General Mills has issued a voluntary recall over concerns that some of its products may contain a foreign material—in this instance, glass.

According to a notice posted on the FDA's website, the recall includes more than 3,000 cases of Pillsbury Bread Rolls "Hard Roll Dough," each containing 180 rolls, for a total of 554,400 rolls, and 1,260 cases of Pillsbury Bread Rolls "Kaiser Roll Dough," each containing 144 rolls, for a total of 181,440 rolls. The potentially affected products have UPC numbers of 721582-13283 4 and 7 21582-13288 9 on the packages. The affected cases have UPC numbers of 107-21582-13283-1 or 107-21582-13288-6.

The products have been distributed in the following states: Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming.

It's unclear if these specific Pillsbury bread rolls are sold in stores or are only available to order. On the General Mills website, the company appears to sell these varieties by the case and references "back of house," suggesting they are popular items for restaurants to carry.

"Our bread rolls are designed to be highly tolerant to any BOH operation without the use of a proof box," reads the product's description. "Our manufacturing processes enable us to deliver product that is consistent in size and shape every time. Create a wide variety of product adaptations with our bread. Products can be cut, topped, or shaped to suit your specific operation and consumer needs."

Companies who have purchased these rolls with matching UPC numbers should not eat, serve, or donate the products. The rolls should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement.

Nearly five decades after beginning his career, Tommy Thayer is proving he's still eager to explore new musical territory.

The longtime Kiss guitarist has announced the formation of Shogun Mojo, a new rock band featuring Dan Reed Network frontman Dan Reed, Swedish bassist Bengan Jonasson and drummer Robert Mehmet Ikiz. The group has signed with Frontiers Music Srl and is preparing to release its debut album, which blends rock, funk and fusion influences.

"I'm incredibly excited to be joining forces with Frontiers Music for the release of the new Shogun Mojo album," Thayer said in an Instagram post. "Collaborating with my dear friend Dan Reed on this project has been an inspiring and rewarding experience from start to finish. We set out to create something that was both powerful and unique, a dynamic blend of rock & roll, funk, and fusion, and I truly believe we've achieved that."

Thayer shared enthusiasm about not only the record, but the new partnership with the band's label.

"I'm extremely proud of this record and can't wait for all our fans to hear it," he continued. "Frontiers has been a fantastic partner, and I'm looking forward to sharing this exciting new chapter with music lovers around the world."

"When Tommy and I started spending more time together composing songs, it became apparent there was something brewing we just might have to release to the world. The as-yet-untitled album was co-produced and engineered by Geoff Tyson, a protégé of Joe Satriani, and mixed by Rob Daiker. According to the band, the record is a "rocking, funk fuelled, celebration of life on an ever-growing dystopian world."

Thayer's career stretches back to 1978, when he co-founded the hard rock band Black 'N Blue. He later joined KISS as lead guitarist in 2002, replacing Ace Frehley, and spent more than two decades with the legendary rock group before the band’s farewell tour concluded in 2023. During his tenure, he helped record Sonic Boom and Monster while performing thousands of concerts around the world.

Now, 48 years after beginning his professional career, Thayer is embarking on another creative venture. With Shogun Mojo, the veteran guitarist is stepping into a fresh musical landscape while continuing the career that has made him one of hard rock’s most recognizable performers.

"His whole life was a million-to-one shot." Wait, are we talking about Rocky Balboa... or the man who brought him to life?

It's actually the tagline of an upcoming movie called I Play Rocky, whose official trailer dropped on Wednesday, July 15. Since the narrative film is "making-of" tale, taking place in the 1970s when the original Rocky film was made, the actual Sylvester Stallone is nowhere to be found.

"I Play Rocky, based on the incredible true story, starring Anthony Ippolito - only in theaters this November," reads the caption of the recent YouTube upload by Amazon MGM Studios. Check out the clip below.

While some seemed a bit thrown off, judging by the comments, most fans acted like they were thrilled at the trailer and excited for the finished film. "It’s been about 15 years since a movie trailer gave me chills like this one just did," one YouTube user commented on Thursday, July 16, while another person wrote, "Really excited for this People might troll this movie But I am genuinely rooting for this."

Here's the synopsis offered by the studio: "The film is an electrifying true story about an unknown actor with an unshakable belief that he wasn’t just meant to write Rocky—he was meant to be Rocky Balboa. Told “no” at every turn, Sylvester Stallone bets everything on himself, holding the line on playing the lead against seemingly impossible odds. The result is the ultimate underdog story behind the ultimate underdog movie."

Speaking of Sly, the Hollywood legend turned 80 earlier this month, and Parade noted that he and Harrison Ford are the only actors to appear in a No. 1 box office film across six consecutive decades. For Stallone, that remarkable run stretches from Rocky in the 1970s through The Suicide Squad in the 2020s, underscoring a career that has remained relevant for more than half a century.

Any music artists would be lucky to have eras in their career, let alone multiple iconic ones. Madonna continues to make music four decades after her debut. But which one is the best? A new list ranked her eras.

The Madonna Album Credited With Changing Music

MsMojo made a list ranking Madonna's eras. "The Earth Mother" era from 1998 to 2000 was ranked number one.

"This was the era when she married filmmaker Guy Ritchie thus beginning her notorious British phase, accent, and all," said the MsMojo narrator. Many made fun of the American star for this, but what they couldn't deny was her music.

"Most importantly though, this era of deeper spirituality pushed her further into electronic music and it generated some of the best work of her career," continued the narrator. Madonna was studying Kabbalah, which falls under the Judaism faith.

"It's a channel to draw light and healing and opening our heart in a such deeper level beyond logic," the pop star's teacher, Eitan Yardeni explained in a 2025 video, advertising his master classes. She talked about channeling something bigger than herself when she wrote music.

The seventh studio album is credited with changing pop and bringing electronica to the global stage. It's no wonder that its often included in lists of the best albums of all time.

What Are Madonna's Music Eras?

The video breaks down the icon's eras by the genres and themes she explored. No. 10 is her EDM era from 2008 to 2015 with the release of albums Hard Candy, MDNA, and Rebel Heart.

Her 2019 release of Madame X is set as its own era. Portugal's influence is evident in the Latin sound. In 1982, she was in her Club Kid era, which fits the sound of the iconic decade.

One of her eras doesn't involve music. Madonna focused on becoming a movie star in the '90s. It had mixed success, and her best work was in ensemble vehicle, A League of Their Own.

No. 6 on the list is one of the most beloved times of her career. "Video Star" is the Like a Virgin era. "Material Girl" instantly transports people to the '80s and that's why it was used in countless movies.

"The Queen of Pop" is equally synonymous with Madonna and is No. 3. "Papa Don't Preach" from True Blue was released during this time. This was also when she was married to Sean Penn, which ended in divorce in 1989.

Her "Disco Queen" era was 2001 to 2007 with American Life and Confessions on a Dance Floor. She focused on getting people to dance and addressed the invasion of Iraq. "Hung Up" reached No. 1 around the world.

"The Provocateur" is No. 2, which unsurprisingly includes Like A Prayer. She angered people with the religious depictions in her music videos and her sex book.

The current era 2020 was dubbed the "Grand Dame" in the video. Her newest release Confessions II revisits EDM, disco and dance. It's also critically acclaimed, which might give it a higher ranking on future lists.

Robert Wagner is honoring his late wife, Natalie Wood, on what would have been the couple's wedding anniversary,

Wagner, 96, who starred in early series like It Takes a Thief and Switch, continued on TV in Hart to Hart before appearing more recently on Two and a Half Men and NCIS. He also had a successful film career, with roles in the Austin Powers trilogy and several other popular films. He’s also widely known as the former husband of beloved actress Natalie Wood, who died at age 43 in 1981.

In a new Instagram post, Wagner shared a throwback photo of himself and Wood kissing at their second wedding in 1972. (The couple was previously married from 1957 to 1962.)

Wood died on a boat trip to California’s Catalina Island. Her death was initially ruled an “accidental drowning,” PEOPLE shared. In a press conference, L.A. coroner Dr. Thomas Noguchi concluded that after accidentally falling into the water, Wood had attempted to board a dinghy, Vanity Fair reported. This is based on fingernail scratch marks on the inflatable boat’s side. Noguchi shared that he believed Wood had clung onto its side, but was weighed down by the heavy parka she was wearing, and couldn’t pull herself up from the water.

While some assumed Wagner was involved, Wood’s daughter, Natasha Gregson Wagner, shared in her 2020 documentary, Natalie Wood: What Remains Behind, why she believes Wagner wasn’t involved in her mother’s death.

“It’s outrageous and completely unacceptable that others have created this narrative about my dad and the night my mom died,” Natasha said, PEOPLE reported. “I know that if my mom had been in any kind of distress, he would have given his life for her. I know that as well as I know my name.”

Ann Wilson, the beloved frontwoman of the iconic '70s rock band Heart, has announced new dates for her 2026 world tour, bringing her backing band all the way to Japan. The exciting news was shared on Tuesday via Instagram, sparking massive enthusiasm among Japanese fans.

Wilson first announced her massive solo trek on May 5, and it is slated to visit over 20 cities across the U.S., Canada, and now Japan. The tour commences on September 10 in Clearwater, Florida, and will conclude on November 20 in Yokohama, Japan. Supporting the rock icon is her backing band, Tripsitter, who have been her core creative collaborators since 2023.

The solo run will support Wilson and Tripsitter's debut album, Another Door, which was released on September 29, 2023. Monica Lewinsky is looking back on her controversial past.

The former White House intern, 52, who lived through one of the biggest scandals in American history when she became involved with President Bill Clinton, is currently the host of a podcast called Reclaiming with Monica Lewinsky. She’s also gone on to become a successful anti-bullying advocate. But in a new episode of her acclaimed podcast, Lewinsky sat down with Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler and reflected that accepting the issues of her past was key to moving forward and finding a happy future.

"It's such a big part of reclaiming, actually. You really can't move through all the steps until you've had acceptance," she said. "A lot of my progress during my dark decade really came about from integration and being able to integrate like, 'OK, I couldn't leave Monica Lewinsky the White House intern in the past,' like I had to find a way to not be ashamed and bring her with me, all the things. And so you can't integrate until you've accepted."

She went on to say that "so much work" went into facing her past and allowing that person to be part of her present self.

"It's hard enough out there. How do I make it not so hard in here?" she reflected.

Looking Back on Her Twenties

On her podcast, Lewinsky previously spoke about what led her to make “bad decisions” in her twenties. She shared that a desire to feel “special” sometimes led her to do things she regretted, and that sometimes got her in trouble.

“I think in some ways that’s part of what got me in a lot of trouble in my early 20s of looking for and wanting to be special and feeling that feeling of specialness, of validation,” she said during an episode that featured Laura Day, an American writer and author of several self-help books, focusing on intuition, Fox News shared. “And when it came, I fell into that, making bad decisions a lot of times, not just in D.C., but a lot of different ways.”

Post Malone will headline the closing ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2026, confirming that the country-rock superstar will take center stage before the tournament's final match on Sunday.

On Instagram, FIFA shared the announcement with fans worldwide, writing: "The biggest FIFA World Cup in history deserves the biggest send-off.”

The performance is scheduled to begin at 1:30 P.M. at New York New Jersey Stadium, 90 minutes before Spain and Argentina meet in the men's World Cup final. Kickoff for the championship match is set for 3:00 P.M.

FIFA described the performance as a "landmark performance" designed to celebrate the end of the tournament and build excitement ahead of one of football's biggest matches.

Post Malone joins an extensive entertainment lineup assembled for the final day of the tournament.

Singer Nicole Scherzinger, FIFA Music Ambassador Robbie Williams and Italian star Laura Pausini are all set to appear during the pre-match festivities. Hollywood actor Tom Cruise will also make a special appearance during the event after previously participating in the Closing Ceremony of the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

Jennifer Hudson will perform the national anthem before kickoff. The Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award winner is scheduled to sing shortly before Spain and Argentina take the field.

Sports influencer and streamer IShowSpeed is also expected to participate in the celebrations surrounding the final.

The closing ceremony was produced in creative partnership with Balich Wonder Studio and is intended to combine global entertainment with football on one stage for viewers around the world.

Fans attending the final have been encouraged to arrive early to experience the full pre-match program. Stadium gates are scheduled to open at 11:00 A.M, allowing supporters to take part in entertainment activities and fan experiences before the ceremony begins.

Historic World Cup Final Features First-Ever Halftime Show

The 2026 FIFA World Cup final will also introduce another first for the men's tournament: a halftime show.

Madonna, Shakira, Justin Bieber and BTS will co-headline the 11-minute performance during halftime of the final. Burna Boy and conductor Gustavo Dudamel are also part of the lineup, while Coldplay is expected to perform alongside the PS22 Chorus and the Sesame Street Muppets.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is curating the performances and will be broadcast live to audiences around the world.

The halftime concert will raise money for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to expand access to education and sports opportunities for children worldwide.

Shakira and Burna Boy have already contributed to the tournament's musical identity through "Dai Dai," the official FIFA World Cup anthem. The song became Spotify's most-streamed track globally and topped the Billboard Global Chart.

Released in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, the song combines Latin pop sounds with Nigerian afrobeat influences.

Kai Trump doesn’t want to follow in her famous family’s footsteps. President Donald Trump’s granddaughter (the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump) recently talked politics on the 2026 ESPYs red carpet, and she has a pretty strong stance on her future.

While speaking with Sportico, Kai revealed, “Honestly, I kind of stay out of politics completely. It’s just not my thing.”

So what is her ‘thing’? Trump continued, “I just like showing my life and showing how you can still be an athlete, and you can still do a ton of other things. So I just kind of like just showing people that everything’s possible. Um, and I love just showing the new generation, like my kind of, like my progress, I guess, through college eventually. But obviously how I got to where I am today.” 

Trump (Kai, that is) is a soon-to-be college freshman at the University of Miami. The talented teen will play golf on the Division I school’s team. She also hosts her own vlog (which currently has a whopping 1.51 million subscribers on YouTube). 

How did fans react to Kai Trump’s red carpet political statement?

Nothing the Trump family does is without controversy. And this red carpet moment is no exception. Fans were divided, with some applauding the 19-year-old in the comments section on Sportico’s post of the interview clip: “Such a well-spoken young woman,” and “Keep it up, Kai. You’re great.” But the thoughts didn’t end there.

Cue the critics. Other comments weren’t exactly glowing. Some took issue with Kai’s statement that politics aren’t her thing, pointing out, “Staying out of politics, but has a photo shoot at a political house,” while others took the nepo baby angle, adding, “Anything is possible? Honey your grandpapper is a billionaire and the president”, “Yeah it’s called being born into an insane level of wealth. It doesn’t matter what choices you make you’ll always be rich,” and “How I got where I am today. Ah yes, a gal who fought the odds and won.” 

One commenter did seem to stand up for Kai, clapping back against her critics with, “So many stunning and brave commenters being negative about a young person trying to do something that harms no one and entertains.”

Of course, over on Kai’s Instagram page, the comments were very different. Now, yet another name has been added to the list of attendees, and not only is she a superstar in her own right, but also, she reportedly performed one of her most beloved songs of all time at the wedding. According to Entertainment Weekly, '00s music icon Avril Lavigne performed none other than her 2002 pop-punk anthem "Sk8r Boi," joining the ranks of music legends like Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks, who reportedly also performed throughout the evening.

Kids of the '90s and early '00s will need no reminders when it comes to the lyrics of "Sk8r Boi," and even younger music lovers may not need a refresher, as a bit of scrolling on TikTok will quickly prove that "He was a skater boy. She said, 'See you later, boy'" has never really gone out of style.

It's unlikely that fans will ever get to see a video of this performance, as the secrecy surrounding the wedding is seemingly here to stay, but it is nevertheless amazing to know that this fan-favorite song apparently made an appearance at Swift's wedding.

Derek Redmond is now a retired sprinter with multiple accolades to his name, but at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, his story became one that fans shed a tear for. Over 20 years later, the heroic feat of finishing his semi-final run with the help of his father due to a devastating injury still tugs at the heart and became a part of Olympic history.

By the time the Olympics in Barcelona came around, Redmond was a favorite to take home gold in the 400m contest. His incredible track record proved he was ready to go all the way, having his best time set at 44.50 seconds in the 400m, which was a British record at the time. He won gold in the 4×400m relay at the 1991 World Championships and at the 1986 European Championships.

The only worry was that Redmond had already undergone five operations by 1992 and had recently undergone another surgery for his Achilles tendon only four months before the Games. He had initially pulled out of the 1988 Olympic Games due to the same injury.

Despite that, everything was coming together for the sprinter, and he recorded his fastest time during the first round. He also won his quarterfinal heat, which landed him in the semi-finals. Redmond was off to a good start until tragedy struck at the back straight about 250 metres from the finish.

An Olympic athlete's worst nightmare came true for Redmond when he tore his hamstring and fell to the ground. He stunned onlookers when he decided to continue the race after seeing a crew with stretchers coming towards him. Despite the pain from the injury, Redmond got up and began to hobble the rest of the track.

“I got up quicker than I got out of my blocks,” he said, according to The Guardian. “I said to myself: ‘There’s no way I’m going to be stretchered out of these Olympics.’ I didn’t know where I was. I really, really believed I could still qualify.”

What caught the attention of onlookers and fans worldwide was the heartfelt moment that occurred seconds later. His father, Jim Redmond, jumped from the stands and bypassed Olympic security to enter the track to get to his son. While a sobbing Redmond initially refused his father's help, the two made their way to the finish line hand-in-hand. Jim let go of his son moments before the finish to allow him to cross on his own. While their actions led to Redmond's disqualification from the Games, they got a standing ovation from a crowd of 65,000.

“Even now, it’s hard to say how or why I did it,” said Jim. “It was a spontaneous reaction, as if I had seen him hit by a car. I certainly didn’t run down to help him finish – if anything, it was to stop him. I could accept the fact that my son was injured, but not that he was going to carry on in pain, causing himself even greater damage.”

Fans saw the moment as one of grit and determination, as well as a father's love for his son. The event became the subject of one of the International Olympic Committee's "Celebrate Humanity" videos, which proclaimed: "Strength is measured in pounds. Speed is measured in seconds. Courage? You can't measure courage".

Due to his injuries, Redmond decided to focus on new chapters of his career and played professional basketball for the Birmingham Bullets and the England national team. He would also become a motivational speaker. Jimc carried the Olympic torch in 2012 and died years later in 2022.

Kenny Chesney is back on the Billboard Hot 100 in an unexpected return that comes 12 years after one of his biggest hits first dominated country radio.

The country superstar's 2014 single "American Kids" has re-entered the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 at No. 46, marking its first appearance on the chart since its original run more than a decade ago. The renewed momentum follows a surge in streams and social media activity tied to July 4 celebrations across the United States.

The song's return arrives during another strong year for country music and gives Chesney another major chart moment after decades as one of the genre's biggest names.

Originally released in June 2014 as the lead single from The Big Revival, "American Kids" became one of the defining songs of that summer. The track eventually climbed to No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100, reached No. 1 on Country Airplay and peaked at No. 2 on Hot Country Songs.

Now, 12 years later, it is finding a new audience while reconnecting longtime fans with one of Chesney's signature songs.

The resurgence also comes as the singer prepares for a major new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, where the colorful school bus featured in the "American Kids" music video will be displayed for fans later this month.

The return of "American Kids" mirrors a broader trend of older country hits finding fresh success through streaming services and social media platforms.

Billboard's latest chart shows both Chesney and Zac Brown Band returning to the Hot 100 after Independence Day celebrations helped drive listeners back to songs closely connected with American summers and small-town memories.

For Chesney, the comeback is especially notable because "American Kids" arrived during a major turning point in his career.

The song introduced The Big Revival, an album that followed a rare year away from touring as Chesney focused on creating a project that felt different from his previous releases.

Speaking about the record in 2015, according to CBS News, Chesney explained why he stepped away from the road.

"It would have been very easy for us to make this record on a conveyor belt, because I've been guilty of that before. But I felt like I was at a place in my life where I deserve more and [the fans] deserve more."

He added: "It was worth really digging into what I wanted the record to be and to see how I was going to take my audience to a place that maybe collectively we haven't been before."

That search led him to "American Kids," written by Rodney Clawson, Luke Laird and Shane McAnally.

Chesney immediately knew the song stood apart from many others arriving in Nashville at the time.

"'American Kids' was that one thing that I was looking for that was different," Chesney said.

"There' s not that many of those songs around. We're an industry of chasers and copycats, we really are. That's just the way it is. And when you hear something completely different… I knew when I heard that song, that I was going to record it."

The song focused on growing up in small towns, chasing dreams and learning who you are.

The music video became another memorable part of the release. Directed by Shaun Silva, it featured Chesney performing with a group of young people aboard a brightly painted school bus.

The bus later became closely tied to the song and the album itself.

"That 'American Kids' bus, we painted it," Chesney said. "That was the best therapy I've had all year, painting that bus."

Fans will soon have the chance to see that same bus in person as part of the upcoming "Kenny Chesney: Living in Fast Forward" exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

The exhibit opens July 23, 2026, and will trace Chesney's journey from performing in his university bluegrass band to becoming one of the highest-grossing touring artists in country music history.

As "American Kids" climbs the charts once again, the song is proving that some summer anthems never completely disappear.

Sometimes they simply wait for a new generation to press play.

Erling Haaland may have leftTom Holland on read—but it looks like the two are finally getting that dinner after all.

Just days after the Spider-Man star admitted on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that his attempt to befriend the Norwegian soccer sensation had gone unanswered, Haaland chimed in with a response of his own.

According to the internet, Haaland isn't an avid movie watcher and reportedly didn't know who Holland was.

Whether the pair actually end up sharing a meal remains to be seen, but at least the invitation is no longer sitting unanswered.

A man was arrested after breaking into the Today Show’s studio in New York City on Thursday, July 16, TMZ reports.

He confronted Craig Melvin, lunging at him. The man was also said to be asking for Al Roker, with law enforcement sources telling the outlet that he managed to get past security. When he couldn't find Roker, he turned his attention to Craig and yelled racial slurs at the co-host.

The incident occurred around 9 a.m. ET, with the man being described as "white and was unarmed." He "entered a stairwell and made his way backstage -- we're told near the dressing room, though where exactly is unclear."

The incident did not occur during the broadcast, and nobody was injured. A photo obtained by TMZ showed Melvin, Roker, and co-host Dylan Dreyer looking shaken as they talked following the incident. But they were back on air 15 minutes later.

"We're told the incident has staff demanding answers about how an unauthorized stranger managed to trail one of the show’s biggest stars off the publicly accessible plaza and get so deep inside the building undetected," TMZ added.

The NYPD released a statement regarding the situation, saying that "it was reported to officers that there was a disorderly person inside 30 Rockefeller Center, within the confines of the Midtown North Precinct. Officers responded and placed an unidentified individual into custody. There were no injuries reported. The investigation remains ongoing," per PEOPLE.

This comes on the same day host Savannah Guthrie revealed she will be temporarily stepping away from the show to film something news.

“We’re about to do it. Guys, I’m headed over to shoot Wordle over the next few weeks,” Guthrie said. “We’re going to shoot the whole season and we’re super excited.”

“I can’t wait for everyone to see it. It’ll probably air, I think, in the new year," she added.

Legendary rock band Echo & the Bunnymen have announced its upcoming 13th studio album, Apples For Isaac.

The band's first record in 12 years, Apples For Isaac, is set for release on Sept. 18 and will feature 11 new tracks. Its haunting lead single, "Brussels Is Haunted," was released on July 16 along with an accompanying music video.

Produced by singer Ian McCulloch, Apples For Isaac will feature instrumentals from the late Blondie drummer Clem Burke on ten out of 11 of the tracks, with the band noting that Burke was a key part of the new record.

A statement read: "The mighty, legendary Clem Burke — longtime friend of Mac — was integral to the making of the album, and heartbreakingly passed away during its completion… love you Clem X".

Ahead of the album's release, the band will play a handful of shows across the U.K. and Europe, including some free shows in Northern Spain. During release week, the band will be headlining two shows at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre in London on Sept. 22 and 23.

In June, the band was forced to postpone a concert at the iconic Fillmore Philadelphia after McCulloch was involved in a road traffic accident.

“As a result, Ian required medical treatment,” an Instagram post read. “Thankfully, the injuries sustained are not believed to be serious; however, as you can appreciate, he has been left understandably shaken by the incident. As a precautionary measure, Ian is undergoing further medical assessment, including scans and X-rays.”

Formed in Liverpool in 1978, Echo & the Bunnymen found fame with the release of their 1980 debut album Crocodiles. In 1983, the band saw mainstream success with "The Cutter," which peaked at No. 8 on the U.K. Official Singles Chart. A few years later, in 1987, the rockers broke international waters and became a household name with the release of "Lips Like Sugar, which reached No. 36 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart.

Trends shift all the time and the perfume options are vast. Not to mention summer has its own specific demands for perfume: heat amplifies fragrance, humidity changes how notes wear and the last thing anyone wants is a perfume that feels oppressive when it's 90 degrees outside.

To understand this summer's fragrance trends, including what bottles are worth trying and what may fit your personal taste, we spoke with Kershen Teo, founder and perfumer at Prosody London, a botanical fragrance house known for working exclusively with 100% natural ingredients.

Teo considers a client's specific needs, and often works with customers who may want to shift away from mainstream designer scents. His perspective on what's trending right now goes beyond the obvious picks. "The throughline this summer is a move away from performance and toward presence," he says. "People want to be asked what they're wearing, not told."

We also chatted with fragrance expert Olivia VanDerMillen, a.k.a Olivia Olfactory on Instagram with over 615k followers, to get a couple of her favorite fragrances that fall under the seven most popular fragrance trends of summer 2026.

How To Make Your Summer Perfume Last Longer

Getting the trend right is only half the equation—keeping it on your skin in summer heat is the other.

"Moisturised skin holds fragrance significantly longer than dry skin, and in summer heat, skin dries out faster than people realise," Teo says.

His advice is to apply an unscented, oil-free moisturiser to pulse points before spraying, then reapply lightly at the collarbone or wrists mid-afternoon rather than saturating yourself in the morning.

Here's what fragrance experts say are the biggest scent trends of the summer.

1. Aquatic and atmospheric scents

Aquatic scents are a top trend of the moment. But what exactly is an "aquatic scent"?

Aquatic fragrances are built around notes that evoke water: sea spray, ocean air, rain on warm pavement or the mineral coolness of a mountain stream. They tend to be fresh and clean without being citrusy, with a slightly abstract quality that's hard to pin down, but immediately recognizable.

"There's now a well-established field of research on what scientists call 'blue space,' there's genuine, measurable evidence that proximity to water lowers stress and restores mental fatigue in a way green spaces don't quite replicate," Teo tells Parade. "When a fragrance evokes open water, it's not offering literal coolness, it's tapping into a real, well-documented psychological association between water and restoration."

The category has also evolved well beyond the clean marine scents of the 1990s. Atmospheric notes like moss and minerals are showing up alongside or in place of traditional aquatic notes, giving these fragrances more texture and depth than their predecessors.

This is VanDerMillen's pick for best aquatic at the moment. It "smells like sea foam rolling over the rocky shoreline during a midnight thunderstorm. Briny yet fresh with lime and eucalyptus," she says.

This is Teo's own aquatic creation, which is "cool, with a neroli lift and myrrh depth," he explains.

2. Skin musks that are quiet and personal

The skin-scent category isn't new, but it's gaining popularity this summer. "The move toward skin scents is built on natural skin musk rather than synthetic projection," Teo says.

"I don't think this is a passing seasonal trend—it's a genuine, permanent recalibration of what people want fragrance to do for them, and ambrette seed is quietly at the centre of that shift—it's one of the only botanical materials capable of the close, low-projection warmth people are increasingly asking for," he adds.

Teo chooses Fleur de Peau by Diptyque, one of the most acclaimed skin musks in modern perfumery. It features "ambrette alongside iris and pink peppercorn to build exactly this kind of intimate, skin-close musk," he says.

"My own Carissis takes a different route to the same idea—a lavender and ambrette seed skin scent that replaces the role synthetic musks usually play, staying close to the body rather than projecting outward," he adds.

"My favorite 'your skin but better' scent will always be Another 13 by Le Labo," VanDerMillen says. "I often describe it as smelling like the pheromones of the person you’re most attracted to, like they somehow captured the essence of your lover in a bottle."

3. Summer gourmands that are lighter than you'd expect

Gourmand fragrances have traditionally been fall and winter territory, but the category is making a convincing case for summer, with one distinction.

"Most gourmand fragrances lean on vanilla, and while I'm not against vanilla in summer outright, it often ends up feeling too heavy for the heat," Teo says.

"The right balance for a summer gourmand is closer to what Creed does with Virgin Island Water—coconut, lime and sugar cane, with no vanilla in the formula at all," Teo says. "That's exactly why it reads as tropical and fresh rather than as a dessert."

Vanilla can still work in the summer when handled with restraint. Teo points to Illúsio by Parfums de Luxe as a good example, explaining, "Summer gourmand succeeds when it feels like something you'd eat on a beach, not something you'd eat by a fire."

4. Unexpected botanicals

Pistachio, wasabi, shiso leaf, mate—the notes gaining traction this summer are not the predictable fruit basket.

"What people are responding to is a genuine appetite for fragrance that surprises rather than confirms," Teo tells Parade. "They want to smell something and think, 'Wait, what is that?' rather than immediately clock it as vanilla or rose."

Meanwhile, indie houses have been ahead of the curve for years: DSH Perfumes' Wasabi Shiso is built around real wasabi and shiso leaf alongside yuzu and green tea.

"It has a devoted following," Teo says.

5. Body mists and hair perfumes as layering tools

Teo recommends using a light hair mist alongside a skin-close eau de parfum (EDP) instead of just one—treating them as layering tools rather than replacements.

"Hair actually holds top notes better and longer than skin does, which in summer heat is often more pleasant than a strong EDP reapplied to already-warm skin," he says.

The pull toward citrus in summer isn't just habit. "A controlled study found that citrus aromas specifically produce measurable relaxation-related brain activity," Teo explains.

"What's really happening with citrus is decades of sensory conditioning—we've spent our whole lives associating it with cold drinks, clean laundry and the first warm day of the year," he adds.

Teo says a return to simplicity is one of the best trends of the summer. Rather than complex, multi-layered compositions built for projection, these fragrances strip back to one or two notes and let them do all the work: green tea, mint, lavender, a single botanical executed with real precision.
