This Minor League Ballpark Was Just Named One of the Best in the Country and It's Worth a Visit

Mon, 03/09/2026 - 3:01pm

Spring is in the air, which means that baseball fans everywhere are eagerly anticipating the first crack of the bat of the season. While many people will spend the next few months glued to their televisions as their favorite teams take the field, hundreds of thousands of lucky people will get to head to their favorite ballpark to watch the action live.

And those who are in the Allentown area will be in for an especially big treat when they head to Pennsylvania's Coca-Cola Park, since it's been nominated as one of the best Minor League Ballparks in the country by USA Today. Home to the IronPigs, this family-friendly arena has it all, including some non-baseball events which it hosts in the off-season. Curious to learn more? Here's what you need to know about Coca-Cola Park.

Coca-Cola Park holds a special place in my heart, since it's about 10 minutes from my house. That means that it's the baseball park where my family heads whenever we go out to watch a live game, and it's the one that my kids will always think of whenever they think about watching baseball.

However, you don't need to live close to the stadium to be able to appreciate everything it has to offer, which is evident since it was named one of the best Minor League ballparks by USA Today's panel of experts, who considered things like:

  • Amenities
  • Relationships with Major League teams
  • Atmosphere
  • Legendary players
  • Architecture

And while voting is still underway for a few more hours, it's an honor just to be named as one of the top 20 parks in the country.

I mentioned bringing my family to Coca-Cola Park, because it's something we do a few times a year every summer. One of the reasons why we spend so much time here is because of how affordable it is. For example, tickets for an upcoming game against the Mud Hens can be purchased for as low as $12 a person, making it easy to bring the whole family along.

Not only that, but the park really does cater to its youngest baseball fans. There's a large grass hill in the outfield where many families opt to set up shop with their own blankets, since it makes the game more enjoyable for little kids who may get bored and want to run around. Not only that, but there is also a big playground located within the stadium, which is where I've taken my family when they need to stretch their legs for a bit.

The food is also really good, and you can find everything from upscale eats to normal ballpark favorites, like popcorn and hotdogs. As for those who love nothing more than an ice cold beer while they're watching the game, there's also plenty of spots to grab a brew or two. And obviously, the park serves plenty of Coca-Cola products thanks to its namesake, and it also features as massive light up bottle of soda that opens up as

While my favorite players to ever take the field at Coca-Cola Park are my children—every summer, the IronPigs hosts a special night for the local youth associations, where they can run the bases, meet the players, and even throw a few pitches—there are also some big names that baseball fans everywhere will recognize thanks to the park's affiliation with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Ranger Suarez, Bryce Harper, Brandon Marsh, and Kody Clemens have all donned the IronPigs uniform at one point or another, either as they got their start or while on assigned rehab by the Phillies, which means visitors can sometimes watch the Major League players when they come for a game.

In addition to games in the regular season, including popular ones with teams like the Savannah Bananas, the park also opens its doors to some off-season fun like, job fairs, Cosmic Baseball (which is done using blacklight and is just as awesome as it sounds), and the Illumination! festival which takes place during Christmas, making it a big deal for non-traditional baseball fans as well. Have you ever seen a baseball stadium covered in Christmas lights? Trust me, it's a sight to behold!

Whether you're nearby and want to check it out, or hoping to add it as a stop on your next trip to the East Coast, Coca-Cola Park definitely deserves a spot on your itinerary, no matter what time of the year you're here!

Legendary Singer Announces One Last Album After 65-Year Career

Mon, 03/09/2026 - 2:56pm

Dionne Warwick has announced her final album to close out her 65-year career.

According to Billboard, the six-time Grammy winner will release the first single off her upcoming album DWuets on Friday, Mar. 20.

The lead single off the record is titled "Ocean in the Desert" and is a collaboration between Warwick and Wicked actress Cynthia Erivo. Billboard also reports that Grammy winner Kehlani will be featured on the album’s second single.

“It was such a joy to be in the studio harmonizing with such a talented entertainer as Cynthia," Warwick said of working with Erivo in a press announcement. "We immediately bonded and had so much fun recording this beautiful song.”

“It was so warm being in the studio with Dionne; it was like a mother-daughter relationship,” Erivo added. “This experience was like the godmother of music coming in and saying to me ‘I knight you.’”

Warwick and Erivo first met when the latter performed “Alfie” while honoring Warwick at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2023.

The 1966 hit is one of three of Warwick’s iconic songs inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, along with “Walk On By” and “Don’t Make Me Over.” Warwick has also received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

For DWuets, Warwick collaborated with Grammy-winning songwriter and 14-time Oscar nominee Diane Warren, with the album’s title drawn from their initials.

Warren wrote all the songs on DWuets, while Warwick’s son and manager Damon Elliott produced all of the album’s duets.

“The experience of watching all of these young legends working with a real living legend was a thrill to watch,” said Elliott in the press announcement. “Mom picked the lock for them, and they paid respect to one of the greatest artists ever.”

More details about the record's duet partners, as well as the album’s release date, will be announced at a later date, per Billboard.

10 States You Can Still Catch the Northern Lights in Tonight (And the Best Viewing Spots)

Mon, 03/09/2026 - 2:53pm

There isn't much more magical than witnessing the Northern Lights. As their colors dance across the sky, you can't help but wonder what ancient folks must have thought about the magical display. Typically, the Northern Lights are associated with, well, more northern areas, but every now and then countries like the U.S. get blessed with witnessing this phenomenon firsthand.

Over the weekend of March 6 into the 7, there was a high chance of seeing the lights with the arrival of fast solar winds, according to Space.com. And though everyone thought they may have missed their window, March 9–10 could still offer an opportunity to catch this mesmerizing phenomenon due to some lingering fast solar winds.

Where Are You Most Likely to See the Northern Lights on March 9?

According to the current aurora view line from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC), the following states are most likely to be able to catch the dazzling display between local times of 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. Plus, we added some of the best locations to spot them in:

  • Alaska: Denali National Park is the top-tier choice for viewing, but if you cannot get there, the Chena Lakes Recreation Area near Fairbanks makes for a great aurora hotspot.
  • Idaho: Idaho's official dark sky park is Bruneau Dunes State Park, but some other lovely options are Priest Lake and the Idaho Panhandle National Forests.
  • Minnesota: Close to the Canadian border is Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, where skies are extremely dark. Voyageurs National Park is also a stunning place to catch auroras.
  • North Dakota: Theodore Roosevelt National Park has minimal light pollution, while views from Lake Sakakawea State Park offer a gorgeous horizon over the water with little light interference.
  • South Dakota: Dark sky park Badlands National Park is perfect for aurora sightings, but Custer State Park and Spearfish Canyon will also get the job done.
  • Maine: Aroostook State Park in northern Maine boasts very dark skies, as does the extremely remote Baxter State Park. Of course, Acadia National Park also has quite a few spots for prime viewing.
  • Michigan: Isle Royale National Park has some of the darkest skies in the Midwest, while the Keweenaw Peninsula is known for frequently displaying auroras during strong storms.
  • Wisconsin: Newport State Park is the state's only designated dark sky park, but the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore will offer stunning reflections over Lake Superior.
  • Montana: Glacier National Park never disappoints with aurora displays, but views from Flathead Lake will undoubtedly provide stunning open-water reflections.

The coronal mass ejection (CME) that launched on March 6 is expected to pass closely to Earth today or this evening. Though experts are expecting it to miss, according to Martha Stewart, the blow could briefly boost geomagnetic activity and increase the chances of seeing the lights.

To capture them, you'll need to make sure you are looking at a clear view of the horizon as far away from light pollution as possible. Sometimes they can go unnoticed by the naked eye, so be sure to use your phone's camera lens to see them in all their glory.

And if you can't get to these spots—or even those states—this evening, don't fret. Experts are predicting that March 20 will also hold another chance to see them.

‘Top Chef’ Judge Gail Simmons Teases What Makes Season 23 ‘So Different’ (Exclusive)

Mon, 03/09/2026 - 2:49pm

As Top Chef returns with its 23rd season, longtime judge Gail Simmons says the show’s newest destination gave the series a chance to explore a part of the country that feels both familiar and completely new.

Season 23 of Top Chef heads to the Carolinas, where the competition was filmed in Charlotte and throughout the surrounding region. For Simmons, the location opened the door to an entirely different culinary landscape.

“I was thrilled to be there,” Simmons tells Parade. “Every season Top Chef tries to show our viewers, our chefs and us judges a different part of this country that has a unique cultural and culinary heritage. Every year, we try to do something new, something that has a sense of discovery.”

Related: ‘Top Chef’ Season 23 Premiere Elimination: Who Was Sent Home First?

While the show previously filmed in Charleston and other parts of the South, Simmons says this season highlights a different side of the region.

“We’d been to Charleston before… but the part of the Carolinas where we were—Charlotte and Appalachia, into Greenville and Asheville—really showed us a different side,” she says. “The food is different, the history, the origins of their cuisine and the kind of history of immigration patterns and who has come to live there over time.”

Season 23 Explores the Carolinas’ Food History

According to Simmons, the show dove deep into the agricultural and culinary traditions that define the region.

“There’s a lot of things people will expect because they know what the region's known for, things like BBQ,” she says. “But there was so much that was undiscovered too.”

One example she highlights is the surprising influence of certain crops grown in the Carolinas.

“The biggest sweet potato production in America is in the Carolinas,” she says. “Things like chili peppers and hot peppers—how much production is there, how there are actually peppers named after the Carolinas because they are cultivated there.”

Those ingredients and local traditions became inspiration for challenges throughout the season.

“There’s just so much to work with for each location,” Simmons says.

Charlotte’s Dining Scene Left a Big Impression

Filming in Charlotte also gave Simmons the chance to explore the city’s rapidly growing food scene.

“Every time I go anywhere, I have a big list of spots,” she says. “Charlotte is a big city. I had never spent time there before, so I armed myself with a big list.”

The judge says her culinary tour included everything from barbecue to international cuisine.

“We ate a lot of BBQ and a lot of modern food, and we had great Thai food and great Italian food,” she says. “We did a lot of road trips that were really fun around the region.”

She also discovered some ingredients she’d never encountered before.

“There are a lot of ingredients I’d never heard of, like scuppernongs, which are a kind of grape,” Simmons says. “It was also peach season, so we ate a lot of great produce.”

Celebrity Guest Judges Are Joining the Season

While Simmons says she can’t reveal too many details yet, she hints that viewers can expect some memorable guest appearances this season.

“The guest judges this season were great,” she says. “There were obviously lots of local chefs we were really excited to meet, but we also had some really fun celebrities who are fans that came to eat with us and share their opinions.”

Gail Simmons on Seeing ‘Top Chef’ Alumni Thrive

Over more than two decades, Top Chef has helped launch the careers of hundreds of chefs, many of whom now run restaurants, publish cookbooks and host their own shows.

Simmons says watching former contestants succeed has been one of the most rewarding parts of the series.

“We’re so proud of the hundreds of contestants who have competed on our show and gone on to be leaders and stars in our industry,” she says. “There are so many people who we met when they were just on the precipice of their careers, and now they’re household names.”

“It sounds very grandiose whenever I say this, but of any reality show in the history of reality television, I think Top Chef has made the most economic impact in its industry,” Simmons adds.

Gail Simmons Was Rooting for Kristen Kish on ‘The Traitors’

Simmons also weighed in on watching Top Chef star-turned-host Kristen Kish compete on the reality series The Traitors.

“I'm so proud of her,” Simmons says. “It’s very different than the reality competition show that we’re on… but certainly she’s incredibly competitive.”

“I [was] hoping she just takes it all,” she adds. “I [was] rooting for her.”

Top Chef premieres Monday, March 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo before moving to its regular timeslot of 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on Monday, March 16. airs Monday nights at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. All season 23 episodes will be supersized to 75 minutes.

Jeff Daniels has joined the upcoming fifth season playing Lukas, a self-made billionaire and founder of a well-known investment firm, Deadlinewas first to report.

How many episodes are in Season 5 of The Morning Show?

Each season so far has been comprised of 10 episodes, so expect the same for Season 5.

How to watch The Morning Show

The Morning Show airs exclusively on Apple TV+.

Is The Morning Show based on a true story?

Over the years, The Morning Show has covered plot points across a wide swath of real-life events. Some, like a scandal involving a news anchor, were taken from real situations, but with different characters. Other times, characters were involved directly with true events, like the January 6 storming of the Capitol.

How did Season 4 of The Morning Show end?

The Morning Show Season 4 was perhaps its wildest yet, with stories around AI, the Olympics and a devastating pregnancy loss. And, while Alex and Bradley have seemingly been on their own separate paths throughout the season, the finale brought them back together. The final scene had Alex flying to Belarus, where Bradley had been detained and tortured. She affirms to her co-host, "I was wrong. The story’s out there. You don’t understand. You changed everything."

Is The Morning Show about Matt Laeur?

The first center of The Morning Show focuses on Mitch Kessler, played by Steve Carell, at the center of a "#MeToo" scandal. His character gets fired after multiple complaints of sexual misconduct. At the time, Carell insisted to Yahoo Entertainment in 2019 that The Morning Show was not a direct take on former TODAY anchor Matt Lauer, who had been fired by NBC News in November 2017 for sexual misconduct, "but instead "an amalgam of different people."

However, theLos Angeles Times then reported that, after Laeur's firing The Morning Show — which was announced earlier that month — was revamped. The focus shifted to gender in the workplace after Season 1 showrunner Kerry Ehrin was brought on. Ehrin told The Times, “That’s it — like, the whole thing. That’s what the subject is. There’s no subject bigger or more important right now."

Sylvester Stallone Just Opened a 'New Chapter' for Rambo in the Most Surprising Way

Mon, 03/09/2026 - 2:36pm

He's not suiting up again, but he's not walking away, either.

Sylvester Stallone has announced he's executive producing John Rambo, a new origin film built around one of his most iconic characters. "Now we're going back to where his story begins," Stallone, 79, wrote on his official account. "I'm excited to be executive producing @JohnRamboFilm, exploring the early chapter of the man before the legend."

Stallone's statement wasn't a corporate press release. It was personal. "Rambo has been part of my life for a very long time," he wrote. "A character built on resilience, survival, and the scars of war. He's meant a lot to me and to audiences around the world for decades."

That emotional candor makes the announcement land differently than a standard franchise news drop. This is Stallone handing over something that matters to him, and making clear he still wants a hand in how it's handled.

Fans didn't wait long to weigh in. "Knowing that this film will have a touch of your hand gives all of us fans hope. I can't wait for this new chapter," one wrote within minutes of the post going live. Another admitted they'd been "telling Frank I want one more Rambo," and others kept it simpler: "Rambo and Rocky. The heroes who motivated my childhood."

So Who's Playing Young Rambo?

Noah Centineo. The To All the Boys I've Loved Before star is set to take on the role Stallone made legendary, portraying John Rambo in the years before the events of First Blood (1982). It's a significant swing; for Centineo's career and for the franchise.

Related: Rambo is Back! See the ‘Yellowstone’ Star Joining Noah Centineo in the Iconic Action Prequel

Behind the camera, the project has serious pedigree. Jalmari Helander, the Finnish director behind the acclaimed survival thriller Sisu, is helming from a script by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani. Lionsgate is distributing, with Millennium Media and the Russo Brothers' production company AGBO among the producers.

Already Filming — in Thailand

Production kicked off in January 2026 across multiple locations in Thailand, including Bangkok, Krabi, Phang Nga and Kanchanaburi, terrain that fits the Vietnam War-era story the film is set to tell.

Centineo has an ensemble around him too: Yao (Sinners), Quincy Isaiah (Winning Time), Jefferson White (Yellowstone), Jason Tobin (A Thousand Blows) and Tayme Thapthimthong (The White Lotus) round out the cast.

With Rambo: Last Blood now seven years in the rearview, there's genuine appetite for the franchise to mean something again. Whether audiences go all-in on a Centineo-led origin story is the open question, but with Stallone's blessing attached, the new John Rambo at least has the right person vouching for it.

13 U.S. Publishers Band Together to Take Down Brazen Pirating Site

Mon, 03/09/2026 - 2:30pm

Sadly, pirating is still not a thing of the past, and it’s not just TV and movie producers who have to deal with it. Book publishers are also tackling pirating websites, with one standing out in particular, Anna’s Archive.

This is no longer a case of one or two small publishers going up against giants in the hope of success. A total of 13 U.S. publishers, including the Big Five, have joined together, knowing there is power in numbers.

U.S. Publishers Want a Permanent Injunction Against Anna’s Archive

The brazen pirating site was already the focus of a lawsuit in December 2025, as Atlantic Recording Corp. alleged the stealing of thousands of audio files from the record label. At the time, the company alleged there were “61,344,044 books” and “95,527,824 papers,” according to Publishers Weekly.

Since then, another two million books and 100,000 papers have been allegedly added. This is something major U.S. publishers have focused on as they work together to take the site down. They claim that Anna’s Archive’s aim is to “to take all the books in the world,” in the filing made on March 6, 2026.

This isn’t just about stealing the content, either, as technology grows. Anna’s Archive is allegedly using unorthodox methods to monetize the copyrighted material. This site isn’t the traditional pirate website where people are able to download for free. It instead seeks what it calls donations via cryptocurrency to circumvent detection.

Anna’s Archive Is Also Dabbling in AI

A common topic of today is that of artificial intelligence, and the use of AI in the publishing world. The complaint goes into how Anna’s Archive promises to offer “high-speed access to… developers of large language model AI systems and data brokers.” The stolen works have already been handed to these AI developers, raising concerns about how the content will be used.

So far, the content has been distributed to companies in China, Russia, and many other locations. One alleged company is Meta Platforms—which owns Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram—with the stolen content being used for the development of Llama.

Hachette Book Group, HarperCollins, Macmillan Publishing Group, Penguin Random House, and Simon & Schuster are the five main publishing houses working together to take down Anna’s Archive. The others are, in alphabetical order, Apress Media, Cengage Group, Elsevier, John Wiley & Sons, Bedford, Freeman & Worth Publishing Group, LLC D/B/A Macmillan Learning, McGraw Hill, Pearson Education, and Taylor & Francis Group.

This isn’t the first lawsuit against Anna’s Archive—or other pirating websites—and the company did lose one of its domain names after Spotify and other companies filed suits earlier this year, according to TorrentFreak. However, other domain designations have been swiftly added, making it clear that the site isn’t going down without a fight.

Whether you love entertaining on the patio or enjoy spending quiet time on your deck with a good book, a durable side table is an outdoor essential that can bring both convenience and style to your space.

Even if that space happens to be limited, the Fodinghill Adirondack Side Table makes an exceptional choice. It offers ample room yet occupies a minimal footprint, making it a practical option for anything from a compact porch to a spacious patio. Priced as high as $110, it's on sale at Walmart for just $40 in the black version. Other colors, including white, gray, red, and sky blue, start at just $45. There are plenty of other hues available too, ranging from yellow to navy.

Coming in at 14 inches long by 13 inches wide by 17.7 inches high, the table weighs only 10 pounds. It's substantial, but not so heavy that it's a major task to shift elsewhere. The two-tier table is also built to withstand loads up to 150 pounds, making it ideal for keeping everything that you need within easy reach.

With two shelves, it's well suited to any household's needs. The top tier keeps beverages, snacks, phones, tablets, and other must-haves right where you need them, while the bottom layer makes a great spot for those items you might want to keep nearby but slightly out of the way, like the next book on your reading list or a bottle of sunscreen.

The classic Adirondack style lends it a rustic appeal. Unlike conventional hardwood, though, this version is thoughtfully designed with a durable, heavy-duty polyethylene thermoplastic. It’s waterproof and resistant to common concerns like inclement weather and ultraviolet rays. That means it will stay in great shape no matter what the conditions, whether it's exposed to heavy downpours or harsh sunlight.

It's even immune to the other usual suspects that may affect outdoor furnishings over time, like chips, cracks, and rot. The material retains its clean, smooth finish, and doesn't require any special upkeep to stay that way. Just wiping it down with soapy water is more than enough. Several people shared that they also appreciated how easy it was to put together, with most noting it took no more than 10 to 20 minutes.

One shopper described it as "solid, well constructed, and beautiful," and most customers highlighted the table's strength as a major selling point. "Perfect for my outdoor space," raved another buyer. "It is extremely sturdy. I love the look and the two tiers of shelving!"

Kendall Jenner Just Shared Her Bathroom Renovation on Instagram

Kendall Jenner/Instagram

On Thursday, March 5, Kendall Jenner shared two photos to her Instagram story, as reported by People. In the first (as seen above), captioned "bathroom reno," you can see a totally gutted bathroom — half of the room's walls are missing, revealing wood studs, pipes and wires.

Then, she shared the after shot, on which she wrote, "all done." In the photo, you can see his-and-hers bathroom sinks set in a natural marble countertop that extends several inches up the wall.

There are also large octagonal wall mirrors with black borders above both sinks, and their reflections reveal funky black-and-white patterned tiles on the opposite wall, presumably in the shower. The area is partitioned off with what looks like a maroon-and-tan striped shower curtain.

The soft grayish walls and the simple sconce hung between the mirrors create soft and moody lighting. There's also what looks like a vintage wine bottle with fresh pink lilies set on the counter. But in which of Jenner's houses is this bathroom?

Kendall Jenner Owns Properties in California and Wyoming

Jenner did not share which house her renovated bathroom is in — but there's a good chance it is in her Montecito, Calif. property, which she purchased in 2025 for $23 million, according to Haute Residence.

The home reportedly boasts 15,000 square feet and 6 acres of land, and it was first built in the 1800s, according to The U.S. Sun — so it's certainly plausible that she might be conducting a few renovations there.

View this post on Instagram

That said, this new bathroom is likely not in Jenner's Wyoming home, which she completed renovations on last year. That home is a “grandma chic” mountain house that features antique decor, cozy rooms, lots of natural light and even an adult bunk bed room.

“We’re up in the mountains. I felt like there were no rules when designing,” Jenner said in Architectural Digest's video tour of the house.

Famous Late Night Host Is Begging for a Soap Opera Role — and Fans Already Have One in Mind

Mon, 03/09/2026 - 2:19pm

John Oliver is throwing his hat into the ring to appear on a soap, and it all stems from another TV personality’s side gig on General Hospital.

Stephen A. Smith may be known in the sports world as a broadcaster, host, and former basketball player. However, on the hit ABC soap, fans know him as Brick, Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) go-to fixer.

It turns out that Oliver recently learned of Smith's time on the soap and was inspired to snag a role on a daytime drama as well. The Late Night with John Oliver host used his late-night HBO show to make a plea to the powers at any of the five soaps to make it happen.

“To all the soap operas out there, let me say this: I am officially offering myself to you. Write me a role, and I’ll be on your set so fast, it’ll make your head spin. I only have a few conditions: First, I don’t want to play myself; I want to be a character. And I want his name to be ridiculous. Also, I want to do something juicy like murder or slapping or being slapped or being someone’s long-lost something and, ideally, I’d like a dramatic close-up of my face. But in return, trust me, I will give my all to this performance,” he declared.

Oliver even showed he would not disappoint with a temporary transition into the soap world by recreating one of Smith’s shootout scenes on General Hospital.

Fans of the ABC soap immediately began plotting to get Oliver on the show. One fan on X posted Oliver’s segment pleading for a daytime drama role, tagging General Hospital and executive producer Frank Valentini.

Another fan chimed in on the X to share, “I really need this to happen!! He could be one of Holly’s thieving cousins 😂 #GH #johnoliver.” “When the Battle of Spoon Island happens I will have zero problem with mysterious MI6 assassin John Oliver appearing to double tap Cullum then report back to his old friend and lover Agent Scarecrow.  #gh,” expressed another.

While the call seems to be to have Oliver on General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, or Beyond the Gates could also snatch him up. Oliver has no preference for which show; he simply wants his shot on the soap screen.

Indycar Is Racing Past Washington, D.C.’s Most Iconic Landmarks for the First Time Ever

Mon, 03/09/2026 - 2:16pm

As Washington, D.C. prepares for the 250th anniversary of the United States, with a slew of patriotic activities expected to take place in the capital city, a major new event is taking shape quickly.

The Freedom 250 Grand Prix is slated to take place on August 22 and 23, sending race cars zooming close to 180 miles per hour through the city. Earlier today, organizers revealed the event’s planned track map.

The 1.7 mile street circuit will feature seven turns, and will include a 0.4 mile stretch along Pennsylvania Avenue, “framed by the Washington Monument and the U.S. Capitol,” race organizers stated

The pit lane area will also be placed along Pennsylvania Avenue between the first and second turns on the route. Other notable landmarks along the route include the National Archives, the National Mall, and several Smithsonian museums including the Hirshhorn Museum, the National Gallery of Art, and the National Air and Space Museum.

NBC Washington reports that U.S. Secretary of the Interior Doug Bergum told reporters at a press conference that “It’s a combination of history and horsepower that’s going to happen here,” with an expected turnout of over one million spectators.

“We want people to plan their trips to D.C. now. Come for the Freedom 250, and then stay to enjoy our monuments and museums, our beautiful parks, world-class restaurants and hotels, and all the culture and entertainment that make us the best city in the world,” said Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser

Though city leadership and organizers seem excited about the event, Washingtonians have mixed feelings about the race, taking to social media to air their grievances.

“As a racing fan this track doesn’t even look good,” said one commenter on a post from Washingtonian Problems, a popular Instagram account that highlights local news in the DMV area.

“These cars are going to fly straight into the Potomac after they hit a pothole,” wrote another, as a third agreed, asking if organizers have “seen the pot holes in DC?”

After a recent brutal winter storm in the region that left “snowcrete,” or piles of snow covered in ice that proved difficult to remove, local drivers have reported an increase in potholes, leaving some people, like another Instagram commenter, to wonder, “Does this mean the potholes on Pennsylvania will also be fixed?”

Rihanna House Shooting Suspect Reportedly Posted About Her Online Before Incident

Mon, 03/09/2026 - 2:08pm

Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, the suspect accused of shooting at Rihanna's home on Sunday, Mar. 8, reportedly posted about the singer online just weeks before the alleged incident.

In a screenshot of Ortiz's alleged Facebook account obtained by TMZ, Ortiz appeared to share a selfie on Feb. 23 with the caption, "@badgalriri Are you there? Cause I was waiting for your AIDS 5-head self to say something to me directly instead of sneaking around like you talking to me where I'm not at."

A Jan. 4 YouTube video obtained by the outlet also appears to show Ortiz clutching a "Praying Woman's Journal" and accusing Rihanna of trying to kill her. She also appears to say that when Rihanna dies, God will take Ortiz to her "future."

In a second Facebook post, Ortiz seemingly shared a bizarre video directed at rapper Cardi B.

While dressed in a blonde wig and American flag shorts, Ortiz records herself speaking into a mirror, saying "You can't f--k with me, Cardi B. You're supposedly busy right now. But you know who has the cutest outfit tonight? You know who's the cutest tonight? I am."

"I'm the cutest tonight. You ain't doing nothing to me. You ain't messing with me tonight," she continued.

Margot Robbie Chopped off Her Long ‘Wuthering Heights’ Hair and Looks Great With a Chic Bob and Sheer Top

Mon, 03/09/2026 - 2:01pm

Margot Robbie can pull off any haircut, and she's rocking the tousled bob with broken bangs right now.

The Barbie star, 35, who got her start in her native country of Australia, broke onto the scene with a breakthrough role opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street. Since then, she's made waves with incredible performances in I, Tonya, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Bombshell, and Wuthering Heights, for which she just completed a lengthy press tour. To match the aesthetic of the film, which is set in the 18th century, Robbie has been sporting long locks, often done up in thick waves and curls. But that all came to an end this week when the blonde beauty hit the Chanel Fall/Winter 2026-2027 fashion show as part of Paris Fashion Week and showed off a much shorter haircut. With her hair running just below her chin and bangs spread across her forehead, Robbie made it clear that she can wear any haircut she chooses. She capped off the casual look with light-colored denim and a sheer white top.

When Did Margot Robbie Become a Mom?

Robbie is navigating life as a movie star and a new mother. She and her husband, Tom Ackerley, welcomed their first child, a baby boy, in October 2024. Typically very private, Robbie opened up a bit about being a new mom in a recent interview.

“It’s funny,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “If you try to explain it to someone who has kids, you don’t need to because they get it. And if they don’t, it’s probably just really boring to hear. So, you’re just kind of like, ‘It’s the best.’”

Her little one did give fans a good laugh when his cries interrupted an interview with Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans.

“I’m so sorry about that… how loud my baby is,” Robbie said, laughing. Farrell chimed in, “It’s a great soundtrack, isn’t it?”

“Literally, every time, I go, ‘That’s my baby,’” Robbie continued.

Pedro Pascal Shows Rafael Olarra Some Love on Social Media for the First Time

Mon, 03/09/2026 - 1:48pm

Pedro Pascaland Rafael Olarra have had fans in a chokehold ever since their first spotting together back in February.

Are they dating? Are they just friends? Do they know we love this so much for them?

At this point, neither has confirmed nor negated the swirling dating rumors publicly, which is absolutely their prerogative, but also, will absolutely keep that mill just a'churning.

Case in point -> today, due to the Mandalorian actor's latest activity on Instagram, the mill is working overtime.

Olarra posted a carousel of photos showcasing his recent trip to Mexico. The photos show the Faena Hotel creative director lounging in a hammock, his left leg brace on full display. The snaps then work their way through exhibits and artwork on display at the Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporáneo in Mexico City

View this post on Instagram

The photo dump ends with Olarra capturing a blue heart painted on a sidewalk -- the Argentine triathlete's sneakers, red shorts, and leg brace can all be seen at the bottom of the picture.

The post, which was shared yesterday (Sunday, March 8), is captioned with a simple smiley with sunglasses emoji and, at the time of writing this story, has nearly 3,000 likes and more than a hundred comments. But there is really only one that is making headlines.

First to leave a comment, @pascalispunk wrote, "Viva 🇲🇽," which translates to "Long live Mexico." For the uninitiated, @pascalispunk is Pedro Pascal's Insta handle.

Pascal's comment now has hundreds of likes and more than 30 replies of its own.

Very active on social media, The Last of Usstar uses his platform to support various events and causes close to his heart. His latest Instagram Story, for instance, showcases a reel celebrating strong female leads in cinema for Women's History Month.

Pascal has also been known to comment on his friends', family's, and fans' posts. So commenting on any old Insta share is no big thing for Mister Fantastic, but drawing attention to the post that seemingly highlights the getaway he took with his rumored beau kinda is.

Olarra and Pascal were first linked in February 2026. Over the weeks since, they have been spotted catching a flick in New York City, showing affection in Los Angeles, and walking around together in Mexico. As we mentioned above, neither has publicly addressed the relationship, nor how the two met.

Pascal, 50, is a notoriously private person when it comes to his personal life.

On the other hand, Olarra, 42, is an openly gay man who studied at the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires, per Queerty. He was last linked to actor/singer Luke Evans (Nine Perfect Strangers). The two went Instagram official in February 2020, per People, then announced their breakup in 2021 after a year together, per Out magazine.

‘Brady Bunch’ Star Susan Olsen Honors ‘Christmas Cindy’ Jennifer Runyon

Mon, 03/09/2026 - 1:39pm

Susan Olsen paid tribute to her Brady Bunch “replacement,” Jennifer Runyon, hours after the actress's death was announced. Runyon, 65, died on March 6 surrounded by her family, TMZ reported.

In a Facebook post on March 8, Olsen, 64, recalled how Runyon played her character, Cindy Brady, in the 1988 A Very Brady Christmas TV movie, when she declined a return to the role.

Olsen noted that Runyon really became part of the Brady family, unlike replacements for Maureen McCormick’s Marcia (Leah Ayres) and Eve Plumb’s Jan (Jeri Resichl)  in previous Brady revivals.

“Over the decades, all three Brady Bunch girls have been replaced for one reunion or another. There is ‘Fake Jan’ and ‘Fake Marcia.’ But Jennifer Runyon must always to be referred to as 'Christmas Cindy,'” Olsen wrote. “I was very happy when they chose her to replace me in A Very Brady Christmas because she was so pretty. I was relieved to know that anyone who didn’t realize that she wasn’t me would think I turned out good.”

Olsen also shared that while she didn’t know Runyon at the time the movie was made, she met her by chance at Burger King when they were both with their kids years later. “Just like in the movies, we trotted toward each other, meeting in the middle of the play area in an embrace!” she wrote. “We were instant friends!”

The former child star revealed that she had a close friendship with Runyon and that they had more in common than just playing the youngest Brady child.

“We even co-hosted a podcast together for a while,” Olsen shared. “She was always kind, always funny and always gorgeous. The kind of person who would be there if you ever asked. At the time when I was trying to sell a TV show about going off the grid, she actually did it! I’m sure she and her wonderful husband weren’t actually ‘roughing it’ but they lived in Montana in nature’s beauty – another common passion. I had a standing invitation to visit, and like with so many things, I always meant to…

Olsen signed her tribute, “Love You Forever!- OG Cindy.”

Susan Olsen skipped the TV movie over a pay dispute

Olsen played Cindy Brady from 1969 to 1974 in the original Brady Bunch series, but she squabbled with producers over the pay for the 1988 Christmas movie.

While fellow original cast members Robert Reed, Florence Henderson,Barry Williams, Maureen McCormick, Chrisopher Knight, Eve Plumb, and Mike Lookinland all joined in the highly rated holiday film, Olsen gave the project a hard pass when she found out what her salary would be.

"They were being stingy," she told cultfilmfreak.com, per MeTV. “I decided to take a stand because they were doing this 'You're the youngest, so we'll pay you the least' thing. I was like, 'They've GOT to be kidding,' and what I didn't realize was that they didn't need me anyway. They only had to deliver five out of six ‘kids’ in the cast, so I was expendable. They only wanted to pay five of us.”

Olsen said she had no problem with Runyon taking over her role. “Jennifer is much prettier than I am, so I was OK with her as a replacement,” she added. “She's totally nice and got out of the business to be a mom. I think she's great."

In 2025, Runyon told Nosti’s Nook that all of the Brady stars were “terrific” to work with, but that she formed a special friendship with Olsen even though they didn’t appear in the movie together. “Susan actually is a friend of mine, and she calls me Christmas Cindy,” Runyon said in a video posted three months before her death.

Country Superstar Wynonna Judd Teams Up With '90s Rock Legend Melissa Etheridge For New Tour

Mon, 03/09/2026 - 1:37pm

Wynonna Judd is hitting the road again—but she's not doing it alone.

Judd, 61, and Etheridge, 64, announced the news in a joint Instagram post on Monday, March 9, expressing that they are both "so excited" to finally share the news with their fans.

Sharing a promo video for the upcoming tour, the two artists wrote in the caption, "We grew up on the same songs, the same airwaves, and the same kind of music that brings people together. 📻"

View this post on Instagram

In the video, Judd appears driving a red Chevrolet down a scenic country road while listening to Etheridge's 1993 track "I'm The Only One" when her car radio keeps going on in and out, causing her to slam her fist down on the dash in frustration.

When her troubleshooting attempts fail, Judd eventually pulls over and gives Etheridge a call to ask her, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

"No one else on earth, Baby," Etheridge replies, referencing Judd's 1992 hit song, while adding, "I'm the only one."

"Meet you there," Judd then says, tossing her cell phone in to the backseat.

"We are so excited to announce the Raised On Radio Tour—two voices, two stories, and the songs we were raised on," the pair wrote in their Instagram announcement, while telling fans, "SEE YOU THERE  🎶"

Fans were instantly ecstatic over the tour news, with several users on Instagram praising the duo as an "elite pairing" and the "best collab ever."

"What a show that will be," another user chimed in.

Someone else, apparently in disbelief over the news, wrote, "This can't be really happening."

The two singers will be stopping in over 25 cities on the upcoming tour, which is scheduled to take place from June 24 through Sept. 11.

Tickets will go on sale starting Tuesday, March 10 with the Fan Club presale at 10 a.m. local time, followed by a general onsale Friday, March 13 at 10 a.m. local time.

Iconic 2010s Drama Made TV History After 40 Years With This Major Move

Mon, 03/09/2026 - 1:37pm

When Kerry Washington first walked onscreen as Olivia Pope on April 5, 2012, she did more than kick off one of the most compulsively watchable dramas in network TV history; she ended a 38-year wait.

When Scandaldebuted on ABC, Washington became the first Black woman to lead a network drama since Teresa Graves starred inGet Christie Love!in 1974. In the 38 years between Graves and Washington, not a single broadcast network centered a Black woman in a drama. Not one.

That gap didn't happen by accident, and Washington knew exactly what she was stepping into.

'Everybody Called It a Risk'

Washington has been candid about the weight of the moment.

"When Scandal first aired, everybody talked about it, literally talked about it as 'a risk,' to have a Black woman as the lead of a network drama because it hadn't happened in almost 40 years," she's said. The character was inspired by real-life crisis manager Judy Smith, herself a Black woman, which made the casting relatively non-negotiable. Still, Washington understood the stakes went far beyond her own career. "If I didn't give it my all and do the best work I was capable of," she has said, "they weren't gonna put another Black woman in the number one role on a TV drama for another 40 years."

She gave it her all.

The Ripple Effect

Scandal, created byShonda Rhimes, ran for seven seasons and became genuine appointment television at a time when that was getting harder to achieve.

Washington was only the third Black woman in American TV history to lead a network drama, after Diahann Carroll in Julia (1968) and Graves, but Scandal's success triggered what NBC News dubbed the "Kerry Washington Effect." Within a few seasons, Viola Davis was leading How to Get Away With Murder (also Rhimes), and networks across the board were scrambling to cast women of color in dramatic leads.

Washington has since said at a Bloomberg Screentime conference that the show would "100 percent" not be made today — a sobering coda to a story otherwise full of triumph. A more risk-averse industry, she suggested, would never greenlight it. That makes what Scandal actually accomplished feel even more remarkable in retrospect.

All seven seasons are now streaming on Netflix. If you've never watched Olivia Pope take on Washington, D.C., this month feels like exactly the right time.
