Cary Elwes is remembering Rob Reiner on what would have been his 79th birthday.

Elwes, who starred in one of Reiner's most iconic films, The Princess Bride, took to Instagram on Friday, March 6 to honor the late filmmaker, who died in December 2025, three months before his 79th birthday.

Sharing a photo of himself posing with Reiner at a red carpet event, Elwes, 63, wrote in his post, "Today would have been your 79th birthday."

"Still hard to believe you’re gone," Elwes wrote. "Missing you so much #robreiner ⚔️💔"

Elwes' caption also included a broken heart emoji and a crossed swords emoji, an undoubtable reference to 1987's The Princess Bride, in which Elwes starred alongside Robin Wright, Andre the Giant, Mandy Patinkin, Billy Crystaland more notable stars.

The Princess Bride was directed by the prolific filmmaker, who is also known for directing legendary films like When Harry Met Sally, Stand By Me, Misery, A Few Good Men and many, many more.

Reiner was found dead in his Los Angeles home alongside his wife Michele on Dec. 14, 2025 in an apparent homicide by stabbing. Their son, Nick Reiner, was arrested later that evening on suspicion of murder.

Rob Reiner’s Death: Everything We Know So Far

It wasn't until weeks after the Reiners' shocking deaths that Elwes broke his silence to reflect on the bond he shared with the late director, writing in a Dec. 29 Instagram post, "I was 24 when I first met Rob Reiner on The Princess Bride. And from that very first meeting I fell in love with him."

“Thank you Rob and Michele for sharing your life and art with us,” Elwes’ post continued. “Because my heart still aches every time I think of you, I know the grief of losing you too soon will likely never go away. Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you. ⚔️💔”

Alex Guarnaschelli Reveals the Super-Simple Breakfast Upgrade She Learned From a Beloved Co-Star

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 4:05pm

Aside from running her long-standing New York hotspot Butter and appearing frequently across Food Network's programming slate, celebrity chef Alex Guarnaschelli loves to take a moment to give back. So when the folks over at Nutella asked her to participate in their Stacks For Giving Back campaign for a third year in a row, she was happy to oblige.

Stacks for Giving Back is a program that was created to support local fire departments across the country. Through April 30, anyone can nominate their local fire department at NutellaStacksforGivingBack.com for a chance to receive one of the brand's Nutella Pancake Breakfast Kits. These kits are designed to help a fire department make the most of its next pancake breakfast fundraising efforts.

🍳 SIGN UP to get delicious recipes, handy kitchen hacks & fun food news in our daily Pop Kitchen newsletter 🍳

"I love the program," Guarnaschelli tells Parade. "I don't think there's any group of people more worthy of support than first responders. The program is providing what I like to call amplified and delicious tools to enhance one of the fundamental fundraising components that firehouses rely upon, and that's pancake breakfasts."

View this post on Instagram

Fellow celebrity chef Christian Petroni joins Guarnaschelli in promoting Stacks for Giving Back this year. The two are sharing their own cheffy spins on pancakes (using Nutella, of course) that firehouses can add to their repertoire during fundraising breakfasts. Guarnaschelli's recipe is Nutella Cornmeal and Fresh Raspberry Pancakes, while Petroni developed a recipe for Nutella Banana Bread Pancakes.

The Omelet Trick She Learned From a Co-star

Even the best chefs pick up a new technique or two from their colleagues, and one of Guarnaschelli's favorites is something she learned from Chef Geoffrey Zakarian.

"I feel like an omelet is something that you can make 5,000 times and always change or tweak and improve, because it's such a simple thing," she says. "So Geoffrey Zakarian made an omelet—poured the eggs in the pan, a little cheese, kind of scrambled it for a second, and then rolled it up. It was perfect. I was sitting there thinking, 'Oh, he's just gonna put it on the plate, and that's it.' But he grabbed a little tiny bit of butter, and he just ran the butter down the exterior of the omelet."

Guarnaschelli says it became an instantaneous core memory for her because, as simple as it sounds, she had never seen anybody do that, nor had she ever thought to finish an omelet off with butter.

"It made a wild difference to me in the taste and in the feel of it," she admits. "We're all in the business of overthinking things, but it's the simple nuances like that which make all the difference. And I've buttered every omelet since."

Pancake breakfast organizers, take note—aside from your Nutella pancakes, if you add an omelet station, don't forget the butter.

Netflix Just Dropped 5 New Movies, But This Thriller Is the #1 Must-Watch

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 4:00pm

If you're on the lookout for a new movie to watch this month, you've come to the right place! Netflix is home to some of the very best films, TV shows and documentaries around—and this month is no exception.

Five new movies were just added to their lineup. From comedy to horror (and everything in between), there is something here for everyone to enjoy. Here are the five best new movies to stream on Netflix in March, including a psychological thriller that shouldn't be missed!

5. The LEGO Movie (2014)

Product placement meets multiplex entertainment meets art in a witty, meta surprise critical darling that, along with Guardians of the Galaxy the same year, made Chris Prattone of the biggest movie stars in the world. Everything was a little less awesome in the so-so, less streamlined, and belated sequel. But this movie is a true classic!

4. Fifty Shades of Grey (2015)

When you think about "sexy movies," the trilogy of Fifty Shades movies immediately comes to mind. After all, the whole franchise was basically written by E.L. James to be low-key erotica.

The films, starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, follow the couple as they enter into an intense BDSM, sexually explicit romance. If you want a hot watch, this is a great place to start. Just know that the films themselves are basically structured like the fan fiction serial source material; the plots and characters between each sex scene are pretty thin. (But let's be real, you're probably not watching this for cinematic greatness anyway.)

Lionsgate

3. Sicario (2015)

Masterfully tense Denis Villeneuve direction, gorgeous Roger Deakins cinematography and stellar performances from Emily Blunt, Benicio del Toro and Josh Brolin are all part of the alchemy that makes Sicario one of the finest action thrillers of the aughts. Taylor Sheridan wrote the smart, provocative script centered on a young, idealistic FBI agent enlisted by a government task force to aid in the escalating war on drugs at the U.S./Mexico border.

2. Casino (1995)

In addition to some bone-crunching violence and no shortage of true style, Martin Scorsese's 1995 epic crime follow-up to GoodFellas featured the most stunning performance of Sharon Stone's remarkable career. She received a Golden Globe and an Oscar nod.

The movie features an all-star cast, including Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone, James WoodsDon RicklesKevin Pollak and Frank Vincent.

Columbia Pictures

1. Misery (1990)

Topping our list of best Netflix movies in March is the psychological thriller, Misery. After crashing his car during a winter blizzard, a famous writer/novelist named Paul Sheldon (James Caan) is rescued by former nurse, Annie Wilkes (Kathy Bates), who tends to his life-threatening wounds in her cabin. But things take a turn for the worse when Annie's obsession with Paul leads her to kidnap the author, forcing him to write new stories for her against his will.

The Academy doesn’t pay attention to horror movies very much, but Kathy Bates won a Best Actress Oscar for her role in the movie. Nearly 36 years after its release, Rob Reiner‘s Misery is still unbridled, squirmy psychological terror, tough to watch in all the right ways.

'The Office' Star Makes Blunt Confession About Chris Farley

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 3:53pm

Even though Chris Farley passed away almost 30 years ago, his impact is still felt by many successful comedians and actors.

Farley, who was best known for his work as a cast member on Saturday Night Livein the 1990s, suddenly passed away on Dec. 18, 1997, from an accidental drug overdose when he was just 33 years old. He was a member of Second City, an improv comedy troupe based in Chicago, from 1986 to 1990, before joining the cast of SNL.

Steve Carell, who was a guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote his upcoming show Rooster on Wednesday night, started his interview talking about his experiences in Second City and his experience working as Farley's understudy in the early 1990s.

Stephen Colbert revealed that when he was starting out at Second City, he served as Carell’s understudy. Both Colbert and Carell were members of the improv troupe at the same time as Farley. During the conversation, Colbert asked Carell who he had understudied during his time there, and Carell shared that it was Farley.

An understudy is a performer who learns another actor’s role so they can step in if the original performer is unable to appear. Often, understudies are already part of the cast, playing smaller roles or performing in another troupe within the theater.

When Carell revealed who he understudied for, the audience applauded and Colbert exclaimed that he "must've been really hard." Throughout his career, Farley was best known for his over-the-top energy and physical comedy bits.

"He was impossible to understudy," Carell revealed. He then talked about a popular sketch from Saturday Night Live called "Matt Foley: Van Down By The River," which was actually started at Second City. Farley's character in the sketch, named Matt Folley, was a motivational speaker who "lived in a van down by the river." The bit was very popular, and many people would attend Second City shows to specifically watch that scene. Though the cast had performed it multiple times at one point, they would constantly be breaking because of Farley's performance.

"It was so hard because he was a force of nature," Carell said. When he would perform Farley's bits as an understudy, he would get "crickets" and "absolutely nothing" from the audience. "But that just shows what an incredible performer he was."

Recognized as "America's Funniest Man", Carell started his career at The Second City in the early 1990s. Afterward, he became a cast member on The Dana Carvey Show in 1996, then served as a correspondent for The Daily Show from 1999 to 2005. He then started playing Michael Scott in The Office from 2005 to 2012, which became a success after its first two seasons and led the actor to earn six consecutive nominations for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.

During the 2010s, the 63-year-old actor has been branching out of sitcoms and comedy, and taking more dramatic roles in movies such as The Big Short, Beautiful Boy and Battle of the Sexes. More recently, Carell has started his return to television, starring in many shows like The Morning Show, Netflix's Space Force and The Patient. He also reprised his role as Gru in the Despicable Me and Minions franchises and appeared in Wes Anderson's Asteroid City in 2023.

Meanwhile, Farley gained his success at Second City and Saturday Night Live in the 1990s before starring in a string of comedy films such as Airheads, Tommy Boy, Black Sheep, Beverly Hills Ninja and Almost Heroes. He was influenced by original SNL cast member John Belushi, who was also known for his physical performances in comedy, which Farley used to great effect throughout his career. Unfortunately, he struggled with obesity, alcoholism and substance abuse, before overdosing in his apartment in Chicago.

The Late Show with Steven Colbert airs Monday through Thursday on CBS at 11:35 pm ET. Episodes can be watched on demand on Paramount+. Meanwhile, Carell's newest show, Rooster, premieres on HBO Max this Sunday.

Industry Leaders Warn About Delays and Cancellations Ahead of Busy Spring Break Travel Season

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 3:52pm

There has been a lot going on in the news lately, which is why it may have slipped your mind that the U.S. government is currently in the middle of yet another shutdown. And while things don't seem poised to be as bad as the 2025 shutdown was, this latest stint from lawmakers may be especially painful for travelers.

That's because industry experts say that a prolonged shutdown will force many Department of Homeland Security (DHS) employees to find new jobs if they are forced to miss their paychecks, since many employees are currently working without pay as lawmakers struggle to come to an agreement on a funding bill. And that will be really bad news for travelers who will bear the brunt of the government inaction as experts say airline passengers will face longer lines, more delayed flights, and cancellations right as another busy travel season kicks off.

Travel Experts Ask Congress to End Funding Fight

A budgeting impasse has left the DHS without proper funding, putting the future of safe travel up in the air (excuse the pun). And while many working in Washington use funding stalemates as negotiating tools, the effects of a shutdown—even a partial shutdown like the one currently happening—can bleed into everyday life for so many.

Now, the CEO of the U.S. Travel Association is begging Congress to work together to fully fund the DHS before Spring Break and summer travelers have to deal with the consequences. That's because Geoff Freeman says that DHS employees may have no choice but to leave their positions if they have to work without pay for much longer, according to NPR, who notes that DHA is approaching its third week without funding.

"They're showing up. They're doing their job, and they're not getting paid," Geoff Freeman, the CEO of the U.S. Travel Association said during a press conference. "It's not just unfair. It's reckless. You can't run an industry with $3 trillion in economic impact on IOUs."

If DHS Isn't Funded Quickly, Travelers Will Suffer

Todd Hauptli, head of the American Association of Airport Executives told NPR that travelers should brace for things like:

  • Sickouts
  • A loss of qualified screeners
  • Long lines
  • Flight delays
  • End to PreCheck
  • Suspension of Global Entry

"TSA is going to do their very best to try and keep those lines moving, but they're not going to sacrifice safety, Hauptli said. The two men, along with other industry leaders that were gathered to speak at a press conference where they kicked off the "Pay Federal Aviation Workers" warned that all of this was likely going to come to a head just as travelers would be getting ready to head out for Spring Break, creating even more headaches in an industry that has been plagued by government related interference over the past few months.

Related: Travel Chaos Continues as Airspace in the Middle East Remains Closed

The Last Shutdown Saw Massive Travel Delays

It wasn't that long ago that I was covering the last round of travel-related chaos that was caused by the government shutdown. During that time, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) required 40 airports to reduce their total number of flights by 10 percent, cancelling flights and triggering disruptions ahead of the busy holiday travel season.

Now, I can't help but wonder if we'll find ourselves in a similar situation in the coming weeks, as so many people get ready to travel for Spring Break. And, even if the government comes up with a plan for funding DHS, if the agency loses too many of its trained employees, summer travelers could also feel the residual effects of this partial shutdown.

Iconic ’60s Sci-Fi Series ‘Lost in Space’ Ended on This Day in 1968

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 3:49pm

On March 6, 1968, the final episode of a pioneering science-fiction television show aired. Lost in Space only aired for three seasons, but it has remained a series that fans talk about all these decades later.

In fact, one line from the show is still heard from time to time: "Danger, Will Robinson, danger, danger!" People who toss out the iconic line may not even remember its origins, but it's a caution initially doled out by a robot to the young Will Robinson that has stood the test of time.

The original Lost in Space aired from 1965 to 1968, for a total of 84 episodes. The series finale was titled "Junkyard in Space," and the synopsis for the episode teased, "With the Robinsons running out of food, Dr. Smith trades the ship and the Robot to a junk man for food."

Primary cast members of Lost in Space included Guy Williams as Dr. John Robinson, June Lockhart as Maureen Robinson, and Bill Mumy as Will Robinson. Additional standouts included Angela Cartwright, who played Penny Robinson, Marta Kristen as Judy Robinson, Mark Goddard, who played Major Don West, and Jonathan Harris, who portrayed Dr. Zachary Smith.

Kristen told Fox News in November 2021 that she "vividly" remembered learning the show was canceled. "I was at my house and I received a phone call. I learned it was canceled. I was speechless. No one really knew why."

She added, "Later on, we found out that it was possibly Irwin's battle with CBS at the time. He wasn't giving the scripts that CBS demanded." The comment was a reference to Irwin Allen, the creator and one of the writers of Lost in Space.

Kristen also reflected on how the cast felt like family to her. She admitted that revisiting some memories were too emotional for her. Despite that, she praised several of her Lost in Space co-stars.

Harris "taught me the importance of having the utmost respect for everyone on set, cast and crew," Kristen explained. She continued, "And of course, Bill and Angela were just the sweetest."

In addition, she admitted, she thought Goddard was "just hilarious." Kristen revealed, "He makes me laugh until I can't breathe. It's just a wicked sense of humor. I couldn't have asked for a better cast."

On a Facebook post from September 2025 that celebrated the anniversary of the 1965 Lost in Space premiere, fans noted their love for the series has carried on all these years.

"Loved Lost in Space in 1965 and still love it today. Marathon it about once a year," one fan wrote.

Another fan recalled, "I watched this show as a kid and could not wait until the next week to see what happens next!"

This 1970 Hit Turns 56 Today — and It’s One of the Most Famous Songs in Rock History

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 3:47pm

The Beatles' 1970 hit "Let It Be," off the band's final record of the same name, made its debut 56 years ago.

TheBeatles.com reported that "Let It Be" was released as a single on March 6, 1970, two months before the album came out.

Paul McCartney discussed writing the song, which was the 6th track on the Let It Be album, in a 2018 interview with GQ. He explained that he and his bandmates, Ringo Starr, the late John Lennon, and the late George Harrison, had been "overdoing" it in terms of partying in the late 1960s.

"We were just getting crazed and stuff a lot of the time and so I went to bed and wasn't feeling too great inside, in myself," said McCartney in the interview.

He recalled having a dream where his late mother, Mary Patricia McCartney, gave him much-needed reassurance.

"My mother came to me in the dream and she died maybe 10 years previously," said the famed musician. "And so when someone who you've lost comes back to you in a dream, it's a miraculous moment. Because you're with them and your mind doesn't say, 'Wait a minute you shouldn't be here.' You're just with them."

He said that his mother "seemed to realize that [he] was going through struggles," and told him that everything was "going to be okay."

"She said, 'Just let it be,'" said McCartney.

He said that he immediately felt better about his situation and was inspired to write the song upon waking.

McCartney also said he believes that the song has remained so beloved because of its emotional lyrics.

"I sat down at the piano and wrote the song it had a lot of emotion because of who'd said it, and my situation so that kind of translated to the record and I think that's why a lot of people like it they feel, somehow, that kind of magic comes through," said McCartney in the interview.

McCartney, now 83, also explained why he wrote the song on the piano, as opposed to on the guitar.

"Sometimes you just sit down at a piano and sometimes there isn't a piano, so you play the guitar," said the Wings singer. "It's not like a formula. It's just what you fancy at the time and that particular song there was a piano in my room, so I just sort of wrote it on the piano. And it still is a piano song when I do it live."

Jamie Lee Curtis on Turning 60: 'I Have No Time to Waste on Toxic People'

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 3:44pm

Oscar-winning actressJamie Lee Curtisopened up about what she learned after turning 60.

In a Friday, March 6 interview with AARP, Curtis spoke about aging in an industry she once referred to as, "ageist, misogynist and pigeonholing."

"I turned 60 and realized I was going to die sooner than later," Curtis told AARP. "Sooner than later means sooner than later. And that understanding meant I have no effing time to waste. No time to waste on toxic people, on relationships that don't serve me."

She then spoke to observing what her parents, Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, experienced in the entertainment industry.

"I've been self-retiring since I was 30, saying, 'I'll get out of this,' because the industry I'm in is a cruel, cruel industry, particularly with aging. There's a dismissal of people. I watched it very much with my parents. So I have just decided to embrace that."

The actress then shared what embracing freedom in aging means to her and how she approaches acting.

"[Freedom means] accepting my crepey skin and showing it anyway," Curtis expressed. "That's freedom. I understand what I look like. I look in the mirror. I get it. And there's no need for me to alter it."

She added, "Everything I do has to come from emotion. And to me, emotion is freedom. I feel people. That has been a gift for me as an actor because all acting is emotion with words."

Jif Debuts New Reese's Copycat With Their New Peanut Butter-Filled Easter Eggs

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 3:44pm

Easter is only a few short weeks away, and most candy companies are unsurprisingly getting ahead of the coming holiday festivities.

In addition to returning fan-favorite products from Cadbury, Hershey and more, the iconic peanut butter brand Jif is releasing quite possibly their most inventive candy yet in the form of their new Jif-Filled Egg.

A milk chocolate shaped-egg filled with Jif's famously smooth peanut butter, one can almost describe Jif's latest product innovation as their long-awaited answer to a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.

As exciting as the the new candy might sound, it's worth nothing that the Jif-Filled Eggs are exclusively offered through the Easter season, making them something of a hot commodity as we head into the new month.

If early fan reception is any indication too, the new Jif-themed product is practically guaranteed to fly off shelves, with most online shoppers voicing their excitement about the brand-new candy's debut.

"Omg," one stunned fan wrote on Instagram.

"Oh man, knowing that Reese's just don't taste the same, these got me really curious," another user said.

"No way!" added a third, complete with a heart-eyed emoji.

Of course, the new Jif-Filled Eggs aren't the only new product the company is adding to shelves this Easter season. In addition to the new egg treats, Jif has also unveiled a new peanut butter-filled bunny (filled with rich and creamy peanut butter) of course for Easter.

Several eagle-eyed shoppers have also reported seeing new Peanut Butter-flavored Jif Sprinkles as well as Peanut Butter and Chocolate-flavored Jif Sprinkles in stores too. In addition, Jif has also unveiled a new Crunchy Peanut Butter & Chocolate-Flavored Spread with 50% less sugar.

While the bunny and egg-shaped chocolates are likely to only be around for Easter, it's not currently known whether the sprinkles and new peanut butter spread will be a permanent offering from the iconic peanut butter brand.

Ben Stiller Calls Out the White House For Using Clips From One of His Movies

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 3:38pm

Ben Stiller isn't interested in being featured on the White House social media pages.

The actor and comedian directly called out Donald Trump's administration in response to a new video posted by the White House to X on Thursday night, which used clips from several war and action films to seemingly promote U.S. military actions against other nations.

The video—which the White House captioned, "JUSTICE THE AMERICAN WAY"—featured a clip from Stiller's own comedy war film, Tropic Thunder, which he directed and starred in back in 2008.

"Hey White House, please remove the Tropic Thunder clip," Stiller, 60, replied in a tweet on Friday. "We never gave you permission and have no interest in being a part of your propaganda machine."

"War is not a movie," he added.

— Ben Stiller (@BenStiller) March 6, 2026

In addition to the Tropic Thunder clip, the White House's video also incorporated scenes from Iron Man, Gladiator, Braveheart,Top Gun, Superman, Transformers, Breaking Bad, Deadpool and more.

The video also takes quotes from several of characters in the various scenes, including a clip of Mel Gibson's character saying, "What will you do without freedom?" in the Braveheart clip, and a shot of Christopher Reeve's Superman saying, "I'm here to fight for truth, and justice and the American way."

There's also a clip of Bob Odenkirk's Better Caul Saul character yelling out, "You can't conceive of what I'm capable of."

The clips, all taken out of their original context, were put together and cut with scenes of what appear to be U.S. military operations.

As of publication time, the clip from Tropic Thunder is still included in the video, despite Stiller's request to have it removed.

Wright, a new attending plastic surgeon at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, attended Harvard Medical School with Dr. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone). Although Amelia thought that Wright hated her, it turned out she had a crush on her instead.

In the March 5 episode of Grey's Anatomy, the two surgeons hooked up after professing their mutual attraction.

Although many viewers might have recognized Jennifer from Yellowstone, some might not have made the connection to the late Michael Landon, who died in 1991 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Landon played Charles "Pa" Ingalls in LHOTP, which aired for nine seasons from 1974 to 1983.

In addition to Jennifer, Charles was a biological father to five children and three adopted kids. Michael adopted Mark, his first wife Dodie Levy-Fraser's biological son. Plus, he and Dodie adopted a son, Josh, together when he was an infant.

Michael also shared five children with his second wife, Marjorie Lynn Noe. He adopted her child, Cheryl, and then welcomed four biological kids—Leslie, Michael Jr., Shawna and Christopher—together.

Finally, he welcomed two kids, Jennifer and Sean, with his third wife, Cindy Landon.

Tayshia Adams Thinks This Small Swap Is the Best Way to Upgrade a Room

Adams recently spoke with E! about a few of her favorite design choices, including her favorite small upgrade that can totally transform a space.

"The easy answer is to incorporate throw pillows, but I love taking a small design risk by upgrading hardware," she told E!, when asked about her favorite "small design risk."

"Swapping out cabinet pulls or knobs in a different finish like aged brass or matte black," she added, "can instantly refresh a room and make it feel more intentional."

And in honor of Bachelor Mansion Takeover's premiere episode, which focused on Italian-inspired rooms, Adams also shared her favorite furniture item for bringing Mediterranean vibes into your home.

"I’d bring in a travertine coffee table," she told the website. "Natural stone has that warm, organic texture that instantly evokes a Tuscan feel, and it layers beautifully with natural woods and linen without overwhelming the space!"

But when it comes to big-ticket home upgrades, Adams is a huge fan of installing custom millwork (aka woodwork) in a home kitchen, such as wood cabinets, trims, wall paneling and more.

"The kitchen is the heart of the home and it’s where everyone naturally gathers," Adams explained. "When the cabinetry is beautifully designed, it becomes such a wow factor and instantly makes the entire space feel elevated and intentional."

Timothée Chalamet Receives Backlash From the Opera and Ballet Community After Viral Comment

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 3:20pm

Believe it or not, butTimothée Chalamet knew he was going to get some heat after his comment about opera and ballet during a conversation with Matthew McConaughey. It ended up getting the attention of major opera houses and stars who gave their two cents on the matter.

Chalamet's live conversation with Interstellarco-star McConaughey for Variety has led to a few viral moments, but his comment calling out opera and ballet as insignificant didn't sit well. The two actors discussed audience attention spans and how hard the industry has to work to get people's attention to watch a film and keep things alive.

He expressed being in the middle when it comes to quick films versus long intense ones, stating "I admire people, and I’ve done it myself, who go on a talk show and say, ‘Hey, we’ve got to keep movie theaters alive, we’ve gotta keep this genre alive,’ and another part of me feels like if people want to see it, like Barbie, like Oppenheimer, they’re going to go see it and go out of their way to be loud and proud about it."

It's Chalamet's next comment that has caused a stir online, with him saying, "I don’t want to be working in ballet or opera where it’s like, ‘Hey! Keep this thing alive, even though no one cares about this anymore.' All respect to the ballet and opera people out there … I just lost 14 cents in viewership. I’m taking shots for no reason."

The Royal Ballet and Opera had a response for the actor that they shared in a statement with The Hollywood Reporter. They explained that ballet and opera never "existed in isolation" and have worked to inspire and elevate other art forms.

"Their influence can be felt across theatre, film, contemporary music, fashion, and beyond. For centuries, these disciplines have shaped the way artists create, and audiences experience culture, and today millions of people around the world continue to enjoy and engage with them," they added.

Grammy-winning American opera singer Isabel Leonard said she was shocked over the actor's comments, and how Chalamet, who is "so seemingly successful, can be so ineloquent and narrow-minded in his views about art." Especially when being an actor is considered an art form, she adds.

Leonard was not alone in her statement, with Irish opera singer Seán Teste calling opera and ballet a "living" art form that is constantly "reinterpreted" and "constantly evolving." He even goes on to say that it has survived wars, and "to call these art forms irrelevant says far less about the art itself than it does about how little time someone has spent truly experiencing it."

Chalamet has yet to publicly comment on the statements made by the Royal Ballet and Opera, and others.

Technically speaking, virtually any product with the name Little Debbie attached to it is probably worth trying. Such is especially the case when it's a rich and creamy peanut butter form, as happens to be the case with Little Debbie's new collaboration with the fan-favorite nut butter treats, Nerdy Nuts.

According to a recent post on Instagram from the latter company, Nerdy Nuts is officially teaming up with Little Debbie to deliver three brand-new products consumers won't want to miss.

These new treats offer a dreamy twist on some of Little Debbie's most classic snack cakes, all delivered via Nerdy Nuts' signature nut butter format. This new collab specifically includes the following Nerdy Nuts flavors:

According to Nerdy Nuts' official website, each of the above-mentioned jars of peanut butter are listed at $13.99 for a 16-oz container. Shoppers can get their hands on the new jars of peanut butter online through Nerdy Nuts' retail website.

As expected from a collaboration as utterly delicious-sounding as this, the response to Nerdy Nuts' new partnership with Little Debbie has been unwaveringly positive, with many shoppers voicing their support for the new collab across social media.

"I need 20," one fan bluntly said on Instagram.

"Can I be the first taste tester?" another user humorously offered.

"There was not a day of my childhood that did not have a Little Debbie in it," a third user nostalgically remembered.

Team USA's Amber Glenn Explains Why She Won't Be at The White House

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 2:51pm

Olympic figure skater Amber Glenn explained why she declined President Donald Trump's invitation.

The gold medalist spoke exclusively with Us Weekly at the GLAAD Media Awards on Thursday, March 5, about fellow athletes choosing not to visit The White House.

"I'm electing not to either, so I do not blame them whatsoever," she said. “It is our right to be able to choose what we do and don’t endorse, and I think it is a decision that each individual has the right to make."

Most notably, the Team USA women's hockey team declined Trump's invitation following their gold medal win. This came after a controversy surrounding a locker room video of the men's team that showed President Trump on the phone mocking the women's team. However, USA Hockey released a statement saying the women's team declined the invitation due to "timing and previously scheduled academic and professional commitments."

Glenn also spoke with Us Weekly about being an openly LGBTQ+ professional athlete and how she deals with backlash for being an advocate for her community.

"There’s been so much more love, and the amount of support and encouragement that I’ve received outweighs the hate immensely," Glenn said. "I know how much more important it is to have this visibility to young athletes than it is to these people that are being crabby and are hateful of empathy and kindness. What they have to say doesn’t matter."

During the ceremony, Glenn presented the award for Outstanding New TV Series to Heated Rivalry and praised GLAAD for their mission as an organization.

"It is such a great organization, and it’s all about queer visibility in different media, and that’s what I’m all about: having that visibility in sports, especially in figure skating," she said. "So to have them supporting me and to be able to support them back, is such a great opportunity."

Canceled Food Network Show 'The Kitchen' Is Coming Back, but There’s a Catch

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 2:50pm

Food Network fans who were left disappointed over the cancellation of the long-running series The Kitchen now have a reason to celebrate. The show is returning, although sadly, it is just for one new, special episode.

Jeff Mauro and Geoffrey Zakarian joined their co-star from The Kitchen, Katie Lee Biegel, for the March 5 episode of her podcast, All on the Table. As the trio chatted and talked about all being in New York,, Biegel questioned, "Are we allowed to talk about what we're doing this week?"

Mauro revealed that they reason they were together in New York was to film a special episode of The Kitchen. There were jokes about Food Network potentially canceling them again, but the good news is that fans have an opportunity to watch one more episode, freshly filmed, that will air sometime soon.

View this post on Instagram

As Deadline noted, The Kitchen wrapped it's 12-year run in December 2025. Zakarian noted that he has still been watching episodes air on Food Network on Saturday mornings, and he referenced the network putting together "repacks" for fans to watch.

Mauro explained that the repacks are reruns that are "reconfigured" and freshened up with a "hosting" component added into it. The hosting portion of the repacks have already been taped, as Zakarian noted he filmed six different ones. In addition, Zakarian noted, Alex Guarnaschelli did six, as well.

Zakarian suggested that if the Food Network is running 12 weeks of these repacks of The Kitchen, that gives the network "12 more weeks to realize what a mistake they've made."

Biegel added, "They DID make a mistake" and Zakarian agreed, "Huge mistake."

At that point, Mauro boldly stated, "I'm not afraid to say that out loud."

Mauro explained that the reason he feels he's justified in openly stating that Food Network made a mistake in canceling The Kitchen is due to the reaction they've received from fans.

He shared that whenever he's in public, the first thing he gets from anyone who recognizes him is the question of "What happened?" Many fans have told him that it was their "thing," to tune into Food Network every Saturday morning to watch The Kitchen.

Mauro suggested that canceling The Kitchen, a show that had become such a staple in so many people's routines, was "Like canceling Jeopardy. You know, nobody does that. It was appointment television in a world where...there's no more appointment television."

Biegel suggested that the cancellation came as a result of a "perfect storm of things that were out of our control." She mentioned the Warner Bros. Discovery sale and some ending contracts played a role in the cancellation. She added, "It wasn't about ratings or about what fans wanted."

She also admitted, "I didn't know that people were so passionate about [the show]. It felt so good to know that we connected with people and became part of their Saturday morning."

While the trio joked about Food Network having some time yet to realize they made a mistake in canceling The Kitchen, Mauro suggested they know better than to hope for that.

He shared, "Can it ride again? Is there some, like, semblance of hope, you know? No. But, the fact that we're doing one more kind of special episode..."

Zakarian and Biegel did "spill the beans" just a bit further by revealing that they flew to Qatar to film for the upcoming special episode. Zakarian thought it was such a special occassion that he had a seersucker suit custom made for the trip.

The comment section of the Instagram post Biegel shared of her chat with Mauro and Zakarian was flooded with notes from fans who miss The Kitchen.

One comment read, "I'd love to know why they canceled The KITCHEN. Love that show, it is one of the absolute best!!!"

Another wrote, "I loved watching the kitchen every weekend. Y'all were a staple in my home for years and years. So sad when I saw the news that the show was ending!"

Food Network may only be bringing The Kitchen back for one more new episode, but fans have made it clear they're eager to tune in. Biegel suggested that it may be airing sometime in March, but a specific date has not yet been revealed.

Jane Seymour Stuns in Rare Reunion With ‘Dr. Quinn’ Co-Star at Special Celebration

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 2:45pm

Jane Seymour had fans feeling nostalgic after she shared a photo of herself with her former Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman co-star, William Shockley, at her 75th birthday celebration.

The actress shared the sweet photo on Instagram on March 6, writing, "Look who wandered back into Colorado Springs… I mean Malibu! 😉 Hank and Dr. Mike together again. 💗 @williamshockley #drquinn."

In the photo, Seymour posed on a deck outside someone's house with one hand on her hip. She smiled brightly as she wrapped her other arm around Shockley, who grinned at the camera. Seymour looked lovely in a bright red fitted dress with long sleeves, while Shockley wore a patterned button-up shirt, a denim jacket, and jeans.

Check out the nostalgic reunion photo here.

Shockley still rocked the long hair that his character in Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman had, although it's much lighter in color now.

Seymour starred in Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman between 1993 and 1998 as Dr. Michaela "Mike" Quinn, a female physician who moves to Colorado Springs, Colo., in the late 1800s, after the Civil War, to set up a medical practice.

After moving to the lively town, she meets an array of interesting characters, including Shockley's Hank Lawson. He owns the town's saloon, which also serves as a brothel. Along with Seymour and Shockley, the hit TV series also starred Joe Lando, Chad Allen, Jonelle Allen, and more.

Shockley almost starred in a spinoff series called California, which would've focused on his character moving to California and starting anew. While a pilot was filmed, it wasn't picked up to series.

Others commented, "beautiful reunion," "It's always nice to see them together," and "Love this beautiful picture of you guys."

Someone else said, "I couldn’t help smiling seeing you together. 'Dr. Quinn' holds so many beautiful memories! This photo instantly takes me back to Colorado Springs."
