'SNL' Under Fire For "Mocking" Tourette's Sketch After BAFTAs Controversy
Saturday Night Live has caused a stir and backlash after its recent episode, hosted by Heated Rivalry's Connor Storrie, reportedly mocked the recent BAFTA incident involving a man with Tourette's syndrome. A charity, comedians, and actors have come out to chastise the sketch for being insensitive.
On Feb. 22 at the 2026 BAFTAs, Scottish campaigner John Davidson, who has Tourette’s syndrome, had unwillingly hurled a racial slur as Michael B. Jordon and Delroy Lindo presented an award on stage. The incident, caught on camera, caused controversy online, with Davidson stating he was "upset" and "distraught" over not having control over the involuntary tic.
While Davidson apologized for the incident, and many advocated for the campaigner, SNL used it as the basis for a comedic sketch. The running gag of the sketch involved the cast dressed as controversial celebrities like Mel Gibson, J.K. Rowling, Bill Cosby, Kanye West, and Armie Hammer blaming their behavior on Tourette's.
"Tourette’s isn’t just blurting out an offensive word. It can be a years-long obsession with something like trans life and a deep anger that someone who was born with a wand in their pants would want that one removed and replaced with a Horcrux," said SNL member Ashley Padilla dressed as the Harry Potter author.
The sketch also had Kenan Thompson portray Cosby and say he suffers from "something called the drink Tourette’s" in relation to his multiple accusations of sexual assault. Storrie appeared in the sketch portraying Hammer, who stepped away from Hollywood following previous allegations of cannibalism.

Tourette’s syndrome charity, Tourettes Action, stated Deadline about the sketch being "unacceptable" for "mocking a disability".
“Mocking a disability is never acceptable. It would not be tolerated for any other condition, and it should not be tolerated by people with Tourette’s," said CEO Emma McNally.
"Tourette’s is a complex neurological condition, of which there is no cure. It is not a joke. It is not a personality trait. It is not a source of entertainment. It is a condition that can be extremely debilitating, causing pain isolation and huge amounts of discrimination."
She goes on to say that any video that deliberately "misrepresents or sensationalise tics set us back years." Since the BAFTAs incident, she also adds that members of their community have been trolled, "harassed", and "targeted with threats and humiliation" for having a condition they didn't choose.
The charity was not alone in their response, with James Dreyfus, who plays Lord Gormon Massey in HBO’s House of the Dragon, commenting, "Good grief. Only goes to show that ‘regime comedians’ are as desperately unamusing, cringeworthy, pig- ignorant & prejudiced as they are over here."
British comedian Al Murray has also commented in the "disgusting" sketch, with Piers Morgan having spoken out in Davidson's defense after actor Deon Cole mocked the advocate during the 2026 NAACP Awards.
Savannah Chrisley Debuts New Boyfriend in Post Quoting Charlie Kirk
Savannah Chrisley just teased a new boyfriend in a post quoting the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
On Sunday, March 1, the Chrisley Know Best star—and daughter of Todd and Julie Chrisley—took to Instagram with a photo and a quote that turned heads.
"I’ve spent a lot of my life being the strong one… the protector, the 'alpha' because I had to be," Savannah, 28, began her update. "But a good man doesn’t compete with a strong woman. He honors her, protects her, and gives her the safety to be soft.
She added, "The culture told us softness was weakness. It’s not. Softness is what happens when a woman no longer has to live in survival mode. There is nothing more powerful than a strong man and a feminine woman building a life together…faith, family, and a future that outlives them both."
To conclude the post, Savannah shared, "In the wise words of Charlie Kirk: Get married. Have kids. Build strong families," also declaring, "Being a soft woman is HOT because it means you’re safe, you’re loved, and you chose well. #charliekirk." (Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, died at 31 after he was shot while speaking at Utah Valley University in September.)
View this post on InstagramIn the accompanying photo, a mirror selfie, Savannah posed while standing next to a man, whose head was visible in the frame. His hand rested on hers as she snapped the pic, with Randy Travis' track, "Forever and Ever, Amen" playing.
Her followers shared their reactions in the comments, with one Instagram user exclaiming, "So happy for you! ❤️."
Another shared, "You deserve it ❤️."
Someone else echoed, "I'm over the moon for you.... cherish the journey❤️."
A different follower commented, "Love this for you!"
Meanwhile, yet another Instagram user wondered, "But does @toddchrisley approve?! That’s the real question 😂."
Savannah was previously engaged to NHL player Nic Kerdiles, but broke it off in 2020 before his 2023 death. She has also dated country singer Blaire Hanks, NBA player Luke Kennard, and country singer Nate Smith.

1976’s Longest-Running No. 1 Hit Song Was Banned by Some Radio Stations
In 1976, Rod Stewart charted the longest-running No. 1 hit single of the year with “Tonight the Night (Gonna Be Alright”). The ballad from Stewart’s album A Night on the Town, peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on Nov. 13, 1976, and remained in the top spot for 8 consecutive weeks, taking it into 1977.
But not every radio station would play the song—at first. Explicit lyrics, coupled with a whispery French-spoken outro recorded by Stewart’s then-girlfriend Britt Ekland, caused problems for the song.
"Tonight’s the Night” was initially banned by several radio stations as well as the BBC due to its suggestive lyrics penned by Stewart, which included him asking a “virgin child” to let her “inhibitions run wild” as he coaxed her into the bedroom. Other stations simply refused to play it due to listener complaints.
The song’s rise to the No. 1 spot caused the radio ban to be lifted, according to Ultimate Classic Rock. The BBC reversed its decision due to “an incredible public demand” for the song, and it ultimately went to No. 5 on the British charts, per Rolling Stone. “Tonight’s the Night” later became the bestselling single of 1977 and ranked as the No. 1 song on Billboard’s 1977 year-end chart.
Rod Stewart said he’d never write the song nowStewart, now 81,was the sole songwriter for “Tonight’s The Night.” In the liner notes for his Storyteller anthology, he shared the backstory on the song.
"This came to me in the middle of the night, as songs often do. I always keep a notepad and cassette recorder by my bed, among other things,” Stewart revealed. “[Guitarist] Steve Cropper and I worked out the arrangement on Friday morning, and it was in the can by Friday night, lyrics being finished by the following evening. We spent more time working on the somewhat complicated intro than the song itself."
Decades later, Stewart admitted he could never write such a song today. “Oh absolutely, I couldn’t write a song like ‘Tonight’s the Night’ now even if I wanted to,” he told The Independent in 2018. “But you know ‘Hot Legs’ is even worse – everything was different then, the clothes, the attitude, even recording was different.”
In the Storyteller anthology, Stewart said he wasn't bothered by the controversy over the 1976 hit song. “It was banned by many radio stations because of its lyrical content," he shared, "but, nevertheless, a little scandal never did anyone any harm."
Experts Share 12 Prime U.S. Destinations Perfect for Seeing Tomorrow's Rare Blood Moon
Stargazers and amateur astronomers will be in for a treat during the early hours of Mar. 3, 2026, when the Earth will pass between the sun and the moon, creating a lunar eclipse. As a result of the Earth's position, the moon will appear red as it hangs in the sky, creating what is known as a Blood Moon.
The celestial show will be visible across most of the U.S., but according to the pros, there are a few spots where you can secure an exceptionally good view of the moon...weather permitting, of course. Trust me, you're not going to want to miss this event, since there won't be another lunar eclipse visible from the North America until 2029! Here's where you should head to check it out.

Voyageurs National Park in MinnesotaNorthern Minnesota is home to one of the largest and most pristine dark sky regions in the world, according to Alyssa Hayes from Voyageurs Conservancy. "At Voyageurs National Park, an International Certified Dark Sky Park, visitors trade city lights for constellations, the Milky Way, and on lucky nights, the Northern Lights reflected across the park’s vast waterways," she says. "Thanks to exceptionally low light pollution and its remote northern location, the 218,000 acre and 40 percent water-based park offers some of the darkest, clearest skies in the continental U.S."
Hayes says that regular Park-After-Dark programs hosted by the park and Voyageurs Conservancy bring telescope sessions and guided night sky tours to the surrounding communities in Minneapolis, creating accessible ways for travelers to experience these remarkable night skies.
As an added bonus, Hayes says that visitors can download the Voyageurs Dark Sky Visitor Guide for insider tips on the best stargazing spots by land and water, ensuring you won't miss a minute of the Blood Moon.
Zion National Park in UtahUtah’s red rock country exemplifies “astro” vacations at their most dramatic, with Zion National Park’s dark-sky status creating natural amphitheater's for cosmic observation in the American Southwest, according to Praytell's Ali Burns. "The region’s high-altitude desert location and minimal atmospheric interference lend themselves to crystal-clear viewing conditions that reveal thousands of stars which would be invisible from urban lookout spots," she says. And although the stars will light up the night sky, you won't have to worry about them drowning out the moon's red glow. Instead, they will add to the appeal.
"Utah’s iconic sandstone cliffs are a defining feature of any Zion stargazing tour, creating unique dark sky photography opportunities for capturing the celestial wonders," Burns continues, adding that Zion's Wildflower Resort, WorldHotels Crafted Collection, is the perfect base for these unique experiences, offering luxury services just outside the national park boundaries.
"By visiting the Zion Wildflower Resort, you’ll enjoy guided astronomy sessions where expert astrologists reveal cosmic wonders through high-powered equipment, transforming casual stargazing into an educational adventure that will deepen your appreciation for the complexities of our universe," she says. "Plus, you can do this from the comfort of your very own glamping tent porch." Talking about a once in a lifetime experience!
Cherry Springs State Park in PennsylvaniaPotter County is home so Cherry Springs State Park, which Julia DePillis of Vault Communications says is an ideal space for stargazers to head if they want to get the best views of the sky.
"It is a standout stargazing destination for Pennsylvania, and one of the best in the entire country," she says. "Designated an International Dark Sky Park by DarkSky International in 2008 (the first in the eastern U.S.), viewers can see up to 30,000 stars visible to the naked eye."
At 2,300-feet above sea level, and surrounded by 262,000 acres of Susquehannock State Forest, visitors can see the Milky Way, meteor showers, and of course the Blood Moon. "Rustic on-site camping (reservation required) and nearby vacation rentals via Cherry Springs Dwell are available to those who would like to stay," she adds for those who want to spend the night near the park to make it easier to catch the early morning show.
Sun Valley in IdahoMidwesterners have lots of places to choose from when looking for a great spot to view the blood moon, but Nollie Haws with Visit Sun Valley says this one region in particular cannot be beat thanks to being part of the Central Idaho Dark Sky Reserve. According to her, this area stretches from Ketchum/Sun Valley north to Stanley, and it's located within the stunning Sawtooth National Recreation Area.
"Designated on December 18, 2017, by the International Dark-Sky Association as the first Gold-Tier International Dark Sky Reserve in the U.S. and one of only a few dozen worldwide, the reserve reflects nearly two decades of collaborative planning by local communities, land managers and private landowners to protect the nocturnal environment from light pollution," she explains. "Its remote wilderness terrain, encompassing public lands, wilderness areas and small mountain towns, offers exceptional stargazing opportunities where the Milky Way, planets and meteor showers are visible with the naked eye, and supports educational programs, astrotourism, and conservation goals that celebrate both the natural and cultural heritage of the region."
Visitors can choose from lodging in Ketchum, Sun Valley or Stanley, Idaho or camp in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, according to Haws. "Hotel Ketchum offers telescopes and other complimentary stargazing equipment for guests." And while you won't need a telescope to see the moon, you can absolutely use it to check out some of the stars while you wait for the show to begin!
Adirondack Park in New YorkThe Adirondack Park, a six million acre region located in upstate New York, is largely free from light pollution, making its villages and wilderness areas prime locations for stargazing, according to Jane Hooper, communications manager at the regional Office of Sustainable Tourism.
"Clear skies and minimal light pollution are crucial for optimal viewing, both of which the Adirondack region offers," she says. "Most of the Adirondacks are a Class 2 on the Bortle Scale, which is described as a 'typical truly dark site.' The region offers minimal light pollution, relatively low humidity, and elevation—all important factors for viewing the stars."
Hooper says visitors to the Adirondacks have myriad opportunities to take part in stargazing, either as a casual observer with the naked eye, with binoculars, or with a personal telescope. "People visiting the Adirondack Sky Center and Observatory, the Adirondacks’ only public astronomy-based organization, can experience close-up views of deep space through high-powered professional telescopes."
The region offers especially dramatic views of the Blood Moon thanks to the landscape itself, according to Hooper. “The Adirondacks is an exceptional location for viewing the nighttime sky,” she says. “While it is known for its mountains, lakes, lush green trails and spectacular foliage, the nighttime sky is equally beautiful—it’s an incredible place to stargaze."
Clear, cool nights show off millions of bright twinkling stars set against ink-black skies. "Even something as simple as watching a full moon rise in the distance, over the mountains or over a beautiful, still lake in the evening is a beautiful thing to see."
Cottonwood in ArizonaThousand Trails Verde Valley (RV Campground) in Cottonwood, Arizona is one of 56 International Dark Sky communities in the U.S., according to Claudia Russo, a Communications Specialist with Thousand Trails. "Conveniently located in Cottonwood is Verde Valley RV Campground, the perfect place to camp out under the stars," she says.
Here, visitors will have minimal light pollution to contend with, allowing you to witness the deeper and more vibrant colors of the Blood Moon. Plus, if you decide to camp here, you won't have to wake up quite as early to see the show. Instead, you'll just need to look out the window of your camper or cottage rental.
Vero Beach in FloridaObviously, some of the most impressive views of the Blood Moon will come from areas on the water, since you'll be able to see the moon reflected on the surface, allowing for some truly breathtaking sights and photo opps. But, according to Awet Sium, General Manager, Kimpton with Vero Beach Hotel & Spa, you'll want to splurge a little to get the best views.
"Down here, some of the best stargazing is on the water: the hotel offers a complimentary 'Stargazing on the Sea' riverboat excursion on the Indian River Lagoon, just across from its Atlantic Ocean beachfront," he explains. "Guests head out at night with local astronomer and president of Mission Astronomy Group, David Brown and a telescope for a guided tour of constellations, planets and seasonal sky highlights tailored to that specific date and time."
But, if you're hoping to book in time for the Blood Moon, you'll have to be fast, since the boat only takes about six guests out at a time. Can't make it down there before the lunar eclipse gets started. Sium says you'll have plenty of other opportunities to book a trip to look at the stars in the future.
Curecanti National Recreation Area in ColoradoAnother International Dark Sky Park, Russo says that this is a great place for campers who are looking for the best views of the Blood Moon. "Home to beautiful reservoirs in Gunnison, Colorado is Curecanti National Recreation Area, an International Dark Sky Park," she says, noting that those who stay here will have plenty to do during the daytime as well. "Not only can you stargaze here, but you can also go fishing, hiking, or camping," she says.
Located on one of the reservoirs is Blue Mesa Recreational Ranch in Gunnison, Colorado, Russo says this is the perfect place to enjoy the Colorado skies.

Big Bend National Park in TexasThey say everything is bigger in Texas, but does that include the moon? For hopeful stargazers looking to catch the Blood Moon, that means heading to Big Bend National Park for the best (and hopefully biggest) views. "Designated as an International Dark Sky Park, Big Bend offers some of the darkest measured skies in the lower 48," according to Blythe Beaubien, a representative working with Off the Beaten Path. "With minimal light pollution, high desert air, and expansive Chihuahuan Desert landscapes, it’s one of the most dramatic and immersive stargazing settings in the country."
During the day, Beauvien says you can book an experience with Off the Beaten Path, where travelers can experience Big Bend not just as a scenic stop, but as a fully guided desert immersion with hiking among Santa Elena Canyon’s towering cliffs by day and settling in after sunset for guided night-sky viewing where the Milky Way stretches horizon to horizon. "The remoteness and scale make it especially powerful for first-time deep-sky observers," she says of the location, which sounds absolutely perfect for catching the lunar eclipse.
Joshua Tree National Park in CaliforniaJoshua Tree National Park is not only known for its breathtaking desert landscapes that are home to many Joshua Trees, but also for stargazing, according to Russo, who notes that Palm Desert is also nearby for those who want to stay close to the action. "Just half an hour away is Thousand Trails Palm Springs, located in Palm Desert, California," she says. "Whether you want to see the stars from the resort, or make the short drive to the National Park, this spot is a must."
Sinks Canyon State Park in WyomingSinks Canyon State Park is the first-ever International Dark Sky Park in Wyoming, according to Helen Wilson, CEO, Wind River Visitors Council. "The park is 600 acres and includes a deep canyon with steep walls, giving viewers a front-row seat and unfiltered view of the dark sky," she says. According to Wilson, visitors can see the Milky Way, planets, and constellations throughout the year.
Of course, on March 3 everyone will be looking for the Blood Moon, which will look exceptionally bright thanks to Wyoming's low light and high elevation. "Those two factors combined means star gazers have a better view of the sky and what's in it," she explains.
Best of all, visitors here don't need to bring any extra gear with them when they come to check out the stars. "While you can use binoculars or a telescope for closer views, the dark sky that already exists in Wyoming makes it easy to simply look up and stargaze."
Dr. Lawless County Park in MichiganDr. Lawless County Park offers some of the best stargazing in the state of Michigan, according to Russo, who notes that they keep the park open until 2 a.m. so that people can take advantage of the views.
"Not only can you gaze at the stars here, but you can also enjoy a variety of activities offered, that are great ways to spend the day, until nightfall arrives," Russo adds for those who want to fill their time while visiting. "Located under an hour away from the park you can find Thousand Trails Bear Cave in Buchanan, which offers attractions of its own during camping season (April through October), including a cave that served as part of the Underground Railroad."
View this post on Instagram When can you view the Blood MoonNorth American viewers will be able to see the Blood Moon during the early morning hours of Mar. 3, 2026, according to Space.com. Those located on the west coast will have the best views, but the total lunar eclipse will be viewable across the U.S.
Depending on where you're located, your best views will be found during totality, which is when the Earth passes fully between the moon and the sun, forcing the suns rays to filter through the Earth's atmosphere, creating the blood red color. Here's when it happens:
- Penumbral eclipse begins at 3:44 a.m. EST
- Partial eclipse begins at 4:50 a.m. EST
- Totality will happen at 6:04–7:04 a.m. EST
- Maximum eclipse will happen at 6:33 a.m. EST
- Partial eclipse ends at 8:17 a.m. EST
So, remember to set your alarm and get ready for the show. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until New Year's Day in 2029 to get another chance to see the Blood Moon in the U.S.
4 Birth Months With Old-Soul Emotional Wisdom
Some people naturally possess a deep, intuitive understanding of life. These gifted individuals are highly attuned to emotional changes, can recognize unspoken feelings, and have a quiet kind of insight. This ability is reflected in the way they approach problems, support others, and learn from their experiences. According to astrologers, individuals born in certain months are most likely to be wise beyond their years, demonstrating this profound understanding long before it’s expected of them.
Having this instinctive, old-soul wisdom doesn't necessarily mean you have all the answers. Instead, it often manifests as emotional awareness—recognizing when to speak, when to step back, and when someone requires understanding rather than advice. For those born in the following four months, this insight seems to come naturally, as if they have already experienced core, sensitive lessons in their previous incarnations.

Therefore, they'll go above and beyond to make others feel included. You tend to observe more than you speak, picking up on moods and unspoken tension without trying. There's a strong sense of empathy here, but also independence — you understand people deeply while still needing space to be yourself. Whether you're an unconventional Aquarius or an intuitive Pisces, you usually trust your inner intuitive sense more than outside opinions.
JunePeople born in June tend to learn through their interactions and one-on-one relationships. Deep connections are important to you because you know how complicated emotions can be. Legendary Journalist Looks Better Than Ever at 75 After Alleging She Was Fired From ‘GMA’ at 47
Joan Lunden has faced plenty of challenges in her life, and she keeps getting better each day.
The iconic journalist, who served as a co-host of Good Morning America for 17 years, has a new memoir, JOAN: Life Beyond the Script, that hits shelves on March 3. Dressed in jeans and a pink cropped jacket, the blonde beauty hits the cover of the new issue of Woman's World, and it's safe to say she looks better than ever.
View this post on Instagram Why Did Joan Lunden Leave Good Morning America? While Lunden officially cited that she was "tired of the morning shift" as the reason she left the show in 1997, she has since been clear that she was pushed out for someone younger.
"I mean, I was 47 years old. That's not old. They don't push men out because they're 47," she told Yahoo Life in 2022, adding, "I don't look back. I'm not the kind of person that looks back."
When Did Joan Lunden Have Cancer? While she may be thriving these days, Lunden has experienced a roller coaster over the last several decades. In June 2014, she was diagnosed with breast cancer after undergoing a routine mammogram.
“Doctors found two tumors in my right breast: a triple-negative tumor and a DCIS tumor. From the moment you hear the words ‘You have breast cancer,’ everything that was once normal feels as if it is immediately washed away,” Lunden told Today.com in 2017.
While Lunden has a clean bill of health these days, she still has plenty on her plate. She’s the mom of seven, including two sets of twins. She’s written several books and serves as an advocate for early cancer detection. But ultimately, her greatest tip for others is to practice gratitude.
“My cancer battle opened my eyes to just how much my family and friends loved and supported me. I’ve embarked on a visual reconstruction of my life using family albums, keepsakes and memorabilia from my career,” she told the Star last year. “Revisiting memories and milestones gives us a chance to reflect on our lives, to be grateful for what has come before and help us plan for what’s next. Want to know my new mantra? ‘Make today and tomorrow so awesome that you make yesterday jealous!’”
Has the Nancy Guthrie Case Gone Cold? Former FBI Agent Points to 2 Critical Factors That Could Change Everything
Nancy Guthrie has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1, and with the investigation into her disappearance now in its second month, many people are wondering if the case has gone cold.
There haven't been any major developments when it comes to finding Guthrie, 84, or identifying the person or persons who might be behind her disappearance. Couple that with the Pima County Sheriff's Department saying they are "refocusing resources" by allocating a number of detectives to the case and allowing the rest to return to other duties.
As public interest in the case has seemingly waned, Parade reached out to Greg Rogers for some expert analysis. Rogers is a former Special Agent with the FBI, where he spent more than two decades investigating complex criminal and national security matters. He retired from the bureau in September 2017.
"I don't believe the case has gone cold," Rogers says. "Although the number of FBI agents dedicated has lessened as leads have decreased and there is no current need for tactical teams, there are still a good number of agents who will remain assigned to this case until it's resolved. That includes tech agents that are concentrating on digital forensics like cell tower searches."
Related: Nancy Guthrie Latest Update: Former FBI Agent Discusses ‘Antenna’ Seen in Perp’s Pocket
Rogers believes that cell phone pings are being closely looked at as the investigation continues.
"As you can well imagine, every cell phone that pinged off a local tower will have its user identified and interviewed/investigated," Rogers explains. "That avenue of investigation is similar to the work that went into the Kohlberger case in Idaho. It has been my opinion that the individual caught in the doorbell camera is no pro and hopefully left his phone on. The same type of work that went into getting info out of the cloud on the Guthrie doorbell camera is also being conducted on neighbor's security devices."
Aside from cell phone pings, Rogers believes that the Guthrie family's $1 million reward could end up paying off, too.
"I have worked a number of cases where rewards made all the difference. I am hopeful someone will decide the reward in this case is worth the risk of cooperating," Rogers tells Parade.
Blues Legend Who Played With Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton Dead at 83
Beloved blues musician John Hammond has died at the age of 83. Over the course of his career, Hammond made a lasting impact on the genre of blues music and worked with some of the greats.
Clash noted that Hammond was the son of John Henry Hammond Jr., who also was a well-known player in the music industry. He was a talent scout and producer for Columbia Records and worked with greats such as Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and Billie Holiday. However, Clash shared, the blues musician didn't have a great relationship with his father.
Despite his father's deep connections within the music industry, Hammond developed his own style and developed his career on his own. He grew up primarily with his mother after his parents split when he was a young child. He released his first album in 1963 and became known for his acoustic guitar performances.
In 1968, during a week of performances in New York City's Greenwich Village, both Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton joined Hammond on stage.
Hammond recalled crossing paths with Hendrix while he was playing a week-long gig at The Gaslight. He said Hendrix was touring with The Monkees, but it seems it didn't feel like a great fit.
After hanging out a bit, Hendrix asked if Hammond would mind if he sat in and played with him on stage a bit. Hammond told Hendrix he didn't mind at all, and that's how that night of collaboration came to be.
As for playing with Clapton, Hammond recalled in 1965 he had done his first tour in England. While in England he got to know Clapton, and when Hammond was back in the U.S., playing at The Gaslight, Clapton came in to hear him play. Similarly to how Hendrix ended up on stage, Clapton asked to sit in and the rest was history.
For that week-long gig, Hammond ended up with both Hendrix and Clapton casually sitting in with him as he performed.
View this post on InstagramHammond received a Grammy Award for his work on Blues Explosion, and he won eight Blues Music Awards. In 2011, Hammond was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.
Over the course of his career, Hammond released over 30 albums. He performed frequently even in his later years,
Noise 11 confirmed Hammond's death, noting the 83 year old blues icon died on February 28. The site confirmed his death with Hammond's friend and collaborator Paul James, who learned of his friend's death from Hammond's third wife, Marla Hammond.
Who Is Jesse Palmer’s Wife? How They Met Years After 'The Bachelor'
Jesse Palmer may have starred on Season 5 of The Bachelor, but the former NFL player—who now hosts the long-running dating franchise—didn’t meet his wife on the show. That came more than 12 years later, when he crossed paths with Brazilian model Emely Fardo the old-fashioned way: by chance, at the gym.
“I’m so lucky to call you my wife and best friend,” he gushed about her on Instagram.
View this post on InstagramAhead, get to know Palmer’s better half, from how they met to whether they have kids.
Who is Jesse Palmer’s wife, Emely Fardo?Fardo was born and raised in Curitiba, Brazil and moved to New York City in 2011 to pursue a career in modeling. According to a 2016 Instagram post, she signed (or perhaps re-signed) with New York Model Management that year, but it’s unclear whether she’s still represented by that agency—or another one—today. Regardless, she still identifies as a fashion model in her IG bio.
While she once filled her Instagram feed with photos from various modeling campaigns, these days it’s more likely to feature sweet family moments and dreamy vacation snapshots, whether she’s posting from a trip to Vienna for The Bachelor or sharing memories from a relaxing getaway in Saint Barths.
Did Jesse Palmer meet his wife on The Bachelor? No. While Palmer once starred as the lead on The Bachelor back in 2004, his season didn’t result in a lasting marriage. He chose Jessica Bowlin in the finale, but the two eventually split without ever getting engaged. “It’s a great experience," he told Parade in 2011, of being on The Bachelor. "I mean, it’s a fantasy, but I wouldn’t do it a second time.”
His real-life love story happened off-camera more than a decade later, when he met Fardo at a boxing gym in New York City (more on that below).
View this post on Instagram How did Jesse Palmer and his wife meet?Palmer and Fardo first crossed paths in 2017 at a boxing class at Rumble in New York City. “I saw her and thought she was beautiful,” Palmer recalled in an interview with the Daily Mail. They ended up having their first date two weeks later, at the same location, and got engaged in 2019, in Reims, France.
“She has taught me, cares for me like no one else. She has made me be the best version of myself,” he shared with the Daily Mail at the time of their engagement. “She loves me unconditionally. I'm head over heels for her.”
He delivered half his proposal in Portuguese, her native language.

When did Jesse Palmer and his wife get married? The couple first exchanged vows in June 2020 at a friend’s house in Connecticut, after having to postpone their originally planned wedding in Provence, France, twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Only a handful of quarantined friends from the greater New York City area were able to attend the ceremony.
"Big or small, wedding party or not, we feel so grateful and lucky to have found each other,” the couple shared at the time.
They went on to have their intended overseas wedding in July 2022.
“After cancelling our wedding twice due to Covid and then eloping in Connecticut, Emely and I finally tied the knot (again) in front of our immediate families in Provence, France,” Palmer shared.
“Everything was PERFECT. This was the day we had been envisioning for the past 3 years. Such a magical day full of love, tears (I maybe cried…a lot) and gratitude.”
Are Jesse Palmer and his wife still together?Yes. A quick glance at their Instagram feeds will tell you that Mr. and Mrs. Palmer are still going strong. “She gives me peace, because I just feel love and I feel acceptance,” Palmer once said on an episode of The Rachael Ray Show.
These days, the couple is living in Miami, Fla., raising their 2-year-old daughter, Ella. But given Palmer’s work on The Bachelor franchise and as a college football analyst for ESPN, he’s hardly ever home. Speaking with GQ in November 2023, he estimated he spent maybe 50 days there that year.
Historically, his wife has been up for traveling with him, but it hasn't always been a smooth-sailing experience. Recalling a 2022 trip they took to the Netherlands for filming, he told GQ, “There was a night where we thought everything was going to be copacetic. We went into Amsterdam, got a room at the Soho House, had dinner, and were in bed at 10. Then the phone in the hotel starts blowing up at 10:20.” He had to get back on camera; a car was waiting outside to get him.
“You're groggy, you get in the car, you're driven 45 minutes to the boat, you put on a suit, makeup, and go right into filming,” he said. “You never know when it's going to happen.”
How long have Jesse Palmer and his wife been married? The pair will celebrate their six-year anniversary in June 2026.
How many times has Jesse Palmer been married?Just once. Despite his long history with The Bachelor franchise—first as a lead, now as a host—Palmer has only been married to Fardo.
Do Jesse Palmer and his wife have kids?Yes! The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Ella, in January 2024. “Our worlds have been forever changed,” they wrote in a joint Instagram announcement at the time. They also share an Aussie Doodle, LouLou (shout-out to fur babies!).
View this post on InstagramAlthough the Palmers do share photos of their child online, they prefer to cover her face with emojis to protect her privacy. In January, Palmer posted pics from her second birthday celebration in Cap Jaluca, Anguilla. “The joy she brings to our lives is beyond measure,” he wrote.

Jewel is looking back on 31 years with a music milestone that still stands today.
Taking to Instagram over the weekend, the singer, 51, celebrated the 31st anniversary of her first album, 'Pieces of You,' reflecting on the long road she endured at the start of her career as well as behind-the-scenes photos from 1995.
"This little album that could," she wrote. "To this day it’s the best selling debut album of ALL TIME. How crazy is that? I was a feral Alaskan girl. I was homeless."
View this post on Instagram"I turned down a 1 million dollar signing bonus - all because I wanted to make an acoustic folk album at the height of grunge and I was pretty sure it would not be a huge success, and I wanted to de-risk it for the label so I would not get dropped if it did not perform well," she added. "So I could make the music I wanted , how I wanted. And it did fail. For two years."
"So I went to work. Over 1,000 shows a year. 5 and 6 shows a day- high schools, radio stations, parking lots, coffee shops, opening for Bauhaus and Peter Murphy and punk bands in rough clubs," she shared, explaining how she eventually "developed a grass roots following" and got her "big break" on Conan O'Brien's show.
"I began to get momentum and soon I was selling 1 million albums every month, for over 15 months," she shared. "What a wild ride! It is thanks to all of you for validating sensitive folk music in a world of male dominated grunge. I am so gratful [sic] to you all-more than you can ever know."

Fans swarmed the post's comment section, sharing their stories as to how the album and Jewel's subsequent music has resonated with them throughout the years and also noticed how young she looked in the photos she posted.
"Happy Anniversary, look at you baby face," one wrote.
"I know every lyric by heart! Still today," added another.
"I grew up with 'Pieces Of You," a third wrote. "I loved it. So grateful. Thank you for sharing it."
"To this day my favorite most influential album," another commenter said. "Your words struck such a deep connection and I STILL choose to sing your music over anyone else."
This isn't the first time the "Hands" singer has gotten sentimental on Instagram. Last year she posted a tribute to the song, "Who Will Save Your Soul," from the 1995 album, as it was the first song she ever wrote.
Hit song "You Were Meant For Me" is also on the "Pieces of You" album.

Sonic’s New St. Patrick’s Day Slush Offers a Tart ‘Jolt of Fun'
Sonic is making sour the flavor of the season.
While other industry giants focus on minty and chocolatey flavors for their St. Patrick's Day specials, Sonic is prepared to go in a completely different direction. So if you're looking for sweet Thin Mints-inspired treats (because it is Girl Scout Cookie season after all), head to Wendy's for the new Frosty Fusion, DQ for its Mint Crunchin' Cookie menu, or McDonald's for the returning Shamrock Shake—because Sonic is doing things differently.
This spring at the legendary drive-in, fans will find an unexpected, playful and totally eye-catching new frozen treat that's bursting with tart flavors and sour popping candy on the menu: Sonic's Sour Shamrock Slush.
Sonic Is Serving a Sour Shamrock Slush for a Limited TimeAccording to an official description shared directly with Parade, the Sonic Sour Shamrock Slush is a vibrant green apple slush packed with sour popping candy, topped with a fluffy cloud of whipped topping, sprinkled with even more popping candy and finished with a tart rainbow candy strip.

Sonic debuts limited-time Sour Shamrock Slush.S
The company says this "playful, eye-catching creation" delivers "serious wow-factor" and a "puckering kick" that's bursting with color, texture and "a jolt of fun for taste buds."
And sure, it's designed to be sour, but it's also super sweet in the sense that it helps give back to the community. As with all Sonic drinks, shakes and slushes, a portion of the sales support public education through the Sonic Limeades for Learning initiative, which has grown to be one of the largest programs in the U.S. to support public education, according to its website. It does so by funding teacher projects, sending classroom supplies, and providing scholarships for immersive educator training programs.
But unlike other Sonic sips (like its cult-favorite Ocean Water and popular Cherry Limeade), this icy-cool beverage will only be served in one size. Prices for the 20-ounce cup will start at $3.99 and may vary by location.
As for when fans can expect it to hit menus, the company said that it's officially launching today (Monday, March 2) at participating Sonic Drive-In restaurants nationwide—but just like the season itself, it's not hanging around for long. According to the company, it will only be available through the end of the month, meaning you have exactly four weeks to try it.
To find the new slush at a Sonic location near you, refer to the official website.

1983 Hit Song by Legendary Rock Star Was Thanks to a Radio Contest
The year was 1983, andJon Bon Joviwasn’t yet the arena-filling rock star fans know today. Before becoming a household name, he first gained recognition through a New York radio station contest that put his band’s debut single, "Runaway," into mainstream rotation.
"Runaway" was recorded back in 1982 at the Power Station recording studio before Bon Jovi even had a full band. Instead, the rockstar used musicians who were part of the studio and worked with other musicians during their recording sessions. In a 2020 interview with Virgin Radio UK’s Chris Evans, Bon Jovi explained he couldn't get a record deal at the time, nor a band, since original bands weren't making money at the time.
The instrumentals ended up being played by bassist Hugh McDonald, guitarist Tim Pierce, drummer Frankie LaRocka, and keyboardist Roy Bittan. They ended up creating an anthemic rock song that perfectly described Bon Jovi's sound, but the problem was getting it out there for people to hear.
The rockstar revealed that he quickly came up with a plan and thought of the "loneliest man in the music business." The DJ, and that's where the Long Island radio station WAPP 103.5FM came in. Bon Jovi even remembers the radio station being so new it didn't have a receptionist and played the track for DJ Chip Hobart and promotion director John Lassman.
Related: 1993 Hit Song Named ‘Best Female Rock Song’ Of All Time
Both men loved the single, and it quickly became a local hit, but the real stardom didn't happen until Lassman urged Bon Jovi to enter their contest. WAPP's contest was in search of the best unsigned band, with Bon Jovi winning hands down. Thanks to the radio station, Bon Jovi became an official band and signed with Mercury Records.
"Runaway" became the first single of their self-titled debut album and entered the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. It landed at No.39 and was their first, an impressive feat as a brand-new band. Bon Jovi called it a "dream" of hearing his song on the radio and has since thanked Hobart for the start of his long-term success in the industry.
4 Core Personality Traits of People Born on the 9th, Per Numerology
Did you know that your birth date speaks volumes about your personality and divine spiritual mission? According to numerologists, each birth date resonates with at least one number. The birth date embodies the number’s attributes, talents, and so much more, which is passed down to those born on that date. Being born on the 9th means you’re a courageous, heart-centered person with infinite wisdom. Numerology’s 9 guides you in all that you do. Read on to discover the numerological significance of 9, challenges to watch for, and four core personality traits that define you.
The Numerological Significance of Number 9Numerologists consider 9 a deeply spiritual number, since it represents completing or ending a cycle. Reaching the end of a cycle often comes with immense wisdom and insight, so 9 carries a profound energy. Those who resonate with this special number are typically intentional, pensive individuals. They’re known for having a more well-rounded perspective, which fuels their compassion and love for others. However, their love isn’t childlike or naive—it’s mature.
Interestingly, the number 9 aligns with Mars, the astrological planet of action, ambition, and aggression. Mars might seem kind of harsh, given 9’s kind nature, but Mars allows those aligned with 9 to be fiercely protective and courageously loving. The best crystal to work with would be Carnelian, since this orange gem enhances joy and stimulates vitality.
Challenges to Watch ForPeople born on the 9th may feel like there’s a big task aligned with their life’s work and purpose. 9 represents the end of a cycle, so being born on the 9th implies ending a karmic cycle or completing a divine spiritual mission. As a result, these individuals may feel stressed thinking about how much work they have to do. Being Mars-ruled helps, but only if they learn to work with their stamina. The Martian energy will challenge them to work on balancing their energy levels by learning to rest.
Aside from this, people born on the 9th may struggle with dishonest individuals. They’re empathetic and sympathetic individuals who strive to do the right thing by helping others. Being misled, betrayed, or taken advantage of is to be expected for those born on the 9th. They must learn to trust their discernment and to not feel guilty when they choose themselves over helping someone who takes their kindness for granted.
Core Personality Traits of Those Born on the 9th1. A Warrior SpiritIndomitable strength and courage finds those born on the 9th. Their birth date works with Mars—astrology’s warring planet. They represent a mighty warrior spirit, since Mars encourages these individuals to stand up for what is right. People born on the 9th will champion the underdogs, encourage those who lack bravery, and defend the people who need it most. Their fierceness comes from being exceptionally loving and understanding, which is their greatest strength of all.
2. Passionate & LovingThe most loving people are born on the 9th. They’re birth dates represent a full circle moment, so these individuals typically have a deep, unconditional love that comes from worldly experiences and karmic lessons. Spirit has granted them a higher consciousness that sustains their unconditionally loving energy. In spite of all they’ve been through, they remain open-minded and tender to others. These individuals are passionate about acts of service, so it’s no surprise that those born on the 9th are considered to be humanitarians.
3. Highly Spiritual9 is considered to be a highly spiritual number, so those born on the 9th are thought of as spiritually advanced beings. The universe has bestowed a higher consciousness to these individuals, making them infinitely wise and mature. Having a highly spiritual nature is a gift. They’re blessed with a philosophical worldview that helps them zone out to see the bigger picture. It also allows them to be generous, kind, and compassionate, because their spirituality helps them empathize with people from all walks of life.
4. Honest & GenuineBeing Mars-ruled means that people born on the 9th have a “What you see is what you get” attitude. Sure, they’re undeniably considerate and compassionate, but that comes from a place of profound self-introspection. Being self-aware allows people born on the 9th to move through this world with self-assurance and confidence. They cannot stand disingenuous folks, since they value the bravery it takes to be true to oneself. Instead of tearing down others, these individuals work hard, encouraging everyone to be just as authentic as they are.

HBO Max and Paramount+ $79B Merger Could Reshape Streaming Wars
The streaming wars may be entering a new phase.
HBO Maxand Paramount+ are set to combine into a single direct-to-consumer platform if—and when—Paramount Skydance’s acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery closes. The potential consolidation was confirmed during a Monday, March 2 investor call led by Paramount CEO David Ellison, who framed the move as a strategic play to compete with the biggest players in streaming.
“As we said, we do plan to put the two services together, which today gives us a little over 200 million direct to consumer subscribers,” Ellison said in the call per Hollywood Reporter. “We think that really positions us to compete with the leaders in the space.”
He added that Paramount will complete the consolidation of its three existing services into “one unified stack” by midyear and hinted at a similar tech-forward approach for the combined HBO Max–Paramount+ platform.
Ellison also laid out part of the broader content strategy during the call, committing to a 45-day exclusive theatrical window before films move to premium video-on-demand, followed by SVOD and AVOD availability. The plan reportedly includes a slate of 15 theatrical releases per year.
However, one thing isn’t changing: HBO itself.
“Casey[Bloys] and his team do absolutely a remarkable job at HBO,” Ellison noted of the HBO CEO, emphasizing that the premium network will continue to “operate with independence.” In his words, “Our viewpoint is HBO should stay HBO. They built a phenomenal brand. They are a leader in the space.”
The internet was quick to comment their opinions on the merger.
“Summary: Mass layoffs, huge debt & WB getting sold again after 3-4 years,” one X user quipped.
Another wrote, “Merging the two most iconic back catalogs could create a content library powerhouse, assuming they navigate the debt.”
“Translation: thousands of layoffs and Ai Slop incoming,” said a third.
A fourth pointed out, “For those that just liked having max or paramount, get ready for that price increase.”
But many agreed that if this means fewer subscriptions and apps, they’re in.
“1 less subscription?,” one asked.
Another wrote, “All I want is fewer apps and one place to find everything. Please don’t overthink this.”
If completed, the merger would unite more than 200 million subscribers under one platform, forming a massive combined streaming footprint backed by approximately $79 billion in net debt.

11 Best Hairstyles for Diamond-Shaped Faces, Stylists Reveal
Ever bring a photo to the hair salon, only to leave wondering why it just… doesn’t translate? Same cut, same inspo, but completely different energy. The truth is, face shape and features change everything. And no, that doesn’t mean you’re boxed into rules or banned from certain styles. It just means a little strategy goes a long way. Hair should feel fun and fluid—but knowing how to tweak a cut for your features is what takes it from "nice" to next-level. That's what brings us to the best diamond face shape hairstyles.
If you have a diamond-shaped face, you’re working with serious bone structure. Wider cheekbones, narrower forehead and chin—it’s bold and totally model-off-duty coded. Seriously, those sculpted cheeks do half the work for you. The only thing to keep in mind? Balance. Softening width through the center of the face while adding a touch of fullness at the forehead or jawline can make everything feel harmonious without dulling that natural edge.
The right layers, fringe placement or hit of volume can completely shift the mood of a haircut on a diamond face shape. Ahead, top stylists share the cuts that flatter those standout cheekbones—and exactly how to make each one feel like you. Read on for the 11 best hairstyles for diamond-shaped faces.
Related: Is the Side Part Back in Style? 7 Best Ways To Wear It Right Now, NYC Stylist Reveals
When it comes to diamond-shaped faces, balance is everything. “A diamond face shape has sharp cheekbones, a narrower forehead, and a pointed chin,” explains celebrity hairstylist (she's styled the likes of Dorit Kemsley and Sofia Richie Grainge) and TRESemmé brand partnerHayley Heckmann—so the goal isn’t to hide those features, but to complement them.
Her go-to recommendation is "a textured lob with soft layers and side-swept bangs," because it "helps soften those angles while adding balance around the crown and jaw."
The movement from the layers keeps the cut from feeling too severe, while the side-swept fringe subtly widens the forehead area for a more harmonious silhouette. It’s precise but still playful—and easy to style with a loose bend or airy blowout to keep everything looking light and modern.

Should Diamond Faces Wear Layers?Absolutely—layers are basically your secret weapon. Heckmann notes they're especially flattering because they can strategically shift proportion without taking away from those standout cheekbones. "Soft layers balance sharp cheekbones and add width in the right places," she explains, noting that placement is everything.
When layers "start below the cheekbones with a little volume at the crown," they create lift up top and softness through the lengths, preventing the middle of the face from looking too wide. The result is airy, flattering movement that enhances your structure instead of competing with it.

What Are Hairstyles To Avoid for Diamond Faces? When it comes to face shapes, it's all about strategic cuts. "Diamond face shapes should avoid styles that emphasize sharp angles," warns Heckmann, who recommends steering clear of blunt cuts, heavy straight-across bangs or flat styles with no volume. Those ultra-blunt lines can exaggerate your naturally striking cheekbones and narrow chin, while pin-straight, slicked-back looks remove the softness and width that create balance.
As she puts it, "these can make the face look narrower," highlighting proportions you might actually want to soften. If you’re craving a sharp cut or sleek moment, add some texture, movement or lift at the crown to keep the overall effect playful and dimensional.

Should a Diamond Face Shape Get Bangs?Absolutely—bangs can be a major win for this face shape when done right. Heckmann loves "side-swept or curtain bangs," because they "soften a narrow forehead and add balance." The key is choosing a fringe that breaks up sharp lines rather than doubling down on them. Wispy, sweeping pieces or face-framing curtain bangs create movement across the forehead and subtly widen the upper half of the face, bringing everything into harmony.

11 Best Hairstyles for Diamond-Shaped Faces, According to Stylists1. Face-Framing LayersMark Davis/Getty Images
Jessica Alba's cut is fresh, light and effortlessly flattering for a diamond face shape. The secret? Soft, face-framing layers paired with a "wispy, piecey side bang," says Heckmann, who notes this organic style helps soften sharp cheekbones while subtly widening the forehead. It’s balance without masking your natural bone structure.
At the salon, ask for "airy layers" that begin around the cheekbones and taper down, plus a side bang that blends seamlessly. At home, finger-dry for natural movement, then use a round brush just on the fringe to create that swoopy, youthful finish.

This look is pure diamond-face magic, and as Heckmann says, "the style and the cut are so flattering on Kim’s face shape," because "it brings just the right amount of subtle softness."
Loose, fluffy waves soften the angles while adding width where you want it most—through the jaw and lower half—without sacrificing structure. Heckmann recommends "sleeping with dry hair in very loose braids."
Don't have time for an overnight styling? You can always tap a flat iron quickly over a very loose braid to get that "fluffy, lived-in texture." Finish with texturizing spray for that plush, touchable movement that keeps things air and weightless for days.
3. Deep Side PartJB Lacroix/FilmMagic
Few things flatter a diamond face faster than a dramatic side part—just look at Bella Hadid. The deep sweep instantly offsets sharp cheekbones and creates asymmetry, says Heckmann, which softens the overall silhouette. It also adds the illusion of width at the forehead, which helps to give balance to the face.
To recreate it, part your hair at the highest point of your brow arch and smooth one side behind the ear. Keep lengths sleek and straight for contrast, or tuck one side to really emphasize that sculpted, elevated energy.
4. Wispy BangsArnold Jerocki/WireImage
On Julia Roberts, wispy bangs are the real MVP. "This haircut works well with her face shape because the soft, wispy bangs and face-framing layers balance her sharp cheekbones and soften her look," says Heckmann. The fringe lightly skims the forehead, adding a gentle softness to the narrower upper face, while the layers around the face keep her cheekbones perfectly balanced.
If you want to go for it, maintain this style with a bit of smoothing cream (a dime-size amount on damp hair will do) before blow-drying, and then a touch on dry ends to seal and define—keeping everything light, airy and effortlessly romantic.

Some signatures styles just make sense—and Taylor Swift’s soft bangs with subtle, flowing layers is one of them. "Her bangs frame her face perfectly and the slight long layer adds such a stunning balance," says Hayley. And on a diamond face shape? That pairing is ethereal.
The bangs gently widen the forehead area, while the long, blended layers add movement below the chin to create symmetry without overpowering those cheekbones. The trick is restraint—keep the layers seamless and elongated, nothing overly choppy.
To style, Heckmann recommends "curling your hair away from your face with a 1- or 1.25-inch curling iron," which opens up the features and gives that soft, brushed-out finish that feels romantic but still modern.
6. Chin-Length BobErnesto Ruscio/Getty Images
Take notes from Halle Berry. A chin-length bob "enhances bone structure while softening features," which gives the iconic actress a "modern, youthful edge," notes Gary Levin, stylist and owner of ACRO New York salon. It's incredibly striking on a diamond face because it highlights the jawline while adding fullness below the cheekbones—exactly where balance is needed. But be sure to avoid any super blunt edges (this will create a boxy appearance) by asking your stylist for subtle internal layering or slight undercutting.
At home, blow-dry with a round brush for shape, then flick the ends slightly under to keep it sleek but not severe. Ta-da! It's really that simple.

7. Hollywood CurlsTaylor Hill/Getty Images
On Tyra Banks, the side-swept Hollywood wave is total glam perfection. That deep, dramatic swoop gives "such an elevated feel," says Heckmann, creating "almost a side bang illusion without the commitment." For diamond face shapes, that’s an easy win. The sweeping front softens the forehead and highlights cheekbones in a way that feels sultry, yet not too severe.
To get that sculpted bend, Heckmann recommends "using a 1.25-inch curling iron in vertical sections all directed towards the face." Once everything cools, brush the curls out gently to meld them together, then tuck one side behind the ear for that red-carpet finish that feels timeless but still bold.

If there’s one styling trick diamond face shapes can always count on, it’s volume—and Kerry Washington makes the case effortlessly. This textured crop lifts at the crown, adding width up top to balance a narrower forehead and pointed chin while keeping the overall look strong and striking.
As Heckmann notes, "This is a perfect example of volume being flattering to a diamond face shape," adding that "the volume in this style really adds the perfect lift at her root."
To get that airy height, she recommends setting the mohawk section of the hair in rollers after blow-drying, letting them cool, then backcombing everything away from the face for that confident, face-framing lift.
9. Layered PixieTaylor Hill/Getty Images
Scarlett Johansson makes a layered pixie look impossibly cool—and yes, it works for diamond shapes. The key is texture and softness through the top and fringe, which offset sharp angles and add width at the crown. Plus, as celebrity stylist Marcos Diaz (who has cut the strands of Hailey Bieber and Katy Perry) puts it, "Layered pixie's are versatile, ranging from cropped and sleek to tousled and textured, and can be customized for every face shape and hair type."
All you have to do is ask for longer layers on top with movement (not a tight, flat crop). Style with a pea-size amount of pomade, piece out the ends and lift at the roots with your fingers for that undone, modern feel.
10. Butterfly CutLionel Hahn/WireImage
On Jennifer Lopez, the butterfly cut delivers major volume without sacrificing length. The cascading layers around the face soften cheekbones and create width at both the crown and jaw—perfect for diamond proportions.
At the salon, Heckmann recommends you request "long layers with soft shaping and an easy, natural finish," to get a similar effect as JLo. Style with a large round brush and flip the front layers away from the face to show off that airy, bouncy dimension and let your natural beauty do the rest.
11. Medium-Length ShagFrank Trapper/Corbis via Getty Images
Rihanna in a mid-length shag with a side part? Elite. The layers add "the right amount of softness," movement and width through the lower half of the face, says Heckmann, while the side part softens the forehead. For diamond shapes, that combination keeps everything balanced and dynamic.
Use a texturizing spray on damp hair, diffuse for natural grit, and rake your fingers through the ends to enhance separation. The vibe is relaxed, flattering and undeniably cool.

Hobby Lobby's $23 Find Is the Ultimate Must-Have for Lovers of Vintage Items
The landscape of interior design in 2026 has taken a definitive turn toward the sentimental. As digital fatigue reaches an all-time high, homeowners are increasingly looking backward, seeking out soulful pieces that anchor a room in history rather than high-tech minimalism. This shift, often labeled as the New Heritage movement, prioritizes items that evoke a sense of a simpler time—think roadside diners, classic soda fountains and the sun-drenched porches of the mid-20th century.
Decor enthusiasts are moving away from mass-produced, sterile aesthetics in favor of high-contrast colors and weathered textures. Whether it's a loft in the city or a cottage in the suburbs, the goal is to create a space that feels curated over decades rather than bought in a single weekend. The most successful pieces in this category are those that blend functional utility with a bold, graphic punch, serving as both a conversation starter and a practical tool for the home.
Retro Coca-Cola Metal Thermometer, $23.39 at Hobby LobbyHobby Lobby
One standout item currently capturing the attention of budget-conscious decorators is the Retro Coca-Cola Metal Thermometer. Priced affordably at $23.39, this piece perfectly encapsulates the vintage revival. Crafted entirely from durable metal, the thermometer features a unique, irregular shape that mimics the classic contouring of mid-century signage. Its color palette is a refreshing departure from standard primary colors, utilizing a sophisticated mix of mint green, red, white, and brown. This specific combination of "Coke Red" against the muted mint green background makes it an ideal fit for modern-retro kitchens or eclectic gallery walls.

Designed with a vertical orientation, this thermometer is as practical as it is stylish. The unit includes two-hole cut-outs, making it incredibly easy to mount securely to a variety of surfaces. While you receive a quantity of one per order, its visual impact is significant enough to stand alone as a focal point. However, savvy shoppers have shared some important wisdom regarding its placement. One customer review highlights the importance of keeping this treasure indoors to preserve its vibrant finish: "I love the colors. I bought this before & hung it outside, unfortunately it didn't hold up. It faded & I regretted putting it outside. Was glad to find it again, this time it's on the inside."
By keeping this metal thermometer in a temperature-controlled environment—like a breakfast nook, a home bar, or a mudroom—you ensure that the iconic mint green and red hues remain crisp for years to come. At just under $24, it is a small investment that delivers a massive dose of character to any home.
