'Traitors' Star Maura Higgins Addresses Rob Rausch Dating Rumors and the Luxury Gift He's Buying Her

Fri, 02/27/2026 - 10:23am
Warning: Spoilers for The Traitors Season 4 ahead.

Ditching the bikini for a Balmoral bonnet, Love Island star and host Maura Higgins was the final Faithful standing in The Traitors season four.

Clinging to her friendship with Rob Rausch, also a Love Island legend, she and her devil in disguise voted out Traitor Eric Nam, with Higgins believing she and the real-life snake wrangler were good to split the pot. Unfortunately for her, Rausch was the other Traitor and upon disclosing his diabolical betrayal, she's was open-mouthed shocked and at a loss for words. Until she called him an absolute A-hole.

Immediately after the finale, the show's reunion, hosted by Andy Cohen, was available to stream. During the hour-long tell-all, Higgins addressed the treachery, as well as the Rausch dating rumors and the luxurious way Rausch is begging for forgiveness.

“So, let’s talk about the elephant in the room,” Cohen started, addressing Higgins and Rausch. “There is undeniable chemistry between the two of you.” With Rausch giggling and Higgins nodding, Cohen asks, “Am I right?”

“People say,” Higgins said. “I’ve heard that.”

“Was there ever a moment in the castle where you two were crushing on each other?" Andy pressed.

“A lot of people in the whole cast was saying that to us, weren’t they?” Higgins said to Rausch, who nodded.

“We were genuinely just friends,” Higgins said. “Weren’t we?” she directed to Rausch. “Like, that it the truth. Everyone’s silent, but wasn’t it, Rob?”

Rausch just cheekily smiled, then said, “We never did anything.”

Higgins continued, “We never had a flirt,” to which Rausch opposed with a “eh, but maybe we did” face.

“What?! Wait. What’s that face?” Higgins said.

Laughing, he said, “I mean, I feel like we probably flirted a little bit.”

“But, like, we were just having fun,” she said.

“Yeah, it was never like that,” Rausch said.

“Could it be?” Cohen interjected.

“She’ll probably never trust me again, you know?” Rausch said. “It’s probably over with.”

“You get my Birkin, you’re forgiven. We go from there,” she said.

View this post on Instagram

In a cover story with Us Weekly, she opened up a bit more.

“No, nothing ever happened between me and Rob,” she exclusively told the outlet. “I genuinely look at Rob like a brother. Literally nothing ever happened.”

She added, “People online are saying I’m ‘d***matized.’ Believe me, you would know if I was d***matized. If they think that’s me flirting, then they do not know me and they have never watched me on Love Island.”

Also during the reunion, Higgins revealed that she’s single. Hausch, on the other hand, revealed he’s not and, in fact, is in a relationship that began two months ago.

“At the moment you become America’s hearthrob, you lock it down.”

View this post on Instagram

Higgins looked visibly disappointed. But she does have a Birkin to look forward to.

Early in the reunion, Rausch revealed his plans for the $220,800 prize purse to Andy, saying, "Probably save it for the future, "and " I have to buy Maura a Birkin Bag."

Getting a tip from his fellow Traitor, Lisa Rinna noted he'll be spending a minimum of $10,000 on the designer purse.

It's the least he could do after leaving her jaw on the floor of the Scottish castle's Round Table room.

The Traitors season four is streaming in its entirety on Peacock.

When Will 'Boston Blue' Return? How to Watch the Midseason Premiere

Fri, 02/27/2026 - 10:17am

When Boston Blue returns, Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) is going to have to make a commitment to his new city and his new family, but the good news is it gives the writers so many more stories to tell and rich new ground to cover.

The midseason finale cliffhanger made it look as if Jonah Silver (Marcus Scribner) killed Ronan Flaherty (Jack Murray), the man who went to prison for killing his father, but has been released on a technicality, and it causes Danny to jump into action.

“It's a very intense situation,” Wahlberg told Parade during the Television Critics Association press junket for Boston Blue. “Danny jumps into action, knowing that Lena [Sonequa Martin-Green] won't be able to help because it'll be a conflict. He's jumping in and realizes if I have to be there for my new family, it's going to take me to be a Boston cop to do it. And so, he makes the commitment [to leave the NYPD], makes the change, and shows how committed he is.”

Here’s everything we know about the midseason premiere of Boston Blue.

When does Boston Blue come back?

Boston Blue Season 1 is set to resume with new episodes on Friday, Feb. 27.

Is there a trailer for the midseason premiere of Boston Blue?

Watch this intimate scene between Lina Silver and her grandfather, Rev. Peters from tonight's episode.

What can fans expect from Boston Blue when it returns?

The official tune-in information for the “Hard Truths” episode reads: “Following the release of Ben’s killer from prison, Jonah continues to struggle with anger and grief, confronting the killer and putting family bonds to the test, and Mae and Sarah face painful truths that could change everything. Meanwhile, Danny and Lena take on a high-stakes case that uncovers deep-rooted secrets and forces unlikely alliances.”

“I'm going to quote Tom Selleck, who said this so eloquently so many years ago on Blue Bloods, and I think we've done a good job of carrying this forward in our show,” Wahlberg said. "Tom said, ‘The jeopardy in a show like this is not whether we're going to catch the bad guy or not, right? We know who the characters are. They're not going anywhere. It's whether or not the family is going to … that fight at dinner, that fight after dinner, or that disagreement between partners is going to go one step beyond irreparable.’ That's the real jeopardy. Are we going to be able to make up at the end of the day, not the crime stuff because we put family first at the center of these shows, that's where the jeopardy must live. Thank you, Tom.”

Although you’re sensitive to your dog’s wants and needs, you’re not a pushover. Aries instills the strength and energy you need to keep up with your dog. Between the sympathetic Pisces energy and assertive Aries energy, your pup will always feel cared for.

Your dog can count on you because you never fail to be there for them, ensuring their happiness.

OTHER: What People Misunderstand About You, Based on Birth Month

August

A dog will be instinctively drawn to your playful Leo energy. You’re always thinking of new things to keep your dog endlessly entertained. Finding different courses to train your dog on, new tricks to teach, and games to play are your jam. But you’re not only a fun pawrent—you’re a responsible one, too. The Virgo energy comes through in your diligence. You have an unparalleled eye for detail, so you’re keenly aware of your dog’s cues, moods, and more. Watch Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend Battle It Out for 3-Chair Turn Soul Singer on 'The Voice' Season 29

Fri, 02/27/2026 - 10:09am

The competition between Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend continues on The Voice Season 29 Blind Auditions as the “Battle of the Champions” coaches fight for the three-chair turn artists.

On Monday night that means the three will go head-to-head to try to win 28-year-old Mike Steele from the Mississippi Delta to their teams.

In this sneak peek, Mike took the stage and gave a soulful performance of Giveon's "For Tonight."

“I don't feel like you're talking voice matches your singing voice,” was the first thing Kelly said after he finished singing and introduced himself.”

“I get that a lot,” Mike responded.

Then John jumped in because he felt that Mike belonged on his team, asking the singer what he does in Mississippi.

“I make music on the side but I went back to school to better my life for my children,” Mike told him.

Mike, who was a teacher assistant before he went back to school, is currently studying music.

Then John got down to business, saying, “I felt like you made so many cool choices and your tone is really interesting. It has richness and depth. I'm curious what other artists you like to cover?”

“Well, I am a soul singer, so I like Giveon, Tyrese, Jodeci,” Mike said.

“Kind of like leaning like a little ‘90s, 2000s,” John said, evaluating the answer. “I feel like that's coming back right now and you're young, so you didn't even really experience it when it was happening.”

“We're old, we did,” Adam joked.

“We were all like, ‘Oh, this is a couple skate. You don't even know what a skating rink is probably,’ Kelly added.

But John undeterred continued, “Let me tell you, Mike, we turned for you because we loved your voice, that rich baritone is rare. I'm a baritone myself and I would love to have you on Team Legend. I feel like we could have a lot of fun working together.”

Then it was Adam’s turn to try to woo Mike to his team. He said, “What I love so much about your voice is it's that deep, rich voice I wish I had. But as strong and robust as your tone is, I think in the upper register there's room for you to grow even more and that's my world. I live in the high register, especially in the transition into those falsettos that were really, really sweet. In a weird way, maybe I'm crazy, I heard a little bit of me and John in the same voice because when he was up high, it was high, and it feels like you could do anything. I just want to be a part of it, so that's why I'm here.”

Then Kelly had a suggestion to make, coaching Mike even before he joined a team.

“I grew up on all that music you just mentioned, too, but I think that would be a more predictable path to actually cover all those artists, or I think it would be really cool… I don't even know if you like this artist, but like I heard you singing ‘Hello’ by Adele or even like Sam Smith,” she said.

John jumped in on Kelly’s idea, but pooh-poohed it, saying, “It’s so interesting she brought up doing other genres because what you're trying to do here is win fans, so it is cool to do a cover here and there that's kind of outside of that, but also establish your identity as an artist so people know what kind of album they're going to expect from you.”

And then Kelly tried what may have been reverse psychology, saying, “I’m going to be be honest with you. Everything he said was good, but we are so different so everything he said, I would not do, so don't choose me if that's what you like. Here's why: It's because I went on a competition and sang Aretha Franklin almost every week and then I made a pop rock album. This is the time I think that you should stretch yourself a bit.”

Related: Watch Kelly Clarkson Storm the Stage for a Hug in The Voice Premiere: ‘What a Gift’

And John pointed out, “But he’s doing it on national TV. This is his moment to tell people who he is.”

Adam interrupted, saying, “I hate when mom and dad fight.”

But Kelly wasn’t done. She said, “I  think this is the moment that you are able to stretch and do things, so I don't think you should pick me if that's the route you want to go because I am totally going to push you to pick things that maybe are outside the box."

“We’ve won this show, all of us have, so you're not going to go wrong, I think you’ve just got to follow your gut as to where the best place is to go,” John said, ending the argument.

Who does Mike pick as his coach? Tune in on Monday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC to find out. Streams next day on Peacock.

Former Elvis Presley Flame Goes 'Back in Time' With Rare '70s Photos of the King

In the post—which also featured throwback photos of Thompson's ex-husbands Caitlyn Jenner and David Foster—she gave fans a glimpse at some intimate moments she shared with Elvis, as well as his daughter, Lisa Marie Presley.

One photo showed Thompson sitting with Elvis with a young Lisa Marie on her lap as they attended one of Elvis' karate events. In another one of the pictures, Lisa Marie could be seen in between Elvis and Thompson, as her dad sweetly held her in his arms.

Another photo showed Thompson clapping for Elvis at one of his shows, while the music icon was standing up and receiving a round of applause.

Thompson, now 75, dated Elvis between 1972 and 1976 following his split from ex-wife Priscilla Presley. Less than a year after his breakup with Thompson, Elvis died at the age of 42 in August 1977.

'80s Classic Rock Icon Reacts to Being Snubbed From Reunion Plans

Fri, 02/27/2026 - 10:00am

For fans of one of the biggest rock bands of the ‘80s, the idea of unheard material surfacing from the vault sounds like a dream. But for Sammy Hagar, the announcement comes with mixed emotions.

After drummer Alex Van Halen revealed he’s developing an archival project built around unfinished recordings—including drum tracks from himself, guitar parts from the late Eddie Van Halen and bass contributions from Eddie’s son, Wolfgang Van Halen—questions quickly turned to whether other former members would be involved, specifically Hagar and former bassist Michael Anthony.

Hagar says the answer is quite simple.

“No. We haven't been asked, number one,” he said during an appearance on Rock of Nations on Thursday, February 26.

READ MORE: ’80s Classic Rock Icon Reacts to Being Snubbed From Reunion Plans

The singer didn’t just brush it off. Instead, he explained just how much music may still exist from his era with the band. According to Hagar, 78, their creative process involved a lot of marathon jam sessions that were always rolling tape.

“Everything that I ever did, and every time we made a record, we recorded hundreds of hours of jam and music, and then we'd cut 'em up, made songs,” he explained. “That's the way we did it, right? So there's so much stuff from Mike and I and Ed and Al in the studio.”

READ MORE:Legendary ’80s Metal Band to Take ‘Well Deserved Break’

He even recalled how multiple tracks from the 1986 album 5150 grew out of a single extended session. “Like I said, just the initial day that I went in there, we got 'Summer Nights', we got 'Good Enough' and the beginnings of 'Get Up' from [the 1986 album) 5150—three songs that came from that eight-hour jam.”

While acknowledging that the project ultimately belongs to Alex, Hagar admitted the omission stings. “I'm disappointed that Mike and I wouldn't be invited. It's, like, what? Are you kidding me? We're still alive. We're out here doing it. We're playing those songs. We can still do it, you know?” he claimed.

Anthony has also weighed in on how the unreleased material should be handled: “The way I personally feel about it is, if they wanted to do it justice, [the best idea would be] to just finish it up as a great instrumental nod to Eddie,” he said in a recent interview on Cleveland’s 98.5 WNCX.

He suggested that adding a new singer, instead of Hagar, could overcomplicate things. “You know, because getting a new singer in there, we’re not forming a new band, and then you’ve got to work on lyrics and all that stuff. And who knows when anything would be put out at that point.” Instead, he suggested the band focus on strictly instrumental music.

For now, the project remains in progress. And as for Hagar and Anthony, they’re focused on their upcoming Las Vegas residency celebrating the band’s catalog with his supergroup, Best of All Worlds Band.

Travis Kelce Has This Advice for Anyone Nervous About Asking Someone Out

Fri, 02/27/2026 - 9:59am

Who better to ask for dating advice than Travis Kelce? After all, the three-time Super Bowl champion is engaged to Taylor Swift after a two-year whirlwind romance.

During this week’s new episode of his New Heights podcast, co-hosted by his brother, Jason Kelce, a caller phoned in to ask for some tips on how to ask someone out.

To start, Travis, 36, said, “I think first you gotta figure out what you do like about her? You like the way she looks? The way she dresses? You like how funny she is? You like how kind she is?”

Once you’ve got that part figured out, Travis advised paying the person a “compliment” to “get you in the door at least,” adding, “You gauge how she reacts to that, and then that gives you a better understanding of whether or not she would be willing to go out with you. But that's always a good conversation starter to let someone know that you like them.”

After some back-and-forth banter between the brothers, Jason, 38, reasoned that you’ve just got to go for it. “Here's what you do, you ask her out,” he said, to which Travis replied, “Yeah, there's no other way around it other than you just gotta just gotta do it, man. You just gotta own it. You gotta have some cojones. What's the worst she's gonna say? No?”

Ultimately, Travis noted that being prepared is half the battle. “Have a conversation starter and then have a nice segue into maybe hanging out at the movies or at the mall or wherever your destination is,” he explained.

“You gotta have a destination where you wanna take her. That's enticing. And then, yeah, go from there, bud," the tight end concluded before joking, “If you're asking advice from us, you better figure it out on your own.”

BLACKPINK's New Mini Album Finally Drops After World Tour's 'Intense Schedule'

Fri, 02/27/2026 - 9:47am

After a long three years, everyone's favorite K-Pop girl group is back with new music.

Blackpink just released Deadline, a mini album that features five tracks including the hit single "Jump."

Also on Friday, Feb. 27, the beloved quartet from South Korea — comprised of Jisoo, Jenny, Rosé, and Lisa — shared a music video for "Go," another cut from their new record. Check it out below.

Die-hard fans have already shown up for the Blackpink ladies in the YouTube post's comments section to voice their excitement and appreciation for the new music. Here are a couple comment examples:

  • "BLACKPINK IS SO INCREDIBLE, THIS COMEBACK IS DEFINITELY AMAZING. THE VIDEO QUALITY, THEIR RAP, THEIR VOCALS, EVERYTHING IN THE MV IS TRULY ASTONISHING."
  • "I missed this situation when we're all hype and waiting for BLACKPINK's comeback, and this genre and style is something new I have never heard from BLACKPINK, this comeback is pure golden🔥"

There are already more than 189,300 comments on the post, by the way, which went live a matter of hours ago.

For the single, Blackpink enlisted a whole spread of songwriters — TEDDY, Diplo, 24, Zikai, Claudia Valentina, Jumpa, Malachiii and Jesse Bluu, Rolling Stone reports. The track was produced by Diplo, 24, Boaz Van De Beatz, Zecca and Ape Drums.

“Even amid the intense schedule of a large-scale world tour, the members devoted significant time and effort to perfecting this album," YG Entertainment, the group’s record label, said in a statement, per Rolling Stone. Fans can listen to Deadline in full here.

The members of Blackpink have certainly kept busy with their solo careers ever since releasing Born Pink. More recently, Lisa — whose real name is Lalisa Manoban — helped bring to life NikeSKIMS' “first head-to-toe system of dress” for the Spring 2026 collection.

For those not familiar, NikeSKIMS is a new activewear and performance‑wear brand created through a collaboration between Nike and SKIMS, the shapewear and apparel brand founded by Kim Kardashian in 2019. Check out Billboard's Instagram post last month showcasing Lisa, 28, donning the new collection.

'Bridgerton' Showrunner Addresses Daphne and Simon’s Season 4 Absence: 'They’re Hypothetically There'

Fri, 02/27/2026 - 9:40am

[WARNING! This article contains mild spoilers for Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2, now available for streaming on Netflix. Please do not read further if you do not intend to know what happens in Episodes 5-8.]

Bridgerton fans have had a longstanding issue with the lack of screentime of prior season characters, especially original stars Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page, who portrayed Daphne and Simon. As Season 4 once again didn't bring them back, showrunner Jess Brownell opens up on their creative reasoning and the idea of recasting.

Daphne and Simon were the first ever on-screen Bridgerton couple that started and cemented the Netflix series. Fans were dismayed to realize that the characters would end up not appearing as series regulars like the other cast members after their main seasons. Dynevor returned as her character in Season 2, but confirmed her absence for Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin's (Luke Newton) storyline.

It also became a topic of conversation when it was revealed that Page had signed a one-season deal with the Netflix series, with no real intention of returning. His character's absence was instead explained in Season 2 as Daphne returned to the estate.

In an interview with Variety, Bridgerton showrunner Jess Brownell was asked if the idea of recasting the two characters was ever approached. The interviewer also voiced fan disagreement over Daphne not being present during John's (Victor Alli) funeral and not being there for her younger sister. Brownell clears the air, saying a recasting would be a "disservice."

"We are not interested in recasting the characters. I think it would feel like a disservice to everything Regé and Phoebe set up in Season 1, and all the beautiful work they put into those characters," she said.

When it comes to their absence in Bridgerton Season 4, Brownell admits that it didn't make sense storyline-wise, and there wasn't enough for their return to become meaningful. She explains that, "logistically, we want to make sure we bring them back when we have something really meaty for them. And to have them come back to say a line at a funeral and just prove that they were there, it wouldn’t feel right for many reasons."

In the grand scope of the Bridgerton universe, she says that the camera doesn't capture everything, but they are "hypothetically there; it’s television." She, too, hopes to bring back all of the Bridgerton characters in the future for one of the siblings' main stories.

U.S. Snowboarder Chloe Kim Doesn't Want Her Man to Propose Wearing This Accessory

Fri, 02/27/2026 - 9:38am

U.S. Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim is clearing the air after a fake image made it look like her boyfriend, Myles Garrett, proposed to her at the 2026 Winter Olympics. And while the picture fooled some fans, and even a fellow Olympian, Kim says one detail made it very clear the photo was not real.

Her comment quickly became the highlight of the interview, as she laughed off the viral moment and urged fans not to believe everything they see online.

The 25-year-old snowboarder explained during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live that the AI-generated image showed Garrett down on one knee during the 2026 Winter Games in Italy. The photo spread fast on social media, with many people thinking the couple had gotten engaged.

Kim said she first learned about the fake proposal from fellow Olympian Lindsey Vonn, who texted her to say congratulations.

“I hope she doesn’t get mad at me for sharing this,” Kim said. “She texts me, she’s like, ‘Oh my gosh, congrats.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, thank you. But you already congratulated me for my medal.’ She’s like, ‘On the engagement.’ I’m like, ‘What?’”

After that, Kim searched her own name online and saw the edited image. Kim wasted no time pointing out the problems in the fake picture. First, she noticed she was already wearing a ring on her left hand in the image, even though the proposal was supposed to be happening in that exact moment.

That didn’t make sense to her.

Her mom also saw the picture and was not fooled. Kim shared that her mother told her, “You would never wear something like that,” referring to the outfit shown in the edited photo.

But it was Garrett’s sunglasses that really gave it away.

“Two, he’s wearing sunglasses,” Kim joked. “I don’t want my man to propose to me with sunglasses on.”

Even though the proposal photo was fake, Kim and Garrett have been open about their relationship. The two first appeared together publicly in May 2025 and later confirmed they were dating.

Garrett traveled to Italy to support Kim during the Winter Games. Instead of bringing an engagement ring, he brought a camera to document her Olympic journey. He was also seen wearing custom gear featuring Kim’s face, cheering her on from the stands.

At the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, Kim earned a silver medal in the women’s halfpipe. She competed while dealing with a shoulder injury that made training and competing much harder. Despite the pain and pressure, she finished on the podium once again, adding to her already impressive Olympic record.

For now, though, wedding bells are not ringing. Kim made it clear that if a proposal ever does happen, she has one simple request: no sunglasses.

The Genius Way Robin Williams Secured His Breakout Role on 'Happy Days'

Fri, 02/27/2026 - 9:37am

Like every major star in Hollywood, Robin Williams' immense success and popularity in the larger entertainment industry can be traced back to one key role. And in the case of the legendary late comedian, said role came with Williams' scene-stealing performance in the beloved sitcom, Happy Days.

Tapping into his famously zany comedic background, Williams' performance as the otherworldly alien Mork helped thrust the young actor into the public spotlight.

While it's hard to imagine anyone else inhabiting the role of the eccentric extraterrestrial visitor, one key moment early on in Williams' audition process ultimately helped land the actor his breakthrough role on the show.

When appearing on the Fake Doctors, Real Friends with Zach and Donald podcast, Happy Days Henry Winkler shared his memories of initially interacting with Robin Williams on the set of the show, as well as his experience witnessing the late actor audition for the role (via People magazine).

"A young, very shy, very quiet man comes with the casting director," Winkler said. "And then this human being picked up the script. When he opened his mouth, it was like a volcano went off on stage 19 at Paramount."

"And I knew, get out of his way, know my lines, and don't try to stand toe to toe with this genius that is now standing in front of me," the actor went on to say.

Of course, one notable improvised moment helped impress Happy Day's cast and crew above all else. As series creator Garry Marshall remembered in 1989, Winkler wound up standing on his head the minute he began his audition, taking Marshall and his fellow backstage staff by surprise.

"He did the whole audition standing on his head," Marshall said. "He was a whole different fresh view of a guy doing an outer-space alien."

"When Robin Williams came on as a Martian, he was all over the place and was improvising some, and they gave him room," Marshall similarly recalled. "At the end of the episode, 300 people in the audience stood up and applauded, which is not usually done. It didn’t take a genius to know he could do his own show, and we made one for him, Mork & Mindy."

Candiace Dillard-Bassett Responds to Angry 'The Traitors' Fans Defending Rob Rausch

Fri, 02/27/2026 - 9:25am

It's been clear since the middle of the season that Candiace Dillard-Bassett didn't like how Rob Rausch played the game in The Traitors Season 4. The original traitors didn't agree on whether to cut Lisa Rinna loose after multiple people suspected she was a traitor.

The reunion and finale aired on February 26. That meant the Real Housewives of Potomac star could confront the Love Island USA alum in person. Fans reacted to their interaction on social media.

Dillard-Bassett posted a slideshow of pictures of her shimmering outfit for the reunion on Instagram on February 26. "Driving back to the castle like I left something… oh right — some reunion shenanigans," she captioned the photo.

"You should have played the game like Rob did, queen," one fan commented. "Cheated?" the reality star replied. "Lol. I'm okay."

"It IS A GAME," another person wrote on the post. "And yet... Here you are... Mad that I'm playing..." she wrote.

Dillard-Bassett previously accused Rausch of being a "boy's boy" and therefore treated his female traitors like they were "disposable." Rausch denied this and claimed he was only focused on the game. She also publicly accused him of telling Colton Underwood, who was a traitor, which is against the rules.

Rausch addressed a viewer's claim that he gaslighted Dillard-Bassett and believed he did the same to women on Love Island USA. The viewer also defended Dillard-Bassett from those accusing her of being too emotional by reminding them Rausch had emotional moments on the dating show.

"Yeah I did freaking lose it on love island," he commented on the TikTok. "I wasn’t there playing a game. I had an extremely emotional response to a situation that felt like the end of the world at the time [because] let me tell you [Love Island] does something to your brain chemistry."

Rausch's relationships with men and women were an important part of his long run this season. Natalie Anderson suspected he was protecting her as a traitor because she trusted him. He also recruited Eric Nam as a traitor.

The finale and reunion of the season were released on Peacock on February 26. Needless to say, the real housewife confronted Rausch.

Iconic Fashion Brand Revives Disney Print Fans Haven't Seen in Decades

Fri, 02/27/2026 - 9:23am

Lilly Pulitzer fans and Disney lovers, hold on to your Mickey ears.

Just when spring break daydreams start creeping in, Lilly Pulitzer has decided to unlock the fashion time machine and gift us something wildly nostalgic: a Disney print straight from 1975.

Yes, 1975.

As in, bell bottoms, disco, and vintage magic.

The revived design, cheekily titled Throwback Disney, feels like it was plucked directly from a sunny, pastel-soaked dream. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse are front and center, surrounded by a burst of cheerful florals, kites, balloons, and that unmistakable retro charm that somehow never goes out of style. It’s bright, playful, and exactly the kind of print that makes you want to book a vacation immediately, even if your only destination is your backyard patio.

What makes this revival even sweeter is its backstory.

The print was inspired by an iconic Slim Aarons photograph of Lilly Pulitzer herself, capturing the breezy, colorful spirit that built the brand’s entire identity. Decades later, the pattern still feels effortlessly happy, which is kind of the whole point of Lilly Pulitzer (and Disney) in the first place.

Whether you're looking forward to warm-weather trips, resort plans, and simply on the eternal hunt for something fun to wear, this print practically screams "pack me." Whether you’re Disney-bound or simply craving something that channels sunshine and serotonin, the collection leans hard into feel-good fashion.

Lilly Pulitzer’s creative team has described the relaunch as something of a homecoming, which feels fitting for a design that already carries so much history. For longtime fans, it’s a blast from the past. For newer shoppers, it’s a chance to grab a piece of vintage-inspired Disney style that doesn’t feel costume-y or overdone.

Throwback Disney is available in stores and online, but not for long! Shop your favorites before they're gone.

Pierce Brosnan’s Artist Son Is a Dead Ringer for His Handsome Father

Fri, 02/27/2026 - 9:21am

Actor Pierce Brosnan's son, artist Paris Brosnan, is a dead ringer for his father.

The beloved Irish actor, 72, who has tackled diverse roles in films ranging from Mrs. Doubtfire to James Bond flicks like Tomorrow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough, appeared alongside his son, Paris, at the UK debut of his new art collection, "Collective Energy," at Clarendon Fine Art this week in London. Pictured alongside each other, there's no doubt that the dynamic duo is related. With sharp jawlines and handsome smirks, it's safe to say that Paris is a chip off the old block.

Paris told HELLO! he never intended on making art his career.

"It was a way to get something out that I didn't have language for," he told the publication. "I'd go through periods where things felt really heavy internally, and painting was how I processed that weight. I never planned to turn it into a career."

Brosnan's Secret to a Great Head of Hair

As for the artist's handsome father, Pierce had a delightful answer when asked by Page Six why Irishmen seem to have such good heads of hair.

“It’s all in the hair, the old Celtic hair,” he explained, saying that his father, “Dear Tom…had good hair. I have no idea. Maybe it’s in the potatoes, or the butter, or the Guinness.”

When told he’s aging like a fine wine, Brosnan said, “I’m doing my best!”

Brosnan recently starred opposite Ben Kingsley and Helen Mirren in The Thursday Murder Club, a Netflix murder mystery based on the popular book by Richard Osman. His character is a bit of a departure from some of his most famous roles.

“I’ve done rough-around-the-edges before,” said Brosnan, who knows a thing or two about being slick, as any 007 fan is well aware. “So entrenched in the world of the sophisticated man and Mr. Slick and Mr. Elegance, you know, sometimes you paint yourself into a corner with your own…you get hoisted by your own canard so to speak! It’s paid the rent over the years and given me the great joy of having the career that I’ve got.”

When it was suggested that he might be in the midst of a renaissance thanks to his role in MobLand, Brosnan said he wouldn’t fight the idea as he navigates his seventies.

“If not now, when? The click is ticking,” he smiled.

By the time she sat down with Reese, Flo Milli was glowing in a new chapter of her life.

During the episode, Flo Milli opened up about knowing she wanted to be an artist since she was a child. She shared how her passion for music started early and never faded. She also offered simple but strong advice for up-and-coming artists.

Reese listened closely, often nodding and reacting with excitement. For Reese, supporting other women, especially Black women in sports and music, has become part of her brand.

Reese has been busy beyond her podcast. The WNBA star recently returned to Rose Basketball Club in Unrivaled, where she helped her team clinch a playoff berth. Though she came off the bench in a recent game, she still posted solid numbers, showing her all-around impact.
