Singer and conductor Bobby McFerrin, best known for his global smash "Don't Worry, Be Happy," turns 76 on March 11. The song made music history in 1988 when it became the first a cappella track ever to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Released as the lead single from McFerrin’s album Simple Pleasures, "Don't Worry, Be Happy" became an unlikely pop phenomenon. Built entirely from McFerrin’s layered vocal parts, the cheerful track spent two weeks at the top of the Hot 100 and eventually logged 26 total weeks on the chart.

The song’s success extended far beyond the charts. At the 1989 Grammy Awards, "Don't Worry, Be Happy" won Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. The song has remained a pop culture staple for decades and was selected for preservation in the United States National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress in 2024.

Over the course of his career, McFerrin has become one of music’s most distinctive vocal innovators. Known for his extraordinary technique, he frequently performs as an unaccompanied solo artist, creating melodies, harmonies and percussion entirely with his voice.

In addition to his pop success, McFerrin has collaborated with an impressive range of musicians across jazz and classical music, including Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock and Yo-Yo Ma. He has also conducted major orchestras around the world and served as creative chair of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.

An 11-time Grammy winner, McFerrin received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022 in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to music.

More than three decades after its release, "Don't Worry, Be Happy" remains one of the most recognizable songs of the late 1980s and still holds its place in history as the only fully a cappella song ever to top the Billboard Hot 100.

Another added, “She looks like she doesn’t want to be there. Let her rest 😢.”

Others echoed the same sentiment.

The reaction comes at a time when Liu’s life has changed dramatically after the recent Winter Games, where she captured global attention.

Alysa Liu’s Busy Schedule After Olympic Victory

Liu rose to worldwide fame after winning two gold medals at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, including the women’s individual figure skating event. The victory marked the first Olympic gold for an American woman in the sport in more than two decades.

Since returning from Italy, the California native has been moving almost nonstop. Within days of arriving back in the United States, Liu made appearances on major television shows, including Today and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Her social media following has also exploded. Before the Olympics, Liu had roughly 300,000 followers online. That number has since surged to more than seven million, bringing a new level of attention.

The sudden spotlight has not been entirely easy. Liu previously revealed that she has been overwhelmed by the sheer number of messages she has received since the Games.

“I have so many messages, so I haven't gone through most of them,” she admitted. “I'm going to be honest, I haven't really been working through it.”

Even simple moments of privacy have become difficult. The skater shared that a group of excited supporters once chased her to her car at the airport.

Because of the intense schedule following the Olympics, Liu also chose to withdraw from the upcoming world championships later this month, a decision many athletes make after the demanding Olympic season.

Jelly Roll was full of emotion recently while opening up about a special memento he received from John Carter Cash, the son of late country legend Johnny Cash. 

Carter Cash surprised the “I Am Not Okay” singer, 41, with a special piece of jewelry once worn by the beloved Man In Black, according to Country Now.  The unveiling of the gift — a delicate, gold cross necklace — happened backstage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville ahead of Jelly Roll’s induction on Tuesday, March 10. 

While that exchange was made in private, Jelly Roll couldn't help but share his excitement with the media at the event about the heirloom, which he wore on stage for his milestone moment.

Describing how he was presented with the necklace, as shown in the Instagram video above, Jelly Roll said Carter Cash told him, “‘I got something of my father’s [that] I think that he would want you to wear.’ And he opened up this [box with a] cross necklace [inside] that was Johnny Cash’s necklace.”

Carter Cash told the Antioch, Tenn., native that the accessory was not only his father’s “favorite” necklace, but the jewelry had belonged to the family for many years. 

“He said it was his father’s favorite piece of jewelry that his father owned. And he thinks that he would want me to wear this during the induction….” 

Jelly Roll Can Relate to Johnny Cash

After sharing the heartwarming story of the gift, Jelly Roll went on to point out his connection to Cash, revealing how the“Ring Of Fire” singer shaped his personal life and career. 

“I lived my entire life somewhere between two middle fingers and the grace of Jesus Christ. And I learned that from Johnny Cash,” Jelly Roll said. “This is the same guy who famously kicked the lights out on stage at the Ryman and flipped the bird to the photographer while breaking something. That’s breaking a law, by the way.” 

“He could have went to jail for that destruction of property. And this is also the same guy that I know is sitting right next to Jesus in the throne of heaven, smiling down for all the work he did for God on this planet, too,” he added. “So dude, I wear black because of Johnny Cash. So man, I could cry about this alone. My uncle grabbed it and almost cried.”

Johnny Cash passed away on Sept. 12, 2003, at the age of 71.

A short teaser from Netflix has ignited debate among fans of the live-action One Piece after the streaming giant posted a brief fight scene showing Monkey D. Luffy facing off against Marine Captain Smoker.

The clip, shared on X, shows Smoker using his smoke powers to trap Luffy. His arms turn into smoke and stretch outward, wrapping around the pirate captain’s arms and legs. 

The moment quickly spread online, with fans praising the action while others questioned the acting and visual effects.

The mixed reaction proved how closely viewers are watching the second season of the popular live-action adaptation based on the manga created by Eiichiro Oda. The series continues the adventure of the Straw Hat Pirates as they sail toward the dangerous Grand Line in search of the legendary treasure known as the One Piece.

The short preview focused on the tense encounter between Luffy and Smoker, one of the Marines determined to capture pirates. 

The teaser sparked excitement among longtime viewers who had been waiting to see the moment adapted for the live-action series.

One fan celebrated the clip online, writing, “Finally! The moment we have been waiting for.” 

Another praised the action, saying, “One Piece fight scenes go hard. Love to see it.”

A third viewer expressed support for the show overall, posting, “Seriously this show is good. Well done.”

But not everyone was impressed. Some users felt the scene looked awkward or unfinished. 

One comment read, “The actinf isn’t going crazy tho what did I watch? It looks like a parody.” 

Another viewer shared a harsher reaction, saying, “Jesus this looks terrible and the acting is god awful at least in this scene.”

One fan also joked about the smoky visual effects, writing, “I tried to follow the action, but honestly, everything was a bit... hazy. Is it just me or is Smoker’s laundry bill just for dry cleaning?”

Netflix’s ‘One Piece’ Season 2

Smoker plays a key role in the second season of the live-action show. Portrayed by actor Callum Kerr, the Marine officer is known for his serious personality and strong sense of justice. His goal is to stop pirates, especially Luffy and the Straw Hat crew.

The character also has one of the most recognizable abilities in the series. Thanks to his smoke-based Devil Fruit power, Smoker can transform parts of his body into smoke and move in ways normal fighters cannot. 

In the story, Smoker becomes a persistent enemy who follows the Straw Hats as they travel deeper into the Grand Line. The chase adds tension to the crew’s journey as they search for the legendary treasure.

Season 2 of the live-action series continues the adventure of the Straw Hat Pirates after the events of the first season. Led by Luffy, the crew includes navigator Nami, swordsman Roronoa Zoro, storyteller Usopp and cook Sanji.

As they sail through new islands and dangerous waters, the group meets new allies and enemies. Among the key additions this season are Princess Vivi and the beloved reindeer doctor Tony Tony Chopper.

The crew’s journey is not just about treasure anymore. According to the story’s development, they also take on a new mission: helping Princess Vivi save her homeland, the Kingdom of Alabasta, from powerful forces working behind the scenes.

The scene represents the clash between the free-spirited pirates and the Marines determined to stop them. And judging by the passionate responses online, even a few seconds of the battle is enough to get people talking.

With the 98th Oscars just around the corner, the Academy delivered an exciting announcement ahead of the annual ceremony.

Just days before the much-awaited event, the organization unveiled the list of performers, promising a night of dazzling performances by top artists and unforgettable moments.

In an Instagram update, Sinners actor Miles Caton is teaming up with songwriter and musician Raphael Saadiq to perform “I Lied to You,” the OST of the Oscar-nominated film.

In a press release by the Academy, executive producer and showrunner Raj Kapoor, along with executive producer Katy Mullan, shared that the chosen performers were selected to showcase musical performances that pay tribute to the cultural impact of these films.

“This year, our music performances are inspired by two of the most powerful cultural phenomena in film: ‘Sinners,’ the most nominated film in Oscars history, and ‘KPop Demon Hunters,’ a global pop culture sensation,” the executives mentioned, adding. “These show moments are more than just performances—they expand into cinematic tributes that celebrate the relationship between music and storytelling and why these films resonated so deeply with audiences around the world.”

Hosted by Conan O’Brien, the 98th Oscars will take place on March 15 at 7 p.m. ET, airing live on ABC and streaming on Hulu. The official live red carpet coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. ET.

The music horror film, Sinners, directed by Ryan Coogler, received the most nominations with a record-breaking 16 nods. Paul Thomas Anderson's movie One Battle After Another followed with 13 nominations.

Megan Fox is back on Instagram, and she's blowing up the Internet with her thirst traps.

What Kind of Engagement Did the Photos Get?

Within just 6 hours of being posted, Fox scored a whopping 2 million likes on her photos. The engagement was similar to her first post in almost a year, which she posted just a week ago. The set of two posts, which featured the beauty in black hosiery, a black top, and giant platform heels, featured the same thong as her most recent photos. Naturally, those posts went viral too, racking up a combined 8.7 million likes in under a week.

What's Up With Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly?

Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are no longer together. In March 2025, Fox admitted on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast that she and Kelly had called off their engagement.

A source later told PEOPLE that their relationship is strict about raising their daughter in a dignified manner.

Tim McGraw is celebrating the kind woman who raised him! 

On Tuesday, March 10, the country music superstar, 58, turned to social media to shine a light on his mother’s 78th birthday, as she marked another trip around the sun. On Instagram, the “My Best Friend” singer shared a special personalized message and a photo, which showed that his mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Ann D’Agostino, has been showered with love and plenty of flowers for the occasion.

The rare image, set to McGraw and his wife Faith Hill’s duet, “Meanwhile Back at Mama’s,” features Betty seated at a table while dressed in blue pants and a blue and white dress shirt. McGraw’s mom played a pivotal role in shaping his upbringing in Louisiana. She raised him and two of his younger siblings for several years as a single mother before marrying Horace Smith. Although he has four half-siblings, he grew up believing Smith was his biological father.

It is now widely known that McGraw is the son of the late legendary MLB pitcher, Tug McGraw. However, he didn’t meet his biological father until later on in life. The pair did establish a relationship in McGraw’s later years until his father died in 2004. "My mom, she found out she was pregnant with me her senior year in high school, so she had me young. She didn't get to graduate because I came along. And then she went through some terrible things early in my life,” McGraw reflected on his earlier years with his mother in an interview with ABC News. “So I have a lot of memories of all those things, and I know how resilient my mom is, and how tough she is, and how strong of a woman she is, and how well she raised us under the circumstances."

It's hard to believe the 2026 Academy Awards are just days away.

“Having Omar return as a contributor to this year’s pre-show is a natural fit,” Adrianne Anderson, ABC's senior vice president of content development, told the magazine. “As one of ESPN’s leading digital strategists and social media voices, his distinctive perspective makes him the ideal bridge from ESPN’s NBA coverage on ABC to an evening of Oscars red carpet coverage.”

As Oscar Sunday draws closer and closer, other exciting updates have been released surrounding the event. It was recently announced that When Harry Met Sally stars Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan will reunite during the ceremony to pay tribute to the late Rob Reiner, for example.

Country music singer-songwriter Vince Gill, 68, and singer-songwriter Amy Grant, 65, have been married for 26 years today. In celebration, the music power couple shared a joint social media post (with photos!) to acknowledge their decade's long anniversary.

“Happy 26th Anniversary to Amy and Vince,” the Instagram post reads, alongside a carousel of adorable photos of the music industry power couple over the years.

When asked the secret to a long marriage in an interview with Entertainment Tonight last year, Gill quipped, "I travel a lot. I'm on the road."

In fact, Grant elaborates quite sweetly by saying, "Both of our lives involve a lot of travel ... I know that one thing we give each other is a lot of freedom. And part of that's marrying when we did. We kind of already had our rhythms there. But what my feeling is, I just love returning to him."
