Lucy and Ricky Ricardo have been ranked television’s “Best Sitcom Couple” by TVLine. The fictional couple, played by the real-life couple Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz on the pioneering CBSsitcom from 1951 to 1957, beat out Archie and Edith Bunker (All in the Family), Mike and Carol Brady (The Brady Bunch), and the animated pair Marge and Homer Simpson (The Simpsons) for the top honor in the March 2026 ranking list.

TVLine noted that the Ricardos “set a high benchmark for the genre so early in the history of TV,” with Ball’s knack for  physical comedy and  Arnaz's “musical talent and motormouthed delivery.” The I Love Lucy lovebirds were also described as “a bicultural couple in an era when such things were usually frowned upon by TV executives.” All at a time when the real-life couple’s marriage was falling apart.

Network executives were against the couple at first

Ball and Arnaz, who married in 1940, were given pushback when it was suggested that the Cuban bandleader co-star in the 1950s sitcom alongside his wife.

In a 2011 interview with the Television Academy Foundation, the couple’s daughter, Lucie Arnaz, recalled that network executives were "absolutely" against her Cuban-born father as the fictional Lucy's husband.

"The networks, they were not going to let them do the show at all," Arnaz shared. "They said, 'Who's gonna believe that an all-American girl like you would be married to a Cuban?' … And my mother really was like. 'Wow, really? Okay, but see I am married to a Cuban.' So they had to go out and do this whole Vaudeville show to prove to CBS proved to the networks that people didn't think that at all. They thought they were great together.”

While the TV couple’s "mixed marriage" was considered controversial at the time, fans quickly grew to love the Ricardos.

I Love Lucy was a ratings hit. It was the most-watched U.S. TV series in four of its six seasons, and it was the first-ever show to end its broadcast run at the top spot on the Nielsen ratings, according to The Television Academy.

Fans asked the couple for marital advice

Lucy and Ricky Ricardo were such a great couple that fans went to the Arnazes for marital advice. In a vintage interview with the Quad-City Times, Desi Arnaz once revealed that he and Ball often received fan mail with requests for relationship advice.

“There are so many problems between a husband and a wife introduced in I Love Lucy that we have letters pouring in asking our advice,” the actor once said, per MeTV. “The show covers almost every situation. Many a good, honest husband-to-wife talk can avert many serious misunderstandings."

“Being able to see how silly some of the things we argue about, and having a sense of humor to laugh about them, is one of the most important factors in our marriage and our work,” the “Babalu” singer added at the time.

Arnaz and Ball’s marriage didn’t last; they divorced in 1960. And while they both went on to marry other people, the I Love Lucy stars remained intertwined for the rest of their lives.

During a 2025 interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Lucie Arnaz recalled her parents' final moments together not long before her father’s death in December 1986.

“My mother came down to visit my dad in Del Mar when he was sick,” she said. “And I ran and got as many VHS tapes as I could find. And they did sit there for a couple hours and look at old I Love Lucy shows and laugh and remember.”

The website Unclaimed Baggage documents all of the weird, valuable, or otherwise unexpected things baggage handlers find in lost luggage this year. Now, the website has released it's 2026 report, documenting everything that was uncovered in the bags of travelers from 2025.

“Each year, I am amazed at the treasures discovered in luggage and what it reveals about our society,” Bryan Owens, the company’s CEO, said in a press release. “After more than 55 years of reclaiming the lost and rejected for good, we often believe we’ve seen it all. But then we uncover something like a matching set of Samurai swords, a fully assembled robot, a Dolce & Gabbana jeweled jacket or gold-plated golf clubs, and we are reminded of why the annual ‘Found Report’ exists.”

According to the report, the weirdest finds included:

• Taxidermy deer form
• Frog purse
• Pre-WWWI U.S. Army bayonet
• Giant stuffed goose
• Long bone specimen
• Armadillo purse
• 12-pack case of sardines
• Fake skeleton
• Suitcase full of rat poison
• Feather bow tie

Sure, a skeleton in a suitcase has to be a shock, but there were some other oddities and noteworthy items that popped up on the list, including a fully assembled robot, a bionic knee (still can't figure out how this passenger got very far without that), and a custom set of diamond grills valued at $10,000!

Lost Valuables Can be Surprisingly Expensive

While I initially balked at the idea that someone could so easily lose these unusual (and expensive sounding) items while traveling, I was surprised to see that the report also contained a number of valuable items, some of them worth tens of thousands of dollars, including:

• White diamond earrings with an estimated retail value of $43,400
• A stainless steel Rolex with an estimated retail value of $35,000
• A Tosca bass clarinet with an estimated retail value of $17,500
• Elevare Skin RED Skin Care Device with an estimated retail value of $10,700

There were many other big ticket items on the list, which has to make you wonder who can afford to travel with (and then loose) some of these pricey items.

Not All Finds Are Unusual

While the unique items people lose in their luggage are really fun to talk about—like a jacket from WWII that was tucked away in someone's suitcase—there are some more common items that end up frequent fliers on the Lost Report (pun intended). These are the items that are found with the greatest frequency, and they include those travel staples like shirts (209,986 to be exact), pants (128,722), jewelry (57,623), and mobile phones (51,449).

I don't know about you, but reading this report really makes you have to wonder about all of the items that do make it to their destination, and what kind of secrets the average person has packed alongside their clothes and toiletries when they hit the road.

Harrison Ford has played heroes for half a century. But sitting across from Michael J. Fox on the set of Shrinking, the 82-year-old actor found himself genuinely humbled.

Ford stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live this week to promote Season 3 of the Apple TV+ comedy, and when Kimmel brought up Fox, Ford's legendary interview deflection disappeared. Fox guest stars this season as a man navigating life with Parkinson's disease, the same condition Ford's character, therapist Paul Rhoades, has lived with since the show began. Fox, diagnosed with Parkinson's in 1991, had stepped away from acting in 2020. His appearance in Shrinking marks his first live-action role in six years.

Ford said the two men had barely crossed paths before the show brought them together. 'We met in the past and I know Michael to say hello, but I hadn't really spent very much time with him,' he told Kimmel. That changed on set. Fox's willingness to join the cast, Ford said, 'means everything to me. It's really fantastic that he's willing to do that.'

He went further. 'His vitality, his intelligence, his quality, it's just so impressive,' Ford said. 'He's such an impressive person and he inspires all of us.' Then, with the dry timing audiences have come to expect from him, he added: 'He has such a great positive attitude all the time. It makes me ashamed of myself.'

Ford was equally direct about what Fox brings beyond the performance. 'He's a tremendous advocate for finding a cure for Parkinson's,' he said, 'and he has raised more money for Parkinson's research than anybody else.' Through the Michael J. Fox Foundation, which Fox established in 2000, that figure now exceeds $2 billion, making it the largest private funder of Parkinson's research in the world.

Fox had been moved by Ford's portrayal of Parkinson's on the show, calling it 'human' and 'accessible,' and reached out directly to series co-creator Bill Lawrence, his former Spin City collaborator, which set the guest star slot in motion. Season 3 debuted to a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes ahead of its January 28 premiere and now sits at 92%.

The praise for his castmates didn't end with Fox. Ford was equally warm about Jason Segel, his co-star and the show's co-creator. 'Very talented, hilarious, very smart, wonderful guy,' Ford said. 'I'm so lucky to have a chance to work with him.' That's quite a compliment coming from an actor not known for interview enthusiasm.

Kimmel, who told Ford that he and his wife watch the show every week, put it plainly: 'I can't believe Harrison Ford is on a TV show and we're so happy that you're on it because it really is great.'

Ford, who received the SAG-AFTRA Lifetime Achievement Award on March 1, was characteristically understated about his career when pressed. He said he has no favorite among his films, sincerely, he insisted, because the finished product is never quite what he experienced making it. 'When I did it, it was better than that,' he told Kimmel with a straight face. The making of a movie, he said, is 'where I get satisfied.'

But back on Fox, he seemed completely unguarded. 'What a treat,' he said, 'to get to know him and to work with him. He's just the greatest guy.'

What Has Holly Hunter Said About Her Star Trek Character?

Hunter has said she instantly knew she was attracted to the role of Nahla Ake, the half-Lanthanite captain of the USS Athena and the chancellor of Starfleet Academy.

“I was really drawn to the character as soon as I read her, and I think it's captivating to think about playing somebody who's over 400 years old,” Hunter told PEOPLE back in January. “Things shift in your mind. I can only imagine that your point of view and the world would be radically different after that much time has passed. I mean, things would fall away. Priorities would really announce themselves to you in a way that maybe they hadn't when you were 30 or 40. And I think a priority for Nala is play, to play, to actually have fun and to experience life viscerally and sensorially.”

Who Does Hunter Star Alongside in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy?

Hunter stars alongside legendary actor Paul Giamatti in the series. He plays a recurring villain, the half-Klingon pirate Nus Braka. Giamatti had nothing but raves about acting alongside Hunter.

“The first time I saw her curl up in her chair on the bridge, I just thought, ‘That's genius!” Giamatti told PEOPLE. “It says so much about the character and about the world and what it's going to be like. I just thought what a brilliant choice she was for the captain, and then everything she was doing was so great.”

Dancing with the Stars mirrorball winner, Robert Irwin, says opening up to his grief has allowed him to honor and connect with his father, Steve Irwin, in ways he never expected.

In an interview with Anderson Cooper, Irwin opened up like never before about finding the courage to fully sit with his sadness over his father’s passing. By confronting these feelings head-on, Irwin said he’s discovered a deeper connection to his dad and a new understanding of his own resilience.

"Strength and vulnerability are so important," Irwin said. "It's an epiphany I had in the last six months."

"When you actually feel it [grief] and allow yourself to feel it, it's different. I remember my whole life, I kept my dad alive thanks to my family. I had this footage, and I talked about him a lot. I felt like I'm doing all right."

Irwin continued, "But last year, I sort of addressed, 'am I doing all right,' or 'am I convincing myself so hard that I'm doing all right.' I didn't realize until I drilled down into it, there was a little extra chamber in there that hadn't been unlocked yet that I had to unlock."

He concluded, "I never really fully let myself sit in it. And I had this epiphany that I never said 'thank you' to my mom [Terri Irwin] for how she had gotten us through this time. So I started looking at grief through the lens of gratitude for the people around me that helped me through, and acknowledging within myself that it was okay, I never really processed it."

Irwin previously addressed his gratitude toward his mother, Terri, for her devotion to Steve and dedication to their family when he dedicated a performance to her on Dancing with the Stars. He and pro partner Whitney Carson danced a contemporary in her honor to the Phil Collins song "You'll Be in My Heart" during Season 34.

The performance encompassed all of Irwin's feelings of gratitude toward his mother. It ended with Terri joining her son on the ballroom floor for a simple spin and a tearful hug.

Steve Irwin died on September 4, 2006, at 44. Robert Irwin has one sister, Bindi Irwin, who is also a Dancing with the Stars mirrorball winner from Season 21.

Organizers are trying to soften the blow by claiming Meghan is doing this "effectively as a favour" through mutual friends. Cynics called it a classic PR move: frame the massive payday as a personal kindness that still involves a massive budget. “She doesn’t say explicitly Meghan is doing it for free but in advance of comments about “wow that must cost a lot” she says she doesn’t have that sort of money and that it’s “effectively as a favour” (but gross sales for this event would be like close to 1M). Travel + Leisure reports according to Airbnb, Hilo has become one of the top trending spring break destinations in the country. Search data from travel platforms like Kayak and Google Flights found that interest in the town has jumped significantly, with searches for Hilo up about 60 percent compared with last year. 

While Hawaii is always a dream vacation spot, Hilo’s rise in popularity may come as a surprise, especially since it’s far quieter and less resort-focused than places like Maui or Honolulu.

So why are spring breakers suddenly flocking to this lesser-known corner of the islands?

Why Hilo Is Trending Right Now

One major reason is simple: it’s more affordable than many other parts of Hawaii.

While Hawaii has developed a reputation as a luxury destination in recent years, the Big Island, and particularly Hilo, still offers more budget-friendly options. Accommodation, food, and activities are often cheaper here compared with the resort-heavy west coast of the island near Kailua-Kona.

Many busy airports across the U.S. have reported longer than normal wait times when it comes to passing through mandatory checkpoints due to staff shortages caused by a lack of a finalized budget for the agencies that keep our airspaces safe.

"Today, travelers are facing TSA lines of up to nearly three hours long at some major airports, causing missed flights and massive delays during peak travel," a member of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) told USA Today in a statement. "These frontline heroes received only partial paychecks earlier this month and now face their first full missed paycheck, leading to financial hardship, absences, and crippling staffing shortages."

While flights aren't exactly being delayed as a result of this staffing shortage yet, some passengers are missing their flights, and others are worried about how much worse things will get in the coming weeks when even more TSA employees are forced to look for other work in order to survive. Here's what an expert says you should do when it's your turn to head to the airport.

The TSA is well aware of how these delays are making it next to impossible for people to make their flights on time, which is why they are telling people to get to the airport earlier than normal. That's something that Lauren Gumport, VP of Communications and Brand at Faye Travel Insurance agrees with, and she suggests checking the website of the airport you're flying out of to see how early you should arrive, yes, even if that means getting there four of five hours ahead of your flight.

"While it’s not ideal, giving yourself extra buffer time is the best way to avoid missing your flight if security lines are unusually long," she says, adding that you can monitor airport wait times at home from the TSA app. "And if you’re going to be waiting, come prepared—bring a portable charger, download shows or movies ahead of time, and pack something to read."

You May Be Able to Rebook Your Flight

If I had travel plans right now, I think I'd probably cancel them and wait until things were either back to normal or until we've passed these next few peak travel weeks. But, according to Gumport, not everyone has that option and some airlines may not let you make last minute changes. "Flexibility really depends on the airline and the type of ticket purchased," she explains, adding that while some airlines may allow travelers to rebook or adjust flights, there's no universal policy. 

Travel Insurance Can Help Cover Costly Delays

You may feel like you're at the mercy of the TSA agents during this time, but Gumport says you may be able to protect yourself against a financial loss when it comes to longer wait times that can make you miss your flight. "Travel insurance can sometimes help when disruptions impact your trip," she says. "Policies vary by provider, but certain benefits may apply if airport disruptions and a partial government shutdown causes significant delays or missed flights."

And you may even be able to get your travel insurance carrier to help you get your vacation back on track in the future. "If disruptions at the airport significantly impact your trip, it may trigger trip delay, cancellation, or interruption benefits, depending on the policy," she says, adding that Faye Travel Insurance has a policy that helps travelers get reimbursed for non-refundable expenses under certain conditions, like if the aiport stops operating for more than six hours.

Your Travel Insurance May Even Provide Perks While You're Delayed

Gumport says that Faye also offers real-time inconvenience benefits. "If a flight is delayed more than three hours, policyholders get complimentary lounge access through the Faye app, and delays of more than six hours trigger $200 sent directly to a traveler’s phone wallet to help cover unforeseen expenses like meals or rebooking costs," she says

And that's not all. In situations where a traveler arrives at the airport at least two hours before departure but misses their flight due to unusually long TSA delays, Gumport says that same $200 inconvenience benefit can help cover the unexpected costs. "Arrival time can be proven with a Uber or taxi receipt, or parking stub."

There Are Ways to Avoid Long TSA Lines

While preparing can obviously make things go a little bit smoother, Gumport says that skipping the lines may help you avoid these problems altogether, which is why she suggests using "line-skipping options."

"Programs like TSA PreCheck or CLEAR can significantly reduce security wait times," according to Gumport, who says checking in online, using mobile boarding passes, and avoiding checked bags when possible can also help.

She also says that you can monitor many airport wait times via the TSA app. However, USA Today notes that the app may soon become a little less reliable, since the agents who are responsible for updating wait times may not be there much longer.

Lastly, Gumport says you can try to make your flight a little easier by choosing early morning options. "Airport congestion tends to build throughout the day, so the first flights out are often the least affected by delays and long lines."

And when it doubt, build a backup plan. If you can build extra buffer time into connections and avoid scheduling important tours or activities immediately after arrival in case your travel day runs long, you may find yourself in better shape to weather these delays.

The world is waking up today to a viral claim that actor Russell Brand is dead. By all accounts, however the Get Him to the Greek actor is still very much alive.

The former co-deputy director of the FBI, Dan Bongino, who is now back on the air, having returned to his media career and restarting his podcast, The Dan Bongino Show, in February, tweeted a pair of pictures on X (formerly Twitter) to his 7.4 million followers.

In one image, Brand can be seen sitting crisscross applesauce on a sofa, speaking on a panel with right-wing political activist, entrepreneur, and media personality Charlie Kirk. In the other, Bongino is seen wearing an FBI jacket and speaking with a member of the FBI Evidence Response Team.

“There won’t be another. One of the saddest days of my life. He was just different. And everyone who knew him, knew it. May God rest your soul,” Bongino wrote in the caption.

Bongino's post went up at 4:33 p.m. yesterday, March 10. A few hours later, at 7:41 p.m., JacksonClarke, an X user with 39,000 followers whose bio says he is the producer/owner of The Official Network, responded with the following.

“I can’t believe this is how I found out Russell Brand is dead,” Clarke wrote, retweeting Bongino’s post. 

“Wait… what? Is Russell Brand actually dead??” one user asked.

“@grok Is this news authentic?” another wrote.

“Damn RIPRussell Brand poor guy just couldn’t bear watching his ex wife fall in love with the son of Fidel Castro,” yet another wrote. 

Per USA Today, the claim is false. There are no reports of Brand falling ill or being hospitalized. There are no reports that Brand is dead. Bongino was referring to the death of Turning Point USA founder in his tweet and not Brand.

Kirk was assassinated on Sept. 10, 2025, at Utah ValleyUniversity in Orem, Utah. He was shot and killed while speaking at an event, CNN reported at the time.

Meanwhile, Brand is facing multiple sexual assault lawsuits.

On Feb. 24, the Forgetting Sarah Marshall actor pleaded not guilty to rape and sexual assault charges at the Southwark Crown Court in London. Per the BBC, two women are claiming Brand, 50, committed the alleged crimes in 2009. 

Last May, Brand pleaded not guilty to one count of indecent assault, two counts of rape, and another two for sexual assault, which alledgely happened between 1999 and 2005, and involve four women.

Neither Bongino nor Clarke has since posted responses to clear up any confusion.

HGTV star Nicole Curtis shared the eyebrow-raising explanation for using a racial slur after her show, Rehab Addict, was canceled.

In leaked, unused footage from her show, the home renovation expert exclaimed, "Oh, fart n----r!" when she made a mistake. She then quickly back-peddled, adding, "What the f---k was that, that I just said? Nick, you gotta, you gotta, can you kill that?"

HGTV officially canceled the show in February. And on Tuesday, March 10, Curtis, 49, appeared on The Breakfast Club with hosts DJ Envy, Jess Hilarious, and Charlamagne Tha God, to discuss the situation.

She explained that she often uses the terms "fart digger" and "fart knocker."

 "Do you have boys? Boys talk about farts all the time," Curtis said on the radio show. "OK, again, I can’t swear on my show. OK, so yes, I’ve made up these crazy words."

To that, Charlamagne pointed out, "Fart digger sounds like you're playing with a--holes all day. Why? That's another conversation. Why would you be digging in random a--es, digging for farts?"

Curtis admitted, "I don’t have a rhyme or reason of the words that I make up. I say nonsense stuff all the time."

Later, Curtis mentioned that she and her family "live in Detroit." But Charlamagne again pushed back, saying, "So your best friends are Black and you live in the hood. What are you trying to prove here when you keep saying you're from Detroit ... I'm trying to figure out what you are trying to say."

Ultimately, Curtis insisted that she doesn't use the N-word, or the R-word, for that matter. "I came here to have an open conversation and I didn't have to," she shared.

In February, HGTV canceled Rehab Addict and issued a statement about Curtis' use of the slur.

"Not only is language like this hurtful and disappointing to our viewers, partners, and employees—it does not align with the values of HGTV," the network said in a statement, per NBC News.

It added, "Accordingly, we have removed the series from all HGTV platforms. We remain dedicated to fostering a culture of respect and inclusion across our content and our workplace."

Former NYPD sergeant Joseph Giacalone tells Parade that the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie may have been handled differently if homicide investigators had been brought in from the start. While the case began as an involuntary disappearance, Giacalone notes that signs at the scene—including blood at the front door and other indications of a struggle—warranted immediate homicide-level attention.

"Cases that start off with an involuntary disappearance often end up as homicides," Giacalone tells Parade. "At the Sheriff’s own admission, there was a sign of a struggle, you have the blood at the front door and what is inside the home we have no idea. Injecting homicide investigators at the onset of cases like this can have a positive effect on the outcome of the case."

"The residence should have been maintained as a crime scene. A command post should have been established in the driveway to run the entire investigation. There is no time limit to hold a crime scene and there was no one else that needed access to the property. Everyone that comes in and out of that scene, should have been recorded on crime scene log: The time they arrived, who they were, why they were here, what did they do, and what time they left. I’m assuming that log exists or at least I hope it does," he explains.

Guthrie, 84, went missing on Sunday, Feb. 1. Authorities believe that she may have been abducted from her home in the middle of the night. Upon receiving a 911 call, the Pima County Sheriff's Department responded to Guthrie's home, which they eventually deemed a crime scene. However, there has been some criticism of how the case was handled from the beginning as the home wasn't secured on day one.

Homicide investigators, had they been called in from the beginning, would have managed the crime scene and collected forensic evidence. As Giacalone previously told me, the first hour after a person is reported missing is crucial. He believes that homicide investigators—who were brought in weeks later—would have been key, not only in the "golden hour," but in those early days of the investigation.

"Would it have made a difference? I don’t have a crystal ball, but I believe it would have helped. This just isn’t an isolated thing, but a nationwide issue. Bring your best in at the beginning and let them do their thing," Giacalone says.

If you’re heading to Epic Universe for spring break, you probably already know that "winging it" isn't an option. With the park hitting its first full spring season, crowd levels are projected at a wall-to-wall 10/10. However, new data from the experts at r/UniversalOrlando suggests that the "obvious" strategy might actually be costing you hours of ride time.

The findings come from a viral data analysis by the wait-time tracking app RideReady, which took a high-tech approach to the spring break rush. Instead of just guessing, the team replayed 20 actual park days (tracking data from Feb. 15 through March 7) through a proprietary ride-planning algorithm. By simulating thousands of possible "touring plans" against real-world wait time fluctuations, the data revealed a strategy that contradicts almost every "rope drop" guide currently on the internet.

The "Reverse" Strategy: Save the Ministry for Last

The most surprising finding from the study of 20 actual park days is that Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry should actually be your last stop of the day, not your first. Save it for the end, and you could walk onto one of the park’s most complex attractions.

The "Best DOW" (Day of the Week) to visit is currently Thursday, with an average 50-minute wait, while Tuesdays are the busiest at nearly an hour average across the park. Depending on your ticket type, here is the suggested flow:

With Early Park Admission (8 AM):

• Stardust Racers (formerly Starfall): Ride this while the coasters are waking up.
• Mine-Cart Madness: 20–90 min at 8 AM (compared to a 162-min peak at noon).
• Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge: Hit this by 9 AM before it balloons to 125+ min.
• Curse of the Werewolf: Knock this out before the 11 AM rush.
• Hiccup’s Wing Gliders: Ride before the "1 PM plateau" when the family crowds peak.

An Editor’s Pro-Tip: The Single Rider Advantage

I actually just visited Epic Universe during the busy President’s Day weekend in February, and I found that doing things in reverse can be a total game-changer if everyone else is heading straight for Super Nintendo World.

With Early Entry, I started with Ministry of Magic and had a mere 5-minute wait with Express Pass. From there, I moved to the Dark Universe for Monsters Unchained and Curse of the Werewolf with virtually no wait at all. By the time I hit Hiccup’s, the line was only 10–15 minutes.

My biggest secret? Single Rider lines. I used the single rider option for Mario Kart and Donkey Kong and was through both in about 15–20 minutes, even when the Express lines were massive.
