Savannah Guthrie's Mom Nancy Update: Case 'Red Hot' With Evidence After Sudden Turn, FBI Agent Says

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 6:33am

Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing more than a month after being abducted—and a retired FBI agent said the case is "red hot" with evidence as it took a sudden turn.

Recently, both the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) withdrew multiple agents and officers from Tucson to focus on other aspects of the investigation.

As the case enters this new phase, Jennifer Coffindaffer, a retired FBI special agent, weighed in on Nancy's disappearance.

“Anyone reporting that Nancy’s case is cold has no idea what that term means and has never worked a day of law enforcement in their life,” she wrote on X on March 3.

Coffindaffer continued, “The FBI has so many video leads that they have relocated to Phoenix for additional analytics resources. “They have a glove, DNA from inside the house, videos, Porch Guy leads and so much more we know nothing about.”

On Feb. 1, the PCSD launched its search for Nancy, who was last seen at her residence on Jan. 31. Savannah and her siblings, Annie and Camron, have since sent multiple video messages to the potential captor after receiving several alleged ransom notes. Most recently, Savannah offered a $1 million reward for any information leading to Nancy’s return.

In a Feb. 27 statement, the PCSD said, “This remains an active investigation and will continue until Nancy Guthrie is located or all leads have been exhausted,” per People. “The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is refocusing resources to detectives specifically assigned to this case. As leads are developed and resolved, resource allocation may fluctuate. PCSD will maintain a patrol presence in the Guthrie neighborhood.”

Those with any information about Nancy’s missing case are advised to contact the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Celebrity Cruises Just Relaunched Its Most Iconic Ship—and It’s Heading to Alaska This Summer

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 6:10am

If you’ve been looking for a sign to finally book that bucket-list cruise, Celebrity Cruises just gave you 1,479 of them—cabins, that is. On March 2, 2026, the newly revitalized Celebrity Solstice officially set sail from Singapore, debuting a bow-to-stern reimagining that makes this iconic ship feel entirely new. This isn't just a fresh coat of paint; it is the beginning of a major revitalization across the entire Solstice Series, focusing on a central theme of "elevated travel" that prioritizes outdoor living and world-class dining.

“Celebrity Solstice launched our Solstice Series ships and defined a generation of Celebrity Cruises travel. This reimagination honors that heritage while setting a new standard for what an elevated vacation can be,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises. “Every new experience was designed around how our guests want to spend their time, backed by the unmatched hospitality that defines every Celebrity Cruises sailing.”

The standout addition is undoubtedly Sunset Park, a new top-deck outdoor destination that feels more like a chic coastal beach club than a cruise ship. This open-air social space features everything from yoga and lawn games to live music and private cabanas, all centered around a new Sunset Park Café and an expanded Sunset Bar. It’s the perfect spot to take in sweeping ocean views with a handcrafted cocktail in hand.

The culinary scene has also leveled up with two major additions. Trattoria Rossa, a brand-new concept for Celebrity, serves up Roman and Southern Italian cuisine with house-made pastas and dramatic tableside preparations. Meanwhile, the Forbes Travel Guide-rated Fine Cut Steakhouse—a massive favorite from the line’s Edge Series—has officially joined the Solstice, bringing its famous 30-day dry-aged steaks and fresh seafood to a new audience.

Even the staterooms have received a "spa-like" upgrade. Every existing cabin was refreshed, and 54 brand-new staterooms were added. For those who prioritize wellness, the AquaClass rooms now feature aromatherapy diffusers and massaging shower heads, while guests of The Retreat can enjoy a redesigned private lounge and a brand-new sundeck with an oversized hot tub.

Whether you're looking to catch new high-flying acrobatics in the theatre or engage in some friendly competition at The Parlor, the ship’s new elevated sports and gaming lounge, the timing couldn't be better. After its current run through Asia and Australia, the ship makes its Alaska season debut this summer before embarking on a landmark 110-night Grand Voyage in September. It’s a rare chance to see 55 unrepeated ports while enjoying a ship that is truly "reimagined from bow-to-stern."

1967 Classic Was a No. 1 Hit 59 Years Ago Today

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 6:05am

By the late '60s, the Rolling Stones were already an established chart-topping band, having scored three number one hits with "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" and "Get Off of My Cloud," both in 1965, and "Paint It Black" in 1966. But their fourth number one on the Billboard Hot 100 had a different, more sentimental tone than their previous hits...probably because it was inspired by Keith Richards' first broken heart.

On March 4, 1967, "Ruby Tuesday" — which was released on the American edition of Between the Buttons — peaked at the top position on the charts in the U.S., where it stayed for one week. Over half a century later, it's still one of the band's most beloved (and relatable) classics.

As Richards explained in the book According to the Rolling Stones, the song was about his relationship with British Vogue model Linda Keith, per Far Out (or “the one that first broke my heart").

“It was probably written about Linda Keith not being there,” he said. “I don’t know, she had pissed off somewhere. It was very mournful, very, very Ruby Tuesday, and it was a Tuesday.”

“That’s one of those things — some chick you’ve broken up with,” Richards once elaborated, adding, “And all you’ve got left is the piano and the guitar and a pair of panties. And it’s goodbye, you know. And so it just comes out of that. And after that, you just build on it. It’s one of those songs that are easiest to write because you’re really right there, and you really sort of mean it. And for a songwriter, hey break his heart, and he’ll come up with a good song.”

In his 2010 autobiography Life, Richards recalled the first moment he ever saw Keith.

“The first look was the deepest, watching her with all her tricks and movements, fearfully, from across the room and feeling that hit of longing, and thinking she was out of my league,” he wrote.

While the romance didn't last, the song will likely live on forever.

“That’s a wonderful song,” Mick Jagger said in a 1995 Rolling Stone interview, adding, “It’s just a nice melody, really. And a lovely lyric. Neither of which I wrote, but I always enjoy singing it.”

Fans always enjoy hearing it, too.

Doctors Are Seeing a Bizarre New COVID Symptom Right Now

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 5:50am

Spring and St. Patrick's Day are both on the way, and with them all the greenery, rainbows and Shamrock Shakes that come with them this festive time of year.

But before you celebrate not being buried up to your knees in snow in the foreseeable future, here's another thing to worry about: COVID-19 is still very much a threat in March 2026—a full six years since the first lockdowns—and especially so to people who don't exactly have a pot of gold in terms of their health.

"While most people will recover [from a COVID infection], some will get more serious illnesses, such as pneumonia, requiring medical care and hospitalization," Dr. Joseph Bresee, MD, director of respiratory virus prevention and preparedness programs at The Task Force for Global Health, tells Parade. "Anyone who has shortness of breath should seek medical care to get early treatment. Serious disease is especially common among older adults, people with certain underlying illnesses and people with immunocompromising conditions."

Part of what makes COVID-19, like influenza, so tricky is that it's mutating constantly.

"The dominant strains are XFG and NB.1.8.1, both part of the JN.1 lineage," Dr. Tyler Evans, MD, infectious disease specialist and founder and CEO of Wellness Equity Alliance, explains. "The current JN.1-based vaccines are designed to protect against them. Compared to earlier variants, these strains are more transmissible, but they do not cause a dramatically different set of symptoms. The main difference is that they’ve evolved to better sidestep some existing immunity from past infection or vaccination, which is why updated vaccines matter."

"Since late 2021, Omicron variants have predominated in the United States," Dr. Bresee adds. "As these viruses continue to evolve, public health officials watch carefully to see whether new strains will be more easily spread or cause more severe disease, and they are continuously testing to make sure that current drugs and vaccines are effective. As the viruses evolve, scientists also monitor to see if the symptoms they cause are changing."

According to Dr. Nneoma Oparaji, MD, DipABLM, DABOM, "Most of the COVID-19 strains are from the Omnicron lineage, the type that has been the most common globally since late 2021 as it is easily transmissible. However, there are sub-variants of Omicron that are increasingly more common, such as NB.1.8.1 ('Nimbus') and XFG. Previously, COVID-19 strains included Alpha and Delta, which caused more serious symptoms."

What Are the Most Common COVID-19 Symptoms in March 2026?

Dr. Jodi Baptiste, MD, primary care physician with PlushCare, tells Parade the symptoms she's observing most often right now are more concentrated in the upper airway and not the lungs. They often include:

  • Sore throat
  • Nasal congestion
  • Runny nose
  • Cough (usually dry)
  • Fatigue
  • Headache
  • Fever or chills (though these are less universal than before)
  • Body aches
  • Mild gastrointestinal symptoms (think nausea, vomiting, diarrhea)

While a lot of these are what we've come to expect from COVID-19 over time, there's a newer symptom popping up as well.

"Interestingly, we are seeing folks that are 'bone tired' but have insomnia and cannot get to sleep," Dr. Scott Stienecker, MD, FACP, FSHEA, FIDSA, CIC, medical director of epidemiology and infection prevention at Parkview Health, tells us. "A short course of a sleep aid can help. Most people are 'walking wounded' and will improve with the usual comfort care."

"Progression from mild to severe illness is much less common due to people's immunity," Dr. Jonathan Pinsky, MD, infectious disease specialist at Endeavor Health, explains. "Host immunity varies depending on how recently you were vaccinated or had a COVID infection." (This means if you haven't gotten a vaccine or a recent booster, you're probably going to feel a lot worse than someone who did!)

All that said, not everyone will have every symptom if they're infected, so be sure to test yourself or get to a doctor's office if you think you may be getting sick.

What’s the Best Way To Protect Against COVID-19 Right Now?

Dr. Evans emphasizes one tool above all others to reduce your risk of hospitalization: "Staying up to date with vaccination remains the most effective way to reduce the risk of severe disease."

He also recommends masking in healthcare spaces. "The best way to prevent getting sick from COVID is to get vaccinated each fall. While it may not always prevent infection, it helps your immune system fight the virus faster and can prevent more severe symptoms," Dr. Pinsky concurs.

"Although there is no single perfect action to prevent infection, I advocate for the following strategies: Being up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, wearing well-fitted masks such as N95 in high-risk settings like crowded indoor spaces, frequent handwashing, avoiding close contact when infection risk is high and isolating if you test positive," Dr. Oparaji says.

There are other steps to take to protect yourself from coronavirus infections as well.

Dr. Meenu Vaid, MD, board-certified infectious disease physician and medical director at Correctional Health Partners, recommends quality ventilation to improve the air quality and washing hands for at least 20 to 25 seconds.

How Can I Tell the Difference Between COVID-19 Symptoms and Allergies?

There are two key elements to look for, according to Dr. Oparaji.

"Generally, it can be challenging to differentiate between seasonal allergies and COVID-19 because the symptoms overlap. Seasonal allergies often cause itchy eyes, watery eyes, itchy nose or throat, frequent sneezing and a clear runny nose," she says. "Seasonal allergies do not cause fever or body aches, unlike COVID-19. The best way to differentiate is by testing for COVID-19."

"People should contact their healthcare provider if they have concerns and certainly if the symptoms they're experiencing include shortness of breath, Dr. Bresee adds. "A test done from a nasal swab can reliably detect the presence of COVID-19."

According to Dr. Pinsky, "If you think you may have cold symptoms and aren't sure if it's allergies, it's best to cover your cough and avoid exposing others—especially newborns, the elderly, those with weakened immune systems or other medically vulnerable people."

What’s the Quickest Way To Get Rid of COVID Symptoms?

The most important thing to do is test to figure out if you really have COVID-19. Once that's done, either get your behind into bed or into a doctor's office.

"For most people, the treatment of COVID-19 infections involves supportive care, including rest, plenty of fluids and medicines to lower the fever and reduce the aches associated with the illness," Dr. Bresee says. "In people with risk factors for severe illness, or people who have evidence of moderate or severe illness, such as shortness of breath, effective treatments are available by prescription."

In this case, Dr. Bresee adds, you healthcare provider can help make an assessment and a recommendation for treatment. "Like influenza, treatment is more effective if started early, so people shouldn't hesitate to reach out to a healthcare provider with any concerns they have."

Will My COVID Risk Be Lower When the Weather Gets Warmer?

That's a big maybe, according to doctors we spoke to, and a lot of it depends on where you live and how the virus mutates.

"As the spring starts, respiratory viruses like COVID-19 and influenza are likely to become less of a problem, but late-season peaks of both influenza and COVID-19 have been observed in the past," Dr. Bresee says. "As COVID-19 viruses continue to evolve, we should always be mindful of respiratory viruses at anytime of the year. The CDC's website is a great place to get updates on when and where COVID-19 is occurring."

Dr. Oparaji adds, "Warmer weather does not guarantee a drop in the number of COVID-19 cases as there have been outbreaks during summer in the Southern states."

"COVID doesn’t follow a predictable seasonal pattern the way flu does," Dr. Evans points out. "We’ve seen summer increases before, so a late spring or summer rise would not be surprising. It’s difficult to forecast with precision. A larger summer wave could mean a smaller winter or early spring surge, but that could shift quickly if a substantially different variant appears."

"Although respiratory viruses often spread more in colder, drier conditions, COVID activity is driven more by population immunity, human behavior, travel and emerging variants," Dr. Baptiste warns. "CDC and NIH-supported research note that increases can still occur during warmer months, and while experts observe COVID trending toward seasonal patterns, new variants can shift trends at any time."

Lonely Planet’s New App Aims to Cure the 3:00 AM Travel Planning Spiral

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 5:42am

Planning a vacation is often a full-time job that nobody gets paid for. Hopeful travelers have all been there — three hours deep into a social media rabbit hole, staring at a hidden gem waterfall that’s actually surrounded by 400 people with selfie sticks. According to the travel giant Lonely Planet, nearly 60% of travelers report total information overload when trying to book a simple getaway. The fun part of travel is often suffocated by the noise.

Enter Lonely Planet. The brand that’s lived in backpacks is staging a digital coup. The brand is launching a connected travel ecosystem designed to kill the planning spiral once and for all. For decades, the little blue spine of a Lonely Planet book was the ultimate traveler’s companion. But in a move that signals an evolution, the brand is pivoting to a digital-first platform. They are cutting through the influencer static by curating advice from over 450 on-the-ground experts.

"Lonely Planet has always been built around serving the traveler," CEO Paul Yanover said in a statement. "We know our travelers don't just take trips – they think about travel as part of who they are... bringing our trusted expertise into a modern digital ecosystem that gives travelers clarity and confidence."

The centerpiece is a new app that features an AI assistant built on decades of proprietary data. Translation: instead of arguing with a generic bot, you’re talking to a tool that’s been fed fifty years of actual boots-on-the-ground research.

Another update is Lonely Planet Journeys. The brand aims to help others who are officially over the inspiration to action gap —here you see a cool itinerary and then realize you have no idea how to actually book that specific local ferry or boutique riad. Now, you can book customized trips to 70+ destinations directly through the platform.

Nitya Chambers, executive editor, put it bluntly: "Our role has always been to help travelers make confident decisions... whether someone is dreaming about a future trip, planning the details, or on the road."

Because nothing says legacy brand with a modern twist like a freebie, Lonely Planet is offering free membership access for the year. Customers get every destination guide and insider recommendation without the membership tier paywalls that are slated to rollout later this year.

In a world of all-too-similar travel blogs and Top 5 lists that all look the same, the O.G. of travel guides is betting that travelers all ready for some actual expertise. The paper books might be the 770-title backbone of the company, but the future of travel looks a lot less like a library and a lot more like your new favorite app.

1972 No. 1 One-Hit Wonder Was a Radio Smash Before It Was Released as a Single

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 5:42am

In 1972, the band Looking Glass had a hit song with “Brandy (You’re a Fine Girl).” The pop-rock song about unrequited love hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on Aug. 26. 1972 and remained in the top spot for one week.

But the song’s rise to success was a bit of a surprise for the New Jersey-based band, which featured Elliot Lurie, Larry Gonsky, Jeff Grob, and Pieter Sweval.

In an interview with Rock Cellar magazine, Lurie admitted, “I wrote [‘Brandy’] with the intention that it would be a song that the band could perform and record. And of course, we wanted to record a hit.”

The Looking Glass songwriter revealed that in a sweet stroke of luck, a disc jockey began playing the song on-air before the track was even a single.

A DJ in Washington DC played ‘Brandy’ before it was released as a single,” Lurie shared. "The request line went wild, and our record label rush released the single. As soon as it was on radio nationally, it steadily climbed the charts to No. 1.”

The disc jockey who helped spawn “Brandy” into a No. 1 hit was Harv Moore, from the Top 40 radio station WPGC-AM/FM in Washington, D.C. Record label promoter Robert Mandel urged Moore to listen to the “Brandy” track off a test pressing of the debut self-titled Looking Glass LP, instead of the album’s actual first single,  “Don’t It Make You Feel Good.”

“We put it out, and it did nothing,” Lurie told Vinyl Dialogues of the album's first single. “That could have been it right there; that could have been the end of the story.”

“The promotion man went in to hang out with Harv, and he said, ‘Have you heard this Looking Glass thing?’ And Harv said, ‘Yeah, but it’s not really happening,'” Lurie recalled. “And the promotion man said, ‘You really got to listen to the rest of the album, this group is pretty good.’ Back in those days, that could happen. A promotion man could have a relationship with a disc jockey and ask him to listen to something and he would.”

Moore began playing "Brandy” in heavy rotation as listeners began to request it, and the song became a hit on DC radio with no copies sold.  Lurie recalled the record company telling the band that if “Brandy” was released as a single, it would do well because “if you have a song in a major market like this and the requests are like that, it’s going to be a hit.”

RELATED:  The Strange Truth Behind This Legendary ‘70s Hit

Lurie elaborated in an interview with Forbes, noting that an Epic Records executive predicted, “Your record is going to go to Number One. It’s going to sell a million copies … if it's getting the kind of reaction it's getting in that city and a couple of others, it's going all the way.’”

The song was so overplayed that summer that Lurie admitted the band sometimes “wound up changing the station when it came on, because we were sick of it at that time.”

More than 50 years later, “Brandy” remains a yacht rock and karaoke favorite—and Looking Glass’s only Top 10 hit before their initial split in 1975.

“You couldn’t avoid ‘Brandy’ on top 40 radio in the summer of 1972,” Lurie told Rock Cellar. “It sold a million copies, reached No. 1, so its impact was clear at the time. But I never dreamed it would sustain over the years as it has.”

“I’ll wear the ‘one-hit wonder’ mantle,“ the Looking Glass singer proudly added. “One’s better than none, I always say.”

1986 Love and Marriage Smash That Sounded Straight Out of '70s

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 5:15am

In 1986, music fans were swept back to the early ’70s by a rock anthem that delivered a bold message about love and marriage.

The Georgia Satellites barreled through the airwaves with "Keep Your Hands to Yourself." The song became an instant crowd-pleaser, climbing the charts with its cheeky lyrics and throwback Southern rock swagger that felt ripped straight from another decade.

In an era dominated by glossy production, the song delivered gritty, no-frills Southern rock, with guitar riffs that felt old-school. The song’s playful take on love, marriage, and “no hugging, no kissing” allowed it to keep itself from taking itself too seriously, making it fun and relatable.

'Keep Your Hands to Yourself" was released in November 1986 and shot to the top of the Billboard charts by February 1987. It was stopped short of the No. 1 position by Bon Jovi's juggernaut, "Livin' On a Prayer."

To Rolling Stone, Dan Baird, the band's lead singer and guitarist, said of the song, "Somebody made the comment that it was the song that saved rock and roll and ruined country music at the same time. It meant it brought rock & roll back to its roots for a few minutes, but it turned the corner on country being afraid of dumb loud guitars.”

He continued, “We were a rock & roll band that the NASCAR people picked up on. The death of Ronnie Van Zant left such a gaping hole that country music could fit in Jason and the Scorchers, the Kentucky Headhunters, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and us."

The Georgia Satellites would have another unforgettable song, featured in the Tom Cruise movie Cocktail. Although it never passed No. 45 on the Billboard charts, "Hippy Hippy Shake" was an infectious remake of a song first recorded by rockabilly artist Chan Romero in 1959, and covered by British bands The Swinging Blue Jeans and The Beatles.

The Georgia Satellites continue to perform live, four decades after they first burst onto the scene with their gritty Southern rock sound. And when they launch into “Keep Your Hands to Yourself,” it’s still the kind of crowd-pleasing moment that feels like 1986 (or the early '70s) all over again.

1999 Hit Was No. 1 26 Years Ago Today—After Boyz II Men Turned It Down

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 5:11am

Twenty-six years ago today, Lonestar wasn’t just having a country hit—they were about to pull off something rarely seen in modern chart history.

On March 4, 2000, the band’s power ballad “Amazed” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, completing a country-to-pop crossover run that made it one of the biggest mainstream hits of the era.

RELATED: 45 Years Ago Today, Country Legend Scored Their First and Only No. 1 Hit on the Billboard Hot 100

The song had already been a monster on the country side. “Amazed” spent eight consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart in 1999, making it the group’s longest-running country chart-topper and biggest signature hit.

Written by Marv Green, Aimee Mayo and Chris Lindsey, “Amazed” was released as the second single from Lonestar’s 1999 album Lonely Grill. It quickly became a staple wedding song and one of the defining love ballads of late-’90s country-pop.

A Rare Crossover No. 1

The Hot 100 success didn’t happen by accident. After the original version crossed into pop airplay, the track was remixed for mainstream radio and re-entered the Hot 100, eventually climbing all the way to No. 1 on this date in 2000.

That No. 1 made “Amazed” the first country song to top the Billboard Hot 100 since Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton’s “Islands in the Stream” in 1983—a huge gap that underscores how rare this kind of crossover moment was.

It also wasn’t a one-chart wonder: the song reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart, proof of how widely it landed across formats at the height of its popularity.

RELATED: This 1971 Classic Ranked No. 1 ‘Acoustic Guitar Intro of All Time’

The Song Almost Went to Someone Else

One of the most surprising bits of “Amazed” lore: the song was offered to '90s R&B legends Boyz II Men first and they passed—though later, they did cover it after Lonestar had a huge with the power ballad.

Singer Shawn Stockman revealed that fun fact during the fourth season of NBC's a capella singing competition show The Sing Off when a group chose "Amazed" as their performance piece.

"Ten years ago, a record executive said, 'Hey, guys, I got this song for you to do.' So we were like, 'OK, yeah, it's nice, but, you know, give it to somebody else.' We got enough hit records, right? It was supposed to be ours first. So we have a slight history with that song, so you guys better not screw it up," said Stockman ahead of their performance.

RELATED: 1991 Hit Ranked No. 1 ‘Greatest One-Hit Wonder’ of All Time

So instead of possibly becoming a huge hit for Boyz II Men, it became the hit that elevated Lonestar from country chart regulars to genuine pop-culture crossover stars.

Over the years, “Amazed” has been covered by multiple artists, including Bonnie Tyler, Shane Filan, Duncan James and others, reinforcing how durable the song has remained long after its original run.

And Lonestar’s own story has evolved, too. The band formed in Nashville in the early 1990s and has scored more than 20 Hot Country Songs hits, including nine No. 1s. But “Amazed” remains the one that crossed the genre line most dramatically.

More than two decades later, it still stands as one of the most recognizable country love songs of its era—and one of the rare modern country records that truly went all the way to the top of pop.

The World’s First 'Double-Feature' Harry Potter Land Is Officially Coming to This Iconic Destination

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 5:10am

Muggles and wizards alike, grab your Floo powder! The Wizarding World is officially expanding in a way we’ve never seen before. Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is set to become the ultimate destination for fans of the Boy Who Lived, as new construction permits reveal a "game-changer" for theme park history.

According to a government-issued permit, the upcoming expansion will be the first and only location in the world to feature movie-accurate replicas of both Hogwarts Castle and Diagon Alley in a single land. While Universal Orlando famously features both iconic locales, they are split across two separate theme parks connected by the Hogwarts Express. In Abu Dhabi, these legendary spots are "locked in" to stand side-by-side.

The expansion, which will grow the world’s largest indoor theme park by about 26%, isn't stopping at the wand shops of London. The permits also describe a "proposed Superman coaster" and an area listed as "Fores," which industry experts believe refers to the Forbidden Forest, complete with "sinister giant spiders and soaring sentient trees."

This project marks a major shift in the industry as the first Harry Potter land not operated by Universal Studios. Instead, it is being spearheaded by Miral, the Abu Dhabi government-backed powerhouse. Miral’s chief executive, Mohamed Al Zaabi, has high expectations for the project, telling Forbes, "I'm sure the quality of the master plan, the quality of the design, will be either at the same level or I'm pushing my team to be even better than what you have seen in Warner Bros."

With an estimated price tag between $545 million and $816 million, the land aims to set a new bar for immersion. Thinkwell, the creative consultant behind the project, previously worked on the "dream ticket" backstage tour at London’s Leavesden Studios, which Al Zaabi notes "will be a gamechanger for us."

Construction is already well underway on Yas Island, with "Lexcorp" branded barriers already visible near the site of the new Superman attraction. While we wait to see if the land will be based on the original films or the upcoming HBO reboot, one thing is certain: Abu Dhabi is "just getting started" on its mission to become a global capital for movie magic.

The Genius Chocolate Chip Cookie Trick We Wish We’d Known About Sooner

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 5:06am

There are traditional chocolate chip cookies…and then there are chocolate chip cookies that make you stop mid-bite and say, "Whoa—what is that??" We’re talking deeply caramelized edges, slightly gooey centers, just the right hint of vanilla and plenty of chocolate chips.

But here’s the twist—the common pantry item that really takes your everyday chocolate chip cookie over the edge is salt. But as it turns out, it's not about putting the salt in the cookie, but rather putting it on the cookie—in the most unusual place. Intrigued? We've got you.

Like many home bakers and self-proclaimed chocolate chip cookie connoisseurs, I’ve long been a fan of sprinkling flaky salt (Maldon is my fave) on top of warm cookies straight from the oven. It looks so pretty sparkling in the light and I'm constantly craving that salty-sweet combo. But if you’ve ever watched half of that salt tumble off the domed tops the second you pick up that treat, you know the frustration is real.

Luckily, social media has a hack for this (of course it does). Enter chef Bob Morano of popular Instagram account @everydayisfeastday, who flipped the script in the simplest way possible: just move the salt.

Here’s exactly what his tip is, how it works and why bakers on the internet are calling it "Genius!!"

The Salted Bottom Chocolate Chip Cookie Trick

Courtesy of Jessica Wrubel

Morano's trick is simple. Instead of finishing cookies with salt, he seasons the sheet pan before dropping the dough down. That’s it. The result? A lightly salted bottom crust that amplifies everything you love about a classic chocolate chip cookie...without losing a single grain of that salty goodness.

The idea was born from a flavor obsession. "I was eating cookies that had coarse salt sprinkled on the top," Morano tells Parade. "It really made me start to notice the salt content of cookie recipes, specifically what that salt tasted like as the bottom of a cookie hit my palate. I remember wondering, 'I need to figure out a way to maximize that salt experience.'"

View this post on Instagram

In Morano's case, he experimented with the classic Nestlé Toll House recipe. (Well, the dough is the same, but the method shifts ever so slightly.) And somehow, that tiny adjustment makes this cookie feel brand new again.

Most importantly, this trick doesn’t mess with your cookie’s structure. "It has no effect on the outcome of the cookie, other than the salt highlights the delicacies that naturally occur in that bottom crust, allowing you to taste more of what’s going on," he says. "All I taste is the beautiful Maillard reaction and caramelization of the cookie crust with a little pop of salt.”

Instagram bakers are fully on board with Morano's trick. One commenter wrote, "Loooove the salt on the bottom idea!" Another added, "Oh, I am 1000% stealing the 'salt on the bottom' method."

How To Make Salt-On-The-Bottom Chocolate Chip Cookies

Courtesy of Jessica Wrubel

Start with your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. In Morano's case (and, therefore, mine), he used the classic Nestlé Toll House recipe—a classic hard-to-mess-up chocolate chip cookie.

Courtesy of Jessica Wrubel

Once your dough is mixed and ready to scoop, take a beat before dropping the dough onto the sheet pan. Sprinkle a light, even layer of salt directly onto the baking sheet. You don’t need much—just enough to create a subtle salted surface (I used about half a tablespoon).

Courtesy of Jessica Wrubel

No need to overthink your prep on this step, either. "I place the salt directly on the dry pan, whether I line the pan or not," he tells Parade. And yes, you have options here if you'd prefer to line the sheet pan.

Morano says the trick works with parchment or a Silpat, too (I used parchment, and it worked perfectly). As the dough bakes, the salt adheres to the underside of the cookie, delivering that savory pop right as the cookie hits your tongue.

Courtesy of Jessica Wrubel

Wondering what kind of salt to use? Morano suggests keeping it simple: "I recommend kosher salt for the bottom—it will give you the most even and 'universal' coverage," he says. "A good fine sea salt could achieve the same thing."

Courtesy of Jessica Wrubel

Morano says this trick works with any cookie recipe where you need a little extra 'oomph.'

"It will take your favorite cookie recipe to a place you can’t come back from," he shares.

My Honest Thoughts About These Cookies

I was excited to try this one since I'm forever baking cookies. I've been wowed in the past by brown butter or granulated versus brown sugar, but this tip trumped all other tricks. I'm always struggling to get the salt to stay on the top of my cookie. I either sprinkle it too late, which means it completely falls off, or it doesn't stick at all where I want it. This method solves both problems in one simple move. The payoff is that perfect salty-sweet crunch in every bite.

I loved the subtle saltiness on the underside of the cookie, but my brother, who has a surprisingly sharp palate, shared that he didn’t love how the salt hit his tongue first. Fair enough, but that's the reason I liked it! Some people want that immediate salty contrast; others prefer the flavors to melt together more seamlessly. Neither is wrong—it just depends on how you like your sweet and salty to show up.

Is Subway's New 'Super Good' Viral All Dressed Sauce Worth a Trip to Canada? The Internet Says Yes

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 4:37am

If you’ve ever shoved a handful of chips into a sandwich to achieve that perfect crunch-to-carb ratio, Subway Canada just validated your entire culinary existence. The sandwich giant has officially teamed up with Ruffles to drop a limited-edition All Dressed Sauce, and the internet is already spiraling. While Canadians are currently basking in a tangy, smoky glory, American snack enthusiasts are staring at the map and wondering how far they’re willing to drive for a condiment.

For the uninitiated, All Dressed is the undisputed heavyweight champion of Canadian snack culture. It’s a chaotic blend of barbecue, sour cream and onion, salt and vinegar, and ketchup. Now, that specific alchemy has been bottled. According to Chef John Botelho, Culinary Manager at Subway Canada, the goal was to capture that specific tang fans crave.

“The All Dressed Sauce captures all the flavours Canadians enjoy in Ruffles All Dressed chips—sweet, tangy, smoky, and savoury—and turns it into a bold, irresistible topping for any sub,” Botelho stated. He noted that the inspiration came directly from the fans who have been "getting playful by adding chips right into their subs for extra crunch and flavour."

The sauce is a cross-brand event that taps into a deep sense of Canadiana and nostalgia.. Kelly Bateman, Director of Marketing at PepsiCo Canada, noted that “All Dressed is one of Canada’s most iconic homegrown flavours, and seeing it come to life beyond the chip aisle is something we’re incredibly proud of.”

Subway

The partnership is being hailed as a “fun and uniquely Canadian moment for both our brands,” and the FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) south of the border is palpable. As soon as the news hit social media, U.S.-based foodies began the inevitable campaign to bring the sauce stateside. It’s a classic case of the grass is greener, except in this case, the grass is seasoned with a hint of vinegar and smoke. American customers have long envied Canada’s exclusive chip flavors, and seeing them transformed into a "one-of-a-kind sauce" that delivers the "unmistakable punch in every bite" has only added fuel to the fire.

The internet hasn't just been watching; they’ve been tasting. On the r/subway subreddit, the consensus is building that this limited-time drop lives up to the hype. One early adopter shared their rave review: "It's actually great. Tried it today. Would go great on fries." The enthusiasm isn't just limited to sandwiches, either. Fans are already brainstorming ways to use the sauce as a universal dip, highlighting its versatility beyond the bread.

Whether you’re drizzling it over a classic Turkey Breast or using it to elevate a Veggie Delite, the All Dressed Sauce is a bold play in the ongoing Flavor Wars. For now, the sauce is available nationwide across Canada, made with what the brand promises are "quality ingredients" and a whole lot of swagger.

For those of us in the States? We’ll be refreshing our feeds, waiting for a Stateside announcement, or looking for our passports. After all, when two icons like Subway and Ruffles join forces, the result is bound to be, well, all dressed up with everywhere to go.

1975 No. 1 One-Hit Wonder Only Had Five Words In It

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 4:25am

In 1975, Van McCoy and the Soul City Symphony topped the charts with the song “The Hustle.” The disco/dance song was released on April 18, 1975, and hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on July 26, 1975, where it remained for one week.

“The Hustle” was a standout for several reasons. Written by McCoy, who was a record producer and arranger, the song featured a lead melody which was played on a piccolo by session musician Philip Bodner. "The Hustle" also featured electronic pianos and horn and string sections directed by arranger Gene Orloff, according to Songfacts.

In addition, the hit song only contained five words. The only lyrics in “The Hustle” are “Do the hustle,” which is repeated 11 times throughout the song. The other lyric, “Do it,” is said five times.

McCoy went on to win the Grammy Award for best pop instrumental performance for “The Hustle” at the 18th Annual Grammy Awards in 1976.

The dawn of a dance craze

“The Hustle” song helped make the Hustle dance craze a phenomenon. The partner dance, which originated in Latino neighborhoods in the South Bronx in the early 1970s, caught McCoy’s attention. The songwriter was so inspired by news of the dance style that he wrote “The Hustle” with only an hour of studio time left while making his album Disco Baby.

According to The New York Times, McCoy told Black Stars magazine in 1975, “I hadn't even seen the dance when I wrote the song.”

The Billboard Book of Number 1 Hits quoted McCoy telling Essence magazine that he almost didn’t write the song. "'The Hustle' was the last cut we did on the album, and we almost didn't do it," McCoy said. "I was introduced to the hustle by a disc jockey (David Todd) at a New York City nightclub called the Adam's Apple. He'd been after me for a while to come and check out this new dance, but I just never had the chance, so I sent one of my friends."

While McCoy initially felt the new style his friend showed him seemed “strange,” he also likened it to ballroom dance and quickly wrote the song about it.

"We had just one hour of studio time left, so I sat down and wrote whatever came into my head,” he shared. “Even after I finished 'The Hustle,' I wasn't excited because outside of the Latin market and the New York discos, I wasn't aware of how popular the dance had become. I had no idea when I threw it together that it was going to be the hit it is."

“The Hustle” went on to sell more than 10 million records, and it became the dance hit of the ‘70s, per Smithsonian magazine. It was McCoy’s only Top 40 hit before his death in 1979 at age 39.

4 Core Traits of People Born on the 11th, Per Numerology

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 4:17am

All birth dates embody spiritual energy, but those born on the 11th are especially blessed by the universe. According to numerology, 11 is one of the few master numbers. Master numbers typically have two identical digits that exude a unique energy, because they don’t have to be reduced to a single digit. However, numerologists can still break 11 down into 1 and 2 by adding 1+1 to get 2. Either way, people born on the 11th are guided by this master number, so they have a unique spiritual vibration.  Read on to discover the numerological significance of 11, challenges to watch for, and four core personality traits that define you.

The Numerological Significance of Number 11

Unlike other double-digit numbers, 11 doesn’t have to be broken down into single-digit numbers because it’s a Master Number. Numerology says Master Numbers are singular, so they can remain as double-digits. 11 represents a divine spiritual connection, so people who embrace 11’s energy are enlightened. They operate with an otherworldly awareness. Some numerologists believe they’re a channel for Spirit. Others consider these individuals dreamers. Either way, 11 influences idealism and spirituality in people.

However, if one were to break down 11 into single-digit numbers, 11 would align with 1 and 2 in numerology. 1 represents an independent spirit, so those who embody 1 are curious and adventurous. 2 is a moody number, which means people who embrace 2 are highly sensitive and perceptive. When 1 and 2 come together, these people will deeply value interdependent relationships and inclusivity while still maintaining a sense of selfhood outside of their connections.

Those who embrace the energy of 11 are guided by the moon. Astrology says the Moon represents a secret self, intuition, and emotional processing. Since the moon governs people born on the 11th, they will feel everything deeply. Their keen intuition can develop into psychic skills and abilities over time. Soothing and peaceful Amethyst complements this planetary energy.

Challenges to Watch For

Could someone who was born on the 11th face challenges despite being influenced by a Master Number? Short answer, yes.

Although Master Numbers possess otherworldly strengths and talents, this doesn’t absolve 11 from potential issues. Those born on the 11th are known for being idealistic and dreamy, which can become a challenge if left unchecked. They may not be as grounded and realistic about their goals, so this could present potential issues if they struggle with impracticality. It might be challenging talking to someone born on the 11th if they’re not mindful of potential outcomes, consequences, and so much more. These individuals are also extremely sensitive, so they may struggle with an overworked nervous system.

Core Personality Traits of Those Born on the 11th1. Inclusive Leaders

Everyone’s thoughts and feelings matter to those born on the 11th. Inclusivity is a must, especially if they hold a leadership role or authority. They’re very concerned with doing what’s right not just for themselves, but for everyone. Usually, people born on the 11th go on to hold a lot of power in their work lives and social circles thanks to their mindfulness. Others naturally elect these individuals to be in charge, because they’re considerate and thoughtful leaders.

2. Awakened & Enlightened

Spiritually gifted individuals are born on the 11th. They’re influenced by the Master Number 11 that’s known for being enlightened. It’s not unlikely for these individuals to go through a dark night of the soul. They spend a lot of time, energy, and effort working on themselves. Strengthening their bond with the universe can be accomplished in therapy or through shadow work. Either way, they’re destined to have a special connection with the spirit realm and universe due to having a spiritual awakening.

3. Dream It, Do It

Nothing is impossible if someone is born on the 11th. These individuals have a fantastical outlook on life. Anything is possible to these idealistic dreamers as long as they’re grounded. If they’re grounded and realistic about what a venture may require, they have immense potential to make leaps and bounds. They know they can shift timelines by accomplishing their wildest dreams. It’s not unlikely that the most successful person you know is born on the 11th.

4. Balanced Determination

People born on the 11th know they have what it takes to go the distance. The numerological energies of 1 and 2 bestow a balanced determination to these individuals. However, they must work on calming their nervous system. Once they find mental and emotional balance, they’ll have the clarity necessary to pursue their goals. Nothing will be out of reach as long as these individuals maintain their inner peace. Feeling aligned is of the utmost importance if they want to go the distance.

I am not the best at taking my makeup off, especially after a night out. It's an absolutely terrible habit, and one I'm determined to break. In doing more research on the method, I stumbled across this cleansing oil at Sephora. Based on the rave reviews and the product's promise, it's safe to say I'm definitely intrigued.

Disneyland’s Viral $50 Starbucks Cherry Blossom Tumbler Drops Alongside a New Haunted Mansion Must-Have

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 4:04am

The race for the latest Disney it accessory just hit a fever pitch at the Anaheim parks. If you thought the Stanley craze was intense, you might want to hold on to your Mickey Mouse ears. Disneyland has officially dropped a duo of drinkware that captures the spooky-meets-soft aesthetic currently dominating social media feeds. Whether you’re a Grim Grinning Ghost or a Cherry Blossom Girlie, your beverage game is about to get a major upgrade.

For those who prefer their hydration with a side of supernatural flair, the Haunted Mansion Tumbler has arrived to claim its place on your desk. Priced at $39.99, this isn't your average park souvenir. It’s a sleek, black vessel with stainless steel accents that screams Executive Goth.

The design is minimalist but carries all the lore fans crave. According to the Disney blog WDW News Today, it features a "large white 'Haunted Mansion' logo on the font and a white outline of Disneyland’s version of the Haunted Mansion on the back." To complete the eerie vibe, "bats fly above the mansion as well." The hardware is just as functional as it is aesthetic: "the cap of the tumbler is black with a black handle, while the inside of the tumbler is stainless steel." You can find this piece of the afterlife at Madame Leota’s Somewhere Beyond in New Orleans Square.

If the Haunted Mansion is for the night owls, the Mickey Cherry Blossom Tumbler is for the early risers hitting the park for that perfect golden hour photo. This $49.99 Starbucks collaboration is a pastel fever dream, featuring a pink and blue ombre tumbler with what the blog describes as an "all-over pattern of pink cherry blossoms with pink Mickey heads blending in with the petals."

The detail that is currently sending collectors into a frenzy? The straw accessory. "The tumbler comes with a straw that has a pink topper shaped like a Starbucks cup," says WDW News, adding a meta-layer of brand synergy that feels incredibly current. "One side of the topper is printed with a pink Mickey head, while the other side is printed with a green Starbucks logo," ensuring everyone knows your coffee is both high-end and high-magic. Unlike its spooky counterpart, "the cap and inside of the tumbler are clear," giving it a light, airy feel perfect for a spring stroll down Main Street, U.S.A.

As any seasoned Disney veteran knows, these won't stay on the shelves for long. The blog tracked down the Mickey cherry blossom tumbler at the Emporium, while the Haunted Mansion version remains anchored in its namesake territory. Both items are currently live at the Disneyland Resort, but with Disney Adult culture and resellers moving faster than the Incredicoaster, you might want to skip the churro line and head straight for the checkout.

In a world of fast fashion and fleeting trends, these tumblers offer a rare mix of high-quality utility and legitimate pop culture street cred. Whether you’re sipping a Cold Brew or a Mint Julep, Disneyland just gave us two more reasons to keep our wallets open and our thirst quenched.

Few areas of the home receive as much foot traffic as the entryway. It makes sense that it might get a little cluttered from time to time. Between keys, mail, bags, and other assorted items, the space can quickly develop a disarrayed feeling if there isn't a spot dedicated to helping you control the chaos.

A sleek piece of furniture like the Furnulem Entryway Table can make all the difference, bringing both style and function to the space. It's simultaneously warm and industrial, and it strikes just the right balance if you're looking for something that suits either a transitional or more modern space. Reduced from its usual $56 to just $40 at Amazon, it's also an excellent deal right now.

Courtes

Coming in at 31.5 inches long by 9.4 inches deep by 30.9 inches tall, it boasts a relatively streamlined profile that makes it a good fit for even narrower entryways. If your room is more compact or you want to set it up in a hallway, this won't overwhelm the space. The neutral color palette blends soft brown with crisp black, so it will blend in nicely with most existing shades.

The table boasts a slightly rustic vibe with its wood-look top and matching fabric drawer. It's extremely spacious, with plenty of open mesh shelving to hold nearly anything. This can be a great spot to keep storage bins, stacks of books, houseplants, magazines, or even shoes. The space beneath the drawer is high enough to accommodate taller items, while the three shelves on the side make it even easier to organize your essentials and maintain a cohesive look.

Several shoppers mentioned its durability, too. The top can support up to 66 pounds, while the shelves each have a capacity of 22 pounds. You can comfortably fill it up without worry thanks to the combination of robust MDF and sturdy metal. It's quick to assemble, too, with no tools necessary.

"Attractive storage solution," one reviewer wrote, adding that the shelves feel "heavy-duty." Another person added that it's "very cute and sturdy." Many shoppers pointed out the table's versatility, with customers sharing they've used it in craft rooms, bedrooms, and hallways to give their living spaces a bit more structure.

Dunkin' Confirms Jam-Packed Spring Menu Update and Introduces a New Kind of Energy Drink—Here's Everything to Expect

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 4:00am

You can tell a lot about a person based on where they like to get their coffee. If Starbucks is your cafe of choice, you probably appreciate your java with a little sophistication. You're someone who respects the craft of making a latte to some degree, and you've likely played around with making your own cappuccinos at home. You're not exactly a certifiable coffee sommelier, but you can tell when your usual beverage is missing something. On the other hand, if you're more of a Dunkin' diehard, then you probably prefer to live life a little more on the wild side.

For you, coffee is less about the craft and more about getting your caffeine fix before you can actually start your day. You might prefer a trendier beverage, something with some variety, and you definitely get out of bed for donuts. If you're more of the latter, then you're in for a real treat because the beloved coffee chain is pulling out all the stops for its jam-packed new spring menu, which officially drops today. After it was widely speculated about last month, Dunkin' has finally confirmed its stacked spring lineup, and you might just want to take a seat for this one.

Dunkin' Goes Bananas for Spring

To kick things off, Dunkin' is going bananas and offering Banana Syrup for the first time ever, along with Banana Cold Foam that you can enjoy in a variety of ways. In addition to adding the nostalgic flavor to any of your favorite beverages, Dunkin' is whipping up its own creations, including:

  • Banana Puddin' Cloud Latte: Espresso with whole milk and banana flavor, finished with Banana Cold Foam.
  • Banana Daydream Refresher: Strawberry Dragonfruit, Mango Pineapple, or Berry Acai Refresher blended with oatmilk and topped with Banana Cold Foam.
  • Bananarama Matcha: Matcha latte made with whole milk, matcha and banana flavor.
  • Monkey Business Cloud Latte: Whole milk swirled with espresso and butter pecan flavors, topped with Banana Cold Foam.
  • Nutty Banana Cloud Dunkalatte: Espresso, coffee milk and hazelnut flavor, topped with Banana Cold Foam.

You can also try a Banana Protein Latte, Chocolate Covered Banana Iced Coffee, or Banana Crème Iced Coffee. To further celebrate the exciting new flavor, Dunkin' will also drop limited-edition banana-themed merch that fans can purchase exclusively on Dunkin's website in the coming week. As if that wasn't already enough to get excited about, the chain also announced the launch of Dunkin' Zero, a new zero-sugar energy drink available in several fruit-forward varieties. The lineup includes:

  • Blackberry Tangerine
  • Tropical Mango
  • Juicy Peach
  • Glamberry (Blackberry Tangerine + Juicy Peach)
  • Sunzest (Tropical Mango + Juicy Peach)
  • Blushpop (Blackberry Tangerine + Tropical Mango)

The energizing new drinks are lightly carbonated and deliver only 20 calories for a medium and 145 milligrams of caffeine. For comparison, that's about as much caffeine as there is in two shots of espresso. In celebration of the new menu addition, Dunkin' Rewards members can enjoy $3 Medium Dunkin' Zero drinks after 1 p.m. from March 4–18. You'd think they'd stop there, but of course, there's more. Dunkin' is also adding Berry Acai to its growing line of Dunkin' Refreshers, and just ahead of National Proposal Day on March 20, fans can grab the new Wedding Cake Munchkins. The festive new treat is a blueberry Munchkins Donut Hole coated with wedding-cake-flavored sprinkles.

To sweeten the deal even further, Dunkin' is bringing back its popular $6 Meal Deal, featuring a Bacon, Egg & Cheese breakfast sandwich, crispy hash browns, and a medium hot or iced coffee. Dunkin' Rewards members can also enjoy limited-time offers throughout March, including:

  • Mobile Mondays: Order ahead on Mondays and get 100 bonus points
  • March 4 through 18: $3 Medium Dunkin' Zero energy drinks after 1 p.m.
  • March 23: Earn 4x points on all Wake-Up Wraps

Talk about March Madness! Surprisingly, Dunkin' still kept a little bit under wraps, but alluded to more surprises to come later this month. We don't know how much more we can take, but maybe a Nutty Banana Cloud Dunkalatte will help. Which drink are you most excited for?
