Sat, 03/07/2026 - 6:38am

The name Taylor Sheridan has commanded some A-list talent to the shows he's created or is attached to. For series television, it started off with Kevin Costner and Yellowstone, then Tim McGraw and Faith Hill in 1883, then Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren in 1923. Next came Jeremy Renner in Mayor of Kingstown and then Sylvester Stallone in Tulsa King in his first ever television series role. Now, Samuel Jackson will lead a Tulsa King spinoff series, Frisco King.

"Taylor Sheridan continues to build worlds that attract some of the most iconic talent working today, and Frisco King is no exception,” said Jane Wiseman, Head of Originals at Paramount+. “Having Samuel L. Jackson step into this universe is a testament to the scale and ambition of the storytelling Taylor is crafting. "

Nancy Guthrie Case: Expert Says TMZ Ransom Notes Likely Not From Abductor (Exclusive)

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 6:33am

A retired SWAT commander who spent decades working high-risk operations in Arizona believes the ransom notes sent to TMZ in the Nancy Guthrie case were likely not from the person who abducted her.

Bob Krygier, a former commander with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team, tells Parade that genuine suspects usually provide proof of life, such as photos or videos, to secure payment—something that was missing from the initial messages. Still, Krygier emphasized that investigators should pursue every lead, noting that even notes sent by someone on the periphery could provide valuable evidence in solving the case.

Guthrie, 84, has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1. She was dropped off at her home in the Catalina Foothills of Arizona around 9:45 p.m. local time by her son-in-law Tommaso Cioni on Saturday night. Authorities believe that Guthrie may have been abducted from her home in the middle of the night.

In the weeks that followed, a number of unverified ransom notes were sent to local and national news stations, including TMZ.

Krygier explains that even if the ransom notes weren’t from the actual abductor, they could still offer investigators important clues. "Any specific lead in a case like this, you have to look at it until you’ve exhausted it," he tells Parade. "You don’t want to overlook anything and end up missing the bit of information that could have helped solve the case." He added that the notes could have come from someone who had knowledge of the incident or was trying to exploit it, making them another piece of evidence worth investigating.

What is 'Miss Scarlet' about?

Miss Scarlet follows the headstrong Miss Scarlet (Phillips), who sets off to be the first female private detective when she decides to take over her father’s business after he unexpectedly dies. To find cases and clients, she snoops on the cases her childhood friend, William “The Duke” Wellington (Stuart Martin), a police detective, is working on.

Why is William called 'The Duke'?

William’s co-workers at Scotland Yard nicknamed him “The Duke” because of his last name, Wellington—as in the Duke of Wellington.

Why did The Duke not return?

It’s unclear if the decision to have Miss Scarlet go it alone was a creative one or a business one. Both stars and the series creator have offered veiled comments on the show’s new direction after Martin exited the series after Season 4.

Stuart Martin—who plays The Duke—says, “It has been such an incredible joy to bring Duke to life through Rachael’s beautiful, brilliant writing, and to get to play him for the past four years. But it felt like the time was right for Scarlet to explore new stories and challenges for now, as the show continues to grow and evolve. I will miss working with my amazing partner in crime Kate and the rest of our brilliant family and team, but I’m excited to continue following Eliza and her escapades as a huge fan and newly enrolled Scarleteer!”

What will happen in Season 7 of 'Miss Scarlet'?

In Miss Scarlet Season 7, the final season, Eliza Scarlet has found love, but with it comes a new set of challenges, both on a professional and personal level. As she faces mounting pressures both at work and at home, she is reunited with familiar friendly faces, as well as a powerful new crime boss who has arrived in town—and it’s not who you might expect.

Meanwhile, Blake’s promotion brings its own complications, as he finds himself answering to a surprising new boss with whom he shares a complicated history. Season 7 raises the stakes, deepens the drama, and brings Eliza and Blake’s journey to a thrilling and satisfying close.

Eliza is a smart, determined, independent woman. Upon her father’s death, her choices in life (in that era) are either to get married or find a way to support herself. She chooses the latter. Phillips has appeared in The Crown, Wolf Hall and Peaky Blinders.

Tom Durant-Pritchard as Detective Inspector Alexander Blake Tom Durant-Pritchard as Detective Inspector Alexander Blake

Durant-Pritchard joined the cast in Season 5 as Detective Inspector Blake, a new face at Scotland Yard. A former soldier, the new detective inspector fills the position vacated by the Duke after he leaves for America. He isn’t liked by Detective Phelps, who had hoped to be promoted to the position after The Duke left. Eliza has high hopes she’ll get more cases from Blake as he doesn’t seem put off by a female private investigator. But they get off to a rocky start when Blake decides not to use any private investigators on his cases. By the beginning of Season 6, the two were definitely down the path of romance.

Cathy Belton as Ivy Cathy Belton as Ivy

Ivy is Eliza’s housekeeper and essentially her substitute mother. She doles out advice whenever Eliza seeks it and tries to teach her to cook and sew (to no avail). In Season 5, she found a job at Scotland Yard as an office manager. And by season’s end, she finally wed Mr. Potts. The Irish Belton has mainly worked in the UK and Europe. Aldi's Line of 'Elevated' Cheesecakes Features This Luscious Italian Ingredient

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 6:15am

There's absolutely nothing wrong with a classic, traditional cheesecake—its creamy texture, buttery crust and simple, sweet flavor have earned it a permanent spot in dessert lovers' hearts. But part of the fun in the world of sweets is exploring new, elevated versions that bring a twist to the familiar.

Aldi continues to explore that idea with its specialty cheesecake, transforming the dessert from an everyday indulgence into something a little more luxuriousfeaturing mascarpone cheese in two fan-favorite flavors. These cheesecakes have been found on supermarket shelves in the past, and fans have been begging for them to return.

Both varieties of its Specialty Selected Mascarpone Cheesecake will be back on store shelves as part of this week's limited‑time Aldi Finds, standing out as a premium dessert option among the grocery chain's rotating products. Both vanilla bean and mocha versions come in 28 -ounce packages with the iconic graham cracker crust we all know and love.

Specially Selected Mocha Mascarpone Cheesecake, $10.99 at Aldi

Aldi

The mascarpone filling gives these cheesecakes a distinctive texture and flavor compared to the traditional style. Mascarpone is an Italian‑style cream cheese that's richer and more buttery than standard cream cheese, lending an extra level of decadence to the dessert.

That richness pairs beautifully with both simple vanilla and more robust mocha, allowing each flavor to shine without overwhelming sweetness. The vanilla bean version highlights rich, aromatic vanilla layered with smooth mascarpone cheese, while the mocha version brings a hint of coffee- and chocolate-inspired depth to the creamy profile.

Each cheesecake is designed to serve about six people, making them ideal for sharing at gatherings or enjoying over a few nights. While the product is frozen in the store, Aldi recommends thawing it before serving to let the layers soften and fully develop their creamy character.

Past reactions from shoppers suggest these cheesecakes have become a seasonal favorite, with many fans already planning to pick up both flavors before they sell out. "That cheesecake is my fav!!!!" exclaimed one person. "Haven't seen them at my store but I hope you get one! I've learned that if you see something you want at Aldi, just get it. Going back and getting it later doesn't always work," cried another shopper. "We all thought it was good!" commented a fan.

Whether you're hosting a springtime dinner or just craving a rich dessert with a twist, these mascarpone cheesecakes offer approachable gourmet flair at a price that keeps shoppers coming back. Trying these variations doesn't replace the traditional favorite, it simply offers a fresh way to experience a beloved dessert, making dessert time a little more adventurous and exciting.

‘Gilmore Girls’ Star Addresses ‘Talk’ of a Christmas Special

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 5:32am

Lauren Graham confirmed there’s ongoing chatter about a potential Gilmore Girls special. In a March 2026 interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actress, who played Lorelei Gilmore on the beloved comedy-drama series from 2000 to 2007 and in a four-part 2016 revival, admitted there is always “talk” about a sequel project.

“There’s talk about it, there’s always talk,” Graham, 58, replied when asked specifically if a Christmas movie was in the works. “I don’t want to fuel any flames, but there’s always talk.”

Graham first pitched the idea of a holiday special or movie last year as Gilmore Girls celebrated its 25th anniversary. She told The Hollywood Reporter in October that she was “always open” to reprising Lorelai. “There’s no reason why I wouldn’t be,” she said. “I’ve always said a Christmas movie seems like a way to revisit the characters. That wouldn’t have to be a full series, and I think would make sense for dressing up the town and having a holiday-themed gathering. So that’s what I’ve been saying, but I’m not in charge.”

A ‘Gilmore Girls’ Book is in the works

One project that is in the works is a Gilmore Girls book, co-authored by Graham and series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino. The book will take fans behind the scenes of the series, and it is expected to have a fall 2027 release, per People magazine.

Graham told ET that being “in dialogue” with Sherman-Palladino has been helpful as she rewatches the series for the book. “[It] helps me remember a lot,” she shared. “My brain was so full of lines [back] then. A lot of it is a blur, so it’s been really interesting because there’s been a lot of questions I never asked her about what was going on in any given season, and how I got there. So I hope there will be a lot of new information for fans.”

“She’s really busy, so it’s been a little bit of slow going,” Graham added of her project with the Gilmore Girls showrunner.

In a second interview with Extra, Graham said she felt “honored" to work on the book with her former boss.

“I think it'll be a story about Gilmore Girls, but also to me it's a story of friendship, and it's a story of kind of these two people, you know, we met at a certain place, and now we're friends and colleagues still many years later,” she shared. “I would argue closer friends. So, that's some of what it will be.”

The Gilmore Girls star noted that Sherman-Palladino needed to finish up other projects so they could really dig into their book collaboration. “She's got to stop working and directing movies, though, because she's so busy,” Graham said. “But we'll get it. We'll get it done.”

2024 Cast Member Ranked Biggest Villain in ‘Love is Blind’ History

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 5:14am

A controversial cast member from Love Is Blind Season 6 is once again at the center of debate after being labeled the biggest villain in the reality dating series’ history.

According to a ranking by entertainment outlet Collider, Jeramey Lutinski earned the No. 1 spot on the list of the show’s most notorious villains. The ranking looked at contestants who actually got engaged during the experiment and whose behavior left a strong negative impression on viewers.

The Netflix reality series, created by Chris Coelen, first premiered in 2020 and quickly became one of the streaming platform’s biggest relationship experiments. The concept is simple but unusual: singles date inside “pods” without seeing each other and must decide whether to get engaged before meeting face-to-face.

While the show has produced beloved couples like Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton, it has also created a long list of polarizing contestants. In Lutinski’s case, viewers say his storyline delivered some of the most dramatic moments the series has seen.

Jeramey Lutinski’s Season 6 Drama Sparks Villain Label

During Season 6 of Love Is Blind, Lutinski initially seemed like a normal participant searching for love. Inside the pods, he formed connections with two women: Laura Dadisman and Sarah Ann Bick.

Ultimately, he proposed to Dadisman, and the couple moved forward in the experiment. At first, their relationship appeared stable enough to continue toward the altar.

However, things quickly unraveled during the real-world phase of the show. One night, Lutinski stayed out until about 5 a.m., which sparked tension when Dadisman questioned where he had been. The situation escalated when it became clear he had spent time with Bick, his previous pod connection.

Lutinski initially said they had simply run into each other at a bar and talked in the parking lot. But the story fell apart when Dadisman checked his location and discovered he had actually been near Bick’s home earlier that morning.

For many viewers, that moment became a turning point in the season. Fans watching the argument unfold saw it as a mix of dishonesty and betrayal, especially since Lutinski was engaged at the time.

The relationship between Lutinski and Dadisman soon collapsed before the wedding ceremony even took place.

The drama didn’t end when filming wrapped. After the season aired, Lutinski and Bick reconnected in real life and began dating. The pair later confirmed their relationship during the Season 6 reunion in March 2024, revealing that they had continued seeing each other after the show.

Their romance lasted roughly a year, and the couple even moved in together during that time. However, the relationship eventually ended in 2024.

Since then, Lutinski has kept a lower profile. He currently lives in Charlotte and works in sales management for a construction company.

View this post on Instagram

Despite the controversies, the show remains hugely popular. New seasons continue to spark online discussions, with fans closely watching each relationship to see who will find lasting love and who might become the next reality TV villain.

In the end, Lutinski’s ranking shows just how memorable those dramatic moments can be, even years after they first aired.

JetBlue Just Launched New $69 Flights to One of Florida's Most Beautiful Beach Towns

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 5:10am

If your ears perked up when Taylor Swiftsang about a "timeshare down in Destin" on her The Tortured Poets Department album, you aren’t alone. The Florida Panhandle's "Emerald Coast" has been having a massive pop-culture moment, and now, getting there is becoming significantly cheaper and easier for those in the Northeast.

On March 5, JetBlueofficially took flight with its first-ever nonstop service to Destin-Fort Walton Beach (VPS) from both New York (JFK) and Boston (BOS). To celebrate the launch, the airline is offering introductory one-way fares starting at just $69, a price point that makes a spontaneous beach getaway feel a lot more realistic than a long-term timeshare investment.

Related: JetBlue Launched $79 Spring Flights—How to Book Before the Sale Ends

The Move Toward "Casual Florida"

This launch isn’t just a one-off route; it’s part of a much larger strategy JetBlue has been leaning into over the last few years. While major hubs like Orlando and Fort Lauderdale have always been staples, the airline has shifted its focus toward Florida's more "casual" coastal towns. Destin marks JetBlue’s 11th destination in the Sunshine State, following similar expansions into spots like Vero Beach and Tallahassee.

By targeting these underserved markets, JetBlue is positioning itself as the go-to carrier for travelers who want a "sun and sand" escape without the high-stress environment (and high prices) of the major theme park regions. It’s part of a broader "JetForward" initiative to dominate leisure travel along the East Coast, connecting freezing Northern cities to the South's most laid-back shores.

Related: JetBlue Jumps on Florida's Travel Moment With New $49 Flights

Why Destin is the Ultimate "Shoes-Off" Destination

So, what is it about Destin that earned it a shout-out from the world's biggest pop star? Unlike the glitz of Miami or the structured vacation feel of Central Florida, Destin is famous for its "sugar-white" sand—made of Appalachian quartz—and the striking emerald-green water that gives the coast its name.

It’s a destination built for relaxing. One of the most iconic experiences is spending a day at Crab Island, a massive underwater sandbar where boats anchor and vendors wade through waist-deep water to sell everything from ice cream to burgers. It’s the ultimate "no-filter-needed" spot that feels a world away from the crowded boardwalks of the Atlantic coast.

Whether you're looking for world-class fishing, dockside dining at local favorites like Boshamps, or just want to walk the 24 miles of pristine coastline, the Emerald Coast offers a refreshingly unpretentious vibe. With JetBlue now flying in five days a week, that "Florida!!!" escape is officially just a few hours—and $69—away.

Trader Joe’s has been my go-to for just about everything since my college days living in Beacon Hill, Mass.—and I’m not alone. Devoted customers rush there to shop delightful seasonal finds, cult-favorite tote bags, beautiful, budget-friendly florals, fresh produce, and beloved items like TJ’s creamy Speculoos Cookie Butter. Whether you’re shopping for the best frozen apps to serve at a cocktail party, a cozy weeknight meal, or staples to create the dreamiest brunch spread imaginable, Trader Joe’s never disappoints.

Now that I’m in my early 30s, I’ve entered my hosting era and love entertaining friends and family for brunch. There’s something magical about spending Saturday or Sunday morning at my house—the sunlight pours into the kitchen and nothing feels rushed. I usually set up a coffee and tea station with pedestals of baked goods on my buffet. An aesthetically pleasing tablescape sets the tone with pretty table linens and serving pieces. After all, it’s the small details that make guests feel special. While I may fuss over the prep work, the menu is the easiest part. I always turn to Trader Joe’s, and I’ll tell you why.

It can be challenging to find special, unique items at major grocery store chains. But at Trader Joe’s, I know I can count on standout items for brunch—from whimsical flowers for the perfect centerpiece to bagels, scrumptious spreads, quiches, and more. I can even pick up a pretty soap for the guest bathroom and chic bottled waters to add to my table spread.

TJ’s is truly my one-stop-shop to achieve a brunch spread that looks like I spent hours preparing—but the secret is, it didn’t! These are some of my all-time favorite brunch finds. Choose what works best for you and your crew—there are plenty of options.

My Tips for Finding Trader Joe's Brunch Picks

Alexa Mellardo

In order to make your shopping trip as seamless as possible, create a list in advance so you know exactly what—and how much—you’ll need. Begin by asking yourself some basic questions: How many guests are you hosting? Does anyone have dietary restrictions? Does your brunch have a specific theme that will impact the menu in any way? Also consider the time of your invitation—will guests expect lighter fare or a heavier menu?

The quantity and variety of items you purchase entirely depends on your crowd’s size and preferences. I personally make sure there’s at least one chocolate croissant per person and enough juice for everyone to sip at least two glasses.

Keep in mind that timing makes all the difference when shopping at TJ's. I rarely head to the store on weekends and anytime after 3 p.m. to avoid the crowds. In my experience, first thing in the morning when the store opens tends to be best for an all-around enjoyable shopping experience.

How to Build the Best Trader Joe's Brunch

Alexa Mellardo

There are many steps that fall within the “don’t put off till tomorrow what you can do today" category. This is what I do the day or night before:

  • Put out cutting boards, platters, and serving utensils for every item.
  • Set the table or buffet with the runner, florals, plates, silverware, and napkins.
  • Transfer pasta salads to serving bowls, wrap tightly with plastic wrap, and place them in the fridge.
  • Boil eggs. Once cooled, place them in the fridge.
  • If making an egg or French toast bake, prep it the night before and place it in the fridge.
  • Organize the coffee bar with cups, spooks, milk pitcher, etc.
  • Be sure to have plenty of ice on hand for your bucket of coffee milks and/or creamers.

Before guests arrive:

  • Wash and slice berries, along with the cotton candy grapes. Strain well, and put in a bowl. (I personally love using a small trifle bowl!)
  • If serving an egg or French toast bake, it should be baked and timed accordingly with the arrival of guests.
  • This also goes for any frozen items you may have purchased and want to serve warm, like TJ’s Greek Spiral, Cheese Blintzes, Quiche Lorraine, and/or Spicy Spuds. Read instructions in advance to ensure you’re prepared.
  • Arrange yogurt and toppings on a lazy Susan.
  • Cook the bacon so it’s ready and can be warmed lightly just before you add it to your buffet.
  • Slice the bagels and add the cream cheese and lox to your board.
  • Place the assortment of croissants and pastries on a platter.
  • Prepare the cheese board.
  • Perk the coffee for your coffee bar setup and organize the creamers in an ice bucket.
  • Drinks should be ready to pour when guests arrive.

4 Core Personality Traits of People Born on the 14th, Per Numerology

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 4:34am

Did you know that your birth date is special? All birth dates correspond with one to three numbers in numerology. This means that if you were born on the 14th, you personify three numbers—1, 4, and 5. Each number has strengths and talents that complement the other numbers, making the 14th a multifaceted birth date. You can thank your birth date for your endless curiosity, commendable rationality, and so much more. Read on to discover the numerological significance of 14, challenges to watch for, and four core personality traits that define you.

The Numerological Significance of Number 14

Discerning the numerological significance of 14 requires breaking this down into single-digit numbers, so 14 corresponds with 1 and 4. The single-digits can also be added together, so 14 also corresponds with 5. Altogether, people who are called to 14 essentially embody 1, 4, and 5.

Numerology says 1 is a courageous and independent spirit who seeks adventure, whereas 4 is a steadfast and responsible energy who prioritizes stability. The combination of 1 and 4 can speak to being action-oriented and ambitious, as long as actions taken guarantee security. Thankfully, 5 shakes this energy up by bringing in an adaptable, inquisitive spirit that yearns for new experiences. As these energies come together, it creates the sensory-seeking personality of 14. People who embrace 14’s energy are rational and methodical, but they aren’t afraid to intentionally throw some caution to the wind if their curiosity is piqued.

People who work with 14 also work with Mercury, the astrological planet of communication and intellect. Mercury comes across as curious and excitable. Those who embody Mercury’s energy rarely sit still, because they’re constantly seeking out ways to satiate their mental restlessness. People who embody this energy need help directing and clarifying their electric currents, so Fluorite is the perfect crystal for synthesizing energy.

Challenges to Watch For

As intelligent and quick as those born on the 14th are, they often struggle with finishing what they started. They’re great at getting the ball rolling. Curiosity fuels their every move, since they have an insatiable need to know what could happen if they tried. However, they may lose steam if something doesn’t materialize as quickly as desired. These individuals drop projects, goals, and ambitions if there’s not a quick turnaround in their success. Likewise, they may forgo ventures if they lose their spark for it. Their ever-changing curiosity may draw their attention away to something newer and shinier. Luckily, they’ll eventually learn that finishing one endeavor before moving on to the next can be just as rewarding as starting something new.

Core Personality Traits of Those Born on the 14th1. Clever & Curious

The wittiest person you know is born on the 14th. Individuals with this birthdate are hailed for their cleverness. They’re typically curious individuals, so they spend a lot of time enjoying and deciphering various forms of media. Movies, TV shows, books, and more delight them. Their studies makes them highly perceptive of cultural stands and societal norms. As a result, they know how to time their quips, orient in group settings, and connect with people from all walks of life.

    2. Life-Long Student

What else is there to learn? People born on the 14th are considered life-long students. Even if they didn’t love going to school, they still had a deep desire to pursue their interests. Mercury promote mental stimulation and intellectual pursuits, so these individuals will always seek out opportunities to expand their horizons. Plus, they’re not egotistical about how smart they are, so they have immense potential to become fantastic teachers and mentors.

      3. Adaptable & Flighty

Nothing can throw someone born on the 14th off their trail. These individuals prefer stability, but they’re not disturbed when something calls for change. If anything, they embrace opportunities to pivot. They may feel excited by the prospect of making last-minute changes, since it puts their knowledge to the test. Change allows them to flex how smart and capable they truly are. However, they must be careful of becoming flighty, since they’ll feel more grounded in a semi-stable state.

        4. Entrepreneurial Spirit

Entrepreneurship is destined for those born on the 14th. They may not initially want to pave their own way, since they may feel like a traditional path would be more stable and lucrative. But as time passes, they'll realize that the typical way is boring and limiting. People with this birth date crave excitement, stimulation, and challenge. They do best when they’re their own boss. Entrepreneurship suits them, because it allows the freedom to do whatever they want and to become their best selves.

1972 Classic Was a No. 1 Hit 54 Years Ago Today

          Sat, 03/07/2026 - 4:32am

Fifty-four years ago today, a powerful ballad about heartbreak ruled the American music charts.

On March 6, 1972, “Without You” by Harry Nilsson stood as the No. 1 song in the United States, marking the peak of a song that would become one of the most emotional hits of the 1970s.

The track topped the Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks beginning on Feb. 19, 1972. Its run at the top stretched through early March, including the week that covered March 6.

For Nilsson, the song became a career-defining moment. Despite his long list of acclaimed recordings, “Without You” would remain his only No. 1 hit on the U.S. pop chart.

Released on the album Nilsson Schmilsson in 1971, the song’s dramatic lyrics and soaring vocals helped it climb steadily up the charts. It debuted at No. 99 on the Hot 100 in December 1971, then rose week by week until it finally replaced Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" at No. 1.

More than five decades later, the song remains a timeless breakup anthem. Even though “Without You” became Nilsson’s biggest success, he did not write it. Per Britannica, the song was originally created by Pete Ham and Tom Evans of the rock band Badfinger. It first appeared on the group’s 1970 album No Dice.

Nilsson, unusually, discovered the track. While listening to music at a party, he heard the song and thought it might be a lost tune by The Beatles. The mistake caught his interest. Soon after, he decided to record his own version.

That decision changed his career. Produced by Richard Perry, Nilsson’s cover transformed the rock ballad into a sweeping piano-driven performance.

The recording’s impact went far beyond the United States. The single also reached No. 1 in the United Kingdom for five weeks and topped charts in Australia and several other countries. On Billboard's Easy Listening Chart, the song held the No. 1 position for five weeks as well.

By the end of 1972, the song ranked as the No. 4 hit of the entire year on the Billboard Hot 100 year-end chart.

Nilsson’s stunning performance earned him a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male in 1973. Critics praised the recording for its huge vocal range and emotional delivery, which helped make the track unforgettable for listeners.

One surprising fact about Nilsson is that he almost never performed live, according to Far Out Magazine. Even though he was widely respected as a singer, the studio was where he felt most comfortable. He preferred recording sessions to concerts and rarely appeared in public performances.

That meant fans almost never heard him sing “Without You” onstage. In fact, Nilsson performed the song live only once in his life. The moment happened in 1992 at a concert by Ringo Starr’s All-Starr Band at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. When Starr introduced him to the crowd, he praised the ballad that had defined a generation.

“To be a member of this band, you have to have had a hit sometime this century,” Starr told the audience. “And [Nilsson] had probably the biggest, most beautiful hit of the ’70s: ‘Without You.’”

Nilsson passed away in 1994 at the age of 52, but his music still echoes through pop culture. “Without You” remains one of the most powerful heartbreak songs ever recorded. Its message is simple and direct, which may explain why new generations continue to discover it.

The ballad also gained a second life in the 1990s when Mariah Carey released her own version in 1994. Carey’s cover became another global No. 1 hit, proving that the song’s emotional power had not faded.

Looking back today, the moment in March 1972 stands as a key chapter in music history. A singer known for staying out of the spotlight delivered a performance so heartfelt that it still moves listeners more than half a century later.

And on this day 54 years ago, that voice was the biggest sound in music.

1974 No. 1 Classic Rock Hit Started Out as a Joke

          Sat, 03/07/2026 - 4:21am

In 1974, Bachman-Turner Overdrive (BTO) scored a massive hit with the song  “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet.” The Canadian rock band hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on November 9, 1974, with the song from their third album, Not Fragile.

But “You  Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” almost didn’t happen. The song, written by lead guitarist and vocalist Randy Bachman, was originally a “throwaway,” and there was an inside joke to it. While recording the song, Bachman stuttered as he sang the words “baby” and “nothing” in the chorus. The tongue-tied lyrics were part of a private joke aimed at Bachman’s brother and band manager, Gary, who had a speech impediment when he was a kid.

“Growing up, I was the oldest brother of four boys,” Bachman explained to Guitar Player. “We teased each other all the time. So I wanted to make it an inside joke with them. I said, ‘I think I'm gonna stutter over this and sing anything I can think of.' I figured I'd mix one copy and send it off to my brothers. It’s the ultimate tease, because even though we were grown up and in our 30s, we were still pulling rank on each other.”

Bachman told the outlet that he never expected to include the song on the Not Fragile album. That changed when a Mercury Records A&R vice president asked for a suitable follow-up to BTO’s previous radio hits "Let It Ride" and "Takin' Care of Business."

A sound engineer suggested to Bachman that he pull out the “work track,” which was “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet.” The record executive loved the song, so Bachman agreed to re-record it for the album without the stuttering. But Mercury Records didn’t like the revamped version of the song and insisted that the original version be used.

Bachman called the unexpected hit a ‘freak’ thing

Bachman told Ultimate Classic Rock that “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” narrowly missed making it onto the Not Fragile album because it was a “throwaway” instrumental that he jokingly added lyrics to. His plan had always been to mix one version of the song, which featured him stuttering over the lyrics, and send it to his brother as a joke.

“Then the engineer said, ‘Play him the work track,’  so we played him ‘You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet,’ which was the work track, and he said, ‘I love it. Put it on the album the way it is!’” Bachman explained. “So it was the first BTO album to have nine songs. It had the work track put on it with me stuttering on it, and it became a hit single. So, it was like a complete freak, weird thing to happen.”

RELATED: 1976 No. 1 One-Hit Wonder Was Written in Five Minutes

BTO’s song has actually helped people

While the song started as a playful brotherly joke, “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” caught the attention of The Stuttering Foundation. The organization named BTO’s song the top stuttering song of all time, and it beat out some tough competition, including The Who’s “My Generation” and  David Bowie’s “Changes” for the honor.

The Stuttering Foundation noted that  BTO’s song was chosen because it was “the only such song with stuttering vocals that was about a real person who stuttered.”

“The backstory underscores the power of speech therapy,” the organization added. “Gary Bachman would later overcome his stuttering through speech therapy and embark on a highly successful career in real estate, becoming one of the top realtors in Winnipeg and owning his own agency for over 30 years.”

Two of the World’s Most Anticipated Family Cruise Ships are Officially Launching This Month

          Sat, 03/07/2026 - 4:10am

If you’re planning a family getaway this year, March 2026 is officially the month of the "mega-ship" debut. Two of the most anticipated vessels in the industry—Disney Adventure and Norwegian Luna—are hitting the water, and while both are built for families, they offer two very different ways to experience a vacation at sea.

From a record-breaking coaster in Asia to a futuristic "slidecoaster" in Miami, here is everything you need to know about the two hottest hulls of the season.

Disney Adventure: A Theme Park That Floats View this post on Instagram

Disney Cruise Line just took its biggest swing yet with the christening of the Disney Adventure in Singapore on March 4. As the largest ship in the Disney fleet and the first to homeport in Asia, this ship is designed to be a "journey and a destination" all in one.

Instead of traditional decks, the ship is divided into seven themed lands—much like a Disney park. Fans are already losing it over Marvel Landing, which features the Ironcycle Test Run. At over 820 feet long, it’s officially the longest roller coaster at sea. The ship’s "Godparent," Robert Downey Jr., even made a surprise appearance at the launch to give the vessel a "gargantuan blessing," telling the crowd, “There's an entire amusement park up there. It's bananas.”

          • Best For: Families who want 24/7 immersion in Marvel, Pixar and Disney storytelling.
          • The Vibe: High-energy, theatrical and filled with "first-of-its-kind" tech.

Norwegian Luna: The Evolution of "Freestyle" Luxury View this post on Instagram

While Disney is dominating the Eastern hemisphere, Norwegian Cruise Line is making waves in Miami with the delivery of Norwegian Luna. This next-generation Prima Plus Class ship is an evolution of everything NCL has been perfecting over the last few years—more space, more outdoor walkways and a lot more thrills.

The standout feature here is the Aqua Slidecoaster, a wild hybrid between a waterslide and a roller coaster that wraps around the ship's funnel. Luna also brings a sophisticated edge to family cruising with 17 dining options (including the new plant-based Planterie) and an upgraded Luna Game Zone. It’s the perfect middle ground for parents who want a sleek, upscale feel while the kids are busy on the slides.

          • Best For: Multigenerational families looking for "freedom and flexibility" with a side of high-adrenaline thrills.
          • The Vibe: Modern, upscale, and adventurous, with a focus on the Caribbean and Bahamas.

Spring cleaning always starts with the same goal: reclaiming space to make everything feel fresh again. Whether you’re tackling an overflowing dresser, sorting through your kid's toys, decluttering tabletops, or trying to organize your bathroom, the right storage solution can make the whole process so much easier. A hanging organizer is one of the smartest tools for that job, and right now, Amazon has a two-pack on sale for under $10.

The Temuorg Hanging Organizer 2-Pack is currently just $7, on sale for over half off the usual $15 price. That means you'll pay just $3.50 per piece for versatile, multi-pocket organizers that are perfect for decluttering various areas of your home.

Each organizer features six mesh pockets measuring 12 inches wide and 8.3 inches deep. The pockets are spacious enough to hold a pair of sneakers, but also work for sorting smaller items when you don't want them getting jumbled or hidden in a junk drawer. Included with each organizer are two flat metal hooks that hang easily over standard doors. The hooks can also hang on closet rods and coat racks.

The design of this over-the-door organizer is simple, but the versatility is unmatched. With "lots of storage space," the possibilities of what you can organize and where you can use these organizers are endless. "I have these hanging everywhere in my house," one shopper shared, noting that they used them for toiletries in the bathroom, in the laundry room, and in closets.

I use a similar setup to store toiletries and organize accessories when traveling with my family, using magnetic hooks to hang them on a metal door or wall. One reviewer did the same and shared that "these worked great for a cruise."

Award-Winning Novelist, Who Served in the Military for 3 Years, Dies at 83

          Sat, 03/07/2026 - 3:56am

Few writers approached literature quite like António Lobo Antunes.

The well-decorated Portuguese novelist stands out for his courageous and outspoken approach to writing, which was strongly shaped by his time spent as a military doctor. He died on March 5, 2026, but the extraordinary life he led throughout his 83 years leaves a lasting impact that will endure for generations.

Widely regarded as one of the most important Portuguese writers of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, Antunes built a reputation for political and psychological novels that focused on memory, trauma, and war. His career spanned more than four decades, bringing him great success and making him a frequent contender for the Nobel Prize in Literature. He also earned numerous honors, including the prestigious Camões Prize, the most significant award in Portuguese literature.

Antunes's distinctive approach to storytelling and his unique perspective on novels became defining qualities that set him apart from the countless authors of his time. In a 2008 interview with Alessandro Cassin, Antunes explained, "I see a book as a living organism, with its own rules and will. What matters to me is to allow it to grow and to acquire an existence of its own. It's as if the book uses me in order to come into existence, rather than being written."

Born in Lisbon in 1942, Antunes began his career by studying medicine and specializing in psychiatry. However, this was cut short when he was drafted into the Portuguese army during the country’s colonial war in the early 1970s. He served there for three years as a medical officer, leaving a lasting mark on both his life and his writing. After returning to Portugal, he began writing while continuing to work as a psychiatrist, eventually turning fully to literature.

His early novels quickly attracted attention. Works such as Elephant's Memory and The Land at the End of the World drew heavily from his experiences in Angola, exploring the lingering trauma of war. Critics praised Antunes for his experimental writing techniques, which successfully challenged and pushed the boundaries of storytelling. Though his books were sometimes demanding for readers, they were widely appreciated for their emotional depth and fearless representation of the human experience.

António Lobo Antunes leaves behind more than 30 novels that helped shape modern Portuguese literature and secured his place among the most influential European writers of his generation.

You can shop the piece in five other hues — black, blue, gray, yellow, and pink — all at varying discounts, with the maximum price being $54. Due to the fact that the chair is adjustable, the height ranges from 29.5 inches to 34.3 inches tall. It's worth noting that the high-density sponge cushion can be removed for cleaning, which is definitely a win.

There are 360-degree wheels on the bottom that allow you to move freely and smoothly, so the chair is probably best on hardwood floors, but you can really place it on any surface necessary. You will have to assemble the furniture, but step-by-step instructions are given and shoppers noted that it's very "easy" and "simple" to put together solo.

2020 Classic Was Ranked as the Best ‘Love is Blind’ Episode of All Time

          Sat, 03/07/2026 - 1:24am

One episode from the first season of the hit Netflix reality show Love Is Blindis still winning over fans years later.

The dramatic Season 1 finale, titled “The Weddings,” has now been ranked as the best episode in the show’s history, thanks to its mix of romance, heartbreak, and unforgettable reality TV moments.

The ranking was published by Collider, which placed the Season 1 Episode 10 finale at the very top of the list for its emotional impact and the way it captured everything the social experiment promised viewers. The episode showed several couples walking down the aisle to decide if love could truly grow without ever seeing each other first.

When the episode aired in 2020, viewers watched the show’s first batch of couples face the ultimate choice: say “I do” or walk away. For some, the moment brought real love and lasting marriages. For others, it ended with tears and shocking rejections at the altar.

The finale became a defining chapter of the series because it delivered both outcomes at once.

In the Season 1 wedding episode, six couples who got engaged in the pods were forced to make a life-changing decision. The experiment moved quickly; participants had only known each other for a few weeks before deciding whether to marry.

Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton became the first pair to say “I do,” instantly turning into one of the franchise’s most beloved couples. Their connection had been strong from the start, and the moment Cameron saw Lauren walk down the aisle made it clear that their relationship was real.

Another couple, Amber Pike and Matt Barnett, also tied the knot. Earlier in the season, their relationship had plenty of ups and downs, which made their wedding day feel even more surprising for viewers.

Years later, both couples are still married, proving that the experiment can sometimes work. But the episode also delivered the kind of dramatic moments reality TV fans love.

While two couples celebrated their marriages, three others faced heartbreak during the same ceremony. Giannina Gibelli said yes to Damian Powers at the altar, but Damian shocked everyone by saying, “I do not.” The rejection led to one of the episode’s most memorable scenes as Giannina ran away in tears while still wearing her wedding dress.

Another emotional moment came when Kelly Chase decided not to marry Kenny Barnes. She explained that she cared about him deeply but felt their connection was more like friendship.

Then there was the tense ceremony between Jessica Batten and Mark Cuevas. Mark was ready to get married, but Jessica ultimately said no, confirming what many viewers suspected throughout the season: she wasn’t fully committed to the relationship.

The Season 1 finale helped turn Love Is Blind into one of Netflix’s biggest reality TV franchises. In later seasons, the format expanded to new locations and even international versions.

For example, the dating experiment later traveled overseas with shows like Love Is Blind: UK, where contestants followed the same process of building connections in pods before meeting face-to-face and eventually deciding whether to marry.

Despite the many dramatic moments across later seasons, the original wedding episode remains special for fans. And while reality TV often focuses on chaos, the episode also proved something else: sometimes, the experiment actually works.

For fans who watched in 2020, the finale delivered a perfect blend of drama, romance, and closure. That powerful mix is why, years later, the Season 1 wedding episode still holds the crown as the most memorable chapter in the history of Love Is Blind.
