Pfeiffer Loves a Good Selfie

“Back in the saddle. Happy Thursday, everyone!” the legendary star captioned a recent selfie, taken from what looks like the backseat of a car. With her blond hair swept up into a soft bun, Pfeiffer sported gold hoops and low-key makeup for the occasion. The stunner is cascading through her sixties and aging like a fine wine.

In a recent interview, Pfeiffer opened up about aging in Hollywood and facing a period when the coveted acting roles weren’t available. However, she said she ultimately pushed through and found herself in an even better place.

“For me, I hit a point when it was hard, and then I got over that hump and it was incredibly liberating,” Pfeiffer told Elle Canada recently. “Especially in my work, where sometimes you go from leading lady to grandmother, there’s this sort of no man’s land where you just feel irrelevant. But then you slog through that and you can end up in a new place. I’m actually really excited about the roles that I’m getting now.”

What's The Madison About?

Following three other Yellowstone spinoff shows, 1883, 1923, and Marshals,The Madison hits Paramount+ on March 14. According to its synopsis, the Taylor Sheridan series follows a New York family who settle in the Madison River valley of central Montana. Kurt Russell stars alongside Pfeiffer in a cast that includes Matthew Fox, Patrick J. Adams, and Elle Chapman.

TMZ added that the women, minus Mary, gathered at one cast member's house for their first group scene of the new season. The outlet also reports the cast discussed Robert Jr.'s death on camera.

While Mary is not filming the show at the moment, that could change. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bravo plans to follow her lead regarding a possible return. TMZ also reported on Friday, Feb. 27, that Cosby intends to resume filming the series at some point, citing a need to maintain stability while she grieves her son.

Jason Kelce's Daughter Ellie Just Made Randy Moss Melt

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 12:25pm

Can we all take a second to welcome Miss Ellie Kelce to the Internet Hall of Fame?

The 5-year-old just proved that even in a roomful of NFL legends, the real MVP is whoever runs the household. And that is definitely Ellie, daughter to one Jason Kelce.

@alanathegreat

Ellie is Travvy's twin it's so cute #uncletrav #kelcegenes #traviskelce #elliekelce #swifttok

During the most recent episode of the former Philadelphia Eagles center’s podcast, New Heights, Jason is chatting with his brother, current Kansas City Chief tight end and other half to one Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, and legendary retired wide receiver Randy Moss. As Jason, a girl dad of four, waxes nostalgic about missing competing in the NFL, Elliotte “Ellie” Ray is minding her own business in the background, while putting on a pink fur-trimmed puffer.

Seeing that Travis is chuckling to himself, Jason stops midsentence and says, “Is Ellie in the background?”

“This is so funny,” Travis says.

“Can you go upstairs, girlie?” Jason asks his little one, who looks him dead in the eyes and says, “No.”

Meanwhile, Moss asks if Ellie is Jason’s oldest, to which Uncle Travis and Dad both answer, “She’s the second.”

Still adjusting her coat and with Dad drawing her near, Jason says, “Can you say hi to the greatest receiver ever to play football? Say hi to Randy Moss.”

Now wearing Dad’s headphones, Ellie says, “Hi, Randy Moss!”

“Hey, baby!” Moss says back, with all three laughing.

“That’s so epic,” Travis says endearingly.

“Hello, sweetheart, how are you?” Moss asks, big smile on his face.

Never minding to respond or the talent on the screen, she bails, with Travis calling the moment “gold.” Before the Pro Bowlers know it, she’s back, dipping in with a final, “Love you, Uncle Travvy; love you, Randy Mosssss!”

Watch the moment unfold in full here.

1999 Hit Series Named One of the 'Best Political TV Shows'

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 12:23pm

Over many years of TV, there are a handful of political series that have stood the test of time, and one of them was NBC's The West Wing. Martin Sheen led the political drama series for seven seasons and is regarded as one of the best of all time, among other fan favorites.

The 1999 series had gained resurgence since premiering all seven seasons on Netflix, with Rolling Stone having ranked it in the No. 1 spot for political shows. Created by screenwriter and filmmaker Aaron Sorkin, the series follows Sheen as President Josiah Bartlet during is two-year term in the White House. It's primarily set in the West Wing of the White House and follows Bartlet's senior staff and closest core advisers as they tackle daily political turmoil.

The West Wingwas often regarded as one of the best TV series of all time, alongside other greats like The Sopranos. Martin was joined by the main cast members Rob Lowe, Dulé Hill, Allison Janney, Richard Schiff, John Spencer, Bradley Whitford, Janel Moloney, and Kathryn Joosten. Actor Stockard Channing also starred in the series as the First Lady and wife to Bartlet.

Many praised Sorkin's impecable dialogue in the series, with the Rolling Stone having commented that his "conception of a world where well-meaning idealists get things done simply by being smart and caring deeply is an intoxicating family, and one buttressed by the fiery oratory of Sheen and the spectacular work of an ensemble that won many, many Emmys for Allison Janney, John Spencer, Richard Schiff, and others."

Sorkin ended up leaving the series after its fourth season, with The West Wing having continued until its final seventh season in 2006. Its use of politics was highly regarded by political science professors and former White House staff.

Its popularity earned it two Peabody Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and 26 Primetime Emmy Awards, including four consecutive wins for Outstanding Drama Series from 2000 until 2003.

‘Love Is Blind’ Season 10’s Jordan and Amber: Where Are They Now?

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 12:22pm

Season 10 of Love Is Blind focused on Ohio couples finding their match in the pods. Jordan Faeth didn't want a woman who had kids. That changed when the account executive met single mother, Amber Morrison.

Jordan, 34, and Amber, 34, had to navigate him meeting her daughter off-screen. The finale revealed if they got marriage or went their separate ways. This is what the cast members did after the season.

Spoiler alert for Season 10's finale!

Are Jordan and Amber of Love Is Blind Still Together?

"Head vs. Heart" showed the couple making their decision at the altar. Amber's seven-year-old daughter, Emma sat in the front row. Everyone was confident the mother was going to say yes, but wasn't as sure about Jordan.

"I want to follow my heart and say that I do," he said. The officiant asked him to clarify and he said, "I do." The guests cheered.

The season was filmed around April 2025, according to Cleveland.com. Amber took a trip to Europe in November of last year. She posted pictures of the Ruins of Pompeii. The mother also sailed in Barcelona. Jordan hasn't posted any pictures of himself in Europe at the time.

The women of season 10, including Brittany Wicker, reunited in Miami recently. They were all dressed in white as they hit the casino in an Instagram picture. Amber hasn't shown her ring finger in any of the pictures.

The "Reality Receipts" podcast gave accurate spoilers of the season back in February. Host Story Time With Rikki said, "Now this might come as a surprise to some of you guys," she said. "But Amber and Jordan are actually going to say I do at the altar. These two get married, and another surprise."

She claimed at the reunion they announced that they are divorced. There is a rumor that Jordan moved his stuff out of the home while Amber was working. That means the marriage lasted three months.

The reunion will be available to stream starting Wednesday, March 11 at 9 p.m. ET ET on Netflix.

Christina Applegate Reveals the Dark Side of Playing Kelly Bundy at Just 15

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 12:20pm

Gen X fondly remembers Christina Applegateas Kelly Bundy on Married... with Children, but her recent revelations about playing the blonde bombshell teen have been more complicated than fans might expect.

Applegate recently released her memoir, You With The Sad Eyes, and she is spilling the tea on the provocative prime-time sitcom that ran from 1987 to 1997.

The 54-year-old former teen idol has shared many revelations, from who she dumped and who she dated, when she knew her marriage was a mistake, and she even dropped details on a past abusive relationship.

Given how instrumental Married... with Children was to her success, it's not surprising that she opened up about her time on the show. What is surprising is the story she told about the pressure to maintain her figure and the lengths she went to meet those expectations.

"If I was going to eat something as horrendously huge as a bagel, I would scoop it out and maybe have half of it, or half of a half," Applegate wrote in her memoir. "That would be my food intake for an entire day."

View this post on Instagram

She continued, explaining, "Sometimes I’d punish myself and wouldn’t eat at all. I was a size 0, and the costume people on ‘Married… With Children’ would often have to take my clothes in."

"I was bone, bone, bone. I used to joke back then that if my hip bones weren’t the first thing to enter a room, I was overweight," Applegate quipped before sharing that she "had to be skinny."

The Dead To Me star continued, saying, "I had a vision of the specific clothes I wanted her to wear, and to wear those clothes — clothes that would show if you ate something as tiny as a single grape — I had to lean even deeper into my eating disorder."

Pressure from the live studio audience didn't help either. Applegate recalled in her book a time when she walked onto the stage as Kelly while dressed in a "leather fringed jacket over a short red shirt" and just stood there while those in attendance greeted her with boisterous applause.

Despite only being 15 years old when the show premiered in 1987, Applegate's character was a "bimbo" frequently framed as a sex symbol and the butt of the show's many jokes. The inappropriateness is not lost on the Bad Moms star, who shared, "I look at all this now and cringe. The show was indeed broad and lewd, and it wouldn’t have a shot in hell of being made these days."

1960s Rock Legend Claims He Was Lied to About Hall of Fame Induction

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 12:15pm

Naturally, The Beatles were one of the first groups inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Shortly after Rolling Stone co-founder Jann Wenner helped launch the institution, the “Fab Four” joined the Rock Hall in 1988, their first year of eligibility.

However, it took a little longer for Paul McCartneyto get in as a solo artist: longer than he liked, and according to a newly published 2015 Vanity Fair interview, longer than what he was promised.

McCartney said that Wenner approached him about inducting John Lennon as a solo artist into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. McCartney agreed, but he told VF, “Then I put the phone down. I thought, ‘Well, what about me? I’m not inducted. Now John’s going to go in.’”

“The thing about John Lennon and McCartney was we were always equal,” said Sir Paul. “But, of course, once John got murdered, he became the martyr—the Buddy Holly, the James Dean character—because of the atrocity. So a revisionism started to go on. And Yoko certainly helped it. Jann was a big part of that. So that naturally colored my thinking.”

McCartney got back to Wenner. “[I] said, ‘Well, wait a minute. What about me? Maybe I’ll do John, and then maybe I should go in.’ And it was like, ‘Oh no, we can’t do that.’ In all my dealings with him, it’s never up to Jann. It’s up to these other people down the corridor somewhere. He happens to have ‘owner-editor’ on his door, but they’re responsible for things?”

“Anyway, so I said, ‘Well, what about me?’ He said, ‘Next year. We’ll do you next year,’” said McCartney. And I bought the deal. Next year came around…crickets.”

Lennon was part of the class of 1994, which included Elton John, Duane Eddy, The Grateful Dead, Bob Marley, The Animals, The Band, and Rod Stewart. The following year’s class included Neil Young, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, The Allman Brothers, Al Green, Martha and the Vandellas, and Frank Zappa.

McCartney was rightfully upset. “So it was like, ‘Can you ring Jann? What’s going on? I don’t appear to be in it.’ F--king bastards,” he said.

Eventually, Paul McCartney got in: he was part of the Class of 1999, alongside fellow icons such as Curtis Mayfield, Billy Joel, Dusty Springfield, and Bruce Springsteen. Paul’s daughter, Stella McCartney, famously wore a t-shirt that read ‘ABOUT F—KING TIME!”

While McCartney saw his work with Lennon in The Beatles as “equal,” he’s “always been sort of fighting” about getting credit for his solo hits. “So as far as Jann is concerned—they did induct me,” he added. “It was ‘about f--king time’ and all that. But it was later, and it wasn’t when I was promised it. A verbal contract was not worth the paper it was written on.”

32 Years Ago, an 11-Year-Old Made Movie History

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 12:12pm

In 1993, an 11-year-old newcomer stepped onto Hollywood's biggest stage and became a noteworthy name in movie history.

That year, Anna Paquin won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in The Piano, making her one of the youngest Oscar winners of all time.

Directed by Jane Campion, The Piano marked Paquin's first-ever acting role. In the film, she played Flora McGrath, the bright young daughter of a mute pianist portrayed by Holly Hunter. Set in the mid-19th century, the story follows a woman and her daughter who are sent from Scotland to New Zealand for an arranged marriage, with Flora often acting as her mother's interpreter to the outside world.

Paquin's performance quickly became one of the most talked-about aspects of the film. Despite having no previous acting experience, she delivered a dynamic portrayal of a clever and sometimes mischievous child caught between the adults around her.

When Paquin's name was announced at the 65th Academy Awards, the moment instantly became one of the ceremony's most memorable scenes. Visibly stunned, the young actress stood onstage for several seconds laughing nervously and staring into the camera before delivering a brief but heartfelt acceptance speech.

Her win made her the second-youngest Best Supporting Actress winner in Oscar history, behind only Tatum O’Neal, who won for Paper Moon in 1974 at age 10.

"When I won with The Piano, I was just confused that everyone knew who I was. I was just some kid from a small town in New Zealand," Paquin told The Guardian in 2019. "After I got the award – because my parents had set me up not to be disappointed if I didn’t win and didn’t explain what I should do if I did – I broke Oscar protocol by taking my trophy down the stairs and back to my seat. If you look back at the footage, you can see people trying to stop me, and I'm just walking away to sit back down with my mum."

The Piano itself was widely acclaimed, earning eight Academy Award nominations and winning three, including Best Actress for Holly Hunter and Best Original Screenplay for Campion. The film helped cement Campion as one of the most distinctive filmmakers of her generation.

For Paquin, the Oscar win launched a long and successful career in film and television. She later appeared in projects such as the X-Men franchise and the HBO series True Blood, proving that the young girl who stunned audiences in 1993 was only just getting started.

More than three decades later, Paquin's win remains one of the most remarkable debut performances in movie history and a reminder that sometimes Hollywood's biggest moments come from its youngest stars.

This Is the Worst Time to Test the Risky 'Airport Theory' Trend

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 12:11pm

A travel trend known as the “airport theory” is encouraging some flyers to show up at the airport just minutes before their boarding time, believing they can sprint through security and arrive at the gate in time to catch their flight. Fox News reports searches for the term “airport theory” have spiked more than 11,000 percent in the past year, according to data from an international travel eSIM provider Holafly. And in what we are such is not a coincidence, Tech-ish reports Google searches for “I missed my flight” spiked as high as 645 percent in a single month

While this trend looks daring and time‑saving through social media posts, travel experts say now is an especially bad time to attempt it. Airports across the United States are experiencing high passenger volumes, unpredictable security lines, and more frequent flight delays and cancellations. With so much uncertainty in the travel system, showing up just minutes before departure could easily turn a clever life hack into a missed flight nightmare.

Explore the latest travel stories and updates by subscribing to our newsletter.

What the Airport Theory Trend Is and How It Spread

The “airport theory” trend began on platforms like TikTok and continues to spread as travelers share clips of themselves racing through terminals, carry‑on bags in tow, to make flights with almost no buffer time. The idea is that by arriving extremely late, you avoid long waits in security queues and reduce the amount of time spent inside crowded terminals.

Some travelers proudly post videos showing how they made a flight after arriving around 15 or 20 minutes before departure. But even people who “succeed” often omit crucial context, like shorter security lines or less crowded airports on specific days. Those brief moments of satisfaction make for good social media content, but most airports are far more complex and unpredictable than what a short video can convey.

Airline and airport professionals have repeatedly emphasized that posted arrival recommendations exist for a reason. Arriving just before departure does not guarantee you will clear security, check baggage, or board on time, especially during periods of travel disruption.

View this post on Instagram Why This Moment in Travel Makes It Riskier Than Ever

Travel systems are under strain right now, with high passenger numbers colliding with operational issues that make flights and airport logistics unpredictable. Airports are seeing slower security lines and more flight delays, partly because staffing levels have not fully kept pace with rising travel demand. This combination means that even routine travel can feel chaotic for many flyers.

It is also common for airline gates to close 15 minutes before departure time, meaning even if you somehow make it through security, you might still find yourself locked out of the aircraft before boarding begins.

Related: Travel Chaos Continues as Airspace in the Middle East Remains Closed

I once tried to time a tight arrival at a mid‑sized airport, thinking that a quick security scan and minimal lines would save time. Instead, unexpected secondary screening and a baggage tag delay left me watching my flight board from the terminal, a costly lesson that often echoes the experiences of those pushing trends like airport theory.

Seasonal peaks such as spring break and summer travel only heighten the risk. For example, some hubs like Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental and William P. Hobby airports expect more than 2.2 million passengers during peak spring travel windows, stretching TSA checkpoints and making tight arrival strategies even more unpredictable.

Practical Travel Tips to Beat Congestion Without Risking Your Flight

Rather than gambling with airport theory, savvy travelers use safer strategies to minimize time wasted in queues and stress:

  • Check in online and download your boarding pass to your phone.
  • Use expedited security programs such as TSA PreCheck or CLEAR.
  • Travel with carry‑on only to avoid baggage drop lines, but only if you are absolutely certain you will not need checked luggage.
  • Monitor real‑time security wait times through airport apps before you leave for the terminal.
  • Plan arrival times conservatively, especially during known busy periods like holidays and peak travel seasons.

Some airports do have consistently short security wait times, and analytics firms have ranked hubs like Baltimore/Washington International and Denver International as having some of the quickest checkpoints. Even in these cases, 15‑minute arrival gambits remain risky because gates close early and last‑minute tie‑ups can still occur.

Related: The Busiest Airport in the U.S. Was Just Revealed, and You Won't Believe Where It Is

Why Traditional Arrival Recommendations Still Matter

Despite the allure of travel hacks and viral trends, the real goal for any traveler should be peace of mind and a smooth journey. Airlines and security agencies recommend arriving two hours early for domestic flights and three hours early for international journeys, not to inconvenience passengers, but to allow for variability that can easily occur in real airport operations.

Don't miss a beat—subscribe now for trending travel updates and destination guides.

In the current travel climate, where delays seem to ripple throughout the system and peak days make airports more congested than usual, cutting arrival times too close is no longer just a thrill‑seeking stunt. It is a recipe for missed flights, stress, and expensive rebooking.

The “airport theory” may look cool on video, but it oversimplifies the realities of modern travel. For now, the safest bet for any traveler remains planning ahead, arriving early, and letting the pros handle the logistics while you enjoy your trip.

Target's Chic Espresso Cup and Saucer Set Looks Straight Out of a Charming French Café

Espresso just tastes better in the right cup. The proper espresso cup elevates the entire sipping experience. Not only does it make you feel fancy, but serving espresso in a smaller cup also has practical reasons behind it, too. For example, a small, thick espresso cup prevents the espresso from cooling too quickly, preserving its temperature. A smaller cup also helps concentrate the espresso's aroma. 'God of War' Creator on TV Series First Look: 'So Bad in So Many Ways'

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 12:07pm

David Jaffe created the groundbreaking God of War game in 2005. He also created Twisted Metal. On February 27, Amazon dropped the first official photo of its live-action God of War series with Ryan Hurst as Kratos and CallumVinson as Atreus, standing in a forest, the boy drawing a bow. Jaffe saw it posted and took straight to his YouTube channel.

'I swear I'm not doing a bit,' he said. 'I don't do bits.'

He opened with a disclaimer that showed he wasn't completely disregarding the show based on a single pre-release photo. 'Two things can be true,' he said. 'This can be a terrible image, and it is, it is so bad in so many ways, and Ron Moore is awesome." Ronald D. Moore is the showrunner, the man behind the Battlestar Galactica reboot and Outlander. 'The guy is a juggernaut of a talented fellow,' Jaffe said. 'I have absolutely no doubt it is going to be a good show.'

Then he explained the problems he saw.

His first problem was Kratos. Not the actor, but the pose. 'He just looks stupid,' Jaffe said. 'If you are going to reveal to most people a brand new character that you hope is going to carry your series for the first time, and they've never really seen this before, and this is the way you introduce them....' He paused. He noted that Amazon may have consciously chosen to emphasize the father-son dynamic over Spartan fury, but even then: 'Could you find a picture that doesn't look like he's sh***ing in the woods? Because that's what the picture looks like.'

He moved to the kid. He noted they probably opted for a younger actor so he could age across seasons. But the photo itself? 'He looks like a very confused little boy with way too much product in his hair.' He went further. 'Is he a little kid that needs glasses? Because look how he's holding the bow and where he's aiming. If this was God of War: Dumb and Dumber edition, that's what you would expect. Like it's a comedy.' Ouch.

Related: A New 'God of War' Game Just Dropped on PS5—And It’s Not What You Think

Then he got to what he called 'the most offensive thing' in the entire image. Not Kratos. Not the kid. A rock.

'You would think in a world of CG and AI and just over a century of movie magic,' Jaffe said, 'this looks like what you would go into a hobby store and buy for your train set. The boulder set for the trains to go by, with the moss that some amateur craft guy has kind of glued on.'

When Kratos actor Hurst responded to fan backlash on Instagram with 'don't believe everything you see on the internet, kids,' Jaffe wasn't having it. 'This isn't some behind-the-scenes thing that somebody snuck from the set,' he said. 'This is an official release from Amazon who's producing the show. So I don't know what the hell that means.'

View this post on Instagram

He was equally direct about his own stake in the project. 'I'm not particularly interested in the show because the Norse thing isn't really... I love 2018, but after that I'm not really into where God of War is right now.' But he separated his personal taste from his prediction. 'I'm sure the show will be fine, primarily because Ron Moore is a really good creator and showrunner.'

He saved his real frustration for whoever made the call to release the photo in the first place. 'Out of the 80 images we could release, this is the one?' he said. 'That person needs to be on some kind of list. Don't let that person get on a plane, because I don't think they're well.'

The series also stars Mandy Patinkin as Odin, Ed Skrein as Baldur, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson as Thor, and Teresa Palmer as Sif, with Frederick E.O. Toye (director of Shōgunand The Boys) helming the first two episodes. It has a two-season order. Production is underway in Vancouver. No premiere date has been announced.

The photo is still up.

15 'Restaurant: Impossible' Spots That Have Closed Forever (and Why)

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 12:05pm

A visit from chef Robert Irvine on Restaurant: Impossible once felt like a lifeline for struggling restaurants. The show brought a fast-paced makeover, a revamped menu, and a national TV audience most small eateries could only dream of. For a moment, it looked like the kind of turnaround story every restaurant owner hopes for.

But the restaurant business is brutal, and even a TV rescue didn't guarantee a happy ending. During the show's run on Food Network, many of the featured restaurants still closed their doors. From longtime neighborhood spots to quirky regional eateries, these restaurants got the Irvine treatment, but couldn't keep the momentum going after the cameras left.

15 Spots That Closed After Appearing on Restaurant: Impossible1. The Mad Cactus (Strongsville, Ohio)

For nearly three decades, Mad Cactus served fajitas, tacos, and margaritas in Strongsville, Ohio. But by the time chef Robert Irvine arrived on Restaurant: Impossible, the colorful Tex-Mex restaurant was already losing money. One of Irvine's biggest concerns was the restaurant's heavy discount promotions, which he warned were costing more than they were bringing in.

Irvine pushed owner Tom Rinaldi to cut the promotions and tighten the menu to stabilize the business. After filming, however, some of those deals reportedly returned, putting the restaurant back in the same financial bind. Mad Cactus closed on July 21, 2013, ending a 28-year run. The building was later demolished after sitting vacant for years.

2. Snooty Fox (Indianapolis)

© Aimee Blume / Courier & Press / USA TODAY NETWORK

The Snooty Fox had been part of Indianapolis's dining scene for decades, operating as a British-style pub known for fish and chips, burgers, and steaks. But behind the scenes, the restaurant was struggling. Debt had piled up, staff turnover had become a problem, and the kitchen was struggling to keep up after the restaurant's longtime chef walked out.

When Restaurant: Impossible stepped in, chef Robert Irvine reorganized the kitchen and helped the owners rethink how the restaurant operated day-to-day. The makeover gave the pub a brief boost in business, but the improvement didn't last. Reviews in the months after the episode continued to mention uneven service and inconsistent food. The Snooty Fox closed in October 2011, bringing an end to a neighborhood restaurant that had been around for nearly three decades.

3. McShane's Restaurant & Pub (East Syracuse, N.Y.)

Imagn

McShane's Restaurant in East Syracuse landed on Restaurant: Impossible after owner Cindy Baker watched her once-busy chicken spot struggle as nearby manufacturing jobs disappeared and the restaurant's regular lunch crowd faded. When Robert Irvine arrived, he found a failing kitchen operation and serious cleanliness issues that had begun driving customers away.

Irvine revamped the kitchen, refreshed the dining room, and rebuilt the menu around McShane's signature half-chicken. The episode helped bring business in, but the restaurant had trouble shaking its reputation as more of a beer-and-shot bar than a dinner destination. McShane's closed in May 2013, and Baker later launched a food truck called the Chicken Bandit.

4. County Fare (Stafford, Va.)

County Fare in Stafford, Va., was already on the brink when it appeared on Restaurant: Impossible. Owner Eric Green, a former Marine, had poured his savings into the diner but was facing bankruptcy as sales continued to slide.

The episode briefly gave the restaurant new life. Green later said business improved during the first month after filming as diners stopped in to see the changes. But the bump didn't last. Sales soon dropped again, reportedly even lower than before the show, and reviews continued to mention inconsistent hours and service. County Fare closed in October 2011, only about six months after the episode aired.

5. Rosie's Cafe (Escondido, Calif.)

© Jim Beckerman/The Record / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

Rosie's Cafe in Escondido, Calif., was a small breakfast-and-lunch diner run by chef Kaitlyn Pilsbury when it appeared on Restaurant: Impossible in 2019. The episode focused on the restaurant's cluttered dining room and disorganized kitchen, with Robert Irvine helping Pilsbury streamline operations and relaunch the neighborhood café with a cleaner look and a tighter menu.

For a time, the makeover helped. But later that year, Pilsbury was seriously injured in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident that left her unable to work for months. Chef Irvine even helped organize a fundraiser that raised more than $100,000 to support her recovery. Despite the support, the pandemic dealt another blow to the business, and Rosie's Cafe eventually closed after struggling to recover.

6. White Mountain Steakhouse (Gorham, N.H.)

© John Blackie/Pensacola News Journal / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

White Mountain Steakhouse had been serving steaks and seafood to travelers passing through Gorham, N.H., for decades before it appeared on Restaurant: Impossible. The roadside restaurant sat along Route 16 near the entrance to the White Mountains, but owner Brian Nadeau was struggling with declining sales and an aging operation that had fallen behind the busy tourism corridor.

Robert Irvine helped reorganize the kitchen and shift the menu toward simpler steakhouse staples to appeal to the steady flow of hikers and leaf-peepers passing through the area. The restaurant stayed open for years after the episode aired, but long-term pressures on small hospitality businesses in the region eventually caught up with it. White Mountain Steakhouse closed in 2025 after decades serving the Gorham community.

7. Mama Lee's Soul Food (San Antonio)

© David DelPoio/The Providence Journal / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

Mama Lee's Soul Food had built a following in San Antonio with dishes like fried chicken, pork chops, and classic Southern sides. When Restaurant: Impossible arrived, chef Robert Irvine found a kitchen struggling with sanitation issues and a restaurant weighed down by years of deferred maintenance.

Irvine overhauled the space and helped the owner relaunch the restaurant with a cleaner kitchen and a more focused operation. But the improvements didn't hold. A subsequent health inspection reportedly uncovered serious violations, including pest problems and unsafe food-handling practices. With dozens of inspection demerits, far beyond what restaurants are typically allowed, Mama Lee's closed in July 2013.

8. Scrimmages (Wilmington, Del.)

© Gail Ciampa/The Providence Journal / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

Scrimmages was a sports bar in Wilmington, Del., opened by four friends who had pooled their money and even taken out mortgages to buy the struggling restaurant. By the time Restaurant: Impossible arrived, the partnership was under serious strain, as the business continued to lose money and customers complained about slow service and inconsistent food.

Chef Robert Irvine helped reorganize the kitchen and pushed the owners to run the restaurant more like a business than a hangout spot. The episode brought a bit more customers, but the deeper issues never fully went away. Reviews after the makeover continued to mention poor service and long waits. Scrimmages closed in November 2013, about two years after the episode aired.

9. The Anchor (Louisville, Tenn.)

Imagn

The Anchor sat on the waterfront in Louisville, Tenn., drawing locals and boaters with views of Fort Loudoun Lake and a menu designed around seafood and Southern comfort food. When Restaurant: Impossible arrived, the restaurant's biggest challenge wasn't the menu—it was the family running it. The episode centered on owner Lane and ongoing conflicts with his children, who also worked at the restaurant.

Robert Irvine focused as much on the family dynamic as the kitchen, pushing them to communicate better and divide responsibilities more clearly. The relaunch brought new customers, but the tension behind the scenes didn't disappear. The Anchor eventually closed in 2021, ending the lakeside restaurant's run after years of family and operational struggles.

10. Wagon Wheel (Salisbury, Md.)

Imagn

The Wagon Wheel had been a fixture outside Salisbury, Md., for decades, known for old-school comfort food and one menu item that always caught visitors off guard: muskrat, a Chesapeake-area specialty. Owner Patty Gallegos ran the restaurant with help from several family members when Restaurant: Impossible arrived to tackle declining business and an outdated dining room.

Robert Irvine pushed for a more modern menu and a cleaner look, though Gallegos insisted on keeping the muskrat dish, which had long been part of the restaurant's identity. The makeover drew attention from locals curious about the changes, but the restaurant still struggled to stay afloat. After roughly 40 years in business, Gallegos decided to step away and focus on her health. The Wagon Wheel closed in September 2014.

11. Hoffman's Bistro (Santa Cruz, Calif)

© Mandi Wright / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

Hoffman's Bistro in Santa Cruz, Calif., was a small neighborhood restaurant run by owner Rami Hoffman, who had opened the spot hoping to bring a more upscale dining option to the area. But when Restaurant: Impossible arrived, the business was struggling with inconsistent food, mounting debt and an identity that never quite connected with local diners.

Robert Irvine helped refocus the menu and gave the dining room a cleaner, more modern feel. The restaurant managed to stay open for several years after the episode aired, but long-term stability remained elusive. Hoffman's Bistro ultimately closed in 2018 after losing its lease, bringing an end to a restaurant that had operated in Santa Cruz for more than a decade.

12. So Natural Organic Restaurant (Harker Heights, Texas)

© Em Chan/Statesman Journal / USA TODAY NETWORK

So Natural Organic Restaurant in Harker Heights, Texas, built its identity around organic ingredients, vegan dishes and health-focused comfort food like veggie burgers, wraps and smoothies. The family-run restaurant caught the attention of Restaurant: Impossible after struggling to attract enough steady traffic despite its niche concept.

Robert Irvine helped simplify the menu and reposition the restaurant to appeal to a broader range of diners. The episode brought national attention, with some customers reportedly traveling from out of town after seeing the show. The restaurant stayed open for a couple of years afterward before the owners chose to close the storefront and shift their focus to catering. The business now operates as So Natural Catering.

13. Cape Horn Family Restaurant (Red Lion, Pa.)

Imagn

Cape Horn Family Restaurant in Red Lion, Pa., was a longtime family diner run by owner Joni Heindel when it appeared on Restaurant: Impossible. The restaurant was a regular stop for Red Lion locals, but behind the scenes, Heindel was overwhelmed by debt, staffing problems and the stress of keeping the business afloat.

Robert Irvine stepped in to overhaul the kitchen, boost staff morale and introduce a refreshed menu aimed at bringing customers back. The changes initially helped stabilize the restaurant. But only weeks after filming wrapped, Heindel was diagnosed with cancer, forcing her to step away from the business during treatment. Cape Horn closed in 2016, and the restaurant never reopened.

14. The Dinner Bell (Madison, Tenn.)

© MARK J. PRICE / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

The Dinner Bell in Madison, Tenn., became one of the more memorable stops on Restaurant: Impossible thanks to its fiery kitchen dynamic. Owner Tommy had developed a reputation for clashing with staff, and even went head-to-head with Robert Irvine during filming, as the restaurant struggled with falling sales and pricing that left little room for profit.

Irvine pushed for major changes, including adjusting menu prices so the restaurant could actually make money on its dishes. But after the episode aired in February 2013, the owner reportedly rolled prices back to their old levels. With rising food costs already squeezing the business, the math quickly stopped working. The Dinner Bell closed just a couple of months later, in April 2013.

15. Mainelli's (Providence, R.I.)

Imagn

Mainelli's was a family-owned Italian restaurant in Providence, R.I., run by owner Jerry Picaro when it appeared on Restaurant: Impossible. The restaurant had been losing money and struggling to keep up with bills, even dealing with a temporary gas shutoff that forced the kitchen to close before the show stepped in.

Irvine helped relaunch the restaurant with a refreshed dining room and a more focused menu. Reviews after the episode suggested the changes initially helped, but Mainelli's soon ran into an unexpected setback when a car crashed into the building, forcing another closure while repairs were made. The restaurant never fully recovered. Mainelli's ultimately shut down for good in 2013, about two years after the episode aired.

Overhead lighting absolutely has its place. You need it when you're chopping vegetables, hunting for a missing sock, or trying to clean without missing a single dusty corner. It's practical, but it isn't exactly cozy. Nothing beats the warm, glow-y magic of a simple table lamp switched on in the evening. It makes a room feel softer and calmer with a quick click or tap.

Well, they might suggest you use a rechargeable, cordless lamp, like Five Below's nifty Aconic Three Mood Rechargeable Touch Lamp. 1944 Classic Was a No. 1 Hit 82 Years Ago Today

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 12:00pm

Jimmy Dorsey defined the Swing era with his impeccable command of the saxophone.

Celebrated as one of the most influential alto saxophonists of his time, he captivated listeners with his smooth and unforgettable melodies and a string of romantic ballads and timeless love songs that left a lasting mark on the music industry.

From “Amapola” (Pretty Little Poppy) in 1941, his biggest hit, which spent 10 weeks on the top chart, to “Maria Elena” in 1941 and “Tangerine” in 1942, the renowned multi-instrumentalist consistently delivered one standout record after another.

Throughout his career, Dorsey, along with his orchestra, including Bob Eberly and Kitty Kallen, introduced several notable songs that have transcended through generations and continue to define the golden age of swing.

On this day, the Pennsylvania native topped the charts 82 years ago after releasing “Bésame Mucho” or “Kiss Me Much.”

Written by Mexican composer Consuelo Velázquez in the 1930s, it was originally in Spanish but was translated into English by lyricist Sunny Skylar, and Dorsey and his orchestra performed it.

Dorsey’s 1944 song peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s National List of Best Selling Retail Records chart. On top of that, the hit track remained unbeatable for seven consecutive weeks from March 4 to April 15, 1944.

By 1999, “Bésame Mucho” was considered the most recorded and covered Spanish-language song of all time. Among those famous renditions are The Beatles with their guitar-driven rock and roll version, while Nat King Cole delivered a classic interpretation.

Adding to the list of popular covers is Frank Sinatra’s swing-influenced version, while the Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli gave “Bésame Mucho” a passionate and operatic rendition.

Besides those mentioned, iconic Puerto Rican-born Mexican singer Luis Miguel sang this in the 90s, while the musical trio Trio Los Panchos sang this in 1968.

As for modern times, pop singer Dua Lipa performed “Bésame Mucho” live in Mexico City during her Radical Optimism Tour in 2025.

In addition to the 1944 hit song, Dorsey’s “The Breeze and I” was included in the National List of Best Selling Retail Records as cited by Billboard.

Released in 1940, it ranked second on the national chart next to Tommy Dorsey’s “I’ll Never Smile Again.”

Savannah Guthrie's Mom Nancy Update: Sheriff Weighs in on 'Missing Piece of Evidence'

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 11:51am

Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing more than a month after the abduction from her Tucson, Ariz., home—and Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos recently shared an update on a "missing piece of evidence."

In an interview that aired on Today on Wednesday, March 4, the Pima County Sheriff discussed where the investigation stands when it comes to digital forensics in the 84-year-old’s case.

🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬

After mentioning that physical evidence remains a key focus in the case, NBC correspondent Liz Kreutz pointed out that investigators are still looking into a key "missing piece of evidence"—the suspect's cell phone. From a phone pinging cell towers, to trying to connect to a nearby Wi-Fi network, to even turning off a device, these actions can create a digital trail leading to the potential suspect.

Nanos confirmed that investigators have been looking into cell tower data in Nancy's investigation.

"I think the cell data towers have helped us in eliminating people, and looking at things, and different things," he confirmed to Kreutz on Day 32 of the search for Nancy. However, Nanos also acknowledged, "And there's still a lot of that data that needs to be looked at."

Additionally, Nanos said that investigators cannot say definitively if one of the images released from Nancy's Nest camera was taken at an earlier date before the abduction. The sheriff did say, however, that he does believe it was the same person in all of the images.

On Feb. 1, the Pima County Sheriff's Department (PCSD) embarked on its search for Nancy after she was last seen at her Catalina Foothills residence on Jan. 31. Savannah and her siblings, Annie and Camron, have sent multiple video messages to the potential captor since then, after receiving several alleged ransom notes. Most recently, Savannah offered a $1 million reward for any information leading to Nancy’s return.

In a Feb. 27 statement, the PCSD—after withdrawing a number of officers from Tucson to refocus their efforts—said, “This remains an active investigation and will continue until Nancy Guthrie is located or all leads have been exhausted,” per People. “The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is refocusing resources to detectives specifically assigned to this case. As leads are developed and resolved, resource allocation may fluctuate. PCSD will maintain a patrol presence in the Guthrie neighborhood.”

Those with any information about Nancy’s missing case are advised to contact the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones Share the Surprising Way Their Fathers Are Connected

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 11:51am

Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones have been co-hosting the fourth hour of the Today Show, now titled Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, since January. But did you know their fathers have known each other for much longer?

During the Wednesday, Mar. 4 episode of the show, the co-hosts shared that Hager's father, former President George W. Bush, and Jones’ father, Judge C. Darnell Jones, share a surprising connection.

“Our fathers are connected, kind of,” Bush Hager said.

“So crazy, so her father nominated my father to the federal bench,” Jones explained. “So my father’s a federal judge—can you say retired when you’re a federal judge?—I don’t know. He’s a federal judge. He ended up going through in the [Barack] Obama years, but it was her father that put it in motion.”

Bush Hager noted that Jones was the one who made her aware of the connection, saying, “You told me that once over many a margarita. Isn’t that a wild story? Who could have ever predicted that? I think the world is a weird and wonderful place.”

Judge Jones was nominated for a federal judgeship by President Bush in July 2008—17 years before their daughters' show began airing.

While both journalists have been with NBC for years, they only began co-hosting their talk show earlier this year.

Bush Hager's former co-host Hoda Kotb exited Today in January 2025, and for a year, the show, then titled Today with Jenna & Friends, ran with a rotating lineup of celebrity guest co-hosts.

On Feb. 6, Kotb made her first return to Today following her retirement to cover for Savannah Guthrie amid her mom Nancy's disappearance.

“This whole thing is breaking my heart and I’m happy to be sitting here with you,” Kotb said to Jones, Craig Melvin, and Carson Daly. “I picture Savannah sitting there. I just want to say good morning and everybody’s hoping and praying for Nancy’s safe return.”

This 1977 Smash Hit Beat His Own Brothers to No. 1 — 48 Years Ago Today

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 11:51am

On March 4, 1978, late singer Andy Gibb's 1977 hit, "(Love Is) Thicker Than Water," peaked at the number one spot on Billboard Top 100. The song was featured on Andy's debut album, Flowing Rivers, which was released in 1977.

Andy's older brothers, Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb's group, The Bee Gees' 1977 "Stayin' Alive" from the Saturday Night Fever album, was number 2 on the March 4, 1978 Billboard Top 100 chart.

Andy died 11 years after releasing Flowing Rivers at the age of 30. History.com reported that Andy's death was caused by "an inflammatory heart virus" in 1988. According to the publication, his mother, Barbara Gibb, said his issue with substance abuse wasn't the reason for his death.

"When he died, it had nothing to do with drugs at all. But the damage had been done through drugs in the first place," said Barbara, per History.com.

Barry White Opened up About Losing His Brothers in a 2021 Interview

Barry, who executive-produced Flowing River, briefly discussed Andy's passing in a 2021 interview with 7News Spotlight.

"His heart was very bad but he had lived a lifestyle that very few of us in the family even knew about," said Barry in the interview.

Barry also shared that he wasn't in the best place with any of his brothers right before they died. Robin died at 62 in 2012, while Maurice died when he was 53 in 2003.

"My greatest regret is that every brother I've lost was in a moment when we were not getting on. I'm the last man standing. I'll never be able to understand that because I'm the eldest," said Barry, now 79, in the 2021 interview.

In addition, Barry reminisced about working with Maurice and Robin, who were fraternal twins, as The Bee Gees.

"We all had the same dream. And that's what I remember more than anything else. And that's what I miss more than anything else," said Barry.

Christina Applegate Thanks Andy Cohen for Easing Her MS Pain

Wed, 03/04/2026 - 11:49am

Christina Applegate says her Multiple Sclerosis (MS) pain hovers at an eight out of 10—but drops to a one when she tunes into Bravo for a little reality TV escape.

A known Bravoholic, Applegate told Good Morning America's Robin Roberts that having MS "Still sucks, Robin. It really does," and "I have so many friends who have MS. And we talk to each other constantly. And I don't have one that says, 'I'm great.'" Applegate added, "There is no great. There's a better day and a less s---- day. This is a lifelong disease with no cure. Period."

One aspect that gives her some levity is watching shows on Bravo. "But Bravo makes me at a one," she said as Roberts laughed. "Put on freaking Bravo, and I'm like, thank you, Andy Cohen, you have changed my life."

Applegate has been very vocal with her Bravo opinions, with many Bravolebrities leaning into her tweets and comments. Most recently, she took a stand on how the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City behaved on their Below Deck Down Under superyacht vacation. “The treatment of the crew and my pals by the women was super gross,” she posted on X, adding, “I hope they apologized to Jason [Chambers] and Daisy [Kelliher]. Wow."

Bravo to her and her support system -- Christina Applegate shares the two things helping her cope with her MS diagnosis.
