This Iconic '80s Rock Band Just Added New 2027 Dates at the Vegas Sphere
If you thought the energy at the Sphere couldn't get any more intense, one of the biggest names in rock history is proving that "unbelievable demand" is an understatement. While the initial buzz for the Metallica residency began a few days ago, the band just confirmed a major update that officially extends the heavy-metal magic well into next year.
The "Life Burns Faster" production has officially added six new dates to its run at the world’s most advanced entertainment venue. For fans planning their 2026 and 2027 travel, this is the update you've been waiting for. The new shows are scheduled for October 8 and 10, November 5 and 7, and—in a historic move—January 28 and 30, 2027. Those January dates mark the very first shows the band has announced for the 2027 calendar year.

View this post on InstagramThe expansion brings the total to 14 nights of pure adrenaline, keeping with the band’s fan-favorite "No Repeat Weekend" format. If you’re lucky enough to snag tickets for a Thursday and Saturday run, you won't hear the same song twice. It’s a massive logistical feat that ensures every single night in the immersive, high-tech dome feels like a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

However, with great demand comes the inevitable rise of "scammers," and Metallica’s team is being incredibly proactive about protecting their community. The band's official social media accounts have issued a stern warning to only use official partners like Ticketmaster, Superfan.Live, and Vibee for ticket and travel packages. As the band put it: “PLEASE BE AWARE of false promises, inflated prices, and fraudulent offers.”
Presales for these new dates began this week, and if the first round was any indication, these seats will move faster than a Kirk Hammett solo. Whether you're a lifelong member of the "Metallica Family" or just want to see what happens when the world's most immersive screen meets the world's loudest band, it's officially time to start planning your Las Vegas pilgrimage.

Will Jamie Die in Battle? ‘Outlander’ Author Diana Gabaldon Breaks Down the Season 8 Premiere (Exclusive)
Outlander Season 8 begins with a scene that I have watched repeatedly and still don’t understand. Claire (Caitríona Balfe), as a doctor, has said numerous times that she would never take a life, but in it, she appears to kill the man who allegedly killed her daughter Faith, if indeed Faith actually did live.
When I mentioned this to Outlander creator and bestselling author Diana Gabaldon, she told me that the scene had been much condensed from the original script, which she didn’t write, but she believes its purpose is to explain how Claire and Jamie (Sam Heughan) end up with Fanny (Florrie Wilkinson).
Since I believe that Fanny is more likely Claire’s great niece than her granddaughter, I decided to put that to rest until there’s more information later in the season to explain it. After all, I have nothing to back my belief other than I did watch Blood of My Blood, so I do know that Claire has a brother she doesn’t know and that their mother could have taught him the song that Fanny knows if she's his daughter.
Homecoming — and a new neighborBut what brought joy in watching the episode was Jamie and Claire returning to Fraser’s Ridge, their true home, and finding out that Young Ian (John Bell) and the men of the Ridge had constructed them a home based on the drawings that Jamie had made after the fire burnt their home.
But even with that, nothing was the same. The Ridge has grown and prospered. There’s the trading post, where we met Captain Charles Cunningham (Kieran Bew), a former Redcoat, who served the King for 30 years, who may not be a man who can be trusted to be on the side of the fight for independence. And with Jamie having been gone for so many years, do the tenants still see him as the Laird? Or will they be swayed by Cunningham?
Diana says, “The tenants who were originally there do see Jamie as the rightful owner of the Ridge, and therefore, Himself (I don't think they'd be calling him "Laird," as his tenants are not a clan, and many of them don't know his past). Like pretty much everyone at the time, the tenants are reluctant to pick a side, not wanting to be involved in more violence and uncertainty. Still, people do have opinions, mostly based on their past experiences.
Sam Heughan, Kieran BewCourtesy: STARZ
“Ergo, those tenants who came to Jamie from Ardsmuir [Prison] are indeed his men. Those who came from "outside," so to speak, are naturally obligated to him--but perhaps don't share his allegiances. And there are those, like Captain Cunningham, who are openly pro-King, as a long-serving soldier in the British army.
“Had Jamie been present when Cunningham first turned up, he (Jamie) would have been much more wary than Hiram Crombie [Antony Byrne] about accepting Cunningham as a tenant, but he wasn't there to make that decision, so feels obliged to accept Cunningham (the man hasn't done anything objectionable, after all), but will be keeping an eye on him.”

A Fraser family reunionAnother happy moment for longtime viewers of Outlander was to see the family reunited when Brianna (Sophie Skelton), Roger (Richard Rankin), Jem (Matthew Adair) and Mandy (Rosa Morris) returned back from the future. It was Mandy’s heart issue that required surgery in the 20th century that made them leave in the first place, but once she had healed, the danger from Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton), who kidnapped Jem in order to get the boy to tell him where there was hidden gold, was an obstacle to their continued stay in future. That said, Rob is also a time traveler, and he could pop up in the 18th century.
As for why they decided to return, Diana says, “There were rather clear threats to their safety, and Brianna, of course, wants to see her parents again, and have them know their grandchildren.”
It may also mean that they will be in the past for the rest of their lives. Time travel takes its toll on the human body, and they just don’t have enough evidence as to how safe it is, even when they have the gems, which make it easier to go through.
And then there’s William (Charles Vandervaart), Jamie’s illegitimate son, who despite turning to his biological father for help at the end of Season 7 to help free Jane, is still reeling from the aftereffects of learning that Jamie was his biological father and that Lord John (David Berry), the father who raised him, lied to him. Then there’s Jane’s death, and most recently Lord John told William that Ben, his cousin who was like a brother to him, is dead.
Charles Vandervaart, David BerryCourtesy: STARZ
“William is having a noticeably Hard Time in adjusting to the rush of events,” Diana says. “He knows (now) who he is, but he doesn't know how to be that (or rather, to not be who he thought he was...). He doesn't (yet) know the actual circumstances of his birth and thinks that he may be the result of a rape that caused a) his birth, and consequently b) the death of his mother, who he grew up never knowing. I think he kind of has good reason to be confused, unsettled and angry.”

Is Jamie's fate already written? And then there’s the matter of Frank Randall’s (Tobias Menzies) book, which Brianna brought back from the future, in which Frank writes that Jamie died at the Battle at Kings Mountain. The question raised is whether it was the truth and Jamie will die in Season 8 of Outlander, or did Frank have an ulterior motive for writing it? For example, was he jealous of Claire’s relationship with Jamie and wanted to make sure that she didn’t go back through the stones in search of him at some point in their lives.
Diana had a great deal to say on this:
“Well, only Frank would know that, but for the record undefined, his book merely gives a good, mostly unbiased (remember that he's an historian; this is presumably professional objectivity) account of the events leading up to the Battle of Kings Mountain). He gives capsule biographies of the principal actors in that battle: Patrick Ferguson, William Campbell, etc., and includes mention of "James Fraser" as one of the captains of the Patriot force (there were six or seven of them, all theoretically equal in power, having their own homegrown troops to order).
Sam HeughanCourtesy: STARZ
“He also mentions several other men named James Fraser in the course of the book, some of whom might be Jamie, and some who definitely aren't. So, book-wise, Frank notes that someone named James Fraser on the Patriot side died in the battle, but he gives no details of place or description, so we have no reason (other than the obvious [cough]) to assume that it's our James Fraser who dies in the battle.

“But the books are the books and the show is the show...ergo, we don't have time for subtlety, here. (I did like the detail of Jamie being shocked at Frank's resemblance to Black Jack Randall, and feeling somewhat betrayed that Claire had never told him that. That quiet, "Ye should have told me" was very affecting.)
“Anyway, I don't think Frank could have written the book with the thought of preventing Claire from going back to the past, as he evidently never tried to get her to read it (and she normally didn't read any of his scholarly output).”
Outlander will air new episodes each Friday at midnight ET on the STARZ app, all STARZ streaming and on-demand platforms; and at 8 p.m. ET/PT/7 Central on the linear network.

Sam Heughan’s Net Worth: How the ‘Outlander’ Star Turned Fame Into a Growing Empire
Sam Heughan spent more than a decade playing Jamie Fraser on Outlander, turning the rugged Highland warrior into one of TV’s most beloved romantic heroes—and boosting his net worth along the way.
But acting is only part of Heughan’s growing empire. Over the years, he’s expanded into writing, producing and entrepreneurialism, launching a successful liquor brand inspired by the show that made him famous. Between his TV paychecks, business ventures and bestselling books, the fan-favorite actor has built an impressive fortune.
Here’s a closer look at how he got there—and how much he’s worth today.
Where did Sam Heughan grow up?To quote his memoir, Waypoints: My Scottish Journey, Heughan’s childhood was “idyllic.” He was born in the small village of Balmaclellan in Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland, and raised in New Galloway by a single mother, Chrissie Heughan, an artist and artisan papermaker.
At 12, his family, including an older brother, relocated to Edinburgh, where he found his way to the Royal Lyceum’s Youth Theatre program.
“Movies or TV were not the motivation [to act]; it was definitely theater,” he told Parade. “Before that, I had no idea what I wanted to be. I was interested in magic, and being a soldier, and a knight and all that stuff that little boys are interested in. So in a way, I’m doing exactly what the little boy wanted, which was to get to play different things.”

When did Sam Heughan start acting?Heughan spent a couple years traveling after high school, then attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, now known as the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. His first big break came while he was still enrolled in the program, when he earned a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for Most Promising Performer for his role in the West End play Outlying Islands.
After graduating in 2003, he booked small roles in TV and film, then as a working actor out of London, and muddled through several pilot seasons in Los Angeles. But it would be another 10 years before he was cast in Outlander.
“I had done a variety of jobs to support myself over the years: delivered sandwiches by bicycle, sold perfume in Harrods, drawn up contracts for mental health doctors in the NHS and various other bar and restaurant jobs around London,” he wrote in the book Clanlands. “...I was really beginning to question if I could keep going with no real long-term opportunities in sight.”
Then, “out of the blue,” came the screen test that would change his life—and, well, “you know the rest.”

How did Sam Heughan become famous?Heughan became famous in 2014 when he started playing Jamie Fraser on Outlander.
“When I first found out [I was cast], I was in a grocery store in London, and I had a whole bag of groceries,” he told Good Morning America. “My agent called me and I finally got the job and I dropped all the groceries and I was screaming at the top of my voice and I think I probably swore a lot as well.”
Based on the bestselling novels by Diana Gabaldon, the series follows the romance between Jamie, an 18th-century Scottish Highlander, and time-traveling nurse Claire Randall, played by Caitríona Balfe.
The show quickly developed a rabid global fan base, turning Heughan into a household name—and bona fide heartthrob.
“My life has changed in so many ways because of the show,” Heughan told Vanity Fair in 2016. “I had just come from Los Angeles, and there’s a lot of billboards around the city and on buses and it’s really strange to be driving past and see myself up there,” he said. “It’s kind of overwhelming, really.”
What is Sam Heughan’s net worth in 2026?According to Celebrity Net Worth, Heughan’s net worth as of 2026 is $5 million. Much of that wealth comes from his long run on Outlander, but he’s also made a healthy sum from starring in other TV projects and movies, business ventures, book writing and more.

How much did Sam Heughan make for Outlander?Neither Heughan nor Starz have officially confirmed his salary, but Variety reported in 2016 that he earned $100,000 per episode.
He probably made less for Season 1 (Balfe said she did) and more in later seasons, as the show’s popularity grew. Regardless, with seasons typically running 12 to 16 episodes, his annual earnings for most of the series would be in the seven figures.
How much did Sam Heughan make for The Couple Next Door?Heughan’s salary for the psychological drama The Couple Next Door hasn’t been made public. But since the limited series also aired on Starz, it’s possible his pay was in a similar range to what he earned for Outlander.

What was Sam Heughan paid for Men in Kilts?Heughan’s salary for the travel docu-series Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip with Sam and Graham, which he starred in and produced alongside his Outlander co-star Graham McTavish, hasn’t been publicly reported. But payday aside, Heughan found the project to be an incredibly personal and rewarding one.
“I love my country, but being back in Scotland [to shootOutlander] made me realize what it has to offer,” he told Parade. “I was hiking on the weekends, I was cycling, kayaking and whatever, and I realized what a great country it is. …I wanted to share my passion and love of Scotland with everyone.”
How many books has Sam Heughan written?Heughan has written or co-written five books:
- Clanlands (2020)
- The Clanlands Almanac (2021)
- Waypoints (2022)
- Clanlands in New Zealand (2023)
- The Cocktail Diaries: A Spirited Adventure (2025)
Yes. Heughan founded The Sassenach, a blended Scotch whisky brand, in 2020, and has since expanded the spirits line to include Sassenach Fine Scottish Vodka, Sassenach Wild Scottish Gin and Sassenach Select Tequila. (The name “Sassenach” comes from the Gaelic nickname Jamie Fraser gives Claire in Outlander.)
What distillery does Sam Heughan own?In 2025, Heughan launched the Galloway Distillery, located in the region where he grew up, to create his own spirits with a focus on sustainable, local production. In turn, he’s helped boost his hometown's economy.
"My purpose is to shine a light on this unsung corner of Scotland, that has so much to offer," Heughan said when the distillery launched. "This represents a true homecoming and new chapter.”
What does Sam Heughan make from his liquor brand?Exact profits aren’t public, but celebrity spirits brands can generate significant revenue, especially when they have the sort of built-in, loyal fanbase Heughan does. And because the Sassenach brand regularly sells out limited releases and has expanded into multiple products, there’s reason to believe it’s quite a profitable business venture.
It’s certainly a boon to Heughan's native country. “I’ve put my money where my mouth is,” Heughan, who takes great pride in his Scottish roots, told Parade. “I’ve fully financed the Galloway Distillery in my hometown, and I’m trying to help renovate and support other businesses and other producers there.”

New Video of Oprah at Paris Fashion Week Alarms Fans
Oprah Winfrey’s presence at Paris Fashion Week has once again sparked conversation online.
As the fashion calendar kicked into high gear, celebrities and fashion personalities flocked to major cities including London, Milan, New York and most recently Paris.
As for the media mogul, she stepped out for her second show to attend the Chloé Fall/Winter 2026 collection.
The front row was filled with familiar faces, from rising stars like Aimee Lou Wood to pop singer Olivia Rodrigo to legendary A-listers like Brooke Shields, Gayle King and of course Oprah.
During the event, the iconic TV host was spotted in a stunning peach-colored cropped top with a high-collar detail paired with a cream-colored pussy-bow blouse, wide-legged jeans and nude high heels.

She completed the ensemble with tinted glasses and a white handbag.
As for her glam, she kept it simple and opted for a sleek braided high ponytail.
Oprah was joined by her longtime friend Gayle King, who looked just as dazzling.
With the buzz surrounding the event, it didn't take long for the award-winning host's appearance to catch people's attention.
In a video circulating on social media, the Oprah Winfrey Show host appeared visibly slimmer.
However, despite looking dressed to the nines, fans on social media noticed the drastic change and some expressed concern about the possible effects.
Based on the comments, some thought it was due to medications known as GLP-1 agonists.
“No muscle coming back after those meds. Which includes the heart, stomach and intestines. Just look at the lawsuits now,” one wrote on X.
“This drug is killing them all slowly. They can't stop losing weight, and they can't stop taking the drug. She can barely walk on her own,” a commenter said.
🚨 “OZEMPIC OPRAH” ERUPTS VIRAL AFTER PARIS FASHION WEEK — PEOPLE CAN’T BELIEVE THEIR EYES
New footage of Oprah Winfrey at Paris Fashion Week is spreading fast after viewers noticed how different the media mogul looks.
Some online immediately started calling her “Ozempic… pic.twitter.com/8bskJKf7l0
The same goes for another who was worried about the impact of the drug, adding, “Can’t wait for the long-term effects for them since they’re not diabetics.”
On the other hand, some speculated that it might just be the styling or that she underwent an enhancement.
“I think she's had something done, too,” an X user mentioned.
“Her stylist hates her. Every single piece of clothing that is picked for her is the wrong one for her body shape,” a commenter wrote.
“And just let her wear flats. She looks like a Clydesdale learning to walk,” another echoed.
“She has poor posture, her shoulders are very rounded, she does not have a straight back,” a follower chimed in.
In 2025, the talk show host and actress revealed that she had taken weight-loss medication.
"One of the things that I realized the very first time I took a GLP-1 was that all these years I thought that thin people just had more willpower, they ate better foods, they were able to stick to it longer, they never had a potato chip, and then I realized the very first time I took the GLP-1 that, 'Oh, they're not even thinking about it,” she mentioned in The Oprah Podcast, as cited by Today. “They're only eating when they're hungry, and they're stopping when they're full," she said on the podcast.
Her weight loss transformation first became noticeable when she appeared on the red carpet at the premiere of The Color Purple in December 2023.
Prior to that, she underwent double knee replacement surgery in 2021, which may explain why she appeared to struggle while walking during the recent public appearance.

In More Than 10 Years, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes Make Rare Public Appearance Together
Ryan Gosling surprised wife, Eva Mendes, for her 52nd birthday on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, marking the first time the couple has been publicly spotted together in over a decade.
The couple, who often share supportive messages on Instagram, were in New York City for Gosling’s Saturday Night Livehosting gig and to promote his new film Project Hail Mary. Determined to make her birthday extra special, Gosling—who was Jimmy Fallon’s guest last night—got the audience involved when he suggested they all sing “Happy Birthday” to Mendes, who was backstage during his appearance.
After his suggestion that Mendes join him onstage, Gosling joked that "You might find me in the Hudson River tomorrow," surprising her at the last minute. Cameras captured Mendes walking to the stage, looking a little surprised, and the audience cheered once she arrived on set.
Gosling met his wife by the studio doors and led her to the stage to a standing ovation from the crowd. Mendes thanked the crowd, which was filled with teachers, exclaiming that they are underpaid and amazing. She joked, "You'll cut all of this, right?" She added, "I had so many amazing teachers mentor me, and I want to say thank you to you guys."

— The Tonight Show (@FallonTonight) March 6, 2026To lead the crowd, Gosling shouted out a band director in the audience, who cued up his high school marching band to play "Happy Birthday" to Mendes. That's when the curtain parted and the marching band appeared amid smoke, holding a sign that read, "Happy Birthday Eva!"
The song ended with confetti and Fallon yelling, "Happy Birthday Eva!" as Mendes hugged and kissed Gosling onstage.
Mendes explained in the past why she and Gosling aren't hitting the red carpet together or doing public events. During Gosling's run on Barbie, a fan asked why they didn't walk the red carpet together. Mendes replied that "we don’t do those things together.” She added, “Like these photos I’ve been posting, I’m only comfortable posting because it’s already out there... By ‘not comfortable,’ I mean exposing our very private life that we value. I’m still dying to do another movie with him though…"
A Cult Classic Once Dubbed ‘Mediocre’ Debuted in Theaters 28 Years Ago Today
Almost three decades ago, film history was made with the release of a beloved cult classic film starring Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, and Julianne Moore called The Big Lebowski. The story follows Bridges as Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski, a slacker and bowler who gets wrapped up in a crazy plot after a case of mistaken identity.
The movie, directed by the Coen Brothers, hit theaters on March 6, 1998, and initial reviews from critics were quite mixed. One journalist at The GW Hatchet proclaimed in their review, "Big Lebowski ranks mediocre among Coen brother movies," comparing it to Raising Arizona and Fargo.
They went on, writing of the now-revered movie, "It definitely has its moments – mostly in the first half – but it drags in the second and stumbles under the weight of its plot."
At the time, The Hollywood Reporter called it "a deliriously fractured film," but felt that it would likely connect with some audiences, saying it should "roll box office strikes with select-siters and score some winning spares with mainstream viewers."
Unbeknownst to these critics, The Big Lebowski would go on to become a fan-favorite film to many, regularly named movie fans' favorite movie of all time, and often making it into top spots on movie ranking lists. In 2010, The Guardian declared The Big Lebowski the 12th best comedy film of all time.

Even now, "The Dude" is arguably the role that Bridges is the most known for, and out of the Coen Brothers' many fantastic films, The Big Lebowski is likely the most well-known movie, aside from maybe Fargo.
Speaking with People in 2025, Bridges talked about whether he would ever get tired of being recognized for this role, saying, "Not really. I'm so fond of that movie and so happy that I'm a part of it." Even as a member of the cast, Bridges called The Big Lebowski "one of my favorite movies."

Savannah Guthrie’s Mom Case: Retired SWAT Commander Raises Disturbing Possibility About the Suspect (Exclusive)
A retired SWAT commander who spent decades working high-risk operations in Arizona believes the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie—the mother of Savannah Guthrie—point to something deliberate. In an exclusive interview with Parade, Bob Krygier, a former commander with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team, said several details in the case suggest the suspect may have specifically targeted the home and arrived prepared.
In particular, Krygier points to the fact that the individual on Nancy's front stoop was wearing a mask and gloves—details he says are unusual for a typical burglary, which is often a crime of opportunity rather than a carefully planned operation.
"I do think that this was a very intentional crime. I think it was targeted and specific to this house," Krygier says, adding that he doesn't think this incident was a "burglary gone wrong" because the incident happened in the dead of night.
"There's too big of chance of someone being home," Krygier says.
"The fact that the suspect is wearing a mask and the gloves shows that they were very prepared to go to this house with a specific reason. Most burglars typically are opportunists and don't plan something that well, especially in Tucson. Burglary is typically a crime of opportunity and whoever commits it wants to get in and get out without being seen or noticed," he continued.
Krygier then opens up the disturbing possibility that the suspect or suspects in the case had this all planned out.
"I feel that the planning that went into this makes it look to me very intentional. That does not mean that the suspect is a very sophisticated criminal, but at least had a plan and has remained relatively quiet since the incident," Krygier tells Parade.
Nancy, 84, has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1. In the most recent update from Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, investigators are "definitely closer" to finding out who's responsible for Nancy's disappearance.

But at a deeper level, it speaks of your spiritual divine calling, according to the relationship between astrology and numerology.

Birth Year 1: To Lead From the SoulGoal-oriented and innovative, those born on a 1 year are ruled by the Sun and were born to lead. You may notice yourself truly shining, however, when you’re leading from your inner and not your outer self. Popularity and leadership are part of your journey, but not as important as always coming back to your center. Your spiritual path involves overcoming any ego-led behaviors to make room to focus on what truly feels right and authentic to your soul.
Birth Year 2: To Lead From the HeartIf you’re born in a year reduced to 2, you’re naturally intuitive and guided by the powers of the Moon. Your deep sensitivity may sometimes bring doubts about opening your heart. When you lead from your heart over your mind, you have the power to influence any situation by unifying contrasting energies. Your mind is the one connecting you to your intuition, but your heart is the one rightfully leading the way.
Birth Year 3: To Understand Cosmic LawsThose born in a year that reduces to 3 are guided by the philosophicalplanetJupiter. Charming and artistic, you’re a natural communicator. But you don’t stop there! Your intellect is concerned with big subjects, like the natural laws that govern our lives. Diving into the cosmic principles—like the law of attraction, vibration, polarity, relativity, rhythm, and transmutation of energy—is sure to bring you a deeper understanding of how the universe works.
Birth Year 4: To Awaken Kundalini EnergyIf you were born in a year that reduces to 4, you’re guided by Uranus. At a surface level, this number gives you a black-and-white and a no-nonsense approach to life. 45 Years Ago, Rick Springfield’s ‘General Hospital’ Role Turned Him Into a Soap Opera Icon
The year was 1981, and General Hospital was one of the highest-rated soap operas on daytime television when Rick Springfield was first introduced as Dr. Noah Drake in March.
His introduction appeared innocent enough as he met the hospital's staff, Steve (John Beradino), Dan (Frank Maxwell), head nurse Jessie (Emily McLaughlin), and doctor Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson).
However, Noah's storyline quickly shifted after Monica offered to show him around the hospital, and he became reacquainted with nurse Bobbie Spencer (Jackie Zeman). In a TikTok video of Springfield's first appearance, the two characters see one another after meeting several months prior at a medical convention.
"How've you been," Noah asked Bobbie. "Busy as a bee," she replied, adding, "It's real nice to see you again."

"I work staff here as of today," Noah declared. "Talk to you later Bobbie."
That short introduction set the stage for one of General Hospital's most unforgettable romances. The couple had a loving, but tumultuous relationship that spanned almost two years.
Bobbie wanted to settle down, while Noah didn't want commitment. She even went as far as to pretend she was blind to keep him by her side.
Her lie and his inability to commit caused their split, and Noah went on to date Tiffany Hill (Sharon Wyatt) before reconciling with Bobbie again. The two ended their relationship for good in 1983 when Noah left to accept a position at a different hospital out of state. Although the character would return for several guest-starring appearances in subsequent years, the impact of his first major storyline could never be replicated.
In 1998, Springfield told Steve Harvey that he got into acting because he was "in between record deals. I lucked out and could actually pay the light bill for a couple of months running."
After his General Hospital co-star Anthony Geary's death in 2025, Springfield recalled his time on the daytime soap with The Hollywood Reporter. "I got called up on this audition, and I didn’t think much of it. I just went in and did my reading," he explained.
"They must have seen something that I didn’t see and picked me for the part. It was a game-changer because of Tony Geary and [exec producer] Gloria Monty. Tony was very involved with her in the direction of the show. It became a bigger-than-primetime show."
"It was very fast. I was kind of thrown into it and just kind of learned by watching others and doing my best," he continued.
Springfield concluded, "It was more a line memorization thing than an actual acting gig, because there was just so much dialogue. It’s a different art form, the soap opera, from a nighttime show or a movie. And it’s really the actors who don’t get the credit that they deserve. Tony was one of the greats."
Rick Springfield continues to act. He recently appeared in the Hulu drama series All's Fair in 2025.
Ryan Gosling Sneaks a Marching Band Into the Tonight Show for Eva Mendes' Birthday
Eva Mendes thought she was just watching her husband promote his new movie. She had no idea a high school marching band was waiting for her.
On Wednesday's Tonight Show, Ryan Gosling was finishing an interview with Jimmy Fallon. With teachers packed into the studio audience and Project Hail Mary reviews being read out loud, he mentioned it was his wife's birthday. Then he asked if someone could get her on camera.
Mendes, who was watching from elsewhere in the building, was brought into the studio, at which point the North Bergen High School marching band was revealed behind her, followed by the audience singing 'Happy Birthday' while the band played. She looked genuinely caught off guard, immediately turning to the cameras and asking, 'You'll cut all this, right?.' Unsurprisingly, no, they would not.
Gosling had set the ambush up with Fallon in advance. 'She has no idea we're doing this,' he told the crowd before she walked in. For her part, Mendes spent the first moments of her surprise trying to thank the teachers in the room rather than acknowledge herself. 'You're so underpaid,' she told them. 'I had so many amazing teachers mentor me.'
The birthday moment was the emotional peak of an interview that had already covered plenty of ground. Gosling, who hosts Saturday Night Live for the fourth time this weekend, recalled the advice Mike Myers gave him before his first time hosting. Myers came into his dressing room and said he had something to pass along from Gilda Radner. 'The show is a monster and it needs to eat every Saturday night,' Gosling quoted him, 'and tonight it's having you for dinner.' Gosling called Myers 'a huge hero of mine' and said the line captured exactly what the experience feels like.
He also got candid about a childhood teacher who changed his reading habits with an unexpected incentive system. Whoever read the most books by the end of the year got to ride in her red Jeep. Gosling finished second. 'I won the New Kids on the Block CD,' he said, 'and I really wanted it. I've never read that many books in my life since.' When she left at the end of the year, a young Gosling, who had apparently watched Dead Poets Society well before most kids his age, stood on his desk and shouted 'O Captain! My Captain!' to send her off. 'No one got the reference,' he told Fallon. 'I don't even think she got the reference.'
In Project Hail Mary, Gosling plays a middle school science teacher who wakes up alone on a spaceship far from earth and discovers the fate of humanity depends on him. He co-stars with actress Sandra Hüller and a practical puppet alien named Rocky, operated by five puppeteers who called themselves the 'Rocketeers'. Gosling credited puppeteer James Ortiz with essentially becoming the character. 'Rocky would never do that,' Gosling recalled Ortiz insisting during rehearsals. 'We were like, 'Whoa.'
The film hits theaters March 20th. Everyone in the studio audience, including the marching band, was sent to an advance screening after the show.
I Travel Every Month—What’s in My Carry-On for Winter Travel

When it comes to packing for winter travel, bulky clothing can quickly take up valuable space in your suitcase or personal item. Over time, I’ve learned to be more mindful about the pieces I bring, focusing on items that keep me warm without adding unnecessary bulk. Whether I’m heading out for a quick overnight or a longer trip, I try to stick to essentials that are practical, versatile and easy to pack.
As someone who covers shopping and travel for outlets like Coveteur, Martha Stewart Weddings and Harper’s Bazaar, I’ve tested countless suitcases, organizers, beauty minis and travel gadgets. After trying just about everything, these are the items that are always in my carry-on, no matter where I’m headed, including cozy shoe, beauty products and a few other essentials I rely on from takeoff to landing.

Infinity Scarf Winter Double-Layer Neck Warmer
amazon.com
Infinity scarves are one of my favorite winter fashion life hacks. I wear them constantly because they keep your neck warm without the bulk of a traditional scarf. The double-layer knit with fleece lining adds warmth but the fabric is thin enough that you can pack a few in your suitcase and they take up virtually no space.
I usually bring neutral shades like black and ivory since they go with almost any outfit. The loop design also makes them incredibly practical for travel. You simply slip it over your head and go without having to constantly wrap or re-tie a scarf while moving through airports or walking around a new city.
AI Magnetic Hand Warmers Rechargeable 2 Pack
Amazon.com

Rechargeable magnetic hand warmers are a smart travel essential for colder months. Unlike disposable hand warmers, which can take up space when you pack several, these can be used again and again. The compact design makes them easy to slip into a pocket or small pouch and have on hand whenever temperatures drop. They’re a convenient way to stay warm while walking through cold cities, waiting for transportation or spending time outdoors.
Thermal Underwear Women Ultra-Soft Long Johns Set
Amazon.com
A thin set of thermal underwear is one of the easiest ways to stay warm without packing bulky winter clothing. These ultra-soft long johns are lightweight but effective, making them perfect for layering under everyday outfits. Since they come as a set, you can wear them together or mix them into different looks depending on the temperature. They’re especially useful for unexpected cold days when you want extra warmth without bringing excess clothing made specifically for winter.

Anua PDRN Collagen Glow Facial Serum Spray, Hydrating Face Mist
During the winter months my skin tends to get especially dry, so I always keep this hydrating facial mist with me. A quick spray instantly refreshes and hydrates while leaving your skin looking glowy and dewy. The convenient travel size makes it easy to throw in your purse so you can use it anytime your skin needs a quick boost.

Merino Wool Boot Socks

Keeping your feet warm is essential during the colder months and a good pair of thermal socks can make a big difference. These merino wool socks are incredibly cozy and comfortable, making them perfect for travel, long walks or simply staying warm on chilly days. They provide warmth without feeling overly bulky in your shoes, which makes them easy to pack and wear throughout the winter. I also love that they come in a variety of colors so you can rotate them with different outfits.

Hanyul Yuja Brightening Sleeping Mask
When it comes to skincare while traveling, I like to bring products that can do multiple things at once. This leave-on sleeping mask helps even out skin tone, brighten and deeply hydrate, which is especially helpful after long travel days or time in dry airplane cabins. It smells incredible and works well on all skin types. My skin is always oscillating between dry and oily, so I love knowing I can throw this in my bag and no matter the climate I’m in it will help balance, hydrate and brighten my skin.
Rothy’s Mini Zip Bucket Bag
I love bringing this bag when I travel because it folds down very small and takes up barely any space in my suitcase. It’s incredibly versatile and works with multiple outfits whether I’m out exploring during the day or heading to dinner. The zip-top closure keeps everything secure and the lightweight design makes it comfortable to wear over a puffer or winter jacket.

Anthropologie Has a Pair of ‘Sparkly' Crystal Hoop Earrings That 'Really Pop' for Only $30
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
Nothing completes an outfit like a good pair of hoop earrings. It’s one of those accessories that makes you look put together in seconds. While classic hoops are always versatile, adding a few unique statement styles to your collection keeps things feeling fresh and fun.
A beautiful option worth considering is the Delicate Glitz Hoop Earrings. They’re currently 38% off at Anthropologie, bringing the price down from $48 to just $30. They’re bold enough to make a statement but lightweight enough for all-day wear, so you’ll probably reach for them more often than you expect.
Delicate Glitz Hoop Earrings, $30 (was $48) at AnthropologieThese hoops are crafted from 14-karat gold-plated brass and cubic zirconia stones. They feature a secure hoop closure and measure 1.2 inches in diameter, which is that sweet-spot size that feels noticeable without overwhelming your look.
Design-wise, they showcase individual cubic zirconia crystals set in metal frames. The result is a slightly bubbly, scalloped silhouette that looks more unique than your average hoop. They’re available in gold and gunmetal, and each color gives off a completely different vibe. The gold pair feels warm and timeless with a luxurious look that leans feminine and refined. The gunmetal pair delivers more contrast and edge, giving you that cool-girl aesthetic with a bit of drama.
The earrings are surprisingly versatile and work for elevated daily wear, whether you’re heading to the office or meeting friends for weekend brunch. They transition seamlessly from day-to-night, pairing just as easily with a blazer as they do with a cocktail dress in a dimly lit setting. They’d also make a thoughtful gift that looks far more expensive than $30.
When styling them, let the hoops be the main character. If you have multiple piercings, pair them with tiny, simple studs in your second or third holes to create a clean stack-look. Skip chunky necklaces and instead opt for a thin chain or a delicate pendant so the earrings don’t compete with other bold shapes.
One shopper described them as “absolutely stunning, lightweight, and sparkly,” adding, “They’re the perfect size — not too big but they really pop. I get compliments every time I wear them.” Another said they’re “not too heavy” and look “beautiful on.”

'The Boys' Just Delivered the 'Supernatural' Reunion Fans Have Been Waiting 5 Years For
Prime Video dropped the final season trailer for The Boys on March 5, and buried in two minutes of Homelander chaos and Billy Butcher mayhem is something one massive pop-culture fandom will love. Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins share a scene together for the first time since Supernaturalended in November 2020.
The three are onscreen simultaneously, confirmed by showrunner Eric Kripke himself, who told TV Insider, 'I will confirm that Jared, Jensen, and Misha are all in the same frame together, and in the same storyline, and interacting with each other.' The trailer makes good on that promise. Padalecki appears in a tracksuit, with Ackles' Soldier Boy visible right behind him. Moments later, Soldier Boy is seen choking a character played by Collins.
None of it was accidental. Kripke created Supernatural and has been systematically rebuilding his old cast inside The Boys since Season 3, when Ackles first appeared as Soldier Boy. Jim Beaver, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Rob Benedict all made the jump before Padalecki or Collins. Kripke once called Padalecki 'the Pokémon I haven't collected yet,' and everything finally aligned after Walkerwas canceled in 2024, leaving Padalecki available.
What Padalecki and Collins are actually playing remains one of the most tightly guarded secrets of the final season. Their character names haven't been released, and the trailer deliberately withholds context. Padalecki has said only that his character is 'very excited to meet Soldier Boy' and that he appears in episode five. Collins' character appears to be in direct conflict with Soldier Boy, at least early on, though The Boys has a long history of shifting allegiances.
Related: Will Stephen King’s 'The Mist' Remake Change That Devastating Ending?
The broader plot of Season 5 frames the reunion in appropriately unhinged fashion. Homelander (Antony Starr) has consolidated control over the country and is now chasing immortality through the original Compound-V formula. Hughie, Mother's Milk, and Frenchie are imprisoned in a facility called a 'Freedom Camp.' Butcher returns with a virus designed to wipe every supe off the planet. The first two episodes premiere April 8 on Prime Video, with a weekly release schedule leading to the series finale on May 20.
For Supernatural fans, that ploy may not matter. Supernatural ran 15 seasons, from 2005 to 2020, and its fanbase has remained ferociously active in the years since. Ackles told Jimmy Fallon last year that convention appearances are still growing, not shrinking, five years after the finale. Kripke knows that audience, and he's clearly saving the trio's scenes for maximum impact once the season actually airs.
PetSmart Finally Settles the 'Pet Smart' vs. 'Pets Mart' Debate
There are certain things the internet will never let go of. Was the dress blue and black or white and gold? Was it "Yanny" or "Laurel"? Does pineapple belong on pizza? And now, the question tearing apart pet parents everywhere: Is it "Pet Smart" or "Pets Mart"?
The debate has been bouncing around social media for years, with multiple viral TikToks racking up hundreds of thousands of likes from creators demanding clarity. One of the most popular came from comedian Ben Lapidus, whose metal-style screaming video asking PetSmart to pick a side has pulled in nearly one million likes. He just released a full music video this week doubling down on his quest for answers.
@benlapidusWE WILL GET ANSWERS… 3.4.26 #punk #metal #musicalcomedy
♬ PETSMART - Ben LapidusOn Wednesday, March 4, PetSmart finally entered the chat. Using a soundbite from Lapidus' video, the retailer confirmed via TikTok: "It's Pet Smart, case closed. So no more screaming, you're scaring the pets."
@petsmartWe have ANSWERS 🤘 No more screaming, you're scaring the pets 🫣 #PetSmart #AnythingForPets
♬ original sound - PetSmartBut here's where it gets interesting. Both sides actually have a point.
The company was founded in 1986, with its first stores opening as PetFood Warehouse before rebranding to PETsMART in 1989. At that point, the name was very much meant to be read as "Pets Mart," a large-format store for pet products. But in 2005, the company officially rebranded to PetSmart, shifting the emphasis from "Mart" to "Smart." The redesigned logo split the name into two colors, "Pet" in red and "Smart" in blue, to make the new reading clear. The whole rebrand was designed to reposition the company as a pet care expert rather than just a discount warehouse.
So if you grew up calling it "Pets Mart," you weren't wrong. You were just about 20 years behind on the update.
PetSmart is far from the only brand that's had to set the record straight. Nike co-founder Phil Knight circled the correct pronunciation in a letter back in 2014, confirming it's "Nai-kee" and not "Nike" like "bike." The creator of the GIF file format used his 2013 Webby Awards speech to declare it's pronounced "jif," and the internet still largely refuses to cooperate.
May 21, 2013 – a day that would go down in infamy as when one of the greatest debates ‘webkind’ has ever faced was finally put to rest. Steve Wilhite was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at The 17th Annual #Webbys for his invention of the GIF. pic.twitter.com/rfkV8yuG0l
— The Webby Awards (@TheWebbyAwards) December 31, 2019IKEA is technically closer to "ee-KAY-uh" in Swedish, not "eye-KEY-ah." Shoppers still call Aldi "Aldi's" even though the official brand name is just Aldi. And Chipotle remains one of the most searched-for brand pronunciations online.
At least with PetSmart, there's an official answer. Whether the internet accepts it is another story entirely.

These 4 Sleepiest Birth Dates Need The Most Rest
When we feel like giving up or quitting, what we often need most is simply to rest. Our mind, body, and spirit are quite miraculous. The amazing feats we can achieve are endless. However, we can't give from an empty cup. Rest isn't a luxury; it's an essential part of life, health, and functioning. While it can be challenging to prioritize rest, it is crucial for our overall well-being. According to expert numerologists and astrologers, four birth dates stand out as the most likely to require more rest than most. They aren't lazy. Rather, these individuals find more success working smarter, not harder.

The STARZ series is ending before Gabaldon has finished the final book in the Outlander franchise, so how she’s concluding things will not necessarily be how the series ends. In fact, according to what showrunner Matthew B. Roberts told Parade, he filmed more than one possible finale.
“We wrote multiple endings, we filmed a few different things in that sense,” he said in an exclusive Zoom interview. “It was mostly for the scripts, because sometimes scripts get out and we wanted to protect that. If we printed the final script, then everybody would know. But the final cut, only a handful of people have seen it.”
Season 8 of Outlander is primarily based on Gabaldon’s ninth book in series, Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone (2021), and because the author does consult on the series, it is possible that it will also include elements from the unreleased tenth book, A Blessing for a Warrior Going Out.
