This Blockbuster Just Became the First Billion-Dollar Movie of 2026
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie just hit a major box office milestone, becoming the first film of 2026 to cross the $1 billion mark worldwide.
Nintendo and Illumination's follow-up to their 2023 hit, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, took until its 10th weekend to hit the $1 billion mark, as per Deadline, but debuted at number one globally on April 1 and remained in that top spot for three consecutive weekends.
In comparison, The Super Mario Bros. Movie took just 26 days to cross $1 billion at the box office, ending its theatrical run having made nearly $1.4 billion in global ticket sales.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is currently the highest-grossing movie of 2026, having brought in $428.5 million at the domestic box office and $571.5 million internationally. These box office sales also make it the second-highest-grossing film based on a video game, coming in only behind The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
Trailing behind The Super Mario Galaxy Movie at the box office in 2026 are Lionsgate’s Michael, which has grossed $888 million worldwide, Amazon MGM Studios’ Project Hail Mary, which has brought in $680 million and Disney’s The Devil Wears Prada 2, which follows closely with a $663 million gross total.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie stars returning celebrity voice actors Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Keegan-Michael Key and Jack Black, bringing in newcomers Donald Glover, Glen Powell and Benny Safdie for the sequel.
In the film, Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Yoshi must team up with Fox McCloud to rescue Princess Rosalina after she's captured by Bowser Jr. in a plot to drain her cosmic powers and honor his father, Bowser, with a catastrophic cannon. Along the way, a major secret is uncovered about Princess Peach's past.
Nintendo is following up its success with the Super Mariomovies with a live-action The Legend of Zelda movie, set for release in April 2027.
'70s TV Legend Reveals the One Famous Line He Still Hears From Fans 50 Years Later
Richard Thomas made his debut on The Waltons more than five decades ago, but one line from the beloved classic TV show still stays with him—and he hears it on a daily basis.
Speaking with People magazine in a new interview, Thomas, 74, revealed he never gets tired of fans saying “Good night, John-Boy” to him. The iconic line closed out the CBS drama series for years as the Walton family members turned out their lights at bedtime at the end of each episode.
On The Waltons, Thomas played eldest son John-Boy Walton for nine seasons, from 1972 to 1981. The actor told People that he still loves it when fans say the "good night" line to him, and he noted that when he performs stage shows, he regularly hears it during the curtain call.
“I get lots of 'Good night, John-Boys.' It's very sweet. It makes me very happy,” the actor said.

Based on Earl Hamner Jr.’s true family story of growing up in a small town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, nearly every episode of The Waltons ended with the family saying good night. Hamner once told The Television Academy Foundation that Thomas saw his childhood home in person and understood how the “good nights” came to be.
“That was something that we actually did when I was growing up,” Hamner recalled. “We would say good night to each other all over the house, and sometimes we get carried away, and we'd go say so many good nights that my father, who had to get up early in the morning, he'd say, ‘All right, that's enough.’ And Richard Thomas, after his first trip to Virginia, came back and he said, ‘You know I always wondered how you people could say good night and be heard. But then I saw the house; it’s such a little cracker box that now I understand.”

Thomas told The Television Academy Foundation that the good nights “were emblematic" of what The Waltons was about.
“No matter what happens during the day, no matter what the family went through, no matter who was in conflict, no matter what the hardship might have been … when it was time to go to bed, when it was time everyone was together… after the drama of the episode, it was the making whole again of the family," he explained.
Thomas also shared that he expected the “Good night, John-Boy” phrase to follow him forever.
“It'll happen today at some point. It'll happen several times today before the end of the day,” The Waltons star said of hearing the phrase. “It'll be on my tombstone, I'm sure. … I'm John Boy. ‘Good night, John-Boy’ has always been with me and I love it.”
Singer-Songwriter Talay Riley, Who Wrote Hits for Dua Lipa and Britney Spears, Dead at 39 After London Stabbing
British singer-songwriter Talay Riley, who worked with and wrote songs for artists including Dua Lipa, Britney Spears and Zendaya, was stabbed to death in London on Friday, June 5, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
Authorities were called around 9 a.m. on Friday after receiving a report that a man had been stabbed. They transported him to a hospital, but Riley, whose real name is Mark Orabiyi, was pronounced dead on his arrival.
He was 35.
Another man was taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds, but his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The police arrested two men and one woman who were near the scene on suspicion of murder. According to US Weekly, one of the men was released on bail pending further investigation, while the other two were "released with no further action."
“Mark was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. He brought love, light, and joy to our family and to all who knew him,” Riley’s family said in a statement. “We will always cherish his kindness, beautiful spirit, and remarkable talent. His presence touched many lives, and his memory will remain in our hearts forever. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”
Riley wrote songs including Zendaya’s “Close Up,” Dua Lipa’s “Last Dance” and Spears’ “Clumsy," as well as having worked with artists including rapper Stormzy, Craig David, Chris Brown, Khalid, and more.
Riley’s brother and music producer Scribz Riley paid tribute.
"I never thought the day would come where I’d be writing this, but unfortunately I can confirm that in the morning of Friday 5th June my big brother YINKA (Talay Riley) passed away," he wrote on Instagram. "My heart is shattered! This doesn’t feel real. It feels like a bad dream. Just before he went to sleep we spoke about the future, staying positive and about everything we still had left to do. I never imagined that would be our last conversation. Yinka wasn’t just my brother. He was my mother’s son, a friend to many, a mentor, an inspiration, and a light in so many people’s lives. He had one of the purest hearts I’ve ever known. He loved deeply, gave freely, and touched countless people through his talent, kindness, and spirit. The outpouring of love already shows how many lives he impacted. You inspired so many people and your legacy will continue to live on through your music, your family, your friends, and everyone blessed enough to have known you. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me and my family, we appreciate you all."

Wendy's Debuts Five New Menu Items Based Off of Illumination's 'Minions & Monsters'
Wendy's is delivering pure mischievous fun this summer season with the debut of a brand-new menu inspired by one of the summer's most highly anticipated movies.
According to a new press release from the company, the iconic fast food chain has recently unveiled a new collaboration with animation studio Illumination, specifically rolling out a new lineup of menu items based on the upcoming Minions & Monsters.
Beginning June 15, the limited-time menu items will be available at Wendy's locations across the country, including a brand-new Frosty flavors and exclusive collectible items.
As per the release, the new menu lineup includes the following items:
- An all-new Banana Frosty Swirl, featuring "a sweet banana cream sauce swirled into Wendy's iconic Vanilla Frosty base that will make fans (and Minions) go absolutely bananas."

Eric Dane's Daughter Georgia Hits Major Milestone as Mom Rebecca Gayheart Shares Emotional Tribute
Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart's daughter, Georgia Geraldine Dane, marked a major milestone this month—graduating from middle school and looking ahead to high school.
Georgia's graduation came amid an emotional year for the family, following Dane's ALS diagnosis and the challenges that accompanied it. Gayheart shared a photo of the momentous occasion on Instagram, writing, "Congratulations Georgia !!! You have graduated middle school and survived an incredibly difficult year . I am so beyond proud of you — your tenacity, grit and grace has been on full display. Welcome to high school— I have no doubt you’re ready . I am so excited for you ! Gayheart and Dane separated in 2017 after 13 years of marriage, but never officially divorced. In an interview before his death in Feb. 2026, Eric said he was still in love with his wife. "I just think we don’t want to live with each other. But there’s a lot of love there," Dane said. "I will never, by the time anybody sees this, have fallen in love with another woman as deeply as I fell in love with Rebecca."

In addition to Georgina, 14, the couple has an older daughter, Billie Beatrice, 16. Dane was always candid about how his ALS diagnosis impacted his daughters. He recounted how an ocean swim turned into a watery rescue.
"When I jumped in the ocean that day and realized I couldn't swim [or] generate enough power to get myself back to the boat, I thought, 'Oh, God,' " Dane told Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America in 2025. "And then I realized in that moment I'm not safe in the water anymore." That's when Georgina had to jump in and save him.
"She dragged me back in the boat," he recalled, adding, "I was like breaking down in tears, so I made sure she got back in the water with her friend and continued on with the snorkeling with the guide. But I was just heartbroken."
‘80s Rock Icons Forced to Postpone Show Due to ‘Road Traffic Incident’
Echo & the Bunnymen were forced to postpone their June 7 concert at the Fillmore Philadelphia after vehicle carrying singer Ian McCulloch was involved in a “road traffic incident,” the band announced on their social media platforms.
“As a result, Ian required medical treatment,” the band’s post reads. “Thankfully, the injuries sustained are not believed to be serious; however, as you can appreciate, he has been left understandably shaken by the incident. As a precautionary measure, Ian is undergoing further medical assessment, including scans and X-rays.”
“After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to postpone tonight's performance in Philadelphia,” the message continued.
“Postponing a show is always a last resort. We never want to disappoint our fans, and we know many of you will have made plans to attend this evening's concert.”
As of this writing, the band’s sold-out June 8 show at the Brooklyn Paramount is still on.
The Philadelphia date, according to the band’s official website, was not sold out. The band is asking fans to hold onto their tickets “while we work through the next steps.” The band added that an update on the situation will be provided as soon as possible.
Echo & the Bunnymen’s U.S. dates continue through June 19 when the tour wraps at the Fillmore in Minneapolis. There are some off-dates between the band’s show in Brooklyn and the end of the U.S. tour, leaving the possibility open that the Philadelphia date could be rescheduled prior to the end of the tour, named 1978-2026, More Songs to Learn and Sing, after their 2006 best of compilation, which was an update of the 1986 release Songs to Learn and Sing.
Echo & the Bunnymen, formed in Liverpool in 1978, are best known for such ‘80s hits as “The Killing Moon,” “Lips Like Sugar,” and “Bring on the Dancing Horses.” The former song was prominently featured in the 2001 cult film Donnie Darko, while the latter was heard in the 1986 teen classic Pretty in Pink. McCulloch and guitarist Will Sergeant are the band’s sole remaining original members. Original drummer Pete De Freitas died in a motorcycle accident in 1989 at the age of 27. Bassist Les Pattinson left the band in 1998.
Nancy Guthrie Update: Significant Change Draws Attention at Home Where She Vanished
A noticeable change has taken place outside the home where Nancy Guthrie was last seen.
New photos from the property show that something that had become a fixture in the weeks following her disappearance is no longer there, drawing attention from those closely following the case.
On Sunday, June 7, YouTube livestreamer Jonathan Lee Riches aka JLR posted a photo of the scene outside of Guthrie's home and the memorial that had been set up has been completely removed. What was once an area filled with flowers, yellow ribbons, and sweet messages is now just dirt.

"What the HECK is going on here?? This is so terribly sad and BEYOND DISRESPECTFUL for EACH individual that has taken the time and their own money to pay their respects to Nancy," one person wrote.
"This is awful. Poor Nancy is still missing," someone else said.
"That’s sad. And weird really. Nancy is still missing," a third comment read.
Last month, one of Guthrie's friends spoke out about her fears that people would move on from the case and that Guthrie would be forgotten.
“Even in Tucson where it happened, it’s starting to fizzle out, and I don’t want that to happen,” Lauren Serpa told Page Six. “It’s been 100 days, and people are starting not to forget, but not to think about it as much.”
“People are starting to move on basically. That’s what happens when it doesn’t affect their lives,” she continued. “So that’s why I’m trying to keep it in the forefront as much as possible.”
Guthrie, 84, has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.

1978 Timeless Classic, Originally a Major Flop, Became a Hit 14 Years Later
A song that barely made an impact when it arrived in 1978 eventually found the audience it deserved more than a decade later, proving that some rock classics simply need time to be discovered.
"Another Girl, Another Planet" by English rock band The Only Ones is now widely regarded as one of the defining rock songs of the late 1970s. Yet despite its lasting reputation, the track failed to become a chart hit during its original release and spent years as a cult favorite before gaining broader recognition.
Released in 1978 as part of the band's self-titled debut album, the song showcased the group's blend of punk rock, power pop and hard rock influences. While critics and devoted music fans embraced the track, commercial success never followed.

The Only Ones released three studio albums between 1978 and 1980, but all struggled to achieve major sales, and the band eventually disbanded in 1982.
Today, however, "Another Girl, Another Planet" is considered the band's signature song and one of the most celebrated rock recordings of its era.
The song was recorded at Escape Studios in Kent using a 16-track analogue Studer tape machine and an ex-Steve Marriott Helios mixing console. Produced by John Burns and later mixed at Basing Street Studios, the recording captured the melodic songwriting style of frontman Peter Perrett and the band's distinctive guitar-driven sound.
Despite receiving praise from music journalists, the single did not chart during its initial 1978 release. Its first notable chart appearance came years later in New Zealand, where it reached No. 44 in 1981.
The song's fortunes changed dramatically in 1992. To promote the compilation album Sound of the Suburbs, "Another Girl, Another Planet" was re-released in the United Kingdom.
The renewed attention pushed the track onto the UK Singles Chart for two weeks, peaking at No. 57. While the chart position was modest, the reissue introduced the song to a new generation of listeners and marked the beginning of its commercial resurgence.
The growing appreciation for the track reflected a larger trend in rock music, where overlooked songs from previous decades were being rediscovered by younger audiences.
Over the years, "Another Girl, Another Planet" earned recognition from musicians, critics, and fans alike.
Andy Claps of AllMusic famously described the song as "Arguably, the greatest rock single ever recorded."
The track also secured a place in John Peel's all-time Festive Fifty millennium edition, ranking No. 18. During a 1980 broadcast, Peel introduced it as an "artful little caprice."
Its influence spread across generations of artists. The Only Ones became admired by bands including The Replacements, Blur, Nirvana and The Libertines. Several acts later recorded their own versions of the song, including Blink-182, whose 2005 cover appeared on the band's "Greatest Hits" album and reached No. 99 on Billboard's US Pop 100 chart.
The song's popularity expanded further through appearances in films, television and advertising campaigns. A major turning point came in 2006 when it was featured in a Vodafone advertising campaign. According to the Grunge, the exposure introduced the track to millions of listeners and sparked renewed interest in The Only Ones' catalog.
The resurgence became so significant that The Only Ones reunited in 2007 after years apart. The band completed a comeback UK tour and continued performing throughout 2008 and 2009.
Their return demonstrated how a song that initially struggled to find commercial success could eventually reshape a band's legacy.
More than four decades after its release, "Another Girl, Another Planet" remains a staple of classic rock playlists and retrospective collections celebrating the late 1970s.

'Grease' Star Breaks Silence on the On-Set Mistake Fans Never Spotted
One of the stars of the 1978 smash movie musical Grease has opened up about an on-set mistake that turned into a happy accident, resulting in one of the film's most iconic lines.
In an interview with Remind Magazine, Barry Pearl, who played Doody, shared the improved remark that became one of the movie's oddest lines, which he said, "meant nothing."
“When we’re in the bleachers, before we sing ‘Summer Nights, we’re making fun of Tom Chisum, Lorenzo [Lamas’] character,” the actor began. “He’s running in his football stuff, and he puts his foot in his helmet, and [we] say, ‘You really put your foot into it this time, Chisum!'”
“Michael [Tucci], who’s an authentic Italian, as I’m an authentic Jew — I’m supposed to be Italian in this, at least that was my choice — he uses the [slang] word when he puts somebody down, ‘you’re a real gavone.’"

“I loved that, and in the moment, because we did a lot of improvisation in many of the scenes, when it came time for us to be making fun of [the character of] Tom Chisum, I wanted to call him, ‘You’re a real gavone,’ or ‘Hey gavone,’ at which point Michael actually said it, ‘What a gavone.'”
However, that's not how Pearl responded to Tucci's statement, leading to one of the film's strangest lines.
Perry explained, “At that point, I already had the ‘G’ [sound] coming out of my mouth. So, I said, ‘Gumdrops, man.' It means nothing! It’s not a put-down, it’s nothing!"
"That’s the shot that they’ve got in the movie! I got a Pepsi in my hand, a yellow squirt gun in the other hand, and ‘Gumdrops, man!’ And they kept it!”
Grease starred John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, Stockard Channing, Didi Conn, Jeff Conaway, Dinah Manoff, Michael Tucci, Barry Pearl, Kelly Ward, and Jamie Donnelly. For JoAnna Garcia Swisher, one of the most meaningful themes in Season 5 of Sweet Magnolias is something she personally relates to on a deep level: pursuing your dreams, no matter what stage of life you are in.
The actress, who stars as Maddie Townsend in the hit Netflix series, said Maddie's decision to leave the comfort of Serenity to pursue a publishing opportunity in New York struck a chord with her personally.
“This aspect of Season 5 was really special,” Swisher exclusively told Parade. “It resonated with me because I live my life like that. I feel like I still have so many dreams, along with a super-supportive family.”
While Maddie's departure divided some fans last season, Swisher was firmly in her corner. “I know it was a bone of contention for some people, but I was really happy that she did it,” she said. “It was a great opportunity for growth and storytelling—not just for Maddie, but for all the characters around her.”
That spirit of growth is at the heart of Season 5, which explores how the residents of Serenity chase their dreams, while leaning on the people who love them most.
“Whether you're married, have children, or whatever your circumstances are, we should all dare to dream a little,” Swisher said. “And that dream looks different for everybody.”
For Maddie, reinvention has been a central theme since the series began. After her marriage to Bill ended in Season 1, she was forced to rediscover herself and embrace unexpected opportunities.

“One of the things I loved was how she initially bristled at opening the spa with Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott) and Helen (Heather Headley),” Swisher recalled. “It was unsettling to her, but then she leaned in and allowed them to lift her up and support her. Sometimes that's exactly what you need in life.”
That message of female friendship remains one of the show's strongest themes, including how the younger generation of women see Maddie and her friends as positive role models.
“I think the power of sisterhood is pretty extraordinary,” Swisher said.
As the mother of two daughters, ages 10 and 13, she appreciates seeing women support one another as they pursue different paths.
“My daughters are growing up seeing all of their aunties dream in different ways and have different life experiences,” she explained. “But they also see that we're all here to ride or die for each other. That's the unconditional love Helen, Maddie and Dana Sue have.”
For Swisher, Sweet Magnolias has always been less about reaching a destination than navigating life's ups and downs together.
“There may be a moment when I'm at my highest, but it may be a really dark moment for one of my girlfriends,” she said. “We're holding each other through it, and that's okay. Then it shifts. It's really about navigating life together.”
Netflix has not yet announced whether Sweet Magnolias will return for a sixth season, but Swisher said the cast and crew would welcome the opportunity.
“If the fans show up and reaffirm that it's something they want to see, I believe Netflix will be supportive of another season,” she said. “Everybody involved would love to land the plane in a celebratory way with a sixth season.”
Although Maddie's New York adventure doesn't turn out to be “the raging success story everybody hoped for,” Swisher appreciates that the character remains honest about life's disappointments.

One thing she was especially excited about this season is the evolution of Maddie's relationship with her husband, Cal (Justin Bruening).
“I was really grateful that Cal and Maddie got to have a happy season,” she said. “We've had beautiful moments in previous seasons, but their relationship has been like a freight train from the beginning.”
This time around, viewers get to see the couple enjoy being together. “I appreciated that they really got to enjoy each other and experience that fairy-tale kind of thing.”

The actress also sees parallels between Maddie's marriage and her own relationship with husband Nick Swisher, the former MLB star and father of their two daughters.
“My husband, Nick, is very much like Cal in that way,” she said. “He's an incredible support system, a cheerleader and a motivator.”
She recalled filming her recent Netflix movie A Christmas Kind of Love, which required her to sing on screen for the first time. “I was so scared,” she admitted. “I got super emotional one day, and Nick grabbed my face and said, ‘Don't worry. You've got this.’”

For Maddie, Dana Sue, and Helen, friendship means showing up for one another through every challenge.
“It's about having a commitment to one another—to being honest, supportive and protective,” Swisher said. “You're not stuck with one another. These are relationships you're choosing to be in the trenches with.”

“When people reach out, whether in person or on social media, they always talk about the friendship between Maddie, Dana Sue, and Helen,” she said. “They also tell us that it's such a hopeful show, and we all need more hope in our lives.”

Long before Sweet Magnolias, Swisher became a household name while playing Cheyenne Hart-Montgomery opposite Reba McEntire on the beloved sitcomReba from 2001 to 2007.
The show continues to find new audiences through Hallmark reruns, and recently, Swisher reunited with McEntire and former co-star Melissa Peterman during a guest appearance on Happy's Place.
“It was such a joyous reunion,” she said. The experience became even more special when McEntire insisted that Swisher's family join her.
“I flew [from Atlanta to Los Angeles] the day after wrapping Season 5 of Sweet Magnolias,” Swisher recalled. “I didn't bring Nick and the girls because our children were still in school.”
When McEntire learned they weren't coming, she immediately stepped in. “Reba said, ‘Are you out of your mind? You better get them here.’ So, I called Nick, and they came. To see my daughters experience such a meaningful moment in my life was wonderful!”
Swisher said the close friendships viewers see on screen extend well beyond filming.
“When we're not on set, we keep in touch,” she said of co-stars Elliott and Headley. “We have so much fun together, and they genuinely make me laugh.”
Their friendship has become one of the highlights of her career. “I miss them when I'm not with them,” she said. “They've been such a high point of my professional life. I just love them!"
As for how she's influenced Maddie over five seasons? “I feel like I may have brought out a spicier side of her,” Swisher laughed.
"But honestly, she's gotten me through a lot, too," she added. “A lot of life has happened, and she's someone I'm extremely proud of.”

’90s Rock Band Begins Tour in United States for the First Time in Over 10 Years
The ‘90s all-female rock band Kittie made its long-overdue return to the American stages.
The Canadian heavy metal group, composed of the current lineup of Morgan Lander on lead vocals, rhythm guitar and piano, along with Mercedes Lander on drums and percussion, Tara McLeod on lead guitar and Ivana "Ivy" Jenkins on bass guitar, kicked off their highly anticipated North American tour for the Legacy Of Fire Tour: 30 Years Of Kittie.
In celebration of the band’s three-decade career since they started Kittie in 1996, the quartet began their 16-date run last June 6 in Missouri.
As the band continued their North American leg, Lander delivered a special message to her fans online.
In an Instagram update, the drummer revealed that this will be their first tour in North America since 2011 and their first after ending their 13-year recording hiatus in 2024.

Former NCIS co-stars Brian Dietzen and Pauley Perrette just offered fans an inside look at their reunion.
Dietzen took to Instagram on Sunday, June 7, to reveal that he and Perrette, who appeared on 15 seasons of NCIS together as Dr. Jimmy Palmer and Abby Sciuto, respectively, had reunited for not one, but two concerts that week.
“Got to see @ellavos, @tinangelband and @cloverlin07 at @thehotelcafe and hang with @thepauleyp. That’s two shows we saw together in a week!” Dietzen, 48, wrote in the caption of his social media post, which featured Perrette, 57, rocking multicolored hair and pointing at his face. “Music is the best. So are good friends.” (See the post below.)
NCIS fans were thrilled to see the two back together again, with one commenter writing, "Great to see Pauley!!! We miss her!!!" Another added, "Omg love this so much!! So good to see Pauley," as a third chimed in, "ABBY!!!! God how i miss her face!!! I loved everything about her and all she brought to the show! We need a guest appearance!!!"
Dietzen and Perrette both appeared in the original cast of NCIS, with Perrette exiting the series at the end of Season 15 in 2018. She went on to star in CBS' short-lived sitcomBroke, which aired for one season in 2020 before Perrette announced she was retiring from acting entirely.
"At this point in my life I have this deep need to find authenticity in everything," she told Hello! in October 2024. "Being an actor, especially at certain points in my life, was a great escape; it's like a drug because I didn't have to be me, I could be somebody else. My character didn't have all of the problems that I was having. It's why I only watch documentaries. I want the truth. For me, going back to being an actor would be taking away from this life of true authenticity that I'm living 100% of the time."
Dietzen is still a major part of the NCIS world, both starring in and writing for the series.

When looking at the numerous theme parks scattered throughout the country, Stricker's Grove undoubtedly ranks as one of the oldest and best of the nation's amusement park offerings.
A historic family-owned amusement park based in Ross, Ohio, Stricker's Grove originally opened in 1924 as one of the Midwest's premier amusement park destinations.
Unlike most other family-oriented theme parks, however, Stricker's Grove is unique in that, while most parks are open to the public on a year-round basis, the iconic Ohio theme park only allows outside visitors for four days a year, according to People magazine.
Shying away from the typical model most theme parks incorporate, Stricker's Grove instead functions as a private rental venue, allowing guests to reserve the entire park for themselves for such events as weddings, corporate retreats and birthday parties.
As per People, the only time the park officially opens to the public is for four days of the year: an Independence Day celebration on the Fourth of July; a family day celebration on August 9; a Labor Day outing for September 7; and a customer appreciation day on October 11.
Additionally, the park also hosts the annual Hamilton County Community Fair from July 8 to July 11, bringing in a variety of pop-up displays, food offerings and other entertainment options to attendees.
In terms of price, People noted that admission to the park for July 4 is free, but that visitors will need to pay separately if they want to board any of the park's rides. For this, Stricker's Grove offers individual tickets or a $25 armband for unlimited access to rides.
On all other dates, guests will need to pay a $22 entrance fee that includes access to all rides. For the Hamilton County Community Fair, however, admission is guaranteed through a single price ticket.

Written by Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, with Desmond Child, "Livin' on a Prayer" was released in December 1986 and hit No. 1 on the Billboard Top 100 on Valentine's Day, 1987. It has since been certified triple platinum, meaning the song has sold over 3M units.
The song was the cornerstone of the band's third LP, Slippery When Wet. It helped propel the album to massive commercial success, establishing Bon Jovi as one of the defining rock acts of the 1980s and beyond.
However, Bon Jovi told The Irish Times that he wasn't so sure about the song when it was initially written.
