U.S. Government Issues New Travel Warning for Popular European Destination

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 2:10pm

Known for its Mediterranean vives and stunning turquoise beaches, Cyprus was becoming a popular destination for U.S. travelers looking to experience the island's natural wonders and rich culture. However, the escalating conflicts in Iran have prompted the U.S. Department of State (DOS) to issue a Level 3 Travel Advisory, warning American tourists to avoid the area.

In fact, the government has told non-essential American employees in the region to pack up their families and evacuate the region as quickly as possible over safety concerns, highlighting the threat to the region. Here's what you need to know.

On Mar. 3, 2026, the U.S. Department of State issued a Level 3: Reconsider Travel Advisory for Cyprus due to the "threat of armed conflict and limited U.S. embassy assistance for Americans in the Turkish Cypriot Administered area."

The advisory further explained that increased violence from Iranian forces after a U.S. involved bombing in Iran was to blame for the issue. On Feb. 28, 2026, U.S. and Israeli forces worked together to bomb the country of Iran, killing it's leader and several top politicians in the process. Then, on March 2, Iran retaliated by hitting a British Sovereign Base Area in Cyprus, increasing the risk to those in the region.

Those Currently in Cyprus Are Being Directed to Leave

According to the statement, the DOS told U.S. government employees to gather their families and leave the region at once just one day after the drone strike. "Enter and exit the island of Cyprus only at Larnaca and Paphos airports or at the seaports of Limassol, Larnaca, and Paphos," the statement continues. "The Republic of Cyprus does not consider entry or exit via Ercan Airport or by a seaport in the north to be legal. U.S. citizens who leave the island from Ercan could face challenges returning to the Republic of Cyprus in the future."

Although, with ongoing travel disruptions in the region, exiting the country quickly and safely could prove dangerous. Those looking for non-emergency help are being directed to:

Although, response time may be slow due to ongoing evacuations.

Cyprus Has Become a Popular Getaway

The country is home to some truly sunning landscapes, including mountain ranges and gorgeous coastlines. That is part of the reason that so many people have been flocking to the area in recent years.

And while it once promised a unique European experience for travelers who wanted some of what you'd get in the Greece without the crowds, the secret has gotten out in recent years and more and more people have put the region on their must-see lists. However, recent conflicts in the Middle East will likely make visiting a bit tricky for a while, which will likely have devastating impacts on the local tourism industry.

As someone who has always wanted to travel to Cyprus to enjoy some of the coastal views in the area, I hope that the military escalation in the region will end quickly and without further incident, both for those who rely on visitors to survive, and those who simply want to remain out of the deadly conflict.

Netflix’s ‘Age of Attraction’ Reality Show Teases Shocking Age Gap Reveals

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 2:07pm

Netflix continues to roll out more dating reality TV shows. Age of Attraction cast singles with a wide age range. However, people won't find out each other's age until after they commit to that person.

It'll test people's bias when it comes to age, the same way Love Is Blind tests how much people's physical attraction matters to them. The original hit has mixed results, but usually the physical is very important for a successful marriage. Will the same be said for age? The trailer teases the participants' journeys.

Nick Viall of The Bachelor and his wife, Natalie JoyViall, host the social experiment. The Viall Files hosts' relationship was criticized because of their 18-year age gap. Viall is 44, and Joy is 25. Joy told Howie Mandel that she saw his Instagram picture and said he was "unreal" when she was 21, and that started their flirtation. They got married in 2024 and had their first baby the same year. The hosts are currently expecting twins.

The trailer shows some of the daters using other clues to figure out each other's ages. "You don't know who the Spice Girls are?" a man asked a woman on the beach. "I couldn't name one," she responded.

Mommy issues are also a topic of conversation. "If you're not as hot as my mom, I'm not going to marry you," one man said in his interview. There is a scene of him talking to an older woman who shares his features. "Do you have mommy issues?" she asked him.

Couples will sit down to reveal their ages to each other after they commit. "Get your seatbelt on," one man told a woman. A woman's jaw dropped looking at someone else. "I didn't even know there were 60 year olds here," a young man told the camera."

The new social experiment premieres on Wednesday, March 11. Episode six and seven drop on March 8, and the final episode airs on March 25 on Netflix.

1958 Hit About a Real-Life Murder Hit No. 1 67 Years Ago Today

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 2:07pm

Lloyd Price’s 1958 hit “Stagger Lee” tells a dark story, but the upbeat New Orleans R&B track became one of the most memorable rock and roll hits of its era. The song climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on March 4, 1959, exactly 67 years ago today.

The song’s origins stretch back decades before Price recorded it. “Stagger Lee,” also known as “Stagolee” and several other variations, is based on the real-life killing of William “Billy” Lyons by Lee “Stag” Shelton in St. Louis on Christmas night in 1895. According to historical accounts, the two men were drinking in a saloon when Lyons reportedly took Shelton’s Stetson hat during an argument. Shelton responded by shooting him, reclaiming his hat and leaving the scene.

The crime quickly entered American folklore and spread through early work songs and folk traditions along the Mississippi River. Versions of the story appeared in print as early as 1911, and the song was first recorded in 1923 as “Stack O’ Lee Blues.” Over the years, countless variations emerged under titles like “Stack-a-Lee,” “Stackolee,” and “Stagger Lee.”

Price’s version, recorded in New York City in September 1958, reimagined the old folk story as a sharp, upbeat rock and roll record. Released on ABC-Paramount, the single topped both the Billboard Hot 100 and the R&B chart in early 1959. The singer also recorded a toned-down version for television appearances, changing the shooting in the lyrics to a simple argument so it could be performed on American Bandstand.

Music historian Fred Bronson notes in "The Billboard Book of No. 1 Hits: The Inside Story Behind the Top of the Charts" that Price adapted the older folk song “Stack-O-Lee,” which had previously been recorded by New Orleans pianist Archibald in 1950. Price and his business partner Harold Logan reshaped the tune into a tighter rock and roll arrangement that helped turn the long-running folk story into a chart-topping pop hit.

“Stagger Lee” became one of Price’s signature songs and was later ranked No. 456 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. The singer followed it with another major hit, “Personality,” which helped earn him the nickname “Mr. Personality.”

RELATED: 26 Years Ago Today, Buddy Holly’s Long-Lost Glasses Were Found 21 Years After Deadly Plane Crash

The song has remained a staple of American music for decades, with versions recorded by artists including Fats Domino, Ike and Tina Turner, Wilson Pickett, the Grateful Dead, Dr. John and Bob Dylan.

The track also appeared in popular culture years later in the 1988 coming-of-age film Shag, which was set in the early 1960s. In the movie’s climactic dance contest scene, Annabeth Gish’s character Pudge and Scott Coffey’s Chip perform the regional dance the shag to “Stagger Lee,” ultimately winning the competition.

Price, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, died in 2021 at the age of 88, but “Stagger Lee” remains one of the most recognizable songs from the early days of rock and roll.

HGTV Star Jasmine Roth Calls on Fans to Recall a Delicious Slice of Childhood Nostalgia

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 2:05pm

One of the most fun parts of following your favorite HGTV stars on social is getting that bonus content you never see on TV. Sure, you'll pick up a styling tip or maybe a genius storage idea, but you also get the real-life, off-camera moments. The school drop-offs and random late-night thoughts that spiral into core memories.

For example, Jasmine Roth recently unlocked a wave of childhood nostalgia that will absolutely hit if you grew up within biking distance of your local Pizza Hut. She brought up a promotion she remembered so vividly … except her husband had zero recollection of it. Like, a fully blank stare. At that point, she was half-convinced she'd imagined the whole thing.

"Alright, I need you guys to weigh in," said Roth in her Instagram video, clearly filmed while she was hanging out at home. "Millennials, where are you at? Do you guys remember Book It?"

View this post on Instagram

She's referring to the classic Pizza Hut campaign in which kids read a certain number of books to get a free personal pan pizza. However, despite being the same age, her husband Brett has no recollection of this childhood phenomenon.

"It was a reading challenge," Roth continues. "Anybody? Do you guys remember this?"

Per the Pizza Hut website, Book It! is a reading incentive program for kids in Pre-K through sixth grade. Over the summer, parents can set a reading goal for their kids and track the number of books they read through an app. (Very different from the analog way we did this back in the '90s.) When the kid hits their goal, they get a reward: a free personal pan pizza (with a max of five earned rewards—sorry, voracious readers).

How Did Fans Respond?

Roth's Instagram following was not about to leave her hanging. And, sorry Brett, but you're in the minority with not knowing about this epic program.

"Yes, this was a huge deal and I'm even Gen X," said a fan in the comments.

Another person recalled how much their own family loved earning free pizza once upon a time.

"Absolutely, my kids loved it," they wrote. "Many a Pizza Hut personal pan pizza for my boys in the late 90s and early 2000s!"

The Book It! program is available year-round to incentivize reading for students, but the parent-led option is expected to return this summer. So get those books (and your appetite) ready.

1997 Classic, Widely Considered Greatest Film Ever Made, Won 11 Academy Awards

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 2:04pm

The 2026 award season is in full swing, and reflecting on past monumental victories is a rite of passage. With Sinners breaking the record for the most nominated film in Oscar history, there is a chance it could overtake the current record for total wins. One of the biggest sweeps in history occurred in 1998, when James Cameron's 1997 classic Titanic dominated the Academy Awards.

Originally nominated for 14 Oscars, the film walked away from the 70th Academy Awards ceremony with 11 trophies. This achievement marked only the second time in history a film had won that many—tying the record set by the 1959 epic Ben-Hur.

The film follows Jack Dawson, a lower-class artist, as he boards the massive ocean liner Titanic for its ill-fated maiden voyage across the Atlantic. While on board, Jack meets first-class socialite Rose DeWitt Bukater. The two form a transformational bond over the course of the film's three-hour and 14-minute runtime.

Titanic stunned audiences with its stunning visuals and thematic exploration of class, identity and romance. Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio entranced audiences with their undeniable chemistry, solidifying the young stars as Hollywood royalty.

Following its release, the film conquered the box office, becoming the first movie ever to gross over $1 billion worldwide—a record it held for 12 years. The insurmountable levels of viewership kept the film at the top of the box office for 15 consecutive weeks, attesting to its massive audience appeal.

Aside from its unmatched victory at the 1998 Academy Awards, Cameron's film continued to dominate the circuit. Titanic went on to win four Golden Globes, five Grammy Awards, two Critics' Choice Awards and eight Golden Satellite Awards, making it one of the most decorated films in cinema history.

Five Below's Stylish $5 Turkish Throw Is a Game Changer for Home Decor

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 1:55pm

In the world of interior design, the difference between a house and a home often comes down to the tactile layers added to a room. Soft furnishings serve as the connective tissue of a space, softening the hard lines of furniture and providing an immediate sense of coziness and warmth. Designers frequently look toward global textiles to introduce a sense of worldliness and history into modern apartments. By incorporating fabrics with heritage-inspired weaves, homeowners can create a sanctuary that feels lived-in, curated, and deeply personal.

True comfort is found in the intersection of breathability and style. Choosing materials that feel good against the skin while looking sophisticated on the back of a sofa is a hallmark of a well-designed interior. Whether draped over a favorite reading chair or folded at the foot of a bed, a well-chosen textile serves as a visual anchor, inviting relaxation. When we focus on high-quality fibers and classic patterns, we move away from disposable decor and toward a more intentional, aesthetic way of living that celebrates the simple beauty of a perfectly placed accent.

Martha Stewart Covered Her Hardwood Floors With Carpeting

On The Martha Stewart Blog and Instagram, Martha Stewart recently shared an inside look at her most recent (and divisive) home improvement project: covering up her hardwood floors with wall-to-wall carpeting.

"It was time to change and repair the carpeting in some of the rooms of my home," Stewart wrote on her personal Instagram. "The first room to be addressed was my Winter House Sunken Green Parlor."

Then, on her blog and its corresponding Instagram page, Stewart shared more details and photos of the project, for which she partnered up with Westport Carpet and Rugs. The room in question is the Sunken Green Parlor in the Winter House, one of several buildings located in Cantitoe Corners, Stewart's estate in Bedford, N.Y.

There, the team removed Stewart's old carpeting, and installed new padding and sisal carpeting over the room's entire floor. They even used a portable carpet-binding machine to serge the edges of the carpet on the spot.

View this post on Instagram People Are Angry That Martha Stewart Covered Her Hardwood Floors

To many, covering natural hardwood with carpeting is a cardinal sin of home design.

"Omg Martha the floors are gorgeous. Why are you covering?" one person commented on Instagram. "Those hardwood floors are gorgeous 😍 no need for full carpet an area rug would look and feel so much better," someone else added.

"I'd rather see the wood flooring," another commenter wrote. "How could you cover those beautiful hardwood floors?" someone else commented.

In response to all the shocked comments, one commenter was "glad to find out I’m not the only one silently screaming in their head 😂." However another wondered, "Why is everyone so judgmental? It’s her house."

View this post on Instagram Why Did Martha Stewart Cover Her Hardwood Floors With Carpeting?

Unsurprisingly, Martha Stewart had a few solid defenses as to why she installed carpet over her wood floor.

"I have lots of traffic in my home," she explained in an Instagram comment, adding that she has five dogs, four cats, and "friends with high heels that puncture even the hardest wood!"

She also noted that she is responsible for "the safety and upkeep of every house and structure on the property," and carpeting helps with that.

"I walk barefoot and sisal is fabulous on the feet and very easy to vacuum and keep clean," she added. "Once it is down it totally freshens the space and gives it a nice, clean look."

I’ve Covered This Show for Years—Now 'Jersey Shore' Is Saying Goodbye

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 1:45pm

After covering this franchise for years — from duck phone drama to diaper duty — I can honestly say this one hits different.

MTV just announced that Jersey Shore: Family Vacation will officially conclude its run with a final 18-episode season premiering Thursday, May 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. This is the end of an era, especially if you’ve been fist-pumping since 2009 like me.

The farewell season promises to go bigger than ever, celebrating the milestones that transformed a summer share house experiment into a full-blown pop culture phenomenon. Since the original Jersey Shore debuted in 2009, the franchise has spanned nearly 300 episodes and multiple spinoffs, evolving alongside its cast (and its fans).

Now, the roommates are inviting viewers on one last ride.

'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation's Final Season Is Packed With Milestones

If you’ve followed this crew as long as I have, you know life doesn’t slow down for the Shore family — it just gets louder.

This final chapter includes everything from pregnancies and baby showers to weddings, birthdays and even "ab reveals." The chaos may look a little more grown-up these days, but the unfiltered chemistry that defined an era of reality TV is still very much intact.

Angelina Pivarnick embarks on what’s being described as a full emotional roller coaster, complete with extreme highs, devastating lows and nonstop twists that only she can deliver. Deena Cortese steps confidently into her PTA president era, organizing charity events and doubling down on giving back to her community while continuing to show up for her friends.

Meanwhile, DJ Pauly DelVecchio keeps building his empire with the launch of his own record label, all while his relationship with Nikki Hall continues to blossom.

Jenni "JWoww" Farley embraces turning 40 by stepping fully into director mode, helming her second film and, in true "JWoww" fashion, dropping truth bombs and sparking conversations no one else wants to touch.

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino celebrates a remarkable 10 years of sobriety, brings his abs out of retirement as he recommits to fitness and opens a rehab center — a full-circle moment longtime viewers won’t miss.

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzicontinues juggling cheer mom life, business ventures and her role as the life of the party, proving she can do it all.

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is fully back in the mix, joining group trips and opening up about his struggles as he works toward growth.

And in what might be the most milestone-packed stretch of all, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola fits a pregnancy, childbirth and a wedding into just eight months.

As for Vinny Guadagnino, he’s taking his stand-up career to the next level, selling out shows, touring nationally and organizing a celebratory Roast for the family, all while remaining very single.

The End of a Cultural Phenomenon

It’s hard to overstate the impact this franchise has had. What started as a buzzy social experiment turned into one of the most iconic reality series of its generation complete with catchphrases, Halloween costumes, gym-tan-laundry routines and friendships that somehow survived it all.

For longtime fans, these final episodes feel less like a cancellation and more like a graduation. We’ve watched them grow up, and in many ways, we did too.

The final season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation will air globally across MTV, bringing the Shore story full circle. Whether you’ve been here since Seaside Heights or joined during the family vacation years, one thing’s certain: this last ride is going to be unforgettable.

Watch the final season premiere of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation starting Thursday, May 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

The British pop icon, whose former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne died a little more than a year ago, sat down with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe for a wide-reaching interview that included influences, Styles’ upcoming album, and the loss of a close friend.

During the interview, Styles shared that talking about Payne publicly has been difficult, as has the struggle with public perception and judgment of how he’s grieving

“I struggle with that a little bit even,” Styles said. “I think there was a period when he passed away where I really struggled with kind of acknowledging how strange it is to have people kind of own part of your grief in a way. I have such strong feelings around my friend passing away. And then suddenly being aware of there’s maybe a desire from other people of you to convey that in some way, or it means you’re not feeling what you’re feeling or something.”

He went on to share that the death of his friend caused him to re-evalute his life.

“It’s so difficult to lose a friend,” he said. “It’s difficult to lose any friend, but it’s so difficult to lose a friend who is so like you in so many ways. It’s like, I saw someone with the kindest heart who just wanted to be great. It was a really important moment for me in terms of taking a look at my life and being able to say to myself, ‘OK, what do I want to do with my life? How do I want to live my life?’”

Payne, 31 at the time, died on Oct. 7, 2024, after falling from the third-floor balcony of a hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Following the tragic incident, Styles and his bandmates issued statements.

“I will miss him always, my lovely friend,” Styles shared on his own. His joint message with 1D members Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson read, “The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. We will miss him terribly.”

The product of reality talent contest The X Factor, One Direction was formed in 2010. After megawatt success, the band went on indefinite hiatus in 2016, each following their own successful solo careers. They reunited to pay tribute to Payne at his funeral, per BBC.

“I think the greatest way you can honor your friends who pass away is by living your life to the fullest,” Styles told Lowe.

The “Aperture” artist released his first single in three years back in January, which followed him wrapping his Love on Tour stint in the summer of 2023. His latest album, his fourth titled Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally, drops Friday. On Sunday, his Manchester concert special during which he performs his entire new album live lands on Netflix.

Sure seems like he’s taking his own advice and living to the max. Well wishes.

Angelina Jolie's Paris Fashion Week Movie Gets Big Update After Festival Run

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 1:24pm

Just as Paris Fashion Week 2026 kicks off, a new film about the glamorous event was just acquired for an upcoming theatrical release.

Couture stars Angelina Jolie and premiered at last year's Toronto International Film Festival. Deadline announced on Wednesday, March 4 that the fashion-world drama has just been acquired by distribution company Vertical to hit theaters later this year.

"Couture is a film about women’s bodies. It tells women who bear scars that we can be stronger by sharing our wounds," said Coutour director Alice Winocour in a statement about the ensemble-cast film, per Deadline. "There is also something deeply political, for me, in telling the story of a collective rather than an individual destiny — I wanted to restore depth and complexity to women across generations and backgrounds, beyond the superficial images we’re so often given. I’m grateful to Vertical for championing the film and for helping these women’s stories resonate across cultures and borders."

"Angelina's role in Couture is delivered with quiet intensity that is both intimate and deeply personal," said Vertical partner Peter Jarowey in a statement. "This is brave filmmaking at its finest; Vertical is proud to be releasing another feature from Alice, following Proxima‘s debut in 2020."

Per Deadline, the Paris Fashion Week-set storyline sees three women’s lives intersect:

  • Maxine (Jolie), a filmmaker who discovers she has breast cancer and is drawn into a love story with a familiar collaborator (Louis Garrel)
  • Ada (Anyier Anei), a fresh face in modeling, escaping a predetermined future back home in South Sudan
  • Angèle (Ella Rumpf), a makeup artist working in the shadows of the catwalks

Jolie, 50, also made headlines this week after a source close to her told People that the Oscar winner has been too busy focusing on her work to worry about a relationship. Above all, Jolie has focused on her six children and "hasn’t had a boyfriend," said the source.

1978 Classic Is a No. 1 Hit Again, 48 Years After Its Release

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 1:23pm

Nearly five decades after it first ruled the disco era, one of dance music’s most theatrical anthems is spinning back to the top—this time with a little Olympic sparkle.

In a chart twist that feels tailor-made for a disco comeback story, Donna Summer’s electrifying version of “MacArthur Park” has surged to No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance Digital Song Sales chart, 48 years after it first captivated audiences in 1978.

According to Billboard, the renewed momentum comes after figure skater Alysa Liu used the sweeping disco epic for her gold medal–winning performance at the Milan Winter Olympics. The dramatic routine reintroduced the song to millions of viewers worldwide, sparking a spike in downloads and sending the track straight back to the top spot.

The achievement marks Summer’s fourth posthumous No. 1 on the Dance Digital Song Sales chart—yet another remarkable milestone for the late icon, who passed away in 2012.

View this post on Instagram A Bold Reinvention

Written by Jimmy Webb and first recorded by Richard Harris in 1968, the tune was known for its surreal lyrics and dramatic structure. But Summer, alongside pioneering producers Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte, transformed it into a nearly 18-minute disco track for her Live and More album. The radio edit was released as a single and soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in November 1978, becoming her first Hot 100 chart-topper.

The extended “MacArthur Park Suite” also dominated Billboard’s disco charts during its original run, cementing Summer’s status as the undisputed Queen of Disco.

Now, thanks to Liu’s headline-making Olympic performance, “MacArthur Park” has found new life on digital platforms. The emotional crescendo and relentless dance beat proved a perfect match for the ice—and for a global audience rediscovering Summer’s powerhouse vocals.

Fans Say Donna Summer Is 'Still Ruling the Dance Floor'

On social media, fans rejoiced after the news of the resurgence.

"Love it! Still ruling the dance floor 14years after she passed. How about the pop charts?! The sing was viral and it hit Top 10 in all the streaming sites. Where is it on the pop charts?!" one raved in the comments section of Billboard's Instagram post announcing the update on Wednesday, March 4.

"Donna Summer was my very first concert when I was 13 ..she played at The Hollywood Bowl..I'll never forget it!! xo," another remembered.

A third chimed in with, "That was such an iconic rendition of that song," in part.

"It's exciting and wonderful to know that my favorite song, and singer is No.1 i and back in the charts after so many years!" yet another exclaimed.

Lily Allen Rocks Dress Made of Receipts Showing Ex David Harbour’s Purchases for Other Women

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 1:16pm

Lily Allen just made a bold fashion statement.

During the very first stop of her West End Girl tour in Glasgow, Scotland on Monday, Mar. 2, the singer-songwriter shocked fans by wearing a dress made of receipts showing things her ex-husband, David Harbour, allegedly bought for other women.

While performing her song “4chan Stan,” Allen and another person, who was not visible on camera, lifted the fabric of the dress to display the receipts to the crowd. At the end of the song, she unraveled herself from the material and tossed it aside.

According to Page Six, the fabric was printed with handwritten lyrics and receipts from tequila bars and luxury department store Bergdorf Goodman. In “4chan Stan,” Allen sings about discovering her husband bought another woman an expensive handbag at the very same store.

The outlet also reports Allen wore a "custom Self-Portrait ruffled sheer lace bodysuit, burgundy patent hot pants, Agent Provocateur bra, Calzedonia fishnet tights and Christian Louboutin pumps" underneath the head-turning dress.

— Pop Crave (@PopCrave) March 4, 2026

Allen and Harbour first began dating in 2019, making their red carpet debut at the 26th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (now the Actor Awards) in January 2020. The pair later married in September of that year in Las Vegas, Nevada in a ceremony officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator.

In early 2025, it was reported that Allen and Harbour had separated after the Stranger Things actor was rumored to be found on celebrity dating app Raya, the very same app where the couple first connected.

Following the release of her album West End Girl last year, Allen stated that the record was partially about the demise of her relationship with Harbour.

“There are things that are on the record that I experienced within my marriage, but that’s not to say that it’s all gospel,” she told Vogue in October 2025. “It is inspired by what went on in the relationship.”

'Scream 7' Director Teases Universal Monsters Series Described as an 'Adult Vampire Diaries'

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 1:15pm

With the release of Scream 7, all eyes are on the return of the iconic horror franchise, this time helmed by longtime director Kevin Williamson. Williamson has revealed plans to revisit his television roots with a secret new project that could tap into the nostalgia of one of his most beloved series, The Vampire Diaries.

Having helmed the original Scream from 1996 and horror hits like I Know What You Did Last Summer, Williamson knows a thing or two about creating a haunting atmosphere. When it comes to what's next on his roster after the recent Scream installment, the director says he's going back to working on TV.

"Netflix and Universal were very kind to let me go direct Scream VII and put some projects on hold, and now I’m focused on those," he said to Esquire.

"The one I’m writing right now is a show. You might call it an adult Vampire Diaries. It’s based in the Universal monster land. I get to play with some of those characters like Dracula and Frankenstein, and the Wolf Man, and have fun there."

Related: 1994 Track by a Legendary Rock Band First Debuted on a Hit Movie Soundtrack

Not only is Williamson behind Scream, but he also had a major role in some of the biggest TV series in teen history. He's known for creating the WB teen drama Dawson's Creekand the CW supernatural series The Vampire Diaries.

Anyone who grew up during the era of Twilight and vampires would have been glued to their TV screens as the 2009 series brought to life L. J. Smith's popular teen supernatural book series. It cemented lead actors like Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, andIan Somerhalder, while creating a media spin-off franchise and a surge in vampire-themed projects.

The Vampire Diaries gained traction with its younger fanbase for its storyline of an ordinary girl from Mystic Falls, Virginia, as she fall sin love with a 172-year-old vampire. She's soon thrust into the world of the supernatural and one of TV's steamiest love triangles.

Williamson's comment means that fans might be in for a treat and the possible return of the supernatural genre they grew up with. The project is also tied to the upcoming Dark Universe land at Universal's Epic Universe and moving away from previously failed attempts of a cinematic universe.

Southwest Airlines Is Still Failing to Address Biggest Complaint From Non-Solo Travelers

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 1:09pm

Southwest airlines disappointed a large contingent of its loyal customers back in January when a long awaited policy change was finally implemented by the airline. Even if you're not a frequent Southwest flyer, you've probably heard about how the airline did away with its signature unassigned seating plan, and the backlash that followed when many passengers said it became incredibly hard to fly with checked bags as a result of the new rules.

The airline addressed the outcry after nearly a month of complaints, offering some different solutions to customers. However, there are still many passengers who say Southwest failed to address the biggest complaint about the seating, and they're still calling on the airline to make more adjustments.

@Southwest Airlines The airline that for decades use to ensure families sat together by asking if anyone would be willing to give up their seat. NOW!! Refuses to allow a family to sit together due to a person having an assigned seat on a plane with over 50 EMPTY SEATS!!!

The airline has become well aware of how unpopular the idea to do away with unassigned seats has been. And while it's tried to adjust some easier to address complaints like where carry-on bags should be stored, the airline's biggest critics say it's still missing the point.

Southwest's departure from unassigned seating has become a pain point for many flyers, especially families. While Simple Flying notes that families were previously able to ensure they can fly together simply by boarding at the same time and snagging open seats near one another, the airlines new process has lead to parents being separated from their children due to the airline's automated assignment process.

TikToker @gilgra2025 documented an example of how this new policy looks in real life when he filmed himself on a Southwest flight that had gotten held up after he claims the flight crew made a toddler sit by themselves on a nearly empty plane due to the new seating rules.

And it's not just families feeling the pain. Couples, friends, and even casual traveling companions can no longer ensure they will be seated together simply by booking together. When asked for a comment, a Southwest representative told Simple Flying, "Since launch, we’ve been closely monitoring input and real-world behaviors to validate our assumptions and identify where we can refine the experience. Those insights are now informing a series of early adjustments designed to smooth operations and reduce friction as Customers and Employees adapt to the new boarding and seating process."

Southwest Has Been Listening to Customer Feedback

The last thing I want to do is pile on Southwest when they are already taking a lot of heat from customers, but as a mom I can see how this new change would be very challenging for me and my family. That being said, it does seem like the airline is taking a lot of what its customers have to say under consideration.

For example, Southwest previously said it would begin adding additional storage and more clearly marked bins to deal with complaints about how hard it is to store carry-on bags near your seats due to the new changes. Maybe they will also heed passenger complaints about not being able to ensure groups can fly together next.

With Spring Break and summer travel plans right on the horizon, Southwest has a short window of time to solve this problem if they don't want to miss out on those non-solo passengers who may opt to fly with airlines where they have a better shot of being sat next to the people they are traveling with.

‘Love Is Blind’: Why Brittany’s Wedding Dress Was a Red Flag to Devonta

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 1:05pm

Season 10 wasn't easy for some of the Love Is Blindparticipants. Devonta Anderson found out his grandfather died while in the pods. He decided to stay and got engaged to Brittany Wicker. Brittany, 37, was prepared and she already bought a wedding dress.

Devonta, 32, saw Brittany in person and revealed she wasn't his type. He has never dated a "woman of color" before. Their trip to Mexico with the other engaged couples wasn't any better. The finale is out and Devonta revealed how he felt about Brittany going wedding dress shopping before the pods.

Devonta Thought Brittany Just Wanted to Be Married Devonta Anderson and Brittany Wicker

Netflix

Episode 12 showed Devonta and Brittany talking in an apartment, not preparing for a wedding like the other couples. "I love you," she told him. "I'm in love with you. I have the dress, the nails, the lashes, all the things, ready to be married." The nurse said she was shocked they weren't moving forward since her family came in town for the big day.

Devonta said he couldn't proceed because he had doubts. Brittany believed they were still engaged and were pushing back their wedding. However, the loan officer revealed how he really felt about Brittany having her wedding outfit prepared before the show.

"Today was supposed to be our wedding day," he told the camera. "She was ready for marriage, but there was always doubt in my head. There were certain things that kind of struck me, like when she mentioned that she had pre-bought a wedding dress. Having the dress pre-bought was something that really threw me. I was like, 'Were you going to get married regardless if it was me?'"

Brittany had a very different perspective on shopping for the dress ahead of time. "I think that he would love this dress because I think this dress would make him see my natural beauty," she told the camera.

The reunion will reveal if the couple is on better terms or if they broke up. The episode looks like it's full of drama with someone walking off stage. Bri McNees said, "It didn't mean anything." It looks like Brittany asks someone if they knew she was still wearing her engagement ring. "I literally did not," Bri answered.

The season's reunion will be available to stream starting Wednesday, March 11 at 9 p.m. ET ET on Netflix.

Legendary '80s Metal Band Shares Tour Update Due to 'Unprecedented Circumstances'

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 1:04pm

Iron Maiden and Live Nation made a crucial announcement concerning the group's upcoming tour dates.

The legendary '80s metal band was scheduled for two shows in Los Angeles on Sept. 25 and 26, though the announcement made it clear that one show would have to be moved due to "unprecedented circumstances."

Thankfully, fans won't have to wait too long to see the show, as it's being moved by just one day.

"Live Nation regret to announce that Iron’s Maiden second show in LA on September 26 has had to be rescheduled to September 27," the post began.

As for the reason for the rescheduled date, Live Nation explained, "We regret to inform fans that due to restrictions on simultaneous events at Exposition Park, we have been forced to move the Iron Maiden show scheduled for Saturday, September 26 at BMO Stadium to Sunday, September 27. This is specifically due to the USC Trojans vs Oregon Ducks college football game taking place at the neighbouring 100,000 capacity Memorial Coliseum stadium."

"This is an unprecedented circumstance and is unfortunately entirely outside of either our or the band’s control. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your understanding as we comply with venue and city regulations," the announcement further read, clarifying that the "Friday, September 25 performance at BMO Stadium remains unchanged."

Those who already have tickets to the show don't have to do anything, as Sept. 26 show tickets will be "honored for the rescheduled show."

View this post on Instagram

"Emails have been sent to ticket holders with further details," the post concluded, once again emphasizing, "We are extremely sorry for the disruption and thank you for your continued support."

The message stirred up a bit of concern amongst fans in the comments, as one said their "heart dropped" at the thought that "they cancelled the tour."

"Damn! Now I got to request another day off for that weekend 😕," someone else noted.

Despite the scheduling hiccup, this may be one of the final times fans can see Iron Maiden performing live, as the band confirmed on Feb. 26 that they will wrap up their massive 50th "Run for Your Lives" anniversary world tour this year after it kicked off in May 2025. After the final scheduled dates for Nov. 24 and 25, the "Fear of the Dark" crooners will be stepping away from the road for all of 2027, with a possibility of returning in 2028.

"These two shows will be extra special as they are the very last shows the band will play until at least 2028, as they take a well-earned break from being on the road for the whole of 2027,” the band shared in a news release.

However, will be able to relive all the magic in cinemas, with their 50-year history explored in the documentary, "Burning Ambition," premiering May 2026.

3 of the World’s Best Movie Theaters Are in the U.S.

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 1:01pm

At a time when streaming services dominate screens at home and movie theaters struggle to draw crowds, a fresh celebration of cinema spaces around the globe has reminded us why theaters still matter. Time Out recently released its list of the 100 greatest cinemas in the world right now, highlighting classic picture palaces, independent art houses, and cult film temples that have become must-visit destinations for movie lovers everywhere. Among them, three remarkable theaters in the United States stand out, not just for their screenings, but for their history, architecture, and irreplaceable experiences.

Related: ’80s Movie Star Ranked ‘Best Female Actor’ of All Time

That list arrives at a pivotal moment. Attendance at movie theaters has yet to fully recover to pre-pandemic highs, with industry data showing U.S. admissions in recent years lagging well behind the 1+ billion tickets sold annually before 2019 and overall frequency of visits declining for many adults. Yet there’s reason for optimism: experiential cinema, where the where of the screening matters as much as the what continues to draw audiences who want something stories on a big screen alone can’t deliver.

New Beverly Cinema — Los Angeles View this post on Instagram

Ranked number 5 on the list, New Beverly Cinema offers something entirely different: a true cinephile’s rep house celebrating films the old-fashioned way. A staple in the Fairfax District since 1978, this single-screen theater was beloved enough to be purchased and preserved by director Quentin Tarantino in 2007, ensuring its survival against redevelopment.

What makes New Beverly special is its exclusive use of 35mm film prints, often curated from Tarantino’s own collection. Screenings here are events, from double features and midnight shows to themed retrospectives, giving audiences the rare chance to watch movies exactly as they were originally intended.

Nearby: Fairfax and neighboring West Hollywood offer cafes, vintage shops, art galleries, and a vibrant nightlife, making New Beverly the centerpiece of a culturally rich outing.

Film Forum — New York City View this post on Instagram

Located in Greenwich Village in Manhattan, Film Forum  was ranked third best on the list. The stunning theater is a nonprofit cinema that has been a cornerstone of New York’s independent film scene since 1970. Celebrated as one of the top three greatest cinemas in the world on the Time Out list, Film Forum is beloved for its eclectic programming of indie premieres, classic revivals, foreign films, and rare screenings.

This isn’t just about nostalgia, it’s about curation. Film Forum programs retrospectives, director spotlights, and even live piano accompaniments during silent film nights, creating experiences smaller multiplexes simply can’t replicate. You won’t find blockbusters here so much as cinema culture at its best, tailored for real cinephiles and curious travelers alike.

Nearby: While you’re in Greenwich Village, take time to explore Washington Square Park, quirky cafes, jazz clubs, bookstores, and the historic streets that helped shape American arts and culture.

First time watching an @IMAX movie at the @TCL Chinese Theatres and I don’t ever want to go back to any theater if it’s not here ! Watching @Wuthering Heights Movie in IMAX is 10x better The cinematography gave gothic horror and I loved it 🖤 #chinesetheatre #wutheringheights #imax #tclchinesetheater #hollywood

♬ Cathedral - cleanmindsounds

If a theater could be a symbol of cinema itself, it’s the TCL Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. This iconic movie palace, originally opened in 1927 by showman Sid Grauman, tops the Time Out list as the world’s best cinema. Known for its pagoda-style architecture, grand lobby, and star-studded forecourt where generations of celebrities have left hand and footprint impressions, this venue remains one of America’s most iconic cultural landmarks.

While it functions as a working movie theater showing major releases (often on a massive IMAX screen), the TCL Chinese Theatre also offers walking tours that highlight its storied history and legendary premieres, perfect for movie buffs or anyone enamored with Hollywood lore.

Nearby: Of course, Hollywood Boulevard means the Walk of Fame, Madame Tussauds, the Hollywood Museum, and plenty of restaurants and shops to make a full day out of your visit.

Why These Theaters Still Matter

Despite the rise of streaming and a post-pandemic return that hasn’t quite hit previous attendance peaks, theaters like Film Forum, TCL Chinese Theatre, and New Beverly Cinema prove that moviegoing can be a cultural, architectural, and communal experience.

Whether you’re an avid traveler, a dedicated cinephile, or someone just looking for a memorable night out, these cinemas aren’t just places to watch movies, they are living museums of film culture, each with its own story to tell.
