Before there was Yellowstone, Taylor Sheridan was already riding high on momentum thanks to his film screenplays.

We're talking Sicario and High or High Water, the latter earning him an Academy Award nomination. And as he continues to churn out acclaimed television content (The Madison, Dutton Ranch), the 56-year-old is still keeping busy with the movie biz.

That includes Paramount Pictures‘ upcoming Call of Duty movie, based on the Xbox-owned first-person shooter franchise. He'll be co-writing the highly anticipated adaptation with Lone Survivor director Peter Berg.

Plot details have been kept under wraps since it was first announced in September 2025. But it was just revealed that the film will be based specifically on the Modern Warfare games, Variety reports.

On Saturday, July 18, during a panel in New York promoting the October release of Modern Warfare 4, Berg, 62, reportedly took the stage to reveal the exciting update to fans. Last month, Paramount set a June 30, 2028 release date for the currently untitled CoD film, which is being produced in collaboration with publisher Activision, Variety also noted on Saturday.

As fans can attest, the Modern Warfare games have largely been set in the Middle East and followed Captain John Price and his Task Force 141 team’s mission to defeat terrorist Vladimir Makarov. Kicking off with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in 2007, the sub-franchise storyline marked the first CoD games to break from the franchise’s original World War II setting.

In other Sheridan news, the TV titan recently made headlines when he ripped into critics and studio executives during the June 28 episode of The Bill Simmons Podcast. “The critics are going to come after me,” Sheridan said, citing the backlash he got for how little Demi Moore had to do in Landman season 1. “I’m underutilizing [Moore], can’t write for women, all this nonsense.” Find out more here.

To make them at home, all you need is a frying pan, 1 tablespoon of olive oil and about 10 minutes from start to finish. Start by heating the olive oil over medium-high heat, then add the potstickers and cook for 6 to 8 minutes, flipping them occasionally until each side is crispy and golden brown. 

Once plated, you can dig in right away or garnish them with extras like sriracha, sliced green onions, chili crisp or a side of extra kimchi. You can also whip up a simple chili dipping sauce or opt for soy sauce, giving you plenty of room to get creative and make the dish your own.

If your work has started to feel like just another item on your to-do list, Oprah Winfrey says a simple mindset shift could help you rediscover its meaning.

During a July 17 conversation with positive psychology researcher and author Shawn Achor shared to her Instagram, Oprah reflected on what she's learned about purpose over the course of her career. Her advice wasn't about chasing a promotion or finding the perfect job. It was about reframing the work you're already doing.

"Whatever your jobs are," Oprah said, "whenever you shift the paradigm of whatever it is you're doing, whatever your job title says, whenever you shift that to service — how do I use this thing that I do in service to something other than myself? It shifts... It shifts the air around it. It shifts the frequency. It shifts the vibration." 

To illustrate her point, Oprah said nearly every profession can become more meaningful when viewed through the lens of helping others.

"A lot of people see doing hair or makeup as a job," she explained. "I see it as offering a different way for other people to see themselves and experience themselves." She offered a similar example for florists, saying they aren't simply selling flowers, they're bringing beauty into people's lives. 

For Oprah, the title on a business card matters less than the impact a person has on those around them.

"Whatever your job is, whatever it is you feel like you have been called — or not called — to do, if you shift the idea of that to, 'How do I use this thing that I'm doing as an offering in service to someone?' it changes it," she said. "It changes the way you see it, and it also changes the way the people receive it." 

It's a reminder that fulfillment at work doesn't always come from changing careers. Sometimes, Oprah suggests, it starts with changing your perspective.

Former Motown producers wrote the song "Band of Gold" in 1970 for the Invictus label. Written under the pseudonym "Edythe Wayne" due to a lawsuit with Motown, "Band of Gold" was originally offered to American singer Freda Payne, but she was unconvinced. Payne, almost 30 at the time, felt the lyrical content was much more suited to a younger woman or even a teenager.

After a lot of persuasion, Payne recorded the song. Singing backup on the song were session singers Pamela Vincent, Joyce Vincent Wilson, Telma Hopkins, and Payne's sister and future member of The Supremes, Scherrie Payne. The Funk Brothers provided instrumentals as the band on the track.

Upon release in February of the same year, the song was an instant sensation. The song was certified Gold by the RIAA, a first for Payne, and hit number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. In the United Kingdom, the song hit number one and spent six weeks there.

"Band of Gold" has been up for interpretation to a certain extent lyrically. The song depicts a recently married woman who sings about how her husband is not able to love her and leaves on their wedding night, making her no more than a "band of gold." Why the husband is unable to love her has been subject to some controversy over the years, with some attributing it to his sexuality or impotence. Certain lyrics ended up being cut in the final version.

Multiple other artists created versions of "Band of Gold" after Payne's version. Belinda Carlisle and Bonnie Tyler both recorded and released versions in 1986, but neither was particularly commercially successful. In 2005, singer Anna Nalick recorded a version that would later end up on the Desperate Housewives soundtrack.

In 2004, Rolling Stoneincluded Payne's version of "Band of Gold" on their list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time."

Gisele Bündchen is giving fans a rare look at life with her youngest son.

On Saturday, July 18, the 45-year-old supermodel shared a series of Instagram photos from a family vacation in Tahiti, where she and husband Joaquim Valente enjoyed time with their 1-year-old son, as well as Bündchen's older children, Benjamin Rein, 16, and Vivian Lake, 13, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Brady.

The carousel opened with a sweet photo of Bündchen standing in the ocean while holding her youngest son's tiny hand. Although the couple has not publicly revealed his first name, People previously reported that his middle name is River.

Other snapshots captured special sibling moments, including Benjamin holding his little brother while the family admired the scenery from a boat and Vivian wrapping him in a hug during another outing on the water.

The family's tropical adventure also included a romantic moment between Bündchen and Valente, who were photographed dancing together as a local Tahitian band played nearby. In another image, Valente held his son above the water while what appeared to be a stingray swam beneath them.

Beyond time at the beach, the family packed their vacation with outdoor adventures, including biking, enjoying fresh tropical fruit, sightseeing and stargazing.

Bündchen captioned the post simply, "What a special place! ☀️✨ Que lugar especial!"

The vacation photos come more than a year after Bündchen and Valente welcomed their first child together in February 2025. In January, Bündchen celebrated her son's first birthday by sharing another rare glimpse of him on Instagram, writing, "I can't believe it's already been over a year since you came to bless our lives. Thank you, God, for so much."

In a previous interview with Vogue France, Bündchen said becoming a mom again has changed her perspective, sharing that she's grateful to spend time at home with her children and savor "every moment" with them.

One Tribe Nation, the supergroup led by guitarist and founder Michael Sanders, left a lasting impression after releasing its fresh take on the Black Sabbath classic "The Wizard."

The Los Angeles-based Afro-Latino-Funk-Rock band, composed of Grammy-winning Living Colour frontman Corey Glover, former Whitesnake bassist Uriah Duffy, two-time Grammy Award-winning percussionist Christian Pepin, veteran keyboardist Dave Schulz of Berlin and Goo Goo Dolls, versatile drummer David Cowan and Sanders, delivered an electrifying live performance as a tribute to the heavy metal icons and the enduring legacy of the late Ozzy Osbourne.

In an Instagram update, the supergroup announced the release of the full video of the 1970 classic on YouTube, recorded live at the JAMM Night David Z Foundation Benefit Concert on Jan. 23.

Performing in front of 5,000 people, One Tribe Nation didn't just recreate the timeless track but also showcased its signature high-energy, genre-blending sound, incorporating elements of soul, jazz, funk and Afro-Latin music.

According to the band, whose members are "huge fans" of Black Sabbath, they were impressed by how musically advanced the group was.

“You were talking about how progressive it was,” Glover told The Big Takeover. “I knew a lot of folks who weren’t particularly fans of that genre of music, but jazz-fusion guys, and thought that stuff was really sort of where it was at, because they were taking it to other places, other time signatures, and were really on the ball with that. That was my interest in the band because the people around me who I looked to, to find out what’s really interesting in music, would say, ‘Sabbath is doing this odd-time-signature thing, it sounds like Mahavishnu, you need to check it out.’”

Moreover, the lead singer was also grateful to his One Tribe Nation bandmates and Paulie Z, founder and CEO of the David Z Foundation, for giving him the opportunity to perform "The Wizard."

“Now, as far as doing this song, I attempted to do it once, years ago, and was really, really bad at it,” he shared, adding, “Fortunately, I had a second chance, and hopefully it’s a little bit better. They’ve been very accommodating. I gotta say, Mike has been very, very accommodating for me, and has given me a great opportunity, and I’m really thankful for him and Paulie. I’ve done some things with Paulie Z on a charitable nature, and we actually won some awards for it. I am grateful for the people who have faith in me.”

The release of the Black Sabbath cover served as a sneak peek at the supergroup's upcoming album, Estado Dorado.

Scheduled for release sometime this year, the third studio album will feature a mix of original tracks and reimagined covers of Rare Earth's "I Just Want to Celebrate" and Black Sabbath's "The Wizard."

While Ronnie Wood has been busy in recent years as a member of the famous rock band, the Rolling Stones, he hasn't been too focused on his solo work. But finally, after over 15 years, he returned to the stage to perform as a solo artist again.

Earlier this year, Wood announced that he would be performing solo for the first time since 2010 in support of his new release chronicling his impactful career, Fearless: Anthology 1965-2025.

Initially, he just announced his appearances at the Luca Summer Festival in Italy on July 17 and his co-headlining gig with Van Morrison on July 16. Both concerts were significant, as they would be his big return to the stage as a solo artist. But at the time, they weren't officially part of a tour.

But not even a month later, Wood announced another concert. He revealed a September solo gig in Amsterdam, and the show sold out in seconds. The popularity led Wood to add another Amsterdam show, and over the next few months, he continued to add more stops on what would shape up to be his Europe Fearless tour.

The highly anticipated tour includes stops in England, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, France and Portugal.

Wood shared a message with fans on Instagram ahead of his first big performance in July that kicked off the tour. He said, "I'm really looking forward to touring this summer all over Europe for my Fearless tour, playing some songs that I've always wanted to play."

"I've gathered my favorite solo band together, and we're playing some cross-section of music through the years," he went on, specifically mentioning that music from his bands Faces and the Rolling Stones would be included.

The early performances in July went well, and Wood impressed fans as he played songs he hasn't performed in years to an excited crowd. The successful show only made the hype for his later stops even stronger.

Wood's next show will be in London, England, on Aug. 21. The tour will continue through mid-September, with the last stop in Lisbon, Portugal, on Sept. 14.

Before his 2026 string of dates, the last time Wood performed a full solo concert of his own material was in 2010. He toured to promote his seventh studio album, I Feel Like Playing, which came out the same year.

In between then and now, he has appeared on stage in other forms. In 2019, Wood released the Chuck Berry tribute live album, Mad Lad: A Live Tribute to Chuck Berry, which he toured with his backing band, the Wild Five.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has released an updated interactive map tracking confirmed cases of cyclospora, a parasite that causes the intestinal illness cyclosporiasis, after an increase in cases reported across the United States.

As of July 13, the CDC has received reports of 1,645 laboratory-confirmed domestically acquired cases spanning 34 states. The agency said 141 people have been hospitalized, and no deaths have been reported. The agency has received a total of 6,700 confirmed or probable cases.

Because of the increase in illnesses, the CDC says it will publish surveillance updates more frequently than in previous years while federal and state health officials continue investigating multiple outbreaks.

The agency noted that the number of cases shown on its map is likely lower than the true number of illnesses. That's because some people recover without seeking medical care or aren't tested for cyclospora, while state health departments may also have more current data than what's reflected in the CDC's national surveillance system.

Cyclospora cases typically increase during the May through August season, but officials say multiple jurisdictions are reporting more illnesses than they saw during the same period in 2025. The CDC also expects case counts to continue climbing because there is approximately a six-week reporting lag between when someone becomes ill and when cases are reported to the agency.

The CDC and the Food and Drug Administration are currently investigating several outbreaks to determine whether illnesses are linked to a common food source. One ongoing investigation has linked shredded iceberg lettuce served at Taco Bell restaurants in five states to a multistate outbreak, though officials say other investigations remain ongoing.

Cyclosporiasis is caused by the microscopic parasite Cyclospora cayetanensis. Symptoms can include watery diarrhea, stomach cramps, nausea, loss of appetite and weight loss. Anyone experiencing symptoms should contact a healthcare provider, as the illness can be diagnosed and treated.

Twenty years after forming, Oh, Sleeper is finally ready to usher in a new era.

The Texas metalcore band has announced that it has officially completed work on its first new studio album since 2019's Bloodied/Unbowed. While a title and release date have yet to be revealed, the group confirmed that the record is finished, with more details expected soon.

"The new Oh Sleeper record is mastered and turned in," singer Shane Blay shared on his Instagram story.

The announcement marks the end of a lengthy creative process that fans have been following for months.

Back in January, the band revealed it had entered the studio with longtime producer Andreas Magnusson, who has worked on every one of Oh, Sleeper's full-length albums. At the time, few details were shared beyond a studio photo and the promise that new music was on the way. Now, the band has confirmed the sessions are complete.

Formed in 2006 in Fort Worth, Texas, Oh, Sleeper quickly became one of the defining acts of the late-2000s metalcore scene. Fronted by Micah Kinard alongside guitarist and clean vocalist Shane Blay, the band built a loyal following with albums including When I Am God, Son of the Morning, and Children of Fire, earning praise for its combination of crushing breakdowns, soaring melodies, and thought-provoking lyrics.

"We write music for people who want to dive deeper and actually read-into and discover their own connection to the songs," Kinard said in a 2009 interview. "Everything that is written lyrically for this band is showered in prayer and I believe that God has the power to reach people through it… if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be in this band."

After releasing Children of Fire in 2011, the band slowed its activity before entering a hiatus as members pursued other projects, including Blay's work with Wovenwar. Oh, Sleeper reunited several years later and returned triumphantly with Bloodied/Unbowed in 2019, ending an eight-year gap between studio albums and reminding fans why the band had remained such a respected name in modern metalcore.

The forthcoming record will be the band's fifth full-length album and its first collection of new material in seven years. Although the group has yet to reveal song titles or artwork, anticipation has continued to build throughout 2026 as updates from the studio hinted that another chapter was nearing completion.

For longtime fans, the announcement is welcome news. Over the past two decades, Oh, Sleeper has developed a reputation for taking its time between releases while refusing to compromise its sound. With the album now complete, listeners won’t have to wait much longer to hear what the band has created.

Twenty years after its formation, Oh, Sleeper is once again proving that patience can pay off and that one of metalcore’s most beloved bands still has plenty left to say.

It didn't take much for a song to get banned from the radio during the 1960s. "Louie Louie" by The Kingsmen was investigated by the FBI over suspicions that the lyrics were obscene (they weren't). "Street Fighting Man" by the Rolling Stones was deemed too "subversive." And Small Faces' 1967 classic, "Itchycoo Park," was banned, too...for yet another ridiculous reason.

Written by Ronnie Lane and Steve Marriott, "Itchycoo Park" was the fifth Top 10 hit in the U.K. for Small Faces and their only Top 40 hit in the U.S., peaking at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100 in January of 1968. By today's standards, it's a fairly innocent tune about skipping school to hang out at the park:

"Over bridge of sighs / To rest my eyes in shades of green / Under dreamin' spires / To Itchycoo Park, that's where I've been"

The next part is what got radio stations all riled up:

"What did you do there? / I got high / What did you feel there? / Well, I cried / But why the tears there? / I'll tell you why"

In an interview with Creemin 1975, Marriott claimed the lyrics weren't really about drugs at all.

"The thing about 'Itchycoo Park' was that the era was wrong, and the word 'high' freaked everybody out," he said. "All the radio stations. But that song was real. Ronnie Lane and I used to go to a park called Itchycoo Park. I swear to God. We used to bunk off school and groove there. We got high, but we didn't smoke. We just got high from not going to school."

However, as music journalist Andrew Hickey revealed on the famed 500 Songs podcast, Marriott did admit at one point that substances at least played a role in the writing of "Itchycoo Park," much of which took place in a car on the way to the airport.

“We were in Ireland and speeding our brains out writing this song," Marriott said. "Ronnie had the first verse already written down but he had no melody line, so what we did was stick the verse to the melody line of ‘God Be In My Head’ with a few chord variations. We were going towards Dublin airport and I thought of the middle eight…We wrote the second verse collectively, and the chorus speaks for itself.”

It was actually Lane who wrote most of "Itchycoo Park," according to Hickey, and he apparently wasn't incredibly fond of Marriott's lyrical input.

“It wasn’t me that came up with ‘I feel inclined to blow my mind, get hung up, feed the ducks with a bun/They all come out to groove about, be nice and have fun in the sun.' That wasn’t me, but the more poetic stuff was.”

Despite the initial ban on "Itchycoo Park" (which was lifted after the band gave the BBC their "high from not going to school" explanation), the song was a major hit for Small Faces. Nearly a decade after its release, in 1976, readers of the British music magazine NME ranked "Itchycoo Park" at #62 on a list of the Top 100 Singles of All Time.

As for where the term "Itchycoo" came from, Lane said the park named in the song was full of stinging nettles, while Marriott said they got stung by wasps there.

Either way, pretty itchy.

Noah Kahan fans were left disappointed Saturday after the singer canceled his highly anticipated concert at New York City's Citi Field—and, unlike many weather-related postponements, no rescheduled date was announced.

The last-minute decision came after an afternoon of mixed messages. Around 2 p.m., Kahan's team told ticket holders they were "continuing to closely monitor the inclement weather" and were "planning to proceed with tonight's show at Citi Field with revised set times."

The update said doors would open later than planned, support performances had been canceled, and fans were asked not to arrive early as organizers continued monitoring the forecast.

Just a few hours later, those plans changed. Around 6 p.m., Kahan's team announced the concert had officially been canceled "due to inclement weather."

"This was a very difficult decision to make, but the first priority is always to keep everyone safe," the statement read. Rather than announcing a makeup date, organizers said ticket holders would receive refunds through their original point of purchase, with Ticketmaster purchases refunded automatically.

Kahan also shared the announcement on his Instagram Story, writing, "Exhausted every option to make this happen... love you guys."

While many fans agreed safety had to come first, others said they were frustrated that no effort was made to reschedule the performance for another date, especially for those who had traveled to New York specifically for the concert.

“People aren’t mad at Noah. People are mad because they cancelled it an hour before doors, people aren’t getting refunded for parking and travel, and there’s no real explanation or rescheduling or compensation ,” one shared on Threads.

Another wrote, “So we don’t get a reschedule date and thousands are put out and Noah HQ are plugging the next night merch on insta?! As if nothing has happened. Talk about tone deaf. That sucks."

“NGL crying in my bug shirt and my braids cause it didn’t actually dawn on me at any point today it would be straight up canceled instead of rescheduled,” said a third.

Things on X got a little more heated, with one posting, "wasted everyone’s days and not even a rescheduled show? Shame on @NoahKahan."

There is somewhat of a silver lining, though. Kahan’s team announced that for fans hoping to get their hands on merch, it will be available tomorrow starting at 9 am at the stadium.

Kahan wasn't the only artist forced to alter weekend plans because of severe weather. Thomas Rhettand Niall Horan also postponed their co-headlining concert in Hershey, Pennsylvania. However, the pair were able to move the show to the following night, allowing existing tickets to remain valid while also offering refunds for fans who could no longer attend.

Earlier this week, Disney+ and Hulu shared with PEOPLE that they’ll be launching their Disney+ Hulu Throwbacks Podcast. The three-episode lineup will stream on both platforms starting August 6. And guess who’s hosting? Good Trouble stars Cierra Ramirez and Sherry Cola. Although it’s been two years since we’ve seen the actresses on screen together as Mariana Adams-Foster and Alice Kwan, this is just the reunion we’ve been waiting for. 

The first episode will revisit Camp Rock, with interviews from Maria Canals-Barrera and Liamani Segura. The episode comes just in time for Camp Rock 3, which stars Sherry Cola and premieres on Disney Channel on August 13, with an August 14 release on Disney+.

In episode two, the duo will strut like they mean it in a Cheetah Girls-centered episode. This special episode airs on August 13 and will feature Raven-Symoné, where we can expect to hear all about The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen. Raven-Symoné, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton and Sabrina Bryan will reprise their roles in the new film, as it’ll follow a new generation of Cheetah Girls. Disney announced the casting for the film last week, starring Leah Sava’ Jeffries as Faith, Carmen Sanchez as Dior, Kaileen Chang as Ruby and Sophie Lennon as Brooklyn.

What time is it? Summertime! Episode three, airing August 20, will be all about High School Musical, with guest appearances from Monique Coleman and KayCee Stroh. Earlier this year, the cast celebrated the film’s 20th anniversary. 

The podcast comes just months after the success of the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special and it's a great addition to the Disney+ Hulu Throwbacks Summer of Nostalgia event, which features a long list of 90s and 2000s Disney shows and movies to watch. 

Masters champ Rory McIlroy isn't afraid to speak his mind. The pro had plenty to say about fellow golfer Bryson DeChambeau’s two-stroke penalty during the second round of The Open for “improving the area of his intended swing.” 

DeChambeau was told about the penalty after the round… and what ensued sparked a chain of controversial events. The golfer and The R&A returned to the fifth hole (the site of the penalty) for approximately 15 minutes, according to the PGA. The result? DeChambeau’s plea didn’t have the desired effect, and his penalty stood.

Executive Director of Governance for The R&A, Grant Moir, explained, “What the prohibited action here is that the player mustn’t move, bend, or break any growing or attached neutral object. A player is allowed to fairly take their stance by taking reasonable actions to get to the ball and take a stance.” 

Moir continued, “But when doing so, the player must take the least intrusive course of action to deal with the particular situation and is not entitled to a normal stance or swing.” 

But the story doesn’t end there. McIlroy spoke out about the incident to the press, saying, “Look, I won’t pretend to be up here and defend Bryson, and I’m not particularly fond of him. I think a lot of it’s performative. I think a lot of it’s for attention. And yeah, to hold the tournament hostage like that and have all of us, volunteers, players, everyone waiting on him to depart. I don’t feel like it was a great look.”

He explained, “So I was watching it live. I was up in the player’s lounge watching it with a few other players, and as soon as he made the step into the ball, we all sort of looked at each other and were like, that didn’t seem right. And then when I heard that he was, you know, he was called in by the rules officials, I think we all, it was pretty obvious for why. Yeah, I mean, I think, you know, I think there’s no doubt that he improved the line of his back swing. So, you know, and again, it’s like, whether it was careless or whether it was intentional. I don’t think it matters. Hopefully, it was careless. But I think the two-shot penalty was justified for sure.”

After making this statement, the backlash flipped from Bryson to Rory. When Golf Magazine posted a clip on Instagram from the interview, fans commented, “While he may be right, very unprofessional to talk about another player like that. Just say you thought the officials were right on the call and move on”, “Bryson lives rent-free in Rory and Chamblee’s head” and, “I really like Rory, but that comment about not “being fond” of him shows zero class.” 

Even though critics clapped back against McIlroy, some supported him. On a recent Reddit post, one commenter wrote, “I love how Rory has never been shy of giving his opinion when he has one. So many stars are more concerned with not offending anyone,” while another responded, “I like Rory more and more every day.”

Fifty-five years ago, rock icon Rod Stewart released "Maggie May"—a song that dominated the Billboard Hot 100 and became a lasting heartbreak anthem for decades.

Released on July 17, 1971, as the B-side single to "Reason to Believe" from his landmark third studio album Every Picture Tells a Story, "Maggie May" became a breakthrough hit. Although the song wasn't originally intended to be the album's lead single, rock radio disc jockeys quickly grew a liking to it, prompting more time on the turntable and driving listener demand.

By October 2, the single had climbed the Hot 100 chart, peaking at No. 1 where it would begin its five-week consecutive reign. The track marked Stewart's first chart-topping single as a solo artist, giving him his first taste of mainstream success outside of Faces.

Aside from its undeniable chart success, "Maggie May" also achieved massive commercial triumph. Since its release, it has been certified 2× Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling over 2 million copies in the U.S. alone.

Produced by Stewart through Mercury Records, "Maggie May" is recognizable for its unpolished, stripped-down arrangement. The track heavily relies on raw acoustics to create an intimate and organic atmosphere, completely void of reverb effects. Paired with the song's gut-wrenching lyrics, the single's bone-dry production makes for an undeniably personal listening experience.

"Maggie May" was co-written by Stewart and guitarist Martin Quittenton. The track recounts an autobiographical moment from Stewart's life when he lost his virginity to an alluring older woman at the 1961 Beaulieu Jazz Festival. The lyrics explore the conflicting nature of the narrator's feelings toward his partner, realizing he is being used even though he remains infatuated with her.

Stewart crafts poignant lyrics like "You stole my heart and that's what really hurts" and "You stole my soul and that's a pain I can do without" to express the heartbreak that followed the love affair, targeting themes of regret and vulnerability. Its heartbreaking lyrics and acoustic elements resonated deeply with audiences, cementing it as a definitive breakup anthem.

Over five decades after its release, "Maggie May" continues to be recognized as an ultimate heartbreak classic. The song has persevered long into the digital era, with its stream count adding up to over 429 million on Spotify alone.

Qdoba: From 'Zuma' To a Town Near You

Zuma Fresh Mexican Grillwas the original name of Qdoba when it first opened in Denver, Colorado in 1995. After a pair of trademark head-butting wars prompted name changes to Z-Teca and eventually Qdoba, the once-local burrito shop has skyrocketed into one of North America's largest Mexican fast-casual chains with more than 865 restaurants and plans to nearly double its footprint in the coming years.

Qdoba is the thorn in Chipotle's side with no plans on becoming any less prickly for the corporate powerhouse that always seems to have a line out the door.

Qdoba has more of a cult following than you'd expect from a chain competing against Chipotle, which seems to have a storefront in every other shopping center.

In fact, some fans on Reddit are switching teams, claiming "customer service is better at Qdoba" and "Qdoba is awesome, I love their cholula chicken and you don't have to pay for queso. I almost never have any issues with them."

Flavor Flav, the iconic hip-hop legend and proud girl dad who stood courtside throughout the Milano Cortino Winter Games, kept true to his promise and hosted a massive fest for the country's Olympic and Paralympic women's teams in Las Vegas. SHE Weekend served as a fitting tribute, worthy of what it means to be an American, celebrating 250 years with gold-medal-winning national pride, shutting down the Strip for a huge parade in honor of our winning women's teams.

Olympic champions, including Alysa Liu and Amber Glenn, were hosted at the Friday Night Backstreet Boys show at the '90s boy band's residency at the Sphere with Flav. Other stars in attendance included pop star Ed Sheeran and fellow famed female sports athlete Ilona Maher. During the show, AJ McLean and Kevin Richardson, waving an American flag, gave the women of Team USA their flowers.

Parade Magazine was on hand to capture the moment Team USA got the home-team welcome they deserved, which made for such a moving moment when the entire Sphere erupted in worthy homecoming cheers for the girls.

McLean introduced them: "The Ladies Winter Olympics team is here tonight," he said to a roaring crowd, regaling attendees with the story of how Flavor Flav reached out to him to get them to the show as part of SHE Weekend. "He literally FaceTimed me one random afternoon. And he has been a massive, massive supporter of these ladies. And he asked me—he said, 'AJ, is it possible that we can have these ladies come and see the show?' I said, 'Hell yeah!'" The ladies were also surprised with a special meet and greet with the entire band before they took the stage.

Flavor Flav is such a national treasure for the work he and his team put into SHE Weekend. The event kicked off on July 16 with a parade down the Strip and the keys to the city in honor of the female athletes who represent the United States on the global stage in sports. Through the initiative, Las Vegas hosted over 100 athletes of this past year’s winter games, including the women’s hockey team and USA ice skating.

All weekend long, the medal winners were treated to a series of public and private events, dinners, shows, programming, fun parties, and community moments in Las Vegas to remind them how proud the country is of them.

Brenda Lee was only 15 years old when she laid down the vocal recording for her classic song, “I’m Sorry.” But, despite her tender age, the tune went on to become a major hit. 

Though Lee, affectionately known as “Little Miss Dynamite,” eventually found success with the song, her label, Decca Records, initially held off on releasing the track with worry that she was far too young to convincingly deliver a ballad that dealt with such a mature subject matter.  

Written by Dub Allbritten and Ronnie Self and appearing on the A-side of the No. 6 Billboard Hot 100 hit, “That’s All You Gotta Do,” “I’m Sorry” finds the narrator reflecting on the loss of a romance and pleading for forgiveness from a lover whom she’s wronged. In the song, Lee sings of regret while admitting that she was at fault in the matter, but notes she was too “blind” to see the love that was in front of her.

Sonically, “I’m Sorry” included backup harmony from the Anita Kerr Sisters and featured a sweeping, pop-orchestral arrangement that showcased one of the first examples of Owen Bradley’s “Nashville Sound” production style, according to American Songwriter. 

Lee’s vulnerable and raw take on the “I’m Sorry” lyrics provided listeners with enough emotional depth that the ballad went on to become the legendary singer’s signature tune. “I’m Sorry” became her first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, where it stayed for three consecutive weeks beginning on July 18, 1960. Additionally, “I’m Sorry” charted for a long-running 23 weeks, becoming one of the defining tracks of the early ‘70s. 

“I’m Sorry” also reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and enjoyed international success, charting in Belgium, Canada, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Germany, and the U.K. Though the beloved tune didn’t appear on any country chart, the song was eventually embraced by the genre, becoming a fixture within various country "oldies" programs. 

Over the years, Lee, 80, has scored even more success with the song. In 1999, the classic was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. In 2024, the song was also ranked at No. 168 on Rolling Stone’s “200 Greatest Country Songs of All Time.”
