Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another has won many battles during this year’s awards season. From victories at the Golden Globe Awards to the BAFTA Awards, it has been an incredible year for the film. And things could get even better, given the movie’s strong momentum heading into this year’s Academy Awards.

The possibility of revisiting the story of Bob and Willa once again is certainly exciting, especially for fans of Leonardo DiCaprio. But are we actually getting a sequel to the BAFTA-winning thriller One Battle After Another? Well, Perfidia herself – Teyana Taylor – has an update for fans.

In a conversation with IndieWire, Teyana teased that the discussion about a sequel is “very real.” She added that she, in fact, was “begging” PTA to make it happen. “I want to give everybody confirmation that I am currently begging PTA to give us that. I'm begging him to give us that.”

Teyana also shared some ideas she has for a potential sequel, suggesting it could explore Perfidia’s time in exile. “I'm like, 'We need to see what Perfidia did in those 16 years.' But Perfidia and Willa need some scenes together. When Willa walked out the door in that last scene, I said, 'Where's she really going? Is she going to free Deandra? Is she going to find her mommy?' I love that it's still hopeful, and it's room for a little part two in there somewhere.”

While nothing seems official yet, it’s interesting that hope for a sequel continues to grow, with cast members already sharing ideas about what a second installment might look like.

JD Graham had big plans for 2026, from touring across the United States and Europe to finishing his newest album. However, a serious car accident left him with a broken back and neck, forcing the country singer to cancel his tour. 

On February 24, Graham’s family revealed that he had been hit by a tractor-trailer and had to be airlifted to the hospital. “He has a broken back, broken neck, and broken ribs and they are not done with all of the tests,” his daughter said at the time. “He was hit by one semi and then slammed into another. The crash was severe, and first responders had to cut him out of his vehicle …”

Graham later updated fans on his recovery, but the next piece of news wasn’t what they had been hoping for.

“The entire European tour is canceled and all American dates are canceled through May at which time I will reassess what I am able to do,” he announced on Thursday, March 5. 

Even after a life-changing crash, Graham’s focus was on the fans who have supported him all along. Hoping to return to the stage by summer, he added, “I have to take this day by day and I’m not sure yet what that looks like and I ask for your patience as I don’t know where this goes at this point.” 

Before breaking the news about his tour, Graham made it clear how much he appreciated his followers. “I am so grateful for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for bringing me through this accident. I am overwhelmed by the generosity and outpouring of support from so many people.” 

Graham continued, “I am out of the hospital and have an extremely long recovery. I’m honestly not sure if/when I can get back to touring and connecting with you lovely folks as my future looks so different.”

Having faced a close brush with death, Graham reminded fans to cherish their loved ones and “hug your friends and family.” He added, “I truly love all of you and thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me through this.” 

Despite the disappointing news about his tour, Graham ended his update on a bright note by releasing his newest album, Uppers & Downers. “I didn’t want it just sitting in a Dropbox folder. Please give it a listen and share with your friends.” 

Fans have already donated nearly $70,000 to Graham’s GoFundMe, helping with his medical expenses and recovery. In a recent message, he thanked everyone for their generosity. 

“From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being there for me. Your kindness, encouragement, and compassion mean the world to me,” he wrote.

How many kids does Savannah Guthrie have?

Savannah, 54, has two children with husband Michael Feldman: daughter Vale Guthrie Feldman (born August 2014), and son Charles “Charley” Max Guthrie Feldman (born December 2016). Vale and Charley are currently 11 years old and 9 years old, respectively.

Guthrie was 42 years old when she gave birth to her daughter, Vale, on August 13, 2014. She was actually four months pregnant with Vale at her wedding reception.

During the pregnancy, Guthrie blogged: “I’m 42 years old, and I honestly didn’t know if I’d ever get this chance. I’ve never been more thankful or felt more blessed from above. I know how lucky I am. For a long time, I think I was afraid to even let myself think about how much I hoped to one day have a baby. So that’s my mindset as my hubby and I embark on this adventure.”

How old was Savannah Guthrie when she had her son?

On December 8, 2016, the then-44-year-old Guthrie welcomed her second child, a son named Charles. "Weeks shy of my forty-fifth birthday, my little firecracker Charley wailed his way into the world," Savannah wrote in another guest post on Ann Voskamp's blog. "Our family was complete."

Across social media and on Today, Savannah has shared relatable—and often hilarious—stories about raising two young kids, even revealing that Charley and Vale are "so embarrassed" of their famous mom.

“My little boy—he’s 8—they’re having ‘May Day’ at school, which is a little event and there’s an afterparty in their second-grade homeroom,” Savannah said during Today with Jenna & Friends on May 20, 2025. “He literally said to me this morning, ‘Mommy, I want you to come to May Day, but I do not want you to come to the afterparty.’”

Savannah recounted his reply after she asked why: "He's like, 'It’s gotten around that some people know you work on the news and it’s weird and it’s embarrassing ... We don’t need that attention so, you’re not invited to the afterparty.'" To which she joked, "But I'm bringing the juice boxes!"

Did Savannah Guthrie use IVF?

Although her first pregnancy occurred naturally at age 42, she conceived Charley via in vitro fertilization (IVF). Following a miscarriage after the birth of her daughter Vale, Savannah underwent two rounds of IVF treatments to get pregnant with her son, whom she calls a "medical miracle."

As for making the choice to pursue IVF treatment, Guthrie told Health magazine in a 2019 cover story: “I didn’t want to start a process where we spent all of our present searching after some future … when our present was so lovely and beautiful and enough. But I also knew I would love for Vale to have a sibling—especially because we are older, it was important to me for her to have a sibling, somebody to do life with.”

She called Charley "the last egg out," telling the outlet: "We’re so blessed. Going through what we did, it makes you realize that everything has to go just right to have a healthy baby. I really feel for so many women who are struggling and wishing and wondering, ‘When’s it gonna be my turn?’ I know. And I understand.”

Who takes care of Savannah Guthrie's children?

Guthrie and husband Michael Feldman reportedly don't employ a nanny to assist with childcare. Instead, they use a "tag-team" approach to get their kids up and out of the house every day, despite the fact that both are working professionals. (Feldman works as a communications and political consultant.)

"Mike is chief technology officer and chief grilling officer," Guthrie joked in a 2020 issue of Reveal. "He sets the alarm and gets up early every day to help me get ready for the Today show. And he sets up the kids for Zoom school. Then, about mid-morning, it’s my turn to take over for a little while so he can do his actual job, as founder of a strategic consulting company."

What has Savannah Guthrie said about parenting?

Although Savannah doesn’t share a ton of personal information about her kids, she has offered tidbits about life as a mom and her approach to parenting. She is serious about limiting her kids’ access to technology, for example, and keeping them safe while doing so.

“My daughter got a little personal iCloud address, and I actually drafted a contract for her to sign,” Guthrie said in this August 2025 clip from Today With Jenna & Friends:

“It was basically like, ‘I know that mommy and daddy love me more than anything in the world,’” Savannah continued. “‘I know that mommy and daddy can read my texts. I know I wouldn’t put in a text anything I don’t want grandma and grandpa to see [or] that I wouldn’t want to see on the front page of the New York Times.’”

For now, Vale only has an iCloud address and not an actual iPhone. Savannah explained that her daughter “knows that I reserve the right to look at her text,” but that she “trusts” her.

Barash posted several photos to announce that not only is Isabella pregnant, but the gender reveal confirms they are expecting a son. Harper and Joaquin were included in the exciting news, which Barash has been sitting on for a while.

A representative for Spears released a statement saying the arrest was an "unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable" and she "will take the right steps and comply with the law." The singer does seem to want privacy since she deleted her Instagram. She previously would post herself dancing on the profile.

On February 4, she posted about her family after being freed from her conservatorship. “As people, all we really want is to feel connected to each other and never feel alone … for those of you in your family that have said to help you is to isolate you and make you feel unbelievably left out … they were wrong,” read the caption of a picture of a baby holding an adult's finger. “We can forgive as people but [you] don’t ever forget. Yearning and longing for contact is always crucial !!!”

The singer is due to appear in court on May 4, according to Today.

Rising '90s child actors Natalie Portman, 44, and Macaulay Culkin, 45, go way back. Like a trio of decades back. But today, the two cherished actors smiled and chummed it up on the streets of Paris, where both stars are in town for Paris Fashion Week.

In May 1970, the little-known band Mungo Jerry shocked the music industry when their debut single “In the Summertime” jumped from No. 13 to No. 1 on the U.K. Singles Chart in just one week.

The four-piece band performed without a traditional drummer, relying instead on Paul King on guitar, stand-up bass played by Mike Cole and piano from Colin Earl.

Looking for a follow-up hit, they called on producer and manager Barry Murray, who encouraged the band to go for something punchier than their debut. 

“After the decision not to run with ‘Have a Whiff On Me,’ ‘Follow Me Down’ was also considered, Barry decided on ‘Baby Jump’ after I had come up with the new lyric. I had no title and suggested that I call the song ‘Baby Jump’ but I was unsure, Barry said that it was a good idea,” Dorset recalled in Baby Jump Sheet Music. 

“The groove that we created on stage with this one was tremendous and we also used to play it at the rock‘n roll clubs.” 

Barry had attended one of the band’s gigs at the Northcote Arms and was impressed by the dancing in the crowd. Inspired by the energy he saw, Dorset realized it would make the perfect basis for a new song.

“Somebody called out for me to play ‘Brand New Cadillac’ but I didn’t know it, although I had heard the song, so I just played the riff on the guitar and everybody in the band joined in and I made up and mumbled some words, it developed from there,” he continued. 

“It was also good that it was totally different from anything else that we had recorded so it would surprise the critics who thought that we would most probably follow up ‘In The Summertime’ with something similar. It was a good move.” 

Just like their debut, the follow-up became a major hit, claiming the No. 1 spot on the U.K. Singles Chart for two weeks in March 1971. However, it would also be the last time Mungo Jerry topped the charts. 

The band, which went through several lineup changes, continued releasing songs that made it into the Top 20, though none would ever return to No. 1 in the U.K.

Although live performances are now less frequent, Mungo Jerry has kept producing new music. In 2025, they released the single “The Wonder of Christmas,” along with updated versions of some of their classic hits. 

While no live shows are currently scheduled, the band hopes to share a live-streamed performance later this year.

Sargassum Blooms to Sink Up Beaches in 2026

Those who have big beach vacations planned for 2026 may be in for a rude awakening when they arrive on the sandy shores of their favorite destinations. That's because The Weather Channel says this year is going to be a very stinky one for beachgoers thanks to a massive sargassum bloom that experts are saying may be the worst one on record.

According to the University of South Florida Optical Oceanography Lab's Sargassum Watch System (SaWS), researchers are detecting huge levels of the seaweed across many parts of the Caribbean. The organization says that several beaches are likely to feel the pain as a result of the bloom's size, including beaches located along the following shorelines:

• Both eastern and western Caribbean
• Western Atlantic
• Gulf of Mexico

I absolutely hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it looks like the 1.7 million tons (and counting!) of sargassum are already starting to make waves (pun intended) at beaches located in the French Antilles, Dominica, and Barbados. According to The Weather Channel, Cancun and Tulum are poised to be next, and massive amounts of the stinky seaweed are starting to pile up.

What Should You Expect from This Year's Record Breaking Sargassum Blooms

Other than the smell—which has been compared to the smell of a rotten egg—some people may experience physical symptoms as a result of exposure to the sargassum blooms. Unfortunately, sargassum can harbor organisms that can cause skin irritation upon contact, like jelly fish, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Additionally, the hydrogen sulfide and ammonia levels that are produced when the sargassum seaweed begins to break down can cause some health complications, including cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological impacts.

Obviously, none of that is what you want to hear before heading out for your beach vacation. So, my advice would be to check in with the hotel or resort where you plan to stay, and see if they have any intel specific to the sargassum blooms in the area where you're heading before you pack your bags, and whether they have plans to mitigate the accumulations as they arise. Otherwise, you may find yourself needing to add some nose plugs to your luggage when you're packing your bags.

Balfe was born on Oct. 4, 1979, in Dublin, Ireland, and raised in the nearby rural village of Tydavnet, one of five kids and two foster children. Describing a typical Sunday during her childhood, she told Parade, “We’d have a big noisy lunch and then everyone [would] retreat to their corners. There was always a lot of reading, or if TV was on, I’d watch Formula One racing with my dad. It was always quite a noisy, big family day because everyone was in the house.”

For that audition, the 19-year-old from El Paso, TX, performed the original song, “Surrender,” which he performs on this coming Monday’s “Ohana Round” episode taking place at the Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawai’i in hopes of moving from the Top 30 into the Top 20.

 Julián tells the audience, “When I wrote the song ‘Surrender,’ I was really, really down, so I went to my dad and he told me that anxiety, the fear, whatever's out of your control, let it stay out of your control. It's not worth your fear. He was the one that said surrender. Surrender those feelings.”

This season during his audition, Julián explained that he was diagnosed with anxiety and depression as a freshman in high school. “I had been struggling with those feelings for a big part of my life. Through elementary and middle school. For me, anxiety is just like a big wave crashing on you and you just drown.”

Julián turned to mental health experts and it worked and he was able to return to American Idol Season 24 with a new attitude.

Paul Simon Has Triumphed After Health Issues

Last summer, the legendary singer was forced to cancel two shows on his A Quiet Celebration Tour in Philadelphia due to “unmanageable” back pain, he shared on his Instagram page. He also noted that he would undergo a “minor surgical procedure.”

“Regretfully, Paul must cancel two shows tonight, June 28, and tomorrow night, June 29, at Philadelphia’s Academy of Music,” the statement read. “Paul has been struggling with chronic and intense back pain. Today, it has become unmanageable and demands immediate attention. Unfortunately, we have to cancel these shows at this time, as we don’t have the ability to reschedule them.”

The statement continued, noting that they were not yet able to reschedule the concerts for later dates.

“Unfortunately, we have to cancel these shows at this time, as we don’t have the ability to reschedule them. However, we are hopeful after this minor surgical procedure which has been scheduled in the next few days, Paul will be able to complete the tour as well as look into returning to make up these dates,” the statement continued. “In the meantime, please go to your point of purchase or local ticket provider for a full refund.”

Being back on tour was likely a triumph for Simon, who has dealt with significant hearing loss that’s kept him off the road in recent years. Seeing him bring the crowd to tears is yet another success story for the musical icon!

House of Villains Season 3 is giving us some interesting allies and enemies. Johnny Middlebrooks from Love Island is known for weaponizing his good looks to get his way. Ashley Mitchell from The Challenge won $1 million by refusing to split it with Hunter Barfield.

Ashley switched up her strategy by working more closely with the men, who have experience with competitive games. Her focus has mostly been on Johnny, and it's successfully keeping her safe.

"I don't know if you heard of this book before," he replied. "It's called the dictionary by Webster." She laughed and asked about his bad vocabulary.

The rest of the house noticed how close they were getting. "I would like some tea about whether you think Ashley gonna try f--k Johnny," Kate Chastain said to Tiffany Pollard. They gossiped about the piggyback ride.

Johnny followed Ashley to bed, which got awkward with Paul Abrahamian sitting on their bed right next to the flirty pair. "Do you want me to leave or something?" the Big Brotheralum asked them before leaving. Johnny and Ashley kissed in the bathroom, then in the bedroom.

The rest of the house was aware of the hookup. Plane Jane believed she was twice Johnny's age, which isn't correct. The teaser for episode 5 shows Johnny and Ashley might be targeted for their relationship.

On Friday, March 6, the Today show anchor invited fans to participate in Dress In Blue Day, an annual observance designated to help raise awareness for colorectal cancer. The event takes place every year on the first Friday in March, which is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.

Melvin, 46, has a personal connection to the cause, after losing his older half-brother to the disease. Meadows died at the age of 43 in December 2020 after having been diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer four years prior.

Melvin has since become an advocate for colorectal cancer awareness and works closely with the Colorectal Cancer Alliance.

In his Instagram post on Friday, Melvin showed off his all-blue outfit for the day's broadcast, as he wore a blue suit paired with a paisley tie featuring several different blue hues. In the photo, he held up a sign that read, "Dress in blue if you have had enough."

In the caption, Melvin wrote, "Join me this #DressInBlueDay to honor those impacted by colorectal cancer, which is now the leading cause of cancer deaths in people under 50."

"I’m wearing blue in memory of my brother, Lawrence," he added, before concluding the post, "Let’s tell the world we’ve had #EnoughCRC 💙"

The NBC journalist previously announced the death of his brother via Instagram in 2020, sharing at the time that Lawrence, a Baptist minister was" one of the best human beings you would’ve ever known."

"Colon cancer robbed him and us of so much. He was diagnosed at 39. He died Wednesday at 43," Melvin wrote at the time, sharing a photo alongside Meadows, as well as their younger brother, Ryan Melvin.

"He spent a fair amount of time over the past few years raising awareness about the disease. We’ll be keeping up that fight," Melvin added. "We love you, bro."

Candace Cameron Bure's daughter Natasha Perry is sharing a very special accomplishment with her mom.

The mother-daughter-duo, who were both nominated at the faith-based Movieguide Awards, which aired Thursday, had a special moment when Perry accepted her award for Best Actress in a Television Performance in Timeless Tidings of Joy, a holiday TV film that they both starred in together.

While accepting her award, Perry made sure to give a shout out to the Full House icon and co-star. Cameras captured Bure a bit misty-eyed while watching her daughter on stage.

"I share this award with my beautiful mother who I've seen on this stage so many times, and I'm so inspired by you," she said. "It's such a gift to be able to work with people that you really love and even more special to do it with a parent and I'm so grateful."

Perry also thanked her husband, Steven, whom she married in September, while accepting the award.

"Thank you so much to my amazing husband, who's an angel," she gushed. "I love you, thank you for inspiring me and pushing me as a human being and as a creative. I really couldn't do any of this without you and I'm so thankful."

Bure and Perry were also both nominated for the Most Inspiring Performance for Streaming (Actress) award, which ultimately went to Naya Desir‑Johnson.

Timeless Tidings of Joy also won the award for Best TV Program for Families.

Chatting on the red carpet ahead of the awards Bure, who perhaps had a mother's premonition as to who would win, said working together was a "dream come true."

"It was a mom's dream come true to work together, and I hope she walks up on that stage and takes the award tonight," she said. "There's nothing that would make me more proud, but it's incredible to be able to work with your child, with your kid, she's not a kid, but I'm so proud of her and it's a great night to celebrate."

"I just feel like I got to work with my best friend," she said of working with Perry.

The awards Great American Family network, which Bure is Chief Creative Officer of, and is streaming on Pure Flix.
