As Taylor Swift's new song "I Knew It, I Knew You" continues to perform remarkably well among listeners, the 36-year-old singer is shedding light on her own thoughts for the song's inspiration.

Appearing on Wednesday's episode of Good Morning America, Swift spoke about her work on "I Knew It, I Knew You" as well as her overall impressions of Toy Story 5, the new Pixar film that helped influence her latest chart-topping single.

In particular, Swift expressed her appreciation for Toy Story's chief musician Randy Newman for giving her the opportunity to write a song for the film, paving the way to the latest single from the award-winning pop star.

"I felt wonderful knowing that I had Randy's blessing to write for this film given that I'm the first songwriter to get to partake in the Toy Story world outside of Randy," Swift said. "I was absolutely dazzled by it. It is my favorite Toy Story movie."

During her interview, Swift was seen wiping a small tear from her eye when discussing the film.

"Don't mind me," she explained. "Just really liked the movie."

Swift hasn't shied away from discussing just how meaningful the film proved to be for her from a personal standpoint. She also talked a lot about influence on her new song, "I Knew It, I Knew You," a country-inspired single that positions itself from the perspective of Toy Story 5's main character, Jessie (voiced by Joan Cusack).

"Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time," Swift wrote of the track on Instagram earlier this month. "Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once. And being a @toystory kid from the age of 5 til now… is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond."

According to Kelley Blue Book, a new car can depreciate up to 20% in the first year and 60% in the first five years. As of September 2025, CNBC reports that average new-car prices have reached $50,000. Within the first year, the value drops to $40,000, and after five years, it is only $20,000. 

The average length of a car loan, according to NerdWallet, is 68 months (5.5 years), with an average payment of $941.36. Putting all those numbers together, you’ll see that by the time you pay off your new car, you’ll have lost $30,000 in value and also paid interest on your loan.

Ramsey says the depreciation numbers are only part of the problem, and not the biggest one that should concern you.

Instead of buying the new car for $50,000, you could’ve purchased a used car for just over half the price. With payments reduced to around $489.51, you have a difference of $451.85. This is where Ramsey’s investment logic really comes into play.

We will estimate a modest 6% rate of return with interest compounding daily. By the end of that investment, our total will be $1,252,556. Ramsey’s estimate is actually under the projected return. However, a 6% rate of return is extremely modest. 

According to NerdWallet, the average rate of return, measured by the S&P for the last century, has been closer to 10% annually. If we plug that number into our calculator, then our return jumps significantly to $4,825,082! That’s almost 5 times Ramsey’s estimate!

Taking into consideration market downturns and years you can't contribute, the total amount you could’ve gained is still enormous.

After an old high school picture of Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams resurfaced, the actor has been receiving some heat.

The picture shows Williams covered in markings, including what appears to be a swastika on his forehead. In an interview with TMZ, a source close to the actor said that Williams was unaware of what was being drawn on him.

While some called it “dumb things” done by underage kids, others have expressed serious concern over the photo. A source said that Williams deeply regrets the hurt he may have caused.

Now, a recent post on Instagram Threads finds Marvel actor Simu Liu seemingly defending Hudson Williams amidst the controversy.

“Soo I have this very specific trauma attached to people on the internet fabricating things about me and twisting things into a massive hate campaign when I first broke out,” Liu said on Threads. “I began to recognize patterns whenever people of colour specifically had a moment of visibility. It happened like clockwork and I see it happening now. The internet is insane. Bad actors are everywhere. If you’re here, be careful. Be smart.”

Many replied to Liu’s Threads post with support for the actor.

“We adore you and we adore Hudson,” one fan commented.

Liu responded, saying, “I thoroughly appreciate it.”

“Simu thank you so much for being such a positive voice and light for Hudson,” another user said. “Your words mean more to this community than you know. I will, as well as so many others on this app, continue to use my voice to get the right message across and speak love above the hate. Thank you, you're amazing.”

Liu was under fire in 2022 for a tweet that some called insensitive after Batgirl’s cancellation. Later that year, Liu said that work accolades aside, he was going through one of “the toughest stints” of his life.

“This kind of life is maybe the most perilous in this day and age where anyone can write anything about you, true or not, and still have it reach thousands of ears on the internet,” Liu said at the time. He went on to say that he has read tabloids about himself that “have been twisted horribly or are just flat out false.”

Ellen Travolta shared her thoughts on Joanie Loves Chachi and why the short-lived sitcom never stood a chance.

The actress, who played Chachi’s (Scott Baio) mother, Louisa Delvecchio, on the doomed Happy Days spinoff, recently appeared on The Scott Baio podcast, where the former co-stars looked back on what went wrong.

Baio, 65, noted that he and Travolta “clicked,” and she agreed they had “great chemistry” when they played the mother and son on the 1980s ABC comedy series.

But when asked if she liked the show, Travolta admitted she thought the entire premise of Happy Days lovebirds Joanie (Erin Moran) and Chachi’s new life as musicians in Chicago set the series up for failure.

“You know what I thought was a mistake is they should have just let it …It shouldn't have been you guys, the marrying, the whole thing… Nobody cares,” Travolta, 86, said. “They want the tension. They want the breakup. They want the thing.”

“I always thought the two of us should have spun off and then bring all the other characters,” Travolta told Baio. “They tied it up in a package that you would lose interest.”

Baio also admitted that he had major regrets about the series.

“I actually regret doing that show. Because it was destined to fail,” he said of Joanie Loves Chachi. “You're right. It had nowhere to go. The singing aspect of it, to me, was I didn't care. You know what I mean? I know that was the thing at the time. And you're right, you and I and even if Al, you know, the great Al Molinaro… you know us moving to Chicago…  that would have been a much more interesting show.”

Baio further explained that the vibe on the Joanie Loves Chachi set was “not great” because Moran seemed unhappy, as he was.

“It just fizzled,” he said of the show. “It didn't do anything. … It had nowhere to go.”

Travolta agreed, adding, “And that's it. They just tied it all up, you know.”

Joanie Loves Chachi aired from March 23, 1982, to May 24, 1983, for just 17 episodes before ABC canceled it. After the sitcom focused on the singing career of Happy Days characters Joanie Cunningham and Chachi Arcola failed, the characters returned to Happy Days where they got married on the 1984 series finale.

Baio once told The AV Club that Joanie Loves Chachi was “such a fiasco” after the original writers left after four episodes.

“We were stuck with new writers who didn't know us,” the actor said. “It just sort of all crumbled and fell apart. In retrospect, if given the choice again, I would not have done that show. That was just the wrong idea. If I had to do it all over again, I would've waited 'til Happy Days was over until I did anything else.”

"Robyn's purity talk gave me THE most cringe," wrote one follower.

A second viewer gave a detailed description of their most uncomfortable moment as a viewer. "The chaos episode or two before the commitment ceremony and the ceremony. The weirdest dresses and plans for making them, the lights, the cake, the fact that he has individual marriages with each of them, but they all recommit in one weird ceremony. Could you imagine being invited to that event? You know it’s being filmed, and yet it’s not at a venue; it’s in their cul-de-sac of ‘love’. You just have to sit there in the heat of Las Vegas in Robyn’s backyard to watch that."

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is set to begin a new chapter in United States soccer history, and FIFA has officially revealed who will perform the American national anthem before Team USA’s opening match of the tournament.

FIFA announced that country music duo Dan + Shay will sing the United States national anthem ahead of the host nation's first game against Paraguay on Friday at Los Angeles Stadium. Representing Paraguay, musical group Purahei Soul will perform the South American country's national anthem during the pre-match ceremony.

The anthem performances will take place before kickoff as part of a major celebration marking the United States' first match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. FIFA also confirmed that actor and comedian Jason Sudeikis will appear as a FIFA World Cup 2026 Ambassador, welcoming fans to Los Angeles and helping celebrate the tournament's opening festivities.

The event is expected to be one of the biggest entertainment showcases of the tournament's opening week. FIFA said the ceremonies at Los Angeles Stadium will feature appearances from Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, LISA, Rema and Tyla.

The United States will face Paraguay in its opening Group Stage match on Friday. The game is one of the most anticipated contests of the tournament's opening round as American fans prepare to watch their national team compete on home soil.

Dan + Shay Selected for Historic FIFA World Cup USA Opening Match

Dan + Shay is one of the most successful country music acts of the past decade. The duo consists of singers and songwriters Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney.

Since forming in Nashville in 2012, the pair has released six studio albums, including Where It All Began, Obsessed, Dan + Shay, Good Things, Bigger Houses and It's Officially Christmas: The Double Album. Their seventh album, Young, is scheduled for release in August 2026.

The duo earned widespread recognition through hit songs such as "Tequila," "Speechless" and "10,000 Hours" with Justin Bieber. Between 2019 and 2021, they won three consecutive Grammy Awards for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.

Dan + Shay have also collaborated with several major artists, including Justin Bieber, Charlie Puth, Kelly Clarkson, Rascal Flatts, RaeLynn and Lindsey Stirling.

Joining the celebration as a FIFA World Cup 2026 Ambassador, Jason Sudeikis will welcome fans to Los Angeles and celebrate the unifying power of football on the world’s biggest stage.

Fans attending the event are encouraged to arrive early. FIFA said the opening show will begin at 4:30 P.M. local time, while stadium gates will open four hours before kickoff. Supporters can also take part in various fan experiences, entertainment activities and exclusive activations before the match begins.

With Dan + Shay leading the national anthem performance and a lineup of global music stars set to appear, FIFA is aiming to deliver a major entertainment spectacle before one of the tournament's most important opening matches.

It's no surprise when a previously released song finds new life when covered by another artist. Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes released a soul track that would later be covered by Thelma Houston and become one of the era's biggest disco hits.

"Don't Leave Me This Way" tells the story of a singer begging their partner to stay, and their love becoming the only thing that satisfies them. Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes first released the track in 1975, but as part of their Wake Up Everybody album. It didn't land on the charts until much later, when Houston released her own cover of the song in December 1976.

Houston was looking for a hit track to add to her roster, with "Don't Leave Me This Way" originally intended for Diana Ross as a follow-up to "Love Hangover." Believe it or not, the song also wasn't originally issued as a single and was part of Houston's Any Way You Like It album. It was only after a Boston DJ record pool broadcast its popularity in disco clubs that her label decided to release it as a single.

Houston's cover of the original track became a smash hit, landing at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and topping the U.S. soul singles chart. "Don't Leave Me This Way" soon became a hit disco anthem that went No. 1 on the Dance Club Songs chart and the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

According to ProduceLikePro, legendary drummer James Gadson remembers working on the track during its recording session. He remembers the song having been recorded in three hours due to the time restraints of the recording session, and the "door brrr-oom slamming" when their time was up.

"Don't Leave Me This Way" also led Houston to win a Grammy for Best R&B Vocal Performance, Female, against powerhouses Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, Dorothy Moore, and Ross. Houston didn't even attend the ceremony, believing she had no chance to win against the other nominees.

“I had been nominated before, and I was up against Aretha and it was in New York”, said Houston. “I was very excited to be there and I was excited to be nominated but then I thought, OK, I didn’t win that one, so now I don’t know if I can sit there. What is the lesson to everyone? When you’re nominated for something especially something like that – Go! Cause you don’t want to feel like a fool when you win and people ask you years later where were you – oh I was at home scrubbing my kitchen floor”.

The track not only became a dance anthem but a popular hit among the LGBTQ community at the time. Its genderless lyrics were a hit on the radio and were devoured by Latino and African American fans who went beyond the walls of Studio 54. The Communards covered the track in 1986.

“Animal I Have Become” is one of the most iconic songs from Canadian rock band Three Days Grace, and the origins come from a dark time for lead vocalist, Adam Gontier.

The 2006 hit song became the lead track for “One-X,” the second studio album for the band. Most of the tracks were written while Gontier went through rehab for addiction to prescription pills, which he developed after taking prescription medication for a shoulder injury.

While he was in rehab, he wrote down his thoughts and feelings in a journal. Many of the lyrics for “Animal I Have Become” came directly from his own words. It wouldn’t be his first time in rehab, going back in 2017, where he wrote more songs, including “This August Day.”

“Animal I Have Become” would end up being a monster hit for the band, spending seven weeks in the No. 1 spot, ending Red Hot Chili Pepper’s 11-week run for “Dani California.” It also won Rock Single of the Year at the 2006 Billboard Music Awards.

Three Days Grace has been through major band changes, but they are still going strong across the globe. Gontier left suddenly in 2013, and that’s when current frontman Matt Walst stepped in. However, Gontier reunited with his former band in 2023 and 2025, surprising all and making it clear there is no bad blood.

In a 2024 interview, Gontier did admit that the way he left the band was something he should have done differently, sharing, “I probably could’ve handled it differently – the way that i left. It wasn’t like a sit-down-and-talk-about-it kind of thing. It was like “I’m gone!” and I just left.”

In 2016, Gontier chatted a little about the process of writing his songs, and he admitted that he doesn’t tend to have a melody at first. He doesn’t have much of a process.“Usually I’ll have an acoustic guitar or something and just be playing a riff, and then naturally a melody might come.”

Three Days Grace made huge news in 2026 with both Gontier and Walst now performing together on the stage. They’re continuing their extensive North American and European tour, performing old and new songs, including those from their newest album, “Alienation.”

Ryan Reynolds is looking back on the devastating injuries he suffered after being "run over" by a drunk driver when he was 18 years old.

The Deadpoolactor, 49, recounted his four-week-long hospitalization during a GQ video with his Wrexham AFC co-owner, Rob Mac, revealing that it was a "firmly positive and wise decision" he made that led to disaster.

"When I was 18, I left a bar, and I'd had a beer," Reynolds revealed in the video, published on Tuesday, June 9. "I walked back, and I looked at my car for a second. I thought, ‘You know what, I'm not going to drive anywhere. Even if it's four blocks home, absolutely not.’"

"Instead, I turned around, started to cross the street," he went on, "and I was run over by a drunk driver."

The crash was devastating, as Reynolds "broke every bone" in the left side of his body. "He hit me so hard, his car was not operational," the Marvel star revealed, jokingly adding, "I'd like to thank Dr. Meek at the General Hospital for putting me back together so kindly. Socialized medicine, he couldn't say no."

This isn't the first time Reynolds, who is father to three children with wife Blake Lively, has opened up about his near-death experience.

"I woke up three days later," the actor said in a 2011 CTV News interview, as per HuffPost. "I remember my dad sitting there ... [with] a vomit tray. And I guess I had been heaving in my unconscious. And nothing says love like painting someone with three-day-old Gin Rummies. Just soaked the man head to toe in my vomit."

Since the accident, the Van Wilder star said he hasn't been the same physically, despite making a full recovery. "I’ve been a rickety, broken mess," he admitted.

Jeremy Sisto may have risen to stardom in Clueless, but we didn't even recognize him on the red carpet!

He's Reuniting With Paul Rudd

While Sisto first rose to stardom in Clueless, he's reuniting with another star from the iconic film: Paul Rudd! The duo both appear in Rain Reign and have nothing but nice things to say about each other. In fact, Sisto said Rudd hasn't changed all that much in 30 years.

"Paul was really the same guy that I met all those years ago, he just brings this grounded warmth to everything he does on set and on camera," Sisto told PEOPLE. "He's just one of those actors who makes everybody better around him and he's really generous."

Rudd also had great things to say about Sisto.

"To get to work with him was really great and there was something very gratifying just about the history I suppose we shared, that it was a while ago. We were both kind of starting off ... It really is something to treasure," Rudd said. "And I felt it with Jeremy that we're doing these scenes and I'm thinking he remembers exactly what it was like to be at Paramount working on Clueless in the same way I do. And there's something really cool about that. And so it was nice."

Breast cancer generates a lot of headlines in October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but many people don’t have the luxury of only thinking about it once a year. According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the U.S. and an estimated one in eight women will get it.

Here’s the good news: Breast cancer death rates have been steadily decreasing since 1989. The big reason why? Earlier detection. As with other forms of cancer, detecting this one early is key to a good outcome.

With this in mind, you’re probably wondering what the breast cancer screening guidelines are. It’s recommended that women of average risk between the ages of 40 and 75 get a mammogram (which serves as a way to screen for breast cancer) once every two years. If you are at increased risk for breast cancer (due to a family history of it, for example), talk to your doctor about being screened earlier.

It can also be helpful to know when breast cancer risk is at its peak. Recently, researchers at the University of Cambridge and the University of British Columbia created the most advanced map to date showing how breast tissue changes with age, and how this impacts breast cancer risk. Parade talked to experts about this new research as well as other factors that impact risk as we age.

The Lifestage With the Highest Risk of Breast Cancer

Recently published in the journal Nature, scientists created a map showing how breast tissue changes as women age. They found that as women get older, the number of cells in breast tissue decreases, with the most dramatic changes happening during menopause. 

Dr. Kyle Bowers, MD,a general and breast surgeon with AdventHealth, explains that the reason why breast tissue decreases with age is that, as women age, circulating hormone levels decrease. When this happens, he says epithelial cells, including the glands that produce milk, can shrink and decrease. Over time, the body may replace some of this tissue with fatty tissue.

“Stromal cells, which provide the structural support of the breast, can also decrease in number, contributing to lower breast density and age-related changes in breast shape. Without the same level of cellular stimulation, the cell cycle also slows, and cells may not receive signals to divide as often as they would in younger tissue,” Dr. Bowers explains as to why there is less turnover in breast tissue cells.

This is where the increase in breast cancer risk comes in. Dr. Marleen Meyers, MD, an oncologist at NYU Langone, explains that stromal disruption (tissue around the breast cells) can be associated with an increased risk of more aggressive cancer. “It is the microenvironment, not age alone, that may determine how likely the breast is to develop an aggressive cancer,” she says.  

Dr. Anupama Saigal, MD, a breast surgical oncologist with AdventHealth, tells Parade that the study shows that aging is not simply a loss of cells. “It is a more complex change in the tissue around breast cells, including changes in immune cells, connective tissue and the way cells send signals to one another,” she says.

Other Changes That Impact Breast Cancer Risk

Besides the changes in breast tissue, other changes can happen during menopause that increase the risk of breast cancer. Dr. Bowers says that weight gain and long-term hormone replacement therapy (taking place longer than five years) may also increase the risk.

Dr. Saigal adds to this, saying that the body can accumulate genetic mutations simply as a result of aging, and this, too can increase the risk of breast cancer. “Together, these age-related changes may contribute to cancer development. That is why breast health should be viewed as part of whole health, including movement, nutrition, sleep, stress, preventive care and regular conversations with a clinician,” she emphasizes.

While the new study provides an interesting look at how breast tissue changes over time, Dr. Saigal says that it doesn’t change the screening guidelines or treatment recommendations. What it does do is give researchers a better understanding of why breast cancer risk increases over time and how the tissue around breast cells may contribute to the disease.

How To Lower Your Risk of Breast Cancer During and After Menopause

“While no strategy can completely eliminate breast cancer risk, women can take several evidence-based steps to reduce it,” Dr. Saigal says. She says that the best way to do this is to focus on what you can do to support your overall metabolic health. 

This comes down to all of the habits you likely already know are important for supporting your health. All three doctors say that maintaining a healthy weight, not smoking, exercising regularly and limiting alcohol consumption can all help lower the risk of breast cancer.

Since weight gain becomes more common during and after menopause, maintaining a healthy weight may take more effort than when you were younger. If you’re struggling to maintain a healthy weight, talk to your doctor about it. They may recommend a medication that can help, such as a GLP-1.

As mentioned before, it’s also important to stay on top of breast cancer screenings. Especially if breast cancer runs in your family, talk to your doctor about what you can do to stay vigilant. 

No one can control their health entirely, but there is a lot you can do to protect yourself from breast cancer. Don’t underestimate the power of maintaining healthy habits and staying on top of cancer screenings.

The U.S. Mint stopped producing pennies in 2025. And while that was upsetting to fans of the copper coin and collectors alike, it seems like it hasn't made too much of a difference for most shoppers, since plenty of one-cent pieces remained in circulation. However, as America's 250th birthday approaches, the U.S. Mint has made a surprising announcement: It's bringing the penny back.

While it won't exactly be like it was before—for example, you may not be given the 250th anniversary coin as change while you're shopping—it still offers people an exciting opportunity to get their hands on a brand new 2026 penny. And according to one coin expert, these pennies are going to have something extra special going for them that no other penny in history has, which could potentially make them worth more than just the single cent we're used to using them for.

Why the Mint Is Giving America's Coins a Makeover

Organizations and agencies throughout the country are trying to do something special for America's 250th, and the U.S. Mint is no exception, according to Kiplinger. The agency tasked with minting our country's currency has announced it will give America's coins a facelift, including the penny.

According to the publication, the penny will also feature a dual-date design, with the years 1776 and 2026. "The shield reverse, which has been used continuously since 2010, will remain," according to Ted Ancher, Director of Numismatics at American Precious Metals Exchange, Inc.

The U.S. Mint will also be producing commemorative upgrades for the following coins:

• The half-dollar, which will feature a close-up of the Statue of Liberty
• The quarter, which will have five rotating designs that include things like the Mayflower Compact, the Declaration of Independence, the Revolutionary War, and more
• The dime, which will show Lady Liberty on one side
• The nickel, which will feature a dual-date design

So, How Do You Actually Get One?

Getting your hands on these newly minted pennies will be a top priority for coin collectors and penny enthusiasts, but Ancher says it won't be as easy as sifting through your change anytime you get back from the store.

"The new 2026 Cents can be found as collector’s items in Mint Sets and Proof Sets, and may be included in other special U.S. Mint releases," he explains, noting that they will not be found in general circulation.

And Here's the Big Question: What Will They Be Worth?

Now, for the big question on everyone's minds...just how much will these pennies be worth? According to Ancher, that part still remains a mystery. "Since new 2026 dual-dated Cents can only be found in official U.S. Mint releases going forward, a market for these particular coins will eventually emerge," he explains. "It is very tough to speculate on their value as we are currently in the year in which they are being minted."

Though Ancher says that if history has taught us anything, they will likely become a novelty piece, similar to all of the bicentennial coinage of 1976. "This is the only dual-dated Cent that the U.S. Mint has ever minted."

In short, if you're lucky enough to get your hands on one of these commemorative pennies, it may be worth holding onto. While it may never be worth more than the 97.5 per cent zinc and 2.5 per cent copper coating that Ancher says they'll be minted with, it's clear they will hold some sentimental value due to the dual-dating.

Last week, the Tribeca Festival hosted the premiere of Frampton, the new documentary covering the life and career of legendary guitarist Peter Frampton. The documentary takes an honest and intimate look at the legendary musicians highest and lowest moments across his career, as well as the battles he is facing today with his health.

Spanning across the seven decades of Frampton's career, the documentary is full of incredible revelations and tidbits about the life of this absolute icon, the main one being the proudest moment of his career.

In the first half of the film, Frampton takes the crew of the documentary on a tour of Abbey Road Studios, and reminisces about the work he did with George Harrison of The Beatles.

Frampton, along with many other iconic musicians including Nick Drake, helped fill in some guitar parts for the iconic album "All Things Must Pass." Harrison's masterpiece and immediate follow-up to the ending of The Beatles, the album is famous for its massive sound, achieved in large part by producer Phil Spector and his "wall of sound" style.

Frampton was specifically called in to add acoustic guitar work, which can be heard on the beautiful and iconic "My Sweet Lord." I've listened to this song for years, and never knew that I was listening to Peter Frampton too. Frampton himself added that he appears on pretty much every song on the album, he just doesn't remember specifically where.

Walking the documentary crew through the recording space, Frampton recalls the exact places he sat when working with Harrison. Bringing the group all the way to just in front of the machine room, he begins to speak on "the greatest moment of his career," and that was getting to jam with George Harrison while they wound the tape up after recording.

Not the massive success of "Frampton Comes Alive!" or his legendary live work, but just getting to play with his hero. It's a wonderful and human moment in the documentary that won me over immediately.

Unlikely Friendships

Another one of the most touching and surprising revelations of the film to me was Frampton's relationship with the late great David Bowie. The two went to primary school together, with Frampton's father being Bowie's art teacher.

Frampton tells a touching anecdote about how Bowie got him his first job. Bowie worked at a record store in the town they grew up in, but was looking for different work because "there weren't enough girls in the store." He went to his friend Peter, and asked if he'd like to take his place at the store.

Later, Bowie would hook Frampton up with another, more important job, and that was Frampton career resurrecting place on Bowie's "Glass Spider" tour.

Frampton credits his continued success today to Bowie, as he was in a drought for work at the time after being stood up for a touring spot by The Who. He was in the dumps, and Bowie lent him a hand and got things rolling again.

Modern Struggles

Today, Frampton is battling Inclusion Body Myositis, which is a degenerative muscle condition that threatens to stop him from being able to play. In the documentary, he every candidly explores the struggles the disease has brought him, and how he has exercised everyday to slow the progress of the condition down.

He also talked about how it has been a wake up moment for him, and how it has strengthened his relationship with his family. Frampton's resilient spirit shines through the documentary, and gave me an intense amount of appreciate for him and his artistry.

The film is currently starting its festival run now. Be sure to support it where you can, as it is a remarkable story about an artist that I feel hasn't been given all the credit he deserves for being one of the greatest to ever do it.

David Harbour isn't shying away from talking about his highly publicized behavior near the end of Netflix's Stranger Things.

In a new interview with Variety, the 51-year-old actor pointedly addressed concerns about his abrasive behavior right around the time Stranger Things wrapped up its run on the popular streaming provider.

“I had a breakdown,” Harbour explained to the outlet. “I do suffer from some confusing stuff — it’s confusing as hell. I think a lot of people have a friend or a brother or a co-worker that deals with mental health stuff, and they’re probably pretty confused when that person gets depressed or gets manic or has an episode.” 

Discussing his own mental health, Harbour said he appreciates fans' support, although he is also tired of how ongoing conversations around mental health continue to unfold in today's culture.

"There’s a lot of irresponsible nonsense going on out there,” Harbour said, going on to reference Scottish disability-awareness campaigner John Davidson, who interrupted this past year's BAFTA Awards by involuntarily yelling racial slurs. “That poor guy with Tourette’s and that unfortunate situation — we’re either going to acknowledge that mental illness is a thing or we’re not. We can stone everyone to death if you want!"

“Under times of extreme stress, that can cause somewhat erratic behavior, and it’s embarrassing, and I’m ashamed of it," Harbour went on to say of his mental state. "It’s not something I choose, and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. I do feel like, for some of us, our gifts are inextricably linked with our illnesses. To have a nervous system that reacts to the world in a too-delicate way can allow me to have that moment that I love on the swings with [DTF St. Louis co-star Jason Bateman]. But it can also force me, in moments of extreme stress, to act a little weird.” 

The Doctor Who Christmas special the BBC promised fans last October never had a script, never had a cast, and by Russell T Davies' own admission, was never a real project at all. Davies confirmed on Instagram that the announcement was a deliberate fabrication, created to reassure fans during a period of deep uncertainty after Disney+ exited its co-production deal in 2025.

The BBC has now formally canceled the special and is inviting new production companies to pitch for the rights to produce the show's next era. Davies and producer Bad Wolf have officially exited the series, closing a chapter that spans two separate Davies tenures. He first revived Doctor Who in 2005 after a 16-year absence, bringing Christopher Eccleston into the TARDIS and turning the British sci-fi institution into a global phenomenon. He returned as showrunner in 2022 to oversee the Ncuti Gatwa era, which concluded in May 2025.

In his Instagram post, Davies wrote 'We only cooked that up to guarantee a future when no one knew what would happen, but now we do know, there's no need for it. You'll have to wait a bit longer for new Doctor Who...but you'll be waiting for more Doctor Who than a one-off. So it's worth it. For the record: there was no script, I never wrote it, and no actor was ever approached to play the next Doctor.'

Disney+ had co-produced and distributed the show internationally since 2023, but exited after 26 episodes when its contracted run concluded. With both the streaming partner and the showrunner now departed, the BBC has launched a formal competitive tender process. A competitive tender is where production companies are invited to pitch for the opportunity to make an existing returning series on a 'work for hire basis.' The BBC retains all intellectual property rights to Doctor Who.

The most recent series recorded the franchise's lowest-ever viewership numbers. It ended with Gatwa's Doctor regenerating into Billie Piper, who previously played companion Rose Tyler during the Eccleston and Tennant years, a twist that generated significant fan reaction but left the show's direction unresolved. Whether Piper would have become the next Doctor remains unanswered.

Since the revived era of Doctor Who began in 2005, Christmas specials have been an almost annual tradition. The only prior years without a Yuletide episode were 2018 and 2025, making this the first time in the modern run that fans will go two consecutive years without a new episode over the holiday period.

The BBC said the decision is a long-term investment. 'When the TARDIS lands once more,' the corporation's statement read, 'it does so in all its glory.' A new Doctor Who animated series for CBeebies remains in production in the meantime. What the next era of the show looks like, and when it arrives, remains entirely open.

One of country music's most beloved duets came back to life at the Grand Ole Opry on Wednesday night, June 10.

As part of a special tribute to Country Music Hall of Fame member Don Williams, Trisha Yearwood and Keith Urban teamed up at the to perform "If I Needed You," the classic duet Williams recorded with Emmylou Harris in 1981.

Parade was on hand at the Opry for the emotional performance, which paid tribute to Williams, known throughout country music as "The Gentle Giant."

Before she and Keith Urban launched into "If I Needed You," Trisha Yearwood smiled and told the audience, "I'm gonna be Emmylou, and you're gonna be Don. It's gonna be cool. We're gonna do it. Let's do it."

Moments later, the two country stars recreated the classic Don Williams and Emmylou Harris duet as part of a special Opry tribute to Williams.

The song has a rich history in country music. Written by legendary singer-songwriter Townes Van Zandt, "If I Needed You" first appeared on his 1972 album The Late Great Townes Van Zandt. Nearly a decade later, Williams and Harris recorded the song as a duet for Harris' 1981 album Cimarron.

Their version became one of the most enduring recordings of either artist's career, reaching No. 3 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart and topping the country charts in Canada.

Wednesday's tribute concert celebrated Williams' extraordinary legacy. Nicknamed "The Gentle Giant" for his towering frame and warm bass-baritone voice, Williams scored 17 No. 1 country hits during a career that spanned decades. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2010.

Before the performance, Yearwood also took a moment to honor another beloved figure in country music: longtime Grand Ole Opry announcer and WSM radio personality Bill Cody, who died June 9 at age 67.

"I want to take one second before we move on and I've heard some people have mentioned our dear friend Bill Cody," Yearwood told the audience. "You heard his voice on the loudspeaker when you came in tonight. He was a dear friend to all of us and I think we're all playing this show for Don Williams and also for Bill Cody. So I just wanted to send my love out with everybody else to his family."

The June 10 Opry tribute also featured performances from Rodney Crowell, Brandy Clark, Jamey Johnson and The Isaacs, all celebrating the enduring influence of Williams' music on generations of country artists.

The legacy of Everybody Loves Raymond continues to stand alone 30 years after its premiere—and series creator Phil Rosenthal believes there's a reason the show couldn't be made today.

"They’re not doing these types of shows anymore," Rosenthal told TV Insider while attending ATX TV Festival 2026 alongside star Ray Romano, adding, "They stopped kind of doing them when we were done."

Everybody Loves Raymond is singular not only for the era of network television in which it was made, but also for the era in the cast and crew's personal lives from which it drew inspiration.

"What’s funny [is]… we could incorporate our lives into the characters because we were the same age as the characters," Rosenthal explained. "We were going through having little kids and being married… that time of life is fraught. There’s a lot of pressure."

He continued, "It’s fun to revisit the shows that we made, but because so many of our personal stories are in them, they’re a little bit like watching home movies.”

Romano and Rosenthal also spoke about how Everybody Loves Raymond got its title—and how Romano tried to change it—during a Saturday, May 30, panel at the 2026 ATX TV Festival.

Romano explained that when the show was starting, he told Rosenthal a story about his brother, and it ended up inspiring the name.

"My brother, who in real life is a New York City policeman, came home one day, saw that I got an award for some stand-up comedy that I did, and he said sarcastically, 'Raymond goes to work and they give him awards. I go to work, and people spit on me. Everybody loves Raymond,'" said Romano (via PEOPLE), who admittedly wanted the show to be called something else.

While the comedian was told by higher-ups at CBS that he could change the show's name if it made it into the top 10, when it did climb the charts in its second season, "I go, 'So now I can change it?'" Romano recalled. "And he goes, 'Well, you can't change it now!'"
