Lark Voorhies, Who Played Lisa Turtle on ‘Saved by the Bell,’ Turns 51 and Is Stunning

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 9:40am

Lark Voorhies lit up the camera as Lisa Turtle on Saved by the Bell, and she's more beautiful than ever these days as she turns 51.

Voorhies, who hits her 51st birthday on Wednesday, March 25, rose to fame as Turtle, the resident fashionista at Bayside High School. She starred on the series alongside the rest of the gang from 1989 to 1993, and left her mark for years (and endless reruns) to come.

In the years following her run on the series, Voorhies guest-starred on several popular TV series, ranging from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air to Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She's also appeared in several music videos and self-published several books.

In the present day, it's safe to say Voorhies is absolutely thriving. Back in November, the ageless beauty posted a stunning photo to her Instagram. Smiling brightly, it's hard to believe that the beauty is in her fifties.

"Hey Instafam, what kind of film and TV shows would you love to see me star in next?" she captioned the photo, which showed Voorhies sporting long, curly hair.

Struggling With Mental Health Issues

Like many people around the world, Voorhies has struggled with mental health issues. Back in 2020, the actress appeared on the Dr. Oz Show with her mother and opened up about her struggle with Schizoaffective disorder. However, her story was an inspirational one about triumphing over challenges.

Is There Potential For Another Saved by the Bell Reboot?

Saved by the Bell was back in action… for a short amount of time, at least. A reboot of the series aired on Peacock for two seasons from November 2020 to December 2021. In the series, Tiffani Thiessen, who played Kelly Kapowski on the series, was still married to her longtime love, Zack Morris. However, the reboot didn’t stick. When asked if she thought another one was possible, Thiessen spoke candidly.

“I don’t think so. I think they tried it,” she told PEOPLE last year. Even though it didn’t last, Thiessen made it clear she “loved the reboot.”

“It only lasted two seasons, sadly,” she added. “[But] who knows? There are other shows that are in my sort of realm that are further along in possibly getting a reboot.”

Country Singer Colter Wall Announces Bandmate's Death After Canceling Tour

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 9:38am

Country singer Colter Wall shared the tragic news of his bandmate Jason Simpson's death days after canceling his 2026 tour due to mental health struggles.

Simpson—who played for Wall’s backing band The Scary Prairie Boys—reportedly died on Monday, March 23.

"Stood beside me for 10 years, on stage and off. Rest in peace my good friend. You are missed," Wall shared via Instagram.

The band's record label, La Honda Records, also shared a statement.

View this post on Instagram

"Jason Simpson was local to us at La Honda Records. A fellow Kentuckian with a bass guitar and long hair who we knew from around the way," their statement, which was shared to social media, read. "For the last decade he was a part of our crew. We swapped stories, travelled the world together, and saw him keep rhythm on both small and grand stages all over this country. We are deeply saddened to have lost him. Our hearts are with the community of people who lost him too.”

The news of Simpson's death comes just two weeks after Wall announced that he needed to focus on his mental health and would be canceling his ongoing tour. It's unclear whether the two events are related.

"Myself and the band and the crew are very grateful for the privilege to play music together for you. We thank you for it," he shared on March 11. "The truth is that I am mentally unwell,” he continued. “Despite this, I have pushed myself to continue with touring. As a result my mental health has only further declined. After discussion with my team, we have decided to cancel the remaining shows and take an indefinite hiatus from live music."

Sam's Club's New $10 Mini Pies Delivers Three Great Desserts In One

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 9:32am

We'll be first to admit: sometimes it's hard to decide on the proper dessert to settle on when you get a myriad of options to choose from. After all, why settle on buying one pie at the grocery store when you have several others at your disposal?

Fortunately, Sam's Club's latest Member's Mark exclusive provides shoppers with the perfect solution. Delivering three great desserts in one, the grocery chain's new Mini Pies are the ideal option for anyone looking for a diverse mix of sweets, free from the headache-inducing agony of having to choose just one to purchase.

As multiple shoppers have reported seeing on Instagram, Sam's Club has once again brought back their popular Mini Pies to the store's bakery section, albeit with a slight difference in past releases.

Whereas previous iterations of the dessert featured peanut butter, cherry vanilla bean and French silk pies, the new version of the Mini Pies specifically features key lime, vanilla bean, and chocolate pie as its base lineup.

Between each dessert, this trio covers virtually every respective flavor profile shoppers could hope to find out of their dessert.

The key lime pie, for example, features a delicate balance between tart and sweet; the vanilla bean offers a rich, smooth, creamy twist on the classic dessert; and the chocolate pie serves up a decadent cocoa-centric treat we can't recommend enough.

The new Mini Pies trio currently retails for $10.74, with the packaged dessert coming in six-pie serving portions (with two of each pie featured in the Member's Mark exclusive). While the dessert has proven incredibly popular among fans, some online users said the dessert looks almost a bit too cute to eat, given its adorable size and decorative design.

"They're too cute! Yum!" one fan said on Instagram.

"These look almost too pretty to eat!" another user agreed. "Almost."

Jinger Duggar Breaks Silence After Brother Joseph’s Disturbing Arrest

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 9:30am

Jinger Duggar is speaking out following the arrest of her brother, Joseph Duggar last week.

During a Wednesday, March 25 episode of the Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo podcast, which came out one week after her brother and his wife, Kendra Duggar’s arrest, Jinger and her husband Jeremy Vuolo addressed the situation directly, describing the news as deeply difficult to process. “This is devastating news to hear when we got the news, last week, and it's been a really difficult week,” Jeremy said.

Jinger opened up about the emotional toll the situation has taken. “It has been such a long week. It's been one of those weeks that feels like years,” she said. “And I did not think that my heart could break like it has this week.”

Rather than focusing on Jinger’s brother, Jeremy emphasized the impact on the alleged victim and others affected. “Thinking about the victim Who was brave enough to to share her story has been heartbreaking,” he said, adding that the ripple effects of the situation have been “unthinkable.”

“You can't be prepared for news like this, even though we've experienced something very similar before with one of my other siblings who made unthinkable choices and decisions that have affected all of us,” Jinger noted, referring to her older brother Josh Duggar, who was taken into custody in 2021 on possession of child sexual abuse material. “The pain and hurt that's caused to us, but then to so many others is just so hard.”

Joseph, 31, was arrested on March 18 and charged with lewd and lascivious behavior involving a minor. According to an affidavit, he allegedly admitted during a phone call with the victim’s father and a detective that “he touched the victim over her clothing.” The allegations stem from incidents said to have occurred in 2020, when the victim was just 9 years old.

Joseph made his first court appearance on March 20, where he did not enter a plea and waived extradition, agreeing to be transferred to Florida to face charges. Additional charges have also been filed in Arkansas involving child endangerment and false imprisonment.

In addition to the charges against Joseph, authorities have also filed separate charges in Arkansas involving his wife, Kendra. According to reports, both Joseph and Kendra are facing four counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor, along with four counts of second-degree false imprisonment.

Steve Carell Reveals the Hollywood A-Lister Who Told Him Not to Audition for 'The Office'

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 9:29am

The Officebecame one of TV's most well-received mockumentary sitcoms, which skyrocketed the careers of some of its main cast members.Steve Carell, who infamously played Michael Scott, revealed a close actor friend told him auditioning wasn't a good idea.

While appearing on Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast, the two comedians discussed how fans were angered when learning Ricky Gervais's original British comedy version was being remade by NBC. Poehler admits thinking it was a bad idea, and no one could "be as good as Ricky Gervais."

At the time The Office was casting for its main stars, Carrell was working with Paul Rudd in Anchorman in 2004. Carrell was thinking of auditioning for the role of the Dunder Mifflin regional manager when Rudd pulled him aside to give him some advice.

"Rudd pulled me aside and was like, 'Don't do it, man. Don't audition,'" Carell explained. "It was like, 'There is no way.'"

In the end, Carell admitted that Rudd's advice was to not touch the American remake with a "10-foot pole." The actor goes on to reveal that he has watched all of Gervais's other works besides The Office. At the time, he felt watching the original would hinder his audition.

"I watched a minute of one and he was so good and so specific and so funny, I thought, 'If I watch a second more, I'm just gonna go on an audition with that,'" said Carell.

While Poehler said the initial idea wasn't great, her mind changed when she heard that Carell was cast as Michael Scott. Despite its cast, including Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, B.J. Novak, Angela Kinsey, and other featured actors in the main roles, the pilot wasn't well-received.

"Our pilot was the lowest testing pilot in the history of NBC," Carell recalled. "People really hated it. They actively hated it. And I don't quite know how it got legs after that."

The Office barely made it to a Season 2 renewal, but ultimately became a TV hit that ran for nine seasons. It won two Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Golden Globe Award for Carell's performance, and five Primetime Emmy Awards, including one for Outstanding Comedy Series. Carrell left the series in Season 7, which some fans felt attributed to the show's decline.

Man Wins $1.3 Million Lottery Thanks to His Late Father in Miraculous Twist of Fate

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 9:28am

When a person loses someone like a parent, spouse, or child, the grief is immeasurable. Often, we long for some kind of connection with those people after they’ve passed. In fact, according to Pew Research Center, 53% of American adults say they’ve been visited by a deceased family member in a dream. Going even further, 34% say they’ve “felt the presence” of a loved one, 28% have spoken to a deceased relative about their lives, and 15% say they’ve had a dead family member communicate with them.

But very few people can say their late father helped them win the lottery.

One man can.

People recently reported that Sean Hayes, of Oxfordshire, England, won £1,000,000—roughly $1.3 million—according to a news release from the National Lottery. The 56-year-old says his father selected the winning numbers before his death in 2010.

“My dad had a little booklet where he wrote his Lotto numbers,” Hayes told the National Lottery. “I lost it for a while but found it again and decided to start playing the numbers. That’s how I won. To think that my dad chose these numbers all those years ago is just unbelievable—and it’s a really nice connection to his memory.”

Hayes said he was out on a date with his wife when he discovered the life-changing news. After entering the numbers into the lottery app, he was stunned by what he saw—though spotty cell service nearly got in the way of confirming the win.

“When I eventually managed to confirm I had won £1M, it was unbelievable—a moment I will never forget,” he said. “We had a few extra drinks to celebrate that night.”

Now, Hayes already has plans for the prize money. He and his wife, Sara, hope to buy a home with a garden, upgrade his car, and take some memorable vacations.

“I’m so grateful to my dad for choosing these numbers,” Hayes said. “The money is going to make a real difference to our lives.”

The video that led to Taylor Frankie Paul's arrest in 2023 was released, which led to the cancellation of her season of The Bachelorette. She pled guilty in abeyance to a felony aggravated assault charge.

There is a new domestic violence investigation in Utah involving Paul, 31, who is currently on probation. Paul and her ex, Dakota Mortensen was contacted by law enforcement on February 24 and 25. The on-and-off couple reportedly had a third incident between these two.

NBC News reports Mortensen, 33, contacted the West Jordan Police Department last month about an alleged domestic violence incident in 2024. A spokesman for the police department claimed videos related to the 2024 event are being reviewed as part of the investigation.

A video of Paul hitting Mortensen, then throwing a chair, which hit her 5-year-old daughter was released by TMZ on March 19. Mortensen is the father of her 2-year-old son, Ever. Paul has temporarily lost custody of Ever. Mortensen has a protective order against the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star. There will be a hearing involving the parents on April 7.

1980 Hit Launched 10-Song No. 1 Streak 46 Years Ago Today

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 9:14am

A 1980 hit from one of country music’s most consistent chart-toppers launched a remarkable run of success 46 years ago today.

“Why Don’t You Spend the Night” by Ronnie Milsap reached No. 1 on the Billboard country chart on March 25, 1980, becoming his 13th chart-topping single. But more notably, the song marked the beginning of an extraordinary streak that would see Milsap score 10 consecutive No. 1 hits over the next several years.

But "Why Don't You Spend the Night" kicked off the 10-song No. 1 streak in 1980. Written by Bob McDill, the track captures a late-night moment of vulnerability and connection, as its narrator makes a simple but emotionally charged request. With lines like “Why does it have to end so soon, please stay ’til the morning light,” the song blends intimacy with restraint, a balance that became a hallmark of Milsap’s sound.

By 1980, Milsap had already established himself as a dominant force on country radio. His ability to merge traditional country storytelling with pop and soul influences helped him stand out, while his smooth vocal delivery gave his songs broad crossover appeal.

“Why Don’t You Spend the Night” was a key turning point in that run. Following its success, Milsap would not miss the top spot again until 1983, an achievement that underscored his consistency during one of the most competitive eras in country music. Starting with "Why Don't You Spend the Night," Milsap didn't release a single that didn't hit No. 1 until the June 1983 hit "Stranger in My House," which "only" got to No. 5 and won the Grammy for Best Country Song in 1984.

Over the course of his career, Milsap logged more than 35 No. 1 hits, placing him among an elite group of artists whose chart success spanned multiple decades. His longevity is even more remarkable given his personal journey—born nearly blind and losing most of his remaining vision as a teenager, he became a classically trained musician and developed the piano-driven style that defined his recordings.

His influence continues to be recognized today. In February 2026, the Grand Ole Opry honored Milsap for his 50th anniversary as a member, with artists including Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and Vince Gill performing his songs in tribute to his enduring legacy.

As it reached No. 1 on this day in 1980, “Why Don’t You Spend the Night” didn’t just top the charts—it kicked off one of the most impressive streaks in country music history.

Delta's Latest Expansion Makes That Epic Universe Trip Way Easier

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 9:10am

Today, Delta—already the heavy hitter at LAX—announced they are officially going "all in" on the sunshine state with their largest-ever LAX-to-Florida schedule. For those of us currently staring at the calendar and panicking about last-minute Spring Break plans or looking ahead to the 2026 winter holidays, this is the smart-splurge news of the season.

We’ve talked before about how JetBlue has been aggressively expanding its Florida footprint lately, but Delta’s move here is a direct response to the massive demand shift we’re seeing in the "Sunshine Corridor." It makes sense: theme-park travel is no longer just a once-in-a-childhood event; it’s a year-round food, culture and festival destination.

View this post on Instagram

With Universal’s Epic Universe expansion now offering those game-changing park-hopper options and Disney’s "Cool Kids" summer promotion driving families back to the parks in droves, the demand for Orlando (MCO) is through the roof. Delta is meeting that heat by bumping up to five daily flights to MCO starting November 20, 2026.

But it’s not just about the mouse. We’re also seeing a huge spike in culinary-focused travel. From the legendary food festivals at Epcot to the increasingly elaborate (and delicious) menus at Halloween Horror Nights, Florida is becoming a foodie destination in its own right.

Delta’s new schedule brings a total of 12 daily departures and over 2,300 seats between Los Angeles and Florida. Here is the breakdown of the new routes you need to know for your 2026 planning:

  • Palm Beach (PBI): A brand-new nonstop service starting November 20, 2026. This is perfect for those looking for a slightly more "boutique" Florida vibe without the Orlando crowds.
  • Tampa (TPA): Expanded to three daily flights year-round starting November 9, 2026. If you’re eyeing a sailing on Carnival or Margaritaville at Sea Islander, this is your easiest path to the port.
  • Orlando (MCO): Five daily flights starting November 20, 2026.

Related: Breeze Airways Launches 6 New Flights—And One is $39

One of the best parts of this expansion? All these flights will be operated on the Airbus A321neo. As a "carry-on only" traveler, I love this aircraft for its overhead bin space, but as an editor, I love it for the fast, free Wi-Fi for SkyMiles members.

You can literally be at 30,000 feet over Texas while finalizing your Disney Genie+ strategy or booking that last-minute specialty dining reservation for your cruise.

Whether you’re heading East in the winter or trying to navigate the crowds at spring break, more flights mean more competition—and that is always good for our wallets.

What Has Jessica Gunning Said About Never Having Been in a Relationship?

Last week, Gunning opened up in a revealing interview about how she's never been in a relationship before.

“I’ve never been in a relationship before with anyone,” Gunning told The Times of London in a new interview. “Everyone around me was gay. I just didn’t think I could be.”

Gunning, who came out as gay in 2022, said her sexuality was the main reason she avoided romance.

“Well, not to get too deep, but it was probably that I didn’t want to go out with guys and so I was finding a way to avoid it,” she told The Times. “I never knew how to flirt, I didn’t get it. I was always friends with guys and would set them up with other friends. In a way it was, like, ‘Great, because I’m not interested.’ ”

Gunning also said that her insecurity about dating stemmed from her feelings about her weight.

“It might be connected to size, maybe because I was bigger,” she said. “It’s hard to word this because I don’t want it to seem like I’m saying it in a negative way, because it definitely isn’t. I didn’t feel like an alien in a negative way, but it was, like, an otherness.”

For a quick reminder of how good Gunning was in Baby Reindeer, check out the trailer below:

Will Jessica Gunning Play Cass Elliot?

Gunning will work on Sunny Dancer, about a summer camp for teen cancer patients, with James Norton and Bella Ramsey, the Times piece stated. But one of the most exciting pursuits for Gunning came last month when it was announced that she would play the lead in a biopic of the Mamas and the Papas singer Mama Cass Elliot.

New Memoir Detailing Diddy 'Brawls,' Tupac's Murder Announced From Prison

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 8:55am

There are rumors Vanilla Ice was once dangled off a balcony and threatened to sign over his rights to "Ice Ice Baby" to another record producer.

Ice, 58, insists it never happened, but the hip-hop lore lives on — especially since the other party involved is now releasing an all-new memoir.

Suge Knight is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for voluntary manslaughter as part of a plea deal finalized in October 2018. The co-founder and former CEO of Death Row Records, 60, just announced his forthcoming book from behind bars, Billboard reports, which will address buzzy subject matter such as "brawls" with Sean "Diddy" Combs and Tupac Shakur's murder.

Here's the book's synopsis, per publisher Simon & Schuster: "Suge Knight was handed nothing in life. Anything he ever had, he fought for, knowing that he had to take what he deserved. Now in this unflinching memoir from behind bars, Suge takes readers on a thrilling ride through the Golden Age of Rap and the streets of Compton."

The synopsis continues, "Everyone in the rap game has a story about Suge Knight. Now, for the first time, Suge is telling his side. From his legendary encounter with Vanilla Ice to blow-out brawls with P. Diddy and the night when he and Tupac got shot in Vegas, Suge doesn’t shy away from the controversy that has followed him his entire life. He pulls no punches, asks for no forgiveness, and explains exactly how he battled his way to the top."

Through his intimidating negotiating style and ties to a gang, Knight became one of the most feared executives in hip-hop, Billboard also noted on Tuesday, March 24. The Compton, California, native guided Death Row Records to dominance in the mid-'90s, with big names like Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre (in addition to 2Pac).

4 Key Personality Traits of People Born in November

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 8:52am

Fans of fall revel in the spirited tone that November sets. Whether you’re a fan of extending spooky season into the early days of the month (after all, Día de los Muertos always falls on November 1 and 2), putting up your holiday lights as soon as Halloween has come and gone, or you adore planning the perfect family celebration for Thanksgiving, the penultimate month of the year offers plenty of opportunities to tap into your intuition and broaden your horizons by getting out into the world — whether you’re traveling to see family for the holiday or squeezing in a last minute vacation before the end of the year. This powerful, joie de vivre-inspired time of year is brought to you by the astrological energies that take center stage in November.

Whether you’re a November-born person yourself or you care about someone who is, keep reading to learn how the eleventh month of the year influences a person’s perspective, strengths, and even challenges.

The Astrology of Being Born in November

People born in November fall under one of two zodiac signs: magnetic, dynamic, mysterious Scorpio (October 23 - November 21) or wanderlust-fueled, jovial, direct Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21). People born when the sun is moving through Scorpio, symbolized by the Scorpion, are bold, intense, commanding, secretive, powerful, and intimacy-seeking. They prefer relating to others in a deep, transformative way. As the fixed water sign, they’re laser-focused, magnetic, and compelled to achieve personal growth through emotionally-driven experiences. Meanwhile, those who entered the world when the sun was moving through Sagittarius, symbolized by the Archer, tend to be action-oriented, optimistic, knowledge-seeking, philosophical, blunt, and eager to take on the world. In turn, these energies lead November-born people to be incredibly commanding, family-oriented, spiritual-minded, generous, loyal, and dynamic.

4 Core Personality Traits of Those Born in November1. Spiritually Gifted

People born when the sun was moving through Scorpio are some of the most spiritually gifted of the whole zodiac, possessing a wildly on-point intuitiveness and are capable of reading emotional subtext. They’re capable of sitting with and moving through deep, complex experiences that might feel too dark, taboo, or even impossible to face for others, whether that’s related to intimate relationships or death. Meanwhile, those who came into the world during the sun’s time in Sagittarius are big picture thinkers whose ruling planet, philosophical Jupiter, offers them a thirst for knowledge and ability to cultivate an astute spiritual awareness.

2. Bold and Determined

People born in November are firebrands who have a lot of faith, self-belief, and focus that allows them to rise to the top when it comes to any personal goal or professional aspiration. Whether they’re influenced by Scorpio and benefit from fixed water energy that bolsters resoluteness and a desire to command a great deal of personal power, or they’re colored by Sagittarius and see any glass as half full, they’re unafraid to pursue lofty, impressive ambitions.

3. Family-Loving

Born in a month that is dedicated to spending a lot of cozy time with loved ones — whether you’re putting out your holiday decor, prepping for Thanksgiving, celebrating Hanukkah (which occasionally falls in November) — those who claim November as their birthday month are unquestionably devoted to their nearest and dearest. Scorpionic people tend to hold a special reverence for their elders and ancestors, while Sagittarian people adore prioritizing gregarious, festive, jovial, and truly memorable moments with their inner circle.

4. Risk-Taking

Scorpio-influenced people tend to be impressively fearless and self-possessed, which makes it easy for them to take calculated risks. They’re prone to pursuing exactly what they want, whether in the bedroom or boardroom, in a cool, confident way. Meanwhile, someone who boasts a great deal of Sagittarius in their birth chart brings a happy-go-lucky vibe to their risk-taking. If their heart is in something — whether that’s planning an adventurous long-distance trip or dating after a stint of being single — they’ll pour everything they have into the experience. After all, they believe with all of their soul and spirit that life is meant to be lived.

68 Years Ago, Elvis Presley Was Drafted—and His Life Would Never Be the Same

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 8:52am

Elvis Presley’s skyrocketing career hit a surprising pause when military service entered the picture 68 years ago.

On March 24, 1958, the King of Rock and Roll was inducted into the United States Army after he received a draft notice in December 1957. He reportedly deferred his first notice as he was filming the movie King Creole, per History.

Presley reported for duty, and the military treated him like any other young soldier. However, every other draftee didn't have cameras following their every move throughout the induction process.

History reported that Vernon and Gladys Presley were shocked at Presley's draft. Gladys was particularly distressed that her 23-year-old son would be away from home for almost two years. It would be the longest they had ever been separated.

“I’m kind of proud of it,” Presley said, according to The Arizona Daily Star. “It’s a duty I’ve got to fill, and I’m going to do it.”

The Commercial Appeal reported that after his processing and physical examination, Presley boarded a bus for Fort Chaffee, Arkansas before ending up at Fort Hood, Texas. He would spend six months in basic training before being sent to Germany.

Presley's deployment would be the last time he would see his mother in relatively good health. While he was stationed in Germany, she was diagnosed with hepatitis and hospitalized.

The entertainer would be granted leave once again in August to visit his mother, who was gravely ill. Gladys died on August 14, 1958, and four weeks later, Elvis returned to Germany.

While he was overseas, Presley met 14-year-old Priscilla Beaulieu. He was 24. They began a romantic relationship that continued once Presley was discharged from the military in 1960.

Presley said in a post-service press conference, "I had quite a few interesting experiences: Slept out in the snow, ate through rations. I suppose the biggest thing is that I did make it. I tried to play it straight like everybody else. I made a lot of friends that I wouldn’t have made otherwise. All in all, it’s been a pretty good experience.”

The entertainer returned to work in the industry, making movies and recording new music. In March 1963, Priscilla moved to Memphis and Graceland to be closer to Elvis. In 1966, they became engaged and married on May 1, 1967. Elvis and Priscilla welcomed their only daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, exactly nine months later.

Presley reflected on his time in the military, saying, "The hardest part of the entire military service was being away from the fans and just being away from show business altogether. That was the hardest part of all — it wasn’t the army, it wasn’t the other men, it was that. It stayed on my mind. I kept thinking about the past all the time, contemplating the future; that was the hardest part.”

Elvis Presley died in August 1977. He was 42.

Property Brothers Open Up About the 'Heartfelt, Relatable' Moments in Their Emotional New HGTV Show

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 8:45am

Drew Scott and Jonathan Scott's newest home makeover show, Property Brothers: Under Pressure, premiered on HGTV last week — and the series is off to an emotional start.

In fact, this may be one of the Property Brothers' most touching HGTV shows yet. In two new interviews to celebrate the show's debut, the Scotts opened up about some of the emotions viewers can expect to see in the first season. Read on to hear more.

On Property Brothers: Under Pressure, Fans Can Expect to Get Emotional

For the premiere 14-episode season of Property Brothers: Under Pressure, Drew and Jonathan Scott specifically cast subjects with smaller, more realistic budgets and heartwarming stories.

"Whether it's the first couple that lost their home in the LA fires, or generational families that are moving in together so they can afford to get a house — everybody's got a different story," Jonathan Scott told People in a recent interview. "You'll see there's also this real docu-style, kind of behind-the-scenes... We don't turn the camera off, so you get to see a lot of the stuff that normally would happen after we stopped rolling."

Drew Scott added that in the show, "the emotions are there. The frustrations — even Jonathan and me arguing. So you get a lot of everything.”

And in an interview with Collider, Jonathan added that viewers can expect to see "heartfelt, relatable stories throughout every episode."

Because the emotions are so high this season, Jonathan said that he and Drew "really tried to be not only there to help renovate ... but also be some support." Jonathan was specifically referencing AJ and Carin, whose story is featured in the first episode. The couple sadly lost their house in the Eaton fires, and came on Property Brothers: Under Pressure for help finding and renovating a new home.

"For AJ and Carin, you look at their home, which was only less than two minutes away from where Zooey's family home was that burned down," Jonathan told Collider.

Last year, Zooey Deschanel, who is engaged to Jonathan Scott, shared that the LA fires destroyed her childhood home. To help show AJ and Carin that they are not alone in this process of rebuilding after the fires, he took the couple over to the Deschanel family's construction site.

“I think it's trying to understand this is an emotional process for them and take the emotions off their plate and put it on our own, because we know how to deal with it," Drew added, per People.

Property Brothers: Under Pressure airs on HGTV on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT, and is available to stream the following day on HBO Max and Discovery+.

Additionally, kids under the age of three always have their own toy option, as the small pieces may not be a safe fit for them. Wendy's reminds customers that any Kids' Meal toy can be substituted for a Toddler Board Book. Just ask for the "Under 3 Toy Option" when you order to get a special treat suitable for even the youngest Wendy's fans. Currently, Wendy's is offering a Colorful Things book in place of the DC Comics collectible.

When Will Wendy's New DC Rides Kids' Meal Be Available?

Wendy's said its new DC Rides Kids' Meal collaboration will be available at participating stores in the U.S. and Canada beginning sometime this March and running through June, while supplies last (prices may vary). The exact timing of the rollout may vary as locations work to distribute any remaining items from the prior Kids' Meal Toy collection.

Getting COVID Again Is More Dangerous Than Most People Realize—Here’s What To Know

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 8:25am

The pandemic days of hoarding toilet paper and celebrating birthdays over Zoom seem like a lifetime ago. While in many ways, life has long felt “back to normal,” it’s important to acknowledge the millions of people whose lives were forever impacted by COVID. Many lost loved ones to the virus, creating an emptiness that is still very much felt.

While the rates of people being severely impacted by COVID have gone down drastically since the dawn of the pandemic, it’s important to still take the virus seriously. According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, COVID was associated with an estimated 290,000 to 450,000 hospitalizations and between 34,000 and 53,000 deaths between July 2024 and July 2025, the most recent year that data is available. These stats show just how much the virus is still impacting us.

Related: Doctors Are Seeing a Bizarre New COVID Symptom Right Now

“COVID is still circulating and continues to cause illness, especially during seasonal surges,” says Dr. Edmarie Guzmán-Vélez, PhD, a core member of the Center for Healthy Aging Research at Rutgers Institute of Health and who specializes in long COVID

Something else that you might not know is that getting re-infected with COVID can impact your health more than you may realize. If you’ve had COVID at least once already, it’s important to understand how getting it again can affect you. We talked to doctors about what they want everyone to know about getting COVID again, including why it can be dangerous.

How Getting COVID Numerous Times Impacts Health

At this point, six years after the start of the pandemic, it isn’t unusual for people to have gotten re-infected with COVID. You might know people who have contracted the virus three or four times. While many people may think it’s not a big deal to get COVID these days, doctors we talked to said that getting COVID numerous times is dangerous.

According to a study published in Nature Medicine, each COVID re-infection increases the risk of developing chronic health conditions, including diabetes, kidney disease, organ failure and mental health problems. Dr. Guzmán-Vélez says that it also increases the risk of getting long COVID, which is when symptoms related to contracting the COVID virus last more than three months. These symptoms can include respiratory problems (like shortness of breath or coughing), cognitive issues (like brain fog or memory problems), fatigue, dizziness and loss of taste and smell, among other symptoms.

Related: Subtle But Scary Symptoms of Long COVID That You Seriously Shouldn't Ignore

“Each COVID-19 infection is a new stress on the body. Repeated infections may increase the risk of long COVID by cumulatively affecting the immune system, inflammation and organ systems. In addition, each infection carries its own independent risk of triggering long COVID, so the more times someone is infected, the greater the overall chance of developing persistent symptoms,” Dr. Guzmán-Vélez says.

What makes getting long COVID especially dangerous is that there is currently no cure for it. Because of this, Dr. Guzmán-Vélez explains that long COVID treatment is centered around managing symptoms and improving quality of life. “This may include approaches such as physical rehabilitation, sleep management, mental health support and treatment of specific symptoms like pain or shortness of breath,” she says.

How To Decrease Your Risk of Long COVID

Certainly, no one wants to suffer from long COVID symptoms indefinitely, but it’s challenging to avoid ever coming into contact with the COVID virus, especially if your job involves being around other people.

“The best way to avoid long COVID is to prevent a severe COVID infection in the first place, and the best way to do that is by getting vaccinated every year,” says Dr. Brian Labus, PhD, MPH, an epidemiologist, infectious disease expert and public health professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

While you shouldn’t live your life in fear of being social, both doctors emphasize the importance of getting the COVID vaccine annually. Dr. Labus stresses that only getting the initial COVID vaccine is not enough for long-term protection. “If you haven't been vaccinated since the vaccine was first introduced, you have a lot less protection than someone who gets vaccinated every year. Staying up to date on your COVID vaccines is the best way to protect yourself from long COVID because the vaccine works really well to prevent severe disease and having severe disease is the greatest risk factor for developing long COVID,” he says.

If you think you may have long COVID, talk to your healthcare provider. That way, they can run tests to check for other possible causes for your symptoms as well as discuss ways to manage your symptoms. As Dr. Guzmán-Vélez explained before, while there is no cure for long COVID (at least not yet), there are many solutions for managing symptoms.

While you shouldn’t live your life in fear of COVID, it’s important to still take the virus seriously and stay up to date with the COVID vaccine. In this case, the best offense is a good defense.
