32 Years Ago, Aerosmith Won a Grammy for Best Rock Performance with This Hit Song
Aerosmithis looking back on the moment they won their second Grammy award.
On Sunday, March 1, the legendary rock band marked exactly 32 years since they won Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal at the 1994 Grammy Awards for their hit song 'Livin' on the Edge."
Aerosmith shared a flashback post to social media earlier this week to mark the anniversary of earning their second Grammy, which was presented to them by Vanessa Williams and Meat Loaf on March 1, 1994.
As seen in the throwback clip, the band went on stage to accept the award and thank the Recording Academy for the honor, while frontman Steven Tyler said into the microphone, "Thank you very much."
He then quipped to the crowd, "You'd be surprised how expensive it costs to look this cheap."

Aerosmith would go on to win a total of four Grammys, each in the Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal category. In 1995, the band won the award for their song "Crazy," followed by another win in 1999 with "Pink."

2008 Hit Ranked ‘Best Action Thriller’ of the Century
When The Dark Knight hit theaters in 2008, it did far more than continue a popular superhero franchise.
Now, the film has been ranked the “Best Action Thriller of the Century” by Collider, underscoring just how transformative the movie has been for modern blockbuster filmmaking.
Directed by Christopher Nolan, The Dark Knight follows Bruce Wayne, better known as Batman and played by Christian Bale, as he confronts his most dangerous enemy yet: the Joker, portrayed by Heath Ledger. The now legendary villain sets out to plunge Gotham City into chaos, testing the limits of its protectors and forcing them to confront uncomfortable moral choices.
As Batman works alongside Police Commissioner James Gordon, played by Gary Oldman, and district attorney Harvey Dent, played by Aaron Eckhart, the Joker relentlessly pushes each character toward a breaking point. The film's central tension revolves around how far someone should go in the pursuit of justice and whether the fight against evil can corrupt even the most well-intentioned heroes.
Nolan's film is more than your everyday superhero movie. Rather than relying solely on spectacle, The Dark Knight unfolds as a sweeping crime epic rooted in psychological drama and ethical dilemmas. Its tightly constructed story rarely pauses for breath, building tension scene by scene until its explosive conclusion.
Heath Ledger as the Joker in The Dark Night. (Photo by Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images)At the center of the film's lasting legacy is Ledger's unforgettable performance as the Joker. Equal parts terrifying and unpredictable, the character became one of the most iconic villains in movie history. Ledger described the Joker as a "psychopathic, mass-murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy," in a 2007 interview with The New York Times.
During filming, Ledger struggled to separate himself from his work, diving so fully into the role that he began losing sleep over it. "Last week I probably slept an average of two hours a night," he said. “I couldn’t stop thinking. My body was exhausted, and my mind was still going."
Ledger passed away shortly after the film was completed. He posthumously won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, cementing the role as one of the most celebrated performances ever seen in a comic-book adaptation.
Beyond its awards and box-office success, The Dark Knight helped redefine what audiences expected from blockbuster cinema. Nolan's grounded storytelling and complex themes influenced countless films that followed, proving that superhero stories could tackle mature ideas without compromising thrilling action sequences.
More than 15 years after its release, The Dark Knight continues to stand as a landmark film, not just within the Batman franchise, but across the entire landscape of modern action cinema.
Frito-Lay Issues Recall on Popular Potato Chips in Select States
Shoppers in several states may want to take a closer look at recent snack purchases. A voluntary action announced this week affects a limited run of potato chips distributed earlier this year to grocery stores, convenience stores, drug stores and select online retailers.
Frito-Lay says the affected Miss Vickie's chips were shipped beginning around mid-January and were sold in six states. While the product remains safe for many people, those with certain food allergies are urged to check specific package details and act accordingly.
Undeclared Milk Prompts Voluntary Allergy AlertLiudmyla Chuhunova / Shutterstock.com
According to Frito-Lay, select eight-ounce bags of Miss Vickie's Spicy Dill Pickle Potato Chips may contain jalapeño-flavored chips that include milk, an ingredient not declared on the label. For individuals with a milk allergy or severe sensitivity, consuming the product could lead to a serious or potentially life-threatening allergic reaction.
The company initiated a voluntary recall after being alerted to the issue through a consumer contact. Frito-Lay stated that no allergic reactions linked to this matter have been reported to date.
The impacted bags were distributed in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. No other Miss Vickie's flavors, sizes or variety pack offerings are included in the recall.
Frito-Lay has notified the U.S. Food and Drug Administration of the action. The agency is expected to formally classify the recall in accordance with its standard process.

How to Identify the Affected BagsConsumers should check for eight-ounce bags with the UPC 0 28400 76177 2 printed on the back of the package. The affected products also display a "Guaranteed Fresh" date of April 21, 2026, along with one of two specific manufacturing codes printed near the date on the front right side of the bag.
If a bag matches both the date and one of the listed manufacturing codes, consumers who have a milk allergy or sensitivity should not eat the product and should discard it. According to the company, those without a dairy allergy are not considered at risk.
Anyone with questions can contact the brand's consumer hotline at 1-877-984-2543 during weekday business hours or visit the company's official website for more information.
As with any food recall involving an undeclared allergen, shoppers are encouraged to review product details carefully and take appropriate precautions.

This Legendary ‘SNL’ Digital Short Turns 20 Today — And Fans Still Love It
The beloved Saturday Night Live short, "Natalie's Rap," starring Academy Award-winning actress Natalie Portman, has turned 20!
The digital short, which originally aired on March 4, 2006, featured a fictionalized version of Portman being interviewed by a reporter played by then-SNL cast member Chris Parnell. In the short, Portman shared unexpected and very explicit details about her daily life.
SNL fans shared their appreciation for the digital short in a March 4 Reddit thread. Quite a few commenters stated that the moment from SNL's 31st season still holds up.
"I used to watch this almost every day when it first came out lol," wrote a commenter.
"This is amazing," added another.
"i’ve seen maybe a handful of good SNL sketches in the last 20 years but nothing will compare to this," shared a different person.
"All these years later and I still remember all the lyrics. Iconic," chimed in a fan.
"This goes so hard," shared a commenter.
Seth Meyers & Members of The Lonely Island Shared Details About Natalie Portman's Digital Short"Natalie's Rap" was written by the comedy group The Lonely Island, which consists of Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone. Samberg, Schaffer, and Taccone, who all began working at SNL in 2005, discussed the digital short during a 2024 episode of their and Seth Meyers' podcast, The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers Podcast.
Meyers, who was an SNL cast member and head writer, described the digital short as "a seminal moment in celebrity rap history."
According to Taccone, Portman, who was a fan of The Lonely Island's 2005 digital short "Lazy Sunday," had told the trio that she was interested in performing a rap song while hosting her SNL episode.
"Natalie came in, it was on Monday, and was like, 'Hey, let's do a song.' And she wanted to do a rap song, as I recall. But we were like, 'I don't know if we can do that. You got to come kind of hard if you're going to do that,'" said Taccone.
Taccone said that Portman responded by performing a Lil' Kim rap, which impressed him, Samberg, and Schaffer. The group then began writing "Natalie's Rap," which they thought would be hilarious as fans of the Harvard graduate wouldn't expect her to be so crass.
"She was the princess in those Star Warsmovies and she had graduated from Harvard and everybody thought she was perfect, it had to go as far as it could go," said Schaffer on the podcast episode.
Samberg, Schaffer, and Taccone also shared that the song was in homage to Eazy-E's "No More ?'s" and Sir Mix-a-Lot's "Posse' on Broadway."
Sarah J. Maas Just Announced Not 1 But 2 New 'ACOTAR' Books
OK. We’re not going to bury the lead here: Author Sarah J. Maas has just announced that two new ACOTAR books are on the way.
Sitting down with host Alex Cooper for the latest episode of her Call Her Daddypodcast, Maas capped off a wide-ranging conversation with the major news.
“I’ve been working and working,” she said. “It’s been a long time coming. It took me a long time to write [these books].”
She shared that she'd been working through “lots of things” and needed to get in the “right headspace” before the next chapters in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series could “pour out of her.” Finding inspiration in Big Sky Montana, where “there’s some kind of energy vortex,” she said it all clicked and the chapters began writing themselves.
The first book will drop Oct. 27, with the second book dropping in January. Without giving too much detail away, she said the next installment of ACOTAR will be told in four parts: the first part in book one, the second and third parts in book two, and the conclusion coming later.
“Part one was this huge thing,” she explained, speaking to how the story is broken up over multiple books, “and parts two and three were really long. Part four is yet to be written. … It's meant to be read as one massive, massive story. It’s not a trilogy. I’ve never told a story that way, but I wasn’t going to be held back.”
Maas was coy when Cooper pressed her on other details like book length, titles, and cover details; Maas revealed nothing, but the plot twist of a two-book release will have to tide fans over for now.
Other than revelatory ACOTAR news, Maas and Cooper engaged in a discussion that was raw, real, funny, and at times pretty dark. In a 90-minute chat that played out like a breakthrough therapy session, the episode, titled “The Wait Is Over” covered harrowing pregnancy stories, Maas’ crush on Orlando Bloom, and struggles with mental health. Oh, and the author’s love for Diet Coke and Cheetohs. Because, obviously.

Who Got Voted Off 'Survivor 50' Tonight? A High-Stakes Idol-Hiding Heist!
Last week's premiere of Survivor 50 was the most-watched episode of the CBS reality series in four years — and for good reason! To say the milestone season started off with a bang would be an understatement. The cast of 24 all-stars hit the beach ready to play, with some long-term rivalries squashed, while others reignited. The first vote of the season blindsided one of the show's original players, but we all got walloped at the end of the three-hour episode with a devastating medevac.
So where do we go from here? This week's episode was one marked by dual storylines of tension and cooperation. The "Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol" led to yet another cross-tribal connection, which may be the saving grace for one player. Arguments flared up both between and within tribes, leaving multiple people on the chopping block. And two players decided to mount a high-stakes idol gambit, setting up what should hopefully be an incredibly exciting Tribal Council moment down the line.
Here's our spoiler-filled recap of tonight's episode of Survivor 50, including who went home.
Robert Voets/CBS
Savannah LouieSavannah Louie's five-day journey on Survivor 50 was marked with a series of unknowns. The Season 49 winner was one of the biggest X-factors of the cast, with the other players having not seen her season. As a result, she decided to come clean immediately to her tribe about her success, hoping to set up a trustworthy perception. Unfortunately, anything she was building up tumbled like a precariously stacked tower of blocks once she went on a journey.
Defeating Colby Donaldson, she won a secret "Block-a-Vote," and chose to lie to her tribe about it. But it wasn't long before they became wary of what she was saying, convinced (correctly) she had an advantage. Going back to Tribal Council, Savnnah's plans of a foursome with her Joe Hunter, Ozzy Lusth and Rick Devens blew up when Joe and Rick got into a fight. And so she went along with the plan to target Ozzy, hoping people would similarly go after his tight alliance with Cirie Fields. But, as they say, the devil you know is better than the devil you don't. Feeling Savannah was showcasing how dangerous she was with her secretive gameplay, she was taken out in a unanimous vote. And, despite her "mean girl" perception from her winning season, Savannah was in happy tears as her torch got snuffed for the first time, grateful to have come back just ten days later and showcase how vulnerable she had become from the game.

Were any idols or advantages found or played on Survivor 50 last night?Yes! As was speculated by some Survivor fans, there seems to be a "Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol" hidden at each tribe's camp. This time, Christian Hubicki was the one to acquire the new advantage. He decided to pick Aubry Bracco for the recipient, hoping it would create a bond between fellow superfan strategists. The fun part is, Aubry's tribe had just gone through her bag, fearful she had an idol. So, just when their worries were assuaged, their worst fears have actually come true!
Ozzy vs. Coach! Rick vs. Joe!Given all of the drama that went down with Benjamin "Coach" Wade snaking Ozzy for the key in the "Fight for Supplies," as well as the retelling of what happened across tribes, it was only a matter of time before a confrontation happened between the two men. That matter of time, it turned out, was the Reward Challenge. Coach set the record straight on what happened, saying, "I want everybody to know this is the same Coach you've always seen. I'm playing this game with as much dignity as possible. I've been playing this game the way I've always played it for 101 freaking days."
"Yeah, I think he is playing the way he always played it," Ozzy added. "At least the last time I played with him."
Little did Ozzy know he would be witnessing another rivalry brewing on his own beach. Throughout the episode, Rick complained about Joe's play style, saying he essentially had to "work around him." When Rick pulled Joe aside, but refused to talk to about their alliance, it sent red flags up to the fire captain. After the Immunity Challenge, the two hashed things out, and tension boiled over.
"Just to defend my game," Joe said, "which you said you never wanted to work with or can't work with—"
"You're twisting my s—t up," replied Rick, rolling his eyes. "If you don't have time for me, that's one thing."
The former newscaster's fury had him going after Joe, arguing he was impossible to play with due to his "inflexible" gameplay. For what it's worth, the two were able to get on the same page eventually to vote out Savannah. But we shall see if this argument bears out during next week's tribe swap.

A real idol found — and a fake one hiddenAs mentioned above, Christian found the idol on his tribe's beach this episode. In the scramble before Tribal Council, he decided to reveal this to arguably his number one ally, Rick. And so the "idol hound" went full Captain Kirk, coming up with a plan equal parts dangerous and devious. Using the wrapping from Christian's idol, they would create a fake one and hide it in the Tribal Council set. That way, should they ever need to make a last-minute gambit, they could pretend they discovered something to hopefully save them from elimination.
And so, while that night's vote was far from tense, what happened next was. As Savannah walked out of the game, Rick slowly put his hand into his bag. Getting up to grab his torch, Christian staged a fall, drawing everyone's attention. It was the perfect distraction for Rick, who slipped the fake in right next to the fire pit. We shall see how — and when — either one will pull it out to cause some textbook Tribal Council fireworks.

Blake Shelton Reveals How He and Gwen Stefani Are 'Stepping it Up' Months After Divorce Rumors Swirled
Blake Shelton is trading tabloid rumors for tomato plants this year.
The singer shared a video from his Oklahoma property on Wednesday, March 4, revealing how he and wife Gwen Stefani are planning to “step it up” this year, just months after speculation about their marriage circulated online. Shelton, 49, posted the clip to Instagram with the caption: “We're doing it.. we're really doing it this year... @gwenstefani and I are stepping it up!!!!”
In the video, the country star gave fans a casual update from his land as spring approaches. “OK guys, it's Blake Shelton, coming at you from Oklahoma, getting close to springtime,” he said while showing off his tractor and garden setup.
Shelton explained that he and Stefani, 56, had already started putting in serious work preparing their vegetable beds. “So this year we decided we're gonna do some actual real professional gardening, farming type stuff out here, me and my wife,” he said. “Anyway, me and my wife, her name is Gwen, we were out here putting this plastic out yesterday just she and I, nobody else.”
View this post on InstagramWhile the project hasn’t exactly been easy, Shelton joked that the effort will pay off once planting season gets underway. “It sucked, it's hard work, but we're going to plant vegetables in here to keep the weeds out,” he said. “I guess we're gonna poke holes in that and put, you know, tomatoes and peppers and squash and cucumbers.”
Shelton admitted he isn’t exactly known for loving vegetables, adding with a laugh, “I don't eat any, any vegetables in the first place, but it's fun.” What he’s especially excited about, however, is expanding one particular crop this year. “But here's what I'm really excited about,” he said. “It's gonna be my sweet corn patch this year.”
The lighthearted update comes after Shelton addressed online speculation earlier this year about his marriage to Stefani. In a January interview with Country Countdown USA, the singer said he began seeing headlines claiming the two had split.
“Starting in October, I think, or maybe November, I started noticing these articles popping up about ‘Blake and Gwen, they’re split up, they’re not even seeing each other anymore, they’re going through a divorce,’” he said, laughing at how quickly the story would switch whenever the couple was spotted together again.
For now, Shelton seems more focused on spring planting than internet rumors—and if his plan works out, the couple’s Oklahoma garden could be their biggest harvest yet.

Originally operating as Silver Dollar City Tennessee, the theme park was once a small regional attraction, but it became a world-class destination on May 3, 1986, after it underwent rebranding, thanks to the partnership with the music icon, and later became a premier tourism hub in her home county.
Now, Dollywood has been named the number one amusement park in the United States, as cited by Tripadvisor as part of its prestigious Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best.
The ranking placed the Tennessee theme park among the top attractions in the world, surpassing the iconic Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Universal Studios in Florida, mainly due to the large number of positive reviews and high ratings that Dollywood received from visitors over a 12-month period.

Beyond the nostalgic charm of its natural woodland setting, Dollywood offers entertaining rides, from family-friendly favorites to heart-pounding roller coasters.
As mentioned by USA Today 10 BEST, it has the world’s fastest wooden roller coaster ride, the Lightning Rod. It also won Amusement Today’s Golden Ticket Award for Best New Attraction in 2016.
A fan favorite, the Dollywood Express, offers a 20-minute ride through the picturesque foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains and the Dollywood park while aboard an authentic 110-ton coal-fired steam engine.
Apart from the entertaining shows and excellent rides, the Tennessee theme park is also celebrated for its cuisine, highlighting southern comfort food.
It not only offers authentic Appalachian recipes but also includes recipes from the country star’s personal kitchen.
Some of the must-try foods are their signature items like the cinnamon bread at The Grist Mill, the 25-pound apple pie at Spotlight Bakery, the pulled pork served at Hickory House BBQ and the Big Skillet Meals at Market Square.
While Dollywood is very dear to Parton’s heart, she revealed that the reason she created it was to give back to her home region.
“I dreamed of making it in the music (industry) and, of course, if you make it in whatever your dream may be, then you're fortunate enough to be able to do so many different things,” she told Knox News in 2023, as cited by USA Today “(I hoped to) come back and build something to make my parents proud, and make the people that I grew up with, my family and my neighbors (proud)."
For Parton, it is clearly more than a theme park but also a labor of love and a tribute to her roots.

Trader Joe's Just Added a Korean Twist to This Creamy Pasta
Trader Joe's shoppers know the feeling. You're walking through the freezer aisle, not planning to buy anything new, and then something catches your eye. Suddenly, you're holding a bag of something you didn't know existed five seconds ago.
That's pretty much the story with Trader Joe's new Spicy Alfredo Fusilloni Pasta. The frozen meal combines classic Alfredo sauce with gochujang, the Korean fermented chili paste known for its sweet, savory flavor and gentle heat. It's not a combination you see every day, but somehow it just makes sense once you taste it.

A Creamy Pasta With a Subtle KickThis is still very much a comfort-food pasta. The sauce blends cream, butter, and grated cheese into a rich Alfredo base most people already know and love. The gochujang adds a little extra depth and warmth without taking over the dish.
One of the biggest things people notice right away is the pasta shape. Trader Joe's uses fusilloni, which is basically giant spiral pasta. The larger noodles give the dish a heartier feel and help the sauce cling to every twist rather than slide off.
Everything comes frozen in the bag, including small blocks of sauce that melt down as the pasta heats. Once warmed, the sauce turns surprisingly creamy rather than separating into oily or watery layers like some frozen Alfredo sauces.
The word "spicy" in the name might make some people hesitate, but most shoppers say the heat level is pretty mild. It's more of a subtle kick than a full-on spicy dish.
Easy Ways to Turn It Into a Full DinnerWhile the pasta works on its own, it also makes an easy base for a quick meal. Adding a few extra ingredients can turn it into something more filling without much effort. Shrimp is an easy upgrade since it cooks quickly and pairs well with the creamy sauce. Chicken sausage, turkeymeatballs or sliced steak work just as well if you want something heartier.
Vegetables help balance the richness, too. Broccoli, spinach, snap peas, and roasted peppers all add color and texture while stretching the dish a bit further. A sprinkle of scallions or extra Parmesan on top can bring a little extra flavor at the end.
The nice part is that it doesn't take much effort to enjoy this freezer find. The pasta can be heated in the microwave or on the stovetop, so tossing in a handful of ingredients usually turns it into a full dinner.

♬ Ballerina - Yehezkel RazMost people online are loving this new Trader Joe's pasta. In a viral TikTok video, commenters raved about it, saying things like "so good," "it's the best thing I've ever tried," and "it's my hyperfixation meal." "Say less, buying tomorrow," states another commenter who was immediately influenced by watching the video. And fans even say that it's easy enough to make your own gochujang Alfredo sauce with the individual ingredients.
However, there are always a few who didn't find the food appetizing. "Not a popular opinion, but me and my husband hated it. The sauce tasted like Tostitos nacho cheese," stated one TikTok commenter. And then there are others who steer clear of these freezer finds for safety reasons. "There was a large recall on frozen foods from Trader Joe's, so I'm staying away," says another commenter.
Overall, though, this culinary mashup is a big hit. If you're craving pasta with a mild kick, and you prefer an easy-to-make meal, you can't pass up this freezer find. Its creamy and spicy sauce and giant noodles make for a winning combination.
‘Masked Singer’ Unmasks Eggplant After Ozzy Tribute Sing-Off
Another celebrity has been revealed on The Masked Singer.
During Ozzfest Night, the remaining contestants paid tribute to rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, but by the end of the episode, one performer had to remove their mask after a dramatic sing-off.

Who Was Unmasked on ‘The Masked Singer’ Tonight? After the night’s performances, Eggplant and High Voltage were revealed to be the two lowest vote-getters and forced to battle it out in a sing-off.
The pair performed “Iron Man” by Black Sabbath, leaning fully into the night’s Ozzy Osbourne theme.
When the votes were tallied, High Voltage advanced, meaning Eggplant was eliminated and unmasked.
Before the reveal, the panel locked in their final guesses.

Ken Jeong doubled down on Rick Springfield, noting the guitar clues and his role as a doctor on General Hospital.
Rita Ora admitted she was completely unsure and threw out a surprise guess: Nathan Lane.
Robin Thicke returned to a clue from earlier in the season referencing the “We Are the World” recording and guessed Kenny Loggins.
Guest panelist Kelly Osbourne believed the rocker behind the mask might be Alice Cooper.
None of the judges got it right.

Who is Eggplant on 'The Masked Singer'?Eggplant was revealed to be actor and singer Jack Wagner.
Wagner first rose to fame as Frisco Jones on General Hospital in the 1980s, becoming part of one of daytime television’s most beloved supercouples alongside Kristina Wagner’s Felicia.
Beyond his soap opera success, Wagner also built a music career. His 1985 single “All I Need” became a massive hit, climbing to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topping the Adult Contemporary chart.
He later appeared in several popular television series, including Santa Barbara, The Bold and the Beautiful and Melrose Place, and more recently has starred as Bill Avery on the Hallmark Channel series When Calls the Heart.
What’s Next on ‘The Masked Singer’?The competition continues next week with Care Bears Night, when the colorful characters make a special appearance and contestants will “sing their hearts out and share some of their feelings,” according to the episode description.
It’s still unclear which contestants will perform next. So far, the original premiere group—Cat Witch, Galaxy Girl, High Voltage, Pugcasso and Stingray—have each performed three times, while the wild cards 14 Karat Carrot, Crane and Pangolin have only performed twice.
That could mean the wild cards return to the stage to even things out, or the show may circle back to contestants who haven’t performed in several weeks.
Either way, another celebrity will soon be forced to reveal their identity.

Michael J. Fox Is A Proud Dad After Praising Son Sam In A Rare Red Carpet Photo
Michael J. Fox had a proud dad moment to share with fans this week—and he did it with a rare red carpet photo featuring his eldest son.
On Wednesday, March 4, the Back to the Future star took to Instagram to post a snapshot from the 2026 Screen Actors Guild Awards, which took place Sunday, where he attended alongside Sam, 36.
In the photo, Michael and Sam posed together on the red carpet, both smiling as they enjoyed the big night together. The beloved actor kept the caption simple but heartfelt, writing: “sam fox- Helluva guy...and such a good sport.”
View this post on InstagramThe post came just a few days after Michael made a memorable—and unexpected—emotional speech during the ceremony itself. The beloved actor helped open the SAG Awards with a surprise appearance that quickly earned applause from the crowd. Before hostKristen Bell took the stage, Michael shared a personal story about how his acting career ultimately led him to meeting his wife, Tracy Pollan.
“Before I left school, and moved from Canada to LA to try and make it as an actor, a teacher of mine told me, ‘Fox, you’re not going to be cute forever,’” he joked. “I didn’t know what to say to that so I said, ‘Well maybe just long enough sir.’”

The 5-time Emmy Award winner then reflected on landing his role on Family Ties, which introduced him to Pollan, who played his girlfriend on the show.
“After a few years of dumpster diving I ended up on Family Ties where I received the biggest gift of my career, my wife Tracy Pollan, who played Ellen, my girlfriend, and she gave me four gifts, our kids Skyler, Aquinnah, Esmé, and Sam,” he said. “Sometimes I like to remind them if it wasn’t for acting they wouldn’t be here.”
Michael and Pollan married in 1988 and welcomed Sam on May 30, 1989. Sam is the couple’s only son and has followed a creative path of his own in the entertainment world. Over the years, he has worked behind the scenes producing projects such as Ben Barnes’ “11:11” music video, the short film Good Grief, and the documentary Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, which focuses on his father’s life and career.
Fans have also long noticed that Sam bears a striking resemblance to his famous dad, something Michael has jokingly acknowledged in past birthday tributes.
1979 One-Hit Wonder Took Just 15 Minutes to Write
While no band or musical artist sets out to be a one-hit wonder, there are worse things to be. After all, it's better to be known for one super-successful song than no songs at all, right?
Not only was "My Sharona" the Knack's debut single, it was also their biggest (and only) hit. When the catchy tune debuted in 1979, it peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed there for five weeks, an achievement that made it the longest running rock single of the '70s.
Plus, at the time, was Capitol Records' fastest-selling single since The Beatles' "I Want to Hold Your Hand," and it's sold over 10 million copies since, according to Loudwire. Not bad for a song that apparently only took 15 minutes to write.
As American Songwriter reported, frontman Doug Fieger claimed to have written "My Sharona" in just 15 minutes...and it only took 15 minutes to mix, too.
So what got Fieger so fired up that he was able to pen a hit song in just a matter of minutes? Well, the lyrics pretty much tell the story: "Never gonna stop, give it up, such a dirty mind / I always get it up for the touch of the younger kind."
According to the BBC, Fieger had a habit of writing "nasty songs about girls I know."
The real Sharona appeared on the 'My Sharona' record coverFieger was 27 when he met Sharona Alperin, a 16-year-old student at Los Angeles's Fairfax High (interestingly enough, Fieger was introduced to Alperin by his then-girlfriend). "She had an overpowering scent," Alperin said in 1994, adding, "and it drove me crazy."
Alperin posed for the photo on the "My Sharona" sleeve, after which the Knack went on tour. Fieger took the opportunity to send Alperin a ticket to join him on tour in Hawaii, and the couple stayed together for "a long time after that" with Fieger writing "a lot of songs" about his younger girlfriend (no other hits, apparently).
While music critics weren't super impressed with "My Sharona," it did earn the Knack a permanent place in pop culture...even Weird AlYankovic turned the song into a major hit with his parody "My Bologna."
