Iconic '80s Rock Band Getting Official Biopic Movie

Tue, 03/10/2026 - 11:21am

One of the most successful rock bands of the 1980s is heading to the big screen.

According to Deadline, a new biopic about Bon Jovi is officially in development at Universal Pictures, with the participation of frontman Jon Bon Joviand access to the band’s music catalog.

The film will focus on the band’s formative years, tracing how the New Jersey group rose from local clubs to global superstardom.

Born Jon Bongiovi, the future rock star was inspired early on by music, particularly The Beatles. As a teenager growing up in New Jersey, he began writing songs and performing in local bands while trying to break into the music industry.

Bon Jovi also worked at his cousin’s Power Station recording studio in Manhattan, where he swept floors and observed major artists like Aerosmith recording albums. While there, he recorded early songs—including what would later become the hit "Runaway."

After struggling to get the attention of record labels, the song gained traction when New York rock station WAPP began playing it, helping launch Bon Jovi’s career and setting the stage for the formation of the band.

Keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, bassist Alec John Such and guitarist Richie Sambora soon joined Bon Jovi, forming the lineup that would help define one of the most recognizable rock sounds of the decade.

The band’s breakthrough came with their third album, Slippery When Wet, which featured massive hits like "Livin' on a Prayer" and "You Give Love a Bad Name." The album sold more than 30 million copies worldwide and helped turn Bon Jovi into one of the biggest touring acts in rock.

Overall, the band has sold more than 130 million albums worldwide and has been inducted into both the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

The script for the film will be written by Cody Brotter, whose previous work includes the Black List script Drudge. The movie will be produced by Kevin J. Walsh and Gotham Chopra, whose company Religion of Sports produced the 2024 Hulu documentary series Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story.

That documentary, directed by Chopra, chronicled the band’s 40-year career and was created with full access to the members of Bon Jovi.

The new film will instead focus on the band’s early years and the path that led them from local New Jersey clubs to filling stadiums around the world.

Taco Bell’s New Menu Is Serving Up Sweet and Spicy Surprises

Tue, 03/10/2026 - 11:20am

Taco Bell is taking fan requests seriously, and the latest announcements to come from its recent Live Más Live are evidence of that.

Last week, Parade got a front-row seat at the third annual event, where Taco Bell unveiled all the innovations and menu changes heading out over the next eight months or so, and it's a lot (some 20 new menu items and counting!)

So, while you can totally wait to watch Taco Bell reveal the menu updates in its live-to-tape Peacock special, we've put together a compilation of all the new items expected to launch in 2026 for those who just want to dive right in to the good stuff.

Taco Bell Unveils Over a Dozen New Items—Including Riffs on Nostalgic Favorites

Taco Bell's plans for 2026 are pretty limitless, featuring new apps, entrees, desserts, and items that fans probably never even thought Taco Bell was capable of—like its new Edible Sauce Packet.

The item is exactly what it sounds like: a deep-fried, crunchy pocket filled with a spicy-ish sauce that's got enough flavor to wake you up but not so much that it'll start a fire in your mouth. The dough isn't a regular tortilla, either; it's a lighter and crunchier—think flour tortilla meets puff pastry. Just bite into it and drizzle all over your taco, burrito, Crunchwrap, or whatever.

Moving on to flavors that feel familiar, Taco Bell is still apologizing for ever removing its cult-favorite Mexican Pizza from menus, and it's giving it three spinoffs this year.

The newMexican Pizza Empanadas transform the entree into pockets of warm and spicy beans, sauce and cheese; they were previously tested this past November and fans called them "perfection."

This comes in addition to the debut of the Chicken Mexican Pizza with Jalapeño Citrus Salsa—adding the flavors of slow-roasted chicken to its stacked tortillas that are then drizzled with a new Jalapeño Citrus Salsa and an Avocado Verde Salsa—and its first-ever dessert version of the menu staple, the Strawberry & Cream Mexican Pizza Bites, which shrinks each slice into bite-sized tostadas filled with whipped cream and topped with chopped strawberries and white chocolate shavings.

During the event, Taco Bell confirmed that its Nacho Fries would now be a permanent menu item, and that a spicier version—the new Flamin' Hot Nacho Fries—would arrive later this year.

Its celebrity-endorsed chicken nuggets are returning as well, with one seriously spicy new flavor and two less intense, zestier options. Taco Bell's Diablo Dusted Crispy Chicken Nuggets, a recipe created for anyone who complains nothing is ever hot enough. The new nuggets were previously teased as a test item in the fall of 2025 and feature the same crispy, crunchy outer shell and moist white meat chicken interior as the original, but up the ante with flavor dust that packs a fierce, fiery punch. The entree comes paired with the Hidden Valley Ranch Diablo Sauce and one bite was enough to make us sweat.

The company saidDoritosFlamin' Hot and Cool Ranch versions will later join the all-heat option for those who can't handle such intense spice.

Speaking of Flamin' Hot, Taco Bell is weaving it into even more menu items this year, debuting the Flamin' Hot Mini Taco Salad. It takes the original mini Taco Salad that launched in the second half of last year and adds a rim of Flamin' Hot dust. It's not as hot as some other newcomers, but it has an added kick that the original lacks.

It also debuted a second bowl, this one without Flamin' Hot dust. The new Queso Cracked Cantina Bowl features seasoned rice, slow-roasted chicken, black beans, lettuce, purple cabbage, reduced-fat sour cream, pico de gallo, cotija dip, chile lime seasoning, and a Cheddar cheese top layer that's transformed into a crispy cheese chip for an "elevated" experience.

Keeping fans on their toes, Taco Bell announced it will launch a Firecracker Burrito, made with a red flour tortilla shell, seasoned rice, Nacho Cheese sauce, seasoned beef, Fiesta tortilla strips, Creamy Chipotle sauce, reduced-fat sour cream, and a sprinkling of cayenne poppin' crystals for "a flavor and texture experience that is sure to surprise." As well as new Cheesy G Sliders (or Gordita Sliders), which transform its Cheesy Gordita Crunch into two smaller, palm-sized "sliders" packed with seasoned beef, cheese, lettuce, spicy ranch and wrapped up in pillowy flatbread.

And to think that's just the savory stuff!

Taco Bell said it will release three new desserts and three sweet and cool new beverages this year, including a Milk Bar Birthday Cake Empanada, Crème Brûlée Crunchwrap Slider, Mountain Dew Baja Midnight Pie, Cold Brew with Purple Horchata Cold Foam, a Tacolate Chiller in partnership with Salt & Straw, and a new Strawberry Horchata Refresca.

Marisa Losciale

  • Birthday Cake Empanada: Inspired by the Taco Bell x Milk Bar Birthday Cake Churros that fans loved, the fast-food chain is stuffing creamy, gooey cake frosting into the crunchy, warm shell of an empanada to celebrate its 64th birthday.
  • Crème Brûlée Crunchwrap Slider: The first sweet take on its iconic Crunchwrap, it features a hand-sized brûléed Crunchwrap topped with even more cinnamon and sugar.
  • Mountain Dew Baja Midnight Pie: A twist on the viral Baja Blast Pie inspired by the new Mountain Dew Baja Midnight soda. The soda is passion fruit-lime-flavored, but this pie tasted more like grape, with a custard-like consistency and a flaky crust.
  • Cold Brew with Purple Horchata Cold Foam: An energizing cold brew beverage topped with a vibrant purple cold foam featuring flavors of cinnamon and vanilla.
  • Salt & Straw Tacolatte Chiller: Taco Bell and Salt & Straw's Choco Taco-inspired dessert that went nationwide last year is getting its own milkshake! It's creamy, chocolately, not all that sweet and has a crunch factor thanks to those waffle inclusions.
  • Strawberry Horchata Refresca: The classic Mexican beverage is getting a fruity, pink makeover that's not overly sweet or artificial. It has a subtle strawberry flavor and is so creamy that it can even extinguish the fire that the Diablo Chicken Nuggets will undoubtedly set.

And you may think it's a joke, but Taco Bell is also diving into the skincare game, launching Mountain Dew Baja Blast Under Eye Patches for die-hard fans. Each patch is "infused with caffeine and a refreshing boost of citrus," offering cooling hydration in Baja Blast hue.

As for when Taco Bell plans to release these items, your guess is as good as ours! T-Bell, apparently, isn't willing to give away all its secrets, so fans will just have to wait until the brand officially announces the additions are available, one by one, just as it has in years past—we are talking about a year's worth of innovation here, so we feel pretty confident predicting that it won't all launch at once, but rather a slow burn through December. But because the company knows its fans lack patience, it's offering a new twist on the viral Caramel Apple Empanadas with the launch of two new dessert flavors: Chocolate Fudge and Salted Caramel.

Iconic '70s Rocker, With Classic No. 1 Hit Song, Turns 79

Tue, 03/10/2026 - 11:13am

Tom Scholz is no ordinary rock star. With a master’s degree from MIT, a self-built recording studio and countless hours spent making music alone in a basement, he created Boston — one of the defining rock bands of the ‘70s and ‘80s.

Today, their founder and creative mastermind celebrates his 79th birthday

Scholz was born on March 10, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio. As a child, he studied piano and spent his time building model planes, customizing go-karts and taking apart anything he could find. That curiosity eventually led him to earn a master's degree in mechanical engineering from MIT and work as a product design engineer at Polaroid.

Even with a successful engineering career, Scholz felt something was missing. While still at his day job, he built his own studio and spent more than five years recording demos and sending them to record labels.

His persistence finally caught the attention of Epic Records, who signed Scholz and vocalist Brad Delp, even before Boston had officially come together.

Scholz then completed the band’s lineup by recruiting drummer Jim Masdea, bassist Fran Sheehan, guitarist Barry Goudreau and later drummer Sib Hashian

Released in August 1976, Boston’s self-titled debut quickly became the most successful debut album of its time, much of it recorded using technology Scholz had invented himself. The album’s breakout single, "More Than a Feeling," became a rock classic and helped push the record to over 17 million copies sold.

When Epic tried to market the album with the slogan “Better music through science,” Scholz pushed back.

“I thought it was a terrible reflection on the album,” Scholz later said. “I can’t argue that I put my technical background to work when I was trying to make the record. But the music itself had nothing to do with science. Music was my escape from that world.”

Scholz's attention to detail meant fans often waited years between albums. The follow-ups Don't Look Back and Third Stage were delayed — but the patience paid off. Boston's first four albums all reached the Top 10 in the U.S. and internationally.

The most commercially successful single of Scholz's career came with "Amanda," from Third Stage (1986). Written by Scholz, it became the only Boston song to reach number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, holding the top spot for two weeks in November 1986. It also hit number one in Canada and on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.

Today, Scholz remains Boston’s primary songwriter and guitarist, as well as the sole remaining original member. Though he once disliked being called the “mad scientist in the basement,” he now admits it wasn’t far from the truth.

"The fact is I do work in a basement. So that part of it is accurate. A scientist? I do have a couple of degrees. Whether that makes me a scientist or not I'm not so sure. What I do is I like to design things—gadgetry, things people called 'wizardry.' Mad? I suppose some people would think so. So I suppose it's not altogether undeserved."

With a seventh Boston album still rumored to be in the works, the basement studio may not have heard the last of Scholz.

The Rise of 'Salvaged Stays' and the U.S. Hotels Leading the Trend

Tue, 03/10/2026 - 11:12am

Some travelers chase sunsets. Others chase Michelin stars. Lately, I have noticed a different travel obsession taking hold: People are chasing stories.

That craving for places with a past is fueling what travel researchers are calling “salvaged stays,” a growing trend where historic buildings are carefully repurposed into hotels. Think former train stations, banks, schools, and even prisons that now welcome travelers with plush beds and polished lobbies. According to Hotels.com’s travel trends report, interest in these types of properties has surged as travelers look for experiences that combine heritage, sustainability, and character.

Instead of staying in a cookie cutter hotel that could exist in any city, travelers are increasingly choosing accommodations with architectural stories built into the walls. In other words, the building itself becomes part of the destination.

Explore the latest travel stories and updates by subscribing to our newsletter.

Why “Salvaged Stays” Are One of the Biggest Travel Trends Right Now

The concept behind salvaged stays is surprisingly simple. Rather than constructing a brand new hotel, developers restore historic buildings and transform them into modern accommodations while preserving original design elements.

Travel platforms say this approach is resonating with travelers who want meaningful experiences instead of generic stays. Hotels.com notes that travelers today are not just looking for a room but “a story to tell,” whether that story involves sleeping in a converted train station or relaxing in a former courthouse.

There is also a sustainability angle. Repurposing historic buildings avoids demolition and reduces construction waste, while preserving architecture that might otherwise disappear. For travelers who care about environmental impact, these hotels offer a way to support adaptive reuse without sacrificing comfort.

Two U.S. Hotels That Perfectly Capture the Salvaged Stay Movement

While salvaged stays exist all over the world, two standout properties in the United States highlight why this trend is catching fire.

Union Station Nashville Yards, Tennessee

Union Station Nashville Yards is one of the most dramatic examples. The building originally served as a bustling railroad station in the late nineteenth century, welcoming travelers arriving in Nashville during the golden age of train travel.

Today, the restored structure operates as a hotel that still carries the grandeur of its original purpose. Vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, and Romanesque architecture remain intact, creating a sense of stepping into another era. According to travel data from Hotels.com, interest in this property has surged as travelers search for stays with distinctive architectural history.

Nine Orchard Hotel, New York City

Another American standout is Nine Orchard Hotel in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The property occupies a restored bank building that dates back to the early twentieth century.

The renovation preserved many of the original details, including dramatic stone columns and historic interiors, while transforming the space into a boutique hotel. The result feels simultaneously grand and intimate, which is exactly the appeal of salvaged stays.

For a traveler exploring New York, checking into a former bank vault turned luxury suite has a certain cinematic charm.

View this post on Instagram New Salvaged Hotels Opening Across the United States

The trend is not slowing down. In fact, several upcoming projects suggest salvaged stays will only grow more popular. One example is Populus Seattle, which opened in 2025 after transforming a historic warehouse into a modern hotel. Another anticipated property is Fairmont New Orleans, which will occupy a restored bank building.

Developers increasingly see historic structures as opportunities rather than obstacles. These buildings often occupy prime locations in city centers and feature architectural details that would be nearly impossible to recreate today. From a traveler’s perspective, these hotels offer something new in a hospitality landscape that can sometimes feel predictable.

Your next trip starts here—get curated travel stories when you sign up for our newsletter.

A Traveler’s Takeaway

I used to think the best hotel was the one with the biggest pool or the best breakfast buffet. Now I am convinced it might simply be the one with the best story. Salvaged stays invite travelers to step into a building that has already lived a life before welcoming guests. They prove that history does not have to sit behind museum glass. Sometimes it can be experienced between check in and checkout.

So the next time you book a trip, consider skipping the anonymous hotel tower and choosing a place where the walls have something to say. You might just discover that the building itself becomes the most memorable part of your journey.

'Bridgerton' Star Phoebe Dynevor Teases What's in Store For Her Grand Wedding

Tue, 03/10/2026 - 11:10am

Phoebe Dynevor is ready to be a bride, with the Bridgerton star having given some insight into what can be expected of her future nuptials. The actor recently appeared at Paris Fashion Week sporting a new look and an outfit that's a nod to her bridal era.

Appearing in a custom look at the Louis Vuitton AW26 show in Paris, Dynevor stunned fans with a sleek, short bob that suited her to a T. She paired her new haircut with a modern and chic look, wearing black trousers, matching heels, a Louis Vuuton suitcase purse, and a flowing halter-neck blouse.

She revealed that when it comes to style, she told British Vogue, "I’m not into trends. I like things to be simple and chic, like a tailored jean or a nice shoe. I’ve found out what works for me, and stuck to it."

Her ensemble for Paris Fashion Week had a hidden teaser for her upcoming "I Do", with her stating, "Without revealing too much, it’s a little nod to the year of my wedding." The draped silk blouse is a big hint, with Dynevor saying it's certainly "white" but will also have a bit of "Grecian" style.

The Bridgerton star hasn't given away any major details of what can be expected or the designer who will be behind her wedding dress. Based on her comments, fans can likely expect a design that's soft, elegant, and highlights her features.

Dynevor got engaged to producer and actor Cameron Fuller, with outlets confirming the news on May 7, 2024, just a day after the 2024 Met Gala. She appeared at the event wearing a bezel-set oval diamond engagement ring in a gold setting, which paired with her pale pink Victoria Beckham gown.

The actor and Fuller kept their relationship relatively low-key until they were spotted attending the Wimbledon tennis tournament in London in July 2023. They later appeared together as a couple on several occasions. Months after the news of their engagement, Dynevors' sister revealed he popped the question while on a family holiday in the English countryside, "at the Cotswolds." She did confirm the Bridgerton star "was crying her eyes out."

‘NCIS: Origins’ Sneak Peek Reveals the 12-Hour Crisis That Proved Gibbs Was Meant to Lead (Exclusive)

Tue, 03/10/2026 - 11:00am

NCIS: Origins takes us back to the moment in time when Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Austin Stowell) realized he had what it takes to become a team leader.

Actually, it wasn’t a moment, but a 12-hour period at headquarters when Gibbs was forced to take charge when a Marine captain showed up at the NIS office in Camp Pendleton exhibiting symptoms of a fatal virus, forcing NIS into lockdown.

The marine captain tried to tell Gibbs that he was attacked, but he passed out. Acting on intel, it was assumed he had contracted a lethal virus, and panic spread, forcing Gibbs to show he had all the right stuff.

But before that, Kowalski got on Gibbs’ case about that very ability, questioning if he had the talent. Watch the exclusive video to see the scene.

NCIS: Origins "Lean On Me" (1:20)

“Hey, kid!,” Kowalski (Michael Harney) calls Gibbs. “I’m calling Kowalski cocktails for tonight. Make sure everyone knows.”

“Can you have Mary Jo do it?” Gibbs asks, holding up paperwork. “I’m trying to get this thing wrapped up.”

To which Kowalski says, “Right, sorry to bother you. I thought you had leadership goals. “

“What?” Gibbs asks.

Kowalski continues, “I thought you wanted to be a team leader someday.”

Gibbs asks, “What is being team leader have to do with telling people about drinks?”

Then Mike Franks (Kyle Schmid) walks by and Kowalski tells him the same thing, “I’m calling Kowalski cocktails for tonight. Make sure everyone knows.”

And Mike, who is headed home to meet a TV repairman, yells on his way out the door, “Listen up people, Kowalski cocktails tonight. Gail call Wheeler let him know. Giddyap. Who wants cocktails? I’ll see you there.”

Then Kowalski says to Gibbs, “Right there, see that. Team leader takes significant information and acts on it. I didn't realize that wasn't something you're interested in.”

You can tell Gibbs is bothered when he responds, “I didn't say that.”

Then Gibbs reveals his thoughts, saying, "Back then, I didn't know if I had what it took to be a team leader but I figured I'd go to drinks that night and put it out of my head. That's not what happened because that night was about to become one of the craziest 12-hour runs in NIS history. After that night, when Kowalski looked out his window, he’d never see me the same again.”

Harvey Weinstein Says Gwyneth Paltrow ‘Stabbed’ Him in the Back by Making Sexual Harassment Allegations

Tue, 03/10/2026 - 10:56am

Former film producer Harvey Weinstein has given his first interview since serving time in prison, and he's accusing Gywneth Paltrow of stabbing him in the back.

Weinstein, who founded Miramax and The Weinstein Company, was first accused by over 80 women in Hollywood of sexual assault and rape in October 2017, PEOPLE reported. A New York jury found him guilty on two counts of criminal sexual assault, but not guilty on three other charges, which included predatory sexual assault, the piece continued.

But since then, Weinstein has stayed relatively mum as he's stayed behind bars at Rikers. That all changed on Tuesday, when a bombshell interview with The Hollywood Reporter's Maer Roshan shared a series of revealing chats with Weinstein, who is confined to his cell for 23 hours a day due to safety concerns. He also has tremendous health issues, ranging from diabetes and a heart operation to cancer and spinal stenosis, which keeps him in a wheelchair. But one topic that Weinstein didn't stay quiet on is Paltrow, who starred in Miramax's Oscar-winning hit Shakespeare in Love.

What Does Weinstein Have to Say About Gwyneth Paltrow?

Paltrow previously accused Weinstein of sexual harassment in a 2017 New York Times piece. At the time, her then-fiancé, Brad Pitt, famously threatened Weinstein after he learned Weinstein had sexually harassed her. Recalling the moment in the Reporter interview, Weinstein said she "stabbed him in the back."

"Because she was a good friend of mine. I don’t know what drove her to do what she did. To make such a big deal over nothing. I walked out of a nice meeting with her and said, 'How about a massage?' And she just went, 'No, I don’t think so.' I got the message. I never put my hands on her. She told Brad Pitt. Brad Pitt came to me and said, 'Don’t do anything like that with my girl.' I said, 'Don’t worry, Brad. I got it.' But then Gwyneth goes on Howard Stern and The New York Times and makes a big deal about it all. She knows that nothing happened. But this person who was a friend, who owes her career to me, just stabs me in the back. She wanted to be part of the crowd. I won’t forgive her for that," Weinstein shared.

Weinstein later went on to say that "I’m just going to say Rosanna Arquette, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie — they just exaggerated. They wanted to be part of the club. And they destroyed me."

Paltrow has not yet responded to Weinstein's statements in the Reporter interview.

Fans React To Sterling K. Brown's Explanation For Keeping Sons In Public Eye: 'D—n'

Tue, 03/10/2026 - 10:47am

Paradisestar Sterling K. Brownrecently spoke to Dax Shepard on Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast about his decision to keep his sons in the public eye, and his comments have many fans reflecting on racial privilege and their own biases.

Brown's episode of Armchair Expert aired February 23, but a recent post by Buzzfeedhas stirred up more recent attention. Per that post, Brown explained, "It's interesting because you have two girls; I have two boys. Your children are obviously white; my children are Black. I feel like the more I put them on social, the safer they are."

Brown continued, "Any proximity that Black boys can have to some sort of celebrity or access... I'm trying to make sure that they make it home. That’s really it."

In response, fans, particularly white fans, have been acknowledging that they'd never considered this aspect of celebrities deciding to have their children in the public eye.

One commenter wrote, "D—n, this made me realize how ignorant I really am. I regularly silently judge celebrities for putting their children in the public eye, without considering how being white allows me to believe it's a choice for everyone."

Another comment read, "Wow... I never thought of this particular privilege? Goodness."

The comments on Buzzfeed's post have echoed those sentiments, with one person saying, "Read through the slides, his mentality is enlightening. 🔥"

BIPOC commenters have also been weighing in, with one comment saying, "He’s right and sometimes even with that, they’re STILL in danger!" and another voicing, "The game was never designed to be fair. So we must THINK, outside the box. Well done @sterlingkbrown ✊🏿."

Brown's insights were shared in conversation with Shepard’s decision to keep his daughters' images out of public view. Shepard had shared, "I don’t want you to know what my daughters look like. You can see them on the sidewalk, you know a lot about me and them, you could act as if you know us… That could be tricky for an 8-year-old to navigate."

Both perspectives have led to deeper conversations and reflections from fans, with many voicing appreciation for both points of view.

One of the Best Boardwalks In the U.S. Is Perfect In or Off Season

Tue, 03/10/2026 - 10:46am

If you grow up in Philadelphia, South New Jersey shore points are the top place to be. As a family, we spent summer after summer hanging out in Wildwood and Cape May, bouncing between the historic towns and the electric boardwalk. I remember when the show Jersey Shore came out, I was floored they weren't talking about either of those beach havens. Fast forward a few decades and my husband and I landed in a more central New Jersey town that's actually closer to the more northern beaches.

When we started to explore our surroundings, we ended up on a whim taking our then-5-year-old son to Point Pleasant for a beach day trip. Much to our surprise, the boardwalk was a smaller, more manageable version of the ones we grew up going to.

Currently, Point Pleasant's Jenkinson's Boardwalk is one of 20 nominees for Reader's Choice: America's Best Boardwalk on USA Today. And in my humble opinion, it should make at least the top five.

@favorite_findings

Jenkinson’s Amusement Park on the boardwalk has so many options for the little guys to ride! Make sure you during the week for short lines or no lines! Around Easter every year, they have their biggest sale of the year (Buy one $50 ride card- 50 credits, get one free). #jenkinsons #jenkinsonsboardwalk #jenkinsonsamusmentpark #pointpleasant #pointpleasantbeach #nj #newjersey #downtheshore #downtheshorevibes #downtheshore☀️ #beach #boardwalk #pointpleasantbeachnj #pointpleasantbeachnewjersey #pointpleasantnj #pointpleasantnewjersey #njshore #newjerseyshore #kid #kids #njmom #njmoms #ride #rides #activity #activities #activityideasforkids #activitiesfortoddlers #activitiesforkids

♬ original sound - TalkthatShhhh What to Love About Point Pleasant

The beach and boardwalk are a genuinely great experience. Like most New Jersey beaches, you'll need to purchase beach tags to get onto the sand for the day. While a lot of folks complain about it, I'm actually all for it. The beaches are kept pretty pristine as a result.

Jenkinson's Boardwalk stretches from residential to commercial areas, and there is no shortage of fun things to do.

Amusements

Opening weekend begins on March 14 and will stay consistently open daily from the 28th to the end of the season. There are rides and attractions for all ages, from bumper cars to a spinning coaster. It's a small amusement park that gives off a carnival atmosphere.

Games

Perhaps my family's favorite things about the boardwalk are the arcades all along it. We've spent many hours working our way through them, and believe me, it can get busy. But typically there is a lot for everyone to do, and things move very quickly.

Mini Golf

Every Father's Day my son and I take my husband to go mini golfing. There are two options, both of which are a great time: Lighthouse Point Mini Golf and Castaway Cove Mini Golf. The Castaway Cove option is aboard a "shipwreck," where you can choose between two experiences. We've done each and they were equally fun, but on hot days the lower deck is particularly nice and shaded.

Jenkinson's Aquarium

This small but truly gorgeous aquarium has so much to explore. There is a collection of exotic fish, friendly penguins, adorable seals, and more.

Related: Midwest Shore Named Among World's Best 'One-of-a-Kind' Beaches Thanks to This Quirky Feature

Of course, there are tons of shops and eateries to nosh on all day. While the rides are closed in the off-season, the arcades and shops are largely open, and we've made a tradition of visiting before the crowds of tourists arrive.

The boardwalk is always hosting seasonal events that offer families great deals. For instance, on Father's Day, dads can snag free rounds of mini golf, comped tickets to the aquarium, and enjoy discounts on rides.

Unlike Wildwood's truly epic boards, Point Pleasant feels very family-focused and doable, especially for families with young children. It makes for a fabulous seaside weekend getaway.

New Easter Candy at Costco Is a Chocolate Lover’s Dream

Tue, 03/10/2026 - 10:46am

If you have a sweet tooth, Easter might just be one of your favorite seasons of the year. From chocolate bunnies to peanut butter eggs and decadent assortments, it can be hard to decide which treat to grab first. Costco’s latest lineup is only making that decision more difficult with its fun mix of seasonal sweets.

One standout spotted in stores is the Lindt Gold Bunny Milk Chocolate Selection, priced at $17.99. The festive 51-piece assortment includes individually wrapped milk chocolate eggs along with lambs, chicks, and Lindt’s signature gold bunnies. It’s a mix that works just as well in Easter baskets as it does on each plate at the table for a sweet holiday touch.

TikTok creator @costcocove recently shared a closer look at several Easter candy finds on March 8:

@costcocove

Check out the Easter candy at Costco! 🐣 The Reese’s eggs are my fav 😋 #easter #chocolatebunny #eastercandy #costcocove #costco

♬ Snack Time - Lots of rooms

Chocolate lovers will find plenty to get excited about in this lineup. A 42-ounce bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs is $17.99. The candy-coated chocolate eggs are a spring classic that work just as well for snacking as they do baked into cookies or brownies for a festive twist. Another familiar favorite is the Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs pack, which includes 65 individually wrapped pieces for $13.99. They are perfect for filling baskets or keeping on hand if you love the classic chocolate-and-peanut-butter combo.

Several other chocolate assortments round out the lineup. A large bag of Kit Kat Bunnies includes about 160 bunny-shaped pieces for $13.99, making them easy to share at the office, add to lunchboxes, or set out for spring get-togethers. There’s also a Ghirardelli Chocolate Bunny assortment ($13.59) wrapped in bright spring colors, featuring flavors like milk chocolate, caramel milk chocolate, sea salt caramel milk chocolate, and sea salt caramel dark chocolate.

For anyone who prefers something fruity instead of chocolate, there are also Starburst Jellybeans, available in a generous 54-ounce bag priced at $9.99. The colorful jellybeans are perfect for filling plastic eggs, adding to Easter baskets, or simply keeping a bowl of candy on the counter throughout the season.

Easter Candy Is One of Spring’s Most Popular Seasonal Traditions

Chocolate bunnies, jelly beans, and candy eggs become familiar sights each spring as Easter approaches. According to the National Confectioners Association, Easter remains one of the biggest candy-buying holidays in the United States. In fact, seasonal holidays like Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween, and the winter holidays together account for about 62% of annual confectionery sales.

With so many classic Easter sweets now appearing on Costco shelves, the biggest challenge might be deciding which ones to pick up first.

Cheryl Ladd Reveals Why She Almost Declined 'Charlie’s Angels' After Farrah Fawcett’s Exit

Tue, 03/10/2026 - 10:40am

Cheryl Ladd almost didn't join Charlie's Angels, admitting that she wasn't sure how fans would react to her replacing the iconic Farah Fawcett after the first season.

In an interview with Woman's World, published on March 5, the actress said she had mixed feelings about joining the series at first and initially told executive producer Aaron Spelling, "No, thank you."

"He called me and said, ‘Cheryl, I want you to replace Farrah. I want you to come in and be on the show,” she shared, adding, “And I said, ‘Oh, thank you, but no thank you. I appreciate it, but no.’ I’m sure he was quite upset with me, because he had given me work before and just didn’t understand."

Ladd said that Spelling "went off and looked at hundreds of girls" to replace Fawcett, but had no luck. He called Ladd back and said, "‘I can’t find the girl I want. I want you, Cheryl. Just come in and talk to me?’ So I did.”

However, Ladd detailed her reasoning behind her hesitations, having told Spelling, "I sat across the desk from him in his office and I said, ‘Aaron, what would I play? Nobody can go in there and try to be Farrah Fawcett or try to be the new Farrah Fawcett. What would I play?’”

She continued, “He said, ‘What do you mean?’ and I said, ‘I don’t know. Could I be funny?’ And he said, ‘Why couldn’t you be funny?’ That was interesting. Then I said, ‘If I was a rookie, I could make mistakes.’ And he said, ‘I love that.’"

Spelling then suggested that Ladd portray Fawcett's character, Jill Munroe's little sister, Kristine "Kris" Munroe. Ladd loved the idea, which helped her to fully embrace the role and make the character her own.

"And this is Aaron’s absolute genius; he said, ‘What if you’re Jill’s little sister, so you’re already part of the family?’ And then I said, ‘You have an actress.’ Now I knew who Kris Munroe was going to be and how to play something that wasn’t trying to be Farrah, other than the fact that Kris looked up to her big sister and thought she was wonderful and I got to love her with everyone else," she shared.

Ladd's role would become one of the defining moments of her career. She remained on the series through its fifth and final season, which concluded in 1981.

Tue, 03/10/2026 - 10:34am

Ten years after her big win on America's Got Talent, Grace VanderWaal has returned to social media to update her fans on some things.

Putting your health first is critical, they say, and that's just what the singer, 22, says she's doing ahead of her scheduled appearances on Natalie Jane's tour.

"Hi everyone, it’s been a bit. Im happy to be back and talk to yall," VanderWaal wrote on Instagram March 9. "I unfortunately will not be going on the Natalie Jane tour due to mental health."

Fans have voiced their support for VanderWaal's rare update into her personal life in the comments section of her post. "This made me feel whole. “Can’t yet find the words. I love you mommy. So much. I wake up and want to call you. I don’t know how to move forward without you. I love you,” Grace captioned an Instagram carousel on October 21.

Conan O’Brien Admits 'Hot Ones' Made Him Realize Late-Night TV Was in Trouble

Tue, 03/10/2026 - 10:15am

Over the past year, late-night TV has changed due to ratings, higher-ups' intervention, and politics. Conan O'Brien revealed that his appearance on Hot Ones, which garnered a record number of views, was a wake-up call on the upsetting fate of late-night talk shows.

On the road to hosting the 2026 Oscars, O'Brien spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about his guest appearance on theSean Evans YouTube series in 2024. By then, O'Brien had already said his final goodbye to Late Night with Conan O'Brien in June 2021. The former host admits that his guest appearance is what made him realize late-night TV was in serious trouble.

"That was the moment the scales fell from my eyes," O’Brien told The Hollywood Reporter.

"If a guy can do World Series numbers with overhead that looked, to me, to be about $600, and you have every big star lining up to do his show or Chicken Shop Date … that’s when I profoundly understood that late-night shows are in trouble."

There's no denying that O'Brien's guest appearance was one for the record books. His comedic antics, flamboyant reactions to spice, and his own tie-in jokes garnered over 15 million views. It became Hot Ones's most-watched video of all-time.

Related:

O'Brien's feeling of dread and trouble on the horizon wasn't a far-fetched reality when the cancellation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbertwas announced, as well as the brief pulling ofJimmy Kimmel Live! following the death of Charlie Kirk. The former host admits that the genre of TV would go through changes, but dislikes political interference.

"I’m of the mind that yes, these shows are going away and will become something else," said O’Brien. "But I don’t like when other malign forces intervene, because they’re trying to curry favor. That pisses me off."

It was also revealed by Colbert that O'Brien has been an optimistic voice for him over the past year. He even urged his former host "to quit for years" and told him the truth of "there’s a lot of fun to be had when this is over, so don’t feel like you need to stay." Colbert admits it somewhat hurt him at the time, but he knew "he was just being kind."

Breeze Airways Launches Six New Flights—And One is $39

Tue, 03/10/2026 - 10:10am

If you’re looking for a spring getaway that won't break the bank, your options just expanded. Breeze Airways, the Utah-based low-cost carrier, is currently in the midst of a major growth spurt, launching six new routes and touching down in two brand-new cities between March 6 and March 13, 2026.

The expansion is a significant win for West Coast travelers and Florida residents alike, with introductory fares starting as low as $39 one-way.

For those in the Southeast, the most notable addition is a new intra-Florida connection. Starting March 12, Breeze will begin nonstop service between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Pensacola (PNS). The flight, which clocks in at just over an hour and a half, will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays.

By adding this route, Breeze is taking on ultra-low-cost competitors like Spirit and Frontier, but with a twist: the airline prides itself on its "no-change or cancellation fees" and the use of smaller, more comfortable aircraft like the Airbus A220-300.

The carrier is also making a splash in Northern California and the Mountain West. This week marks the debut of service to California Redwood Coast-Humboldt County Airport (ACV), serving the Arcata and Eureka regions for the first time.

  • Las Vegas (LAS): Launched March 11 (Wednesdays and Saturdays)
  • Burbank (BUR): Launching March 12 (Thursdays and Sundays)

Additionally, Breeze is returning to Provo, Utah (PVU) with flights to Las Vegas starting March 13, and has already kicked off a daily nonstop service between Las Vegas and Orange County (SNA) as of March 6.

“Arcata-Eureka is exactly the kind of underserved market our airline set out to serve,” said David Neeleman, founder and CEO of Breeze Airways. He added that the airline is confident "new guests will enjoy their enhanced travel experience onboard one of our brand-new Airbus A220 aircraft."

The $39 Sweet Spot

While Breeze offers several fare tiers, the $39 "No Flex Fare" is the headline-stealer for several of these new routes, including:

  • Burbank to/from Provo
  • Burbank to/from Arcata-Eureka
  • Las Vegas to/from Provo
  • Las Vegas to/from Orange County

As the airline hits profitability and continues to add to its fleet of 50+ Airbus A220s, this week’s expansion is just a glimpse of a larger plan to connect smaller, underserved markets with major leisure hubs.

'One Piece' Season 2 Ending Explained: Who is Mr. 0? Is Luffy related to Gol D. Roger?

Tue, 03/10/2026 - 10:08am

Netflix's One Piece is one of the rare adaptations that have managed to satisfy fans of the original manga series. Season One turned out to be highly successful for the streaming platform, and with the way it ended, fans were curious to know about Season 2. After a wait of three long years, the sophomore edition of the Netflix series has finally arrived, and it seems fans are excited to see their favorite characters back on the screen.

Adventure has always been at the heart of One Piece, but the second season of the live-action adaptation ends with something even bigger: destiny. After traveling through strange islands, fighting bizarre enemies, and picking up unforgettable allies, Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates arrive at a turning point in their journey. The finale doesn’t just wrap up the events on Drum Island. It quietly plants seeds that could shape the future of the series for many seasons to come.

If the first season was about forming a crew, Season 2’s ending is about realizing that the Straw Hats are stepping into a much larger conflict.

'One Piece' Season 2 Ending Explained: Who is Mr. 0?

One of the most captivating moments in One PieceSeason 2 arrives right at the end of the final episodes. After enduring so much during the brutal fights and all the chaos that takes place on Drum Island, the show goes on to drop a bombshell. If you thought that Wapol's defeat and the Chopper joining the Straw Hats were the end, you are wrong. During the course of eight episodes, everyone gets really curious about the shadowy figure giving orders from behind the scenes.

Yes, we are talking about Mr. 0. Initially, it was believed that the shadowy figure might not reveal himself this season, but the makers had different plans.

Netflix

For most of the season of the Netflix series, Mr. 0 exists only as a voice behind the curtain. Members of the secretive criminal group Baroque Works receive orders from him, but nobody seems to know who he really is. Even his own organization operates through code names, which adds to the mystery surrounding the leader. This secrecy is not accidental—it is part of a much larger plan.

When the truth finally surfaces, it changes everything in the most shocking way possible.

Mr. 0 is actually Sir Crocodile, one of the most powerful pirates in the world and a member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, a group of elite pirates officially recognized by the World Government.

This revelation immediately raises the stakes for the story moving forward. Crocodile is not just another pirate looking for treasure. He is much more than that and is considered a master strategist who works more like a crime boss than a traditional villain. As Mr. 0, he secretly runs Baroque Works, a massive underground organization made up of agents with strange code names like Mr. 1, Mr. 2, Miss Valentine, and Miss All Sunday. Each member works in pairs and follows orders without knowing their leader's true identity.

This clever structure allows Crocodile to stay hidden while controlling everything from behind the scenes. What makes Crocodile especially dangerous is that he doesn’t rely only on brute force. He prefers deception, manipulation, and long-term schemes. He is way different than what Luffy is. In many ways, he represents the darker version of a pirate’s ambition.

'One Piece' Season 2 Ending Explained: Is There a Hidden Link Between Luffy and Gol D. Roger?

Many fans of One Piece have long wondered if Monkey D. Luffy has some connection to the famous pirate king, Gol D. Roger. Both characters share the same mysterious middle initial, “D.” Because of that, people often ask if Luffy might actually be related to Roger. The live-action Season 2 does not give a clear answer, but it does hint at something interesting.

Near the end of the story on Drum Island, there is a small but important moment between Dr. Kureha and Dalton. They are standing together and talking about Luffy. When Kureha hears his full name, she reacts curiously. She repeats the “D.” in his name with a knowing look. The show does not explain why she reacts like that, but the moment feels meaningful. It suggests that she may know something about the name that others do not.

This scene does not confirm that Luffy is related to Roger. However, it reminds viewers that the “D.” in their names might be important. In the world of One Piece, several characters share this same initial. Over time, the story has hinted that the “D.” carries a deeper meaning. Many fans believe it connects to something called the Will of D. People who have the “D.” in their names often show a similar spirit. They value freedom and refuse to accept unfair authority. They also tend to challenge powerful systems and inspire others around them.

Both Luffy and Roger clearly share this kind of personality. Roger became the Pirate King because he sailed the seas without fear and followed his own path. He chased adventure and freedom until the very end of his life. Luffy shows that same attitude. He wants to become the Pirate King, but for him, the title means being the freest person on the sea.

The series also reminds us of Roger’s execution at the beginning of the story. In that moment, Roger did something unexpected. Instead of letting the age of pirates end, he inspired a whole new era. His final words pushed people to search for the legendary treasure known as the One Piece.

Because of that moment, many believe Roger knew that someone would eventually continue his dream. It might not have to be a family member. Instead, it could be someone who carries the same spirit and determination. This is where Luffy comes in. Even though he was born years after Roger’s death, he shows the same fearless attitude. He refuses to give up on his dreams, no matter how difficult things become. He also brings people together in the same way Roger once did.

One Piece. Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy in season 2 of One Piece. Cr. Courtesy of Netflix © 2026

Netflix

That is why the conversation between Kureha and Dalton feels so important. It quietly reminds viewers that the “D.” might be especially meaningful for certain characters. The show does not explain everything yet, but it hints that this mystery will matter in the future.

In the end, Luffy might not be related to Roger by blood. The connection could be something deeper. The “D.” might represent a shared will, a powerful spirit that refuses to be controlled. For now, the story leaves the mystery open. But the hints suggest that Luffy could be the one who carries Roger’s dream forward and shakes the world once again.

What will 'One Piece' Season 3 be about?

Netflix has already revealed that One Piece will be returning for the third season, and the story is expected to move toward the famous Alabasta arc. This part of the story is very important because it introduces bigger dangers and new characters for the Straw Hat crew.

As the crew travels closer to the desert kingdom of Alabasta, a powerful enemy begins to prepare for them. That enemy is Crocodile, the leader of the secret criminal group called Baroque Works. Crocodile already has a plan to take control of the kingdom, and the Straw Hats could ruin everything for him. Because of this, he and his agents start getting ready to stop them before they can interfere. The Alabasta storyline is set in a nation that takes inspiration from Middle Eastern culture.

The setting includes deserts, royal politics, and a growing conflict inside the kingdom. This makes the story feel larger and more serious compared to earlier adventures. Many fan-favorite characters from the original story are expected to appear when the series reaches this arc.

One Piece. Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha in season 2 of One Piece. Cr. Casey Crafford/Netflix © 2026

One of the biggest highlights will be the fight between Monkey D. Luffy and Crocodile. Their battle is one of the most famous fights in the entire series. Crocodile is extremely powerful and dangerous, which makes the challenge very difficult for Luffy. The fight will likely be one of the most dramatic moments in the season.

Other important battles should also appear. For example, Roronoa Zoro is expected to face Daz Bonez, also known as Mr. 1. This is another fight that fans remember very well. It pushes Zoro to his limits and shows how strong he is becoming as a swordsman.

Another key part of the story will focus on Nico Robin. At first, she is connected to Baroque Works and Crocodile. However, her story slowly reveals that there is more to her character than it seems. As the events of the Alabasta conflict unfold, her role in the story becomes clearer. As a result, many fans believe the season could end with Robin becoming part of the Straw Hat crew. Her joining the group is a major moment in the larger story, and it would introduce a completely new dynamic within the team.

Overall, Season 3 of the live-action series is likely to be bigger and more intense than the previous seasons. With the Alabasta conflict, powerful enemies, and the arrival of important new characters, the story will take the Straw Hats into one of their most memorable adventures.

Stylish, comfy, and practical, this patio set will transform your outdoor space into a charming getaway that you’ll never want to stop hanging out in. Featuring brown wicker all around, the matching chairs and table set will instantly elevate your space with a coastal, beachy aesthetic, making it feel cozy and inviting.

The wicker is made from polyethylene (PE) rattan, which is a great affordable alternative to natural rattan that mimicks the look of the real deal. It’s also more practical compared to natural rattan, as it’s weather-resistant and low-maintenance.

The frame is crafted from rust-resistant steel, designed to withstand all weather conditions. Sturdy and durable, each chair has a 360-pound weight capacity. The chairs boast wide and tall armrests, ergonomically designed to support your arms. While the included back and seat cushions add a pop of color, they’re also incredibly comfortable to sit in. They’re filled with high-density sponge that’ll support your body as you sink into the chair. The cushion covers can be unzipped and taken off so you can wash them whenever they need a refresh.

Completing the set, the matching table, made from the same materials as the chair, has a tempered glass table top with a 70-pound weight capacity. It’s ideal for setting down food and drinks or putting decor on display without wobbling around.

You can place it on your porch, lawn, patio, deck, or even balcony, and it’ll seamlessly blend in with the rest of your furniture and decor thanks to its sleek design. The weight of the chairs and table combined is only 57.5 pounds, making the set easy to move around if you ever want to put it into storage.
